As we all sat down, there was debate on whether we should start eating or wait to
say a prayer. Since none of my family is religious, we decided to go around the

There has been a lot said in the last few years about Agile project management
methodologies, and I have found that the general feeling is that Agile although not
perfect tends to provide better results in software development projects than
waterfall and other methodologies. People tend to be very opinionated about it, and
in my experience there three dominant positions about Agile: you either love it, hate
it or you don t care, in other words, you do not believe in methodologies at all, you
think they are all a waste of time and effort.
I can see where the different of views come from, and in my experience I have been
successful working with Agile, specifically Scrum, in software projects, but ... Show
I personally really like Agile, and I have worked very well in teams using Scrum.
Yes, we did have problems too, customers with bugs and we also fell behind on the
schedule sometimes. But applying Scrum correctly has allowed us to be informed,
committed and react quickly to those issues. Everybody in the team is in sync and
knows what to expect, stakeholders feel informed and involved, and you can
measure progress and forecast releases with a certain degree of certainty. All this
with what I would consider very little friction, bureaucracy and with what I would
consider a short learning curve, especially compared to other methodologies and
frameworks such as Rational Unified Process (RUP).
Agile, Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies are not necessarily perfect nor
complete, but they may be a good match, especially if you are running a software
project. To be honest, after years writing critical path method (CPM) / Gantt based
project management software, I can see that there is a value for every methodology
and it depends heavily on the characteristics of the project, and I think you can apply

school atmosphere, and achievements amongst all students. It is important to
understand each level of students, and what may or may not be conducive to
restraining spontaneous actions or responses. Oftentimes teachers face hardship in a

management is difficult because of unruly behaviors from students, or not being
accurately prepared for students with challenging behaviors. By implementing these

OVERALL SCENARIO
Overall, credit card saw a 2% increase in the cards issued, a 19% increase in the
number of transaction and a 33% increase in the transaction value. It showed a strong
improvement in the last five years compared to the other countries. In terms of card
circulation, banks continued to maintain a strict Know Your Customer policy, before
issuing the card to the customer.

Banks gave various offers including cashback on certain amounts of expenditure,

Research Project Outcome
Colon cancer claims the lives of 12 Australians each day and is the second largest
cancer killer (1). Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer in the
Australian population after the age of 50. It is essential that Australian men and
women are aware of the aggressiveness and severity of the disease (2) and the
primary preventative methods. The Indigenous Australian population, in comparison
to the non indigenous population, have a higher prevalence of the disease and
experience higher mortality rates (3). Due to the lack of medical resources and
awareness, men and women living in rural areas have an increased risk of developing
colon cancer (4). For these reasons, I have decided to conduct an investigation on the
significance, the primary preventative methods and the impact they can have on the
health and awareness of the Australian population.
I conducted my initial research by investigating the internet and books, both of
which encompassed the anatomy of the stomach and allowed me to gather a
greater understanding of Colon Cancer. Bowel cancer is a malignant growth that
develops most commonly in the lining of the large bowel. The vast majority of
bowel cancers develop from growths called polyps . Not all polyps become
cancerous. The larger that a polyp grows, the more likely it is to become malignant
