The Use Of Therapeutic Nanoparticles As Drug Delivery...
Nanotechnology is an expanding research field that involves the engineering of functional systems at
the molecular level and is capable of transforming the view of some pharmaceutical companies in the
foreseeable future. This review article discusses the current treatment techniques on nanoparticles as
carrier systems for the delivery of anticancer drug molecules. A plethora of nanoparticle drug delivery
formulations have been tested for their target specificity. The drug delivery system of nanoparticles is
designed in such a way that they are independent of their environments and selective at a biological
site. Some key features of drug delivery systems include parameters such as molecular weight, pH,
particulate size, ionic strength and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Advantages in nanoparticle drug delivery include improved pharmacokinetics, reduced side effects
and longer circulation half lives.1 In addition, nanoparticles may be able to achieve improved delivery
of sparingly water soluble compounds by delivering a small particle size to increase the total surface
area of the drugs allowing faster dissolution in the blood stream. These benefits have made therapeutic
nanoparticles a promising candidate to replace conventional chemotherapeutic protocol, eliminating
toxic agents and dose limiting side effects which pose a threat to healthy tissues. The purpose of this
review article on nanoparticles is to show the promise of delivering a range of molecules to desired
sites in the body to treat cancer. In addition, it highlights numerous areas of opportunity where
nanotechnology could enable innovative classes of therapeutics.

Research Paper
Have you ever wondered how banquets from the Elizabethan Era are similar and different from today
s era? Everyday life in the Elizabethan Era was amazing; however, banquets and inventions were the
same as how we live today. This paper will explain the different events and similarities and differences
from now and the Elizabethan Era .
In the Elizabethan Era there were many big feasts and festivals. Some feasts were for the queen and
many other royals .These banquets and feast were very different from today. The average family in the
21st century eats one meal; however in the Elizabethan Era people ate five different course meals at

In Elizabethan Era their audiences in their theater were filled like some of our movie theaters today.
Their performances were mostly given in the afternoon. Except in this century people mostly go to
movies at night time. Their movies would last two or three hours just like today s theater.
At some of these theater shows in the Elizabethan Era there were many different artist. Queen
Elizabeth even made up some of the arts herself. Some of the artist that painted portraits of Queen
Elizabeth was Hans Holbein, and Nicholas Hillard. Hillard painted a mini portrait of Queen Elizabeth
in 1952. Hillard painted most of his portraits from Henry s courtiers .Most of these paintings were
brought before Queen Elizabeth at these banquets and feasts that were held. These two artists got their
ideas from the European Renaissance.
In the painting that Hillard painted in 1572, he painted Queen Elizabeth in a piece of clothing they
called a ruff. The Elizabethan Era clothing style is something you wouldn t see anyone wearing in the
21st century. In the 2000s people wore jeans and shirts and casual jackets. In the Elizabethan Era
women wore gowns, corsets, and ruffs. Men wore doublets, breeches, and ruffs as

Oral Communication In Health And Social Care
Oral communication can also be one form of communication that is effective in health and social care
settings. However, as healthcare professionals provides services for clients, they tend to speak to them
continuously to ensure that communication is effective when providing services for those utilizing
health and social care provisions. For example, if a client is supposed to undergo major surgery, the
healthcare professional will speak to the client orally to make sure that the client is aware of his or her

another advantage of oral communication, with the assistance of varieties in the tone, pitch and power
of voice, the speaker (service provider and service user) can pass on shades of importance. This
element likewise adds to the viability of oral correspondence. Easiness is also another advantage of
this form of communication. It is so natural strategy for communication. It needs little readiness to
communicate something specific. No need of pens, pencils and other composition gear s which are
required in composed communication. The disadvantages of these forms of communications is that, it

Similarities Between Freak The Mighty And Freak The Mighty
Freak the Mighty and Killers of the Dream are two very different novels one being fiction and the
latter being nonfiction but they share a common ground by depicting the struggles of certain
marginalized groups. Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick tells the story of Max, a self proclaimed
butthead , and Kevin, a boy with Morquio Syndrome. On the other hand, Killers of the Dream by
Lillian Smith focuses on why and how the white South treated black people during the late 1800s and
early 1900s. While reading these two novels, the reader gets a sense of how these specific
marginalized groups responded to the prejudice that alienates them from society. Both novels show
examples of the disenfranchised creating their own supportive ... Show more content on

