Media Change In Mass Media
Throughout the time in which we have had communication, our form of giving and receiving
information has increased. No longer are the days in which a piece of paper had to be rushed back into
town to relay what had transpired that day, or a little note strapped to a pigeon that hopefully flew
back to base. Now, we have forms of mass media, such as television, radio, and over the internet. One
thing that has drastically changed is war. Before the invention of mass media, governments held full
reign over what the people thought and heard about foreign or domestic transpirings. Now, however,
all is known about war. The reactions to this, concurrently, have changed with the time. During foreign
conflicts, news people and journalists travel to the front lines to show firsthand what is transpiring
there. They then bring this information back, or alternatively, don t. Some wars and conflicts go
unseen, unheard from foreign countries.
There have been multiple studies done on the reactions of people on different wars. These different
studies verify that there is a correlation between the amount of media coverage that a conflict gets and
the reaction and resources given to it during the time of the incident and in the aftermath. This paper is
to show the correlation and differences in the research of professionals, not to sway any opinion, or to
show my own personal beliefs. This is purely an informative piece.

Mechanical building plan change incorporates client, site and critical change. Plan changes that

the strict variety system, this just can be finished under the reason of common assent. For the scene

Elizabeth I s Reforms
The English Reformation of the sixteenth century was one of the most drastic religious reforms in
England. During this time, the Tudor Dynasty swept England from Roman Catholicism into the arms
of Protestantism. However, such a massive change did not come without strife.
The Tudor Dynasty began with King Henry VII. After defeating Richard III and ending the War of the
Roses, Henry united the warring Lancaster and York factions under the Tudor Rose. Henry and his
wife Elizabeth had four children: Arthur, Margaret, Henry, and Mary. After Henry VII s death, his
firstborn son Arthur ascended to the throne and married his betrothed, Catherine of Aragon. Mere
months after the marriage, Arthur died from illness. Henry VIII took his place and married the
widowed Catherine (History.com Staff, Henry VIII )
Catherine bore three sons and three daughters, but only her daughter Mary survived. Henry became
infuriated with his lack of a male heir and began to stray. He feared that God had cursed Catherine, as
the Old Testament forbade marrying a brother s widow. His eye landed upon a young noblewoman
named Anne Boleyn. He sought to marry her, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some Protestants saw Elizabeth I s reforms as inadequate; they called the Church halfly reformed.
They removed themselves from the Church of England and sought their own spiritual outlets, such as
Puritanism, which aimed to remove all dredges of Catholicism from the Church. The dissenting
populace was negligible, though, and England remained unified under the Protestant religion. By the
time Elizabeth s reign drew to a close, English citizens respected and loved their Church, seeing it as a
cornerstone of their identity. The significance of this Protestant identity was carried into English
culture as well: Protestant festivals replaced Catholic holidays, such as Elizabeth s day of accession,
the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot, and the day England defeated the Spanish Armada

women aged 18 to 24, many of whom are the first women in their families to work in the formal

Nike has contracted with more than 700 shops around the world and has offices located in 45

Symptoms Of Chikungunya Fever ( Chikf )
Chikungunya fever (CHIKF) is commonly found in urban areas of Southeast Asian and African
countries. This disease was first identified in Tanzania in the early 1950s. Frequently, outbreaks of
Chikungunya fever have only been described in South Asian and African countries, which are located
in tropical and subtropical zones close to the equator. However, this does not stop the disease from
traveling to other parts of the world. In 2007, there were 205 laboratory confirmed cases in Italy,
making this the first outbreak in a temperate zone. Most cases of the disease tend to appear in densely
populated areas, allowing efficient transmission of the pathogen. The first cases of Chikungunya fever
in the Americas and Caribbean Islands were reported in late 2013. The causing agent of the
Chikungunya fever is the Chikungunya virus (CHIKV). It is an enveloped virus with a positive polar
single stranded RNA that belongs to the genus Alphavirus. These types of viruses are often transmitted
to humans from mosquitoes infected with the viruses. Alphaviruses, including Sindbis virus (SINV)
and Semliki Forest virus (SFV), are major contributors to the group of Arboviruses (arthropod borne
viruses). Circulating mainly in a sylvatic, enzootic cycle, CHIKV occasionally spills over into human
populations starting in rural areas with small outbreaks. Migration of infected individuals probably
results in urban introduction. CHIKF is a zoonotic and vector borne disease. Its major transmission

