Donatello And David Donatello
Donatello was the greatest Italian sculptor before Michelangelo and was the most influential artist of
the 15th century in Italy. Donatello was born in Florence, in 1386, and was recognized by populars
sculptors and quickly learned the gothic style. By 1408, Donatello was working to the cathedral and
there, he completed a life size marble sculpture named David. The sculpture was in the Gothic style,
and was placed in Palazzo Vecchio (the town hall) as a symbol of the challenge of authority to the
people who lived at Florence. After a while, Donatello´s style began to be more mature and he created
his own style of arts, with sculptures in a much more dramatic and emotional way. Some years later,
Donatello had a reputation for creating larger

The Strategy Of Airasia X
Problem Statement
In 2001, AirAsia was founded by Tony Fernandes. After six years, Fernandes realized the company
should create a airline separated from AirAsia to focus on the low cost long haul market which he
called AirAsia X. Azran Osman Rani was appointed to the become the CEO of the newly established
company. The company had an initial success by being the first mover. However, there were some
problems that they had to face along the way as they were in a completely new market using an
untried business model. One of the main challenges for the company is the protectionist measures
taken by the Malaysian government to protect the national airline, Malaysia Airlines (MAS). The
other major problem is the limitations on the general ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This helped X to increase the seating capacity by 20 percent. X also had a flexible flight schedule as
its aircraft was in the air for 16 hours per day in average, which is much higher than the industry
average of 11 hours per day.
SWOT Analysis
AirAsia X s main strength is the low price that it offers for customers. For most airlines in the
industry, it is extremely difficult to keep the price low for long haul flights as the full services offered
in most airlines increase the operating costs. In addition, X also benefited from the expansive network,
infrastructure and customers that AirAsia already has that enabled them to grow fast with good
financial outcomes. On the other hand, X s main weakness is the technology. The website always
crashes and the company doesn t have its own database of customers. X also doesn t enjoy from a
strong relationship with the Malaysian Transport Ministry. This can be detrimental to the company as
it finds competing with Malaysia Airlines in some profitable routes to be difficult. However, X has
some opportunities. For example, in order to keep the low price ticket, cooperating with fuel
companies which will offer low fuel price and increasing demand in low cost airlines will bring
profits. The major threat for AirAsia X is the protectionist measures taken by the Malaysian
government that prevented X from flying planes to some destinations with high demand. This would
have been a very

Challenges Of Homelessness In The United States Today
Challenges of being Homeless
Homelessness is a very big issue in the United States today. Homeless people are living on dirty
streets, crowded sidewalks, under bridges, on benches, in tents, and many more grimy places. These
places are not fit for any person to live in and still these people call it their home . Through freezing
winters and blazing hot summers, homeless people seem to face it all. The conditions the homeless
face are brutal because they spend days in the blazing heat, months in the freezing cold, and years in
their filthy home .
Days in the Heat
First of all, homeless people face harsh conditions while living on the streets because they spend days
in the blazing summer heat. For the homeless, turning on the AC during a hot ... Show more content

Officials said the conditions inside the camp are unsanitary and dangerous for the approximately 300
homeless people living there. (Q13 Fox)(7). For some homeless people, camps are considered their

to their enormous list of problems on top of being homeless. Jam packed camps could easily be a
widespread field of diseases and illnesses, especially in the cold season where everyone seems to
catch a disease or illness. Scoggins said the living conditions in the unsanctioned homeless camp are
tragic and unsanitary. (Q13 Fox)(6). Many homeless people spend years living in homeless camps and
with not much money going into those camps, the living conditions of those camps are not always that
clean. While many people are living in clean and elegant homes, the homeless are living in places no
human would ever dream of living in and yet homeless people are living in those places not only for
days, but for months or maybe even years just to survive in the world. Therefore, while living in their

Harry S Truman Influence On American Culture
Harry S. Truman, named after his maternal uncle, was born on May 8, 1884 in a small town known as
Lamar, Missouri. A place where he would live until 1890 when his parents, John and Martha Truman,
would move the family to a place known as Independence, Missouri. Independence was a county seat
with a miniscule population of just 6,000 citizens. Among those citizens was a great diversity due to
the town s location America s west and south. Due to this location, many southerners had migrated
down to it leading to an abundance of southern culture. At the age of eight, Harry would begin
attending a public school within Independence. Notably, it appears that his mother sent him five weeks
late during his first year. Despite this, his teacher,

