Chronic Wasting Disease Management Case Study
As stated previously, the accurate and factual information regarding Chronic Wasting Disease is
important to further gain an understanding among the many stakeholders of the degree of risks of
CWD and more so, to gain support for CWD management. The failure to keep Texas Landowners,
hunters and many other groups informed of the CWD with most recent facts could impact how
these individuals see the disease management strategies (CWD Management Plan, 2015).
The approach to tackling this disease has successful has been displayed in many strategies. One
possible attempt that has been established is the Eradication Attempt in which The state of New
York identified CWD in two different captive herds during a routine surveillance that took place...

Likewise, 1,200 deer were collected within the Disease Zone during 2011 winter as well as 2,300
samples from hunters of deer that had been harvested the following fall and no positive result were
identified of CWD (CWD Management Plan, 2015). Another Solution is the Control Attempt where
states like Wyoming, Colorado, Wisconsin, where CWD has been around for several years, would
not want to consider the Eradication Attempt as a course of action. The Control Attempt is to
strictly focused on reducing the migration of free ranging or captive deer also from CWD infected
areas, which could greatly reduce the spread. In the Control Attempt, some states have paired up
with hunters to monitor the prevalence, distribution, and managing of deer and elk population to
meet the requirements of the CWD objectives (CWD Management Plan, 2015). A third solution is
the Outreach Attempt, which has been a well developed and educated plan that is perceived as a
critical component of CWD management to help keep Texas Hunters and the general public well
informed of most factual information about CWD. This attempt to increase the awareness and
implication of this disease by networking with natural resource professionals and strongly
encouraging them to schedule Chronic Wasting Disease presentations with the wildlife, hunting, or

Chotacredit Case Study Essay
Background: For years since the rise of microfinance in the contemporary discourse of development,
Chotacredit, a nationwide Microfinance institution, has been playing a leading role in the XXX
region in providing accessible finance to low income households as a catalyst for employment
creation, poverty reduction, and genderequality. However, in recent practice, Chotacredit has found
that the current loan signing rule which requires co signature by spouse may potentially limit female
participation in the microloan program and program impact. A few valid assumptions have been
made: 1. As currently, a loan contract must be co signed by both husband and wife, and a significant
share of the husbands of our female clients are truck drivers, the... Show more content on

possibly more. In this study, our main interest is to explore the effect of impact variables on

Examples Of Outcasts In Of Mice And Men
Some people are deemed too dangerous so they are shunned and kicked out of society. This now
makes them outcasts. In the book Wolf Children Ame and Yuki are are the outcasts. Society did
not want them because they are wolf children. In Of Mice And Men Lennie was the outcast.
Society did not want him because they thought he was not mentally stable enough to be in this
world. Lennie, Ame, and Yuki are all victims of society. This is because people just don t know
enough about them to know they can be good people.
There are a lot of things that make an outcast ,and one of the main reasons is their danger. To
begin Ame and Yuki would always howl and play. This shows the other people did not understand
they were just kids, the only difference with them is that they were half wolf. This really
intimidated the rest of society.Another thing is, people judge others harshly for the mistakes they
make only because these mistakes could affect or harm them. For example Lennie in Of Mice And
Men killed Curley s wife. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After Lennie killed curley s wife he felt like a monster and he felt so guilty because he had done
something wrong. This shows that lennie regrets what he did and feels bad about it. He s not a bad
person, he just doesn t understand some things. Another example could be when Ame said I hate
wolves, even though he is one. This clearly show that he doesn t like himself because he thinks
he is a monster and people would be scared of him if they knew who he really was. Lastly, when
Lennie got kicked out of his first job because he grabbed a girls skirt. He felt very guilty and
thought he was a horrible person because he caused so much trouble. This shows he doesn t like
himself and that maybe he even wishes to be different. He s not a bad person he just makes bad

Surviving Species Environments
When you think of survival of the fittest, you may be wrong. If you think about it as more of
survival of the best adapted to a species environment. Now this can be used with a few following
examples; a species will not be able to survive if it is the strongest of its kind if the area it lives
in is cold. The specimen with the warm fur coat will outlast the physically strong. Now this can
work the other way as well the specimen with the fur coat may not be able to defend its self from
the predators if it is not the most physically fit specimen. The end result if the speciesdoes not adapt
to the new surroundings it will eventually die out and become extinct, leaving the one specimen
who has now passed on the fur coat to survive in the cold

The Characteristics Of Marriage In The Medieval Era
Marriage In the medieval era is certainly a difficult one to study, as evidence often lies within the
realm of poetry, or a narrative tale. Sometimes one can look into non narrative prose, like written
laws, or contracts, however, these documents do not always provide the entire scope of social
structure. When looking into certain characteristics of marriagein Western Europe, specifically in
the timeframe of ca. 1000 through ca. 1300, there are many characteristics of marriage that one
may find to have a progressive nature. During this time, marriage seems to transcend from
political ideals, to that of a purer construct. We will begin by looking into certain traits of
marriage in Western European medieval times that I believe to be the most important aspects of
marriage, not only for woman, but also for society as a whole. Before I begin, I would like to note
that when I speak of marriage, I m specifically referring to that of Western Europeduring the
timeframe stated above. The process of finding a spouse to marry begins to change dramatically
during this time. While we have strict laws today regarding that of a potential spouse, marrying a
cousin or close relative was that of the norm during medieval times, as many aristocrats wanted to
keep their property and power within their own kin. However, this common practice begins to
change, as Canon law provided rules as to how closely bride and groom could be related. In 1215,
the Fourth Lateran Council prohibited

The time I went to Sakura
Boom! The chef set off a big fire. My mom, my sister, and I were in the hibachi place Sakura. The
chef was setting up the grill. I felt like the happiest person in the world. I have never been to a
place like this before; I was wondering how good the steak was going to be.
When the chef put the mixture of rice, vegetable, and chicken on the hot grill I could hear the
sizzle from when it hit the grill. The chief got an egg and bounced it on his spatula like it was a
bouncy ball then finally he cracked the egg. The egg spilled out its bright yellow yolk. When he
was done cooking the rice he put it into bowls and gave it to us.
The rice tasted like heaven. The chef put shrimp, chicken,

