The Equal Right Amendments Of The Equal Rights Amendment
The Equal Right Amendment The Equal rights Amendment was proposed to set equality for every
citizen no matter the sex. The amendment has three sections. The first one states equality of rights
under the law should not be denied by the U.S on the account of one s sex. Section two says that
congress has the power to enforce this law. Last but not least, section three says the amendment will
take effect two years after ratification. The ERA is a proposed amendment made to guarantee equal
rights to all U.S. citizens no matter the sex. In 1872 when the issue was introduced to congress it was
quickly sent out to the states to get the opinion of the amendment. Many states ratified the amendment
shortly after it was sent out. The United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paul dedicated her life to equal rights for all women. She has impacted many people in this world
from the struggles and hardships she went through to try to make things right for women. Paul was a
very intelligent women, she graduated at the top of her class. Congress gave the amendment seven
years for ratification when it was submitted in 1972. Many states ratified the amendment quickly,
other states refused the ratification. A big debate in the time of the amendment ratification was that
women were just different then men. Women would never hold the same powers and fulfill the same
things as men. Women began to form many organizations to support the amendment. Women tried
everything in their power to get the law passed. The constitution s 14th amendment is to protect the
right of all citizens, but that does not guarantee the discrimination of the sex. The equal rights
movement would make a better standard for deciding on cases of sex discrimination. The 14th
amendment does not protect anyone from sex discrimination. The ERA would provide legal defense to
women s rights. This amendment would help all humanity, not just women. Still today, sex
discrimination is still an ongoing event. We still need the passing of the ERA. Although, since then
women s rights have improved. Women are still not equal to men. If it came down to it men would
still be chosen over a women. We, as women should still fight for the ratification of the Equal

John Locke s Theory Of Personal Identity In The 2000 Film...
The world of film for many is a wondrous place. It can be a place to escape reality, to relax, to learn,
or to philosophize all we have to do is look. In this case the 2000 film Memento by ... can also act as a
gateway to understanding John Locke s memory theory of personal identity. Locke s theory, in
summary, states that one s identity exists as far back as one can consciously remember. Whether it was
your fourth birthday party or your high school graduation, as far back as you can remember is where
your identity begins. Which is where the dilemma of Leonard Shelby comes into play. Leonard Shelby
suffers from a condition of anterograde amnesia, where he cannot create new memories, however,
long term memories from before his accident remain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, instead of the photo becoming clearer, the photo fades, just as our own memories fade.
Which leads to the question: are Leonard s memories even reliable? At the end of the film Teddy tells
Leonard that it was actually his wife that was the diabetic, not Sammy Jankis and that he killed his
wife by injecting her with insulin. The film then shows Leonard injecting his wife on the bed, but then
switches quickly back to him pinching her. This could actually be a way of telling the audience that
Leonard is suppressing his memories so that he can create another mystery/puzzle to figure out. He
might not only be suppressing his memories but altering them as well. There is a moment in the film
where Sammy is sitting in a chair in what appears to be a mental institution. For a short moment
Sammy is replaced by Leonard, who is then replaced by Sammy, further proving that Leonard s
memories may not be as reliable as were let on. His story might have instead combined with that of
Sammy s morphing his memories into something he believes. Teddy even touches on this when he
says that Leonards story of Sammy Jankis, Gets better every time you tell it. Which indicates some
alteration of the story. Which brings the question again, who is Leonard? Teddy sums this up very well
at the end of the film when he asks Leonard You don t know who you are...That s who you were. That
s not...what you ve become. If this speculation happens to be true then Leonard Shelby as he once was
before the accident no longer exists. He is now a hybrid between Sammy and his previous self. As
Locke mentioned, so that whatever has the consciousness of present and past actions, is the same
person to whom they both belong (Locke). However Leonard s past actions cannot be confirmed, not
by himself, nor Teddy; the picture is not entirely clear. It doesn t help that Leonard s present actions
memory can only last for so long. A perfect

