The Structural-Functional View Of Religion
Religion
Religion is a social institution involving beliefs and practices based on recognizing the sacred.
Religiosity is the importance of religion in a person s life. In scene one, Alicia s father told her to Pray,
and pray hard and God will give you a miracle. God is good and you can always depend on him!
Christianity, the religion in this case, provides purpose and meaning in the sense that praying and
having faith in God is believed to bring forth results. Christians believe that faith is the belief in things
they hope for, things they cannot see. It gives them hope for a brighter future. Emile Durkheim
believes religion is a product of humanity s need to have a sense of social belonging. Alicia took her
father s advice but did not seem to get any results as she continued to struggle with little financial help
from the church and a relative. Subsequently, Karl Marx views on religion, is that persons
rationalization of religion is that the oppressed will be compensated for suffering on earth in the
afterlife. (Ferrante, 2011) The structural functional approach of religion is that it gives meaning and
purpose to the lives of individuals, for example in scene one, Alicia s father proclaimed how good God
is for finally allowing him to be able to marry her mother after twenty three years. In this sense,
religion offers a comforting sense of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In scene two, for example, Bobbett (Pretty girl 2) referred to Alicia as a country bumpkin and told
Anna that she needs to keep it real and socialize with her own kind . This group of seemingly
privileged college students treated Alicia (who was of a lower class) inferiorly and decided that she
did not belong in their group anymore. This segregation of the classes can be seen in everyday life
especially in schools where the rich students form groups and bully the poorer, less fortunate students.

Aeon Phone Calls
Some children eventually stop being told they look a certain way, such as; cute, beautiful, darling, or
whatever else, and it becomes their eyes, their hair, or their unique, one feature that is the envy of the
world. In this it becomes somehow implied that every other feature of theirs not mentioned, were they
put up for auction and all bidders present were given the option to either take em or leave em, there
would be a consensus for all of em to be left, as if this is something to be ashamed of when it s
probably the case for nearly all of us. After all, very few of us would any one person want to look
exactly as we do, and if such was the case, it would be exceedingly lucky that this one person would
be able to afford each of our features ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I doubt my own significance quite often. If not for Aeon s phone calls, I am not sure what importance
I would truly have to her. That conflict is my own, though, and of minor relevance only. Here s the
thing, though; to pick up the phone, I must first determine whether my goings on warrant discussion at
all, because without this preparation I may decide without thinking they don t matter enough to be
discussed, then regrettably second guess my conclusion once the call has ended. It s a thought I
imagine is not a special creation of my mind. I cannot be the first to have asked, Can it really be worth
not saying if the only way to discover its value is by saying it? This is where I m currently at, though,
in the internal struggle of this situation: my biggest fear being interrogation. I adore the idea of
intrigue without speculation. Despite my infatuation with the concept, it s not one I fully understand. I
cannot imagine how it would happen that a person might discover their good news met with a simple
request for more details or a simpler congratulations. There is always a specific question with an
opinion attached. In my experience that s how it has always been, at least, and I ve never been the
absolute most of anything to anyone in my life. I m not one to be called any connotation of special,
but in a way I reckon that s how I d prefer it even if I knew any different. Worth considering, however,

The Life of Queen Elizabeth Ii
The Life of Queen Elizabeth II Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on
April 21, 1926 in London ( Queen Elizabeth II ). Her father was Prince Albert, Duke of York, and her
mother was Elizabeth Bowes Lyon. Elizabeth was never meant to become queen (Smith 6). From the
very start, her life never developed the way it should have. The leadership she shows her, faithfulness,
and her compassion tells her people she cares. The life of Queen Elizabeth II isa true journey of an
amazing Queen (Hardman 14). Elizabeth was very fortunate to enjoy a relatively normal and stable
family life for many years while her parents were just the Duke and Duchess of York ( Queen
Elizabeth II ). At the time of her birth, there was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

dignity. She was Time Magazine s Woman of the Year in 1952 for providing a quiet, well behaved
fairy tale in which the world could believe ( Queen Elizabeth II ). In 1969, she officially made Prince
Charles her successor by granting him the title of Prince of Wales (Marr 75). Approximately two
hundred million people tuned in to see the ceremony. To continue the rule of the Windsor family,
Elizabeth pressured Prince Charles to marry. He finally decided to marry in 1981. The wedding of
Prince Charles to nineteen year old Diana Spencer drew enormous crowds in the streets of London
and millions around the world watched the proceedings on television. Public opinion of the monarchy
was especially strong at that time ( Queen Elizabeth II ). The following year, Elizabeth worried about
her second son Andrew. Prince Andrew served as a helicopter pilot in the British Royal Navy during
the Falklands War of 1982. Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falklands Islands, a clash that
lasted for several weeks. While more than 250 British soldiers died in the conflict, Prince Andrew
returned home safe and well ,much to his mother s relief (Marr 78). The love lives of her children

Celta Assignment 1
Cambridge CELTA assignment: Focus on the learner Part A My student s name is Corrado, he s 42
years old and his L1 is italian. He is an entrepreneur. In fact, he owns a bar where he works with two
friends. However, he doesn t need English at work as I thought. He loves to travel and that s the main
reason for him to learn English: he s been to London many times and he would like to travel to the US
as well and also he likes to organize his own trips so he needs English also to book hotels and flights
online. He s studied English only in school and (he says) with a terrible teacher who gave him no
motivation. When he was travelling, he was always with friends who knew English very well so he
was not led to try to talk himself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the vocabulary he chooses is spelled correctly and most of the times it s appropriate for the
context. Listening: he s very good with gist comprehension, and when he doesn t understand he s able
to ask to repeat or to say something slower. That probably comes from his ability to communicate
effectively and from the habit of travelling. However, again when it comes to specific use of tenses
(such as present continuous used for planned future) he gets lost. Reading: I ve observed him in class
and he seems to not like particularly reading tasks, when he s doing pair work he starts making up
jokes and gets easily distracted. But then when he arrives at the activity after the reading he enjoys it
more and starts concentrate. Generally speaking with Corrado we have to consider that he s an
elementary student and he makes many mistakes because he tries to use complicated structures for his
level such as present perfect and relative clauses. I think the best thing about Corrado is that he s very
enthusiastic and he s a natural leader in the group so when he likes an activity (which most of the
times he does exept maybe for reading) he s able to draw the whole class. That s why I think me and
my colleagues tend to choose him as our volounteer for demontrations, because he s not afraid of
making a fool of himself and on the contrary he s happy to laugh