The Reggio Emilia Approach Essay
The Reggio Emilia Approach
Hailed by Newsweek (1991) magazine as the international role model for preschools, the Reggio
Emilia approach has caught the attention of early childhood educators. In 1999, current Secretary of
Education, Richard W. Riley visited the schools in Reggio Emilia to better understand its benefits
(Dunne, 2000). It s principals are understood by only a few, however, and has limited following with
approximately 1200 Reggio inspired preschools in operation, most of them private (Sipprelle, 2009),
making the innovative ideas offered by this approach available to only a few. Why have so few
schools emulated those so successful in Reggio Emilia, Italy? Is Reggio Emilia applicable in the

The land was donated and so was the labor. Many of the materials were recycled from the ruins
created by the war (Source, 0000).
While there is no fixed curriculum or one specific model to emulate, the Reggio Emilia approach does
have some essential components, some fundamental ideas about how children learn most effectively.
The utmost is the idea that the young child is inherently competent not only as a learner but as an
initiator. The child has preferences and opinions that have value and should be listened to with respect
and care, knowing that they have much to offer their classroom community and community at large.
This pedagogy plays a large role in shaping the Reggio classroom. It allows the children to pursue
projects which are interesting and meaningful and then allowing adequate time to follow those
projects with passion.
The Reggio Emilia approach is an emergent curriculum because it is developed and shaped by the
interests of the child, through negotiations between the child, parents and teachers. This is done in a
Reggio classroom by in large and small group projects in which the children engage. The projects
involve planning, hands on activities, research, and representation through a variety of visual media.
The observant teacher collects documentation which is a vital component of the Reggio philosophy in
the form of written anecdotes, samples of children s work, photographs and videos. This information

Inference Vs Observation Research
Inference Vs. Observation In the science of Psychology, observations and inferences are equally
important. Observation is the act of perceiving, of noticing, of watching something closely. On the
other hand, inference is looking at the evidence in front of you and making a deduction of your own
based on what you see. When somebody observes something or someone they just state the facts as
they appear before their eyes, whereas in inference they reach a conclusion by assuming or deducting
things as well. For example, an observation would be Observation and Inference Distinction O_1. The

Potential Surrogate Indicators
The criterion for premium beers is social status. The potential surrogate indicators could include:
alcohol content, brand name, and season. Consumers could associate higher alcohol content with
higher costing beer, referring back to social status. For example, and IPA may have more alcohol
content than a light beer. Brand name can also play a factor in social status. For example, Natural
Light beer is cheap and is associated with college students, whereas a beer like Guinness is objectively
more expensive and is associated with more sophisticated drinkers.
The criterion for stereo equipment is quality. Some potential surrogate indicators could be bass,
warranty, and features. Higher quality speakers generally are associated with better bass. ... Show

Two potential surrogate indicators could be location and price. A restaurant in the heart of New York
City will be perceived as higher class compared to a restaurant off of a high way. Expensive locations
indicate high class experiences and products. Furthermore, the price of the food at the restaurant is an
indicator of social status in the sense that only upper class people may be able to afford high class
restaurants. Research found that price reliance had a marked effect in determining perceptions of
quality of ingredients (Dick 19).
The criterion for jewelry is also social status. Two potential surrogate indicators could include price
and brand. Wheatley and Chiu (1977) found that high quality was associated with a high prestige
store, and a high price. The price of jewelry indicates the quality of the product and also indicates
social status because not many people have the ability to spend thousands of dollars on an accessory.

