1 – The Bonn Challenge is a global effort to restore 150 million hectares of degraded and deforested
landscapes by 2020. The AFR100 is a direct contribution to the Bonn Challenge and the New York
Declaration on Forests that extends the Bonn Challenge to restore 350 million hectares by 2030.

19. What is Evergreen Agriculture?
A form of more agroecologically intensive
farming that integrates trees into crop and
livestock produc:on systems.
Evergreen farming systems are ‘double- story’
systems that feature both perennial and annual
species (food crops and trees), maintaining a green
cover on the land throughout the year.