Essay On The Iron Age
The Iron Age According to Toler (2012), now, in the twelfth century BCE, humans enter a new era of
history, shaped by the first alphabet, the new idea of democracy, and a new metal that gives the era its
Iron Age. Smelting iron will allow ordinary men to plow more fields, make new tools, and take arms
against the military elite of mighty empires . (p. 49). The Iron Age paved the way for mankind; the
transformation of landscapes, transformation in the way mankind thought, it aided in forging new
connections, warfare and various discoveries and advances that came over time.

iron and bronze the invention of the crossbow helped to transform the Chinese warfare, which also

Mitochondria In The Cytoplasm Of Eukaryotic
Mitochondria are organelles found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells and play a crucial role in the
respiration of the cell (Bandelt et al, 2006). Mitochondria are thought to have originated as free living
bacteria that parasited proto eukaryotic cells~1.5 billion years ago and have since remained in an
endosymbiotic relationship inside eukaryotic cells (Margulis, 1981). The mitochondria preserve
remnants of the original bacterial genome coding for key aspects of the mitochondrial machinery, but
over the course of evolution, most mitochondrial genes have been transferred to the nucleus. The
extent of these nuclear insertions was estimated to represent at least 400,000 base pairs (bp) in the
human genome (Qu, Ma, Li, 2008). The number of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sequencing of entire molecules represents the ultimate approach to acquire information from the
maternally inherited mitochondrial genome. With this approach in the past few years, more and more
data have been obtained for reconstructing the world mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) phylogeny and for
discerning the phylogenetic status of the (sub)continentally specific haplogroups (Qing Peng et al.,
2006). A well reconstructed phylogeny helps to gain unique and valuable insights for elucidating
human evolution and pioneer settlement patterns; for instance, complete mtDNA sequence data
indicate that our ancestors adopted a single route to leave Africa and then migrated rapidly along the
Asian coast (Qing Peng et al., 2006). Group specific genetic variation allows all human mtDNA
genomes to be grouped into distinct clusters called haplogroups based on diagnostic nucleotide
polymorphisms. Each haplogroup can be identified based upon the sum of control and coding region
variation compared to the established Cambridge Reference Sequence (rCRS; Figure 1b) (Kim et al.,
2013). The coding region variation is diagnostic for most haplogroups (Torroni et al.,

Star Wars Archetypes
The archetypes in Lord of the Rings and Star wars that I have chose for this essay are the Loyal
retainer, The task, and light v.s. Dark. I will do a comparison of each movie with the three archetypes.
In Lord of the Rings the loyal retainer is Samwise Gamgee, and in Star Wars the loyal retainers are
Han Solo, C 3PO and R2 D2. The next archetype is the task. The task in Lord of the Rings is for
Frodo to keep the ring safe and to keep others away who are tempted by it, to use it against
Sauron. The task in Star wars was to save the princess and destroy the death star. The last archetype is
light v.s dark. In Lord of the Rings, light v.s. dark appears when the fellowship tries to defeat Sauron.
Light v.s. Dark in Star wars is when Luke and his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dark, light meaning good and dark meaning evil. In The Lord of the Rings, the fellowship represents
the light and Sauron represents the dark. The fellowship represents the light side because they are in
possession of the ring and they have to bring the ring to Mount Doom to destroy it. The ring will bring
on evil and bad situations and if it were to get in the hands of any of the other members of the
fellowship or anyone on Sauron s side then evil would take over and Sauron would be the new leader.
The Dark would of course be Sauron. Sauron is controlling Gollum to try and take possession of the
ring, therefore he is to be around Frodo so that he can take the ring. There is a good and bad side to
Gollum, one side wants to be friends with Frodo and the other side wants to take the ring and be the
holder of the ring and gain the power he used to have. The light and dark in Star wars. The light side is
the Jedi and the dark side is the Sith. Although the Jedi at times can do bad things, but the Sith are
more into killing innocence and holding slaves. The Jedi are usually the ones that protect and free the

Chesapeake Colonies Dbq Analysis
Some may think that both the New England and Chesapeake regions both were alike, since they were
settled by the English. Then they would be wrong. By the 1700 s the two regions were here. The
Jamestown colony was lead here to settle by John Smith, while the Mass Bay colony was settled by
John Cotton and John Winthrop. The Mass Bay colony was inside the New England region while the
Chesapeake area was inside the Jamestown colony. These two regions developed into two unique
societies because of their priorities, climate, growing seasons, and the interactions with the Natives in
their region. They both differ because in New England they mostly settled for the freedom of their
religion, while in Chesapeake they wanted all the profit possible from ... Show more content on

The New England region allowed both men and women, but in Chesapeake they didn t allow women.
In New England they had migrated with families and allowed middle aged men and women to be on
this trip. This had an impact where men and women had different work roles usually men doing the
hunting and fishing while the women and if they had children would have the house keeping job. This
would differ from the Chesapeake region where they brought no families and only had young men
more than fourteen and without females they would not be able to reproduce and have families. This
changed how they jobs would work because then they would not have the gender roles as presented in
New England. Once they reached their settlement they had different scenarios with the natives. In
New England they have less encounters with the Natives there since the disease was present wiped
them out. The Natives were decimated by the disease before the Mayflower reached land which
concluded to less conflict. On the other hand the Natives were not decimated in Chesapeake which
then created more conflicts since it was always wars and conflict for the land and resources within the
land. There was war between them and the Powhatans which was the Powhatan War because of such
land and resources. For this reason is another added on reason to how these regions and settlements

Feminist Theory In Thornton Wilder s Our Town
In Our Town, there are many themes that are present in the play. There are many instances where the
reader or audience can say that while writing the play that Thornton Wilder had in mind that the play
was going to support the feminist movement, or the how the play can be used to show how ridiculous
the marxist theory is, or it can also say that Wilder intended Our Town to be used to support the
mythological theory, both the archetypal characters, in the town drunk, Simon Stimson, and George
and Emily, and archetypal images, such as his references Mrs. Webb s and Mrs. Gibbs gardens, and
how he continued to reference how the moon looks and its position throughout the play. Thornton

because of how big the moon is. In Act III the dead peoples, or spirits, reference the moon as a guiding
light. Another image that Wilder references is Mrs. Webb and Mrs. Gibbs gardens in the introduction
of the town because he wants the town to seem fertile and helpful to the soul, much like how the
garden could be if one was to admire how the colors are. He mentions the sunflowers and how bright
they are and how they add to the overall effect of pleasantness to the town. The play could also
support the archetype characters because one could view Wilder as intending George and Emily to
play the roles as Adam and Eve, because they are the ones who are going to fulfill the ]roles of bearing
the next generation of children for the town to continue to prosper, of course until the end of the play
because they only have one child, the other child that killed Emily in childbirth is not known whether
to live or dies. Also another role that Wilder assigns is to the town drunk, Simon Stimson, as the
outcast or loner because everyone talks about him but does not really talk to him or acknowledge him,