Compare And Contrast Phoenix Jackson And Montresor
Dying to Live:
Comparison of Phoenix Jackson and Montresor Everyone has motives good or bad. Some people
are inspired by love while others are motivated by pure hate. Individuals that are controlled by
love tend to do moral things; they generally brighten people s days and help others. On the
contrary, people who are moved by hate often do not make the best decisions. They make others
feel down about themselves. Personalities are contagious and one person acting by love will make
someone else do the same. This is also the case with hate. Being around a happy person makes one
joyful; being surrounded by hate causes bitterness. Short stories have many examples of characters
that are under these circumstances. In Eudora Weltys A Worn... Show more content on

Montresor vowed revenge because Fortunato makes insults about Montresor s family (525; 1).
Montresor is not just going to make him feel bad; he wants to kill. The hatred inside of
Montresor is the driving force for his need to murder Fortunato. Montresor is also an extremely
manipulative character. He plays his house attendants by telling them strictly not to leave the
house. He states, These orders were sufficient, I well knew, to insure their immediate
disappearance, one and all, as soon as my back was turned (526; 24). This fixes the problems
that would have arisen with any witnesses. He also plays Fortunato in a few different ways. The
strategy he uses the most is inspecting Fortunato s wellbeing. Montresor pleads, Come, we will
go back; your health is precious. You are rich, respected, admired, beloved; you are happy, as
once I was. You are a man to be missed. For me it is no matter. We will go back; you will be ill,
and I cannot be responsible (526; 35). Once Fortunato hears Montresor say all of this about him, he
quickly refuses to turn around. Montresor repeats this tactic a couple more

DSLR camera has many features some of which may sound intimidating at first. The camera
combines a host of optics and digital imaging sensor and single lens reflex camera mechanisms to
capture shots. DSLR camera remain the most popular type of interchangeable lens camera in use
today. The DSLR camera market is dominated by companies such as Canon, Nikon, Sony and
Olympus from Japan as well as manufactures such as Sigma and Leica from Germany. You can use
these features to create highly compelling shoots. The features include custom picture controls,
multiple exposure, flash compensation, back button focus, time lapse and time before sleep feature.
The other features include depth of field preview, Instagram mode and depth of field preview.
Custom picture control
The camera usually applies critical adjustments such as sharpness, contrast and color saturation to
Raw images to make them finer. Indeed if you prefer taking photos in RAW mode, you need not
worry about the settings because it will be amended automatically. If you want to set picture style or
custom picture control, you simply need to go to the menu and change to find custom picture
control settings.
Exposure compensation
Exposure compensation is mostly located around the shutter. The unit allows you to increase or
decrease default meter reading on your camera to account for the brifghtness in the area you are

But just as Ben amp; Jerry s has tried to stay true to its roots after being purchased by Unilever,
Burt s Bees is, by all accounts, still driven by its founding mission: to create natural, Earth friendly
personal care products formulated to help you maximize your well being and that of the world
around you. Only now, thanks to deep pockets and Clorox s distribution machine, it might push the
industry towards all natural even faster.
Brand identity is an important action to branding. It is what the consumers are expected to perceive
a company s product and its brand. With Brand identity, Burt s Bees could distinguish it from other
competitors, and highlight its brand and products characteristic to create and maintain the
competitive advantage.
IV. Recommendation
Burt s Bees is in the growth stage. Together with the market s strong interest in environmental
awareness today, Burt s Bees has a great potential however, it must be accompanied by great
advertisements and not just through social media.
I recommend on a rebranding strategy to increase and strengthen the brand with the long term aim
of expanding the brand within the mass market. I believe that the number one issue for Burt s Bees
is to grow the brand without compromising the product i.e. ingredients. Burt Bee s can still use the
concept of the for the Greater Good but with much better

A Research Field On My Life Career
Research is a very important aspect of any professional field that many students fail to notice. As
far as my understanding, backbone of any professional field consists of two important parts, the
academic part; knowledge and practical aspect, and the research part. The academic part helps
the professionals to apply the knowledge in the practical life, but the research part is the one that
provides all the knowledge and does mostly all the behind the scene work. That is why it would
be preferred for every student in their respective discipline to participate and explore research in
their respective field. This is the reason as to why I want to participate in the research field relating
to my Medicinecareer.
Research is very useful because it helps in expanding previous knowledge and adding new
knowledge for any particular discipline. Not only that, research helps students to get the better
understanding of what they are studying in classes and lectures. It provides student the background
knowledge of the stuff they learn in a classroom. This prepares students to expand their horizon,
think outside the box, critically analyze using the scientific method, and helps students to use their
behind the scene knowledge to experiment and discover new things. Thus research ultimately helps
in the adding new knowledge to the disciple.
My academic goal is to get a bachelor degree in biomedical sciences and biotechnology from the
University of Central Florida and then apply to medical

stories are, The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, Survivor Type by Stephen King, and

stories all develop insanity in different ways, but the characters live there life not knowing of their

insanity in Rainsford by all that aggressive hunting stuff that he does. Rainsford was on a yacht
and fell off of it, he ended up swimming to a rocky shore which was called Ship Trap Island.
This island was all about hunting which basically what Rainsford is, a hunter. Before Rainsford
fell from the yacht he was with his friend name Whitney, saw an island which was the Ship Trap

Whitney were passing the island, Rainsford said, I hold the jaguar guns have come from Prudey

Throughout the part when Rainsford is on the island he saw the general and his name was
Zaroff. Zaroff was those types of general that always wants to win, Zaroff read Rainsford s
hunting book and told him I ve read your book about hunting snow leopards in Tibet, you see (4).