Character Analysis OfThe Mill On The Floss
The sharp and unruly main character of The Mill on the Floss is Maggie Tulliver. She is a gell gone
nine, at the outset of the story, the daughter of the miller Mr. Tulliver, and lives with her family on the
banks of the Floss (Eliot 8, 9, 12). When Mr. and Mrs. Tulliver begin discussing the issue of Tom s
education in their first conversation of the story, they segue into discussion of his sister. While Mrs.
Tulliver derides Maggie for being unsensible, brown skinned, and altogether unlike her side of the
family, Mr. Tulliver defends her, saying she s a straight, black eyed wench as anybody need wish to
see. I don t know i what she s behind other folks s children; and she can read almost as well as the
parson, (Eliot 12). Maggie s parents further describe her physiognomy for the reader later in this
conversation. From Mrs. Tulliver s perspective, her daughter s hair exemplifies the issue with Maggie
s character. But her hair won t curl all I can do with it... an there s her cousin Lucy s got a row o curls
round her head, an not a hair out o place, Mrs. Tulliver frets (Eliot 12, 13). Maggie s mother feels that
her daughter is a comical mistake, with her dark, heavy locks, air of a small Shetland pony, and
likeness to a Bedlam creature, (Eliot 12, 13). Because of this dissatisfaction, Mrs. Tulliver is forever
attempting to make her daughter more similar to herself and to other folks s respectable, curly haired
children. Later in the story, Maggie s character is further established by juxtaposition to her brother
Tom. Tom Tulliver differs from Maggie not only in appearance, but also in garnering motherly
affection: Mrs. Tulliver continually speaks of him with great approbation and pride, greeting him as
my sweet lad! on his return from school (Eliot 30). In addition to this contrast in affection, a contrast
in physical character is evident between the siblings. Tom is described as a lad with light brown hair,
cheeks of cream and roses, full lips, indeterminate nose and eyebrows... the generic character to
boyhood, while Maggie is moulded and colored with the most decided intention, a dark eyed,
demonstrative, rebellious girl, though it is noted that these physical appearances

Edgar Allen Poe s Tell-Tale Heart
What would you call a murder? Do you think that killing an old man for some unnecessary reason a
murder? I for one think that the narrator is a dangerous man and is guilty of murdering the old man. In
Edgar Allen Poe Tell Tale Heart , the narrator had mental issues because he heard voices, plotted to
kill and he cut up a body.
But would if he wasn`t in the right mind because of his disease? Even if that was the case, as long as
he is still free, he could do bad things. He killed an innocent old man just because he had an
intimidating eye. Most people would`ve just avoid looking at it. Be this man killed him because of it.
This guilty man actually planned and stalked this old man for days before killing him. That means that

The Pursuit Of Freedom And Justice There Was A Hurricane
In the Pursuit of Freedom and Justice there was a Hurricane
In times of national discontent and social injustice, music is one of the leading forms of rebellion and
storytelling. In 1975, Bob Dylan contributed to this rebellious storytelling narrative by creating
Hurricane a song about the wrongful imprisonment of middleweight fighter Rubin Hurricane Carter.
There is a common idea that the issues we face do not have the same magnitude the issues our
predecessors faced. By assuming this idea, the implications of similar issues are ignored. The
importance of this comparison relies on the magnitude of their influence. Their songs enlightened a
variety of people about the daily dealings of corruption within our nation and enforced the need to
fight for one another when the system proved treat the members of the society unfairly. The song
Freedom by Beyoncé Knowles Carter created in 2016 discusses current struggles that African
Americans are facing by being reduced to stereotypes that prevent unity and fairness and even
includes a verse performed by rapper Kendrick Lamar specifying instances of racial tension that have
affected him. Though both songs are written about wrongful imprisonment the purpose of their songs,
the intended audience, and the use of expression differ. The contrast between the songs only elevate
the notion that no two issues are exactly alike. After each song was created the awareness of wrongful
imprisonment has accounted to the fight for justice

Essay Laurent Clerc Pioneer Teacher
Laurent Clerc Pioneer Teacher
1785 1869
Laurent Clerc was born in LaBalme, France, on Dec. 26 1785. His father was Mayor of the town and
the family could boast of a long line of magistrates in the Clerc lineage. At the age of one, the infant
fell from a kitchen chair by accident into a nearby fireplace. He was burned on one side of his face and
a fever left him totally deaf. He had uncle also named Laurent Clerc, who heard about the school for
the deaf in Paris. When he was twelve years old, his uncle brought him to Paris and took him in the
Royal Institution for the Deaf. In 1816, his eight year as a teacher, an event happened which changed
the course of his life.

History of Laurent Clerc
There are a lot of firsts that Laurent Clerc accomplished. He was the first deaf teacher in America, the
first deaf person to appear before U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C. to talk about establishing public
schools for the deaf, and the first deaf person to get an honorary M.A. degree from Trinity College.
Clerc was born to a prominent family in the village of LaBalme, France. His father was a notary by
profession and a mayor of the village for 34 years. His mother was the daughter of another notary.
Males in Clercs family held the office of Tubelion (a Royal Commissary) in that village for over 300
years. Clercs family believes that he became deaf after falling from his highchair into the kitchen fire,
but he might have been born deaf. His right cheek was burned from the accident hence the name sign
of brushing two fingers across cheek.
Clerc lived through the French Revolution, witnessing Napoleons rise and fall. In fact, he lived in
England for a while to escape from the turmoil.
Clerc had once been considered to help start a school for the deaf in Russia but was passed over
because he was deaf. He agreed to coe to America for only three years for three reasons: 1) to help
organize a new school for the deaf; 2) to be the first experienced teacher; and 3) to teach others how to
teach deaf. However, he married one of his beautiful, dark eyed, dark haired, slender,