Fredrick Douglass
Frederick Douglass tells his story in the Narrative of the Life of Fredrick Douglass, an American
Slave. He was born as a slave; therefore, he uses his story to illustrate slavery and racism in the
nineteenth century. In addition, Douglass describes his experience as a slave to portray his race, which
has been treated cruelly by many white people. Also, Douglass uses his story as evidence for the
abolishment of slavery. Within his story, there are three key incidents that affect Douglass s life and
the reader s opinion of slavery: when Douglass learns to read and write, when he stands up to his cruel
master, Covey, and finally the controversy surrounding the Christmas holiday. First, Douglass believes
that education is a sharp sword to break the chains of slavery. Also, he figures that white men have the
power to control African Americans as slaves by keeping slaves ignorant: If you teach that nigger

Slaveholders allow their slaves to drink only during the Christmas holiday. Douglass explains the
reason: I believe [the holidays] to be among the most effective means in the hands of the slaveholder
in keeping down the spirit of insurrection (1049). Through this holiday, audiences realize that owners
with education know how to rule slaves and control a slave s mind, by keeping them ignorant, hiding
their identity, and making them lose their interest in freedom. Douglass also sees that the holidays are
part and parcel of the gross fraud, wrong, and inhumanity of slavery (1049). The masters give slaves a
brief time to enjoy Christmas at the end of year, but they will hold their slave for the rest of the year.
He cannot stand for being defrauded by his owner; therefore, he becomes determined to fight for
slaves freedom. By reading this story, readers feel sympathy for slaves and probably they will be anti
slavery, which is one of Douglass purposes in publishing his life

Introduction
Lymphoma is the name of a diverse group of cancers of the lymphatic system, a connecting network
of glands, organs and vessels whose principle cell is the lymphocyte. When lymphoma occurs, cells in
the lymphatic system grow abnormally. They divide too rapidly and grow without any order or
control. Too much tissue is formed and tumors begin to grow. Because there is lymph tissue in many
parts of the body, the cancer cells may involve the liver, spleen, or bone marrow.
There are two general types of lymphoma which are Hodgkin s Lymphoma and Non Hodgkin s

Drug release data for curcumin was fitted into 5 mathematical models and studied to determine the
best mathematical model. The model chosen were:
i. Zero Order Kinetics
The zero order kinetics depends upon the initial concentration of the drug loaded on the nanoparticles
and refers to constant release of drug5,6. Zero order kinetics is represented as:
Qt=Qo+k*t
Qt = amount of drug dissolved in time t, Qo=initial amount of drug, k=zero order kinetics constant
ii. First Order Kinetics
The release of the drug which followed first order kinetics can be expressed by the equation7: log C =
log C0 Kt / 2.303
Co is the initial concentration of drug, k is the first order rate constant, and t is the time
iii. Hixon Crowell Release Kinetics
Hixson and Crowell derived the equation: Q01/3 Qt1/3 = κ*t where Q0 is the initial amount of drug,
Qt is the remaining amount of drug at time t and κ (kappa) constant incorporates surface volume
relation. The equation describes the release from systems where there is a change in surface area and
diameter of particles or tablets9.
iv. Higuchi Release Kinetics
Higuchi drug release kinetics model was proposed Higuchi in 1961 based on a matrix system8. The
matrix model is based on initial drug concentration in the, instantaneous drug

Misreading Scripture With Western Eyes
While reading the novel Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes one might ve found the same
following points and given a summary about the misreading s and hidden points in the bible.
Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes gives the reader well enlightened concepts to the bible that
before might have been obscured, but now have been broken down into terms that people from the
western part of the world can comprehend such as ice bergs. The author uses many a resemblances to
the bible and how other supportive countries of our world see it inversely. The author uses these
metaphors to build an understanding for the reader so that they can make comparisons themselves.
The author uses the metaphor about the iceberg to assemble the book into three different sections. The
tip (being the part of the world that we all see and have come to recognize misconceptions. below the
surface (the part of which only certain liberally and religiously educated beings notice, and the
massive section of the iceberg that is completely unseen to people. In the beginning chapter the author
speaks frequently of moral values that society in the past saw and assumed was correct because they
were the first to know the meaning. Moving forward through out the chapter however the author
explains that since the bible was written throughout a different period and setting, we people of the
future have come to twist and misread these moral values.
The next piece of the novel discusses on how society

Piracy of Digitized Music Essay
The music industry has developed in a series of technological advances, from the development of
vinyl to the digitization of music and the creation of formats such as compact disc (CD), digital
audiotape, and minidisk (Leyshon 2001). Although the digitized music facilitates consumers, it causes
the appearance of piracy and the drop of sales. The subject of piracy has occurred for a certain period.
Since 1920 s, music piracy has appeared into the world with the production of cassette tapes, voice
recorders, and CDs, which brought a new kind of event to court. Moreover, music piracy has become
a worldwide issue due to the development of downloading music via the internet.

The majority of released recordings (approximately 85%),cannot even balance revenues and
expenditures. In addition, 15% profitable recordings are relied on greatly by the recording companies,
who use them to subsidise less profitable types of music to cover the costs of developing new artists,
and to keep their businesses operational, while downloaders often do not focus on that. Finally, the
most direct victims are the creative artists which include musicians, singers, songwriters and
producers, for the royalties and fees have not been earned by themselves. Virtually about 95% of
artists rely on these fees to make a living and their reputations which are discredited by the inferior
quality of pirated copies spreaded to the public.
Therefore, music piracy is destroying both the music industry and anything that relies on the music
industry.
Positive effects
However, music piracy also brings benefits to the music industry. At first, it is a way access to get the
departed music that is no longer to republish. As a result of the way of constructing contracts, the
music record labels are not holden by artists themselves that their new label is not allowed to produce
as the old one, and if the old label decides not to republish anymore or release the songs, the music is
generally dead. Music downloading is the only way for most people to get these dead songs. In the
second place, pirating music

contributed to a dysfunctional corporate culture that became interested only in short term profits to
maximize bonuses. In addition, accounting results were recorded as soon as possible to keep up with
the company s stock price. This practice helped ensure deal makers and executives received large cash
bonuses and stock options.
Enron s auditor firm was accused of applying thoughtless standards in its audits because of a conflict
of interest. The firm was generating a large amount of money for its consulting fees for Enron. The
firm s methods where questioned when it seemed as though the reports were completed only for the
annual fees to be collected. Furthermore, it was also criticized for lack of experience in reviewing the

The Enron board of directors failed to closely analyze market trends, which would have led to better
decisions being made when it came to acquisitions and mergers. Because of this the company found it

The Importance Of Staff Training And Education
As the risk manager, Susan Post, collaborated with Amy Green, the quality assurance director, and it
was discovered from chart reviews over the past three months prior to the incident occurrence that
short staffing and nurses working overtime may have played a crucial role in the incident. In addition,
float nurses were frequently used due to low staffing. Preceding to the incident, Michael Parks, the
clinical nurse specialist, consulted with both Susan Post and Amy Green regarding importance of staff
training and education.

