Graded Christian Worldview
From This Christian s Worldview Part Two Genevieve M. Bogusky Liberty University Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to illuminate the various elements of research methods that are used
in the discipline of psychology. Aspects that are covered encompass several research designs as
reflected through the biblical figures of Adam, Noah, Daniel, and Melzar. In addition, the notion of
the program evaluation model of CIPP is also discussed through the personhood of Jethro, whose
fame had mainly come through being the father in law of Moses. Comprised within the concluding
remarks of this paper, the author not only provides a description of the impact that the analysis of
these selected passages has made on her in performing this task in... Show more content on

Noah: Genesis 6:12 22 Sadly, the Bible reports that nearly all of Adam s descendents had
corrupted their way upon the earth and lost their true direction (Gen. 6:12 Amplified Bible), and,
as a result of this intolerable situation, God told Noah that He had determined to make an end of
all flesh [as well as] destroy ... the land ... by [bringing] a flood of waters upon the earth (Gen.
6:13, 17). After the Holy Creator had uttered this apocalyptic intent, He proceeded to provide
Noah with instructions on how he was to build an ark, which included information on a list of
vital materials (Gen. 6:14), some details on the manner they were to be used (Gen. 6:14), basic
blueprints of its structure (Gen. 6:14, 16), and, what measurements the floating vehicle was to
have when it was completed, which Scriptures report was to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide,
and 30 cubits high (Gen. 6:15). In order for Noah to be obedient to His Heavenly Father s plan
however, he must have not only known where to get the building supplies that he had need of, as
well as, been quite deft in knowing how to use them, he also had to have the knowledge of the
ratio scale of measurement so he could perform the task. Though it is evident that Noah was
cognizance of other scales of measures, he choose this particular one because it was the only one
that had the property of

Physics Of Physics Regarding Light Rays
I have always been interested in the way light travels, not just in how, but also in all the other
factors that affect the light rays, including the speed, the velocity, the distance, as well as others.
In my past years of school, I had been able to explore areas of physics concerning light rays, as part
of my physics course. However, I had previously only learned the basic principles, such as the laws
of refractionand reflection. Because I chose to focus on Chemistry and Biology, I was not given
the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject, and had only obtained basic understanding of it.
Although I knew of the principles and what they represented, I did not become fully aware of the
fact that the principles were based off of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, we want the light to bounce off a mirror or to pass through a piece of glass on its way
from A to B. Fermat s principle states that of all the possible paths the light might take, that satisfy
those boundary conditions, light takes the path which requires the shortest time.
(A more accurate statement of Fermat s principle: Any hypothetical small change in the actual path
of a light ray would only result in a second order change in the optical path length. The first order
change in the optical path length would be zero.)
Consider the diagram on the right. We want light to leave point A, bounce off the mirror, and get to
point B. Let the perpendicular distance from the mirror of both A and B be d and the shortest
distance between the points be D. Assume that light takes the path shown. The length of this path is
then:
Since the speed of light is the same everywhere along all possible paths, the shortest path requires
the shortest time. To find the shortest path, I differentiated L with respect to x and set the result
equal to zero. (I did this in order to yield an extremum/minimum in the function or the derivative of
L(x).) And thus obtained the value of the least amount of time.
After canceling equal terms on both sides I was left with:
or
The path that takes the shortest time is the one for which x=D/2, or equivalently, the one

Substituting Pain for Passion in Peter Shaffer’s Equus Essay
Equus is as complex as the human mind. Exploring psychological questions such as what does it
mean to be normal, and should individuality be sacrificed for the sake of normality? Whilst
propelling a mystery, crime story, and a psychological thriller, Peter Shaffer s Equus examines the
minds of a young stable boy who has blinded several horses and the aging psychiatrist asked to
cure him. But would a cure really normalize the teenager?
A seventeen year old boy, Alan is brought to a psychiatric hospital because he has blinded six
horses with a hoof pick. Dysart, a psychiatrist, works to normalize the boy, feeling that as he
makes the boy safe for society, he is taking away his worship and sexual vitality, both of which are
missing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Dysart envies Alan s passion for horses, a type of passion that he knows he will never feel, he
questions his livelihood as a healer. He is healing nothing by removing the boys worship and faith.
Is it right or worthwhile to try to normalize Alan when what others consider his infatuation with
horses, he considers his religion.
Dysart: What am I trying to do to him? Hesther: Restore him, surely? Dysart: To what? Hesther: A
normal life. Dysart: Normal? Hesther: it still means something. Dysart: Does it? page 47*
Shaffer employs to the reader that there is a place in society for eccentric, different, individual,
passionate and nonconformist people, Alan s own parents are the prime example. Alan s
background includes a fanatically religious mother who is polarized by a socialistic atheist father
who opposes television. Alan s father s distaste with television is further contradicted by his mother
s allowance of the television medium to play a significant role in Alan s life.

What Are The Causes Of The Battle Of Gettysburg
The battle of Gettysburg was a very strong army. Lee the leader led his army in its second
invasion of the north. With his army in good spirits lee wanted to collect supplies in Pennsylvania

to make the north s appetite for war not wanted. Joseph hooker moved his union army of the

The Basics of Toilet Training Essay
The process of toilet training may be considered the most challenging process that parents
encounter with their child during the early stages of his or life. Toilet training can be described as
an individualized developmental process that all children will progress at their own developmental
pace and temperament, not the child s chronological age. Toilettraining should be a natural result
of the child s developmental readiness. Therefore the primary goal can only be achieved when the
child is ready and willing. Just like any learning process for a child, including toilet training, it
effects the development of the whole child and it is important that the child has the necessary
physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills to begin.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the toilet training process, a child must obtain body awareness and be able to associate
bodily sensation to the result that follows, poop or pee. Then after he masters that skill he must
acquire the certain skills that will allow him to picture what he wants to do (use the toilet), create a
plan to get here, begin using it, and remain in place long enough to finish, which requires both
memory and concentration (Wolraich 26). The next and probably most difficult readiness sign a
parent must recognize before starting the toilet training process is emotional growth.
There are many emotional issues that can greatly affect toilet training that include a eagerness
for independence, a child s need for control, testing of rules and limits, desire to win parents
approval, and fears of toilet use. If a child resists the idea of using the toilet when mentioned he
may be experiencing an emotional issue and the parent should wait for a better time to follow
through with the process. If the child is continually repeating signs of resistance a parent may
want to rethink if it is too soon to begin the process and understand that the child may be going
through a major change in the his life that is creating stress. Parents should know that it is not the
best time to toilet train when a new baby is expected soon or has recently arrived, the family has
newly moved, the child has just

A New Research And Development Group
HACKD, LLC s move to launch a new research and development group christened, CWE is a
welcome move for the organization to streamline research operations, and to develop innovative
products and services. The proposed CWE group systems are expected to run on the Ubuntu Linux
15.04 operating system that will access and share resources with the MicrosoftActive Directory
(AD) domain at HACKD, LLC. The AD domain comprises several servers running Windows
Server 2012 R2 providing various services such as DHCP, DNS, file sharing, Microsoft Active
Directory, printing and web services. HACKD, LLC also has a mix of about 500 desktop and
laptop computers running on the Windows XPand Windows 7client operating systems. According to
the Windows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of the CWE group systems implementation, the minimum system requirements for
running Ubuntu 15.04 will be used to determine whether new hardware will be purchased, or
whether current systems running Windows XP will be migrated to Ubuntu. The Ubuntu 15.04
operating system is distributed on two types of bootable images i.e. 32 bit and 64 bit PC
images. The 64 bit (AMD64) desktop image is built to cater for systems based on the EM64T
and AMD64 architectures such as Core 2, EM64T Xeon, and Athlon64. For 64 bit processor not
manufactured by AMD, or when full support for 32 bit applications is required, the 32 bit (i386)
desktop image is recommended. The 32 bit image is designed for almost all PC systems and
includes computers with AMD/Intel processors, almost all machines capable or running Microsoft
Windows operating system offerings. In fact, the 32 bit version of the Ubuntu 15.04 desktop image
is recommended when organizations/users are unsure of which version to use
(Releases.ubuntu.com, 2015).
Another issue to consider on the hardware aspect regards the minimum system requirements
required to run Ubuntu 15.04. The Table 1 below shows the minimum system requirements for
Ubuntu 15.04 compared to the current system specifications for machines running Windows XP.
The third Requirements met column specifies whether the current Windows XP hardware meets
the minimum requirements for installing Ubuntu 15.04. Ubuntu 15.04 Minimum System