Chordates Research Paper
Plants and animals evolved to improve themselves for a better chance of survival on land. Both are
similar in the fact that they had to evolve from a single cellular environment to a multicellular
environment and both faced many challenges of adapting to a new harsh land atmosphere. Plants
evolved from freshwater algae and are classified into two separate groups of plants. Bryophytes are
non vascular plants and the tracheophytes that are vascular plants. As for animals there are
invertebrates, which are animals that that don t have a backbone, and there are vertebrates, animals
that do have a backbone such as the Chordates. Four challenges these plants and animals had to face
were avoiding desiccation, retaining water, a way to get nutrients and finally the challenge of
reproduction. These were all very important aspects plants animals had adapt to, to ensure their

To protect from water loss vascular plants devolved the cuticle, which is a waxy surface material that
is exposed to the plants surface. The stomata also help in avoiding desiccation by closing if there the
plant does not have a lot of water. Vascular plants also developed the seed that has a protective coating
on it so that it does not dry up and is part of the plants reproduction. The plasmodesmata also aids in
helping the plant avoid desiccation. Animals must keep hydrated to avoid desiccation. They must
consume plenty of water so they so not get dehydrated. An animal s skin also helps it in avoiding
desiccation. If the animal is an amphibian it must keep its skin moist and usually lives around

Was Hitler A Good Person
I would like to discuss the possibility that Hitler was acting on his own morality. I don t know too
much about the man, but I would like to discuss a few points in terms of whether he was a good
person or bad person. ...Basically, how you should judge him or look at him. I think most people
would say immediately that Hitler was evil, bad, screwed up, crazy, a lunatic. However, as far as I
know, Hitler spent a lot of time studying philosophy and ideas and didn t really do much until after he
was 30 years old. So, while it would be easy to just judge the guy as a lunatic, there were probably
real reasons for his actions. Here are a few points I have heard and I could be wrong. As far as Hitler s

It was something to prepare the way for Christ. Because how would people know they needed a savior
from their sin, if they were not aware they were sinners. So, essentially, people were given a law that
they were unable to follow perfectly and they became aware of their guilt when breaking the law.
Hence, the idea of a conscience. I m sure the idea of a conscience preceded the Jews and probably
went along with any group of people that had any kind of social rules. However, the Jews introduced a
complex series of laws that would regulate nearly every aspect of your life, so the idea of sin became
bigger, so the conscience would take on a larger role. So, one point is that Hitler didn t like to idea of a
conscience. So, he targeted the people that propagated these ideas. And in his view, these people were
evil. Of course, this doesn t mean that Hitler was justified in his actions. However, there are some
implications about his thinking. If it was Hitler s desire to obliterate the concept of a conscience, then
it would be easy to see how he could unfeelingly assist in the destruction of millions of people,
without it bothering

That Tally Stick
So many people have keepsakes to symbolize their love for one another. Couples have pictures and
mementos to remind them of their special times. In The Tally Stick , Jarold Ramsey introduces us to a
couple who use a tally stick rather than pictures to represent what is important in their lives. Ramsey
takes us from the beginning of the relationship, when the stick is bare, to the end when it is carved end
to end. We learn of the outside events that build their love, as well as internal measure, upon which
their love is built. According to Ramsey the stick is a part of the couple s relationship. The tally stick

Our tally stick is whittled nearly end to end; delicate as scrimshaw, it would not bear you up (20).
Ramsey mentions that the stick is polished with regrets. Because they both have regrets that helped
build their love, the couple clusters those regrets with all other mishaps hand over hand (22). The
author ends the poem with the couple looking back on everything they have done. Running their
fingers from beginning to end they will explore everything that shaped their relationship and forgive
each other s regrets. Ramsey refers to their blameless eyes, telling us that the two no longer blame one
another and can go on loving through old age. Starting from when they were children, they follow the
grain all the way to adulthood and talk softly as of ordinary matters and in one another s blameless
eyes go blind (27). The Tally Stick is symbolic of everything this couple shares with each other. It not
only shows special occasions like a picture but tells a detailed story of their life together. The couple
relives the significant times they spent together by running their thumbs through the intricate notches.
Detailed depictions of their wedding, the births of their children, the tragedies they have gone through
can all be found within the stick. This stick defines the relationship, and is part of the each of them.

A Journey Through Hebrew Scriptures
A Journey through the Hebrew Scriptures (2003) evaluates the major debate among scholars regarding
the definition of myth and its role in Christian society and literature today, particularly the Hebrew
Bible and how that impacts the interpretation of God. Frick describes a myth as a story with no
grounding in fact, a pure fiction, falsehood, or fantasy. In basic terms something that is not considered
true in any sense . This narrative literacy genre emerges in nearly every spiritual tradition. Yet, to
many any god talk is considered a myth. For a text to qualify as a myth, it must be a traditional story
that deals with a character(s) who is more than an ordinary human and treats events in isolated ancient
times.