Mandatory Reporting
Every facility is required to document adverse events, which means reporting unexpected/unintended
results that can potentially put the institution at legal risk (Westrick, 2014g). Incidents or adverse
events refer to injuries or potential injuries to a patient. The appropriate report explains the events that
took place without making assumptions throughout any part of the narrative. Yolanda Pinnelas s case
is considered an adverse event for which Jeffrey Chambers should have written an adequate report. An
objective report outlining the facts leading up to the event and the patient s outcome are the foundation
of the report (Westrick, 2014g). Co workers who witness the event should provide written statements
to provide accurate information of the event that took place with a nonbiased perspective.
Doctors and supervisors must be made aware and attend to the unit as soon as possible, which in Ms.
Pinnelas s case, both were summoned and present in the unit when the incident took place. It is
essential that the appropriate documentation specified by the facility is complete to inform risk
management and keep accurate track of these occurrences. Therefore, Jeffrey Chamber, Diana Smith,

Analysis Of Sonnet 130
Poetry is a form of writing in where the author expresses his or her emotions through style and
rhythm. There is no one specific reason why people like poetry. Not only is poetry personal, it can also
be deeply emotional to people, as poems can bring back memories and experiences that have
resonated throughout the reader s life. Love poetry is not only deeply emotional for people, but it s
something most people can relate to as most people will experience some form of love throughout
their life. Easily the most famous poet in history, Shakespeare, had many thoughts on love, and many
of his poems invoke this emotion. Sonnet 130 specifically is thought provoking and much more
relatable than other poems of the 1600 s, and like most of Shakespeare s sonnets, this poem is an
expression of love. This is due to the fact that Shakespeare does not make the woman in the poem out
to be some sort of goddess. In telling his mistress that he loves her, our speaker also has to give us an
idea about what his love is like. He is stating who and what she is, and that at the end of the day, his
love is not only beautiful, but unique, exclusive and rare.
Sonnet 130 was written during the 1600 s. Many poets during this time stylised their lover or whomst
ever they were writing about as divine and perfect in everyway. Sonnet 130 is considered by many to
make a mockery of this. This sonnet compares the speaker s lover to a number of other beauties, and
never in the lover s favor. In the first

The Duchess Figurative Language
Through the use of figurative language, imagery, and symbolism Robert Browning is able to portray
his poem about the Duke in the light he wants. The several literary devices used in figurative language
aid in he conversational flow, while the imagery gives you the sense of what emotion is going at the
time, and symbolism showing the underlying use for the subjects mentioned throughout the poem. The
several literary devices most predominantly used in the poem are assonance and alliteration. For
example, the depth and passion of its earnest glance... is an example of assonance used in the poem as
well as And seemed as they would ask me, if they durst. The reason Browning uses this technique so

To make a clearer depiction of the character of the Duke and his opinion and treatment of his late wife,
Browning effectively made use of Renaissance images. The most apparent symbol used is the portrait
of the late Duchess, painted on the wall by artist Frà Pandolf. The poem only tells the reader that the
painting captures the Duchess bright personality and her love for life a depiction that has distressed
the Duke when her wife was still alive. But the painting itself and how it came to be tells us more
about the Duke s personality. The painting portrayed and captured the duchess in a nice light,
however, the duke chooses who can see it as he stated, none puts by the curtain I have drawn for you,
but I... clearly the duke only wants to show a select few of people how he wants his last duchess to be
remembered. Also, he also mentions a bronze statue of Neptune towards the end of the poem where he
speaks of himself like the god of the sea and as you read further on the reader will notice the duke
likes to present himself as someone in power. The duke turned things into valuable pieces in order to
show he is dominant and powerful, just like how he personified the painting of his late wife and how
he described the bronze

What Is Kip Kinkel School Shooting
Kip Kinkel School Shooter
Philip Kip Kinkel was born on August 30, 1982 in Springfield Oregon(TruTv). Growing up Kip had
an interest in firearms from an early age(PBS). At first his father did not like the idea, but later he
enrolled him into a gun safety course and bought him a .22 caliber Ruger long rifle and eventually a 9
mm Glock handgun when he was 15(PBS). During an interview with Newsweek Kip said that his
psychologist told his father to let Kip have the guns, for it will be a good outlet(PBS). However, the
outlet he eventually used them for was anger and revenge. It all started on May 20, 1998 when Kip
brought a loaded, stolen handgun to school(NYT,Nov11). It was a .32 Beretta pistol loaded with 9
rounds(TruTv). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

clearly shows that he knew what he did was wrong and that he was in full control. Then just like
nothing had happen he laid down put on some music and went to sleep(TruTv). The lack of affect the
killing of his parents had on him shows that he is a true psychopath. The next morning Kip was set on
revenge. He jumped into his Mom s car hiding a 9mm handgun, a .22 caliber automatic rifle, a .22
caliber handgun, a knife, and 1,127 rounds of ammo underneath his trench coat(PBS). When he got 2
blocks away from Thurston High School he parked his Mom s car and casually walked in to the back
of his high school(TruTV). Immediately Kip fired two shots, killing Ben Walker and the other
wounding Ryan Atteberry(PBS). Then Kip entered the cafeteria and fired 48 rounds from his rifle,
wounding 24 students and killing Mikael Nicholauson(PBS). Then Kip fired a total of 50 rounds,
accumulating 37 more hits, and killing two others(TruTv). Finally, when his rifle ran out of
ammunition an already wounded student Jacob Ryker tackled Kip(TruTv). Seeing this happen several
other students jumped in. During the struggle Kip drew the 9mm hand gun, and fired one shot before
he was disarmed, injuring Ryker again as well as another student(TruTv). Thankfully the students
were able to restrain Kip until the police arrived. Even though he was 15, Kip

