The final product looked more professional than the preliminary task because the student had a better understanding of industry conventions from their research. Through improved planning, the student was able to finish the final product on time and make minor adjustments, resulting in the best possible outcome compared to the preliminary task.

2. Research and Planning By researching in to similar products this helped me in my production, as I was able to see what my target audience wanted, and what would make them buy the magazine. My final product was overall looked more professional than my prelim task, as I was able to understand the forms and conventions of real media products. Overall my time management was better, as I managed to finish before deadlines, therefore giving me time to make minor adjustments, to make my final product the best it could be. By planning I feel my product looked a lot better than my prelim as I was able to plan out my time and when I would do certain parts of my product, also I was able to plan when I would do my photo shoots rather than just taking pictures for my prelim on the day we were told.