The Power Of Desire In A P By John Updike
Within the story A P by John Updike, the main character Sammy is portrayed as a shy optimistic
young teenager working at a grocery store. But a sudden life changing event happens and
Sammy takes charge just as anyone else would. Three pretty young girls walk into the grocery
store, in only bathing suits, just as any guy would feel the urge to stare or even talk to them, he
takes action by sticking up for them as they are getting thrown out of the store resulting in him
quitting his job. This action we see would be the power of desire which is the theme throughout
this story. In society today we tend to see lots of people especially teens afraid to stickup for what
they believe in. With the power of desire, it builds up confidence, shows maturity in the coming
of ages, and it even proves you can do what you believe in. If everyone had this much confidence
like Sammy, our world may be a stronger place. Being confident is very essential in life and it is
something many people tend to lack for many reasons. Some could be self conscious in physical
appearance or even believe they are not good enough. This strong confidence is strongly shown in
the story based on the girl s appearances. For example, The sheep pushing their carts down the
aisle the girls were walking against the usual traffic (not that we have one way signs or anything)
were pretty hilarious. You could see them, when Queenie s white shoulders dawned on them, kind
of jerk, or hop, or hiccup, but their eyes

Boyz Two Eras
When looking at the shift from the two eras, I think Boyz II Men plays a good middleman. As
an artist who played in both eras, Boyz II Men s music provides us with a looking glass to see
not only the change in the genre as a whole, but also the changing of his music as the eras shift.
Today, Boyz II Men are one of the last harmonizing R B groups still left in the genre today, which
is unknown to many people, including me, who frequently listens to the genre. For most music
lovers, Boyz II Men s songs like I ll Make Love To You and It s So Hard To Say Goodbye were well
known songs that presented the music of the 90s. It was harmonized together, it was soulful in
nature, it provided deep reflection into the words of the song, and the music

Rationalism In Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales
The duration of the novels, the characters are seen lamenting their pasts and longing for a future,
ready for whatever seems to be awaiting them. The journey that the pilgrims takes and the
stories they tell attempts to reconcile their purpose for the journey. At the same time they
reconcile their pasts, and not just their pasts but also the past of humanity. The underling issue
of the novel is that the characters are unable to properly grieve for their pasts and it is ultimately
recreated in an odd, intergalactic colonialism that causes a war. To begin, Pearl is a poem that is
contemporary to Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales of which this novel is loosely based on. But
Pearl is a dream vision/debate poem about a father who laments the death of his daughter. He
falls asleep and has a vision of her as a queen in heaven. They debate about rationalism, but
ultimately the debate does not have a real conclusion that comes to a satisfactory end. The
emphasis of the poem is that all things are rational through faith whether or not the individual
understands. There are multiple dialogues like this in Hyperion. The Bikura have dialogues like
this on two occasions, once after they killed Tuk and again while figuring out what to do with
DurГ© after he snuck off to the Cleft. When DurГ© aske why they killed Tuk, they gave no

In 1945, Chile became a charter member of the United Nations. The post world war Г©poque
bought a lot of political and economic uproar to the people of Chile as communist and Christian
democrat parties were fighting steadily to claim governmental power.
In continuance, during the 1960 s, a Christian democrat majority finally formed the government
but was not able to stabilize the nation. The discontent of the people subsided in 1970 with the
election of Salvador Allende, who promised full nationalization of all basic industries and banks.
He was the first President of the western world that was chosen according to a communist program
in a non Communist country. But opposition and resistance to his socialist policy was strong, both
inside and outside the country, as the U.S. supported his Allende s opponents financially and
ideology wise. In 1973 Allende was removed from power in a military coup, where he allegedly
committed suicide.
Following Allende, the notorious Pinochet regime seized power. Under his rule, the Constitution,
Congress and political parties were dissolved. Thousands of political opponents were arrested,
executed, tortured or simply disappeared . Augosto Pinochet, a military general, became President
and stayed in office until 1990 when he resigned as President. He remained involved, however, as

Mobile Phones Research Paper
The world today is filled with all different type of smart phones and tablets. Technology is
developing fast and we don t know where this will leave web designers and developers and how
will they proceed in the future. As attached to our phones we are its hard to imagine how young
the technology of smartphones really are. In 1908 the first apparent wireless device came when
Prof. Albert Jahnke and the Oakland Transcontinental Aerial Telephone and Power Company
believed they had industrialized a wireless telephone. Sadly they were accused of fraud. Later
the charge was dropped and production of the device never proceeded. In 1918, German railroad
systems started to test their own wireless phones on their military trains. Trials began in 1924
and a year later Zugtelephonie A.G. was established to supply train telephony equipment with
the first telephone systems being accepted for use in postal and other trains by 1926. On June
17, 1946 the first truly mobile phone service appeared on June 17, 1946 under Bell Labs, which
industrialized mobile phones that endorsed users to place and receive phone calls from their
automobiles. Martin Cooper, a research executive at Motorola to Joel S Engel of Bell Labs, made
the first mobile phone calls from a handheld device on April 3, 1973. That first handheld phone,
1G (First genereation), was 10 inches long and weighed about 2.5 pounds. The prototype presented
30 minutes of talk time on a single charge and took 10 hours to recharge. The

Summary Of Robin Lakoff s Language And Woman s Place
In Robin Lakoff s Language and Woman s Place the author Robin tells us her side of the inequity
that women face. She wants to see what she can conclude from her experiences. In this article she
tells us about her first hand accounts of this through introspection (Lakoff 46). Robin tells us about
what language use can tell us about the nature of inequality (Lakoff 45). The author also talks
about the subservient functions of women and the roles that sexes play in society (Lakoff 45).
Robin wants to know if anything can be done for this cause or is this what our society has destined
for women (Lakoff 46). Robin talks about how tag questions avoid coming into conflict about the

This appeals to the rhetorical strategy ethos. This helps pull the reader s attention in and makes
them believe the claims she is making. Having first hand accounts of this experience allows her
article to connect with the readers so they know what she has gone through. The audience can see
the author s credibility through this making it more believable. Showing us her side of the story
lets us know that these problems are real. Explaining to the audience examples of this in everyday
life and language makes the audience feel like something must be done. The author explains to us
that many women are subject to subservient functions (Lakoff 46). The roles the sexes play in
society have a determination in how they are treated Robin states (Lakoff 46). She tells us about
her first hand experiences of this, which cause the reader to sympathize for her (Lakoff 46). The
author thinks that we will find two different ways of discrimination women face in language. The
author explains the way that women are taught to use language and the way that general language
treats them (Lakoff 46). This is where the reader starts to see the problems that women may face.
The rhetorical strategy ethos used helps the reader feel for her cause as if it were happening to
them first hand. This makes the reader aware of what is going on. At this point the audience can

Tale Of An Hour By John Kasmer Analysis
As the tale starts out, she was under the oppressive control of her husband and did not have a
personality of her own. What John wanted, John got, and that was the way it had always been.
The narrator was ensnared under her husband s crude ideals, with no say in the matter, and
having an imagination as well as a creative thought process was the polar opposite of her
significant other. Kasmer claims that this lifestyle and sense of servitude prevented the protagonist
from being able to try to express her feelings and voice her opinions to her husband (Kasmer 7). It
discouraged her from being a unique individual. As you read the tale, her language and tone reflect
this; constantly referring to herself as one which creates an eerie ...echo of anonymity... (Golden
195). She has fallen into the typical stereotype as being intellectually inferior to a 19th century male.

