Nature of B2B Demand
The nature of the demand for industrial products or services is different compared with consumer
products and poses unique challenges . Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Support your
position with reference to an example of a company chosen from one of the following industries
automotive, telecommunications, information technology (computing), fast moving consumer
goods and medical equipment.
The nature of business to business marketing differs in many areas with business to consumer
marketing. The different nature of business to business marketing poses unique challenges and
raises issues that differ from issues arising from consumer marketing. The nature of demand, or the
characteristics of demand for business products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another characteristic that differentiate between business to business market demand and
business to consumer is that business to business products tend to have inelastic demand (Hutt
amp; Speh, 2010). This principle shows that business to business product has demand
characteristics with no correlation with price. BD had increased the price of its evacuated
blood collection tube between 1979 to 1985 from 6 cents per unit to 8 cents per unit, where as
its competitor, Terumo, a Japanese firm has kept its price at 6.5 cents per unit. However, BD
has not lost its market share, which was kept at roughly 80 per cent while Terumo had increased
its market share from 10 per cent to 20 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993). This change in
market share for Terumo, can be explained by other means rather than arguing that Terumo, by
keeping its price, absorbing any cost increases and inflation, has created an elastic demand like in
business to consumer. This argument is highlighted in the fact that in the market for blood
collection needles in the same period, even though both BD and Terumo had kept its per unit
price at 7.5 cents, BD market share has dropped from 40 per cent to 30 BD while Terumo doubled
its market share from 25 per cent to 50 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993).
Finally, a global market perspective must be taken by a marketer in business to business marketing.
The demand for many business

Aesthetics And Its Impact On The Lives Of People
Abstract Aesthetics is an esoteric subject but manages to be appealing to many readers. Aesthetics
are a form of philosophy which deals with nature, beauty, art, and taste and appreciation for truly
beautiful things. From art aesthetics to, aesthetic judgment, normativity in aesthetics et cetera et
cetera. Aestheticsin general have been around for centuries. The most significant figures in the
aesthetic tear of philosophy are figures such as Plato, Emmanuel Kant, Friedrich Nietzsche. It s a
major explanation on why we view things the way we do and why are they stimulating. This essay

The unrecognized significance of Aesthetics I think everything in life is art. What you do, how
you dress, the way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality, what
you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea, how you decorate your home,
or party; your grocery list, the food you make, how your writing looks, and the way you feel.
Life is art. Helena Bonham Carter. Everything I seem to appreciate I note that one way or
another I end up relating whatever it is that stimulates my mind to art always. I m constantly
thinking in my mind how the smallest of things can drastically change the appearance of things,
the way they make you feel and communicate essentially. One word in which you can observe me
saying nearly in every sentence is the word aesthetic . The word aesthetic lacks usage and is
absent in the vocabulary of various people I have spoken to throughout my life, by no means am
I suggesting for the word to be clichГ©d, but it is note worthy to say that it is definitely under
used. Aesthetics are essentially the reasoning and acumen behind literally everything you can
think of. It s the reason you wear those shoes your currently wearing, because they look nice . It s
the reason you are with your girlfriend and vice versa because you guys. It s literally the reason
behind why you put that specific piece of furniture you

Roe vs Wade
In 1973, the Supreme Court made a decision in one of the most controversial cases in history, the
case of Roe v. Wade (410 U.S. 113 (1973)), in which abortion was legalized and state anti abortion
statues were struck down for being unconstitutional. This essay will provide a brief history and
analysis of the issues of this case for both the woman s rights and the states interest in the matter.
Also, this essay will address the basis for the court ruling in Roe s favor and the effects this
decision has had on subsequent cases involving a woman s right to choose abortion in the
United States. The court s decision created legal precedent for several subsequent abortion
restriction cases and has led to the development of legislation to protect women s health rights.
Although the Supreme Court s decision in Roe v. Wade was a historic victory for women s
rights, it is still an extremely controversial subject today and continues to be challenged by
various groups. Roe v. Wade Case Law Analysis Before 1973, abortion access was determined by
state legislature for each individual state with no consistency across the United States. Some states
allowed abortions but most state statues heavily restricted or completely banned abortion. The
restricted states would generally only allow abortion in the event of rape, incest, fetal anomalies,
or the woman s life is at risk. The state of Texas enforced a state statute that made it illegal for an
abortion to be performed unless the woman s

The majority leader and the assistant floor leader are chosen by the majority party as well. The
speaker of the House is important in the organization of the House, because they choose committee

party. Like the House, they appoint committee chairmanships and committee assignments. The
minority party is not left out. They also have a caucus, and a minority leader and assistant floor
leader are selected for both houses. The minority caucus also makes committee assignments for
member of its party. The staffs of both houses are chosen by the majority party leadership and

second action is a joint resolution, which is a form of expressing legislative will and is as forceful
as the law. Next is the concurrent resolution, which is used for

Otto Von Bismarck Impact On Germany
The nation of Germany has had a significant impact on the history of the world. In the early
twentieth century the country presented itself as one of the strongest military powers of Europe
and a major participant of the First World War. In the mid twentieth century, under the command of
Adolf Hitler, Germany initiated the Second World War. Today, Germany is an economically
developed nation, even with the many troubles it faced after the end of the Second World War. This
major power, which caused a stir in the twentieth century, was in most part created by the Junker
Otto von Bismarck. Bismarck used the system of realpolitik to unite the divided German states
under Prussia. Had Bismarck not been involved in the German unification, it is extremely likely that
the powerful German empirewhich made its mark in history would not exist and the impacts it
made on the world would be nullified.
Otto von Bismarck was the son of a Brandenburg squire and a wealthy mother. Bismarck s mother
sent him to Berlin for schooling so he could one day have a career in Prussian civil service. After ...

Bad Boys II And Blue Streak Comparison
Bad Boys II is a 2003 action comedy that was directed by Michael Bay, and starred Will Smith and
Martin Lawrence. The movie follows cops, Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowry, try to take down a
drug dealer and ensure the safety of Marcus sister who is an undercover cop.
The movie Blue Streak is also 1999 action comedy that was directed by Les Mayfield, and starred
Martin Lawrence and Luke Wilson. The movie follows Miles Logan a jewel thief turned fake cop
tries to retrieve a diamond he hid in a construction site that ends up being a police station.
Bad Boys II and Blue Streak have many similarities. They re both action comedies. They even share
an actor, but both movies are also very different. Both of the movies have a driving theme that
achieving the goal is most important. The thing that makes the movies different is how they portray
the characters movement toward the main theme. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Blue Streak the plot moves at a slower pace. Each thing that happens doesn t trigger another

development. Bad Boys II moves very quickly throughout the plot. One event leads quickly to
another major event, and this is seen throughout movie. Things happen in quick succession and the
plot moves very quickly without any lull in the action. The movies both take a different approach at
main character development. Blue Streak does a good job developing the main characters in only a
few situations. It develops the character mainly in how they act in think in one environment, but it