The Similarities Of Charlemagne And The Medieval Age
During the time period of 400 A.D to 1500, otherwise known as the Medieval Age, there lived a
variety of important people to history, ranging from political characters to simple yet dangerous
travelers. Of all these important people, the political character Charlemagne and the cultural icon
Geoffrey Chaucer stand out as having many similarities and a few differences that are worth
describing in detail to really see how alike people in the Medieval Age really were.
One similarity between Charlemagne and Geoffrey Chaucer is that they were both the Father of
something. This title meant that the person of interest played a big part in a change that became the
new norm for the rest of history. Charlemagne was known as the Father of Europe and Geoffrey was
known as the Father of English Literature . Charlemagne was the former king of the Franks, king of
the Lombards, and was the first Roman emperor for the Holy Roman Empire. One of his reigns were
the Franks, which were a Germanic tribe in Belgium, France, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and
western Germany. One of his main goals were to unite all Germanic tribes under one kingdom and
convert them to Christianity. It was because of Charlemagne that Christianity remained relevant in the
west because of all his efforts. Another one of his main goals was the Carolingian Renaissance, which
he wanted to be a cultural and intellectual revival of Europe. This meant that he wanted Europe to
become fuller of culture and intellectual

Bourdieu s Concept Of Cultural Capital
The following essay will begin with key definitions from the title followed by Bourdieu s notion of
cultural capital . Cultural capital is defined as the idea and knowledge that people draw upon as they
participate in social life. Everything from rules of etiquette to being able to speak and write effectively
can be considered cultural capital (Crossman, 2015). The essay will commence by looking at the
autonomy of cultural capital and how Bourdieu has established new concepts to help understand
cultural capital. The notions Bourdieu invented, are habitus, capital and field aid him in creating an
original approach to explain among others, the existing social inequality present in society and the
perpetuation of this inequality. This essay will analyse Bourdieu s concepts and how he established
these concepts using Marx theory of capitalism. Literature from various established writers will be
presented when making an argument formerly reaching a conclusion. Pierre Bourdieu (1997:314)
argued that the success of an individual depended on their Cultural Capital. Bourdieu argued that
working class pupils lack cultural capital to achieve success in the education system. Bourdieu claims
that a major role of the education system is the social function of elimination. Material resources alone
are not acceptable enough in attaining academic success; the right amount of cultural capital will help
us gain our qualifications. Children who were already equipped with this leading

The Impact Of Cultural Diversity On An Organization
Past experiences have demonstrated that cultural diversity in an organization can lead to issues. For
instance, the implementation of a strategy in a context different from where it has been created can be
difficult, conflicts between subsidiaries and the headquarters can exist, or management of intercultural
teams can be problematic. Walmart in Germany is a relevant example of the cultural context
importance when it comes to HRM. In fact, in 1997 and 1998, Walmart acquired two companies in
Germany but it was a failure. It can be explained by the fact that feedback of the employees was
ignored by managers. For example, in the morning they had to do exercise while singing the name of
the brand. This practice may be a morale booster in the United States but in Germany it was seen in a
really bad way, such as the practice of spying on colleagues, what can surely be related to the country
s history, among others examples. The US management practices was not in accordance with the
German cultural context. (Macaray, 2011)
That is why intercultural management cannot be ignored when it comes to the organization
performance, and the universal best practice approach to HRM have to be critically considered
because what is appropriate to a specific environment will not systematically be for another.
Before, intercultural management did not existed. The universalist approach, which is inspired by the
success encountered by Taylor and Ford s concepts until the 1950s, asserts that the

s book Schindler s List, . The movie truly represent of the German entrepreneur Oscar Schindler
during World War II, through various ways exhaust all his property saved more than 1,200 Jews from
the rue story of fascist s killings. The story plots are authentic and make audience really touched.
Hereinto the music using, shape and use of the lens and Oscar·Schindler s character image building
are the three aspects I most admire.
Introduction
Oscar Schindler, from April 28, 1908 to October 9, 1974, is a German, as well as a successful
businessman. He saved the Jews by the use of some mistakes of the German war economy
organization. Using the German war, lure the Jews investment, than hire cheap Jews to work for him

Regulating Dietary Supplements
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was founded in 1906 to regulate the safety of food and
drugs. The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) was put into effect in 1994 to
regulate dietary supplements. Under this Act, dietary supplements are categorized as food. Therefore,
they do not require testing before marketing. However, my contention is dietary supplements should
no longer be considered foods because they contain substances that are not safe to consume without
prior approval of doctors. Further, they should be tested before being marketed to improve the safety
and well being of the consumer. With the help of Jennifer Weeks, in her article Dietary Supplements,
and information provided by the FDA, I will prove why the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Critics against stricter regulations claim that ingredients in dietary supplements have a history in the
food industry because the ingredients allowed before the DSHEA are deemed safe. However, it is
unknown if the amount is appropriate for the recommended use. Furthermore, consumers have to trust
that the labels are accurate and the product actually contains what is listed on the label. In a study
conducted by the New York State Attorney General s Office, 80 percent of supplements sold in
Walmart, Target, Walgreens, and GNC contained none of the listed ingredients, instead they had rice,

Best Practices for Kitting and Sub Assembly
Best Practices for Kitting and Sub Assembly
Introduction
Let s talk about Best Practices for kitting and assembly. They mean different things depending on your
position within the supply chain. Many companies use kitting and assembly interchangeably together
but they are indeed different.
Manufacturers typically use the term assembly while wholesaling industry (comprised of 3PL and
distribution companies) use kitting. You are either combining raw materials to create a finished good,
or combining already finished goods into a larger group. Even if you have raw goods, you can still kit
for assembly. Kitting is for anyone who wants to combine group items together, build a product, or
make a master item.