Rainsford escape is to hunt and try to win, when actually Zaroff wants him to lose. As days passed

Tim Burton s Cinematic Style
Angles, and Lights Oh My!
Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory may seem like very different films.
One being about a man with metal blades for hands, the other about a man who owns a chocolate
factory, but in reality the films share many similarities when it comes to cinematic style, due to the
fact Tim Burton directed both. Tim Burton has an unique style, and the ways he shows this style is
not only through the stories he creates, but also the use of lighting, and camera angles he uses in
his films. Edward Scissorhands and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory both have examples of
lighting and camera angles that create the same desired effect across both films and audiences.
Lighting can be broken down into categories, there is low key lighting, high key lighting and also
mid key lighting. In Edward Scissorhand and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, both use low key
lighting to create the mood of suspense, and intrigue. Low key lighting for this ... Show more

The long shot shows the isolation of the character, place or object that is being shown. There is a
long shot in Edward Scissorhands of Edward s castle, this shows how isolated the home is from
the rest of the neighborhood. The same is done in Chocolate Factory, with both the factory and
Charlie s home, all creating that separation allowing the buildings to appear cut off from their
surroundings in a way.
The way a director uses his camera angles, and lighting can show his own unique style in his films.
Directors tend to use certain lighting and certain angles for certain things, as evident in comparing

Heroism Of The Molly Maguires
Many say that fighting for your rights is an act of heroism, but that was not the case with the

were treated unfairly and deserved better rights. Their voices were not heard, and therefore a small
group was created to take matter into their own hands. They would secretly destroy properties to
get the mining company s attention, but backfired. Since they were a secret group, their story is not

In the film The Molly Maguires directed by Martin Ritt, physically shows how the situation may

for the workers. The mining company hired detective James McParlan to find information that
will go against the Mollies. Their objective was not to only stop the mollies but to also make
them go to trial and be judged guilty, which eventually leads to their deaths. It shows that the
company did not care about their workers, but only the money they got from their labor. They
had small children working in places that they could be crushed. At the time they still did not
have a law that could protect children, it was later implemented in 1938 that prohibited child
labor. In fact, we know the mining company did not care for their workers because in the scene
where Mr.Raines dies of black lung disease the leader of the mollies takes action into his own
hands. They go and destroy the store because Mr.Raines has done so much for the mine, but on
the day of his funeral he didn t even have a proper suit (since it couldn t be afforded). It shows

Abusing Emergency Department
One of the main issues in today s society is the usage of the emergency department. For many
individuals, the emergency department is used as a day to day health care facility instead of the
urgent care that it should be. But then again, what is the emergency department and how is it being
used? It is a section in the hospitalwhere patients come to be seen whether it is for critical and/or
non critical reasons.
According to the National Institute for Reform, its mission is to provide trauma and emergency

Medical providers have the ability during these non emergency visits to provide patients with other
resources to further expand the learning process of future ailments. It also can provide patients with
appropriate follow up care plans (Wei, Camargo June, 2000).
In conclusion, we can see that emergency departments are not used for what they have been
intended for. They are now being abused for the most minor issues, including that of preventive
care. In order for us to help reduce costs, we must learn to use the emergency department for
serious and critical issues. One major way we can help reduce costs and unnecessary visits is by
educating one another on visiting our local medical facilities when having the most minor issues.
This will not only help costs but it will give faster results when visiting the hospital overall.

However, a manufacturing firm does not need to employ many people because most manufacturing
organizations can automate their production processes to reduce their labor requirements. The fifth
mentioned difference is location, service firms do not require a physical production site allowing
them to be located anywhere, an example would be Amazon, which spent most of it s forming years
without a standing office due to their ability to operate solely through the internet. Manufacturers
on the other hand must have a physical location for the production and stock holding operations.
These differences create a difference in their respective accounting books as based on reviewing
different companies in both sectors, companies in the manufacturing sector usually had much larger
assets and overall higher numbers in the four major financial statements. Reviewing specifically the

Coretta Scott King said Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it in every generation. I
agree with King for a few reasons. Many people might just not even remember their rights. Your
rights may also even be stolen by someone. Freedom is always taken away, but you can get your
rights and freedom back by doing something outstanding. Freedom to me is being able to do
whatever you wantthat is reasonable. If you do something that is not reasonable your freedom
may be taken away. You can earn your rights back, but they can still be taken away again. If you

Children Of The Fundamentalist Church Of Jesus Christ Of...
I might have finally figured out why I experienced such mixed feelings while watching on
television the authorities take into protective custody 416 or so children of the Fundamentalist
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who lived on the Yearning for Zion ranch in west
Texas. Once again, we may have done more harm than good by treating a chronic problem as
though it were an acute crisis.
Not everyone agrees that polygamy is a problem. University of Chicago economist and Nobel
laureate Gary S. Benson commented on this issue in 2006. In the United States and similar nations,
he wrote:
Women choose their partners, and refuse to marry men who [sic] they do not want to marry,
regardless of their parents feelings or the ardor of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The idea is that these tendencies are not perplexing happenstances; they are built into the very
dynamics of polygamous unions.
The more wives a man has the less power they have. A home with, let s say, six wives and twenty
four children, is likely to function more like a monarchy than a democracy in order to prevent
unworkable chaos. Even an oligarchy is likely to need a very strong Enforcer, and almost always
this will be the man. Polygamy is almost impossible without extreme patriarchy.
But this is only one part of the equation. Another is that husbands and wives in monogamous
unions often foster more desirable behavior in their spouses by providing all kinds of positive and
negative inducements. But a patriarch in a polygamous union rarely has to cope with such
frustrating complexities. If one wife is upset about something, instead trying to understand and
correct what is troubling her, he can easily turn to another. This robs all the wives of much power.
They would do well to join forces and engage in collective bargaining; but apparently this rarely