One example is the lady insurrectionists of the South, specifically the white women, who spoke out
against sexism and some discrimination of black people. The chapter titled The Women states, They
[the women] said calmly that they were not afraid of being raped... they did not need the chivalry of a
lynching to protect them and did not want it. Not only that, they continued, but they would personally
do everything in their power to keep any Negro [sic] from being lynched... (145). Furthermore, these
lady insurrectionists continued to progress, such as going against southern tradition, creating an
Association of Southern Women for the prevention of Lynching (146), and breaking bread with fellow
men of other color (147). Both the white women and the women of color, despite their major
differences and resentment, decided that in order to move forward in social justice, they would first
have to eat meals together and come together in order to work together. Unfortunately, there are two
sides to every coin. The poor whites of the South may have built a community among themselves, but
unlike the communities built in Freak the Mighty and the lady insurrectionists and black women, they
did not reach out to help other prejudiced groups. The South s poor whites were not as disadvantaged
as the previously mentioned groups, for they were fed their privileges by the rich white Southern man.

Impacts Of Tourism On Tourism
Introduction
Tourism is one of the largest industries in the world, but can easily be affected by several issues
ranging from economic and political issues to safety and security concerns. Health issues are closely
related to safety concerns, which can have a major negative impact on tourism. A current health issue
that is affecting the tourism industry in the US, Caribbean, and Latin American countries is the Zika
virus. The Zika virus is spread by the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquitos. It can be spread
from a pregnant woman to her unborn fetus, which can result in microcephaly, along with other birth
defects. Zika can also be contracted by having sex with an infected partner or by a blood transfusion.
Currently, there is no treatment or vaccine to prevent being infected with the virus. According to the
CDC, the best prevention method is to do everything possible to prevent mosquito bites.
Current Impacts of Zika on Tourism The Zika virus has already shown a decrease in tourism in
Florida, and also in Caribbean and Latin American countries. In South Beach, Florida, which is a Zika
zone , there are many business owners who are worried about future economic fallout. The rise in
confirmed cases of Zika has resulted in a higher percentage of concerned travelers. Local business
owners have reported guests calling and cancelling hotel reservations (Luscombe, 2016). Caribbean
and Latin American countries have reported some decrease in percentage of travelers who visit

Descriptive Essay On Fantabulous Restaurant
Fantabulous Restaurants,
It was my first time ever at Ichiban, a Japanese Steakhouse restaurant. The hostess sat my family and
me down in front of a grill where someone was cooking. I ordered my food, and poof, a large flame
exploded above the grill and a huge amount of heat flew by me. The loud sizzling of my food on the
grill which constructed a delicious blend of different foods for my family and me to consume. The
next second I saw the chef scoop up my food and flip it unimaginably high in the sky and somehow
catch it on his spatula, and serve it up tight in front of me with unbelievable technique. I loved this
restaurant and this gave a prime example of what a good restaurant consists of. The restaurants Weber
Grill, and Miller s Pub have impeccable food. This is the marginalist factor in what makes a good
restaurant. The mouth watering options of each restaurant make me feel famished every time I think
about them. They have the best steak, burgers, and ribs, around the city of Chicago. Each meal makes
any other meal, from any other restaurant seems like a disgrace, in comparison. Why go to a restaurant
that has worse food? There s no logical reason to do so. The best restaurant of them all is clearly
Buffalo Wild Wings. Their Chicken wings are extremely savoring. Buffalo Wild Wings, has the best
bar food which includes Chicken Wings, Burgers, and Nachos. Furthermore one of the most decisive
qualities of a restaurant is the taste of their food.

Use Of Suspense In The Abandoned Farmhouse
Text Connection Essay Watch out! screamed Maggie. Suddenly the road took a sharp turn, and a huge
oak tree loomed in my headlights (Shusterman 39). When Neal Shusterman uses suspense it s usually
in a way that would probably end badly. He loves to try and hook the reader with suspense, so then the
readers would want to keep reading that same book. As evidence in Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman and
The Abandoned Farmhouse by Ted Kooser, suspense can be effectively created through the use of
imagery. Neal Shusterman effectively uses imagery to create suspense in his novel, Full Tilt. All at
once the train swung around an outside curve, its riders screaming with joy, completely unaware of
my idiot brother directly in their path (Shusterman 8). This quote from Full Tilt is an example of
imagery because, it is showing how Quinn is on the track of the roller coaster, and the coaster was
probably going to hit Quinn. This quote creates suspense by showing how Blake s brother could ve
gotten hit or killed if he hadn t grabbed him off the tracks, and that leaves the readers thinking, what s
going to happen. I could see the very top of a Ferris wheel rising above the fog, churning the moonlit
mist like a riverboat paddle (Shusterman 40). This quote shows the method of imagery by giving a
deeply descriptive sentence about what the sky looks like. This quote creates suspense because, right
before this quote in the book it says things about how horrid the carnival was. The way

