Writing A Cause And Effect Essay Outline
Writing an essay on the topic "Writing A Cause And Effect Essay Outline" can be quite
challenging, as it requires a deep understanding of the subject matter and a structured approach
to convey the information effectively. Crafting an outline for a cause and effect essay involves
identifying the relationships between various events and their outcomes, which demands
analytical thinking and clarity of expression.
One of the difficulties lies in determining the appropriate causes and effects to include in the
outline. It requires thorough research and critical thinking to select the most relevant and
significant factors that contribute to the chosen topic. Additionally, establishing a logical flow
and connection between different points is crucial to ensure the essay's coherence and readability.
Moreover, finding credible sources to support the causes and effects identified in the outline
adds another layer of complexity. The process of gathering information, evaluating its reliability,
and integrating it seamlessly into the essay requires time and effort.

precision in language use. Ensuring that each point is clearly articulated and that the overall

Physical Description Of The Red Foxes
Informative Essay: Red Fox
Introduction
This essay is going to involve with the following points (1) Origin and history of the
red foxes. The foxes belong to Canidae(YUAN,2017).They live around the world
except in Antarctica and Southeast Asia(YUAN,2017).The red fox is the most seen
of all fox species and they come from smaller sized ancestors from
Eurasia.(YUAN,2017). Red fox is found in a wide kind of habitats, including forests,
hills, desert, and farmland(Caroline Arnold,2013). (2) The physical description of a

Red fox is found in a wide kind of habitats, including forests, hills, desert, and

small mammals digging underground and catch them(YUAN,2017). The diets of

The Battle Of Chaplin Hill Analysis
The Battle of Chaplin Hill MG Kirby Smith s Confederate Army of Kentucky
entered through Rogers Gap and his first task was to face off with his old comrade
from West Point Brigade General (BG) George Morgan. The objective was to cut
off his supplies back to Lexington, starve out his army, or he would accept a retreat.
Feeling confident in his army capabilities, MG Smith detached his 1st Division, by
far his largest, 9,000 strong commanded by Carter Stevenson to advance on the Gap,
while his reaming force pushed northward to Barbourville and London. Stevenson
handled the Gap with ease; little resistance opposed the Confederate advance in
Barbourville. MG Smith would set his sights on Lexington, while leaving Stevenson

Examples Of Revenge In The Count Of Monte Cristo

Revenge Has Penalties Samuel Johnson once said, Revenge is an act of passion;
vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged. He points out that
without passion one will not have one s revenge. Passion is an essential tool to help
fuel one s continuous search for revenge to gain justice. If someone inflicts harm
upon another, they should expect retribution coming their way. This is what occurs in
the adventurous, fictional novel The Count of Monte Cristo written by Alexandre
Dumas. DantГЁs is forced to spend his youthful years in the ChГўteau d lf, a state
prison, because of Danglars , Fernand s, and Villefort s selflessness. Once he escapes

Although DantГЁs vengeance is a success, he loses his identity and even harms
other people he did not intend to hurt. Fernand loses his honor which leads him to
commit suicide, Danglars goes bankrupt, and Villefort becomes mad. To
accomplish his vengeance he goes by many aliases, but his primary one being the
Count of Monte Cristo. He is introduced to Franz and Albert by Signor Pastrini, I
suppose you know that the Count of Monte Cristo lives on the same floor as you
(Dumas 134). This is when the audience is first introduced to Monte Cristo. He
predominantly keeps the title the Count of Monte Cristo throughout the book, but at
the very end he signs a letter, Your friend, Edmond DantГЁs, acknowledging that he

A Rhetorical Analysis Of The Ethics Of Leaks By Jon
Marcus
Journal article The Ethics of Leaks by Jon Marcus addresses the broad topic of leaks
in journalism. Although the journal primarily focuses on political leaks and
government information, it provides really good information on the idea behind
leaked information as an element that has become a major element of modern
journalism. (Marcus, 2017) Even though leaked music is not the same as leaked
documents, both are still valuable to journalists. The journal mentions that leaked
information should always be verified before being used online. It talks about the
mistake some journalists make of rushing to post information too quickly. However,
when thinking of this in context of the music leaks, the situations are different. Music
leaks do not need... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The case has already been solved and the Rolling Stone never received any legal
repercussion for using the links which goes to show what side was given more
value. It also says a lot about the philosophical framework that was used to solve
the case. Like Lethal mentioned in his Harvard Law Review, utilitarianism was an
idea that he linked to copyright laws and it is also a philosophical framework that
can be used to explain why the Rolling Stone were allowed to use the links.
Utilitarianism is a philosophy that focused on the end result of an action, i.e. the
consequences. It bases its ethical theory on maximizing the utility and making
sure something is the most useful for the largest amount of people, or by
something that has the greater amount of importance. In this case, Rolling Stone
was looking out for the masses which are their readers. Many people rely on them
essentially for music news as has been mentioned before. Utilitarianism was born
from socialism which advocates for social ownership which can mean public or
collective ownership by the citizens to create equity. This philosophical ties really
well into the case study because Rolling Stone was allowed to use the links so that
everyone would have access to the music or at least the opportunity of listening if
they so choose to. If Rolling Stone would have been denied the ability to use the
links it could be said that the judges would be favoring a more
Ford Mustang Pros And Cons
2005 Ford Mustang There was a time, once, when it symbolized everything
Americans loved about their cars. Powerful. Fast looking, with a tough stance.
Practical enough to be convenient, and impractical enough to be fun. Affordable.
It could gallop like a horse and a regular guy could afford one. It was the people s
icon of American car culture. Was. It s a bitter, lonely word. And at some point,
people started connecting it to the Mustang. While Ford executives will point to the
sales figures (140,000 last year) as proof that the Mustang has always been a great
seller with a strong following, there was, nonetheless, a fading love for the car that
has been a part of the American highway landscape for 40 years. The Mustang simply

glory days of the past in a contemporary design that will not feel out of place on the

arrives this fall, the Mustang will do the trick if it drives like it looks. And all
indications are that it will meet the standard of a design that wowed journalists as
a concept last year. Designed after classic pony cars of the 1960s, the fastback

Proctor Pride Quotes
Pride in what you do and who you are is a strong foundation, but don t be defined
by your oppression; use your anger, don t let it use you, (Dave Mckean http:/
/meetville.com/quotes/tag/pride/page57 2010 2014 Meetville). Proctor tries to
free himself from his pride or from his honest conscience. Proctor has many sins
from the past catching back up with him, putting his wife, family, himself, and
even the town in danger. Proctors pride saves him from committing more sins, but
still, in a way ends in a tragedy. Proctor seems to have the weight of the world on
his shoulders at this time period. He cheated on his loving wife, breaks it off with
his girlfriend, and now his girlfriend is out to get his wife and his family. Cheating
on his wife is what got him into the mess he s in so he s feeling pretty bad for him.
Proctor then breaks it off with Abigail, his girlfriend, and then confesses his love
for his wife and promises to remain loyal to her. Proctor: Abby, youВ’ ll put it out of
mind. IВ’ ll not be cominВ’ for you more. (Crucible Arthur Millller Act 1 Page 23).