Cassie Martin Book Report
Cassie Martin is the daughter of a famous star comedienne Abby Grant. Cassie doesn t really seem
impressed by her moms fame or Hollywood at all. She then meets a film student named Marc Jenkins.
She finds him very appealing and wants to help finance his film. Although when she ask to get money
from her mom she refuses and becomes angry. She still wants to help Marc and thinks she is old
enough to help him, but she doesn t want to betray her mother. I give this book 3.5 stars out of 4.
My favorite character is Cassie, she is outgoing, kind, and really smart. She is outgoing towards her
new friends including Marc Jenkins. She is very kind for helping him finance for his movie. She is
also smart because she finds different ways to help Marc as much as she could without having to ask
her mom for money. Even when her mom gets her upset, she gets angry but finds a way to change the
situation.I also think that she is nice to her mom but her mom isn t nice to her back when she ask for
money. This is why Cassie is my favorite character, but also Marc too. ... Show more content on

Pros And Cons Of Payroll Tax In The United States
Payroll Tax is defined as a state or federal tax withheld by the employee on behalf of their employers
based on their wages or salary. Payroll tax exist to fund programs such as Social Security, Medicare,
Unemployment Compensation, Worker s Compensation and sometimes local governments even
require a small tax to maintain and improve local transportation. This is the reason why I am for
payroll taxes. Although, looking at our paycheck sometimes, it makes us discourage because we work
so hard but some of our money is going elsewhere instead of to us. However, when income tax season
comes, it is our chance to take some of that money back. There are some pros and cons to having

Does one really know the benefits of Social Security and why we pay it? One of the benefits of having
a Social Security program is retirement. When a person reaches the retirement age, which is between
65 and 67, they can begin to collect their retirement. That is why when people get s older they do not
have to worry about not having any financial support because they no longer work because of old age.
In addition, the other tax we are paying is the Medicare. Medicate is a health insurance program
provided for people who are 65 years old and older. Medicare was once lumped with the Social
Security rates; combining the two gives a higher rate than separating it even thought when it is added
it is still the same rate. Medicare benefits actually go hand and hand with Social Security

1. The settlement date or the range of potential settlement dates
2. The method of settlement or potential methods of settlement (The term potential methods of
settlement refers to methods of settling the obligation that are currently available to the entity...)
3. The probabilities associated with the potential settlement dates and potential methods of

Development of Solar Power Essay
The sun s light (and all light) contains energy. Usually, when light hits an object the energy turns into
heat, like the warmth you feel while sitting in the sun. But when light hits certain materials the energy
turns into an electrical current instead, which we can then harness for power (Alivisatos). The method
of transforming light into energy by human means is called PhotoVoltaics. Having this general
knowledge, humankind created different devices made of a certain kind of material which could turn
the solar power into energy; these devices are called PhotoVoltaics cells or solar cells. With those tiny
cells, humans have created (for a much efficient use of this power) a much bigger device called solar
panels. Solar panels are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Climate change causes a disturbance in the seasons alternation, cause the ices to melt, and warms the
ocean; in other words, the use of fossil fuels is responsible of one of the worst disasters ever faced by
humankind for an extended period. Given the situation, humanity s last hope is to use natural energy
sources such as solar power. In fact, solar power, using energy from the sun, which should die in
nothing less than 5 billion of year (Fazekas), can be considered as an inexhaustible energy source. In
addition to its near inexhaustibility, the transformation of its light is non pollutant since it contains
neither carbon nor bad chemicals products for the environment. As if that were not enough, using solar
power would be more economic than using fossil fuels. As a matter of fact, it would be a long term
investment knowing that after installing the solar panels once, they shall continue working and
producing electricity for about 25years with a slight drop in their output. Besides this, they would
need less money than fossil fuels as they do not requires much transformation before use. Considering
all the facts stated above, the question in our mind should be: if this energy source is as good as it is
said, why is it not used worldwide? The answer to this question is as simple as the following: the
acquisition of this technology is too pricey. Thus,

Tips On Online Casino Bonus
Blog 29 How to stretch your online casino bonus
While it seems like there are countless welcome bonus and sign up offers available to players, once
one is claimed at an online casino that s it. At each online casino you register at you get one welcome
bonus and no more. That means that when an online casino bonus lands in your account the key is to
making last as long as possible. While this seems easy enough, it tends to be tougher than most people
realise. If you really want to see your online casino bonus last longer than five minutes, I suggest you
pay close attention to the following.
Tip No. 1 Don t grab the very first bonus you see
Part of the task of extending an online casino bonus as far as it can go actually begins with registering
for the right online casino bonus in the first place. The temptation is often to grab the first bonus that
you see, but seldom is that ever a good idea. You will want to look at online casino portal before you
do anything and find a casino bonus that is at least somewhat favourable towards the player. Be
patient, do you research, and find an online casino bonus that has extension potential.
Tip No. 2 Keep your bankroll under control
If you honestly believe that all you need to make it in the world of online casino gaming is an online
casino bonus you need to think again. Untold riches aren t going to land at your feet with this
approach and you will more than likely see that online casino bonus reduced to dust in a matter of