Subjectivism Definition Essay
Infallibility Simple subjectivism has a problem that brings about infallibility. They make moral
statements infallible, in only talking about our own attitudes. However, we are not infallible about our
moral claims in life, but we do make mistakes in our lives as well. Subjectivism claims to say that the
truth of the moral judgements is reliant on the subjective state of mind of a particular person brings
about that any given person is infallible in their moral judgment. It just seems that, as long as a
straightforward person reports one s subjective state of mind, that person is in fact, making a moral
judgment, which cannot be fabricated. (Sophilos 2012).

Is abortion morally wrong these days? Some people feel that it is, while other people feel very
strongly that it is not. People have argued about this issue for years, talking about a wide variety of
facts and arguments. Sometimes people go both ways, but they are using to stick to their facts and
beliefs about abortion. I believe that it is fair to say that there will never be an agreement for abortion
in the future ahead. Another example is pet cloning, the cloning of an animal. Some people accuse pet
cloning supporters of encouraging soon to be pet cloning customers to deceptively expect that their
new pets will be indistinguishable from their old pets. Protectors of pet cloning argue that pet cloning
does not contribute to pet homelessness of the animals. The animals involved in the pet cloning are
treated compassionately, and it makes people happy and there is a request for it. Pet cloning
contributes to scientific, veterinary, and medical understanding, and it will support efforts to preserve

Tuberculosis ( Tb ) Is Caused By Mycobacterium Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which is an acid fast bacterium. M.
tuberculosis uses the respiratory tract as the principal portal of entry. Tuberculosis is spread from
person to person through microscopic droplets released into the air. This can happen when someone
that has the active form of tuberculosis in the lungs which has not been treated coughs, speaks,
sneezes, spits, laughs, or sings. The majority of active cases result from reactivation of old dormant
infections. Although TB is contagious, it s not that easy to catch.
You re much more likely to get tuberculosis from someone you live with or work with rather than
from a stranger.
There are two TB related conditions that exist which are the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

TB can lead to spinal pain and joint destruction, meningitis, impair the liver and kidney s waste
filtration functions, cause blood in the urine, and can impair the heart s ability to pump blood.
M. tuberculosis enters the respiratory tract where it travels to the lungs deep into the alveoli and is
engulfed by macrophages. One of the major features of M. tuberculosis is its capacity to block the
acidification of the phagosome and consequently to disable phagosome lysosome fusion in phagocytic
cells. After time, the tubercles can change to a cheese like consistency called caseous lesions. When
caseous lesions calcify they are called Ghon complexes which show up on X ray s. Tubercles can
sometimes liquefy and form air filled tuberculosis cavities which allows the bacteria to spread. This
spreading of the bacteria can affect many parts of body like the bladder, bones, brain, joints, kidneys,
lymph nodes, spine, and reproductive organs. Cell mediated immunity then develops and alerts T
cells.
There are two kinds of tests that are used to conclude if a person has been infected with
TB bacteria. These tests are the tuberculin skin test (Mantoux test) and TB blood tests. A positive
TB skin test or TB blood test only tells that a person has been infected with TB bacteria.

LSD an the Sixties Generation
Is it acceptable for one individual or a group of individuals to come together and fight for a common
cause? Or are they just seen as young people who are too high on drugs who do not know what is
actually going on in the world today? Throughout the 1960 s there was a new generation emerging, a
generation that demanded change and fought for this change when it did not happen. Even though
there was an influence of drugs on this young generation it did not mean they were any less capable to
stand up and fight for what they believed in. Many of these young individuals had these revolutionary
and spiritual thoughts while they were on mind altering drugs. They believed that they one day could
change the world they lived in. Many people associate the 1960 s with drug use and assume it was just
a hedonistic search for personal happiness. Given the larger context, with so many social movements
and challenges to the status quo floating around, could it have been more than that?
Within the 1960 s a new form of drug was created and was said to be an essential pharmaceutical that
should be in every doctor s bag. This drug was called lysergic acid diethylamide, but is more
commonly know as LSD. Albert Hofmann, as Swiss chemist, created this new drug in hopes that he
might have found a profitable analeptic that could cure migraines. However, this was not the case.
Hofmann decided to dose himself with the drug to see if it would help subdue headaches. He quickly
discovered that this new

