This document outlines challenges and proposed solutions for the small ruminant value chain in Atsbi, Ethiopia. Key challenges include limited access to livestock feed due to farm and grazing land scarcity, infectious diseases affecting sheep, and poor veterinary services. Proposed solutions focus on sustainable feed strategies, improving veterinary services, community breeding programs, market information access, collective action, market facilities, and capacity building for producers and extension agents. The vision is to create a sustainable, market-oriented sheep production system that improves nutrition and incomes by 2020.