Scott Glenn Jack Crawford
Ted Levine Jame Gumb AKA Buffalo Bill
Theme can be defined as a central insight. According to the authors of The Art of Watching Films, a
theme in a literary work or film should be universal and should be one that challenges people (Boggs
Petric, 2008). The Silence of the Lambs shows that peoples search for peace is universal. We see

You think if Catherine lives, you won t wake up in the dark ever again to that awful screaming of the
lambs (Demme, 1991). Clarice claims she doesn t know and it is possible she truly doesn t, but we can
see in her face that wants it to be true. We see the pain in her face and her desire to be released from
the screaming and find peace. Director Jonathan Demme lets us connect with the characters by
shattering the fourth wall. He positions the camera so Clarice is essentially talking to the audience in
extreme close up shots. This technique instills her anguish into the audience. Clarice then becomes
more demanding, asking for the killer s name but before Hannibal can answer Dr. Frederick Chilton
informs her it s time to go. She is nearly dragged out of the room, but breaks free to run back to
Hannibal s cage and retrieve her case files. The visual style up to this point in the scene has been dark,
but when Clarice rushes to the cage, there is light illuminating Hannibal. Clarice running towards this
light represents her search for peace. She is hoping the clues left by Dr. Lecter in the case files will
enable her to catch the killer, save the kidnapped girl, and stop the lambs from screaming.
The Silence of the Lambs is traditionally considered a horror film. However, it is more than that. It is a
great reference to sociology because it touches on so many topics important to people (Kim, 2010).

A Stuyd on Bhutanese Living in Thimphu City
Research Topic: Financial Literacy of Bhutanese
A study on Bhutanese living in Thimphu City
Chapter I
Background of the study
Organization for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) International Network on
Financial Education (INFE) has defined financial literacy as a combination of awareness, knowledge,
skill, attitude and behaviour necessary to make sound financial decisions and ultimately achieve
individual financial wellbeing . Bhushan and Medury (2013) stated that financial literacy helps
individuals to improve their level of understanding of financial matters which enables them to process
financial information and make informed decisions about personal finance. It was found that well
functional financial markets depend on participants making informed decisions (Agarwalla et al.,
2012). Moreover, Bhushan and Medury (2013) found that financial education empowers individuals to
take their financial decisions in a better and effective way.
Financial literacy is increasingly important as it has become essential that consumers acquire the skills
to be able to survive in modern society and cope with the increasing diversity and complexity of
financial products and services (Bird, 2008). However, various researches including OECD survey
and International Financial Literacy Barometer (IFLB) have shown that the levels of financial literacy
worldwide are unacceptably low. Further, it was also found that developing countries have low level
of financial literacy

The Effect Of Hydration Of Copper Chloride Hydrates
Purpose Hydrates are inorganic salts that lose water when heated and undergo a color change. The loss
of water makes the hydrate anhydrous. Copper chloride hydrate is what will be used in the lab to show
what happens when a hydrate is heated which can lead to a better understanding of hydrates as a
whole and their reactions that can be observed to discover things about the environment they re in.
After the removal of water from the copper chloride hydrate, the solid ,when reacted with aluminum
and filtered, produces elemental copper. Through the understanding of the process used to achieve
this, the experiment can be recreated for another hydrate to isolate a different element. By determining

