This document is a proposal for a student's graphic design project to create a minimalist fashion magazine. The proposal outlines the rationale, concept, target audience, research plan, and production schedule for the project. The student aims to create a clean, visually appealing magazine focused on fashion for female readers aged 15-24. Over 9 weeks, the student will conduct research on existing magazines, survey their target audience, and produce content including photos, sketches, and text for inclusion in the printed magazine. Progress and outcomes will be evaluated weekly and in a final report.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

A fashion magazine
Main area of activity:
I will being working on Graphic design
Rationale:
Throughout the year of doing print and making magazines I can look back at them and see what I
could improve on and considerate in my new project. I tend to only do fashion magazines as that’s
what I like to make and talk about as that’s what I’m interested but I have done different types of
fashion like neon looks or really girly fashion so now I’m wanting to do a minimalistic looks I’ve
learnt that inside the magazine and just writing an interview is kind of boring so I’m wanting to do
more inside like sketches of fashion and add more images to make t look more eye catching and
interesting to read. I will use theses skills by looking back at my old work and see what went well to
include in my new magazine.
Project Concept:
The concept for my product is that I’m wanting to do a minimalistic fashion magazine so it basically
looking fresh and clean not a lot is happening but is still descriptive and will still people attentions.
I’m wanting to have a model on the front of the magazine with a pattern behind her with the title at
the top big and bold but elegant as I’m going for the minimal look. Then inside on the double page
spread I would like to do something really plain but still having something on there so its not
boring, I want everything to be eye catching but not overpowering too much. Then have sketches
and patterns with some writing about the sketches and a bit about modelling so there’s writing and
images so there’s a bit of both. The research I will have to conduct are going to be from the
internet and the ideas I have thought off already as that will make my research easier and will
make me think of more ideas a lot better by looking at existing product and seeing what made their
target audience like their product what made them want to buy it. This will help me a lot as I can
see what will help me proceed in making my product the best it can be by seeing what existing
products and normal research about magazines will make my product stand out to my target
audience. The type of research I will have to conduct is an overall on what I’m wanting to do so
when it comes to actually creating my product I know how to start it and where to go to start it. This
will help me a lot with my project because I won’t be missing time, which is very important for this
project.
Audience:
My target audience will be mainly targeted at females; the reasoning to this is because I feel that
most females like fashion. They like to take time when getting ready and what they want to wear
so that is why I would like to target my audience to females as they will be attracted to my
magazine about fashion. The age for my audience that will be interested in my work will be
teenagers aged (15-24) as that’s the most popular age I know this because I go onto Instagram
which is a well known app where you can post pictures of yourself or what you are interested in
and there is one about fashion and when I look at them they’re mostly teenagers up to young
adults who care about hat they look like so basing my magazine around them will help me attract
that area.

Week Tasks to be Completed: Specific Tasks
1 Initial Ideas and Proposal Initial idea
Get ideas that will help me start.
Ideas that I alreadyknow I want to.
Collectimages for mood board;make sure they’re
obvious to others and myself on what I want to
happen.
Explain why I chose theses colours and theme of
magazine.
Proposal
Make sure I come up with a name for product.
Create an audience partto see who will be interested
in my work and who I’m targeting it at.
For rationale will talk abouthow all my projects have
influenced me to do my final project.
For the project conceptI will talk aboutwhat I wantto
create.
Then talk abouthow I’m going to evaluate my work.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
- The way I’m going to evaluate my work is by doing that weekly so I have a fresh mind on what I
did rather then doing it all at the end and forgetting what I wrote for my initial plans and research. It
also means I know what ill have to improve on and what I’m doing well in. I’m wanting to get
different reviews on my work from different people in the age group I have chosen which is 15-24
year olds to get their opinion on fashion instead of it just being mine.

Then schedule, plan projectby week to get myself
updated.
2 Research Existing products
- Get images fromGoogle (add to bibliography of the images I

magazine readers demographics for example ‘Elle
Media Kit 2015’ and ‘Vogue-Audience’.
- Get prooffrom screenshotting the images offthe
website ofthe audience rates,the mostcommon
gender that looks at that specific magazine etc.
Primary Research
- Will think of questions to ask my target audience
- Ask a couple of people the same question to see what
I could include in my magazine
PracticalResearch
- For the experimentwill take pictures of my friend
- See ideas from YouTube and follow a tutorial
Bibliography
- I will add everything I have added to my PowerPoint
that I got off the Internet like the photos for the existing
productslides and ifI get anything for my experiment.
3 Research ? Not sure what to add in this on?
4 Pre-production & Planning Pre production
Research some good fonts for the cover and inside the

they go well with my magazine theme.
Style sheet:look at layouts of magazines.
Add sketches thatI would like to do for the double
page spread.
