2. Jack Lodge (main character)
For the character of Jack I am casting my friend Jack White, he is a great
match for the role as he has the same style as what I want and he can
also act quite well making him good for the lead role. Jack is also
someone I wanted due to his physique, he is a standard looking guy but
also someone who can seem as though he holds himself, he’s
confident, just as I want my main character to be. Jack has a good
smile, which is very important to this short but then again he can also
switch and have a very good dead pan/sinister look to his emotions,
again an important trait to being my lead role.
Sizes for costumes – For tops and jackets Jack will need a medium sized
fit, for trousers a 38 waist fit and for show a size 8.
I also know that Jack is a reliable person and someone I can depend on
to be available.
3. Lewis
Lewis is the hyper active energetic best friend of the
main character and for this I have casted David
Edmunds. I want David as the actor as David is very
similar to Lewis in respects of energy, this made me
feel that he would be great to play the role of Lewis.
I also chose David because the way David presents
himself, he presents himself as a kind of cheeky
chappy type person who’s quite witty and playful.
This fits perfectly with how I want Lewis to be like.
Sizes for costume – For his tops and jackets David
will have a medium sized fit, trousers will be 30
waist and for shoes he will need size 10.
4. Sam
And for Sam I have casted Jacob Grevatt. Jacob is quite a
quiet cool headed person who can stay calm and be the
sensible one in a group. These qualities would make Jacob
only natural to play Sam as I have made him share a lot of
the same qualities. Jacob also shows his calmness in his
persona and way he presents himself, making the role even
more perfect for him to be casted for.
Sizes for costume – Tops and jackets for Jacob will be a large
fit, his trousers are a 42 waist and his shoe size will be size 9.
For all of my characters I have casted people I know that
share similar traits and familiar behaviours so that the role
seems as natural as can be. The choices I have made I feel
will be successful to my short film.
5. Crew
For my crew I will get my friend group to help me out. All of my friends
share the same interests and have experience with filming equipment,
meaning I know I will have reliable hands on set.
I will have one on lighting to move and set up the correct light positions
for the scenes. One will help with setting the scenes up by moving
objects and setting up rooms to how I want them to be in the film.
Another will help with sound by making sure the scenes are set up for
optimal sound and making sure mics are in correct areas to capture
sounds I need. And lastly I will have someone by me helping me film
and direct actors.