The molecular formula is the actual amount of atoms of in each molecule but is not used in this lab.
Empirical formulas can be found by converting the grams of each substance within a compound to
moles using their molar mass then dividing each value by the smallest value calculated. That results in
the molar ratios which are multiplied so that they are all whole numbers. Those numbers can be
plugged into the formula as subscripts to obtain the empirical formula which is the simplest form of
the formula. The empirical formula of copper chloride hydrate will be found by completing
experiment and using the masses of the reactants and products. The mass of chlorine is not measured
during the experiment but can be found through the masses of water and copper that are measured in
the experiment. By adding the masses of water and copper together the mass of chlorine can be
determined and used in finding the mole ratios which can then lead to the formation of the empirical
formula. The empirical formula of the hydrous compound will be found and is different than the
anhydrous formula. The anhydrous version won t contain water. How the empirical formula is written
is also important. The compound in the experiment contains water and instead of distributing the mole
ratio of water to each subscript, the number comes before it. This is because the empirical formula is

Asian and African People

Difference between Asian People and African People:
Asian People, Culture and Traditions
If one looks at the map of the world, it is hard not to notice that Asia is the biggest land mass. Asia is
important to the rest of the world. The importance of this part of world is not only because it is the
biggest continent of the world, but also because it is the portion if the world which is home to the
majority of humanity. All densely populated countries are located in Asia. Asia spans hundreds of
longitude and as a result you find a variety of culture and traditions in Asia. Asian people are generally
closely bound to their traditions and for them it is always difficult to break away. The continent as a

Asia has people following all the religions from Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. The continent of
Asia is blessed with fertile lands in China and India and excels in agricultural production of food
grains and rice.
Asian people are known all over the world for their strong cultural values and intelligent minds. This
continent has given birth to many famous scientists, celebrities and politicians. Although this continent
does not boast of many developed countries, many developing countries within this continent are on
the threshold of becoming developed. Asia as a continent was initially under the colonial rule for a
very long time except for the countries of Japan or Russia. Many nations like India, China, Pakistan
and Afghanistan have suffered the brunt of oppressive colonial rule by Europeans and Americans for a
very long period of time.
Times have changed now and the countries of this continent are embarking on the era of economic
development like never before. Southeastern countries like India, Sri Lanka and China are
experiencing amazingly high rates of per capita GDP growth. These countries have also made an effort
to preserve communal harmony and unity by following a policy of inter regional cooperation and
forming associations for the above purpose like SAARC.They have also forged important trade
alliances with each other to mutual boost economic growth.

Comparison Of Angelas Ashes And Angela s Ashes
Finally, both novels display the effects of living in these situations as well as the similar methods in
which people cope with the hardships in life. Alcoholism affects characters in both novels, specifically
Frank McCourt s father, Malachy, and Dickens tragic hero, Sydney Carton. In Angela s Ashes, one of
the constant sources of their misfortunes is Malachy McCourt. Though he cares for his family, as
evident in his strong relationship with his sons and love for their mother, he continuously drinks away
the family s money for food and other basic necessities for life, spending long nights at pubs and
coming home in the early morning. One night, Angela is fed up and orders Frank to go find his father
at the pub and tell everyone, your father is drinking the money for the baby... there isn t a scrap of
food in this house, not a lump of coal to start the fire, not a drop of milk for the baby s bottle
(McCourt 183 184). At this point, Malachy s drinking is worsening and causing a great strain on the
family, money wise as well as emotionally. Malachy is unable to change for his family as the alcohol
has already taken over his life and he relies on it to cope, for example when his infant daughter passes
away. In A Tale of Two Cities, Sydney Carton is also reliant on alcohol and spends a lot of time drunk,
though he does not have a family or anyone to take care of. He drinks because he feels as though his
life is already wasted and he loathes himself for it. One night, he

the women, Ignatius exclaimed You ladies need a critic with some taste and decency (224). Ignatius

Stereotypes In Walter Dean Myers The Glory Field
A hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming
obstacles. This quote by Christopher Reeve illustrates overcoming obstacles similar to those described
in The Glory Field by Walter Dean Myers. This historical fiction story is about the Lewises, that all
started with Muhammad, who was brought to North America in 1753, as a slave. Numerous traits were
passed down from Muhammad to his descendants. Each Lewis is characterized by obstacles they
experienced and overcoming: Elijah provides for his family, Luvenia overcomes stereotypes, and
Sheppard fights against his drug addiction. In the 1900 section, readers learn about Elijah Lewis, an