Corporate Law Firms And Small Private Law Companies
1. A private law firm is a law firm that generates its income mainly from the attorney (and paralegal)
fees paid by clients (Statsky 35). This type of law firm includes the largest percentage of working
paralegals at 70%. A private law firm typically works in general practice, which means that they might
have multiple practice areas. Within the division of private law firms, there are two other subdivisions:
larger private law firms and smaller private law firms. Paralegals in larger private law firms typically
have better benefits and are paid more. They also usually specialize in one area of law, and there is a
likely a career ladder in that firm. On the other hand, the paralegals in smaller private law firms often
have more variety in their work, but they also may have a handful of clerical tasks to complete. While
there is not much of a career ladder, these paralegals tend to have more contact with clients.
Corporations can have in house law departments in which the only client is the corporation itself.
These in house law departments are usually headed by the general counsel, who acts as the chief
attorney. On average, there are about seventeen attorneys and five paralegals per corporate law
department. The paralegals typically have high pay and very good benefits. They do not have many
clerical tasks to complete, and a career ladder for paralegals exists. They tend to have a narrowly
defined role in corporate law departments. In the government, there are three

Tyson Mistake
If we learn any lesson from this fight, it is this; we must be very careful not to repeat the mistake that
Tyson made in preparing for this fight. Tyson underestimated Douglas. He figured that since he had
beaten everyone that had beaten Douglas, he shouldn t even have to break a sweat to defeat him.
Therefore he didn t train properly or prepare for this fight. Often times, we make this same mistake
when dealing with our spiritual enemy. We often underestimate him and because of that we fail to
prepare for the fight. Tyson didn t watch any tapes of Douglas previous fights, so that he could learn
his reach, his stance or his signature moves. His failure to watch the tapes meant he was unable to see
what had worked for others that had won against Douglas. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is the mistake that we make so often as believers. We don t study our spiritual enemy. We trust
too much in our own strength and ability. Just because we are saved, sanctified and filled with the
precious gift of the Holy Ghost, does not mean that we don t need to study our enemy. It does not
mean that we can t learn from the spiritual battles that our brothers and sisters in Christ have won
against him. We must be strategic about our victories. When we go into any spiritual battle we must
remember that God always causes us to triumph! Regardless of the situation or circumstance, we will
always win. Even when we look like we are defeated, we are still victorious. I think Apostle Paul said
it best in 2 Corinthians 4:8 9 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but

Valjean In The Secret Life Of Victor Hugo
People have always viewed others who have made mistakes in the past as lesser beings. Victor Hugo
uses Valjean as an ideal figure to represent mistreatment given by the community for his past
mistakes. When Valjean first arrives at Digne, he enters the Croix de Colbas inn and is forced out
without service because it was known that he was an ex convict. As he is forced out, Valjean, would
have seen the innkeeper of the Croix de Colbas, standing at his doorway with all his guests, and
passers by gathered about him, speaking excitedly, and pointing him out, and from the looks of fear
and distrust was exchanged (10). Valjean being an ex convict is rejected by society without a true
reason. The people of Digne have no trouble pointing out that Valjean is an outcast, a person that is

When all Valjean wanted was to buy food, not to steal or rob but only to buy food, yet he is thrown out
because he is speculated to be dangerous. Not only did the people refuse to serve him but the news

because he was given no option, he was arrested and news articles create lies claiming he was an
extremely dangerous man, a wretch, who is endowed with herculean strength, managed to escape, but,
three or four days afterward, the police retook him,in Paris, just as he was getting into of the small
vehicles, (141). The news conveyed Valjean as menace to society but in reality it was the other way
around. Before Valjean s arrest, he became a great person for the town of Montreuil sur mer creating a
kind community yet all that is overwritten with the lies fed up by the news. The people completely
forget all good in him, caring only for the trouble he caused. Furthermore, when Valjean reveals to

Weathering and Erosion
bub
Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a given time and place, with respect to variables such as
temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure. Weather can be classified as day to day
temperature and precipitation activity, where climiate is average atmospheric conditions over longer
periods of time. Weather occurs from temperature and moisture differences between one place and
another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot. The strong
temperature contrast between polar and tropical air gives rise to the jet stream. Weather systems in the
mid latitudes, such as extratropical cyclones , are caused by instabilities of the jet stream flow.
Because the Earth s axis is tilted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Higher altitudes are cooler than lower altitudes, which is explained by the lapse rate. On local scales,
temperature differences can occur because different surfaces (such as oceans, forests, ice sheets, or
man made objects) have differing physical characteristics such as reflectivity, roughness, or moisture
content.
Surface temperature differences in turn cause pressure differences. A hot surface heats the air above it
and the air expands, lowering the air pressure and its density. The resulting horizontal pressure
gradient accelerates the air from high to low pressure, creating wind, and Earth s rotation then causes
curvature of the flow via the Coriolis effect. The simple systems thus formed can then display
emergent behaviour to produce more complex systems and thus other weather phenomena. Large scale
examples include the Hadley cell while a smaller scale example would be coastal breezes.
The atmosphere is a chaotic system, so small changes to one part of the system can grow to have large
effects on the system as a whole. This makes it difficult to accurately predict weather more than a few
days in advance, though weather forecasters are continually working to extend this limit through the
scientific study of weather, meteorology. It is theoretically impossible to make useful day to day
predictions more than about two weeks ahead, imposing an upper limit to potential for improved
prediction skill.

What Is The Hypothesis Of Second Language Acquisition
Introduction Language acquisition theory (TAKE OFF)
Through the linguistic lenses, Stephen Kristen created an article based on second language acquisition
theories on how humans develop an additional language and/or languages. Several hypotheses that
exist on this topic, but one of them is relevant to how a second language is acquired. The Acquisition
Learning Hypothesis broadly emphasises two different languages can be acquired: 1) acquire the
language, 2) learn the language (Krashen, p. 1). This article states that language acquisition
...subconsciously. While it is happening, we are not aware that it is happening. We think we are having
a conversation, reading a book, watching a movie. Of course, we are, but at the same time, we might
be acquiring language. (Krashen, p. 1). Kristen indicates that acquisition is essentially picking up a
language. And it is. For instance, when someone says, I was in Germany for a bit and I picked up
some German. It means he or she acquired that language. Language is commonly defined as the
ability to communicate in a second language. Kristen states that it is ...a conscious process: When we
are learning, we know we are learning and we are trying to learn... When grammar, rules and
pronunciation are involved, we are talking about learning (Ibid).
There have been differences found in how adults retrieve information in the stages of second language
learning such as how adults are faster to produce language two (L2) words from language

