The student learned about the importance of audience research and improving their approach between tasks. For the preliminary task, little audience research was done. For the production, more appropriate questions were asked to understand what the audience wanted. The student also learned about magazine conventions like mastheads, covers, and photo setups. Their skills with Photoshop improved as they learned how to apply effects like drop shadows. Overall, their evaluation skills strengthened as they better identified strengths and weaknesses in their work.