This is a decision of the High Court of Australia which had been delivered on 23 December 1996. It is

native title rights. The court found out that that the statutory pastoral leases under consideration by the

Analysis Of The Movie The Babadook
The Babadook is a haunting film filled with twists and turns that leave the audience terrified without
ever utilizing a single cliché jump scare. The audience is constantly in a state of dread and fear along
with the protagonist. One of the final scenes in the movie shows the protagonist walking into her
basement to feed the monster that she keeps down there. The scene is a unique ending that is not
commonly seen in horror films. It revolves around implicit meaning and the interesting point of view
editing. Without the implicit meaning of the film and the point of view editing in this scene, the
emotional impact of the film would have been much weaker.
The scene begins with the protagonist, Amelia, standing at the entrance to the basement with Sam. She
instructs her son to go outside and play, while she enters the basement. The audience sees Amelia
slowly walk down the stairs with a bowl full of worms in her hands. It leaves the viewer a bit confused
the first time they watch the film due to the unusual nature of the act. She sets the bowl down on the
ground and the camera takes on the viewpoint of the Babadook as he comes roaring out of his hiding
spot. The protagonist soothes the monster before returning upstairs to her son and her normal life. The
scene provides an excellent representation of implicit meaning and point of view editing.
The implicit meaning of the film is seen throughout the movie, but during the viewer s first watch

My Goals For Student Council
As a student finishing out middle school and entering high school, I had many ambitions for my future
life. I wanted to become a student leader, and, as I went through my freshman year, I wanted to be
involved in Student Council through the Central Minnesota Association of Student Councils
(CMASC). Despite these ambitions, I had two major hurdles that I had to get over in order to reach
these goals: my shyness and my fear of public speaking. In order to achieve my goals for Student
Council, I would have to campaign, get to know others, and speak in front of a large group of them.
However, these activities fell far outside of my comfort zone, and it would take a lot of work to be
able to do these things. In order to encourage myself to overcome these two fears, I decided that I
would continue to pursue my ambition without even considering that I had my reservations. My

Community Engagement In The Community
Engaging ourselves as well as engaging in the community with issues of our society makes us open to
different things. Community engagement is the process of working with individuals and groups to
achieve specific goals. It involves community members with making decisions and taking action. This
process of creating a relationship with community members in society that can maintain a mission
with an ultimate goal of making something better. It s an ongoing process with collaborative work,
cooperative dialogue, collective decisions and shared ownership. There are many different activities
that community engagement is involved with, which are community service, internships, voter s
registration, service learning and etc. The primary focus of community engagement is the practice of
moving communities towards change.
The transformation from high school to college was very big for me. Only because I was a loner and I
didn t really get involved with groups nor did I have a social life outside of playing basketball. When I
came to college I made up in my mind that I was going to change. Once I was introduced to the four
pathways that Methodist offered I decide to choose community engagement. Community engagement
fits me best because it gives me a chance to interact with people and also voices my opinion. I wanted
to work on enhancing this aspect because I m a very shy person with a lot to say. The program would
also give me some good information to learn from and gain knowledge.

Negative Effects Of Credit Cards
For the past several decades, physical money has been the most common way for people to pay for
goods and services. However, in the past several years, bills and coins have been replaced by plastic as
more people use credit cards to buy the things they want. Credit cards are convenient, as they allow to
card holder to buy whatever they want without having to carry around a certain amount of money that
needs to be predetermined. To add on to this convenience, credit cards have large spending limits,
which allow the card holder to make multiple large purchases, which only need paid back when the
credit card bill comes later. However, despite how attractive credit cards may seem, they are overused
by and cause huge problems for millions of Americans. Although credit cards are seen as convenient
by many people, they are actually risky tools that can wreak financial havoc.
One of the major problems with credit cards is that consumers naturally spend more when they have a
card in hand. When studied, psychologists have found that card holders spend more money when they
use a credit card than when they use physical money. Similarly, these studies have also found that card
holders will often pay more than what is required on costs, such as restaurant tips, when they are using
a card. Card holders spend in this larger way because of the perceived differences between money and
credit cards. For instance, when a person spends a large amount of money, it triggers a reaction in the

