I was baptized as an infant and accepted Jesus as my savior when I was four years old. The Lord
blessed me with Christian parents and the opportunity to grow up always hearing the Word. We
are members of New City Fellowship of Fredericksburg. It is a PCA church with an intentional
cross cultural vision. My family and I are very involved in our church. We actively participate in
worship, small groups, Bible study and serving where the Lord calls us. Personally, I am part of
a small group and a mentorship Bible study group for older teen girls lead by some of the older

residents of the Therapy Center with some of their jobs. We shared God s love by helping the
residents with tasks like picking plums, making jam, and helping them rebuild a wall on one of
their sheds. We assisted the Ferguson family in helping take care of their two boys and newborn
daughter, clearing and preparing their garden, making and canning pasta sauce, making a
concrete driveway and helping rebuild their shed. Because we were staying in the Therapy
center and were very far from any cities, we ate our meals in the nearby castle where we had a