The Wife Of Bath s Tale
Geoffrey Chaucer The Father of English, is best known for his literary work The
Canterbury Tales. In which his most realistically developed character is The Wife of
Bath. In The Canterbury Tales, the Wife of Bath s Tale has been seen as
controversial because in the middle ages womanhad no say in anything including
marriage. She considered herself an expert as a wife, (Chaucer, l. 12) and on
marriage because of her past experiences in five marriages. She believed that a
marriage controlled by the woman is a happy marriage, and her beliefs on marriage
are directly connected to the tale she tells.
The Wife of Bath, whose name is Alisoun, has some unusual ideas on marriage,
especially for a woman in the Middle Ages. She considers ... Show more content on

In her tale a handsome young knight is charged with rape and is sentenced to death
by the king. The queen gives him a year and a day to spare his life if he can answer
the question what is the thing that women most desire? (Chaucer, l. 81) On the last
day he meets an elderly woman who gives him the answer and he promises her that
when all of it is over he will give her whatever she desires if it is in his power. The
knight goes before the queen and presents the answer that was told to him by the
elderly woman and the answer is correct. When he asked the woman what she
wanted she replied to be your wife. The knight refused to marry the old woman, he
pleaded her to ask for anything else but that. The old woman said that she would
only settle for marriage and so they got married. On their wedding the knight
expressed his feeling and how he thought that he was to good for her because she
was too old, ugly, and poor. The woman then told him that although she was old,
ugly, and poor she would be a faithful wife. She then proposed to him a choice
would he want her to be old, ugly, poor, and faithful or young and beautiful and risk
that when his friends came over to visit they would visit for the sole purpose of
seeing her. The knight then told her that she could choose and the woman told him
does this mean i will be in control of this marriage? The knight told her yes, yes, yes.

Saola are endangered animals that live in Vietnam, and they are related to cattle.
The population size of the Saola are unknown, but it is expected to range from a
dozen to a little over one hundred. They are very rare.
They are being pushed near to extinction because of the rainforest being cut down in
copious amounts. This is forcing them to compete for space, food and mates.
Hunters are also more capable of killing large amounts of them because they are now
all in one area. Saola are not intentionally hunted. Most of the time they are killed by
snares and traps when others set it up.
Established protection areas are being created to make hunting the Saola illegal and
prevent poaching.
There are no Saola in captivity. Scientist cannot capture a Saola to study or breed in

Non Verbal Communication In Health Care
Verbal communication is choice words influenced by education, age, gender, and
culture. It s the exchange of information that is used to continue additional
conversation or provide necessary information. Verbal communication can be bias to
one s own beliefs and experiences and is often misunderstood when these biases are
placed at the forefront. Effective verbal communicationin healthcare employs more
than one s own opinion but embraces the thoughts of the patients. Non verbal
communication interprets verbal communication through systemic observation and
behaviors. It relies on the five senses and reflexes on these senses to interpret
emotions. Non verbal communication can be misinterpreted when there is a lack of

To some, therapeutic communication involves the process of verbal interactions
between two or more people. This interaction can exchange information, elaborate on
a topic, or formulate opinion in a day to day process. Day to day communication,
however, does not rely on building and grouping information for a distinctive cause,
thus the aim of communication is not focused on personal rapport but through a
process where information is exchanged between individuals, (Merriam
Webster,2015). Likewise, person centered communication is targeted toward
interpersonal contact, the sharing of experience, and a deep understanding of self and
other, (Motschnig Nykl, 2014). Person centered communication combines the
feelings and thoughts of all involved not the needs and wants of the individual,
however, a significant element of person centered care is effective therapeutic
communication between care providers and clients, (Schwind,McCay, Metersky,
Martin, 2016). To many, communication stands alone and encompasses behaviors for
those involved to develop ways to set a more functional personal structure of
conveying information. Communication is a complex process of sending and
receiving messages. Similarly, therapy alone does not include communication but is
an action of doing or treating. By definition therapy is treatment intended to relive or
heal a disorder, (Meriam Webster, 2015). Therapeutic communication in a hospital
setting is essential in maintaining good quality of life because it allows the provider
to interact with the patient while at the same time providing comfort. In order to
provide care that is therapeutic there should be demonstration of respect and
compassion while communicating with the patient (Webster, 2013). The belief that
all communication is therapeutic overlooks the person as a human being or the
patient as an emotional
Analysis Of The Movie The Tv Series Californication
American Culture can be displayed in many forms in a variety of shows, but the TV
series Californication is one that expresses both the good and the bad parts about
living in a modern society. Californication is about a self loathing writer named Hank
Moody trying to repair his relationship with his daughter Becca and her mother Karen
while simultaneously trying to fight his sex addiction, his budding addiction to drugs
and the inability to stop making bad decisions (Kapinos, IMDb). This show depicts
American Culture through the main characters lives through tragedy, family, romantic
relationships, and friendships.
Starting with Hank Moody, he is the main character in this show he is a successful
novelist who up and moves from New York to Las Angeles, California to turn his
novel into a screenplay. Which he ultimately ends up hating and is unhappy about it
on many accounts throughout the show (Kapinos, netflix). From the lack of
motivation to write and the alcohol and drug binges California has ultimately
changed Hank for the worse. This really shows that there are bad parts about
American culture it tells us how drugs have become a normal part of some people s
lives. Hank can be described as intelligent, sarcastic, a smooth talker and a
womanizer. Despite his love for women and drugs Hank s ultimate goal is to be a
good father to his teenaged daughter Becca and the loving and supportive partner he
should be with Karen.
Hank s life seems more like a downward spiral of
Play Education Essay
Play Education is the most important activity in the lives of children. Play is the
foundation of learning for young children. For children play, is how they begin to
understand and process their world? The best part for children is that play is fun and
this keeps them always wanting more because they enjoy participating in it. Play
education is for children up until age 12. And different ages are broken down into
groups. Giving the child time and some few basic toys can provide them with a
variety of valuable learningopportunities. It is important to let children explore and

They start to understand and create the imaginary world. The kinds of toys to help
with this group are for example push pull toys, balls, child size play furniture, and
doll furniture, take apart toys, and stuffed animals. You can introduce games like
tag, catch, hiding things, and as easy as bouncing or jumping. Next set of age is
from 3 to 6 years old. This is when children start creating play worlds, understanding
of modern environments, moving confidently through space, and understanding
media. These kids need to act out more to get the feeling of the world around them.
Toys like toy phones, clocks, groceries and small cars, planes, trucks, and boats can
help them understand the world better. The games that can be brought up for this
group can be hide and seek, reverse roles, motor skills, and imitating things and
people. At the age of 6 to 9 years old is when they start seeing imaginary fantasy
worlds; they will be trying out work world and learning social strategies. At this age
they understand games more efficiently and can start playing board games, tabletop
sports games, start playing with racing cars, and marbles which is a coordinated game