Whenever she voices a concern, he merely plays it off as nothing important. For instance, when she
mentioned something was queer about the house, John simply says, ...was a draught, and [to] shut
the window (Gilman 469) Another example of the spouse not giving her opinion a second thought
was when the narrator wanted to do the rest cure in another room of the summer mansion that was
much prettier and welcoming than the nursery (Gilman 470). In spite of the wife s request, the
husband holds firm to his decision and sends her upstairs. The barred windows in the nursery
represents the narrator s captivity not only her husband, but by society s overwhelming oppression
towards women while the nursery represents what society thinks about how to treat a woman; they
are to be treated like mere children that need constant supervision since they cannot think for
themselves (MacPike 287).

This essay discusses how advertisement effects people s lives
As Americans we are exposed to advertisements everyday. People are pressured from every
direction by advertisements which exploit their deepest fears, attractions, needs, and desires,
shaping their behaviors, goals, and thoughts. They are led into believing false information and
promises that are mostly never kept, all for the simple reason of selling the product and making
profit. We see advertisements everywhere in magazines and newspapers, on the radio, on TV,
online, in the mail, even over the phone. These advertisements use the basic ideas of either
providing an elite status with the possession of the product, or giving a sense of belonging to a
group or community. Since the recent military activity in Iraq and Afghanistan, another... Show

The whole patriotic theme is strange because the connection between patriotism and the product
does not make the product function better, so why do we feel obligated to pay attention to the
advertisement and even purchase that product.
Along with patriotism another concept used widely is the elitism the product brings to people
with its possession. As Jack Solomon wrote in his essay Masters of Desire, We Americans dream
of rising about the crowd, of attaining a social summit beyond the reach of ordinary citizens (1).
He is basically saying that Americans want to be better then the people around them and this belief
is what marketers feast on, creating status symbols like Rolex, Mercedes, BMW, etc. One
advertisement that crosses my mind in terms of using elitism would be the new U2 iPod Special
Edition advertisement. This promotes an iPod with a black cover and laser engraved signatures
of the U2 band members; everything else is similar to a regular iPod; whereas, the price is $50
more. People are led into believing that the U2 iPod is better than the regular one only because it
is endorsed by U2. Another ironic detail is that a normal iPod itself is a product of elitism, because
even though it has similar functions to a Sony or any other MP3 player, it costs $100 more only
because it comes with the signature white headphones. These headphones, unique only because an
iPod come equipped with them, have made themselves and the iPod a status symbol. Most

Choosing A Career At Young Age
Imagination is everything. It is the preview of lifeВґs coming attractions. (Albert Einstein)
Choosing a career at young age expands the imagination in oneВґs mind. At the age of five, my
imagination was expanding because that was all I thought about. Growing up to me meant there
would be plenty of responsibilities that would have to be taken care of. This is something that our
parents teach us while growing up. What is more important of those teachings is the significance. If
you can pursue any career path, then do it without the ideas of others. This is what I did. The
actions of others affect your thoughts. My elementary and middle schoolyears changed my
perspective of how my life would be while growing up. I experienced bullying and behaviors that
left me surprised. There were careless teachers, rude comments of how I would grow up to be,
and the words, You will never be good enough unspoken, but still meant. I would just think this
was normal, but it would continue for years. Then bad things turn for the good. I was given the
opportunity to start over by going to a new school. There I was exposed to the career of Criminal
Justice. This is where I had my mind set. The past years of bullying affected my way of making
decisions. I felt like I had to run my decisions through somebody. That somebody were my parents.
Each one of our parents dream of their childВґs future, so I was hoping we both had the same
thoughts. After being at my new school for one year, I

that he had become the oldest, most prehistoric and well preserved mummyin the world, not since

He also stuffed grass into his boots to keep himself warm. Konrad Spindler was the one who
suggested that theory, he also suggested that the cause of death was a natural disaster, Otzi had
laid out his belongings into separate places, and then he had rested, and never woke ever again.
It was assumed that while he was resting, a sudden storm had come and he had died of
hypothermia which is said to be a painless death, then shortly after his death, the glacier had
collapsed on top of him, Otzi was a victim of the weather (Spindler), which also was the probably
the reason why his body and equipment was still so well preserved, and why it remained
untouched throughout the years. Otzi was assumed to have died in autumn because that was
when the shepherds would take their flocks of sheep up into the Alps, and they had used a
microscopic analysis to find out what he had eaten, Otzi s last meal had consisted of dried
wheat, bread, and some meat, what was surprising, was that was also traces of pollen in the
food. The pollen was acted as a Fingerprint for each season (Spindler), because flowers and plants
usually pollinated in autumn. After looking at what Otzi s diet had been, the scientists looked
inside Otzi using X Rays and Cat Scans; they saw that Otzi s ribs were severely distorted, so
Spindler came up with the disaster theory . In which Otzi was believed to be a shepherd who
came back to his village in autumn and somehow got into a quarrel or

Women And Women s Political Status
Traditionally, politics has been a gendered occupation. Men and women have been socially
constructed to believe only men are capable of political representation. The problem lies within an
institutional bias, where unnatural distinctions have been put in place from a young age. In New
Zealand, the presence and contribution of women have been pivotal to the make up of
contemporary party politics. Achieving parliamentary recognition and political representation
peaked during the 1970s when the country was experiencing large changes in its economic and
social environment. Through activism and pressure groups, women were able to seek recognition
in New Zealand s political domain. The change to Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) eased the
access of different political groups to parliament, improving the representation of minority groups
such as women that have been under represented in politics. Proportional representationoffered new
opportunities in terms of policy change through women s political participation. It has, however,
been argued that the structure of proportional representation has been a hindrance toward a
significant step forward for women s political participation. This essay will discuss to what extent
the contribution of women through time, coupled with the shift to a new electoral system in a
changing social environment, has been a step forward for women s political participation in New
Zealand party politics.

Athens V Sparta
Athens vs. Sparta
The Greek city states of Athens and Sparta were similar in that they both denied women basic
rights, but they are more different because of their culture and political structures. In both city
states, their social structures featured women as minorities. However, their customs and concepts
differ tremendously. Generally, Spartahad a very strict military based state, while Athens focused
on the fine arts. Politically, the two city states differed in that Athens had a democracy and Sparta
had an oligarchy. Although the city states had some similarities, they had vast differences.

Although Athens had a stronger navy, the Athenians spent more time making their city beautiful. In
Athens, they used League money to rebuild their city. They spent a lot of time and money to ensure
that they pleased the gods by creating statues, buildings and art. Athens focused on making music
and poetry while Sparta did not. This is important because both city states influenced other states in
Greece by providing examples of art and military techniques. Overall, Spartans focused in
maintaining a powerful military force while Athenians focused on more artistic causes.
The two Greek city states of Athens and Sparta were similar in that they both had social societies
that favored men. Both civilizations didn t believe women were equal to men as well. On the other
hand, their cultures were very different. Sparta had a main goal of a strong military while Athens
focused on art and music. Politically, Athens had a democracy and Sparta had an oligarchy. It is
important for us to study the similarities and differences between the two city states because it will
enhance our understanding of how Athens was eventually defeated by Sparta. Clearly, Sparta and
Athens had more differences than they did attributes in common.