Time and time again business have observed that as our technology continues to evolve society s
views toward traditional learning often shift. Thus, all business who share market space with other

What Does It Mean To Be A Girl
It s a girl! Most parents fantasize about hearing those precious and promising words because soon a
little girl will make its way into their life and she will be sweet, innocent, and pure. Nothing will
hurt that child, but unfortunately those parents are blinded by the happiness of the moment and do
not realize that the little girlwill grow up and be worth less than her husband and she will be worth
less in society. In Merriam Webster s Unabridged Dictionary the word girl means a femalechild
from birth to adulthood, but in addition to this simple word there holds an immense amount of
meaning. Four letters and that s all it takes for someone to roll their eyes and laugh because that
word is linked to weakness, negativity, and obnoxious... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a girl you are expected to break, but in reality girls have to pretend nothing will break them or
they will again be judged by society. This tends to be the case because if a girl breaks it will just
add fire to the sexist prejudices put upon them as a gender. In Serena Nanda s article Arranging a
Marriage in India, she talks about her research in India, when a son s parents are looking for a
wife for their son they have a very long list of expectations. She should be from the same caste
system, pretty, not too intelligent, meshes with the family well, doesn t stray from home, nor
does she gossip or call home a lot, and the most important thing is that she is pure before
marriage. Though these expectations tend to look somewhat different in the U.S. they have the
same ideas. A girl should be boxed in away from society and taking care of the children or
perhaps being a good cook to put it into simpler terms because that is what society unfairly tells
us a girl should be able to do. Serena also talks about how it is very important for a girl to protect
the family name and in no way ever disgrace it. If that girl does disgrace the family (for example
not staying pure) it is not uncommon for her brother or even cousin to murder her. Why is a
family s expectations based on what a girl does? These unrealistic expectations push girls too far
and cause us to think our worth is less because we cannot do it all, even though society thinks that s
the least we could

The Moral Permissibility Of Abortion
Moral Permissibility of Abortion
Abortion has been a debating issue for many decades. Most of the countries, permit abortion,
however, some religions and countries consider abortion to be morally and ethically
impermissible. In Canada, the abortion was legalized in 1988 based on the fact that the law
should not force a women to carry a fetus beyond her priorities as it would interfere with her body
and her own securities towards life. Many would argue against this view by stating that a fetus does
have a right to live and thus, abortion is morally wrong. I believe that abortion is morally and
ethically permissible as long as it does not violate significant rights of others.
The case of Deb and Derek is a perfect example to support my view towards abortion. The couple
who has been married for two years have realized that Deb is 16 weeks pregnant with a child who
has down s. Down syndrome is genetic disorder in which a person has 47 chromosomes instead of
46 which results in birth defects including mental retardation and delayed physical, social and
mental development (Smolkin, Bourgeois Findler, 2010, p. 165).
Derek is supports abortion because he thinks objectively the child can cause problems in their
relationship, newly setup business and their overall lifestyle. On the other hand, Deb is thinking
emotionally and feels that she should not abort the child and taking care of a child with down s
will not be as tough as Derek thinks. Later on, when Deb s realized that

Understand The Difference Between Primary And Secondary...
To understand the difference between primary and secondary source is to understand the source
it is derived from. A primary source shows its original origin of a story of history. If an ancestor
of the past created a journal of what occurred during their time of life or during an event, then
this would be considered a primary source. Primary sources are originals normally a diary or
journal or artifact such as the artifacts found in the Iceman story and Death on the Railroad.
Secondary sources are broader. These particular sources are almost the third parties to primary
sources. Secondary sources use the information from primary sources to complete research and
theories of a time in history. One example is a historian can write an article based

College students everywhere face a time when they question whether or not to further their
education. Every student has feelings about going to a university after they finish their freshman
and sophomore years at a junior college. For some, they feel a sense of excitement, and for others,
a sense of anxiety. For many collegestudents, going to a universityfrom a junior college will be a
hardtransition. There are many problems that students will face and many trials they will endure.
By knowing how university life works, junior students can avoid or find a solution to the many
transitional problems that they will face. College students everywhere are being faced with
problems such as what schoolto attend, financial issues, staying on a degree plan, the change of
scenery, and much more once they reach a university, because they are unprepared for the change
they are about to undertake. Many are so used to how things work in a junior college that when they

The first problem entering juniors face, is choosing which university they should attend after they

This is especially true for groups of people in the United States. Immigrants, especially of Arab
origin and those with Islam as their religion are seen as terrorists. This is blatant racism and
discrimination which is also completely against what this country stands for.
Also concerned is the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). This is an organization that is
dedicated to raising awareness of civil liberties. The PATRIOT Act, as the name suggests is
supposed to protect the citizens of the country from attacks across its borders. It defeats its own
purpose in attacking from within the very people it s supposed to protect. In fact, it does almost
the opposite by provoking a fear and paranoia that tends to remind us of such wonderful events like
the Spanish inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials.
The ACLU talks about several groups that are unfairly targeted by the Act to the extent that the
constitution is being violated. I have already talked about Arab and Muslims but even neighbors
are supposed to report anything that appears suspicious. Turning people against each other is not
only a reminder of the above mentioned historical events but it also leads to fear in a place where
none is needed.
The Act gives law enforcement the right to search any building or residence that might prove
suspect. It seems that such suspicion is easy to provoke making it likely that an innocent law
abiding citizen will find himself

night with the wind blowing harder than usual. Almost everyone was asleep because of their

The Beginning
October 8, 1871: It was a dry, dry Sunday night. Dan Sullivan went on a walk to visit some
neighbors, but when he got to the neighborhood he saw flames rolling out of the O Leary s barn.
He took action and immediately started to yell, FIRE! to wake up his friends and neighbors.