The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner by Randal Jarrell
In the first line of the The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner Jarrell states, When I
died they washed me out of the turret with a hose (5). Jarrell does not elaborate; he
makes it very clear that war is gruesome. However, the literary techniques used in the
other four lines of Death of the Ball Turret Gunner give this theme even deeper
meaning and make his point so effective. Jarrell criticizes the governmentfor its
insensitivity toward the fate if its solders. Jarrell does mention how scared the gunner
is, or call out the government for the brutalities and terrors the gunner has witnessed
and experienced; he simply states the events that occurred, allowing the reader to
make these conclusions for himself. Jarrell uses imagery to convey the gruesome
horrors of combat, perplexity to simultaneously establish the gunner s emotional
condition, and finally tone to portray the government s perspective of soldiers that die.
The imagery Jarrell uses not only conveys the terrifying situation the ball turret
gunner is in, it also exhibits the difference between the gunner s previous experiences
and his current situation. The first line indicates the ball turret gunner safe. He
mentions his mother s sleep (1), meaning the sleep during which he is in her womb.
This gives the reader the impression that he came from a protected, warm, and
comfortable environment. This environment contradicts with his present situation
being, hunched in its belly till my wet fur froze (2). The

Science Fiction, Melodrama and Western Intersect in David Lynch s Dune
A genre is a grouping of works, in this context a grouping of films, that are somehow
similar or related in content or style. Genres are not strictly uniform over a period of
time and do allow for growth and adaptation of their definitive characteristics. As the
film industry has developed through the past century, various genres of films have
emerged and are still evolving. Aspects of genres have been redefined and
intermingled through the history of film. There have also been, throughout the
progression of filmmaking, films which do not strictly fall into one genre or which
combine elements of several genres. David Lynch s 1984 film Dune is a fascinating

Melodrama, as a film genre, is deeply rooted in the institution of the family and
various incarnations and evolved states of the family unit. Familial issues arise more
often in science fiction than has been widely acknowledged. The futuristic universe
of Dune and all of the action of the film is motivated by inter and intra familial
conflicts and resolutions. Science fiction, at times, appears to be merely a scientific
or futuristic setting for the same kind of melodrama film that has been made for
years. However, according to Westfahl, science fiction reconstructed melodrama in a
manner which complicated and undermined its traditional clarity (193). Thus
whereas in a melodrama such as The Cobweb, the initial conflict of the narrative is
merely left unresolved (but on an optimistic beat), in the science fiction melodrama,
the film is ended with a hopelessly compromised happy ending (Westfahl, 203).
Such is the case with Dune: as the film closes, rain pours down on the desert planet.
The rain is meant to represent a positive miracle and something that is desirable, but
the fact that rain would turn the desert sand to mud, potentially drowning and killing
the giant worms and thus ending all spice production is ignored. The ending leaves
the film on a happy note, but the ending has not resolved the film: it had added more
conflict to be resolved. Dune is

The Malhotra Committee Report set the tone of change in the Indian insurance sector

liberalizing Indian life and general insurance industry. However, due to political
instability the bill could not be ratified by the Indian parliament. The bill was
subsequently termed as IRDA Act and passed in the Parliament on 7 December
1999. With the passing of the bill the monopoly position of LIC was removed and
private companies were allowed to operate in the Indian insurance market. After the

Smoking Vs Smoking
Some people say smoking is not good for your health while others think it s fine if
you do smoke. People think smoking cigarettes can help with plenty of things such as
feeling depressed, having trouble sleeping, feeling irritable, having trouble focusing,
poverty, and many more reasons. In 1949, dentists would suggest smokingViceroys
over anything else because Viceroys filter the smoke. While, in 2014, you shouldn

While he is at this grocery store he buys a pack of cigarettes, the worker says that s

looks like he knows that there are repercussions of smoking. The male then removes
one of his teeth. The commercial is trying to tell people that smoking can and will

Why Is Shakespeare The Licorice Of Literature
Shakespeare: The Licorice of Literature Shakespeare s works are commonly taught
in the American public education system. For every student who claims they d
rather walk on nails or some equally gruesome alternative to reading Shakespeare,
there is another person who claims him to be a literary god. Its reception among
students and the general population is highly polarized, just a the treat, licorice, is.
Whether you detest or adore it, you ve heard of it. Julius Caesar, a unique play about a
unique person, is one of Shakespeare s most revered and critiqued works. The play
has been carefully scrutinized by critics from all of the ages since the release. The
responses are broad; from an excellent drama to one of Shakespeare s weaker works,
everyone has an opinion on Julius Caesar.
Ben Jonson, a 17th century poet, wrote an emotional piece serenading Shakespeare in

However, the play Julius Caesar disappointed him. He claimed it to be cold and
unaffecting, compared with some other of Shakespeare s plays, (Cerasno). The play
has been praised for its remarkable historical accuracy; Shakespeare s probable access
to Plutarch s history writings were to thank. Oddly enough, Samuel Johnson blamed
Shakespeare s strict adherence to historical truth for the play s dramatical lackings. If
Shakespeare would have had complete creative freedom without the restrictions of
historical accuracy, then the play would have been more of a success to Samuel
Johnson. Many others in the 17th century thought the complete opposite of this idea.
The play is dramatical excellence and historical truth according to an unnamed critic
in the 17th century. To this critic, the play manages to be both excellent in its
entertainment value and in its historical accuracy (Cerasno). There is little doubt that
the play has historical truths, but whether or not it is an excellent drama, is up to

LLCs are similar to corporations, but can be taxed as a partnership. In California,
the LLC can have either one owner or two. Regardless of the number, these owners
carry the legal title of member. The LLC provides a shield for your personal assets
just like a corporation. Partnerships In my opinion, it is better to have died a small
child then be in a partnership. Unfortunately, many business owners form
partnerships and don t even know it. This occurs when they go into business with
another person. If no business entity is formed, the law considers the business to
be a partnership and treats it accordingly. Partnerships are dangerous for one
primary reason: a partnership does not provide any protection from liability and, in
many ways, invites personal liability. Under well established law, most
partnerships are classified as general . This simply means that all the partners are
contributing to the administration and running of the partnership business. This
classification can have grisly results. In a general partnership, each partner is
jointly liable for the debts of any other partner arising from the business. For
instance, you and your partner go to a business dinner with a client. Your partner
has a drink and then a few more. They then get into an accident on the way home.
Each of the partners is liable for the damages claimed by the injured people. That
means YOU! Even if you were not in the car, did not rent the car, never saw the
Augusta Ada s Life And Accomplishments
Augusta Ada Byron was born in London on December 10, 1815, and was the
daughter of a famous poet ,named Lord Byron. Her parents did not have a very
happy marriage and once Ada was born, they seperated. A few months after she
was born, her dad left to England and never saw her again. He later then died when
Ada was 8. I assume that because her parents seperated at a young age and Ada was
too young to get to know her father, his absensce probably didn t affect her as much
as it would have if she were older when this happened. Because her father wasn t
around, Ada was brought up by her mother, who was always insisting on getting Ada