What Is The Difference Between Chris Langan And Robert...
Chris Langan and Robert Oppenheimer are both profound and intelligent authoritative figures, but
other than smarts they could not be more different. For example, Gladwell illustrates the early lives
of the men by detailing: Langon and Oppenheimer, both with very high IQs, both ran into problems
during college, Langon s mom forgot to fill out paperwork resulting in him losing his scholarship to
college, while Oppenheimer tried to poison his tutor resulting in merely just psychiatric treatment
(98). Langan had a very unfortunate childhood with not many opportunities to share his intelligence
with the world. On the other hand, Oppenheimer was supported morally and financially by his
parents, sent to the right schools and constantly given the benefit of the doubt when he caused
trouble. One of the reasons Oppenheimer unlike Langan was so successful due to his practical
intelligence or charm and savvy that allowed him to get his way. Chris Langan and Robert
Oppenheimer are both geniuses but Oppenheimer s practical intelligence gave him opportunities for

Rough Draft (4pgs)
Title: Sex Education and Birth Control should be enforced to prevent Teenage Pregnancies
Approximately one million teens get pregnant and give birth every year in the United States. Eighty
percent of those births are to unmarried teens (ProQuest Staff) . Teenage Pregnancyis when a
mentally immature female adolescent under the age of nineteen is pregnant. Pregnant Teenagers
would have to face many consequences and problems because they are physically and mentally
unprepared to have babies. The teenagers futures would be limited because they would have to
quit high school to care for their babies and it have been proven that the adolescents would
mostly be poor when they become adults. They would also be prone to health problems like high
blood pressure, premature birth, postpartum depression, STDs, etc. The teenagers would not be
the only that would be affected, their babies would also be affected because it might be born
premature and there is a high possibility that he or she would have a low birth rate. Most children
that were born by teenagers do worse in school than other children born from adults. Teenage
Pregnancy should be prevented because it does not have any positive affects to the people in the
United States. It could be prevented by enforcing sex education and birth controls because it would
make adolescents more aware about the consequences and the birth pills would stop unsafe sex and

Casual Sex
People who are not in a committed relationship also known as hookups or friends with benefits. The
controversial issue of casual sex are adverse effects of hookups may consist of emotional
entanglement, psychological harm, sexual violence, sexually transmitted infections, and or
unplanned pregnancy. People who have experience hook up behavior has linked with a variety of
mental health factors (Garcia, 2013). Additionally, although some individuals are having casual sex,
not all enjoy being in that type of relationship. Which may cause some to have low self esteem,
anxiety, and feeling of being pressured and discomfort (Paul et al., 2000). As a result feeling guilty
and resentment. Women were more likely to feel guilt and have negative feelings than men (Garcia,
2013). These negative sense of guilt and resentments may connect to individuals wanting a more
intimate and committed relationship.
Today s casual sex culture and sexual risk may consist of adverse outcomes, as well as, emotional
and psychological harm, sexually transmitted infections, sexual violence, and unintended
pregnancy, despite the ubiquity of certain positive feelings.

How Color And The Affects It Has On The Human Brain
Color is any hue, tint, or shade of light that can be separated as in a spectrum or rainbow as defined
by the Oxford English Dictionary. There have been many studies concerning color and the affects it
has on the human brain. According to Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, a eighteenth century writer,
each colorevokes a different emotion or sensation, which can be seen and studied using a prism, the
grand instrument in the experimental field of research into light. So why does color matter in
marketing? In a recent study, researchers found that 92.6% of people put most importance on visual
factors when purchasing products, (Morton). A key factor to visual composition is color choices,
pairings, schemes, and the emotions and feelings each of those colors evoke.
The human brains reaction to color is called color psychology. Marketers consider the meaning
behind each color when designing merchandise packaging, and consumers choose certain products
because they find the packaging to be appealing, and subconsciously playing into the plans of the
companies. The history and study of color has presented a plethora of information regarding the
important role color plays in everyday life. The scientific reasoning behind color psychology has
yet to be specified due to the wide variety of factors that could affect the results, such as personal
preference, personal history, and environmental conditions. Although marketers might not consider
such specific details of color psychology, there

Importance Of Birth Registration In Nigeria
The vital registration system of birth registration in Nigeria is weak. Although birth registration is
required under Nigerian law, only about 30% of all children in Nigeria are officially registered.
Birth registration is recognized as a human right and is greatly associated with the social
determinants of health. A child who does not get registered at birth faces threats to their safety,
health and welfare.
The health workforce and information system building blocks of Nigeria s health system pose
challenges to ensuring universal birth registration. There is currently a health workforce crisis in
Nigeria and there are not enough human or financial resources to register Nigeria s large youth
population. In addition, the information system is inefficient and unnecessarily bureaucratic.
Currently, the NPC uses a paper based multi step system that is highly inefficient. There is also a
general lack of awareness of the birth registration requirement, importance and benefits in Nigeria.
The program presented in this grant proposal aims to address these bottle necks by implementing a
nationwide mobile vitals registration system in conjunction with training CHWs in rural areas to
educate community members about birth registration and forming village registries that can be
used to register births with the NPC. Mobile vital registration systems have been successfully
implemented in Uganda and Tanzania. Furthermore, birth registration rates were significantly
increased in Ghana

Holbein s Portrait Of George Gisze Analysis
Based on this week s assigned chapter, West, Introduction, answer these questions.
1.What does West say about the space in Holbein s portrait of George Gisze? What is in the space
and what is the contradiction she sees between the things and the figure?
Holbein s portrait is one that contains many contradictions. The composition is somewhat
confusing, for it is a meticulously detailed painting; yet, the painting is riddled with perspectival
impossibilities. The space surrounding Gisze is cluttered with objects that look entirely out of place
in the portrait. These objects, so carefully rendered, are at odds with each other, and the
surrounding area. The sitter is depicted in a most uncomfortable manner; each part of his body is
oddly positioned. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most often, the function of the portrait determined the status of portraits. For instance, when a
portrait was a likeness of an important historical figure, it was thought to be of higher status. If a
portrait was of a funerary nature, its status would probably be considered to be lower because its
subject could be considered to be of less importance. During the Renaissance and the years that
followed, the portrait s status became less highly regarded as this led to a democratization of
portraits. Before this, it was far less common for those with low income or rank to be able to sit
for a portrait. As artists began to focus on simply being portraitists, it allowed for more people to

Kierkegaard s An Age Of Dispassionate Reflection
Soren Kierkegaard, in his essay, the Present Age, writes about two ages the passionate age and the
present age: an age of dispassionate reflection. Kierkegaard believes the present age to be centered
on reflection (deliberation, representation, anticipation), which substitutes for decisive action. The
present age, according to Kierkegaard is characterized by an unhappy objectivity, in which the
individualhas become leveled down and loses himself as part of a crowd. One aspect of this
unhappy objectivity is that our age is an age of reflection rather than of passion. Kierkegaard
suggests, the most dangerous, if also the most respectable of all diseases is to admire in public
what is considered unimportant in private since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is dangerous because in the act of doing so, we lose our true selves in the process.
Kierkegaard strongly believes in the idea of individuality. If individuals (as individuals) take it upon
themselves to experience first hand meaningful action and informed opinion (which is risky) they
will gain something precious. Yet, many would rather stay in the safety (and effortlessness) of the
public and live meaninglessly.
Kierkegaard uses the example of the skater to demonstrate his assertion of the most dangerous of
all diseases . The skater, on a frozen lake with dangerously thin ice, sees a jewel in the distance.
In the passionate age, he argues, the public would cheer and support the skater as he made
efforts to reach the jewel. They would worry for him and show concern at any sign of danger.
However, in an age absent of passion, the crowds would agree on the fact that it was
unreasonable and not worthwhile to engage in such a dangerous activity. In addition, they would
praise themselves for being clever and practical for figuring this out. The qualities of being daring
and enthusiastic for something an individual may be passionate about is malformed into a feat of
skill, in which people are encouraged to surrender to the most dangerous of all diseases : to admire

Low germination rates reduce crop density, which results in indirect yield loss. Late emergence
can result in poor plant performance and a direct yield loss [4], because roots are inadequately
established and have less access to water and nutrients during later stages of vegetative and
reproductive growth. Our knowledge of the regulation of seed germination has developed greatly in
recent times, yet understanding of the genetic and mechanical basis for seed vigour differences is
limited. By enhancing the seedling vigour trait, the agricultural industry might attain a remarkable
advancement and increment in plant development. Seed vigour contributes directly to the
economic success of commercial crops (Finch Savage, 1995) and seed companies therefore need
to have the means to obtain a reliable estimate of seed vigour in order to be able to supply
growers with seed lots of high vigour. This will increase the margin of profit by reducing cost of
production and increasing productivity. Thus, seed vigour, if enhanced, will result in substantial
savings. Keeping in view the above information, this paper will be beneficial in determining the
genetic and mechanical basis of seed vigour.

