2. Strength
• I think one strength I had over this coursework
unit was the amount of detail on certain
tasks, for example one of the evaluation
PowerPoint's being 85 slides long. This detail
allowed for careful and concise work to be
carried out and implemented. It especially
helped during the planning as it meant less
was left to chance and meant there was littile
that could go wrong.
3. Strength
• Another personal strength I had on this
coursework was that I didn’t feel ashamed or
embarrassed asking for help or audience
feedback. During the A/S coursework I did find
this a problem, but this year it was not a problem
and I was able to freely ask the questions that I
wanted to know, even just to random people
around college, some of which I did not even
know. This was a strength because it allowed me
to get impartial audience feedback which
resulted in better products.
4. Weakness
• I think a weakness during this coursework was
the lack of creativity during the presentation of
work. The creative presentation of work is on the
marking grid and I don’t think I was as creative as
I could have been. If I was more creative then I
would be meeting the criteria better and would
be more likely to achieve maximum marks. If I
was to redo this unit I would use more creative
tools and would use the technology available to
me in a creative way.
5. Problems Overcome
• There was one problem during the editing of
the music video. Aligning the lip syncing lips
with the music was difficult and proved
problematic to get exactly right. However, this
problem was overcome by simply sticking to it
vigorously until the problem was fully
overcome and the lip syncing was in time or as
in time as the footage or song allowed it to be.
6. Problems Overcome
• Another problem overcame was with the
aforementioned 85 slide PowerPoint. Because
the file was so big it wouldn’t save properly,
but this problem was overcome by copying
and pasting it all into a new PowerPoint and
saving it to my documents instead of a
removable disk which is what I had done
originally. I therefore was able to save it and
this was no longer a problem.
7. Time Management
• I think my time was managed effectively. With
most of the research and planning completed in
under a month, and two weeks on the evaluation
(allowing for 2 questions per week), 2 days for
the blog upload and the other 2 months for clear
production work. This allowed me to spend more
time on the area that carried most marks, and
allowed me more time to edit and re-shoot to try
and get a better, stronger and more professional
looking final product because of this effective and
efficient form of time managemnet.
8. Conclusion
• Overall I think I have personally worked extremely
hard, vigorously and well during the duration of
this coursework, with effective time management
allowing more time to be spent on times that
matter. If I was to re-do this coursework though I
would present the work in a more effective
method and make better use of the media
technologies available to me to get a more
effective and creative media blog to better meet
the marking criteria.