How Breaking Bad Is Created By Vince Gilligan Essay
In this essay, I will analyse the TV show, Breaking Bad which is created by Vince
Gilligan, in relation to the theory of narrative. I will be basing this essay on the first
episode of Breaking Bad and also the TV show as a whole. We will learn to what
extent Breaking Bad reflects conventional narrative structure. First the essay will
identify what conventional narrativestructure is. I will then analyse how Breaking Bad
reflects the different parts that make up narrative structure, including, the three act
structure and characterroles. I will then determine what is different about Breaking
Bad and what parts of it do not conform to conventional narrative structure. I will be
discovering how the use of conventional narrative structure effects how the audience
views the text.
Narrative structure is about both the content of a story, and how the story is told by
using plot. There are different things that made up the narrative structure of a text.
These include, the three act structure and the roles of the characters. The three act
structure is a model that is used in screenwriting to divide a narrative into different
parts (Cod.edu, 2015). The first act of a three act structure is called setup. This is
where setting, character, and their situations are introduced to the audience. The
second act is when something big happens so that there are major changes in the
characters life. Act three is when the problems and changes in the characters life are
resolved (Writerswrite.com,

screaming. She then glanced at her leg, which was warped backwards.
Caroline was brought to a hospital and told that she had a dislocated patella. She

Communication In The Movie Arrival
What would happen if alien life forms landed on earth? How would we communicate
and cooperate with them? If there was a conflict, how would we fix it? The movie
Arrival, directed by Denis Villeneuve attempts to answer these questions.
The movie begins with an expert linguist Louise Banks, (Amy Adams) losing her
only daughter to cancer at a young age. This is an important key to the storyline,
but it gets set aside as soon as twelve gigantic unidentified space craft appear in
different places around the world. Within a day Louise is summoned by the United
States Military to decipher the language of the aliens. Shortly after arriving at the
base, Louise is sent into the large black shell along with a team of men and physics
specialist Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner). The door to the shell only opened every
eighteen hours. Once inside, the pod leads to a luminous chamber with a large glass
screen like a movie theater. On the other side of the glass emerged from the fog; two
squid like creatures that were later named Heptapods. Because the military did not
know the language of the aliens, they needed Louise to determine a way to
communicate with these creatures and figure out why they were here. Throughout
the movie, Louise would have memories of the child that died at the beginning of the
movie, however, she seemed to be confused immediately after the flashback.
Although the Heptapods were not showing any signs of aggression, other countries

The Importance Of Toxic Leadership
The Corps of the Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) has been around since the
formation of the Continental Army in 1775. The basic responsibility of the NCO
was to fill gaps in the lines and keep soldiers quiet on mission while leading
(Perkioniemi, 2009). Currently, the responsibilities of the NCO focus on soldier
welfare and accomplishing the mission (NCO Creed). Toxic leadershipis a serious
concern for the military, and it is undermining the reputation of the NCO Corps.
What is toxic leadership, how can it be addressed, and what will happen to the Corps
if it is allowed to continue?
Toxic leadership as defined by Wilson (2014) is a combination of self centered
attitudes, motivations, and behaviors that have adverse effects on subordinates,
the organization, and mission performance . NCOs, just as civilians, range from
poor leaders to excellent leaders; but when does poor leadership become toxic
leadership and what causes this toxic leadership? Not every soldier is born to lead.
Some soldiers are bad decision makers, poor time managers, or just unable to
inspire confidence in their fellow soldiers. There is nothing wrong with being a
follower if you are a competent individual who can perform the given tasks. A
NCO who cannot step up and lead is not a toxic leader, they are a bad leader. With
education and training NCOs with poor leaderships skills develop into competent
leaders.
Toxic leadership is a result of narcissistic leaders, individuals who have an

This can be misinterpreted as saying Nine lies, capsized. Using every woman in

sings. Brian Johnson has a unique voice and does not sing clearly. So, you can
read the lyrics yourself, then listen to the song and hear something completely
different. Brian Johnson is from Northeast England, known as Tyneside. The
people who live there are infamously known for their accent, which is called a
Geordie accent. This accent is typically associated with the working class people
of the region, but until the 80 s was referred to anyone in Northeast England. So,
the fact that there is already a dialectal difference, from Great Britain to the United
States, plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics. Plus, Johnson s accent plays a big
role into mishearing the lyrics as well. My dad is an outdoorsman, he likes to fish,

Art Comparison
Art is an incredible medium when used to its fullest potential. What I mean by that
is; it has the capabilities to surround the viewer with its imagery and play with the
emotions. Paintings are particulary effective in doing this through the use of color
tones and temperature . For example; El Greco used a lot of blue and green
throughout his body of work. The outcome is that the subject matter comes off as
ghostly and perhaps a little alien. This is in high contrast to Georgia O Keeffe s
desert paintings, which utilise reds, yellows, and browns to create a warm and
appealing landscape.
Of course, these are not the only artist to make master works of tonality. Here are

Both Velazquez s Old Woman and Rembrandt s Prodigal Son are bathed in (or
painted in) golden yellow tones. While both are wearing clothes of differing colors,
each pigment is mixed with a little yellow, white, or light brown to give warmth to
the figure. This helps them to contrast to the very dark background. I like how
Rembrandt has figures in the background that are almost indiscernable. By being part
of the opposing (darker) tonal group, we as viewers are shown that they are not the
most important part of the portrait; that the son and father are. Velazquez, however,
chooses to have all elements of interest in the lighter tones in his painting, leaving the
back as a dark void of mystery.
Van Gogh is probably one of the most interesting painters concerning tonality. His
purposeful usage of one color in a body of work is a strong reference to emotion
(particularly in his portraits). His expressive brush work swirls the blues, and slight
yellow and green, around his face. Even his skin has a bluish hue. These elements
describe a somber or sorrowful state of mind. Its as almost if the troubles around him
are seeping into his skin (like the blue).
That being said, tonality is both the friend of the artist and the art lover. It is a
wonderful story

Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every time he or she puts on
their uniform. For instance, it is quite emotional for the family of any law
enforcement officer to see their loved one go to work and not know what their
shift will entail. One way that a family could endure the emotions is to pray for
their loved one who is in law enforcement. Whereas the officers job stress is at high
levels so could their personal lives. Some studies in particular, show how family,
friends, and the community treated by the officers could depend on the officers level
of stress and how well positive adaptation occurs (Hille, 2009). Understanding that
the law enforcement officers job is stressful enough, their home lives should not be.
As of 2000, police officers were seven times more likely to commit suicide than

stems from the outward show of how the officers deal with their job stress. For
instance, some of the ways officers handle their stress could be drinking, physically
abusing their wives or children, or acting carelessly on vacation or on a family