Benjamin Button Archetypes
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is a charming story about a man who
ages in reverse. I will be taking an archetypal approach to this movie; an archetype is a typical
character, an action or a situation that represents such universal patterns of human nature. The Curious
Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald when looked at from an archetypal approach I ve
noticed many patterns, not all are typical. I will be looking at Daisy and how her character traits are
typical, the love story between Benjamin and Daisy, and how Benjamin is not a universal pattern of
human nature. Daisy Fuller, a gorgeous woman who had grown up with Benjamin, is a very typical
character when looked at from an archetypal approach. Daisy s biggest dream was to become a dancer,
she ends up achieving her dream and dancing as a career in Paris, then she ends up back in the United
States after hurting her leg and never being able to dance again. This is a common character for the
fact that many girls want to be a dancer, especially one working in Paris, and it is over played a lot in
movies. For instance, a few movies that have the somewhat alike characters with the same dreams to
this movie are Burlesque directed by Steven Antin, Center Stage: Turn It Up directed by Steven
Jacobson and Ballet Shoes directed by Sandra Goldbacher. The typical character ... Show more

Private Schools Vs Public Schools
Around half millions of students study in private schools, which almost represents the fifth of students
in Saudi Arabia. Although a lot of families prefer to make their children study in private school, that
does not mean they are completely satisfied about the schools quality and their children achievement
(Al Hagbani, 2013). Nevertheless, they still enroll their children in private schools, believing they will
benefit more from studying in private schools than public schools. In addition, some parents believe
that private schools are more flexible, have more educational activities and are more conscientious of
students problems and needs (Al Garieb, 2013). In a study aimed at exploring the reason behind the
penchant towards private schools, Bukhari and Randall (2009), after reviewing literatures about
parents choices, stated that parents tend to choose private schools over public schools when they
realize that their children s needs are not met in public schools. Many studies have been conducted in
the educational field to explore the differences between private and public schools. These studies were
conducted in an attempt to find out which type of school is better. Some of these studies focused on
teaching quality such as a study conducted by McKinnon et al (2013), while others were a qualitative
comparison, such as a study conducted by Iqbal (2012). Since schools can help students create good
study habits, some of the studies compared the study habits between

Compare And Contrast Reptiles And Amphibians
Reptiles and amphibians are two species of animals. They have been around for millions of years
before we were even thrive. Amphibians were some of the first vertebrates to ever walk the Earth.
They evolved from a species of prehistoric fish. Reptiles began to appear million years ago. They
evolved directly from a species of amphibians. In other words, they are closely related and have the
same ancestor. Many amphibians and reptiles are similar, even a number of people may still confuse
several species of amphibians with reptiles and vice versa. For example, a number of people still
mistaken salamanders as reptiles. While salamanders have similar appearance as lizards, a number of
people still unaware that salamanders are not reptiles.
One of the common perceptions regarding reptiles and amphibians are their associations with bodies
of water. Both of these animal families are cold blooded animals; meaning that their body temperature
is the same as air and water around them. Reptiles and amphibians are mainly tropical animals. They
are the inhabitants of lakes, rivers and ponds, although a number of reptiles may be sea and desert

