1. Evaluation
I thinkthat I have beenable tocreate a suitable andunderstandingdigipakandalbumposterthat
can be relatedtoa UK punkband. The reasonI feel ithasturnedout okayisbecause of the photosI
have usedwithinmyalbumsdigipak;my imagesconsistof twomalesdressedsloppilyinpriest
outfitssmokingcigarettesdownagraffiti coveredallyway.Ifeel these are good imagestoputon my
digipaktorepresentmygenre of bandas theyshow some mainqualitiesof the punkgenre,these
beingthe controversial andanti-religiousdressingsof mybandmembers,the simple boldfontIused
for myband/albumname (nottoglamorise,itdoesn’treallyconformtothe normsof havinga shout
out eye catchingwaythat a normal albumcover/postermight).
Concerninglegal andethical requirementsmyalbumcoverisa 50/50. I am happywithmylegal
requirementsasIhave all that is needed,barcode,copyrightsignssothatpeople know mywork is
copyrightprotected,albumname/bandname andall the namesformy albumssongs.Howeverthe
ethical side of thingsmaybe a slightdifferent,IpersonallyamokaywithwhatI have done butmy
albumpicturescouldcause controversyandmightcause some offence towardsaChristiangroup.
Althoughitdoesn’t directlyimplyanythingoffensive towardsagroupnor are the picturesto
offensive,butforsome theymaysee itas slandering.
The main strengthswithinmyworkare mainlywhatIhave listedalready.Thatbeingthe good
clarificationof whatgenre myband isby usingphotos,hiddenmessageswithinthe photos,the
blandand simple nature of myalbumcovers,the namesof the songsto go alongwithitand the
whole ideaof anti-establishmentwhichagaingoesverywell withmypunkgenre.If Iwere todo this
againI wouldkeepmyideaandpremise,althoughthe thingsImaychange to improve mywork
wouldbe:whengoingouton a photoshoottake more photossothat I have a widerrange of choice.
Andprobablygathermore people willingtobe inmy bandand photosso that I can have a full sized
bandwithmore to it.
Some skillsIhave learntwhilstdoingthisprojectwouldprobablybe,properanalysisandresearchof
genres,thingswithingenres.Eg.Propscostumesfontsetc,andothermembers/groupsof the genre.
I have alsolearnthowto do reccesand properriskassessmentsandapplytheminthe field.Some
skillsIhave takenfromthisand wouldlike toperhapsdevelopfurtherwouldbe,the properdirecting
of actors andmakingsure theyare where Ineedthem tobe and justgeneral thoroughresearch
before Icontinue tostart on a project.