Employees
When kitting is part of the process, assembly workers usually spend more time assembling and less
time walking around searching for components. The value add time contributed by assemblers is
therefore maximized. Another benefit that researchers who have academically studied kitting
operations have noticed is that new staff training costs and acclimation periods are reduced.
Quality
Kitting can have a very positive upside when tracking product and part quality. Part damage, due to
less handling will usually drop. This is especially important if the parts are either expensive or
perishable. Another area where quality improves is tracing and correcting defects. Kitting provides the
opportunity to have quality control verification earlier, reducing the possibility of wrong parts or
incorrectly assembled components being used in the final product.
A Caveat: the Dark Side of Kitting
Before we move on, let s look at the dark side of kitting. Like the other best practices for warehouse
and inventory management that we ve already discussed, you ll love the benefits if it is done well.
Product quality will plummet if it is poorly implemented and issues such as making kits with missing
or incorrect parts results.
When Kitting Goes Sideways
We ve looked at the benefits. Now, lets look at some of the negative issues that can arise if your kitting
isn t working quite as well as planned.

Dietary Guidelines For The 2015 Community Health Needs...
When it comes to fruit and vegetable, accessibility and affordability are not the only factors that play a
role if someone will consume them. This can be depicted in the 2015 Community Health Needs
Assessment where of those who were surveyed, only 36.8% of adults in the medium to high income
level reported consuming the recommended daily fruit and vegetable intake. In the USDA s recently
released 2015 2020 dietary guidelines for Americans, the guidelines suggest that individual factors
such as knowledge, skills and personal preferences can also have an impact on if someone will eat
more fruits and vegetables (USDA, 2016). At some point in our lives, we are all taught that we should
eat fruits and vegetables because they are good for us. However, for some individuals, this is as far as
the education on the topic goes. Having a true understanding of why we need to eat fruits and
vegetables, what to look for when we go to buy them, how to store them when you bring them home,
and how to go about preparing them while keeping the nutritional benefits in tact are topics that can
help enhance an individual s likeliness to eat fruits and vegetables more regularly. In an effort to
increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding fruits and vegetables, local health departments,
health systems, community centers, and other local affiliates would come together to create a
Community Nutrition Education Program. This program would comprise of registered dietitians,

The Secret Scripture Analysis
Although the novel The Secret Scripture written by Sebastian Barry is constantly alternating between
past and present, the transition happens quickly and smoothly. This is due to the narrator s use of the
relationship with the past and what is happening during the present. What starts as the present bleeds
into the past through Roseanne s hidden biography. The way on page sixty, how she is in the past
remembering when her father was demoted to a rat catcher. Then page sixty one the reader is in the
present again, but it s not random. She is saying how clearly she remembers that day. Then on that
same page she jumps back to remembering how prideful her father was of his job in the cemetery. You

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,...
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, places autism in a more
extensive diagnostic bracket called autism spectrum disorder. This encompasses a range of autism
related disorders that vary in severity. It is one of the most severe, chronic, behavioral disorders of
childhood. Swiss psychiatrist Eugene Bleuler referred to autistic disorder as an unusual way of
thinking among people with schizophrenia. A more in depth explanation of autistic thinking is the
propensity to view oneself as the center of the universe. The inability to associate with others and
feeling like they live in their own worlds are some of the most descriptive characteristics of autism.

There is no cure for autism. Thorough behavioral programs that apply learning principles in the child s
environment can remarkably refine learning and language skills in autistic children. In 2013,
government researchers established that more than 1 million children total in the U.S. was affected by
some form of autism spectrum disorder. The evaluation is based on a widespread phone survey of

Another article articulates autism as lacking reciprocal action socially and limited, repetitive manners

Achoo Syndrome Research Paper
Have you ever sneezed two to four times or maybe 40 times when you went out for a walk, or when
you went to the picture studio to have your picture taken and just could not take a picture without
sneezing? Achoo Syndrome or Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio Ophthalmic Outburst
Syndrome is a condition that causes uncontrollable sneezing because of bright light or intense
sunlight. Achoo Syndrome is also known as photic sneezing which means too much sunlight or too
much light can cause a person to sneeze multiple times or maybe once. This syndrome is a dominant
trait so therefore if one parent has the syndrome there is 50% chance that their child could have it too.
Achoo syndrome has not been yet evidentially or clearly researched. Scientists do not understand how
sunlight or light flashes can cause a person to sneeze, every time a person is exposed to it. Some
researchers think Achoo syndrome is caused by a malfunction in the nerve which is connected to the
trigeminal nerve, and that could be connected to the visual nerve which makes people sneeze when
exposed to direct sunlight or light. Achoo syndrome affects about 18 35% of the population in the