Meaning Behind the Painting, The Battle of Alexander at Issus
The Battle of Alexander at Issus is Albrecht Altdorfer s most famous painting
(www.wikipedia.org). Painted in 1528 9, the oil painting depicts a young Alexander the Great in
333 BC, at the point of victory over the Persian army of King Darius III in the battle of Issus
(www.ibiblio.org). Issus was an ancient town in southeast Asia Minor near modern day
Iskenderum, Turkey, however on the painting it is shown in the rocky environment of the Alps
with German cities in the background (www.ibiblio.org). Altdorfer, a painter, engraver, architect,

The Battle of Issus, is atypical in his work, in both its size and subject matter (ww.wikipedia.org).
The painting is made up of a number of miniatures of battle scenes he had done much earlier for
his manuscript Triumphal Procession in 1512 14 (www.wikipedia.org). He signed the painting
with a monogram in the lower left hand corner, dating it 1529, and also inscribed it: Albrecht
Altorfer Zu Regenspvrg Fecit on the bottom edge of the banner panel in the sky
(www.wikipedia.org). Despite the grandeur of scale, Altdorfer displays a miniaturist s mastery of
brush stoke, with every tiny figure rendered in exacting detail (Phaidon 409). The topographic
landscape was imaginatively adapted by Altdorfer from a map of the lands around the
Mediterranean and stretches as far as the Nile Valley (Phaidon 409). Behind the huge armies are the
mountains of Asia Minor in the front of the Mediterranean Sea and Cyprus (www.wikipedia.org). In
the background are Palestine, Sinai, the Red Sea, and Africa with the meandering Nile River
heading for the Nile Delta in front of the gently bent horizon and the dramatic setting sun

Motivation development is through many of the sources providing external as well as internal
aspects if we focus on the internal aspects then recognition might one of the important factors and
this is realized when the employer evaluates the employee on his tasks regularly on the other hand
recognition is also through the fact that responsibility is added to the defined tasks of the
employees in a way recognizing the importance of employees indirectly by enriching the job.
Resulting output would be improved output and motivation development although this might not
be always a necessary case at times enrichment might not be a success factor and may be a
failure. This attempt has shown both types of results and we after studying core ten empirical
studies literature review we conclude the following studies proving how successful job enrichment
has been, although our study focuses on one of the initial theories of Job Characteristics Model.
Only five factors out of the original model of Hackman Oldham have been selected as clarified in
the Theoretical Framework. We categorize our literature review according to different prospects of
findings based on Job Enrichment as a motivation factor.

The Mission Of The American Counseling Association ( Aca )
The mission of the American Counseling Association (ACA) According to the Counseling.org
website, the ACA s mission is to enhance the quality of life in society by promoting the
development of professional counselors, advancing the counseling profession, and using the
profession and practice of counseling to promote respect for human dignity and diversity . I
interpret this as a wide array of assurances, through continuing education and enlightenment of
counselors, and then the quality of services is improved upon by dedication. The ACA started out
as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), and it originated because so
many professional counselors were dissatisfied that they did not fit to the subscription of
contemporary styles of mental health professionals (Palmo, Weikel Borsos, 2006). The
advancement of the counseling profession began when the term professional counselor was
recognized as a profession. It continues to grow through research and theory developments that
have proven to positively impact the lives of the client professional counselors see. How the ACA
defines professional counseling The ACA defines professional counseling as a professional
relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health,
wellness, education, and career goals (ACA, 2010). This is not the first recognized definition of
professional counseling; however, as I understand it in its current state, this is a relationship

The Republicans have used the voting rights laws to create gerrymandered bleached white districts

minorities will not generally vote for white democrats if a black is running. Hence the complete
control of both houses of the legislature by the radical Republicans. That is why you don t see

In addition, in statewide elections the vote s falls about 50 50 between Democrats and Republicans

Tennessee Vs Garner Essay
Tennessee v. Garner
At approximately 2200 hours on October 3, 1974, the Memphis police received a prowler inside
call , to which they dispatched officers Hymon and Wright. Upon arrival at the scene, a woman
directed them to a neighboring house from her porch and informed the officers that she had heard
glass breaking and that someone (or possibly multiple someones) was breaking into the house next
door. Hymon proceeded to circle around behind the house, while Wright radioed dispatch to inform
them they were on the scene. Officer Hymon then heard a door slam and someone running across
the backyard. Officer Hymon was able to see Garner s hands and was reasonably certain that
Garner was unarmed, however, he was not certain. The escaping suspect, ... Show more content on

Department, it s Director, Officer Hymon, and the Mayor of Memphis city accountable. After a
three day bench trial, the District Court dismissed the charges against The Mayor and the city of
Memphis due to a lack of sufficient evidence. Officer Hymon s charges were dismissed the charges
on the grounds that his actions were constitutional and were sanctioned by the Tennessee statute.
The main question this case posed was: Does a statute authorizing use of deadly force to prevent the
escape of any fleeing suspected felon violate the Fourth Amendment? Eventually, they decided it
wasn t, though this decision was not unanimous, representing a 6 3 split in the Supreme Court
Justices. The three justices who were not in agreement were following the statement made by
Justice Sandra Day O Connor that the majority went too far in invalidating long standing common
law and police practices contrary to the holding.

Following any brake work, your car should brake firm to the touch. Trouble becomes apparent
when the brakes feel soft to the touch and require extra pressure to make the car stop. Once you

Brake fluid is hydraulically pushed through tubes and drives each piston in a brake caliper. Here,
you ll need two people to get the work done one person to press the brake pedal and another

Normative Thesis
In chapter two, The Bases for Our Decisions and roles of Discernment, the author focuses mainly
on the reason for our choices as humans, and our capability of being righteousness as individuals.
The authors explains that every individual has different morals which comes to effect the decisions
we make as humans.
A Proposed Normative Basis:
How do we approach ethics?
In general everyone approaches an ethical situation differently depending on his or her priorities.
When it comes to our ethical decisions we tend to approach them with normative basis. This
sometimes includes our virtues, principles and the consequences that we might be able to handle.
Often times, these normative basis go hand in hand and we tend to use them together when it
comes to decision making. This all depends on which of the three is more important to the
individual.
Describing a Normative Basis
A normative basis often times gives us an idea of person that we should become and how we

Disneyland Vs Disneyland
Which amusement park do you prefer Disneyland or Six Flags Magic Mountain? Even though,
both of these amusement parks are very much enjoyable, everyone has a preference. While one
is labeled as the happiest place on earth, the other is just as fun, or is it? Disneyland and Six
Flags Magic Mountain are both filled with rides, food, and entertainment; however, I believe one
of these amusement parks does a little better job at making your experience unforgettable.
Disneyland offers awesome rides, delicious food, and breathtaking entertainment. I believe
Disneyland is true to its slogan and is the happiest place on earth because whenever I find myself
there I am always having a great time. The rides at Disneyland are so enjoyable and delightful;
however, most of their rides were created to accommodate infants and children, so many of them
are slow moving or digital. Nevertheless, while this does not worsen your experience, you do
sometimes miss out on that roller coasterthrill that you would feel on a typical ride. For example,
the rides that are slow moving or digital include It s a Small World, Buzz Lightyear Astro
Blasters, Pirates of the Caribbean, and so on. Disneyland s targeted guests are children and adults
of all ages. Disneyland has many rides that are accessible to infants and children, and many rides
that are targeted more toward teenagers and adults. Disneyland also offers plenty of entertainment

The Vampire Effect Of Dracula
Not many people would think that they can be compared to Count Dracula. Considered to be one
of the most well known monsters of all time, Count Dracula sucks the blood of his victims, which
would ultimately lead to their death. While this seems like a very unique example, it can be
applied to nearly every person, specifically in the college stetting. This phenomenon that can be
linked to this monster is called the vampireeffect. First used in the book ______, this term refers to
the what happens in socialgroups due to different personality types that were caused by a
difference in economic background. Set in a college dormitory, chapter 4 of the book discusses
how there is a difference in the social lives of students who are quiet versus students who are more
outgoing. Students who were shy were generally ignored and did not seem to partake in many
social activities. While Armstrong and Hamilton suggest that the Vampire Effect arises due to the
social students knowingly ignoring and rejecting the shyer students, that is not the case. The cycle
through which the effect takes place starts with self comparison due to economic status, envy, and
self blame, and results in anxiety and self isolation. Although this is done unintentionally,
consciously known factors such debt and class also play a role in the process.
As Armstrong and Hamilton describe the social isolates , Others treated the quieter roommate as
sort of a sidekick or an invisible appendage (105).

