Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
From my audience research I have found out my audience is mainly male teenagers aged
between 16-19, this means I will try to make my product more modern and creatively unique to
appeal to this type of audience whilst also appealing to females. My product is also aimed at all
social statuses as my audience’s social status doesn’t impact my product as its easily accessible
to everyone. I also plan on targeting my product to all psychographics as my product will be
designed to appeal to all psychographics. I intend for my project to appeal to all types of audiences
by being very neutral just creative and experimental, my product doesn’t have a narrative or any
other themes that could appeal to one certain type of audience over another.
My product is aimed at an audience of males aged between 25-34 years old who have an average
income of £0-£30k and have achieved a university educational level,
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Throughout the year I have gained many skills and knowledge that I will apply to my FMP, I have
gained lots of knowledge and skills in programmes such as Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and
Adobe After Effect. The subjects I have studied this year have helped inform my choice on this
project by allowing me to find my strengths and weaknesses, these subjects have also helped me
tune my skills in the programmes I intend to use. I have studied film, print and video games this
year which all three of these topics have helped me narrow down and filter what my preferred
subjects and strengths are.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept for my project is to create a visually creative and unique project, I want to push my
boundaries and make my work very experimental. My project isn’t a narrative based production as
it mainly focuses on making a visually entertaining product for the audience to watch. I plan on
using many different experimental shots and editing techniques to achieve this. I will need to
conduct research on existing products and see what styles of music videos are saturated and how
I can make my product stand out, I will also make production experiments to help me strengthen
my skills in certain programmes and to help me find effects and styles I can implement into my
work. I will also need to find styles of music videos and video types which I can take inspiration
from or develop when producing my FMP, I’ll also need to obtain research on my audience and the
preferred music video styles they like to help me produce a product which will appeal to them. I will
also look at video artists existing work and see how they have developed their work to be unique
and what ideas I could build from.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan on evaluating my work by taking constant screenshots throughout the production of my FMP
so I can reflect on my work and evaluate my strengths and weaknesses which will help me
improve eon my future work. I will also compare my work to other existing products and get
audience feedback.