Environmental Sustainability Of Urban Heat Islands
Scientific research into the dynamics of urban heat islands and possible remedies to
the problem are vital in the cause of balancing human activities with environmental
sustainability. The urgent and imminent environmentally and economically damaging
effects of urban heat islands are concerning topics which necessitate equally as drastic
solutions, some of which have already begun to be instated, but may not go far
enough in protecting our planet. This paper discusses the present measures put in
place to help improve urban heatislands, what the future may have in store without
further work, and why our planet s fate greatly depends on these measures.
Furthermore, an in depth discussion regarding additional measures that can be
effectively and efficiently used to improve urban heat islands will be explored. As
aware citizens, individual and collective responsibility in respects to urban heat
islands will be central in neutralizing the urban heat islandcrisis, and action must be
taken before it is too late. An urban heat island is a metropolitan area that suffers from
recurrent high temperatures compared to the cooler temperatures of its rural
surroundings. There are many factors that contribute to the creation of urban heat
islands, but if proper adjustment is done to albedo, architecture, and vegetation, there
will be an effective and efficient reduction in city temperatures. Recent studies have
shown that urban temperatures are gradually rising, and this dynamic is

Relevance Of Long Term Crisis Response
Relevance of Long term Crisis Response in Counseling in Suicidal Clients
The main focus of crisis response technique is on the client s presentation i.e. their

developed in the 1930 s by cartoonists at Walt Disney Studios? Because they drew
everything by hand, they needed to save time and effort by following the directions
of a storyboard!
The thing about storyboards is that they don t have to look perfect. Usually, they
consist of quick sketches that visually demonstrate how the characters, props and the

If you have access to a whiteboard, create a visual map of the rising action of the
story as well.
Introduce the process of storyboarding and share an example of the storyboarding
handout with the group.
Storyboards are important for a number of reasons! Not only do they let you
visualize what you are going to film, but they cut down on the time it takes to make
a film because you know exactly what to do in each shot. Each scene on the
storyboard will need a basic sketch of who/what will be in the shot, directions
about what will happen as well as any dialogue or sound effects in that shot. Be sure
to brainstorm and plan out your storyboard before starting to fill in your printout!
You may want to work on a piece of scratch paper before setting it in stone.
Storyboard Time (small groups)
Time to sharpen your pencils and get creative! Break out into groups with
storyboards and pencils in hand, and have them start drafting their movies. It s okay
if groups go through two or three drafts before they decide on a final story. Making a
new storyboard is a lot easier than filming a whole new
Beloved Character Analysis
Sethe, the mother of four is tormented everyday by the attempt to make her
children safe. Her two boys left home long ago and now she resides in her home at
I24 with her only living daughter Denver. In the novel Beloved, written by Toni
Morrison the character Beloved seeks to gain power over a her family, and those
around her.
Sethe is always in a constant power struggle with the ghost baby the haunts her
house. Full of baby s venom. The women in the house knew it and so did the
children. For years each put up with the spite in his own way (Morrison 1). This
quote is talking about the ghost baby in the house that haunts the family that
resides in it. It seeks power over the whole house in the beginning. This caused her
two boys to leave the house because the baby was out to get them. Made him trust
her enough to step inside her door smack into a pool of pulsing red light... a wave
of grief soaked him so thoroughly he wanted to cry (Morrison 11). A visitor Paul D
is talking about how it felt to walk into the house, this is how the baby is seeking
power over everyone in that house because this is how it feels most of the time in the
house. Constantly causing pain, and grief in a way. The ghost baby causes this type
of pain and torment throughout the whole novel, seeking power and control over
Sethe inpartiular. This power struggle is shown at an even bigger even when the
ghost baby is reincarnated as a real young women known as Beloved. She is the oldest
daughter of Sethe.
Summary Of The Damage Done And The Happiest Refugee
Autobiographical texts are not simple retellings of experiences, but the result of a
complex process of shaping and refining ideas and events that take place in
someone s life. The texts The Damage Done and The Happiest Refugee by Warren
Fellows and Anh Do respectively, follow two different stories of survival and
chance. One, a tale of the dealings of drug trafficking, and the other a description of
a brave and valiant escape from post war Vietnam. Through use of structure and
language devices, my views of these two men and their surroundings have been
shaped and manipulated; for Fellows, the view that he is simply an innocent victim
of chance, and for Do, that he is a family man, shaped by significant events in his
early life. Language conventions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Essay On How To Prevent Internet Hacking
Technology is the most essential unit in human life. One of the most important forms
of technology is the internet. The internet is used by every business all over the
world. Majority of companies have their own websites, social media accounts,
company e mails, and software systems to operate within their business. Businesses
that are on the internetset an image for their company and ultimately target customers
into their business. It is also a great way for communication, whether its through e
mailor social media, the internet provides an effective way to communicate between
one another. The internet through businesses also presents some of the most vital
pieces of information the company has to offer. The internet is widely used
throughout the business world, which equates to many anti virus and protection
programs throughout the computers and electronics of the business. However, there
are many groups and individual people who attempt to break into a business s website

hackers can do severe jail time if they are caught. Even with all the punishments a
person can receive, people still try to break into businesses websites, e mails, and
software systems to either gain an edge on the company to further themselves, or the
make a statement that the anti virus and protection programming is just not strong
enough to outlast an internet hacker. There have been many companies file lawsuits
Old Major s Speech In Animal Farm
The Rise and Fall The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth
(Orwell 6). Old Major s speech and advocacy for the rebellion is what helps the
animals overthrow Mr. Jones in George Orwell s novella Animal Farm. The
novella shows the story of farm animals when they rule themselves. The pigs on
the farm claim themselves as the most fit to rule the other animals and change all
of Old Major s initial ideas, with help from Squealer s persuasion, for their own
benefit. Through the use of rhetoric, Orwell is able to show the progression of the
Russian Revolution by Lenin s initial revolutionary ideas, the manipulation by
Stalin and the ruling class, and the corruption of the trust shared between the
working class and the ruling class. In summary, Old Major s speech is to cause an
uprising within the animals. Old Major is the speaker of this speech and he talks
about the changes he wants to see on the farm. The larger occasion is that Old
Major wants his audience to feel indignation. The immediate occasion is wants his
audience to revolt against Mr. Jones. The audience to this speech are the animals
on the farm who want to see changes in their laborious lives. The purpose of Old
Major giving this speech is to spark a revolution against the substandard treatment
from Mr. Jones and his men. Additionally, Old Major s speech uses emotional words
and phrases to make the audience know and feel how wrong their situation is. Old
Major declares, Now, comrades,
Analysis Of Santha Rama s Essay By Any Other Name
Culturally Viewing People and the World Does culture shape how we view the
world and people? Well culture involves where people are from, how they are
raised, and what they eat. Based on what culture is and text such as By Any Other
Name , Ethnic Hash , and Two Kinds , it is shown that a person s culturedetermines
the impact on how a person views others and the world. In Santha Rama s essay By
Any Other Name Santha shows readers that she as well as her teacher are guided by
culture. Premila and I were the only ones who had Indian food (Rama 45). Premila
and Santha are two Indian girls who attend school in a British run establishment. At
the school, there were mostly white students and a few Indian students such as
Premila and Santha.
The Harmful Effects of No Child Left Behind
The Harmful Effects of NCLB
The No Child Left Behind act is the Bush administration s sweeping educational
reform, aimed at improving the performance of the nation s public schools by
introducing accountability. Supporters of the act claim that it will increase the
performance of all school children by raising the standards and allowing parents
greater freedom in choosing the school they want their child to attend. The act also
puts in place a system of punishment for schools if their student body does not
perform to the standards set down by the National government (NCLB act). As well
as increasing standards, this act also encourages teachers to use a curriculum which
the government developed with scientifically based research (a ... Show more content