Pope Leon XIII And The Rerum Novarum Encyclical
Having new opportunities in life is exciting, but when those opportunities become the obstacle to
pursue happiness, life may lose its meaning. Something similar happened during the industrial
revolution, which society changes. However, the church was present to advocate for those whose
happiness was taken away. Pope Leon XIII marked the history of society by writing the Rerum
NovarumEncyclicalduring the industrial revolution. Even though the industrial revolution
transformed the history of the world with the creation of new job s factories, it changed the society
by originating two classes, the wealthy and the poor. Pope Leon XIII, saw that advantages and
disadvantages of the industrial revolution and decided to convey the injustices happened at that
time. Pope Leo XIIIused that scripture and reason of natural law to argue about the common goods
and the rights of the workers.
Sharing benefits between members of the community is a principle that Pope Leo XIII transmitted
in his encyclical. The church has always been on behalf of the poor. For that reason
Pope Leo XIII used that Bible as a way to support his idea of the common good. He cited, There
was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned land or houses sold them and brought
the proceeds of what was sold (Acts 4:34). This passage supports his idea of the common good
through a spiritual interpretation with a moral lesson, which encourages the wealthy people to help
or share their goods to the needy, as

Storm Warnings
The basics of survival and the defining bricks on the pyramid of survival are food, water, and
security (or shelter). Anything outside of these are not necessities but simply strong desires. The
stability of the pyramid is threatened when any of the bricks crack. In the poem Storm Warnings
by Adrienne Rich, the brick of security is deteriorating. In a literal sense, the narrator is preparing
herself and her home for a stormthat could easily swipe her shelter, or in a figurative sense her
sanity.
Storm warnings appear in different ways that appeal to our senses. Such as the blackening of the
skies (vision), the forecast predictions (hearing), and the actual precipitation (touch). Much like our
senses, our emotions alert our inner selves

Structural walls A wall system using Earth Blocks can be as much as 40% cheaper than the
conventional alternative.
Durable When you consider that the oldest structures standing throughout the world today are
made of earth, to say that Earth Blocks are durable seems an understatement. Fire and Pest
Resistant Earth Blocks are fire, bullet, sound and bug resistant to the point of being considered
proofed . Using Earth Blocks increases your comfort and your enjoyment of your home.
Virtually Soundproof Earth Blocks are so dense a building material that, if they wish, occupants
can be effectively shut off from the outside world. Earth block buildings create their own world
on the inside which most people find is an added attraction. Aesthetically Pleasing The use of
Earth Blocks as the primary building material provides an opportunity to explore an endless
number of creative architectural designs. The natural colors of the earth can be used to enhance
the warmth of the living environment. Exteriors are typically given a weather resistant skin which
can be colored or left natural, while interiors can be plastered with a variety of decorative mixtures
or left exposed. Arches and rounded corners are options that allow for additional flexibility in
design. Earth Block buildings have a look and feel which envelops their occupants and blends
beautifully with the natural world.

Abstract
Sigmund Freud created psychoanalysis, a system through which an expert unloads oblivious
clashes in light of the free affiliations, dreams and dreams of the patient. Psychoanalytic hypothesis
is a strategy for exploring and treating identity issue and is utilized as a part of psychotherapy.
Included in this hypothesis is the way to go that things that happen to individuals amid adolescence
can add to the way they later capacity as grown ups (Gay, 1998). Freud s psychodynamic
methodology has prompted numerous insightful contemporaries and their theories that show an
evolution of Freud s psychoanalysis. This paper will show you some of the contemporaries and
their theories that were influenced by Freud. Some of these theories extend Freud s theory, and
some sort of disagree with his thinking. However, it is obvious that Freud made a mark on these
psychologists, and proved to be a big influence in the field of psychology.

Paris Peace Conference Vs Treaty Of Versailles
During the Paris Peace Conference, there were many different approaches how to create an
effective solution after the conflicts of the war. Georges Clemenceau of France, who had also
served during the French defeat in the Franco Prussian War, wanted revenge on Germany by
humiliating the country. The actions of the British representative, David Lloyd George, were
driven purely by self interest, and the Italian representative, Vittorio Orlando, was greedy in his
pursuit to acquire colonies. However, the representative from the United States, President Wilson,
sought to create a plan that would create a fair peace. Wilson felt that it was essential to create a
proposal that would establish a liberal structure of peace to prevent major European powers from
engaging in further conflict over issues such as colonies. The plan that President Wilson designed,

The final plan of the Conference, the Treaty of Versailles, was much different from Wilson s
Fourteen Points. Wilson s plan called for a just peace and prevent future wars, whereas the Treaty
of Versailles called for punishing Germany. The major points of the Treaty included Germany
losing one tenth of its land, Germany having to downsize their army and disband their navy and
airforce altogether, Germany paying reparations that would cripple its economy, and Germany
having to admit that they were the cause of World War I. These points would allow for the rise of
fascist powers in Italy and Germany, eventually leading to the outbreak of World War II. However,
one success of Wilson s plan was Point 14, which led to the creation of the League of Nations, a
group of nations that would meet to prevent conflict and preserve peace. Overall, the Fourteen
Points were not well received at the Paris Peace Conference and would not achieve the success that

Hurricanes And Tornadoes
Tornadoes and Hurricanes
For a start, much damage comes from hurricanes and tornadoes, but they cause tons of damage
like lifting up a house or picking up other things that are super heavy you wouldn t imagine. A
tornado and a hurricane can reach up to 5 wind speeds or 6EFs causing a house to lift up just
leaving the pavement. That s very serious and strong for a storm. These two types of storms have
interesting elements, like how much it takes to repair, how many of these storms hit each year, and
the variety of sizes the tornadoes get up to. These two types of storms are very interesting to learn
about and you might want to know a few things about them.
Beginning, I have been in a tornado and it wasn t fun, it was very scary. Firstly, tornadoes and
hurricanes cost over millions of dollars to repair for a house or a garage. A hurricane can cost up to
15 billion dollars to put into repair and tornadoes can cost up to 500 million. Secondly, according to
Hurricanes in the U.S, hurricanes killed over 1000 people and roughly 100 billion dollars in
damage. In Hurricanes in the U.S over 1000 people in 2005 were killed and over 100 billion dollars

