was 47%. In 1950 there were only 83 cities worldwide with populations over 1

number of systems and planners generally have failed to read the Urban Progression

and 570 nm. Whereas with deoxyhemoglobin we only observed one range peak at
540 nm. When we should have expected two peak range at 565 nm and 570 nm.

NaSH, in which might have yielded two peaks at the expected wavelength. The
time we allowed NaSH could have been another factor, for it might have needed a

what so ever, for the oxyhemoglobin we obtained might have been defective from
its original container. It might have possibly been naturally deoxygenated by other

it might explain the lower reading of absorbance and the one peak we observed
from our data. One interesting observation we observed was that even though
oxygenated hemoglobin did yield the higher absorption overall. Deoxygenated
hemoglobin appears to yield a higher absorbance at the far ends of our wavelength

I am excited to let you know that I have been selected again to serve as a summer
intern with Go Tell Ministries. Go Tell is an evangelical ministry for teens from
sixth through twelfth grades. I was led last summer to serve, and know God has
called me back there this summer. Before my internship last summer, I had been a
camper at Go Tell for two years. After being an intern with Go Tell I have seen God
work in many ways through student s lives, intern s lives, and the lives of those
living in Nicaraguan villages. Last summer I was on the administrative team helping

Symbolic Interaction Perspective There are several sociological perspectives
including functionalism, conflict, social exchange, and sociological imagination.
The one that will be talked about within this paper is called symbolic interaction.
Symbolic interaction does not focus on social structure like other sociological
perspectives do, symbolic interaction is based on small, mostly person to person
ideas and perspectives on what symbols mean between people in cultures, what
interaction is like, and how interaction between people can impact or reflect upon

Social groups act differently amongst themselves versus as a whole within a societal
environment. Someone within a certain social group may feel importance, power
and control. Within the subgroups, individuals define themselves and their place in
society. They sometimes hope to influence others to partake in their society and
their norms. Symbolic interaction theory describes the family as a unit of
interacting personalities and focuses attention on the way people interact through
symbols. One example of this theory is gang members. Gang members act as a
family in their own society and there are certain words, gestures, rules and roles that
they abide to in this man made society. Some of the norms that are in this created
society might be understood when a person steps out into regular society, because we
have different norms and roles. When someone steps into our society, they might feel
discomfort, have no sense of self, or may even turn to violence because they are
dysfunctional because they have been immersed in their society for so long and

common in there sub culture, other members will relate or understand the meaning of

In this essay I express how the melting of the polar ice caps in the North Pole is
affecting the survival of habitats of organisms around the world. The common
misconception is that only polar bears are suffering from global warming. Because
of rapid climate change in multiple areas around the globe, many organisms are
unable to live in their normal habitat. They are unable to adapt to these new
conditions as fast as they are changing. There are many effects of global warmingthat

Dehumanization of Jewish People during the Holocaust Imagine being treated like
cattle living one s life inside a fence, starved, killed for no reason. Would one hang
on to their humanity, or would they let go of their hope, their compassion, their faith?
From 1939 to 1945, the Nazi German military systematically kidnapped, tortured and
killed millions of Jews in their twisted effort to racially purify Germany. This
genocide has come to be known as the Holocaust. During the Holocaust, millions of
Jews were mercilessly beaten, sadistically experimented upon, and killed for pleasure.
Through these three ways, the Jewish people were treated as subhuman; through
these three ways, the Jewish people began to believe it themselves.
Jewish people were subjected to terrible beatings, powerless at the hands of the
German soldiers. Evidence of this can be found in Night, Elie Wiesel s memoir of his
experience as a Jewish captive of Nazi Germany. When his father asks to use a
bathroom, Elie claims the Kapo slapped [his] father with such force that he fell
down and then crawled back to his place on all fours (Wiesel 39). Obviously, such
force exhibited by this Kapo was in humane and uncalled for; these acts, and this
attitude of violence and condescension taken by the German Kapos, contributed to