The firefighter s barricade of water and firefighting was not enough. The fire was scorching hot.
You could get burned by standing by it. The firefighters had an idea of one firefighter holding a

Literary Elements In A P
Life is always about making important decisions that could change your life completely. Like
the story A P, Sammy made a huge decision to quit his job due to his boss being rude to three
young girls wearing bathing suits. John Updike used several literary elements to make the story
stand out and for people to relate to Sammy. The most important elements that is used in this
story is setting, point of view, and characters. Firstly, setting plays a crucial part of the story
because of where and when the story takes place. This story takes place around the 1950 s in the
United States near Boston. In the story, it read It s not as if we re on the Cape; we re north of
Boston and there s people in this town haven t seen the ocean for twenty years. (Updike) This
quote demonstrates of why the locals in the town where so upset to see the three young girls
wearing only their bathing suits in the supermarket. This also takes place in a much older
generation that is not okay with people walking around with revealing clothing. That is why
Sammy s boss, Lengel was so upset with the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A P is in first person perspective and is portrayed by Sammy the nineteen year old cashier. You

my back to the door, so I don t see them until they re over by the bread. (Updike) The way that
Sammy is talking is childish and someone that is in their thirties or older would not talk like
that. John Updike made sure to make Sammy of a mind of a nineteen year old. Another proof of
that is I look around for my girls, but they re gone, of course. There wasn t anybody but some
young married screaming with her children about some candy they didn t get by the door of a

Ordinary Men Summary
Book Review: Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning Ordinary Men by Christopher Browning
is subtitled Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the Final Solution in Poland. This title is a perfect
overview of the subject of the book. Browning discussed Reserve Police Battalion 101 and the part
it played in the World War II during the Holocaust, especially in the Final Solution , which was the
attempted eradication of Jews. Not only does Browning discuss Battalion 101, but he uses them as
an example of how ordinary people can commit atrocities such as mass murder. Christopher
Browning is a professor of history at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He is
considered an expert on the Holocaust and has written several acclaimed books covering this
subject (Christopher R. Browning). To write this his book Ordinary Men, he relies on a collection
of indictments and judgements that took place from 1962 to 1972 (Browning xvii). These cases
that Browning studied are full of testimonies from Battalion 101 members. He writes Ordinary Men

Jonbenet Murder Theories
An unexpected murder with unexplained evidence all surrounding a 6 year old pageant queen
named JonBenet all happening on the day after Christmas. Although there are many theories
about JonBenet, evidence shows that it was most likely her brother. Jonbenet Ramsey was a
beauty pageant queen that was found dead on the day after Christmas in a storage room in her
basement of her house in Boulder Colorado. Jonbenet was born on August 6, 1990 in Atlanta
Georgia, and was only 6 years old when she was found dead. There was a ransom note left on the
stairs addressed to the dad and when her mom woke up and came down stairs she found it and it
was asking for the exact amount of money of the bonus that the dad got earlier that year. The note
was 2 ВЅ pages long and was written from a notepad from their house. When she was found she
had various wounds, duct tape over her mouth, garrote around her neck, and she was struck in the
head which caused her to become unconscious (Conrad).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all Jonbenet had an uncontrollable bed wetting problem and one night her mom lost her
temper and struck her in a way that accidentally killed her. Another theory is that her dad
sexually harassed her and after he was afraid that she would tell someone and he would get in
trouble and later killed her. In 2006 a thailand school teacher John Mark Karr confessed to killing
Jonbenet Ramsey. In his earlier years he had child pornography charges in the us. He was
immediately dismissed as a suspect because he was only after notoriety and fame. The last theory
is that the brother was jealous of all the attention she got and on christmas he got a train set and we
stabbed her with it. There was two holes on her neck and it matched up to the train track

Analysis Of The Movie Jurassic Park
Literary Criticism involves a critic or just a reader who criticizes literary elements in a piece of
work such as those in books and articles just to mention a few, in this case we are referring to the
Jurassic Park series. Jurassic Park is a four part movie series that has a pretty common, redundant
style throughout the movies. In the series, it includes Jurassic Park, Lost World: Jurassic Park,
Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World, which includes all elements that are to be expected in an
action, dramatic sci fi movie. The present criticism in this series is structuralism and the author s
writing style towards the movies gets more intense as the series progresses along. John Michael
Crichton, is the author of the two published books from the series; Jurassic Park and Jurassic
World (michaelcritchon.com). Michael was born on October 23, 1942, in the city of Chicago,
Illinois. He attended Harvard University and became a doctor post his graduation. His most
famous award is the Mystery Writers of America s Edgar Allen Poe Award (1968) and he also
won an Emmy for the best dramatic series in 1996 (michaelcritchon.com). Michael had an
interesting style when he wrote these two books. He writes with a very imaginative writing style
that makes ideas come out of nowhere and with that comes a lot of editing because it takes a lot
of time to make an idea into a good story. Jurassic Park the book, was also written by Michael
Crichton, the book is very similar to the movie in

Stanley Holes Quotes
If you did something really bad almost maleficent after you got caught where would you go? In
the novel Holes by Louis Sachar, the main character Stanley gets accused of stealing and is sent to
Camp Green Lake. The whole camp is almost a joke considering there is no lake and there is
definitely nothing green. The setting and character had a major influence on Stanley.
In the novel Holes, the main character goes through major changes after being sent to Camp
Green Lake. If you take a bad boy and make him dig a hole every day in the hot sun it will turn him
into a good boy , is the motto of Camp Green Lake. Digging a hole doesn t seem like a good form
of punishment. It would turn him into a thirsty and sweaty boy but not a good one. Making kids

Persuasive Essay On Forest Fire
So, why is it good to utilize controlled forest fires? Well, for certain they help tremendously in
cleaning forest floors of brush, dead and infected plants, and provides a clean slate for new
plants to grow. A common argument to this would be, It will most and likely become
uncontrollable, and therefore should not be used with so many variable conditions available for
change. This rebuttal is not only irrational, but completely ignorant of the fact that this will
happen anyways whether its man made or natural. It continues the carbon cycle as the planet
itself needs to be able to continue to support life within it s atmosphere. To start with a certain
topic, breaking down the idea of cleaning the forest floor is the first topic. Fire, as many would
know, is one of the resources that will put carbon back into the ground or plants around a certain
area. None of this is relevant when you think with the closed mind of It will destroy the forest. It s
actually quite the opposite. Letting the fire burn out the floor of the forest will bring down some
trees yes, but it will also turn that back into a material that the earth itself can use to rejuvenate the
soil and the stock pile of nutrients within it. It then gives the chance for the next coming generation
of plants a more plentiful supply of the materials it needs to live. Not to mention, the plants that are
carrying bacteria and viruses that could do exponential damage to the surrounding plants and
animals are destroyed, and the ashes purified.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Multicultural Differences In Modern Canadian Society

Not all people in modern Canadian society are equal. Gender differences are a big part of society.

Which leads to major equality issues. Due to all the immigrants coming to Canada looking for a
better life the Canadian culture continues to expand. Most people think that just because you can
get greek, chinese, etc food in Canada that Canada is multicultural and make it seem like you
can express your identity and be open to any religion but, all the Canadians that discriminate
against the immigrants cause people to get offended and makes some feel less equal. According
to law everyone in Canada is equal and is aloud to express their culture s identity, but the
Canadians citizens of Canada disagree. Some Canadians think it s unfair that the government will
pay immigrants to live in Canada and help them assimilate to new culture, while the Canadians
think the unfair part is they have to work for all that without getting paid, while the Canadians

People wouldn t feel safe at school because all the threats and hate that was getting thrown at them.