The T-Distribution and T-Test
The T Distribution and T Test In probability and statistics, Student s t distribution (or simply the t
distribution) is a continuous probability distribution that arises when estimating the mean of a
normally distributed population in situations where the sample size is small (Narasimhan , 1996).
Similar to the normal distribution, the t distribution is symmetric and bell shaped, but has heavier
tails, meaning that it is more likely to produce values far from its mean. This makes the t
distribution useful for understanding statistical behaviors of random quantities. It plays a role in a
number of widely used statistical analyses, including the Student s t test for assessing the statistical
significance of the difference between two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An important property of a test statistic is that we must be able to determine its sampling
distribution under the null hypothesis, which allows us to calculate p values.
For example, suppose we wish to test whether a coin is fair. If we flip the coin 100 times and
record the results, the raw data can be represented as a sequence of 100 Heads and Tails. If our
interest is in the probability of obtaining a head, we only need to record the number T out of the
100 flips that produced a head, and use T0 = 50 as our null value. In this case, the exact sampling
distribution of T is the binomial distribution, but for larger sample sizes the normal approximation
can be used. Using one of these sampling distributions, it is possible to compute either a one tailed
or two tailed p value for the null hypothesis that the coin is fair.
The two tailed test is when a given statistical hypothesis, H0 (the null hypothesis), will be rejected
when the value of the test statistic is either sufficiently small or sufficiently large. This contrasts
with a one tailed test, in which only one of the rejection regions sufficiently small or sufficiently
large is preselected according to the alternative hypothesis being selected, and the hypothesis is
rejected only if the test statistic satisfies that criterion. (UCLA, amp; , 2009)
Among the most frequently used t tests are: a one sample location test of whether the mean of a
normally distributed population has a value

These numbers should have people at least consider the idea that sending one message to a
friend should not be as important as to risk one s own life. People caught driving while
intoxicated receive a specific punishment to help prevent further offences. People caught drinking
and driving can suffer a large number of penalties even at the first offence. Some of the penalties
include fines, license restrictions, mandatory attendance at alcohol education classes or
counseling, or community service (Drunk). The reason the class is required is because alcohol
has proven to be addicting to some individuals. These individuals need help if they can hope to
avoid drinking and driving. The class generally will consist of a program for all addicts not just
those who are charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI). The idea works for both people
who abuse alcohol regularly and those who only abuse it occasionally. For the moderate to rare
abusers the program will force them to see and interact with people who have a serious addiction,
and seeing the addicts can help scare them away from bad choices regarding alcohol for a while.
The addicted people can not only benefit from the class, but they can also receive more help if they
desire or require it. Considering the punishments that drunk drivers receive, people caught texting
and driving should acquire a similar punishment. Sending texts varies greatly from drinking and

How Did Fashion Change Over Time

Jesus and Buddha are both considered to be the backbone to their respective religions.
Buddha and Jesus are both said to be conceived without their mothers enduring any kind of human

The Genre Of Horror Films
First of all, genre is the method categorized a film based on similarities in the narrative elements.
There are a wide range of different types of film genres: detective, action, adventure, gangster or
crime, science fiction, drama, horror, romance, comedy, musical and so on. It is quite difficult to
identify a particular filmbecause a film might have a few of different genres. That is the reason
why sub genres exist. Sub genres can help us to more clarity in identify the genreof a film. For
example, a horror filmmight involve supernatural.thriller, mystery or others. Horror is a classical
genre that has now become far more popular with audiences than perhaps at any other time in its
history. This genre has been around since 1890s and it is one of the oldest genres from
Hollywood. The iconic theme across horror films is usually revolved around mirror, superhuman
killer, curse and so on. The ending will always like return to normalcy and victory over the
monstrous. I believe that this is the ending which most audiences wish to be. There are a few of
sub genres in horror films which are slasher flicks, supernatural and psychological and they are
widely adapted in hybrid films nowadays. Slasher flicks as known as massacre is a type of
horror film that usually involves murders killing the victims in a violent manner and usually with
a tool like knife, axe or others. For examples are serial killer and mass murder. For psychological

Delaying Gratification As A Process Of Scheduling The Pain...
Scott Peck describes delaying gratification as a process of scheduling the pain and pleasure of
life in such a way to enhance the pleasure ... (pg 19). In other words, it is realizing that in life, and
especially at work in any job, there are tasks and responsibilities that are enjoyable and there are
tasks and responsibilities that bring very little joy. By consciously scheduling the less enjoyable
tasks around those that are more enjoyable, time managementwill improve and productivity will
increase. People will be less likely to delay the less desirable tasks and responsibilities if they know
that once those tasks are complete, there awaits one that produces more enjoyment. In my career,
the task I least enjoy is marking. I love classroom instruction, interacting with the students,
participating in extra curricular activities, but marking is pure drudgery. However, I know that
marking is an essential part of learning and I try to schedule my marking time in the morning when
I am not distracted by other events or tired.
In today s technological world, organizations have a significantly more difficult time with this tool
than when Mr. Peck wrote this book. Electronic devices and social media have created a culture of
instant gratification. There is no need to wait until one gets home to talk about the day. Thoughts
and ideas are posted and instantly responded to by people around the world. Many work places
have had to create policy about employees using electronic devices

The government still did not treat women equally and were reluctant to give them jobs, but they

Nazi Ideology And The Nazi Party
There has been many eras in history that have been appauling to human rights; Nazism in
Germany was one of these eras. After its defeat in World War I, Germany was humiliated by the
Versailles Treaty, which reduced its territory, drastically reduced its armed forces, demanded the
recognition of its guilt for the war, and stipulated it pay reparations to the allied powers. Therefore
with the German Empire destroyed, a new parliamentary government was formed. And so, in 1933,
Adolf Hitler, was named chancellor of Germany. After the Nazi party won in the elections of
1932, the Nazi party conducted propaganda campaigns. Propaganda appeared to depict the Nazi
government as stepping in and restoring order. This propaganda was used to maintain power,
implement policies, and justify the extermination of millions of Jews and others considered
inferior by Hitler and the Nazi party. Therefore, Nazi ideology was defined as theories of racial
hierarchy and Social Darwinism, which identified Germans as part of what Nazis regarded as an
Aryan or master race. This ideology aimed to overcome social divisions and create a homogeneous
societies, or national unity. The Nazis aimed to unite all Germans living in German territory, as
well as gain additional lands for expansion. The German people were reminded of the struggle
against foreign enemies and Jewish Disruption through propaganda campaigns. Thus, the effects of
Nazismwere Anti Semitism, Euthanasia programs, and the Holocaust.