Pros And Cons Of Sleeping Bag
There are many factors to consider when searching for a child s sleeping bag. Since kids have a
lower body mass than grown ups, an adult sleeping bag is out of the question. Get one too big, and
heat will escape. Grab one too small, and your child will feel uncomfortable.
Usually, there are two types of sleeping bags: indoor and outdoor. Indoor styles are light, making
them perfect for nap time, sleepovers, and movie night. Outdoor models contain heavier materials
and hold more cushion to make outdoor sleeping bearable.

Taking a Look at Atomic Structure
1.INTRODUCTION:
The concept of Atom was proposed by John Dalton in 1808 to explain the laws of chemical
combination. He considered that matter is made up of indivisible atoms.all atoms of an element are
identical.Atoms are neither created nor destroyed. Atoms of different elements have different
masses and chemical properties. atoms of different elements combine in simple whole numbers to
form compounds. This concept was accepted till various eminent physicists like J.J. Thomson.
Goldstein, Rutherford, Niels Bohr and others have established the modern concept of an atom. As
technology advances , scientists are able to gather experimental evidence related to the properties
of the atom. As a result , various models of atomic structure have been suggested over the years. In
this chapter we shall discuss atomic structure based on the modern principles. In the early 1900s ,
J.J. Thomson came up with a atomic model.
Soon after J.J. Thomson atomic model , Rutherford did a series of experiments with tiny
radioactive particles, known as alpha particles.he fired a gold foil with alpha particles and
discovered that most of the alpha particles passed right through the gold foil, some bounced straight
back and a small number passed through at an angle. From this experiment , he got conclusion that
the atom consists of a small positively charged dense central part is called nucleus.
In 1913 , Neils bohr proposed a planetary model of the atom . the neutrons and protons occupy a

The Electric Ant is a science fiction short story written by Philip K. Dick and published in 1969. In
this setting, the story takes place in a distant alternative universe. Mankind s identity and freedom
are being questioned in this futuristic society. Indeed, the plot explores the identity of a protagonist
who has been disconnected from reality after an accident, by being transformed into an organic
robot. A being that is no longer humandespite having the skin, the flesh and the physical body of a

in life. Even he mentioned the fact that he no longer belongs to the human race as mentioned: A
slave, Poole said. A mechanical slave. [...] I ve lived a good live, Poole said. I ve worked hard.
This simply shows how the main protagonist lost all interest of returning to how things used to
be. He accepts what is currently expected of him. Poole is positioned into an artificial body that
can be replaced at any time. He has lost his individuality and freedom. As the story goes on, it
follows the complex development of the protagonist. Another form of displacement of identity is
formed when Poole realizes his whole existence is dictated by a simple gadget installed in his
body. He is not free in the world he is living in as demonstrated in the story.

Abstract:
In a global economy, mining the opinion relations between opinion targets and opinion words was
the key to collective extraction. To this end, the most adopted techniques have been nearest
neighbor rules and syntactic patterns. To improve the performance of these methods, we can
specially design exquisite, high precision patterns. However, with an increase in corpus size, this
strategy is likely to miss more items and has lower recall. In this paper proposes a novel approach
based on the partially supervised alignment model, which regards identifying opinion relations as an
alignment process. Compared to the traditional unsupervised alignment model, the proposed model
obtains better precision because of the usage of partial supervision. Compared to syntax based
methods, our word alignment model effectively alleviates the negative effects of parsing errors
when dealing with informal online texts. The objective is to propose a method based on a
monolingual Word alignment model (WAM). An opinion target can find its corresponding modifier
through word alignment. In addition, the WAM can integrate