All Quiet And The Western Front By Erich Maria Remarque
We are forlorn like children, and experienced like old men, we are crude and sorrowful and
superficial, I believe we are lost (Remarque 123). World War I is a tragic event that occurred in
1914 to 1918. Paul Baumer and the rest of the soldiers in the novel of All Quiet in the Western
Front by Erich Maria Remarque are lost; they are broken from the fist World War, they don t
know anything aside from War, and they have lost their innocence during the years of
maturation. When the young men heard about the War, they were excited, and full of life, they
thought they were going on an adventure. The adventure began on July 28th, 1914 and Paul
Baumer is five miles behind a French front. As the First World War begins, the soldiers believe it
is honorable to join but as they spend more time in war and gain experience they realize war is a
lot different from what they had in mind. The soldiers become more hopeless as the days and
years pass. The life in the trenches was risky, and every day could be the soldiers last. I am so
alone and so without hope that I can confront them without fear (Remarque 295). This quotation
shows how Paul Baumer has lost all his hope, and desire. The soldiers no longer fight for their
country, they do not desire to make it out alive, the First World War has made them so miserable,
and so hopeless they have lost feelings for everything. Everyone except for Paul Baumer has died
from his class. It is the beautiful season of autumn, and it starts by

Cause And Effect Of Jfk Assassination
One of the most tragic moments in U.S. history happened before the naked eye. John F. Kennedy s
brutal assassination. Lee Harvey Oswald was the suspected assassin, but why would a former U.S
marine kill the president of the country he went to war for? Assassination means murdered for
political reasons. I believe that Kennedy s assassinationwas part of a much bigger plot, carried out
by more than just one lone assassin, and was planned well prior. Oswald was just an easy mark
to pin the crime on, he was set up, ...most likely by the CIA,who he was speculated to be a
member of. (Morley) Kennedy wanted to help poor people and wanted to help improve
government health facilities, schools and houses, and he was murdered for it, what would one lone

Animal Farm George Orwell Analysis
On the surface, George Orwell s novel Animal Farm is about a group of neglected animals that
overthrow their owner and take control of their farm. However, under the surface this novel is an
allegory detailing the events of the Russian Revolution. Orwell wrote Animal Farm in the
response to the corruption happening during the Russian Revolution. This was his first political
and artistic purpose. The authors use of anthropomorphism and common diction leads us to
believe he intended the novel to be read by the everyday man or lay person. Orwell wrote this as
a warning to the readers with its central theme that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts.
The author uses a detached 3rd person narrative to describe the events as they unfold in the story.
While Orwell uses many stylistic devices in Animal Farm the two that impact the reader the most
while developing the message are symbolism and irony.Ultimately, Orwell effectively fuses ( or
blends) his political and artistic purpose into a single powerful work of art in his short novel
Animal Farm.

Chemical elements can cause harmful effects on human health due to the use of plants that are
grown in contaminated soil. Through bioaccumulation, over plants that absorb an element from the
soil, elements enter into the food chain and shall be deposited in the human body. Root system in
plants plays an important role in the distribution of elements from the soil through the plant.
Elevated pH values can affect the lack of accessible forms of specific nutritious elements. The
value of pH has a decisive influence on the dynamics of all the elements in the soil, especially
micro elements and heavy metals. In the acidic environment the solubility of metals increases, they
cross to the solution of the soil from which the plant adopted them, which can lead to greater
adoption of these elements by plants. The increase in soil acidity reduces the amount of plant
available phosphorus, which by binding to iron and aluminum becomes difficult soluble phosphates

A Study On Annan Academy s Geography Class
Carlisle is the only city in Cumbria, automatically making it the administrative centre of the county.
Other than administration, Carlisle has several other areas in which its activities are focused, such
as tourism, shopping, and education. These areas are known as settlement functions. Functions tend
to change and develop as a city grows over the years. Carlisleis a successful city, but whether or not
this is due to its changing functions is debatable.
Annan Academy s Geography class went to Carlisle in September 2015 to obtain primary research
data of the city s geographical issues.
Method 1
In order to figure out some of the current main functions of Carlisle, the first research method used
for this report was two RICEPOTS surveys of different areas in Carlisle the CBD (the square near
the Tourist InformationCentre) and the area from West Tower Street to Corporation Road. These
areas were chosen to display a contrast in the land usage of two areas of Carlisle which are close
together. The RICEPOTS surveys were completed by walking around the areas and annotating a
map with the purpose of each building in the area. Once both maps were annotated, the information
was put into a table before being compiled into a comparative bar graph (see: Graph 1).
The results show that West Tower Street to Corporation Road is largely residential, with 35 terraced
houses, and that the square near the Tourist Information Centre is largely commercial with 47

have worked in a pharmacy over many years and have seen many mistakes happen with a good and
bad ending. The two most common mistakes that are not the fault of the pharmacist are giving the
wrong prescription to the wrong customer at check out and not following HIPPA standards.
There are many cases where customers can have common names and are given the wrong
prescription due to lack of verification. I have personally heard of a customer calling back
because they realized they have the wrong medication. An instance of such could go in a very bad
direction if a customer takes the medication and causes health problems or death, which would
result in a malpractice lawsuit. Although it was not the pharmacist error because it was an
employee working under the pharmacist, the pharmacist could lose their license and much money
due to this mistake. As long as the pharmacist has professional liability insurance this mistake
would be covered and licenses would not be threatened to be taken. Another main area for possible
lawsuits would be disregarding or not following HIPPA regulations properly. In

Observation Essay The Barbershop
Immediately I recognized that things were different, as I struggled to find a parking spot in the
tiny lot hidden just off of the highway. The barbershop is located in an area too small to be
considered a strip mall and apparently too small to handle all of its customers vehicles. It is the
third in a row of three shops, although the first, a former ice cream/water ice business, was for
rent. I knew that all of the drivers of the automobiles in the lot were in the barbershop, as the repair
shop next to it does not open until 9 A.M. Apparently all Saturday mornings here begin with such a

A tiny television with a screen approximately six inches high, located in the middle of the four
barbers stations, was displaying CNN, but the sound was turned down. When the razors stopped
buzzing, the classic rock radio station seemed to blare through the quiet. Despite the open door, the
air conditioner was moaning softly in the background.
I took this opportunity to examine my surroundings. To the right of the opened front door was a
gumball machine and a green leafy plant. The counter in front of the door seemed to have no
immediate purpose, except to hold another leafy plant and some additional magazines that were
strewn about it. Above the chairs where I was sitting was a mirror, which I presume is used by
the nervous customer who wants to keep an eye on the way in which the barber cuts his hair.
Another wall sectioned off an area from the four barbers stations, which I knew to be the owner
s workspace. His station basically was set up as were the others, but he had more room in which
to work. There was one sink on the opposite side of his wall for use in case a customer wanted a
premium cut, which includes a shampoo and conditioning wash or a color treatment. In the corner,
between the sink and the fourth barber s station, was the ATM, conveniently located next to the
cash register. This is practical because the barbershop only accepts cash for payment.