  • 2. The Structural-Functional View Of Religion Religion Religion is a social institution involving beliefs and practices based on recognizing the sacred. Religiosity is the importance of religion in a person s life. In scene one, Alicia s father told her to Pray, and pray hard and God will give you a miracle. God is good and you can always depend on him! Christianity, the religion in this case, provides purpose and meaning in the sense that praying and having faith in God is believed to bring forth results. Christians believe that faith is the belief in things they hope for, things they cannot see. It gives them hope for a brighter future. Emile Durkheim believes religion is a product of humanity s need to have a sense of social belonging. Alicia took her father s advice but did not seem to get any results as she continued to struggle with little financial help from the church and a relative. Subsequently, Karl Marx views on religion, is that persons rationalization of religion is that the oppressed will be compensated for suffering on earth in the afterlife. (Ferrante, 2011) The structural functional approach of religion is that it gives meaning and purpose to the lives of individuals, for example in scene one, Alicia s father proclaimed how good God is for finally allowing him to be able to marry her mother after twenty three years. In this sense, religion offers a comforting sense of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In scene two, for example, Bobbett (Pretty girl 2) referred to Alicia as a country bumpkin and told Anna that she needs to keep it real and socialize with her own kind . This group of seemingly privileged college students treated Alicia (who was of a lower class) inferiorly and decided that she did not belong in their group anymore. This segregation of the classes can be seen in everyday life especially in schools where the rich students form groups and bully the poorer, less fortunate students. Deviance and ... • 3. Aeon Phone Calls Some children eventually stop being told they look a certain way, such as; cute, beautiful, darling, or whatever else, and it becomes their eyes, their hair, or their unique, one feature that is the envy of the world. In this it becomes somehow implied that every other feature of theirs not mentioned, were they put up for auction and all bidders present were given the option to either take em or leave em, there would be a consensus for all of em to be left, as if this is something to be ashamed of when it s probably the case for nearly all of us. After all, very few of us would any one person want to look exactly as we do, and if such was the case, it would be exceedingly lucky that this one person would be able to afford each of our features ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I doubt my own significance quite often. If not for Aeon s phone calls, I am not sure what importance I would truly have to her. That conflict is my own, though, and of minor relevance only. Here s the thing, though; to pick up the phone, I must first determine whether my goings on warrant discussion at all, because without this preparation I may decide without thinking they don t matter enough to be discussed, then regrettably second guess my conclusion once the call has ended. It s a thought I imagine is not a special creation of my mind. I cannot be the first to have asked, Can it really be worth not saying if the only way to discover its value is by saying it? This is where I m currently at, though, in the internal struggle of this situation: my biggest fear being interrogation. I adore the idea of intrigue without speculation. Despite my infatuation with the concept, it s not one I fully understand. I cannot imagine how it would happen that a person might discover their good news met with a simple request for more details or a simpler congratulations. There is always a specific question with an opinion attached. In my experience that s how it has always been, at least, and I ve never been the absolute most of anything to anyone in my life. I m not one to be called any connotation of special, but in a way I reckon that s how I d prefer it even if I knew any different. Worth considering, however, is Aeon s ... • 4. The Life of Queen Elizabeth Ii The Life of Queen Elizabeth II Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21, 1926 in London ( Queen Elizabeth II ). Her father was Prince Albert, Duke of York, and her mother was Elizabeth Bowes Lyon. Elizabeth was never meant to become queen (Smith 6). From the very start, her life never developed the way it should have. The leadership she shows her, faithfulness, and her compassion tells her people she cares. The life of Queen Elizabeth II isa true journey of an amazing Queen (Hardman 14). The duties of Queen were largely ceremonial. Elizabeth has always conducted herself with dignity. She was Time Magazine s Woman of the Year in 1952 for providing a quiet, well behaved fairy tale in which the world could believe ( Queen Elizabeth II ). In 1969, she officially made Prince Charles her successor by granting him the title of Prince of Wales (Marr 75). Approximately two hundred million people tuned in to see the ceremony. To continue the rule of the Windsor family, Elizabeth pressured Prince Charles to marry. He finally decided to marry in 1981. The wedding of Prince Charles to nineteen year old Diana Spencer drew enormous crowds in the streets of London and millions around the world watched the proceedings on television. Public opinion of the monarchy was especially strong at that time ( Queen Elizabeth II ). The following year, Elizabeth worried about her second son Andrew. Prince Andrew served as a helicopter pilot in the British Royal Navy during the Falklands War of 1982. Britain went to war with Argentina over the Falklands Islands, a clash that lasted for several weeks. While more than 250 British soldiers died in the conflict, Prince Andrew returned home safe and well ,much to his mother s relief (Marr 78). The love lives of her children ... • 6. Celta Assignment 1 Cambridge CELTA assignment: Focus on the learner Part A My student s name is Corrado, he s 42 years old and his L1 is italian. He is an entrepreneur. In fact, he owns a bar where he works with two friends. However, he doesn t need English at work as I thought. He loves to travel and that s the main reason for him to learn English: he s been to London many times and he would like to travel to the US as well and also he likes to organize his own trips so he needs English also to book hotels and flights online. He s studied English only in school and (he says) with a terrible teacher who gave him no motivation. When he was travelling, he was always with friends who knew English very well so he was not led to try to talk himself. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the vocabulary he chooses is spelled correctly and most of the times it s appropriate for the context. Listening: he s very good with gist comprehension, and when he doesn t understand he s able to ask to repeat or to say something slower. That probably comes from his ability to communicate effectively and from the habit of travelling. However, again when it comes to specific use of tenses (such as present continuous used for planned future) he gets lost. Reading: I ve observed him in class and he seems to not like particularly reading tasks, when he s doing pair work he starts making up jokes and gets easily distracted. But then when he arrives at the activity after the reading he enjoys it more and starts concentrate. Generally speaking with Corrado we have to consider that he s an elementary student and he makes many mistakes because he tries to use complicated structures for his level such as present perfect and relative clauses. I think the best thing about Corrado is that he s very enthusiastic and he s a natural leader in the group so when he likes an activity (which most of the times he does exept maybe for reading) he s able to draw the whole class. That s why I think me and my colleagues tend to choose him as our volounteer for demontrations, because he s not afraid of making a fool of himself and on the contrary he s happy to laugh ... Essay On The Iron Age The Iron Age According to Toler (2012), now, in the twelfth century BCE, humans enter a new era of history, shaped by the first alphabet, the new idea of democracy, and a new metal that gives the era its Iron Age. Smelting iron will allow ordinary men to plow more fields, make new tools, and take arms against the military elite of mighty empires . (p. 49). The Iron Age paved the way for mankind; the transformation of landscapes, transformation in the way mankind thought, it aided in forging new connections, warfare and various discoveries and advances that came over time. • 8. Mitochondria In The Cytoplasm Of Eukaryotic Mitochondria are organelles found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells and play a crucial role in the respiration of the cell (Bandelt et al, 2006). Mitochondria are thought to have originated as free living bacteria that parasited proto eukaryotic cells~1.5 billion years ago and have since remained in an endosymbiotic relationship inside eukaryotic cells (Margulis, 1981). The mitochondria preserve remnants of the original bacterial genome coding for key aspects of the mitochondrial machinery, but over the course of evolution, most mitochondrial genes have been transferred to the nucleus. The extent of these nuclear insertions was estimated to represent at least 400,000 base pairs (bp) in the human genome (Qu, Ma, Li, 2008). The number of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sequencing of entire molecules represents the ultimate approach to acquire information from the maternally inherited mitochondrial genome. With this approach in the past few years, more and more data have been obtained for reconstructing the world mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) phylogeny and for discerning the phylogenetic status of the (sub)continentally specific haplogroups (Qing Peng et al., 2006). A well reconstructed phylogeny helps to gain unique and valuable insights for elucidating human evolution and pioneer settlement patterns; for instance, complete mtDNA sequence data indicate that our ancestors adopted a single route to leave Africa and then migrated rapidly along the Asian coast (Qing Peng et al., 2006). Group specific genetic variation allows all human mtDNA genomes to be grouped into distinct clusters called haplogroups based on diagnostic nucleotide polymorphisms. Each haplogroup can be identified based upon the sum of control and coding region variation compared to the established Cambridge Reference Sequence (rCRS; Figure 1b) (Kim et al., 2013). The coding region variation is diagnostic for most haplogroups (Torroni et al., ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Star Wars Archetypes The archetypes in Lord of the Rings and Star wars that I have chose for this essay are the Loyal retainer, The task, and light