Tea was declared the National Drink of England in 1784. The eighteenth century saw the
transformation of tea as an everyday necessity for the poor and working class of the British society. To
meet the domestic demand at home, the British East India Company imported great volumes of tea
from China. The tea import increased from an estimated 64 tons in 1711 to 6800 tons in 1791. Even
heavy import tax could not deter an increasingly expanding domestic market for the Chinese tea. As
tea drinking had become obsession with the British society, consumption of tea replaced home brewed
beer, gin, milk and traditional infusions of indigenous plants. This great transformation in the

will give reasons for why this is the case. After my presentation, I will take a look at some possible
criticisms of my arguments and then answer those criticisms. Then, I will present my conclusions.
In Element 2, I will contend that people for whatever reason choose to lie about things in order to
persuade others into thinking that the truth is on their side. Lying takes a group of actions or words
that are clearly false to the perpetrator to try to bait someone into thinking that it is truthful. When
deceptions are thought to be lies, it can be a very eerie situation because the person that was lied to did
not get complete or enough adequate information of what was told. Yes, what someone said may have
been truthful, but not all of the information was being told. The person receiving the information is
left without additional pieces to the story although he or she does not know this, which makes the
person assume that what you said was the end all be all to the situation. These situations can likely
equate to being a lie because of the information that was omitted. Once the person finds out that pieces
of information was left out or incomplete, they will feel like they were lied to. Because the rest of the
information or story was not fulfilled, the person can also be

Exploring Medical Asepsis
Asepsis is the state of being free from disease causing contaminants (such as bacteria, viruses, fungi,
and parasites) or, preventing contact with microorganisms. The term asepsis often refers to those
practices used to promote or induce asepsis in an operative field in surgery or medicine to prevent
infection. Asepsis is a term that is used, medically, and surgically. Medically asepsis is being
concerned with eliminating the spread of microorganisms through facility practices. In my own words,
that means using all safety precautions, to insure, that viruses, bacteria s, and other microorganism are
not present. An example of medical asepsis would be things such as the flu, mumps, rabies, and other
contagious infections. Medical asepsis should always be practiced, because it helps the patient fight a
current infection and prevent its spread, prevents the patient from being re infected by the same

It began as a whispering in the air. The day had been beautiful with the sky painted in clear light blue.
Time passed by as darkness arose and the detached pieces of clouds made their towards me. Through

We all view things in a different way which is what makes us all so unique. I would consider my
values and beliefs as an essential ingredient to succeed in life. I have also come to believe that
consistency is crucial. If you want to achieve something in life, you have to stay determined and have
a will to succeed. Not only that, but once you ve acquired what you ve wanted, you must learn to

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian Essay
Nicolás Juárez
Each funeral was a funeral for all of us : Notions of Race, Identity and Mortality in Sherman Alexie s
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian The American Indian occupies a unique place in the
White American imaginary. Indians, one is told, are cordial, wise, poor in the humble poverty sort of
way, brown, there assist whites with either mystic knowledge or humorous ignorance. Figures such as
Squanto, Tonto and Disney s Pocahontas along with a large smattering of Westerns and cartoonish
depictions have created this image of the Native American an image which rarely translates into the
present day. In contrast to this, Sherman Alexie s novel The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time
Indian is a Native American coming of age story centered around the first person point of view of the
Native protagonist Arnold Junior Spirit, Jr. and his dual life on the Spokane Indian Reservation and his
time off the reservation at an all white public school in the town of Reardan, Washington. The novel
revolves around themes like race, identity formation and mortality and details life on Indian
reservations as it attempts to give a realistic account of contemporary Native American life, each
which shape the novel in unique ways. As the novel explores how race operates between whites and
Indians, it displays the way that race shapes Arnold s life as a mixed Indian (half white, half Indian).
Early in the novel, Arnold, describes his experience with the dentist