The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge
Introduction
For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very
hard to predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment.
The Ice Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in
the travel and hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation
of their success the decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures
can be categorized as effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja
suggests that causational logic is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual
strategy is more creative and is control orientated. Each of these approaches implies different
strategies and reasoning behind both individual decisions and responsiveness to the environment.
Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of common principles that are key for building a
business strategy including defining means, setting affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and
forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects are crucial for understanding how is a
business created and what is its approach. However, it should be noted that most of the businesses
are not strictly effectual or causal, rather a mixture of both with a tilt towards one. Every business
is individual and should be treated like one. This paper will examine the business strategies behind

The Shipm An Older Man Who Walked With The Most Subtle Essay
The Shipman was an older man who walked with the most subtle of limps in his step. His eyes
twinkled when spoke of the sea and of his family. When he laughed, his whole body shook. He
was a friendly sort and spoke easily with most of the company, only seeming to become quiet
around those he considered vile, such as the Doctor or any that spoke wrongly of a woman or
Ethiopian. Some of the company teased him about his quick fingers and how he used them to take
wine from the captains quarters, and he simply glowed with pride. When it was his turn to tell a
tale, the company gathered around eagerly. Each was certain that someone so experienced would
know a few great ones. However, an unusual bashfulness came over the man, as if he forgot he
would have to tell a tale at all. After a few playful jibes, though, he began to speak.
The Shipman s Tale
Many years ago, in a village that was not too different from any other, there lived a poor son of
blacksmith named Fendrel who dreamt of being a knight. The other villagers looked down upon
the lad for his aspirations, citing his father s occupation and his mother s birthplace as their reasons,
yet he paid little attention to their scoffing. He trained, night and day, until he was the best

In March, by Geraldine Brooks, we learn about the political time period of the American Civil
War. The main character, Mr. March is an avid abolitionist on the Union side working as a
chaplain. An idealistic Mr. March goes against his moral code of pacifism, and takes action by
joining the American Civil War. If March is not as idealistic as he is, he never would have fought
in the war.
Throughout the novel, one recurring theme in Mr. March s life are his decisions whether to take
action against injustices or not. Mr. March lives his life by the moral codes of his religious beliefs
of pacifism, and anti slavery. When Mr. March is contemplating the idea of going to war, he
considers one hand, if he goes he will be going against his religion of pacifism. On the other hand,
if he goes, he would be impressing Marmee, fighting for abolitionism, and he believes others will
respect him for being a solider. He decides to take action and put his abolitionist values, pride and
Marmee s admiration above those of pacifism. If he does not take action, he would feel he had
been a part of the continuation of slavery, and in his mind, commit a sin against slaves. Another
time when Mr. March has to decide between action and inaction is when the rebel irregulars attack
the plantation and take many people captive. Mr. March hides in a hole in the cotton seed pile, and
when the rebel irregulars call for him to come out or they threaten to kill Ptolemy, he has to decide
between

Essay about Isolation in Winesburg Ohio and Death in The...
Isolation in Winesburg Ohio and Death in The Woods
In 1919, Sherwood Anderson composed his work Winesburg Ohio, which depicts the inner lives
of small town America. Anderson s fascination to explore what s beneath the surface of human
lives results in another story in 1933 called Death In The Woods . These two works, incidentally,
share a common theme of isolation. The characters in these works, are portrayed as grotesques or
people who live their lives by one truth, thus living a life of falsehood and isolation from the rest
of the world. This essay will examine the theme of isolation in the two works described, and will
also relate it to Anderson s idea of the grotesque .
In Winesburg Ohio, the reader is first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These short stories are linked through the character of George Willard, who is essentially the main
character. Because of this, Winesburg is considered a Bildungsroman, the character development of
George the artist to George the man . His development occurs through his contact and dealing with
the characters in the stories. Each character offers something new in his development, as in advice
or wisdom. These grotesques rely on George to take notice of their isolation and falsehood, in
hopes of George publishing their truths : Each in turn comes forward to offer his secret (the
material of art)
And to give up whatever fragmentary wisdom he may possess Toward the development of the artist
who will be the spokesman. For everyone. (Fussell, p.111). So, it is through these encounters with
George that the reader is introduced to the strong sense of isolation and underdevelopment the
characters possess.
The first example, is in the story Hands . Here, the character of Wing Biddlbaum is introduced,
and right from the start, appears to have isolated himself from the rest of society. Among all the
people of Winesburg but one had come close to him. (p.27). This one person, is of course
George Willard, who is portrayed in this first story as a friend of Wing Biddlbaum. George is
someone he can talk to, break free temporarily of his isolation. In addition to talking openly with
George enthusiastically, he also was very expressive and active

Similarities Between Gilgamesh And Noah
The Epic of Gilgamesh and Noah and the Ark are two very famous stories that contain a variety
of similarities and differences. The story of Gilgamesh, dating back to the third millennium
B.C.E., tells the story of the hero, Gilgamesh, trying to find a way to become immortal after the
death of his friend, Enkidu. He confides in and listens to the story of Utnapishtim, a former mortal
whom the gods granted eternal life to after he was chosen to survive the wrath that was brought
down upon mankind. The story of Noah, which dates back to around 2349 B.C.E. 2348 B.C.E.,
tells the story of a man named Noah who was spared by God after He also exterminated mankind.
There are many comparisons for these stories, including the floods used for human punishment, the
release of birds once the flood ended, and the underlying fact that both protagonists, Utnapishtim
and Noah, were righteous heroes. However, these stories do contain differences, such as the dates
of when the stories took place, the length of both the floods, and the landing location of their boats.
One of the main similarities between The Epic of Gilgameshand Noah and the Ark was the floods
used for human punishment. In the story of Gilgamesh, the god Enil heard the clamor of humans
and was aroused by the noise, becoming frustrated with mankind since he was not able to sleep.
He went to the gods in council to beg his case, which led to everyone coming in agreement to
exterminating mankind using a flood. The god Ea warned

Teaching Reading Comprehension
Introduction
What is reading? Reading is about understanding written texts. It is a complex activity that involves
both perception and thought. Reading consists of two related processes: word recognition and
comprehension. Word recognition refers to the process of perceiving how written symbols
correspond to one s spoken language. Comprehension is the process of making sense of words,
sentences and connected text. Readers typically make use of background knowledge, vocabulary,
grammatical knowledge, experience with text and other strategies to help them understand written
text.
Researchs and classroom practices support the use of a balanced approach in teaching reading
comprehension. Because reading comprehension depends on efficient ... Show more content on