Believe it or not there are such things as good and bad stress. Too much of either can lead to disorders
that can control our lives and can help spiral our lives out of control. These disorders can possibly, in a
sense, make us do things that we normally wouldn t do. It s almost like an altered uncontrollable state
of both mind and body. One of those stress disorders is called acute stress disorder. Acute Stress
Disorder, or ASD, is characterized by the development of severe anxiety, dissociative, and other
symptoms that occurs within one month after exposure to an extreme traumatic stressor. This disorder
was unfortunately the most common suffered by many people after the traumatic events of 9/11.
Another stress disorder that is commonly found among returning soldiers from war is called post
traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that can
develop following a traumatic event that threatens your safety or makes you feel helpless. Traumatic
events that can lead to PTSD include rape, a natural disaster, kidnapping, assaults, car or plane crash,
medical procedures especially in young children, and war. According to The National Institute of
Mental Health, women seem to be more susceptible to PTSD and have almost twice the risk of
developing PTSD. It s easy to talk about the major life changes and major stressors but the most of our

RAI Score Analysis
The new year has arrived and seniors have started their final year of high school. This means applying
for college, considering scholarships, and planning for the future has begun. These three things alone
have caused stress to many seniors. Completing a college application is typically the first of many
steps taken by seniors. Colleges look to see what a student can bring to the college, whether that be in

college to decide whether or not they can help the student be successful.
The application process alone is very time consuming. If a student were to apply to multiple colleges,

Nazi Death Camps
Imagine this: You are a Jew. You are loaded into a train car with several other people. It takes you to a

Many of the nazi death camps were part of Aktion Reinhard, (Operation Reinhard) a Nazi plan to kill
all of the 2 million Jews living in German occupied Poland (Treblinka). Most of the death camps used

The Hill By Sir William Drummond Stewart
In 1837, a wealthy Scottish nobleman named Sir William Drummond Stewart took Alfred Jacob
Miller on his outing to the Rockies. Stewart had previously been to the mountains in 1833. But due to
the failing health of his brother, Stewart thought that his journey into the American West might be his
last. So he hired Miller to pictorially record the journey. Hence, Miller became the first artist to cross
the continental divide at south past and thus, the first artist to portray the Rocky Mountains in great
detail. Stewart and Miller started out their journey from St. Louis and went across the plains of
Nebraska along the Platt River. [1] Stewart had hired Miller to paint pictures of their daily lives.
However, Miller being a son of a prosperous farmer and merchant was not accustomed to the
adversities of the journey and he quite often complained to Stewart about the hardships of the trail.
They were travelling 20 30 miles a day on their saddle so it was impossible for Miller to draw while
travelling. So, instead Miller began to sketch images with either pen or pencil during the noon hours
when they would have their large meal, as it required the least amount of time to dry before they

you are dressing as one of the undead, or an escaped asylum patient, this hair style works nicely. To
achieve this look, curl hair either with a curling iron or curlers. Be sure to keep the hair on your crown
straight. In fact, add mouse or flatten hair to exaggerate the look. Add bobby pins to your crown to
keep flat hair in place. Once you get hair curled, tease it so it isn t in neat curls. The idea is to create a

Compare And Contrast The Battle Of Cold Harbor Vs Gaines Mill
Cold Harbor vs. Gaines Mill Even though the battle of Gaines Mill took place at the same
battleground as the battle of Cold Harbor, the battle of Cold Harbor and the battle of Gaines mill were
not nearly the same. The battle of Gaines Mill was a battle fought in the Civil War. It took place on
June 27, 1862 in a small town located about 10 miles from Richmond. It lasted one to two hours. This
battle resulted in a Confederate victory. General Robert Lee commanded the Confederate army and
General George McClellan commanded the Union army. This town was so important to the Union
army that they tried capturing the same town two years later! It was important because they needed to
capture Cold Harbor in order to capture the Confederate capitol of Richmond, Virginia. The battle of
Cold Harbor was located in the same place as Gaines Mill. It took place on May 31 and ended on June
12. General Grant and his Union army went up against General Lee and his Confederate army. Lee
had won again. Grant and his army would have won the battle of Cold Harbor but his plan was ruined.
Grant had to postpone the battle to June third instead of June second because he needed to wait for
more troops to arrive. This gave Lee more time to get ready for the attack and the next day, the Union
army got slaughtered. These battles were not nearly the same because General George McClellan
commanded the Union troops in the battle of Gaines Mill and General Ulysses Grant commanded the
Union troops in