An Assortment of Memories, a Myriad of Histories
American society has traditionally been referred to as a melting pot, welcoming people of all races,
religions, and heritages to enjoy the freedom that only America could provide. That was not always
the case, as incidents such as the internment of Japanese Americans at Manzanar and the Lewis and
Clark journey along the Columbia River exhibited American racial intolerance and demonstrated the
inherent racism of the Manifest Destiny an ideal upon which this nation was founded. Today,
government agencies such as the National Park Service (NPS) aim to repair the United States negative
reputation by creating national historic sites, which serve as either a celebration of American history
or an apologetic reminder of events that can never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is a major reason why the National Park Service essentially contradicts itself and fails in its goals
to create a unified history for all Americans. The treatment of memory at the Manzanar historical site
specifically shows that the way in which the National Park Service treats historical sites containing
foreign heritage will never be able to create a single, shared history for all Americans. One source of
tension derivative of this project is the grossly generic incorporation of specific stories within
Manzanar in its conversion from purely a site of tragic memory to a site of National memory. The
production of this national memory tends to absorb the meaning of individual and group histories,
especially when that group represents an ethnic minority (Hayashi 55). This absorption ignores
specific stories of Japanese immigrant experience at the site, creating a universally incorrect generic
representation of the experience and painting an incomplete picture of the events that occurred there.
To paint an incomplete picture of a historical site is to contest the memories of the ethnic minorities
who were there. When asked about this limited representation of Japanese immigrant history
represented at the site, Jerry Rogers, Associate Director of Cultural Resources for the National Park
Service, stated

In an ordinary murder case, prosecutors have to prove not only that a person was killed, but that the
person charged with the crime intended for someone to die. In a depraved heart murder case,
prosecutors must prove instead that the suspect knowingly did something that was likely to kill, and
that he showed extreme indifference to the possible harm. Gacy would strangle his victims with a
rope, but tried to play it off as erotic a position, that he didn t know that the rope around the victim s

be putting someone s life at risk. Gacy, just like Mary Maloney, manipulated people as a way to try to

Exploring Options For Moving The Peace Process
Allow us to add our congratulations to all those from around the world who admire your work on the
peace process and celebrate your selection as this year s Nobel peace laureate. It is richly deserved,
and we admire your strong gesture of donating the award proceeds.
We know, however, that you and Colombia s leadership are grappling with the surprising and bitterly
disappointing results of the 2 October plebiscite. As you explore options for moving the peace process
forward, it is an important moment to take stock of what happened in that election, assess why
Colombians voted the way they did (or did not vote at all), learn how to show voters you heard them,
and develop strategies that could help you build necessary public support for whatever revised
agreement may emerge.
We appreciate the opportunity to submit a proposal to conduct research and analysis that can help you
sort through the difficult challenges that lie ahead. We have worked with other transformational
leaders like Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, and Ehud Barak and we know that one way bold leaders
rise to tough challenges is by gaining a deep grasp of their public s mood. We can help you obtain the
insights you need now.

As a form of direct democracy, initiative and referendum was a way to give the power back to the

usually a petition signed by a number of voters to bring about a public vote and opinion on a certain

which is when the proposed law is enacted.

Effects Of Alcohol Abuse On Children
Alcohol abuse and alcoholism can affect all aspects of a person s life. Even though it is legal for
anybody at least age twenty one and over, alcohol is commonly abused among adults. When people
think about alcohol abuse, they usually only focus on the one person who is drinking in excess, but
what if that person has a family or is a parent? How does alcoholism affect their children or loved
ones? The majority of people would suggest that binge drinking only mainly affects the one person
doing it, they do not realize that it affects their children and families as a whole. In general, children

It is staggering that child abuse happens more frequently when alcohol abuse is present. That can
create an even more toxic environment for the child, which could lead to many problems for him or

experience child abuse and neglect repetitively have been shown to experience poorer behavioral,
educational and mental health outcomes . That very hazardous environment is what children of
alcoholic parents are exposed to on a daily basis, breaking them down physically, socially, and
emotionally. Alcohol abuse with adults can have an even deeper effect on one s family and children
that might not be apparent at first. Debra Wood states that alcoholism with one adult can increase the
chance of the rest of his or her s family some day becoming an alcoholic. Wood also states that
genetics, social pressure, and problem behaviors learned from family or friends can lead to somebody
going down the path of alcohol abuse. Even though this seems like a fairly lopsided debate, there are
multiple factors that lead one to believe that getting over alcoholism can be a pretty easy fix.

Private Prisons Are The Operation Of A Prison
The need of private detainment facilities has immediately created all through numerous years. Private
jails are the operation of a jail by a privately owned business under contract with a nearby, state, or
potentially central government, frequently as a revenue driven business. With the gigantic
development inside the prison masses coming to fruition because of the War on Drugs and extended
usage of confinement, correctional facility clog and expanding costs ended up being logically dubious
for neighborhood, state, and focal governments. With this expanding criminal equity framework,
private business interests saw an open entryway for improvement, and thusly, private part nearness in