A person may also read for enjoyment, or to enhance knowledge of the language being read. The
purpose(s) for reading guide the reader s selection of texts.
The purpose for reading also determines the appropriate approach to reading comprehension. A
person who needs to know whether she can afford to eat at a particular restaurant needs to
comprehend the pricing information provided on the menu, but does not need to recognize the
name of every appetizer listed. A person reading poetry for enjoyment needs to recognize the
words the poet uses and the ways they are put together, but does not need to identify main idea and
supporting details. However, a person using a scientific article to support an opinion needs to know
the vocabulary that is used, understand the facts and cause effect sequences that are presented, and
recognize ideas that are presented as hypotheses and givens.
Reading research shows that good readers
В·Read extensively
В·Integrate information in the text with existing knowledge
В·Have a flexible reading style, depending on what they are reading
В·Are motivated
В·Rely on different skills interacting: perceptual processing, phonemic processing, recall

Marks Spencer (M S) is a major British retailer, with over 840 stores in more than 30 countries

The rising cost of using British suppliers was also a burden, as rival retailers increasingly
imported their goods from low cost countries, but M S s belated switch to overseas suppliers
undermined a core part of its appeal to the public. Another factor was the company s refusal until
2000 to accept any credit cards except its own store card.[13] In addition, as an ageing and famously
bureaucratic company, it was losing touch with potential younger customers, who were reluctant to
shop with it. At the same time Greenbury, who had dominated the company, had his attention
diverted by the Prime Minister s committee on directors pay.
These factors combined to plunge M S into a sudden slump, which took the company, its
shareholders, who included hundreds of thousands of small investors, and nearly all retail analysts
and business journalists, by surprise. The company s share price fell by more than two thirds, and
its profits fell from more than a billion pounds in 1997 and 1998 to ВЈ145 million in the year
ended 31 March 2001.[14]
Since the late 1990s M S has experienced serious boardroom instability and has made a number of
attempts to revive its business, with only partial success. By 1999, Online Shopping was brought
in, and the company grew with new sales of fashion clothing. In 2001, with changes in its business
focus such as taking credit cards, the introduction of the

The law reform process has been effective to a certain extent in achieving just outcomes in
regards to native title. This can be seen through both the Eddie Mabo case [1992] and the Yorta
Yorta case [2002] as although the cases had been concluded with final decisions, there were still
measures that could have been taken, and areas where it could have been improved to achieve a
just outcome.
MABO V QUEENSLAND (NO.2) [1992] HCA 23
In 1992, the doctrine of terra nullius was overruled by the High Court in the case Mabo v

YORTA YORTA V QUEENSLAND
The Yorta Yorta people were one of the first Indigenous groups to make a native title claim in
Australia, in February 1994. The Yorta Yorta people claimed native title to an area of land and
waters in the Northern Victoria and Southern New South Wales. However, the High Court rejected
the appeal, and it was concluded by the judge that the Yorta Yorta people had ceased to occupy
their traditional lands with relation to their traditional laws and customs, and that the period of time
in between had washed away any evidence and acknowledgement of the practise of their traditional
laws and customs. In order for Indigenous people to prove their Native Title rights, they must prove
that they have had an uninterrupted connection with the land and the practise of the traditional
laws and customs has been maintained since time of colonization. This rule disregards the effects
of colonization; that indigenous people have been forcibly removed from their homes, cultures
being forcibly altered which all results in an adaption to the new environment and way of life.
Therefore, the required burden of proof is quite discriminatory, making it increasingly difficult for
Indigenous people to prove

The 1920s and the Foundations of Today Essay examples
The 1920s exemplified a new era of wealth, prosperity, and change. The 1920s were a time of
social changes, cultural conflicts, and political change. New ways of life, including the flapper
lifestyle, played a big role in shaping the new generation. Machines and inventions fabricated more
free time, while simultaneously higher wages were a result of the expanding prosperity. However,
this prosperity brought downsides and corruption. For example, alcohol was prohibited in the 1920s
. Many who opposed this law went to speakeasies, illegal bars that sold alcohol. The Teapot Dome
Scandal, where Albert Bacon Fall decided to lease his controlled land as supervisor of the naval oil
reserve lands for millions of dollars, resulted in a loss... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many people bought radios, as they were cheap and effective. The radio was a useful tool for
emergencies. If a weather emergency took place, people nearby would be warned hours before
it hit due to the radio. It was also important in that the range of radios was limited. That way, the
entire world would not know about a small thunderstorm in a small town. However, the reverse
could be true. The radio also worked long range, and was important in telling the United States
population if war had started, or about other big news, like the Stock Market Crash. The radio
was also a very important form of communication in war. World War II was the first war that was
a technology based war. The war had soldiers and commanders communicating and forming a
strategy on the radio. The radio also sent propaganda to increase production for the war. The
radio also had a huge impact on the 1920s because it spread religion, culture, and society news.
The radio was the reason that the flapper lifestyle became popular, because it was broadcasted
frequently on the radio. It also let people know about the Harlem Renaissance, a Black gathering
of music and art, the Red Scare, where America tried to exterminate communism , and new laws
such as Prohibition. A hugely important example of the radio was the Scopes Trial. This was a
major debate between Scopes and the State, where Scopes broke the law by teaching evolution.
Many expressed that the law banning the teaching of evolution

In 1919, the Rowlatt Act gave extensive powers to the British government and police, and allowed

