unemployed. Congress created the Civilian Conservation Corps, which employed young male to

(Lund), which suggests that the one of the reasons behind forming a provision for people to bear
arms was to safeguard the people if there was ever a chance of federal oppression on them, a lesson

There hardly exists a more divisive issue in the political and media landscape across the United
States currently than that of gun control. Advocates on either side of the issue are quick to
voraciously fight for what they believe, as well as to tear down anyone who sees the issue
differently. But unlike other issues, it seems that gun control advocacy does not rest on a spectrum;
either you are pro–gun control or you are against it, and anyone caught in the middle is likely to get

The 1920s, also known as the Post War Era or the Roaring Twenties, is best known for being relaxed
and carefree. The idea of economic stability and individual growth became more powerful following
World War I. This decade proved to be one of the most exciting times for America. So what caused

The 1930's, potentially America's darkest years, were a time of great suffering. Otherwise known as
the Great Depression, these grim years struck the country with high unemployment, hunger, and
poverty, leaving Americans eager for change. This change came in 1933 when Franklin D.
Roosevelt was elected into office. Roosevelt entered the White House with a yearning for the
country's trust and support. Vulnerable and impatient, American's were quick to endorse Roosevelt

In 9 years, a grand total of 3 million men had been employed under the CCC, giving millions of
families a monthly paycheck. Although the pay wasn't much, it was money, which at the time most
Americans could only dream of. Along with the CCC came the Works Progress Administration

As commercial banks first came about, they were presented as brick mortar, comprised with safe
deposit boxes, vaults, tellers and ATMs. Today, we live in a very fast paces world. Technological
advances have allowed global economies to bank online at personal and professional leisure. As
some commercial banks do not require a physical location, they save a lot of money in ancillary
charges, such as rent, utilities and property taxes. At times they may offer higher interest rates on
deposits, investments and charge lower fees as well.

sustainable growth of the economy. Commercial banks offer a large range of investment products.
While these products are not only for the use of personal accounts, they are also put to great use

The Major Causes Of The Recession And The Great Depression
The major causes of the Recession and the Great Depression were the actions of the federal
government. Before the Great Depression, the Federal Reserve kept interest rates low in the 1920s
and raised interest rates in the early 1930's. President Hoover's regulations damaged trade and
American exports throughout the 1930s. Finally, the President signed a large tax increase into law in
1932, which hurt businesses and affected everyone. The suicide rate was increased after the Great
Depression began and a similar increase was seen in the years after the Recession. The rate
homelessness was increased after the Recession because a lot of people lost their jobs and couldn't
afford rent. Similarly, during the Depression, people lost their homes or often moved into small
apartments that they shared with other families. During the Depression, people went on bread lines
and to soup kitchens, took turns eating for the day, survived by eating very small meals. After the
Recession, more people filed for unemployment applied for food stamps and seek out other
government programs like WIC, which gives federal grants to feed and take care of low–income
children. During the years of Depression, birth rates dropped and children suffered from
malnutrition.
In many ways, President Hoover's policies let the Depression happen. Previous Presidents like
Roosevelt and Obama responded similarly to the crises; talked about balancing the federal budget,
but instead resorted to massive spending by introducing new programs. One major difference
between the Recession and the Depression was that the government was not very quick to help the
public but government stepped in very quickly to stop damage during the Recession. Today, the
government is expected to "step in" when the crisis of this sort happens but in the 1930's there were
very different expectations because people blamed the unemployed men and women when it was
very clear that the government had to have played a role to play in the making of the crisis as well.

A law that would outlaw guns would be a more of a disadvantage to the law–abiding citizens than it
would be to the criminals. If a law like that would be enacted, the criminals would not stop carrying
guns but the pleasant citizens of the United States would. Currently, there is three major laws that

According to jacob Davidson for Time magazine, " For one, we need to remember that we've had a
remarkable decrease in the U.S since early 1990's, even though the number of firearms has increased
by about 10 million every year" (Davidson). For decades, things have been impressively outstanding
than it was before 1990. Even though there had been an increase in firearms, almost 10 million a