Synopsis Of The Novel Train On Pakistan By Khushwant...
The well known novel Train to Pakistan initiates study on theme of partition. This story opens the
phase of political hatred, violence and sectarianism in a brilliant and realistic way. Related to those
decisive or fateful days, which were brought by the British Raj followed by destruction, death and
deracination for the north of the subcontinent; Khushwant Singh refers to the fact that India might
have gained independence then, but the price they paid for it was Partition . The strength and the
power of unity were deliberately divided between the two nations. It depicts the pitiful tale of
individuals and communities suffered in the revolution of Partition. Tran to Pakistan illustrates the
agony suffered on both sides of the political boundaries India and Pakistan after the partition.
In general, partition uprooted the whole country and it is described as one of the deadliest experience
the natives ever had of leaving their belongings behind and adapting the idea of new land, which was
not theirs. The harrowing and spine chilling events of 1947 had shaken the faith of the people in the
innate human beings. It had driven them into the state of wonder over what man has made of man. To
Khushwant Singh, this was a period of great disillusionment and crisis of values, a distressing and
disintegrating period of his life. The belief he had cherished all his life was shattered. Giving strength
to his inner struggle and agony, he says: I had believed in the innate goodness

Waiting for Superman by Davis Guggenheim is a documentary released in 2010 that promotes the
educational welfare of America s children in public school systems that are severely broken in many
ways. Just under two hours, Guggenheim relates many factual information and shines light on
education.
The film starts by introducing the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) act which progresses into describing
the many faults of the educational system. Throughout the documentary, the film shows personal
stories such as Daisy, Francisco, Geoffrey Canada, and Michelle Rhee. Daisy is a 5th grader who is
already writing into college admission offices. That statistics in Daisy s ... Show more content on

For Daisy to be successful, and on the right path, she wants to attend KIPP LA Prep school, and Daisy
only has a 14% chance of getting in. Francisco is a first grader in the Bronx, already attending a
failing school. Anthony wishes to attend the Harlem Success Academy. Anthony s chance of getting
into his school of choice is only 5%. In the documentary, people such as Geoffrey Canada, and
Michele Rhee, tell and show the issues facing America s children today in schools worldwide. Canada,
president of the Harlem Children s Zone describes his journey as an educator. Canada s idea was to
create charter schools. The goals of the Charter schools would give children along with their parents
more options within the public school system, in hopes to increase academic performances inside the
classroom. Rhee, former controversial superintendent of Washington, DC, is Chancellor of public
schools.

Pseudo-Behcet s Disease
Authors reported a case of tuberculous lymphadenitis with EN like lesions and genital ulceration. In
addition, they reviewed infectious disease cases with BD like symptoms. While the manuscript are
well written, but some problems prevent an acceptance. My major comments are as follows. 1) In
introduction, you say These conditions are called BD like syndrome secondary to infection (page 3,
5th line). Please quote a reference. I do not know the term BD like syndrome . Is it an accepted term
generally? If you made this term, you show so. Most reports regarding such cases used Pseudo Behcet
s disease or BD like symptoms. 2) You say Conjunctivitis was observed in her left eye (page 3, 17th
line). However, you also say The present case is

The Lynching Of Lynching, By Ida B. Wells Barnett
Ida B. Wells Barnett: The Lynching of Lynching
During the latter 19th and early 20th centuries racism and racial segregation were considerable
problems. Mob violence, including lynchings were responsible for the deaths of thousands of black
men, women and children, often for crimes they had no part in or which were not even committed. Ida
B. Wells Barnett was born into slavery by James and Elizabeth Wells during the Civil War. She
attended Rust College, which was partly founded by her father in Mississippi. After Wells parents died
of yellow fever, she attained a teaching position at a local school by lying about her age. After some
time teaching she moved to Memphis with two of her sisters, where she acquired another teaching
position and continued her schooling at Fisk University. While her professional life was moderately
successful, her personal life was dismal, however, it is the very qualities that problematize her
personal relationships... that will impel her to undertake... a courageous crusade against lynching
(DeCosta Willis). Being a freed black woman in the south, Wells had firsthand knowledge of the
segregation and racial tension of the time. This knowledge and her experiences gave her insights about
the South that were crucial in her successful crusade against lynching and segregation.
Wells experiences living and writing in Memphis paved the way for her later, and more influential
time writing for the New York Age. Wells became active in the fight against