The Decline Of The Reformation
The fact that the Renaissance took place before the Protestant Reformation was not a coincidence.
One of the major promoters of the Reformation was the availability of the Bible in the common
language of the people throughout Europe. Another was the growing number of people who were able
to read the Bible for themselves. Both the availability of printed material and the increasing literacy
rates were direct consequences of the Renaissance and thus fostered the Reformation that followed.
Without the events that took place during the Renaissance the Reformation may never have taken
place.
The Renaissance period was marked by a renewed interest in Classical culture, art, learning and
science. The Reformation was a religious movement which challenged the authority of the pope and
the Catholic Church, which until that time had been the only organized form of Christianity in Western
Europe. The Reformation began when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses, his list of grievances
against the Catholic Church s practices, to the door of a church. Luther s main disagreement with the
Church was over indulgences, the sale by the Papacy of remission of penalties imposed by God on
souls in Purgatory. He attached the theory behind indulgences that the Pope could make grants to the
faithful from the treasure of merits accumulated by Christ and the saints over and above what they had
needed for their own salvation.
The grievances that Luther had with the Church had been greatly nurtured by

Yeats Ireland Essay
Yeats Ireland
William Butler Yeats is one of Ireland s best known poets, writing twelve books of poetry in his
lifetime in addition to numerous other works. His poetry often utilizes place and landscape specifically
the natural landscape of Ireland to interpret the social and cultural landscape of the country. Some of
his works, such as The Lake Isle of Innisfree or The Stolen Child, relay peaceful and serene depictions
of landscape whereas poems such as Thoughts Upon The Present State Of The World, use landscapes
in a more aggressive way to describe the harsh social climate of Ireland at the time. Yeats sought to
revive the beauty of Irish landscape and culture, and became a national poet and a voice of Ireland in

feelings of fear felt by readers in the time. Bradley writes Yeats language broadens the context so that

of the poem provides a domineering relation to place, one which feels inescapable. According to

Before his death in 1939, Yeats wrote a poem titled Under Ben Bulben. Ben Bulben is a rock

a co ordinate system. Another point charge q2 = 5.1 μC is located along the x axis at a distance x2 =
9.3 cm from q1. 1) What is F12,x, the value of the x component of the force that q1 exerts on q2?
18.57 N For all of these problems we want to make use of the standard electric force equation: ̂ So for
this problem with K=9*109 Nm2/C2, Q1= 3.5μC, Q2=5.1 μC, and r=9.3 cm we get F= 18.57 N. It s
important to realize that getting a negative force value means the charges attract. The direction of that
attraction is determined by which charge we re looking at. 2) Charge q2 is now displaced a distance y2
= 2.7 cm in the positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This gives us Ex=kλ/r or in our case Ex=kλ/a. 3) What is Ey, the value of the y component of the
electric field at the origin (x,y) = (0,0) ? 1.52E6 N/C Since the curve is symmetric and spread along a
45° angle there will be no difference between the X and Y E fields. 5) What is the magnitude of the
electric field at the origin produced by a semi circular arc of charge = 4.6 μC, twice the charge of the
quarter circle arc? 3.05E6 N/C All that doubling the charge does is make sure we have the same
charge density as before, twice the charge but twice the length. Since we already know Ey for the
quarter arc, the Ey for the semicircle will be twice that. The Ex for the two parts of the semicircle
cancel each other