Now, we have forms of mass media, such as television, radio, and over the internet. One thing that has drastically changed is war. • 4. Elizabeth I s Reforms The English Reformation of the sixteenth century was one of the most drastic religious reforms in England. During this time, the Tudor Dynasty swept England from Roman Catholicism into the arms of Protestantism. However, such a massive change did not come without strife. The Tudor Dynasty began with King Henry VII. After defeating Richard III and ending the War of the Roses, Henry united the warring Lancaster and York factions under the Tudor Rose. Henry and his wife Elizabeth had four children: Arthur, Margaret, Henry, and Mary. After Henry VII s death, his firstborn son Arthur ascended to the throne and married his betrothed, Catherine of Aragon. Mere months after the marriage, Arthur died from illness. Henry VIII took his place and married the widowed Catherine (History.com Staff, Henry VIII ) Catherine bore three sons and three daughters, but only her daughter Mary survived. By the time Elizabeth s reign drew to a close, English citizens respected and loved their Church, seeing it as a cornerstone of their identity. The significance of this Protestant identity was carried into English culture as well: Protestant festivals replaced Catholic holidays, such as Elizabeth s day of accession, the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot, and the day England defeated the Spanish Armada ... Additionally, Nike has almost 800,000 workers in their contract supply chain. Nike estimates that 80 percent of these workers are women aged 18 to 24, many of whom are the first women in their families to work in the formal economy. After years of good publicity and increasing profits, Nike was hit by claims it was involved in unfair overseas labor practices. These include child labor, extreme low wages, and employee abuse. • 6. Symptoms Of Chikungunya Fever ( Chikf ) Chikungunya fever (CHIKF) is commonly found in urban areas of Southeast Asian and African countries. This disease was first identified in Tanzania in the early 1950s. Frequently, outbreaks of Chikungunya fever have only been described in South Asian and African countries, which are located in tropical and subtropical zones close to the equator. However, this does not stop the disease from traveling to other parts of the world. In 2007, there were 205 laboratory confirmed cases in Italy, making this the first outbreak in a temperate zone. Most cases of the disease tend to appear in densely populated areas, allowing efficient transmission of the pathogen. The first cases of Chikungunya fever in the Americas and Caribbean Islands were reported in late 2013. The causing agent of the Chikungunya fever is the Chikungunya virus (CHIKV). It is an enveloped virus with a positive polar single stranded RNA that belongs to the genus Alphavirus. These types of viruses are often transmitted to humans from mosquitoes infected with the viruses. Alphaviruses, including Sindbis virus (SINV) and Semliki Forest virus (SFV), are major contributors to the group of Arboviruses (arthropod borne viruses). Circulating mainly in a sylvatic, enzootic cycle, CHIKV occasionally spills over into human populations starting in rural areas with small outbreaks. Migration of infected individuals probably results in urban introduction. CHIKF is a zoonotic and vector borne disease. Its major transmission ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Character Analysis OfThe Mill On The Floss The sharp and unruly main character of The Mill on the Floss is Maggie Tulliver. She is a gell gone nine, at the outset of the story, the daughter of the miller Mr. Tulliver, and lives with her family on the banks of the Floss (Eliot 8, 9, 12). When Mr. and Mrs. Tulliver begin discussing the issue of Tom s education in their first conversation of the story, they segue into discussion of his sister. While Mrs. Tulliver derides Maggie for being unsensible, brown skinned, and altogether unlike her side of the family, Mr. Tulliver defends her, saying she s a straight, black eyed wench as anybody need wish to see. I don t know i what she s behind other folks s children; and she can read almost as well as the parson, (Eliot 12). Maggie s parents further describe her physiognomy for the reader later in this conversation. From Mrs. Tulliver s perspective, her daughter s hair exemplifies the issue with Maggie s character. But her hair won t curl all I can do with it... an there s her cousin Lucy s got a row o curls round her head, an not a hair out o place, Mrs. Tulliver frets (Eliot 12, 13). Maggie s mother feels that her daughter is a comical mistake, with her dark, heavy locks, air of a small Shetland pony, and likeness to a Bedlam creature, (Eliot 12, 13). Because of this dissatisfaction, Mrs. Tulliver is forever attempting to make her daughter more similar to herself and to other folks s respectable, curly haired children. Later in the story, Maggie s character is further established by juxtaposition to her brother Tom. Tom Tulliver differs from Maggie not only in appearance, but also in garnering motherly affection: Mrs. Tulliver continually speaks of him with great approbation and pride, greeting him as my sweet lad! on his return from school (Eliot 30). In addition to this contrast in affection, a contrast in physical character is evident between the siblings. Tom is described as a lad with light brown hair, cheeks of cream and roses, full lips, indeterminate nose and eyebrows... the generic character to boyhood, while Maggie is moulded and colored with the most decided intention, a dark eyed, demonstrative, rebellious girl, though it is noted that these physical appearances ... • 9. The Pursuit Of Freedom And Justice There Was A Hurricane In the Pursuit of Freedom and Justice there was a Hurricane In times of national discontent and social injustice, music is one of the leading forms of rebellion and storytelling. In 1975, Bob Dylan contributed to this rebellious storytelling narrative by creating Hurricane a song about the wrongful imprisonment of middleweight fighter Rubin Hurricane Carter. There is a common idea that the issues we face do not have the same magnitude the issues our predecessors faced. By assuming this idea, the implications of similar issues are ignored. The importance of this comparison relies on the magnitude of their influence. Their songs enlightened a variety of people about the daily dealings of