She had wanted to tell him that he didn t have to take the test, and that he could do
something else until the other children were done, but because of the NCLB act, she
had to make him sit there for the entire test period while he cried uncontrollably. This
type of overarching test not only prevents teachers from catering to lower performing
students; it also prevents them from challenging the exceptional students. When a
teacher is required to teach all of the children at the same level, it prevents many kids
from learning to their potential; instead forming an environment in which every child
strives for mediocrity.
Many teachers complain that all of the joy of teaching, the very reasons why they
went into the profession, have been replaced by prescripted lessons and impossible
standards (Tyre 1). One teacher from Ohio describes how she teaches words by
pointing at each letter and having the kids tell her the sound, and then asking the
class as a whole what the word is (this lesson coming from a book of 200 pre made
lessons) (Wood 13). These types of universal instruction abound through all public
schools. It is clear that when teachers are required to teach this way, they will be
unable to cater to specific children s needs, instead pushing them all toward the
same, standardized goal. I observed this effect with my own eyes while tutoring for a

Henry s Real Ending In Zoot Suit By Luis Valdez
In the book Zoot Suit by Luis Valdez, he did not include a real ending for Henry.
He split the the end into three different stories based upon the characters and their
relationship with Henry. Doing so order to make the readers interpret the story and
decide on an ending based off the character s beliefs but as well as theirs of Henry
Leyvas, three of which strayed from Henry s real end to his life. The press always
seems to make Henry look bad. Their negative view on Henry is visible by the way
they describe their ending of Henry. Describing him as a criminal, killer, and a bad
person in general, Henry Reyna went back to prison in 1947 for robbery and
assault with a deadly weapon. While incarcerated he killed another inmate and
wasn t released until 1955, when he got into hard drugs. Within the book the press
is known to not tell the complete truth or over exaggerate circumstances involving
Henry or just zoot suiters in general. Doing so to earn themselves more sales. This
was expressed by Alice when she was meeting Henry for the first time, Are you

Shoes For High School
Three years ago, I started my journey to provide shoes for the fifth graders attending
the J.B. Sutton Elementary School. Now, three schools in the same school district
were given shoes for their fifth grade students. However, if an individual would have
told the fifteen year old me that one day this would be happening, I would have
laughed because the challenges of providing shoesfor one school were astronomical. It
would entail that the shoecommittee would need to raise $4,000, measure around
300 feet, and find a way to deliver all of the shoes to the children. Other challenges
that arose over the years were the schools administration changing frequently and
having to explain what our mission was and why we were providing the shoes.
Furthermore, another dilemma was that the fifth grade students were regularly be
absent, suspended, or relocate to a different school district, which inhibited the
team from garnering proper shoe sizes and totals. Another exceedingly oppressing
obstacle our team would face was dealing with a student who was wearing a shoe
that was undersized. For instance, our compassion would compel us to ask why the
child wasn t wearing the proper shoe size and they would answer with chagrin
because it would be due to their parents not being able to buy them a... Show more

outside of their community cares for them. Moreover, the bounty is not the warm and

The Alchemist Reflection Essay
I was taught to strive not because there were any guarantees of success, but because
the act of striving is itself the only way to keep faith with life. This is a quote said by
Madeline Albright, an American politician and diplomat. What Madeleine Albright
means is that when you strive, you are not only have a chance of success, but you are
giving faith and other good qualities to your surroundings. This is a lesson that
Santiago learns throughout his whole journey. In the novel, The Alchemist, by Paulo
Coelho, Santiago learns, When we strive to become better, everything around us
becomes better, too. First, Santiago arrives at a crystal shop and works there to earn
back money he had lost. Next, while Santiago is walking, he a has a vision of a
terrible war. Finally, Santiago strives to turn himself into the wind.
First, when Santiago first arrives at the crystal shop, he spends one year working
hard to earn back his lost money. For instance, as Santiago is finishing his first
year at the shop, the crystal merchant gives his thanks to Santiago: I am proud of
you he said. You brought me a new feeling to my crystal shop (63). As Santiago
continuously works for one year, he is able to earn back his lost money as well as
improve the merchant s shop, providing easier living for the merchant and the
customers. Santiago provides the merchant with an on going line of customers and a
great profit. To add on, the customers are able to feel the luxuries that are bought with
the crystal glasses. But, most importantly, Santiago is able to learn some very
important life lessons that help him throughout the rest of his journey. Ultimately, as
Santiago strives to earn back his stolen money, he is not only improving his life, but
he is a also improving the lives of the merchant and customers.
Nest, while Santiago is taking a stroll, he sees two hawks violently flashing at each
other, giving him a vivid vision of a gruesome war at the oasis. For example, as
Santiago shares his vision with the chieftains, they decide to give Santiago a chance:
Tomorrow, we are going to break the agreement that says no one at the oasis can
carry arms. Throughout the entire day we will be on the lookout for our enemies

Political Power Of The United States
The United States is currently built on an illusion of democracy where everyone
supposedly has an equal opportunity and say in society. The issue arises when
government fails to identify this injustice as a problem because the majority of
officials tend to benefit from increased political power. Economic inequality, the
uneven distribution of wealthin one direction, is the leading cause of poverty in the
United States, and the number of individuals in poverty continue to grow. The
government has neglected its citizens, and it has taken legislative favorability of the
upper class rather than the middle and lower class. In the essay Rent Seeking and
the Making of an Unequal Society , Joseph Stiglitz identifies rent seeking as a means