  • 2. Graded Christian Worldview From This Christian s Worldview Part Two Genevieve M. Bogusky Liberty University Abstract The purpose of this essay is to illuminate the various elements of research methods that are used in the discipline of psychology. Aspects that are covered encompass several research designs as reflected through the biblical figures of Adam, Noah, Daniel, and Melzar. In addition, the notion of the program evaluation model of CIPP is also discussed through the personhood of Jethro, whose fame had mainly come through being the father in law of Moses. Comprised within the concluding remarks of this paper, the author not only provides a description of the impact that the analysis of these selected passages has made on her in performing this task in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Noah: Genesis 6:12 22 Sadly, the Bible reports that nearly all of Adam s descendents had corrupted their way upon the earth and lost their true direction (Gen. 6:12 Amplified Bible), and, as a result of this intolerable situation, God told Noah that He had determined to make an end of all flesh [as well as] destroy ... the land ... by [bringing] a flood of waters upon the earth (Gen. 6:13, 17). After the Holy Creator had uttered this apocalyptic intent, He proceeded to provide Noah with instructions on how he was to build an ark, which included information on a list of vital materials (Gen. 6:14), some details on the manner they were to be used (Gen. 6:14), basic blueprints of its structure (Gen. 6:14, 16), and, what measurements the floating vehicle was to have when it was completed, which Scriptures report was to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high (Gen. 6:15). In order for Noah to be obedient to His Heavenly Father s plan however, he must have not only known where to get the building supplies that he had need of, as well as, been quite deft in knowing how to use them, he also had to have the knowledge of the ratio scale of measurement so he could perform the task. Though it is evident that Noah was cognizance of other scales of measures, he choose this particular one because it was the only one that had the property of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Physics Of Physics Regarding Light Rays I have always been interested in the way light travels, not just in how, but also in all the other factors that affect the light rays, including the speed, the velocity, the distance, as well as others. In my past years of school, I had been able to explore areas of physics concerning light rays, as part of my physics course. However, I had previously only learned the basic principles, such as the laws of refractionand reflection. Because I chose to focus on Chemistry and Biology, I was not given the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject, and had only obtained basic understanding of it. Although I knew of the principles and what they represented, I did not become fully aware of the fact that the principles were based off of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, we want the light to bounce off a mirror or to pass through a piece of glass on its way from A to B. Fermat s principle states that of all the possible paths the light might take, that satisfy those boundary conditions, light takes the path which requires the shortest time. (A more accurate statement of Fermat s principle: Any hypothetical small change in the actual path of a light ray would only result in a second order change in the optical path length. The first order change in the optical path length would be zero.) Consider the diagram on the right. We want light to leave point A, bounce off the mirror, and get to point B. Let the perpendicular distance from the mirror of both A and B be d and the shortest distance between the points be D. Assume that light takes the path shown. The length of this path is then: Since the speed of light is the same everywhere along all possible paths, the shortest path requires the shortest time. To find the shortest path, I differentiated L with respect to x and set the result equal to zero. (I did this in order to yield an extremum/minimum in the function or the derivative of L(x).) And thus obtained the value of the least amount of time. After canceling equal terms on both sides I was left with: or The path that takes the shortest time is the one for which x=D/2, or equivalently, the one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Substituting Pain for Passion in Peter Shaffer’s Equus Essay Equus is as complex as the human mind. Exploring psychological questions such as what does it mean to be normal, and should individuality be sacrificed for the sake of normality? Whilst propelling a mystery, crime story, and a psychological thriller, Peter Shaffer s Equus examines the minds of a young stable boy who has blinded several horses and the aging psychiatrist asked to cure him. But would a cure really normalize the teenager? A seventeen year old boy, Alan is brought to a psychiatric hospital because he has blinded six horses with a hoof pick. Dysart, a psychiatrist, works to normalize the boy, feeling that as he makes the boy safe for society, he is taking away his worship and sexual vitality, both of which are missing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Dysart envies Alan s passion for horses, a type of passion that he knows he will never feel, he questions his livelihood as a healer. He is healing nothing by removing the boys worship and faith. Is it right or worthwhile to try to normalize Alan when what others consider his infatuation with horses, he considers his religion. Dysart: What am I trying to do to him? Hesther: Restore him, surely? Dysart: To what? Hesther: A normal life. Dysart: Normal? Hesther: it still means something. Dysart: Does it? page 47* Shaffer employs to the reader that there is a place in society for eccentric, different, individual, passionate and nonconformist people, Alan s own parents are the prime example. Alan s background includes a fanatically religious mother who is polarized by a socialistic atheist father who opposes television. Alan s father s distaste with television is further contradicted by his mother s allowance of the television medium to play a significant role in Alan s life. Frank: ...it s the Bible that responsible for all this...night after night having this stuff read to him: an innocent man tortured to death...Bloody religion, it s our only real problem in this house. Dora: (to Dysart)You must excuse my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. The Basics of Toilet Training Essay The process of toilet training may be considered the most challenging process that parents encounter with their child during the early stages of his or life. Toilet training can be described as an individualized developmental process that all children will progress at their own developmental pace and temperament, not the child s chronological age. Toilettraining should be a natural result of the child s developmental readiness. Therefore the primary goal can only be achieved when the child is ready and willing. Just like any learning process for a child, including toilet training, it effects the development of the whole child and it is important that the child has the necessary physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills to begin.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the toilet training process, a child must obtain body awareness and be able to associate bodily sensation to the result that follows, poop or pee. Then after he masters that skill he must acquire the certain skills that will allow him to picture what he wants to do (use the toilet), create a plan to get here, begin using it, and remain in place long enough to finish, which requires both memory and concentration (Wolraich 26). The next and probably most difficult readiness sign a parent must recognize before starting the toilet training process is emotional growth. There are many emotional issues that can greatly affect toilet training that include a eagerness for independence, a child s need for control, testing of rules and limits, desire to win parents approval, and fears of toilet use. If a child resists the idea of using the toilet when mentioned he may be experiencing an emotional issue and the parent should wait for a better time to follow through with the process. If the child is continually repeating signs of resistance a parent may want to rethink if it is too soon to begin the process and understand that the child may be going through a major change in the his life that is creating stress. Parents should know that it is not the best time to toilet train when a new baby is expected soon or has recently arrived, the family has newly moved, the child has just ... A New Research And Development Group HACKD, LLC s move to launch a new research and development group christened, CWE is a welcome move for the organization to streamline research operations, and to develop innovative products and services. The proposed CWE group systems are expected to run on the Ubuntu Linux 15.04 operating system that will access and share resources with the MicrosoftActive Directory (AD) domain at HACKD, LLC. The AD domain comprises several servers running Windows Server 2012 R2 providing various services such as DHCP, DNS, file sharing, Microsoft Active Directory, printing and web services. HACKD, LLC also has a mix of about 500 desktop and laptop computers running on the Windows XPand Windows 7client operating systems. According to the Windows... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the case of the CWE group systems implementation, the minimum system requirements for running Ubuntu 15.04 will be used to determine whether new hardware will be purchased, or whether current systems running Windows XP will be migrated to Ubuntu. The Ubuntu 15.04 operating system is distributed on two types of bootable images i.e. 32 bit and 64 bit PC images. The 64 bit (AMD64) desktop image is built to cater for systems based on the EM64T and AMD64 architectures such as Core 2, EM64T Xeon, and Athlon64. For 64 bit processor not manufactured by AMD, or when full support for 32 bit applications is required, the 32 bit (i386) desktop image is recommended. The 32 bit image is designed for almost all PC systems and includes computers with AMD/Intel processors, almost all machines capable or running Microsoft Windows operating system offerings. In fact, the 32 bit version of the Ubuntu 15.04 desktop image is recommended when organizations/users are unsure of which version to use (Releases.ubuntu.com, 2015). Another issue to consider on the hardware aspect regards the minimum system requirements required to run Ubuntu 15.04. The Table 1 below shows the minimum system requirements for Ubuntu 15.04 compared to the current system specifications for machines running Windows XP. The third Requirements met column specifies whether the current Windows XP hardware meets the minimum requirements for installing Ubuntu 15.04. Ubuntu 15.04 Minimum System Requirements ... • 8. The Power Of Desire In A P By John Updike Within the story A P by John Updike, the main character Sammy is portrayed as a shy optimistic young teenager working at a grocery store. But a sudden life changing event happens and Sammy takes charge just as anyone else would. Three pretty young girls walk into the grocery store, in only bathing suits, just as any guy would feel the urge to stare or even talk to them, he takes action by sticking up for them as they are getting thrown out of the store resulting in him quitting his job. This action we see would be the power of desire which is the theme throughout this story. In society today we tend to see lots of people especially teens afraid to stickup for what they believe in. With the power of desire, it builds up confidence, shows maturity in the coming of ages, and it even proves you can do what you believe in. If everyone had this much confidence like Sammy, our world may be a stronger place. Being confident is very essential in life and it is something many people tend to lack for many reasons. Some could be self conscious in physical appearance or even believe they are not good enough. This strong confidence is strongly shown in the story based on the girl s appearances. For example, The sheep pushing their carts down the aisle the girls were walking against the usual traffic (not that we have one way signs or anything) were pretty hilarious. You could see them, when Queenie s white shoulders dawned on them, kind of jerk, or hop, or hiccup, but their eyes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As an artist who played in both eras, Boyz II Men s music provides us with a looking glass to see not only the change in the genre as a whole, but also the changing of his music as the eras shift. Today, Boyz II Men are one of the last harmonizing R B groups still left in the genre today, which is unknown to many people, including me, who frequently listens to the genre. For most music lovers, Boyz II Men s songs like I ll Make Love To You and It s So Hard To Say Goodbye were well known songs that presented the music of the 90s. It was harmonized together, it was soulful in nature, it provided deep reflection into the words of the song, and the music ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Rationalism In Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales The duration of the novels, the characters are seen lamenting their pasts and longing for a future, ready for whatever seems to be awaiting them. The journey that the pilgrims takes and the stories they tell attempts to reconcile their purpose for the journey. At the same time they reconcile their pasts, and not just their pasts but also the past of humanity. The underling issue of the novel is that the characters are unable to properly grieve for their pasts and it is ultimately recreated in an odd, intergalactic colonialism that causes a war. To begin, Pearl is a poem that is contemporary to Chaucer s The Canterbury Tales of which this novel is loosely based on. But Pearl is a dream vision/debate poem about a father who laments the death of his daughter. He falls asleep and has a vision of her as a queen in heaven. Technology is developing fast and we don t know where this will leave web designers and developers and how will they proceed in the future. As attached to our phones we are its hard to imagine how young the technology of smartphones really are. In 1908 the first apparent wireless device came when Prof. Albert Jahnke and the Oakland Transcontinental Aerial Telephone and Power Company believed they had industrialized a wireless telephone. Sadly they were accused of fraud. Later the charge was dropped and production of the device never proceeded. In 1918, German railroad systems started to test their own wireless phones on their military trains. Trials began in 1924 and a year later Zugtelephonie A.G. was established to supply train telephony equipment with the first telephone systems being accepted for use in postal and other trains by 1926. On June 17, 1946 the first truly mobile phone service appeared on June 17, 1946 under Bell Labs, which industrialized mobile phones that endorsed users to place and receive phone calls from their automobiles. Martin Cooper, a research executive at Motorola to Joel S Engel of Bell Labs, made the first mobile phone calls from a handheld device on April 3, 1973. What John wanted, John got, and that was the way it had always been. The narrator was ensnared under her husband s crude ideals, with no say in the matter, and having an imagination as well as a creative thought process was the polar opposite of her significant other. Kasmer claims that this lifestyle and sense of servitude prevented the protagonist from being able to try to express her feelings and voice her opinions to her husband (Kasmer 7). It discouraged her from being a unique individual. As you read the tale, her language and tone reflect this; constantly referring to herself as one which creates an eerie ...echo of anonymity... People are pressured from every direction by advertisements which exploit their deepest fears, attractions, needs, and desires, shaping their behaviors, goals, and thoughts. They are led into believing false information and promises that are mostly never kept, all for the simple reason of selling the product and making profit. We see advertisements everywhere in magazines and newspapers, on the radio, on TV, online, in the mail, even over the phone. The whole patriotic theme is strange because the connection between patriotism and the product does not make the product function better, so why do we feel obligated to pay attention to the advertisement and even purchase that product. Along with patriotism another concept used widely is the elitism the product brings to people with its possession. As Jack Solomon wrote in his essay Masters of Desire, We Americans dream of rising about the crowd, of attaining a social summit beyond the reach of ordinary citizens (1). He is basically saying that Americans want to be better then the people around them and this belief is what marketers feast on, creating status symbols like Rolex, Mercedes, BMW, etc. One advertisement that crosses my mind in terms of using elitism would be the new U2 iPod Special Edition advertisement. This promotes an iPod with a black cover and laser engraved signatures of the U2 band members; everything else is similar to a regular iPod; whereas, the price is $50 more. People are led into believing that the U2 iPod is better than the regular one only because it is endorsed by U2. Another ironic detail is that a normal iPod itself is a product of elitism, because even though it has similar functions to a Sony or any other MP3 player, it costs $100 more only because it comes with the signature white headphones. These headphones, unique only because an iPod come equipped with them, have made themselves and the iPod a status symbol. Most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Albert Einstein) Choosing a career at young age expands the imagination in oneВґs mind. At the age of five, my imagination was expanding because that was all I thought about. Growing up to me meant there would be plenty of responsibilities that would have to be taken care of. This is something that our parents teach us while growing up. What is more important of those teachings is the significance. If you can pursue any career path, then do it without the ideas of others. This is what I did. The actions of others affect your thoughts. My elementary and middle schoolyears changed my perspective of how my life would be while growing up. I experienced bullying and behaviors that left me surprised. There were careless teachers, rude comments of how I would grow up to be, and the words, You will never be good enough unspoken, but still meant. I would just think this was normal, but it would continue for years. Then bad things turn for the good. I was given the opportunity to start over by going to a new school. There I was exposed to the career of Criminal Justice. This is where I had my mind set. The past years of bullying affected my way of making decisions. It was assumed that while he was resting, a sudden storm had come and he had died of hypothermia which is said to be a painless death, then shortly after his death, the glacier had collapsed on top of him, Otzi was a victim of the weather (Spindler), which also was the probably the reason why his body and equipment was still so well preserved, and why it remained untouched throughout the years. Otzi was assumed to have died in autumn because that was when the shepherds would take their flocks of sheep up into the Alps, and they had used a microscopic analysis to find out what he had eaten, Otzi s last meal had consisted of dried wheat, bread, and some meat, what was surprising, was that was also traces of pollen in the food. The pollen was acted as a Fingerprint for each season (Spindler), because flowers and plants usually pollinated in autumn. After looking at what Otzi s diet had been, the scientists looked inside Otzi using X Rays and Cat Scans; they saw that Otzi s ribs were severely distorted, so Spindler came up with the disaster theory . Men and women have been socially constructed to believe only men are capable of political representation. The problem lies within an institutional bias, where unnatural distinctions have been put in place from a young age. In New Zealand, the presence and contribution of women have been pivotal to the make up of contemporary party politics. Achieving parliamentary recognition and political representation peaked during the 1970s when the country was experiencing large changes in its economic and social environment. Through activism and pressure groups, women were able to seek recognition in New Zealand s political domain. The change to Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) eased the access of different political groups to parliament, improving the representation of minority groups such as women that have been under represented in politics. Proportional representationoffered new opportunities in terms of policy change through women s political participation. It has, however, been argued that the structure of proportional representation has been a hindrance toward a significant step forward for women s political participation. This essay will discuss to what extent the contribution of women through time, coupled with the shift to a new electoral system in a changing social environment, has been a step forward for women s political participation in New Zealand party politics. • 31. Kierkegaard s An Age Of Dispassionate Reflection Soren Kierkegaard, in his essay, the Present Age, writes about two ages the passionate age and the present age: an age of dispassionate reflection. Kierkegaard believes the present age to be centered on reflection (deliberation, representation, anticipation), which substitutes for decisive action. The present age, according to Kierkegaard is characterized by an unhappy objectivity, in which the individualhas become leveled down and loses himself as part of a crowd. One aspect of this unhappy objectivity is that our age is an age of reflection rather than of passion. Kierkegaard suggests, the most dangerous, if also the most respectable of all diseases is to admire in public what is considered unimportant in private since... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is dangerous because in the act of doing so, we lose our true selves in the process. Kierkegaard strongly believes in the idea of individuality. If individuals (as individuals) take it upon themselves to experience first hand meaningful action and informed opinion (which is risky) they will gain something precious. Yet, many would rather stay in the safety (and effortlessness) of the public and live meaninglessly. Kierkegaard uses the example of the skater to demonstrate his assertion of the most dangerous of all diseases . The skater, on a frozen lake with dangerously thin ice, sees a jewel in the distance. In the passionate age, he argues, the public would cheer and support the skater as he made efforts to reach the jewel. They would worry for him and show concern at any sign of danger. However, in an age absent of passion, the crowds would agree on the fact that it was unreasonable and not worthwhile to engage in such a dangerous activity. In addition, they would praise themselves for being clever and practical for figuring this out. The qualities of being daring and enthusiastic for something an individual may be passionate about is malformed into a feat of skill, in which people are encouraged to surrender to the most dangerous of all diseases : to admire in public what is ... Late emergence can result in poor plant performance and a direct yield loss [4], because roots are inadequately established and have less access to water and nutrients during later stages of vegetative and reproductive growth. Our knowledge of the regulation of seed germination has developed greatly in recent times, yet understanding of the genetic and mechanical basis for seed vigour differences is limited. By enhancing the seedling vigour trait, the agricultural industry might attain a remarkable advancement and increment in plant development. Seed vigour contributes directly to the economic success of commercial crops (Finch Savage, 1995) and seed companies therefore need to have the means to obtain a reliable estimate of seed vigour in order to be able to supply growers with seed lots of high vigour. This will increase the margin of profit by reducing cost of production and increasing productivity. Thus, seed vigour, if enhanced, will result in substantial savings. Keeping in view the above information, this paper will be beneficial in determining the