William Blake s The Lamb Essay
The Lamb William Blake
Summary
The poem begins with the question, quot;Little Lamb, who made thee? quot; The speaker, a child, asks
the lamb about its origins: how it came into being, how it acquired its particular manner of feeding, its
quot;clothing quot; of wool, its quot;tender voice. quot; In the next stanza, the speaker attempts a
riddling answer to his own question: the lamb was made by one who quot;calls himself a Lamb, quot;
one who resembles in his gentleness both the child and the lamb. The poem ends with the child
bestowing a blessing on the lamb.
Form
quot; The Lamb quot; has two stanzas, each containing five rhymed couplets. Repetition in the first
and last couplet of each stanza makes these lines into a refrain, ... Show more content on

The answer is presented as a puzzle or riddle, and even though it is an easy one child s play this also
contributes to an underlying sense of ironic knowingness or artifice in the poem. The child s answer,
however, reveals his confidence in his simple Christian faith and his innocent acceptance of its
teachings.
The lamb of course symbolizes Jesus. The traditional image of Jesus as a lamb underscores the
Christian values of gentleness, meekness, and peace. The image of the child is also associated with
Jesus: in the Gospel, Jesus displays a special solicitude for children, and the Bible s depiction of Jesus
in his childhood shows him as guileless and vulnerable. These are also the characteristics from which
the child speaker approaches the ideas of nature and of God. This poem, like many of the Songs of
Innocence, accepts what Blake saw as the more positive aspects of conventional Christian belief. But
it does not provide a completely adequate doctrine, because it fails to account for the presence of
suffering and evil in the world. The pendant (or companion) poem to this one, found in the Songs of
Experience, is quot; The Tyger quot;; taken together, the two poems give a perspective on religion that
includes the good and clear as well as the terrible and inscrutable. These poems complement each
other to produce a fuller account

Importance Of Proofs Of Teaching Mathematical Proofs
For many math students around the world, proofs are dreaded; they are seen as pointless memorization
of obvious ideas. These are most student s beliefs because they have never truly been taught or
experienced the true purposes of proofs. Zaslavsky, Nickerson, Stylianides, Kidron, and Winicki
Landman (2012) write to discuss the importance of teaching mathematical proofs in school. They
continue on to express reasons why students need proofs and the multiple ways in which teachers can
facilitate the learning and importance of proofs to their students. Zaslavsky et al. (2012) cite numerous
reasons for the importance of proofs, but the most prominent reasons include strengthening student s
ability to communicate mathematical knowledge, to instill problem solving skills and methods, and
lastly, to fulfill human intellectual needs. Each of these reasons have been supported by research, and
also come with challenges and concerns. The most basic reason Zaslavsky et al. (2012) cite as to why
proofs should be taught in school is because doing so can increase and strengthen student s abilities to
communicate mathematical knowledge. Most students are more than capable of applying formulas and
solving the problems presented to them in classes with a little practice. A majority of these students,
however, have no clue as to why the methods they are using work, or if they will work with any set of
numbers they are presented (Yopp, 2009). Proof researcher David Yopp (2009) has observed