corruption within our nation and enforced the need to fight for one another when the system proved treat the members of the society unfairly. The song Freedom by Beyoncé Knowles Carter created in 2016 discusses current struggles that African Americans are facing by being reduced to stereotypes that prevent unity and fairness and even includes a verse performed by rapper Kendrick Lamar specifying instances of racial tension that have affected him. Though both songs are written about wrongful imprisonment the purpose of their songs, the intended audience, and the use of expression differ. The contrast between the songs only elevate the notion that no two issues are exactly alike. After each song was created the awareness of wrongful imprisonment has accounted to the fight for justice ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I m sure the idea of a conscience preceded the Jews and probably went along with any group of people that had any kind of social rules. However, the Jews introduced a complex series of laws that would regulate nearly every aspect of your life, so the idea of sin became bigger, so the conscience would take on a larger role. For instance, the implementation of a strategy in a context different from where it has been created can be difficult, conflicts between subsidiaries and the headquarters can exist, or management of intercultural teams can be problematic. Walmart in Germany is a relevant example of the cultural context importance when it comes to HRM. In fact, in 1997 and 1998, Walmart acquired two companies in Germany but it was a failure. It can be explained by the fact that feedback of the employees was ignored by managers. For example, in the morning they had to do exercise while singing the name of the brand. This practice may be a morale booster in the United States but in Germany it was seen in a really bad way, such as the practice of spying on colleagues, what can surely be related to the country s history, among others examples. The US management practices was not in accordance with the German cultural context. Another benefit that researchers who have academically studied kitting operations have noticed is that new staff training costs and acclimation periods are reduced. Quality Kitting can have a very positive upside when tracking product and part quality. Part damage, due to less handling will usually drop. This is especially important if the parts are either expensive or perishable. Another area where quality improves is tracing and correcting defects. Kitting provides the opportunity to have quality control verification earlier, reducing the possibility of wrong parts or incorrectly assembled components being used in the final product. A Caveat: the Dark Side of Kitting Before we move on, let s look at the dark side of kitting. Like the other best practices for warehouse and inventory management that we ve already discussed, you ll love the benefits if it is done well. Product quality will plummet if it is poorly implemented and issues such as making kits with missing or incorrect parts results. When Kitting Goes Sideways We ve looked at the benefits. Now, lets look at some of the negative issues that can arise if your kitting isn t working quite as well as planned. An insufficient quantity of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 26. Dietary Guidelines For The 2015 Community Health Needs... When it comes to fruit and vegetable, accessibility and affordability are not the only factors that play a role if someone will consume them. This can be depicted in the 2015 Community Health Needs Assessment where of those who were surveyed, only 36.8% of adults in the medium to high income level reported consuming the recommended daily fruit and vegetable intake. In the USDA s recently released 2015 2020 dietary guidelines for Americans, the guidelines suggest that individual factors such as knowledge, skills and personal preferences can also have an impact on if someone will eat more fruits and vegetables (USDA, 2016). At some point in our lives, we are all taught that we should eat fruits and vegetables because they are good for us. However, for some individuals, this is as far as the education on the topic goes. Having a true understanding of why we need to eat fruits and vegetables, what to look for when we go to buy them, how to store them when you bring them home, and how to go about preparing them while keeping the nutritional benefits in tact are topics that can help enhance an individual s likeliness to eat fruits and vegetables more regularly. In an effort to increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding fruits and vegetables, local health departments, health systems, community centers, and other local affiliates would come together to create a Community Nutrition Education Program. This program would comprise of registered dietitians, nutritionists, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Achoo Syndrome or Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome is a condition that causes uncontrollable sneezing because of bright light or intense sunlight. Achoo Syndrome is also known as photic sneezing which means too much sunlight or too much light can cause a person to sneeze multiple times or maybe once. Achoo syndrome has not been yet evidentially or clearly researched. Scientists do not understand how sunlight or light flashes can cause a person to sneeze, every time a person is exposed to it. Some researchers think Achoo syndrome is caused by a malfunction in the nerve which is connected to the trigeminal nerve, and that could be connected to the visual nerve which makes people sneeze when exposed to direct sunlight or light. One of those stress disorders is called acute stress disorder. Acute Stress Disorder, or ASD, is characterized by the development of severe anxiety, dissociative, and other symptoms that occurs within one month after exposure to an extreme traumatic stressor. This disorder was unfortunately the most common suffered by many people after the traumatic events of 9/11. Another stress disorder that is commonly found among returning soldiers from war is called post traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that can develop following a traumatic event that threatens your safety or makes you feel helpless. Traumatic events that can lead to PTSD include rape, a natural disaster, kidnapping, assaults, car or plane crash, medical procedures especially in young children, and war.