  • 3. Nature of B2B Demand The nature of the demand for industrial products or services is different compared with consumer products and poses unique challenges . Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Support your position with reference to an example of a company chosen from one of the following industries automotive, telecommunications, information technology (computing), fast moving consumer goods and medical equipment. The nature of business to business marketing differs in many areas with business to consumer marketing. The different nature of business to business marketing poses unique challenges and raises issues that differ from issues arising from consumer marketing. The nature of demand, or the characteristics of demand for business products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another characteristic that differentiate between business to business market demand and business to consumer is that business to business products tend to have inelastic demand (Hutt amp; Speh, 2010). This principle shows that business to business product has demand characteristics with no correlation with price. BD had increased the price of its evacuated blood collection tube between 1979 to 1985 from 6 cents per unit to 8 cents per unit, where as its competitor, Terumo, a Japanese firm has kept its price at 6.5 cents per unit. However, BD has not lost its market share, which was kept at roughly 80 per cent while Terumo had increased its market share from 10 per cent to 20 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993). This change in market share for Terumo, can be explained by other means rather than arguing that Terumo, by keeping its price, absorbing any cost increases and inflation, has created an elastic demand like in business to consumer. This argument is highlighted in the fact that in the market for blood collection needles in the same period, even though both BD and Terumo had kept its per unit price at 7.5 cents, BD market share has dropped from 40 per cent to 30 BD while Terumo doubled its market share from 25 per cent to 50 per cent (Cespedes amp; Rangan, 1993). Finally, a global market perspective must be taken by a marketer in business to business marketing. The demand for many business ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Aesthetics And Its Impact On The Lives Of People Abstract Aesthetics is an esoteric subject but manages to be appealing to many readers. Aesthetics are a form of philosophy which deals with nature, beauty, art, and taste and appreciation for truly beautiful things. From art aesthetics to, aesthetic judgment, normativity in aesthetics et cetera et cetera. Aestheticsin general have been around for centuries. The most significant figures in the aesthetic tear of philosophy are figures such as Plato, Emmanuel Kant, Friedrich Nietzsche. The unrecognized significance of Aesthetics I think everything in life is art. What you do, how you dress, the way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality, what you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea, how you decorate your home, or party; your grocery list, the food you make, how your writing looks, and the way you feel. Life is art. Helena Bonham Carter. Everything I seem to appreciate I note that one way or another I end up relating whatever it is that stimulates my mind to art always. I m constantly thinking in my mind how the smallest of things can drastically change the appearance of things, the way they make you feel and communicate essentially. One word in which you can observe me saying nearly in every sentence is the word aesthetic . The word aesthetic lacks usage and is absent in the vocabulary of various people I have spoken to throughout my life, by no means am I suggesting for the word to be clichГ©d, but it is note worthy to say that it is definitely under used. Aesthetics are essentially the reasoning and acumen behind literally everything you can think of. It s the reason you wear those shoes your currently wearing, because they look nice . It s the reason you are with your girlfriend and vice versa because you guys. It s literally the reason behind why you put that specific piece of furniture you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Roe vs Wade In 1973, the Supreme Court made a decision in one of the most controversial cases in history, the case of Roe v. Wade (410 U.S. 113 (1973)), in which abortion was legalized and state anti abortion statues were struck down for being unconstitutional. This essay will provide a brief history and analysis of the issues of this case for both the woman s rights and the states interest in the matter. Also, this essay will address the basis for the court ruling in Roe s favor and the effects this decision has had on subsequent cases involving a woman s right to choose abortion in the United States. The court s decision created legal precedent for several subsequent abortion restriction cases and has led to the development of legislation to protect women s health rights. Although the Supreme Court s decision in Roe v. Wade was a historic victory for women s rights, it is still an extremely controversial subject today and continues to be challenged by various groups. Roe v. Wade Case Law Analysis Before 1973, abortion access was determined by state legislature for each individual state with no consistency across the United States. Some states allowed abortions but most state statues heavily restricted or completely banned abortion. The restricted states would generally only allow abortion in the event of rape, incest, fetal anomalies, or the woman s life is at risk. The state of Texas enforced a state statute that made it illegal for an abortion to be performed unless the woman s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Otto Von Bismarck Impact On Germany The nation of Germany has had a significant impact on the history of the world. In the early twentieth century the country presented itself as one of the strongest military powers of Europe and a major participant of the First World War. In the mid twentieth century, under the command of Adolf Hitler, Germany initiated the Second World War. Today, Germany is an economically developed nation, even with the many troubles it faced after the end of the Second World War. This major power, which caused a stir in the twentieth century, was in most part created by the Junker Otto von Bismarck. Bismarck used the system of realpolitik to unite the divided German states under Prussia. Had Bismarck not been involved in the German unification, it is extremely likely that the powerful German empirewhich made its mark in history would not exist and the impacts it made on the world would be nullified. Otto von Bismarck was the son of a Brandenburg squire and a wealthy mother. Bismarck s mother sent him to Berlin for schooling so he could one day have a career in Prussian civil service. After ... • 10. What Does It Mean To Be A Girl It s a girl! Most parents fantasize about hearing those precious and promising words because soon a little girl will make its way into their life and she will be sweet, innocent, and pure. Nothing will hurt that child, but unfortunately those parents are blinded by the happiness of the moment and do not realize that the little girlwill grow up and be worth less than her husband and she will be worth less in society. In Merriam Webster s Unabridged Dictionary the word girl means a femalechild from birth to adulthood, but in addition to this simple word there holds an immense amount of meaning. Four letters and that s all it takes for someone to roll their eyes and laugh because that word is linked to weakness, negativity, and obnoxious... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a girl you are expected to break, but in reality girls have to pretend nothing will break them or they will again be judged by society. This tends to be the case because if a girl breaks it will just add fire to the sexist prejudices put upon them as a gender. In Serena Nanda s article Arranging a Marriage in India, she talks about her research in India, when a son s parents are looking for a wife for their son they have a very long list of expectations. She should be from the same caste system, pretty, not too intelligent, meshes with the family well, doesn t stray from home, nor does she gossip or call home a lot, and the most important thing is that she is pure before marriage. Though these expectations tend to look somewhat different in the U.S. they have the same ideas. A girl should be boxed in away from society and taking care of the children or perhaps being a good cook to put it into simpler terms because that is what society unfairly tells us a girl should be able to do. Serena also talks about how it is very important for a girl to protect the family name and in no way ever disgrace it. If that girl does disgrace the family (for example not staying pure) it is not uncommon for her brother or even cousin to murder her. Why is a family s expectations based on what a girl does? These unrealistic expectations push girls too far and cause us to think our worth is less because we cannot do it all, even though society thinks that s the least we could ... • 11. The Moral Permissibility Of Abortion Moral Permissibility of Abortion Abortion has been a debating issue for many decades. Most of the countries, permit abortion, however, some religions and countries consider abortion to be morally and ethically impermissible. In Canada, the abortion was legalized in 1988 based on the fact that the law should not force a women to carry a fetus beyond her priorities as it would interfere with her body and her own securities towards life. Many would argue against this view by stating that a fetus does have a right to live and thus, abortion is morally wrong. I believe that abortion is morally and ethically permissible as long as it does not violate significant rights of others. The case of Deb and Derek is a perfect example to support my view towards abortion. A primary source shows its original origin of a story of history. Primary sources are originals normally a diary or journal or artifact such as the artifacts found in the Iceman story and Death on the Railroad. Secondary sources are broader. It defeats its own purpose in attacking from within the very people it s supposed to protect. In fact, it does almost the opposite by provoking a fear and paranoia that tends to remind us of such wonderful events like the