When Neal Shusterman uses suspense it s usually in a way that would probably end badly. He loves to try and hook the reader with suspense, so then the readers would want to keep reading that same book. As evidence in Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman and The Abandoned Farmhouse by Ted Kooser, suspense can be effectively created through the use of imagery. Neal Shusterman effectively uses imagery to create suspense in his novel, Full Tilt. All at once the train swung around an outside curve, its riders screaming with joy, completely unaware of my idiot brother directly in their path (Shusterman 8). This quote from Full Tilt is an example of imagery because, it is showing how Quinn is on the track of the roller coaster, and the coaster was probably going to hit Quinn. This quote creates suspense by showing how Blake s brother could ve gotten hit or killed if he hadn t grabbed him off the tracks, and that leaves the readers thinking, what s going to happen. I could see the very top of a Ferris wheel rising above the fog, churning the moonlit mist like a riverboat paddle (Shusterman 40). An Assortment of Memories, a Myriad of Histories American society has traditionally been referred to as a melting pot, welcoming people of all races, religions, and heritages to enjoy the freedom that only America could provide. That was not always the case, as incidents such as the internment of Japanese Americans at Manzanar and the Lewis and Clark journey along the Columbia River exhibited American racial intolerance and demonstrated the inherent racism of the Manifest Destiny an ideal upon which this nation was founded. Today, government agencies such as the National Park Service (NPS) aim to repair the United States negative reputation by creating national historic sites, which serve as either a celebration of American history or an apologetic reminder of events that can never ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a major reason why the National Park Service essentially contradicts itself and fails in its goals to create a unified history for all Americans. The treatment of memory at the Manzanar historical site specifically shows that the way in which the National Park Service treats historical sites containing foreign heritage will never be able to create a single, shared history for all Americans. One source of tension derivative of this project is the grossly generic incorporation of specific stories within Manzanar in its conversion from purely a site of tragic memory to a site of National memory. The production of this national memory tends to absorb the meaning of individual and group histories, especially when that group represents an ethnic minority (Hayashi 55). This absorption ignores specific stories of Japanese immigrant experience at the site, creating a universally incorrect generic representation of the experience and painting an incomplete picture of the events that occurred there. To paint an incomplete picture of a historical site is to contest the memories of the ethnic minorities who were there. Mob violence, including lynchings were responsible for the deaths of thousands of black men, women and children, often for crimes they had no part in or which were not even committed. Ida B. Wells Barnett was born into slavery by James and Elizabeth Wells during the Civil War. She attended Rust College, which was partly founded by her father in Mississippi. After Wells parents died of yellow fever, she attained a teaching position at a local school by lying about her age. After some time teaching she moved to Memphis with two of her sisters, where she acquired another teaching position and continued her schooling at Fisk University. While her professional life was moderately successful, her personal life was dismal, however, it is the very qualities that problematize her personal relationships... that will impel her to undertake... a courageous crusade against lynching (DeCosta Willis). Being a freed black woman in the south, Wells had firsthand knowledge of the segregation and racial tension of the time. This knowledge and her experiences gave her insights about the South that were crucial in her successful crusade against lynching and segregation. Wells experiences living and writing in Memphis paved the way for her later, and more influential time writing for the New York Age. Wells became active in the fight against ... • 45. William Blake s The Lamb Essay The Lamb William Blake Summary The poem begins with the question, quot;Little Lamb, who made thee? quot; The speaker, a child, asks the lamb about its origins: how it came into being, how it acquired its particular manner of feeding, its quot;clothing quot; of wool, its quot;tender voice. quot; In the next stanza, the speaker attempts a riddling answer to his own question: the lamb was made by one who quot;calls himself a Lamb, quot; one who resembles in his gentleness both the child and the lamb. The poem ends with the child bestowing a blessing on the lamb. Form quot; The Lamb quot; has two stanzas, each containing five rhymed couplets. Repetition in the first and last couplet of each stanza makes these lines into a refrain, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The answer is presented as a puzzle or riddle, and even though it is an easy one child s play this also contributes to an underlying sense of ironic knowingness or artifice in the poem. The child s answer, however, reveals his confidence in his simple Christian faith and his innocent acceptance of its teachings. The lamb of course symbolizes Jesus. The traditional image of Jesus as a lamb underscores the Christian values of gentleness, meekness, and peace. The image of the child is also associated with Jesus: in the Gospel, Jesus displays a special solicitude for children, and the Bible s depiction of Jesus in his childhood shows him as guileless and vulnerable. These are also the characteristics from which the child speaker approaches the ideas of nature and of God. This poem, like many of the Songs of Innocence, accepts what Blake saw as the more positive aspects of conventional Christian belief. But it does not provide a completely adequate doctrine, because it fails to account for the presence of suffering and evil in the world. The pendant (or companion) poem to this one, found in the Songs of Experience, is quot; The Tyger quot;; taken together, the two poems give a perspective on religion that includes the good and clear as well as the terrible and inscrutable. These poems complement each other to produce a fuller account ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. Importance Of Proofs Of Teaching Mathematical Proofs For many math students around the world, proofs are dreaded; they are seen as pointless memorization of obvious ideas. These are most student s beliefs because they have never truly been taught or experienced the true purposes of proofs. Zaslavsky, Nickerson, Stylianides, Kidron, and Winicki Landman (2012) write to discuss the importance of teaching mathematical proofs in school. They continue on to express reasons why students need proofs and the multiple ways in which teachers can facilitate the learning and importance of proofs to their students. Zaslavsky et al. (2012) cite numerous reasons for the importance of proofs, but the most prominent reasons include strengthening student s ability to communicate mathematical knowledge, to instill problem solving skills and methods, and lastly, to fulfill human intellectual needs. Each of these reasons have been supported by research, and also come with challenges and concerns. The most basic reason Zaslavsky et al. (2012) cite as to why proofs should be taught in school is because doing so can increase and strengthen student s abilities to communicate mathematical knowledge. Most students are more than capable of applying formulas and solving the problems presented to them in classes with a little practice. A majority of these students, however, have no clue as to why the methods they are using work, or if they will work with any set of numbers they are presented (Yopp, 2009). Proof researcher David Yopp (2009) has observed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
