2. Who The F**** are the Arctic
Monkeys
Who The F**** are the Arctic Monkeys is one of my favorites
EPs ever and what makes it an EP(Extended Play)
is that it has5 tracks and an 18-minute runtime
putting it withing the 3-6 track and under 30-minute
parameters of an EP.
3. Who Cares By Rex Orange
County
Who Cares By Rex orange county is a new LP that
appears on the new releases page on the
Easy Street website. It is considered a
LP(long Play) because it has 11 tracks and the
parameters for an LP are 11-12 tracks
4. Clerk Questions
• I called Easy street and here's what I found out. They do
consignment through their second brand called Northwest sounds
specifically for local artists and they even have their own section on
their website.
• When I asked how often marketing reps come in he got a little sad
and said “ maybe twice a year now”.
• Lastly, the question I asked was about record store day and how
many people usually come, He said about 300-500 people line up
and by the end of the day they probably see 1000 customers.
5. Events
Easy street has In stores multiple times
a week with artists varying in size. Since
It is considered one of the top 10
Record stores in the Country, they have all
sorts of artists come through and
have been hosting some of
the biggest names in music since
1997
6. Exclusives
Easy street actually
already has a tab
on their website
showing all of
the record store
day exclusives
they will receive for
2022 RSD
as well as a page
Showing RSD
exclusives in stock
and from previous
years.
7. Swag
These are some of the stickers the record store sells
as well as a pile of artist stickers like you'd typically
see at any record store
9. Refelction
• If I was a local manager in Seatle and I had an artist I think this is
100 percent the place to do a release and an in-store as well as
whatever else the store is on board to do. I’d also say all record
stores are, Just because a place Is top 10 in the country doesn't
mean that you have to be near a top 10 record store to utilize what a
record store has to offer independent artists. This class so far has
really changed the way I look at physicals and records stores. I know
I will definitely be keeping my eye out for local events at record
stores now.