Spanish inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials. The ACLU talks about several groups that are unfairly targeted by the Act to the extent that the constitution is being violated. Like the story A P, Sammy made a huge decision to quit his job due to his boss being rude to three young girls wearing bathing suits. John Updike used several literary elements to make the story stand out and for people to relate to Sammy. The most important elements that is used in this story is setting, point of view, and characters. Firstly, setting plays a crucial part of the story because of where and when the story takes place. Analysis Of The Movie Jurassic Park Literary Criticism involves a critic or just a reader who criticizes literary elements in a piece of work such as those in books and articles just to mention a few, in this case we are referring to the Jurassic Park series. Jurassic Park is a four part movie series that has a pretty common, redundant style throughout the movies. In the series, it includes Jurassic Park, Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World, which includes all elements that are to be expected in an action, dramatic sci fi movie. The present criticism in this series is structuralism and the author s writing style towards the movies gets more intense as the series progresses along. Well, for certain they help tremendously in cleaning forest floors of brush, dead and infected plants, and provides a clean slate for new plants to grow. A common argument to this would be, It will most and likely become uncontrollable, and therefore should not be used with so many variable conditions available for change. This rebuttal is not only irrational, but completely ignorant of the fact that this will happen anyways whether its man made or natural. It continues the carbon cycle as the planet itself needs to be able to continue to support life within it s atmosphere. To start with a certain topic, breaking down the idea of cleaning the forest floor is the first topic. Fire, as many would know, is one of the resources that will put carbon back into the ground or plants around a certain area. None of this is relevant when you think with the closed mind of It will destroy the forest. It s actually quite the opposite. Letting the fire burn out the floor of the forest will bring down some trees yes, but it will also turn that back into a material that the earth itself can use to rejuvenate the soil and the stock pile of nutrients within it. • 31. Animal Farm George Orwell Analysis On the surface, George Orwell s novel Animal Farm is about a group of neglected animals that overthrow their owner and take control of their farm. However, under the surface this novel is an allegory detailing the events of the Russian Revolution. Orwell wrote Animal Farm in the response to the corruption happening during the Russian Revolution. This was his first political and artistic purpose. The authors use of anthropomorphism and common diction leads us to believe he intended the novel to be read by the everyday man or lay person. Orwell wrote this as a warning to the readers with its central theme that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts. The author uses a detached 3rd person narrative to describe the events as they unfold in the story. While Orwell uses many stylistic devices in Animal Farm the two that impact the reader the most while developing the message are symbolism and irony.Ultimately, Orwell effectively fuses ( or blends) his political and artistic purpose into a single powerful work of art in his short novel Animal Farm. George Orwell s essay Why I Write is a small bibliography about his experiences with writing and how his writing has changed over time. In this he also includes some of the 4 purposes of writing. Descriptive Essay On Mexican Mayan Temple 5 Must see Mexican Mayan Temples Without a doubt, one of the most visually stunning and physically overwhelming things I ve come across on my travels are the ancient temples of Central America. In this article, I m going to delve into some of the ones I was lucky enough to experience. Now, it s important to point out early on, that this is by no means a list of the best temples and covers only a very, very small portion of a vast expansive network of temples scattered across the continent. However, this is a list of my personal favourites and of temples, I would highly recommend anyone in the area (or thinking of going to the area) visits. Tulum In many senses, Tulum has it all. • 34. A Study On Annan Academy s Geography Class Carlisle is the only city in Cumbria, automatically making it the administrative centre of the county. Other than administration, Carlisle has several other areas in which its activities are focused, such as tourism, shopping, and education. These areas are known as settlement functions. Functions tend to change and develop as a city grows over the years. Carlisleis a successful city, but whether or not this is due to its changing functions is debatable. Annan Academy s Geography class went to Carlisle in September 2015 to obtain primary research data of the city s geographical issues. Method 1 In order to figure out some of the current main functions of Carlisle, the first research method used for this report was two RICEPOTS surveys of different areas in Carlisle the CBD (the square near the Tourist InformationCentre) and the area from West Tower Street to Corporation Road. These areas were chosen to display a contrast in the land usage of two areas of Carlisle which are close together. The RICEPOTS surveys were completed by walking around the areas and annotating a map with the purpose of each building in the area. Once both maps were annotated, the information was put into a table before being compiled into a comparative bar graph (see: Graph 1). The results show that West Tower Street to Corporation Road is largely residential, with 35 terraced houses, and that the square near the Tourist Information Centre is largely commercial with 47 specialist shops ... The two most common mistakes that are not the fault of the pharmacist are giving the wrong prescription to the wrong customer at check out and not following HIPPA standards. There are many cases where customers can have common names and are given the wrong prescription due to lack of verification. I have personally heard of a customer calling back because they realized they have the wrong medication. An instance of such could go in a very bad direction if a customer takes the medication and causes health problems or death, which would result in a malpractice lawsuit. Although it was not the pharmacist error because it was an employee working under the pharmacist, the pharmacist could lose their license and much money due to this mistake. As long as the pharmacist has professional liability insurance this mistake would be covered and licenses would not be threatened to be taken. Another main area for possible lawsuits would be disregarding or not following HIPPA regulations properly. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Ice Hotel And The Travelodge Introduction For a long time researchers are trying to find the perfect recipe for success, however it is very hard to predict the response of the market to a new product and its adaptation to the environment. The Ice Hotel and the Travelodge are two ventures established in the end of 20th century both in the travel and hospitality sector but each one with its own unique business strategy. In evaluation of their success the decisions made throughout the development of the above mentioned ventures can be categorized as effectual and causal, as explained by Sarasvathy (2010). G.Sanvikarja suggests that causational logic is more rational and based on prediction where as the effectual strategy is more creative and is control orientated. Each of these approaches implies different strategies and reasoning behind both individual decisions and responsiveness to the environment. Furthermore, most enterprises follow a set of common principles that are key for building a business strategy including defining means, setting affordable loss, leveraging contingencies and forming partnerships (S. et. al, 2010). These four aspects are crucial for understanding how is a business created and what is its approach. However, it should be noted that most of the businesses are not strictly effectual or causal, rather a mixture of both with a tilt towards one. Every business is individual and should be treated like one. This paper will examine the business strategies behind the Ice Hotel and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was a friendly sort and spoke easily with most of the company, only seeming to become quiet around those he considered vile, such as the Doctor or any that spoke wrongly of a woman or Ethiopian. Some of the company teased him about his quick fingers and how he used them to take wine from the captains quarters, and he simply glowed with pride. When it was his turn to tell a tale, the company gathered around eagerly. Each was certain that someone so experienced would know a few great ones. However, an unusual bashfulness came over the man, as if he forgot he would have to tell a tale at all. After a few playful jibes, though, he began to speak. The main character, Mr. March is an avid abolitionist on the Union side working as a chaplain. An idealistic Mr. March goes against his moral code of pacifism, and takes action by joining the American Civil War. If March is not as idealistic as he is, he never would have fought in the war. Throughout the novel, one recurring theme in Mr. March s life are his decisions whether to take action against injustices or not. Mr. March lives his life by the moral codes of his religious beliefs of pacifism, and anti slavery. When Mr. March is contemplating the idea of going to war, he considers one hand, if he goes he will be going against his religion of pacifism. On the other hand, if he goes, he would be impressing Marmee, fighting for abolitionism, and he believes others will respect him for being a solider. He decides to take action and put his abolitionist values, pride and Marmee s admiration above those of pacifism. If he does not take action, he would feel he had been a part of the continuation of slavery, and in his mind, commit a sin against slaves. Another time when Mr. March has to decide between action and inaction is when the rebel irregulars attack the plantation and take many people captive.