Mary Anne, and two brothers who died in early childhood. Babbage showed an early interest in
human like machines as his motherwould take him to museums and amusement halls famous for
housing these machines in the early 1800s (Isaacson 18 19). Here, Babbage saw a robot woman
who seemed to dance with a grace that only a human could hold, and he was quoted as saying, her
eyes were full of imagination. Charles Babbage grew up a sickly child, worrying his parents to the
point that they requested for him to be taught by a pastor, focusing on his health rather... Show more

Babbage had heard of God through Scriptures and Bible Stories he was told as a child, and he
made up his mind to trust in the Lord as the Creator and Ruler of all things. The Analytical
Society as a whole also agreed on this, and the men in the group, including Babbage, devoted
their careers to proving the existence of God as well as to Scientific Achievement ( Charles
Babbage 4). Now, during the early stages of the Industrial Revolution the idea of atheistic
science began to rise, as did the careers of scientists like Charles Darwin. The side opposing this
atheistic perspective was known as Natural Theology. Babbage was a strong supporter of this
supporter and its belief that the design of nature required a Designer, and that this Designer was
God. He was a part of a project later in his life known as the Bridgewater Treatises that was a
collection of writings attempting to advance the popularity of Natural Theology. In these
papers, it is obvious that Babbage s ultimate goal was to connect the world of mathematics and
science to Scripture ( Babbage 2). Babbage did this by using his mathematical expertise to prove
certain aspects of Scripture and to argue against atheist scientists, mainly David Hume (
Babbage 3). As his career progressed, Babbage began to conform to the atheistic ideas of science
at the time; however, he seemed to return to his roots as, at age seventy three, he stated, [...] the
belief in the existence of one Supreme Creator, possessed of infinite wisdom and power, is open
to far fewer difficulties than the supposition of the absence of any cause, or of the existence of a
plurality of causes ( Babbage 4). Here, Babbage looks at theology from a logical point of view,
pointing out how the belief in one Creator is simply more logical than believing in many different
causes of creation. Babbage

It s Meatloaf Night! Pick up the pace guys, its meatloaf night! Exclaimed Pleasant Grove High
School track coach Bill Saunders. You could see the pain and agony that the athletes were
experiencing as they made their final laps around the track in attempt to finish off that day s
workout. The mid afternoon sun was beating down on the young adults and you could see tears of
sweat running from their faces. Bill Saunders has been the track coach at Pleasant Grove for four
consecutive seasons now and says, There is no greater feeling of success than seeing the smiling
faces of those athletes who achieve their season goals! As the old saying goes, Those who can t,

In October 2005 Bill and his wife, Keri, had been training to run in the St. George Marathon.
This was going to be the last marathon that they would run before the arrival of their new son.
After which Keri was going to have to take it easy from running for a while. She was due in
January of 2006, but that wasn t going to stop her from running the race. Weeks leading up to
the race, the two of them were enjoying each other s company while going on long training runs
through the canyons and what not. The day of the race had finally arrived and Bill recalls
feeling especially good, for that particular race. However, 2 hours and about 18 miles into the
race, Bill tore his Achilles tendon, which removed him from the race and his running career all
at the same time. He explains, After about three surgeries and 6 months of physical therapy I
was able to walk again without crutches, but running has never truly been the same for me
since. He then goes on to add, It s funny, out of the two of us I was sure the fat pregnant lady was
going to be the one having problems that race, but no, she kicked my butt and showed me how it
s done, it was a humbling experience, and I truly love her. That following December, Bill and Keri
both graduated from Brigham Young University. Bill with a master degree in Education, and Keri
with a degree in family and marriage counseling. Just a short month later they celebrated the birth of

