This proposal outlines a small fashion photography magazine called PRINTISDEAD. The primary audience would be females aged 18-28, both heterosexual and homosexual, who are ambitious and creative with an interest in art, design, and the fashion industry. The magazine would have a theme for each issue, with the first issue focusing on "art". It would include a double page spread, two articles, two photo collections, and advertisements. Evaluation of the work would involve ongoing reflection against initial plans and research to ensure all aspects are completed by the deadline. A schedule is provided outlining tasks over 10 weeks, including audience research, production experiments, a cover shoot, and final evaluation.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Working Title: PRINTISDEAD
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
Primary Audience: female, age range 18-28, aimed towards heterosexual and homosexual
as sexuality in the fashion industry is alwaysembraced. ambitious creative minds either in
the industry or have a passion for art and design. My audience is very social, the context in
my magazine will create discussions on creative concepts and fashions. They fits within
the aspirers and succeeders on the psychographics as my age range starts from young
students starting off in the world of work in the fashion industry to older femaleswho have
worked themselves up in the industry and gained some success. my ads will advertise
more high-end brands and rather than high-street brands therefore my audience will fit to
more middle/upper class due to the affordability of what I've advertising. Plus my magazine
will cost between £5-9 and therefore the affordability of the actual magazine effects the
class.
Secondary Audience: 29+, females with a passion for fashion, design and art. Lower/middle
class with a psychographic of explorers. My secondary audience are those individual who
don’t necessary work within any industries that relate to my magazine but enjoy and
appreciate creative concepts that are visually pleasing. They read my magazine out of their
own enjoyment not to gain anything other than their own satisfaction.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc. Use the
Audience Classifications PowerPoint on Blackboard to help you develop this section.
Why would your project appeal to this person? Discuss each audience element in relation to
content (why would your product appeal to the age group? Why would your product appeal to the
gender? Etc.)
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Earlier in the year after completing the print rotation I was inspired to expand from my idea
and create a printed edition of a fashion photography magazine. I also found a interest with
photography and therefore I wanted to show and incorporate new knowledge and skill in a
big way. I want a career in print and therefore software such as photoshop and InDesign are
software I want to continue to use to learn more knowledge of them both and therefore I
chose to create a magazine where id use both software's for the editing section.
Review your progress throughout the year- what skills and knowledge have you acquired?
How has the subjects you have studied this year informed your choice for this project?
What have you studied and how will it have a direct impact upon your project?
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I want to create a small fashion photography magazine with a double page spread, 2
articles, 2 photo collection and some advertisements. I want to give my magazine a theme,
as if it’s a published magazine that has a different theme for each issue, I chose to feature
'art' and my issue, due to the cross overs of fashion and art and how they work together
nicely. The art issue will be applied to the front cover and the double age spread with the
rest of the content primary being on fashion and fashion photography. I want to create
professional looking high-end advertisements to incorporate between my articles,
collections and double page spread.
What is the concept for your project and what are you going to make?
What research will you need to conduct and how will it help you make your project/

Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
To make sure I stay on track with time management, I will keep reflecting back to my initial
plans, research and my schedule to make sure my work is staying the right direction. I'll
complete all planned aspects of my magazine first before adding extras to make sure I have
a finished product for the deadline.
How do you plan to evaluate the work? Reference conducting on-going evaluation and your final
self-reflection, analysing your work and its outcomes.