He considered that matter is made up of indivisible atoms.all atoms of an element are identical.Atoms are neither created nor destroyed. Atoms of different elements have different masses and chemical properties. atoms of different elements combine in simple whole numbers to form compounds. This concept was accepted till various eminent physicists like J.J. Thomson. Goldstein, Rutherford, Niels Bohr and others have established the modern concept of an atom. As technology advances , scientists are able to gather experimental evidence related to the properties of the atom. As a result , various models of atomic structure have been suggested over the years. In this chapter we shall discuss atomic structure based on the modern principles. In the early 1900s , J.J. Thomson came up with a atomic model. Soon after J.J. Thomson atomic model , Rutherford did a series of experiments with tiny radioactive particles, known as alpha particles.he fired a gold foil with alpha particles and discovered that most of the alpha particles passed right through the gold foil, some bounced straight back and a small number passed through at an angle. From this experiment , he got conclusion that the atom consists of a small positively charged dense central part is called nucleus. Professor in CSE, GNITC, Hyderabad, A.P., India, manikvpatil@gmail.com Abstract: In a global economy, mining the opinion relations between opinion targets and opinion words was the key to collective extraction. To this end, the most adopted techniques have been nearest neighbor rules and syntactic patterns. To improve the performance of these methods, we can specially design exquisite, high precision patterns. However, with an increase in corpus size, this strategy is likely to miss more items and has lower recall. In this paper proposes a novel approach based on the partially supervised alignment model, which regards identifying opinion relations as an alignment process. Compared to the traditional unsupervised alignment model, the proposed model obtains better precision because of the usage of partial supervision. Compared to syntax based methods, our word alignment model effectively alleviates the negative effects of parsing errors when dealing with informal online texts. The objective is to propose a method based on a monolingual Word alignment model (WAM). An opinion target can find its corresponding modifier through word alignment. In addition, the WAM can integrate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