v.s. Dark. I will do a comparison of each movie with the three archetypes. In Lord of the Rings the loyal retainer is Samwise Gamgee, and in Star Wars the loyal retainers are Han Solo, C 3PO and R2 D2. The Mass Bay colony was inside the New England region while the Chesapeake area was inside the Jamestown colony. He was born as a slave; therefore, he uses his story to illustrate slavery and racism in the nineteenth century. In addition, Douglass describes his experience as a slave to portray his race, which has been treated cruelly by many white people. Also, Douglass uses his story as evidence for the abolishment of slavery. Within his story, there are three key incidents that affect Douglass s life and the reader s opinion of slavery: when Douglass learns to read and write, when he stands up to his cruel master, Covey, and finally the controversy surrounding the Christmas holiday. Easily the most famous poet in history, Shakespeare, had many thoughts on love, and many of his poems invoke this emotion. Sonnet 130 specifically is thought provoking and much more relatable than other poems of the 1600 s, and like most of Shakespeare s sonnets, this poem is an expression of love. This is due to the fact that Shakespeare does not make the woman in the poem out to be some sort of goddess. He is stating who and what she is, and that at the end of the day, his love is not only beautiful, but unique, exclusive and rare. Sonnet 130 was written during the 1600 s. However, interest expenses don t have the ability to claim GST as stated before it is classified as input taxed sales and hence will be GST free. e) Sergio purchases investment magazines primarily to assist him in investing however when he is done with it he leaves it in the reception area giving customers something to read. This can be looked from two angles, 1 he is purchasing these magazines to enforce his knowledge and also to alleviate boredom for customers or he is purchasing them for his own private use. • 30. Weathering and Erosion bub Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a given time and place, with respect to variables such as temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure. Weather can be classified as day to day temperature and precipitation activity, where climiate is average atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. Weather occurs from temperature and moisture differences between one place and another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot. The strong temperature contrast between polar and tropical air gives rise to the jet stream. Weather systems in the mid latitudes, such as extratropical cyclones , are caused by instabilities of the jet stream flow. Because the Earth s axis is tilted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Higher altitudes are cooler than lower altitudes, which is explained by the lapse rate. On local scales, temperature differences can occur because different surfaces (such as oceans, forests, ice sheets, or man made objects) have differing physical characteristics such as reflectivity, roughness, or moisture content. Surface temperature differences in turn cause pressure differences. A hot surface heats the air above it and the air expands, lowering the air pressure and its density. The resulting horizontal pressure gradient accelerates the air from high to low pressure, creating wind, and Earth s rotation then causes curvature of the flow via the Coriolis effect. The simple systems thus formed can then display emergent behaviour to produce more complex systems and thus other weather phenomena. Large scale examples include the Hadley cell while a smaller scale example would be coastal breezes. The atmosphere is a chaotic system, so small changes to one part of the system can grow to have large effects on the system as a whole. This makes it difficult to accurately predict weather more than a few days in advance, though weather forecasters are continually working to extend this limit through the scientific study of weather, meteorology. It is theoretically impossible to make useful day to day predictions more than about two weeks ahead, imposing an upper limit to potential for improved prediction skill. ... • 31. What Is The Hypothesis Of Second Language Acquisition Introduction Language acquisition theory (TAKE OFF) Through the linguistic lenses, Stephen Kristen created an article based on second language acquisition theories on how humans develop an additional language and/or languages. Several hypotheses that exist on this topic, but one of them is relevant to how a second language is acquired. The Acquisition Learning Hypothesis broadly emphasises two different languages can be acquired: 1) acquire the language, 2) learn the language (Krashen, p. 1). This article states that language acquisition ...subconsciously. While it is happening, we are not aware that it is happening. We think we are having a conversation, reading a book, watching a movie. Of course, we are, but at the same time, we might be acquiring language. (Krashen, p. 1). Kristen indicates that acquisition is essentially picking up a language. And it is. For instance, when someone says, I was in Germany for a bit and I picked up some German. It means he or she acquired that language. Language is commonly defined as the ability to communicate in a second language. Kristen states that it is ...a conscious process: When we are learning, we know we are learning and we are trying to learn... When grammar, rules and pronunciation are involved, we are talking about learning (Ibid). There have been differences found in how adults retrieve information in the stages of second language learning such as how adults are faster to produce language two (L2) words from language ... • 32. Benjamin Button Archetypes The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is a charming story about a man who ages in reverse. I will be taking an archetypal approach to this movie; an archetype is a typical character, an action or a situation that represents such universal patterns of human nature. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald when looked at from an archetypal approach I ve noticed many patterns, not all are typical. I will be looking at Daisy and how her character traits are typical, the love story between Benjamin and Daisy, and how Benjamin is not a universal pattern of human nature. Daisy Fuller, a gorgeous woman who had grown up with Benjamin, is a very typical character when looked at from an archetypal approach. Daisy s biggest dream was to become a dancer, she ends up achieving her dream and dancing as a career in Paris, then she ends up back in the United States after hurting her leg and never being able to dance again. This is a common character for the fact that many girls want to be a dancer, especially one working in Paris, and it is over played a lot in movies. For instance, a few movies that have the somewhat alike characters with the same dreams to this movie are Burlesque directed by Steven Antin, Center Stage: Turn It Up directed by Steven Jacobson and Ballet Shoes directed by Sandra Goldbacher. The typical character ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scott Fitzgerald is a cute story of how a man who aged in reverse from an old man to a young boy. Looking at this movie from an archetypal approach, it had many typical characters and relationships, but had a good twist to make this movie stand out from other common movies. I have described the common character traits of Daisy, Benjamin and Daisy s love story, and even described how Benjamin was an unusual character. Movies have many typical characters because we are as a species usual in many ways but we also have a special trait that is the true ingredient to a good ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Private Schools Vs Public Schools Around half millions of students study in private schools, which almost represents the fifth of students in Saudi Arabia. Although a lot of families prefer to make their children study in private school, that does not mean they are completely satisfied about the schools quality and their children achievement (Al Hagbani, 2013). Nevertheless, they still enroll their children in private schools, believing they will benefit more from studying in private schools than public schools. In addition, some parents believe that private schools are more flexible, have more educational activities and are more conscientious of students problems and needs (Al Garieb, 2013). In a study aimed at exploring the reason behind the penchant towards private schools, Bukhari and Randall (2009), after reviewing literatures about parents choices, stated that parents tend to choose private schools over public schools when they realize that their children s needs are not met in public schools. Many studies have been conducted in the educational field to explore the differences between private and public schools. These studies were conducted in an attempt to find out which type of school is better. Some of these studies focused on teaching quality such as a study conducted by McKinnon et al (2013), while others were a qualitative comparison, such as a study conducted by Iqbal (2012). Since schools can help students create good study habits, some of the studies compared the study habits between ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Amphibians were some of the first vertebrates to ever walk the Earth. They evolved from a species of prehistoric fish. Reptiles began to appear million years ago. They evolved directly from a species of amphibians. In other words, they are closely related and have the same ancestor. Many amphibians and reptiles are similar, even a number of people may still confuse several species of amphibians with reptiles and vice versa. For example, a number of people still mistaken salamanders as reptiles. While salamanders have similar appearance as lizards, a number of people still unaware that salamanders are not reptiles. One of the common perceptions regarding reptiles and amphibians are their associations with bodies of water. Both of these animal families are cold blooded animals; meaning that their body temperature is the same as air and water around them. Reptiles and amphibians are mainly tropical animals. They are the inhabitants of lakes, rivers and ponds, although a number of reptiles may be sea and desert dwellers as well. Several species of reptiles and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Microsoft Monopoly Issue Essay The Microsoft Monopoly Issue The best position on the Microsoft monopoly problem is one best for the general public, those who are and will be using Intel PC products. This position is in opposition to Microsoft and to support the State and the public. This will consequently give the public better choice, thereby keeping the price of the product down and benefiting the general public. To understand why this position is the best choice two simple questions must be answered. The first is, is Microsoft a monopoly?