  • 2. Chronic Wasting Disease Management Case Study As stated previously, the accurate and factual information regarding Chronic Wasting Disease is important to further gain an understanding among the many stakeholders of the degree of risks of CWD and more so, to gain support for CWD management. The failure to keep Texas Landowners, hunters and many other groups informed of the CWD with most recent facts could impact how these individuals see the disease management strategies (CWD Management Plan, 2015). The approach to tackling this disease has successful has been displayed in many strategies. One possible attempt that has been established is the Eradication Attempt in which The state of New York identified CWD in two different captive herds during a routine surveillance that took place... Likewise, 1,200 deer were collected within the Disease Zone during 2011 winter as well as 2,300 samples from hunters of deer that had been harvested the following fall and no positive result were identified of CWD (CWD Management Plan, 2015). Another Solution is the Control Attempt where states like Wyoming, Colorado, Wisconsin, where CWD has been around for several years, would not want to consider the Eradication Attempt as a course of action. The Control Attempt is to strictly focused on reducing the migration of free ranging or captive deer also from CWD infected areas, which could greatly reduce the spread. In the Control Attempt, some states have paired up with hunters to monitor the prevalence, distribution, and managing of deer and elk population to meet the requirements of the CWD objectives (CWD Management Plan, 2015). A third solution is the Outreach Attempt, which has been a well developed and educated plan that is perceived as a critical component of CWD management to help keep Texas Hunters and the general public well informed of most factual information about CWD. This attempt to increase the awareness and implication of this disease by networking with natural resource professionals and strongly encouraging them to schedule Chronic Wasting Disease presentations with the wildlife, hunting, or ... • 4. Examples Of Outcasts In Of Mice And Men Some people are deemed too dangerous so they are shunned and kicked out of society. This now makes them outcasts. In the book Wolf Children Ame and Yuki are are the outcasts. Society did not want them because they are wolf children. In Of Mice And Men Lennie was the outcast. Society did not want him because they thought he was not mentally stable enough to be in this world. Lennie, Ame, and Yuki are all victims of society. This is because people just don t know enough about them to know they can be good people. There are a lot of things that make an outcast ,and one of the main reasons is their danger. To begin Ame and Yuki would always howl and play. This shows the other people did not understand they were just kids, the only difference with them is that they were half wolf. This really intimidated the rest of society.Another thing is, people judge others harshly for the mistakes they make only because these mistakes could affect or harm them. For example Lennie in Of Mice And Men killed Curley s wife. When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This clearly show that he doesn t like himself because he thinks he is a monster and people would be scared of him if they knew who he really was. Lastly, when Lennie got kicked out of his first job because he grabbed a girls skirt. He felt very guilty and thought he was a horrible person because he caused so much trouble. Now this can be used with a few following examples; a species will not be able to survive if it is the strongest of its kind if the area it lives in is cold. The specimen with the warm fur coat will outlast the physically strong. Now this can work the other way as well the specimen with the fur coat may not be able to defend its self from the predators if it is not the most physically fit specimen. The end result if the speciesdoes not adapt to the new surroundings it will eventually die out and become extinct, leaving the one specimen who has now passed on the fur coat to survive in the cold ... • 6. The Characteristics Of Marriage In The Medieval Era Marriage In the medieval era is certainly a difficult one to study, as evidence often lies within the realm of poetry, or a narrative tale. Sometimes one can look into non narrative prose, like written laws, or contracts, however, these documents do not always provide the entire scope of social structure. When looking into certain characteristics of marriagein Western Europe, specifically in the timeframe of ca. 1000 through ca. 1300, there are many characteristics of marriage that one may find to have a progressive nature. During this time, marriage seems to transcend from political ideals, to that of a purer construct. We will begin by looking into certain traits of marriage in Western European medieval times that I believe to be the most important aspects of marriage, not only for woman, but also for society as a whole. Before I begin, I would like to note that when I speak of marriage, I m specifically referring to that of Western Europeduring the timeframe stated above. The process of finding a spouse to marry begins to change dramatically during this time. While we have strict laws today regarding that of a potential spouse, marrying a cousin or close relative was that of the norm during medieval times, as many aristocrats wanted to keep their property and power within their own kin. However, this common practice begins to change, as Canon law provided rules as to how closely bride and groom could be related. In 1215, the Fourth Lateran Council prohibited ... • 8. Compare And Contrast Phoenix Jackson And Montresor Dying to Live: Comparison of Phoenix Jackson and Montresor Everyone has motives good or bad. Some people are inspired by love while others are motivated by pure hate. Individuals that are controlled by love tend to do moral things; they generally brighten people s days and help others. On the contrary, people who are moved by hate often do not make the best decisions. They make others feel down about themselves. Personalities are contagious and one person acting by love will make someone else do the same. This is also the case with hate. Being around a happy person makes one joyful; being surrounded by hate causes bitterness. Short stories have many examples of characters that are under these circumstances. In Eudora Weltys A Worn... The hatred inside of Montresor is the driving force for his need to murder Fortunato. Montresor is also an extremely manipulative character. He plays his house attendants by telling them strictly not to leave the house. He states, These orders were sufficient, I well knew, to insure their immediate disappearance, one and all, as soon as my back was turned (526; 24). This fixes the problems that would have arisen with any witnesses. He also plays Fortunato in a few different ways. The strategy he uses the most is inspecting Fortunato s wellbeing. Montresor pleads, Come, we will go back; your health is precious. You are rich, respected, admired, beloved; you are happy, as once I was. You are a man to be missed. For me it is no matter. We will go back; you will be ill, and I cannot be responsible (526; 35). Once Fortunato hears Montresor say all of this about him, he quickly refuses to turn around. As far as my understanding, backbone of any professional field consists of two important parts, the academic part; knowledge and practical aspect, and the research part. The academic part helps the professionals to apply the knowledge in the practical life, but the research part is the one that provides all the knowledge and does mostly all the behind the scene work. That is why it would be preferred for every student in their respective discipline to participate and explore research in their respective field. This is the reason as to why I want to participate in the research field relating to my Medicinecareer. Research is very useful because it helps in expanding previous knowledge and adding new knowledge for any particular discipline. Not only that, research helps students to get the better understanding of what they are studying in classes and lectures. It provides student the background knowledge of the stuff they learn in a classroom. This prepares students to expand their horizon, think outside the box, critically analyze using the scientific method, and helps students to use their behind the scene knowledge to experiment and discover new things. The more wives a man has the less power they have. A home with, let s say, six wives and twenty four children, is likely to function more like a monarchy than a democracy in order to prevent unworkable chaos. Even an oligarchy is likely to need a very strong Enforcer, and almost always this will be the man. Polygamy is almost impossible without extreme patriarchy. But this is only one part of the equation. Another is that husbands and wives in monogamous unions often foster more desirable behavior in their spouses by providing all kinds of positive and negative inducements. But a patriarch in a polygamous union rarely has to cope with such frustrating complexities. If one wife is upset about something, instead trying to understand and correct what is troubling her, he can easily turn to another. This robs all the wives of much power. They would do well to join forces and engage in collective bargaining; but apparently this rarely happens. Extreme patriarchy easily becomes tyranny against