Mad Tiger (2015) by Michael Haertlein and Jonathan Yi Good band documentaries often aren t
about the music or back stage antics. They focus on the struggles of the band and their often
very normal lives. Mad Tiger is a film about a Japanese punk band called Peelander Z who live and
play in NYC. It s an intimate look of the relationship between two band members and if you read
between the lines you can see where their troubles start. Peelander Z reminds me a lot of the
band Gwar. If you don t know who Gwar is you likely aren t a metal head like I am but let me tell
you they claim to be from another planet, wear crazy costumes, play simple rock music, and often
spray the audience with fake blood and put on a very crazy gore filled stage show.... Show more
During all this turmoil we do see the band play a few small club gigs. Their music is nothing to
write home about, even Kengo says the band is based on 10% music and 90% theatre. I listened
to some of their songs and didn t like what I heard. I am not really a punk fan but it s easy to hear
that this band plays basic entry level silly sounding punk rock and doesn t focus on creating
anything interesting or original. The directors do a nice job of showing the two sides of the
band, it s self described Japanese action comic punk stage shows, and it s troubled relationships
and personal struggles. Filmmakers Michael Haertlein and Jonathan Yi have few directing
credits on IMBD but both are accomplished camera men. The cinematography in this doc at times

my primary pick for its popularity among Arab readers around the world. Some critics claim that
the novel is actually a true story of an Arab politician, who was a close friend of the author. The
author was actually a political figure for most of his life, we find almost all of his novels were
centered on the life and work of politicians. When I started to translate this novel, I faced several
obstacles ranging from linguistic, cultural, and political challenges. The setting of the novel was
not accurate to the real life. At the beginning, Yusuf Alfalaki arrived at the Saint James Palace to
meet the prime minister of the United Kingdom at his office. Most people know that the office of

Alice Munro s The Amber Of The Moment
Here we are, trapped in the amber of the moment. There is no why (Vonnegut 76 77). There are
notable depictions of a sense of entrapment among protagonists in works such as Alice Munro s
Dimension and Train. In these short stories, the central characters, Doree and Jackson suffer from
a sensation of feeling trapped, due to their life experiences, which ultimately leads them becoming
motivated to go onto the next chapter of their lives. There are overlapping themes and writing
styles in each story, therefore accentuating the similarities between the experiences of Doree and
Jackson, and bring the two stories closely together, evoking strong emotions and pathos within the
reader. Thematically, Munro shows parallel ones in both Dimension and Train, with the most
prominent ones being isolation, and relationships with family members and its affiliation with
sexuality and gender. Munro s writing style rings identical in both stories as well, as each one
incorporates the use of flashbacks, once again implementing a way to compare the characters, as
the flashbacks provide explanations for being emotionally confined. Lastly, a prominent technique
used is the way in which each story ends abruptly, stimulating a response in the reader of wanting
more to the story, as the endings both foreshadow a start to a new life, although Doree breaks free
whereas Jackson seemingly follows his cycle as a result from feeling trapped. Isolation is a theme

Odyssey, in Book VI elaborates on the idea that the Gods hand out fortune and pain to mortals,
primarily seen through the help Odysseus received in his successful odyssey home. The power of
the Greek Gods and Goddess is limitless as their powers are supernatural and can control the fate
of mortals. Divine intervention is used by Homer to emphasize how Odysseus, without the Gods
and Goddess help, would not have made it far into his journey back home to Ithaka. An example in