The main problem being the identification of a corporations as a citizens entitled to
First Amendment rights. The U.S campaign finance system has allowed legalized
bribery that influences politicians in favor of corporate interests.
Political campaigns is a method used by the people to nominate officials that harbor
the interests of the public. The Supreme Court ruling would allow corporations to
bolster any specific candidate in exchange for influence, and eliminate any other
competition, in effect limiting the choices of the bottom 99 percent of the population.
This gives legitimate candidates that harbor public interests an extreme disadvantage,
and it forces him/her to rely on individual donations or concede partially to corporate
interests. As corporate campaign financing continues, corporate politicians slowly
supersede the number of politicians in favor of the people. Through the years
corporations and the wealthy end up doing phenomenally well while the rest of the
nation suffers.
If the politician of corporations succeeds in obtaining a political office they begin to
propose tax cuts on corporate income, the wealthy, and deregulation of industries. As
a result, an already eminent problem becomes worse because tax cuts on the rich
make them even wealthier than they already are. On 2011, Vermont Senator Bernard
Sanders stated that in America
The Victorian Era Exposed In Dracula By Bram Stoker
The Victorian Era is regarded as very impactful time in terms of literature. It
incorporated the elements of Gothic principles such as isolation, fascination of the
past, and decay. All of the listed characteristics appear in the infamous novel Dracula
and play a significant role in how the book is transcribed. But perhaps the most
significant attribute would be the concept of othering or foreigners. In Bram Stokers
Dracula, Stoker provides a thorough perspective in to the British fear of the other. He
utilizes the main character, Dracula, to convey how society portrays foreigners or
immigrants as aggressors. Dracula highlights the British fear of the other and all that
is foreign. He comes from somewhere other than England, Transylvania, to symbolize
his exclusion from society and to represent his status as an immigrant. Dracula also
does not have anything in common with the Transylvanian citizens. They also
express a great deal of superstition about Dracula when Jonathan Harker
arrives. When I asked him if he knew Count Dracula, and could tell me anything of
his castle, both he and his wife crossed themselves, and, saying that they knew
nothing at all, simply refused to speak further (Stoker 7).... Show more content on

Transylvania was mainly inhabited by people who believed in fallacy and illusion.
In comparison, England had a rational way of thinking and often denounced anything
that was considered supernatural. This directly correlates with Dr. Seward s
frustration with Van Helsing. Dr. Seward refuses to believe that Lucy is undead and
assumes that Van Helsing is crazy. Good God, Professor! I said, starting up. Do you
mean to tell me that Lucy was bitten by such a bat, and that such a thing is here in

Causes Of Racial Inequality In America
Racial inequality is one of the acute issues faced by contemporary American society.
In many academic sources, this social issue is discussed by sociologists as a serious
national problem that requires the proper and prompt solutions (Hwang, J. Sampson,
2014; McCarthy, 1991; Williams Sternthal, 2010). It has been found that racerelations
in America have undergone fundamental changes in recent years, so much so that
now the life chances of individual blacks have more to do with their economic class
position than with their day to day encounters with whites (Wilson, 2012, p. 1). In the
United States, the enduring racial inequality is caused by the preferential treatment of
whites. In the works of the great sociologist W. E. B. Du... Show more content on

The major causes of the continuous existence of systems of racial inequality in US
society The sociological study of racial inequality in the United States is based on
different approaches. Sociology of race, explored by Du Bois, gives an opportunity
to have a good understanding of the real meaning of race. Du Bois places emphasis
on the concept of race in all of his studies, assuming that it does not refer merely to
physical differences of people. According to Du Bois (1980), the concept of race
should also include deeper spiritual and certain psychical differences. The
sociologist asks, What, after all, am I? Am I an American or am I a Negro? Can I
be both? Or is it my duty to cease to be a Negro as soon as possible and be an
American? (Du Bois, 1980, p. 244). Hence, one of the major causes of the
continuous existence of systems of racial inequality in US society is invalid racial
and cultural assimilation. In addition, the sociologist highlights the role of racial
prejudice in the formation of social interactions. Du Bois (1980) states that racial
prejudice is caused by the friction that can be found between individuals and groups
of individuals. Although racial groups in the United States share common views on

  • 6. The Battle Of Chaplin Hill Analysis The Battle of Chaplin Hill MG Kirby Smith s Confederate Army of Kentucky entered through Rogers Gap and his first task was to face off with his old comrade from West Point Brigade General (BG) George Morgan. The objective was to cut off his supplies back to Lexington, starve out his army, or he would accept a retreat. Feeling confident in his army capabilities, MG Smith detached his 1st Division, by far his largest, 9,000 strong commanded by Carter Stevenson to advance on the Gap, while his reaming force pushed northward to Barbourville and London. Stevenson handled the Gap with ease; little resistance opposed the Confederate advance in Barbourville. MG Smith would set his sights on Lexington, while leaving Stevenson at the

Examples Of Revenge In The Count Of Monte Cristo Michelle Nguyen Mrs. Cooper CP English Honors 2A 14 September 2015 Revenge Has Penalties Samuel Johnson once said, Revenge is an act of passion; vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged. He points out that without passion one will not have one s revenge. Passion is an essential tool to help fuel one s continuous search for revenge to gain justice. If someone inflicts harm upon another, they should expect retribution coming their way. This is what occurs in the adventurous, fictional novel The Count of Monte Cristo written by Alexandre Dumas. He is introduced to Franz and Albert by Signor Pastrini, I suppose you know that the Count of Monte Cristo lives on the same floor as you (Dumas 134). This is when the audience is first introduced to Monte Cristo. • 8. A Rhetorical Analysis Of The Ethics Of Leaks By Jon Marcus Journal article The Ethics of Leaks by Jon Marcus addresses the broad topic of leaks in journalism. Although the journal primarily focuses on political leaks and government information, it provides really good information on the idea behind leaked information as an element that has become a major element of modern journalism. (Marcus, 2017) Even though leaked music is not the same as leaked documents, both are still valuable to journalists. The journal mentions that leaked information should always be verified before being used online. It talks about the mistake some journalists make of rushing to post information too quickly. However, when thinking of this in context of the music leaks, the situations are different. Music leaks do not need... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The case has already been solved and the Rolling Stone never received any legal repercussion for using the links which goes to show what side was given more value. It also says a lot about the philosophical framework that was used to solve the case. Like Lethal mentioned in his Harvard Law Review, utilitarianism was an idea that he linked to copyright laws and it is also a philosophical framework that can be used to explain why the Rolling Stone were allowed to use the links. Utilitarianism is a philosophy that focused on the end result of an action, i.e. the consequences. It bases its ethical theory on maximizing the utility and making sure something is the most useful for the largest amount of people, or by something that has the greater amount of importance. In this case, Rolling Stone was looking out for the masses which are their readers. Many people rely on them essentially for music news as has been mentioned before. Utilitarianism was born from socialism which advocates for social ownership which can mean public or collective ownership by the citizens to create equity. This philosophical ties really well into the case study because Rolling Stone was allowed to use the links so that everyone would have access to the music or at least the opportunity of listening if they so choose to. If Rolling Stone would have been denied the ability to use the links it could be said that the judges would be favoring a more