women. Something similar happened during the industrial revolution, which society changes. However, the church was present to advocate for those whose happiness was taken away. Pope Leon XIII marked the history of society by writing the Rerum NovarumEncyclicalduring the industrial revolution. Even though the industrial revolution transformed the history of the world with the creation of new job s factories, it changed the society by originating two classes, the wealthy and the poor. Pope Leon XIII, saw that advantages and disadvantages of the industrial revolution and decided to convey the injustices happened at that time. Pope Leo XIIIused that scripture and reason of natural law to argue about the common goods and the rights of the workers. Sharing benefits between members of the community is a principle that Pope Leo XIII transmitted in his encyclical. The church has always been on behalf of the poor. For that reason Pope Leo XIII used that Bible as a way to support his idea of the common good. He cited, There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned land or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold (Acts 4:34). The T-Distribution and T-Test The T Distribution and T Test In probability and statistics, Student s t distribution (or simply the t distribution) is a continuous probability distribution that arises when estimating the mean of a normally distributed population in situations where the sample size is small (Narasimhan , 1996). Similar to the normal distribution, the t distribution is symmetric and bell shaped, but has heavier tails, meaning that it is more likely to produce values far from its mean. This makes the t distribution useful for understanding statistical behaviors of random quantities. It plays a role in a number of widely used statistical analyses, including the Student s t test for assessing the statistical significance of the difference between two... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An important property of a test statistic is that we must be able to determine its sampling distribution under the null hypothesis, which allows us to calculate p values. For example, suppose we wish to test whether a coin is fair. If we flip the coin 100 times and record the results, the raw data can be represented as a sequence of 100 Heads and Tails. If our interest is in the probability of obtaining a head, we only need to record the number T out of the 100 flips that produced a head, and use T0 = 50 as our null value. In this case, the exact sampling distribution of T is the binomial distribution, but for larger sample sizes the normal approximation can be used. Using one of these sampling distributions, it is possible to compute either a one tailed or two tailed p value for the null hypothesis that the coin is fair. The two tailed test is when a given statistical hypothesis, H0 (the null hypothesis), will be rejected when the value of the test statistic is either sufficiently small or sufficiently large. This contrasts with a one tailed test, in which only one of the rejection regions sufficiently small or sufficiently large is preselected according to the alternative hypothesis being selected, and the hypothesis is rejected only if the test statistic satisfies that criterion. (UCLA, amp; , 2009) Among the most frequently used t tests are: a one sample location test of whether the mean of a normally distributed population has a value ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 39. Delaying Gratification As A Process Of Scheduling The Pain... Scott Peck describes delaying gratification as a process of scheduling the pain and pleasure of life in such a way to enhance the pleasure ... (pg 19). In other words, it is realizing that in life, and especially at work in any job, there are tasks and responsibilities that are enjoyable and there are tasks and responsibilities that bring very little joy. By consciously scheduling the less enjoyable tasks around those that are more enjoyable, time managementwill improve and productivity will increase. People will be less likely to delay the less desirable tasks and responsibilities if they know that once those tasks are complete, there awaits one that produces more enjoyment. In my career, the task I least enjoy is marking. I love classroom instruction, interacting with the students, participating in extra curricular activities, but marking is pure drudgery. However, I know that marking is an essential part of learning and I try to schedule my marking time in the morning when I am not distracted by other events or tired. In today s technological world, organizations have a significantly more difficult time with this tool than when Mr. Peck wrote this book. Electronic devices and social media have created a culture of instant gratification. There is no need to wait until one gets home to talk about the day. Thoughts and ideas are posted and instantly responded to by people around the world. Many work places have had to create policy about employees using electronic devices ... It was in this position that Michelle Van Cleave as the National CI Executive outlined the need for a national level system. A system that could coordinate and strategically apply a CI mission against a foreign threat in a unified cohesive manner. The war opened new opportunities for women, who suddenly realised they could be independent and faced responsibilities like earning money for the family and being in control. The government still did not treat women equally and were reluctant to give them jobs, but they realised they needed the extra employees so paid them 2/3 the men s wage, most women accepted their duties and many jumped at the chance to prove their worth in skills previously thought of as purely for men. • 42. Nazi Ideology And The Nazi Party There has been many eras in history that have been appauling to human rights; Nazism in Germany was one of these eras. After its defeat in World War I, Germany was humiliated by the Versailles Treaty, which reduced its territory, drastically reduced its armed forces, demanded the recognition of its guilt for the war, and stipulated it pay reparations to the allied powers. Therefore with the German Empire destroyed, a new parliamentary government was formed. And so, in 1933, Adolf Hitler, was named chancellor of Germany. After the Nazi party won in the elections of 1932, the Nazi party conducted propaganda campaigns. Propaganda appeared to depict the Nazi government as stepping in and restoring order. This propaganda was used to maintain power, implement policies, and justify the extermination of millions of Jews and others considered inferior by Hitler and the Nazi party. Therefore, Nazi ideology was defined as theories of racial hierarchy and Social Darwinism, which identified Germans as part of what Nazis regarded as an Aryan or master race. This ideology aimed to overcome social divisions and create a homogeneous societies, or national unity. The Nazis aimed to unite all Germans living in German territory, as well as gain additional lands for expansion. The German people were reminded of the struggle against foreign enemies and Jewish Disruption through propaganda campaigns. Thus, the effects of Nazismwere Anti Semitism, Euthanasia programs, and the Holocaust. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Babbage showed an early interest in human like machines as his motherwould take him to museums and amusement halls famous for housing these machines in the early 1800s (Isaacson 18 19). Here, Babbage saw a robot woman who seemed to dance with a grace that only a human could hold, and he was quoted as saying, her eyes were full of imagination. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Babbage had heard of God through Scriptures and Bible Stories he was told as a child, and he made up his mind to trust in the Lord as the Creator and Ruler of all things. The Analytical Society as a whole also agreed on this, and the men in the group, including Babbage, devoted their careers to proving the existence of God as well as to Scientific Achievement ( Charles Babbage 4). Now, during the early stages of the Industrial Revolution the idea of atheistic science began to rise, as did the careers of scientists like Charles Darwin. The side opposing this atheistic perspective was known as Natural Theology. Babbage was a strong supporter of this supporter and its belief that the design of nature required a Designer, and that this Designer was God. He was a part of a project later in his life known as the Bridgewater Treatises that was a collection of writings attempting to advance the popularity of Natural Theology. In these papers, it is obvious that Babbage s ultimate goal was to connect the world of mathematics and science to Scripture ( Babbage 2). Babbage did this by using his mathematical expertise to prove certain aspects of Scripture and to argue against atheist scientists, mainly David Hume ( Babbage 3). As his career progressed, Babbage began to conform to the atheistic ideas of science at the time; however, he seemed to return to his roots as, at age seventy three, he stated, [...] the belief in the existence of one Supreme Creator, possessed of infinite wisdom and power, is open to far fewer difficulties than the supposition of the absence of any cause, or of the existence of a plurality of causes ( Babbage 4). Here, Babbage looks at theology from a logical point of view, pointing out how the belief in one Creator is simply more logical than believing in many different causes of creation. Babbage ...