However, there were some problems that they had to face along the way as they were in a completely new market using an untried business model. One of the main challenges for the company is the protectionist measures taken by the Malaysian government to protect the national airline, Malaysia Airlines (MAS). The other major problem is the limitations on the general ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This helped X to increase the seating capacity by 20 percent. X also had a flexible flight schedule as its aircraft was in the air for 16 hours per day in average, which is much higher than the industry average of 11 hours per day. SWOT Analysis AirAsia X s main strength is the low price that it offers for customers. For most airlines in the industry, it is extremely difficult to keep the price low for long haul flights as the full services offered in most airlines increase the operating costs. In addition, X also benefited from the expansive network, infrastructure and customers that AirAsia already has that enabled them to grow fast with good financial outcomes. On the other hand, X s main weakness is the technology. The website always crashes and the company doesn t have its own database of customers. X also doesn t enjoy from a strong relationship with the Malaysian Transport Ministry. This can be detrimental to the company as it finds competing with Malaysia Airlines in some profitable routes to be difficult. However, X has some opportunities. For example, in order to keep the low price ticket, cooperating with fuel companies which will offer low fuel price and increasing demand in low cost airlines will bring profits. The major threat for AirAsia X is the protectionist measures taken by the Malaysian government that prevented X from flying planes to some destinations with high demand. While there is no fixed curriculum or one specific model to emulate, the Reggio Emilia approach does have some essential components, some fundamental ideas about how children learn most effectively. The utmost is the idea that the young child is inherently competent not only as a learner but as an initiator. The child has preferences and opinions that have value and should be listened to with respect and care, knowing that they have much to offer their classroom community and community at large. This pedagogy plays a large role in shaping the Reggio classroom. The Reggio Emilia approach is an emergent curriculum because it is developed and shaped by the interests of the child, through negotiations between the child, parents and teachers. This is done in a Reggio classroom by in large and small group projects in which the children engage. The projects involve planning, hands on activities, research, and representation through a variety of visual media. In fact, solar power, using energy from the sun, which should die in nothing less than 5 billion of year (Fazekas), can be considered as an inexhaustible energy source. In addition to its near inexhaustibility, the transformation of its light is non pollutant since it contains neither carbon nor bad chemicals products for the environment. As a matter of fact, it would be a long term investment knowing that after installing the solar panels once, they shall continue working and producing electricity for about 25years with a slight drop in their output. Besides this, they would need less money than fossil fuels as they do not requires much transformation before use. • 28. Analysis Of The Movie The Babadook The Babadook is a haunting film filled with twists and turns that leave the audience terrified without ever utilizing a single cliché jump scare. The audience is constantly in a state of dread and fear along with the protagonist. One of the final scenes in the movie shows the protagonist walking into her basement to feed the monster that she keeps down there. The scene is a unique ending that is not commonly seen in horror films. It revolves around implicit meaning and the interesting point of view editing. Without the implicit meaning of the film and the point of view editing in this scene, the emotional impact of the film would have been much weaker. The scene begins with the protagonist, Amelia, standing at the entrance to the basement with Sam. She instructs her son to go outside and play, while she enters the basement. The audience sees Amelia slowly walk down the stairs with a bowl full of worms in her hands. It leaves the viewer a bit confused the first time they watch the film due to the unusual nature of the act. She sets the bowl down on the ground and the camera takes on the viewpoint of the Babadook as he comes roaring out of his hiding spot. The protagonist soothes the monster before returning upstairs to her son and her normal life. The scene provides an excellent representation of implicit meaning and point of view editing. Credit cards are convenient, as they allow to card holder to buy whatever they want without having to carry around a certain amount of money that needs to be predetermined. To add on to this convenience, credit cards have large spending limits, which allow the card holder to make multiple large purchases, which only need paid back when the credit card bill comes later. However, despite how attractive credit cards may seem, they are overused by and cause huge problems for millions of Americans. • 39. The Decline Of The Reformation The fact that the Renaissance took place before the Protestant Reformation was not a coincidence. One of the major promoters of the Reformation was the availability of the Bible in the common language of the people throughout Europe. Another was the growing number of people who were able to read the Bible for themselves. Both the availability of printed material and the increasing literacy rates were direct consequences of the Renaissance and thus fostered the Reformation that followed. Without the events that took place during the Renaissance the Reformation may never have taken place. The Renaissance period was marked by a renewed interest in Classical culture, art, learning and science. The Reformation was a religious movement which challenged the authority of the pope and the Catholic Church, which until that time had been the only organized form of Christianity in Western Europe. The Reformation began when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses, his list of grievances against the Catholic Church s practices, to the door of a church. Luther s main disagreement with the Church was over indulgences, the sale by the Papacy of remission of penalties imposed by God on souls in Purgatory. He attached the theory behind indulgences that the Pope could make grants to the faithful from the treasure of merits accumulated by Christ and the saints over and above what they had needed for their own salvation.