Practical enough to be convenient, and impractical enough to be fun. Affordable. It could gallop like a horse and a regular guy could afford one. It was the people s icon of American car culture. Was. It s a bitter, lonely word. And at some point, people started connecting it to the Mustang. While Ford executives will point to the sales figures (140,000 last year) as proof that the Mustang has always been a great seller with a strong following, there was, nonetheless, a fading love for the car that has been a part of the American highway landscape for 40 years. To some, therapeutic communication involves the process of verbal interactions between two or more people. This interaction can exchange information, elaborate on a topic, or formulate opinion in a day to day process. Day to day communication, however, does not rely on building and grouping information for a distinctive cause, thus the aim of communication is not focused on personal rapport but through a process where information is exchanged between individuals, (Merriam Webster,2015). Likewise, person centered communication is targeted toward interpersonal contact, the sharing of experience, and a deep understanding of self and other, (Motschnig Nykl, 2014). Person centered communication combines the feelings and thoughts of all involved not the needs and wants of the individual, however, a significant element of person centered care is effective therapeutic communication between care providers and clients, (Schwind,McCay, Metersky, Martin, 2016). To many, communication stands alone and encompasses behaviors for those involved to develop ways to set a more functional personal structure of conveying information. Communication is a complex process of sending and receiving messages. Similarly, therapy alone does not include communication but is an action of doing or treating. By definition therapy is treatment intended to relive or heal a disorder, (Meriam Webster, 2015). Jarrell does not elaborate; he makes it very clear that war is gruesome. However, the literary techniques used in the other four lines of Death of the Ball Turret Gunner give this theme even deeper meaning and make his point so effective. Jarrell criticizes the governmentfor its insensitivity toward the fate if its solders. Jarrell does mention how scared the gunner is, or call out the government for the brutalities and terrors the gunner has witnessed and experienced; he simply states the events that occurred, allowing the reader to make these conclusions for himself. Jarrell uses imagery to convey the gruesome horrors of combat, perplexity to simultaneously establish the gunner s emotional condition, and finally tone to portray the government s perspective of soldiers that die. The imagery Jarrell uses not only conveys the terrifying situation the ball turret gunner is in, it also exhibits the difference between the gunner s previous experiences and his current situation. The first line indicates the ball turret gunner safe. He mentions his mother s sleep (1), meaning the sleep during which he is in her womb. Melodrama, as a film genre, is deeply rooted in the institution of the family and various incarnations and evolved states of the family unit. Familial issues arise more often in science fiction than has been widely acknowledged. The futuristic universe of Dune and all of the action of the film is motivated by inter and intra familial conflicts and resolutions. Science fiction, at times, appears to be merely a scientific or futuristic setting for the same kind of melodrama film that has been made for years. However, according to Westfahl, science fiction reconstructed melodrama in a manner which complicated and undermined its traditional clarity (193). Thus whereas in a melodrama such as The Cobweb, the initial conflict of the narrative is merely left unresolved (but on an optimistic beat), in the science fiction melodrama, the film is ended with a hopelessly compromised happy ending (Westfahl, 203). Such is the case with Dune: as the film closes, rain pours down on the desert planet. The rain is meant to represent a positive miracle and something that is desirable, but the fact that rain would turn the desert sand to mud, potentially drowning and killing the giant worms and thus ending all spice production is ignored. The ending leaves the film on a happy note, but the ending has not resolved the film: it had added more conflict to be resolved. Dune is

I will then analyse how Breaking Bad reflects the different parts that make up narrative structure, including, the three act structure and characterroles. I will then determine what is different about Breaking Bad and what parts of it do not conform to conventional narrative structure. This can be misinterpreted as saying Nine lies, capsized. Using every woman in line. I think another reason for mishearing Johnson s lyrics is simply the way he sings. Brian Johnson has a unique voice and does not sing clearly. So, you can read the lyrics yourself, then listen to the song and hear something completely different. Brian Johnson is from Northeast England, known as Tyneside. The people who live there are infamously known for their accent, which is called a Geordie accent. This accent is typically associated with the working class people of the region, but until the 80 s was referred to anyone in Northeast England. So, the fact that there is already a dialectal difference, from Great Britain to the United States, plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics. Plus, Johnson s accent plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics as well. My dad is an outdoorsman, he likes to fish, hunt, trap, you name it he does it. What I mean by that is; it has the capabilities to surround the viewer with its imagery and play with the emotions. Paintings are particulary effective in doing this through the use of color tones and temperature . For example; El Greco used a lot of blue and green throughout his body of work. The outcome is that the subject matter comes off as ghostly and perhaps a little alien. This is in high contrast to Georgia O Keeffe s desert paintings, which utilise reds, yellows, and browns to create a warm and appealing landscape. Both Velazquez s Old Woman and Rembrandt s Prodigal Son are bathed in (or painted in) golden yellow tones. While both are wearing clothes of differing colors, each pigment is mixed with a little yellow, white, or light brown to give warmth to the figure. This helps them to contrast to the very dark background. I like how Rembrandt has figures in the background that are almost indiscernable. By being part of the opposing (darker) tonal group, we as viewers are shown that they are not the most important part of the portrait; that the son and father are. Velazquez, however, chooses to have all elements of interest in the lighter tones in his painting, leaving the back as a dark void of mystery. Van Gogh is probably one of the most interesting painters concerning tonality. His purposeful usage of one color in a body of work is a strong reference to emotion (particularly in his portraits). His expressive brush work swirls the blues, and slight yellow and green, around his face. Even his skin has a bluish hue. These elements describe a somber or sorrowful state of mind. Its as almost if the troubles around him are seeping into his skin (like the blue). That being said, tonality is both the friend of the artist and the art lover. It is a wonderful story

In many academic sources, this social issue is discussed by sociologists as a serious national problem that requires the proper and prompt solutions (Hwang, J. According to Du Bois (1980), the concept of race should also include deeper spiritual and certain psychical differences. The sociologist asks, What, after all, am I? Am I an American or am I a Negro? Can I be both? Or is it my duty to cease to be a Negro as soon as possible and be an American? (Du Bois, 1980, p. 244). Hence, one of the major causes of the continuous existence of systems of racial inequality in US society is invalid racial and cultural assimilation. The case speaks about a project wherein McCaskey was able to get project critical information just 3 4 days before the final presentation and hence I feel the best alternative for McCaskey would be to best utilize the week available at hand in gaining additional information. In doing so, she can first of all begin with interviewing Devon but not to gain proprietary information about the target company but utilize him as a professional consultant who could assist them in researching upon the latest manufacturing technologies used in computer chips manufacturing and the associated operating costs. Devon had recently helped a European company in setting up a manufacturing plant and seemed extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about the semiconductor industry. The discussion can be focused to revolve around the key trends and technologies affecting the semiconductor industry. Interviewing Devon with direct questions to seek proprietary information about the target company would compromise McCaskey s business values and also possibly tarnish her name in the consulting industry. Devon had been extremely supportive and informative in the first meeting but as a good business professional without giving away any proprietary information about any company and hence could have taken legal action against IAD once he realized the intentions of McCaskey.