The Kolb Experiential Learning Theory (1984) Drives A Large
The Kolb Experiential Learning theory (1984) drives a large component of my instructional plans.
According to Kolb (1984), a person learns through experience and discovery. This theory is built
around a learning cycle that involves 4 principles: 1) concrete experience, 2) reflective experience, 3)
abstract conceptualization, and 4) active experimentation. Educators initially provide learners with
opportunities to use concrete resources in learning about new concepts. Students then review their
learning and reflect on the experience. This is followed by the opportunity to form abstract ideas using
the new concepts and finally testing the concepts in new circumstances and situations.
The following is an example of my application of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In support of the Kolb learning cycle, I employ the principles of Mayer s Multimedia Cognitive
Theory (2014) and provide my students with a wide variety of resources that support the fourth grade
curriculum. According to Mayer (2015), students learn better with multimedia messages designed to
reflect the workings of the human mind. The theory is based on 3 principles: 1) we receive messages
best when they are delivered through two channels (audio/visual), 2) each of these channels has a
limited capacity for delivery, and 3) learning is a process that takes place through filtering,
organization, integration of knowledge based on prior knowledge.
Our school has a subscription to IXL, an online math program that provides extensive opportunities
for practice through effective and engaging audio visual activities. Each student has an individual
account. The program follows Nova Scotia math outcomes and is divided by grade level and math
strand. I assign specific activities within the corresponding math strand. I am able to track student
achievement levels in successfully demonstrating understanding of determining area through this
program. IXL is an effective tool that provides the practice needed to enable students to move the new
math concept of determining area from reception through processing to long term memory.
I also use the constructivism model as an extension to determining the area of a rectangular surface.
Through constructivism, students construct their

Truman s Speech In The Truman Doctrine By Harry S. Truman
Harry S. Truman was very much involved in war. He wanted to help join the fight and even though his
eyesight was poor, he still enlisted in the National Guard and in World War I, he became and artillery
commander. Throughout his life, Harry S. Truman was always a go getter. He always wanted to help
in wars and make sure America came out on top. This go getter attitude he expressed is very plainly
visible in his speech: The Truman Doctrine . The purpose, tone, and subject of this speech all points
toward what President Truman wanted to do with Greece and Turkey. The speaker, audience, and
occasion also help Harry S. Truman push his ideas, but they do it in a more subdued way. The Author
s purpose in The Truman doctrine is to show America ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whole speech was his tone toward this subject because it was about how he wanted to try and fix
the problems in Greece and Turkey. It is necessary only to glance at a map to realize that the survival
and integrity of the Greek nation are of grave importance in a much wider situation. If Greece should
fall under the control of an armed minority, the effect upon its neighbor, Turkey, would be immediate
and serious. Confusion and disorder might well spread throughout the entire Middle East. Moreover,
the disappearance of Greece as an independent state would have a profound effect upon those
countries in Europe whose peoples are struggling against great difficulties to maintain their freedoms
and their independence while they repair the damages of war. Here President Truman was talking
about what would have happened should America have failed to help Greece and Turkey. The diction
he used made each sentence even more horrible and when combining all of those sentences together,
you had a paragraph that would have made people turn their heads. This is a serious course upon
which we embark. I would not recommend it except that the alternative is much more serious. The
United States contributed $341,000,000,000 toward winning World War II. This is an investment in
world freedom and world peace. The assistance that I am recommending for Greece and Turkey
amounts to little more than 1 tenth of 1 percent of this investment. It is only common sense that we
should safeguard this investment and make sure that it was not in vain. The seeds of totalitarian
regimes are nurtured by misery and want. They spread and grow in the evil soil of poverty and strife.
They reach their full growth when the hope of a people for a better life has died. President Truman
tried to make his point clear in helping Greece and Turkey. He tried to defend his points and make
them just. From this paragraph alone, it is very distinct

The Climax Hero Vs. Foe Battle
UNIT 6669 presents as a contained horror film. The concept is familiar in which a group of young
adults are trapped inside a building with a masked killer, who stalks them one by one and kills them.
This type of premise is considered tried and true, but because there have been so many films with the
same concept, to be successful the story and/or the characters needs to offer the genre something new
and refreshing. Thus, the script needs to find a more unique hook to stand out from other similar films.
With that said, the script would benefit from further development, as there are several elements that
are worth discussing.
First, the story opens setting the tone. The inciting event is the first killing, which comes a bit late. The

First, it s never revealed who the killer is and his (or her) relationship to the girl in the photo (the
assumed raped victim). It s unclear how the killer would know about the crew is filming at the storage
facility. If this is the killer s true motivation (revenge for rape), then Arthur needs to be killed near the
end.
Right now, his murder blends in with the others and doesn t stand out. Also, if the killer is after Arthur,
it s not understood why the killer would go after the other crewmembers, but doesn t kill the security
guard. If the killing is not related to Arthur, this needs to be clarified.
The pace of the first act also feels slow. There are non essential scenes that do not move the script
forward, such as the picking up of the van and several of the conversations are not compelling enough
in the first (and throughout the script). In addition, there s very little real character development
crafted in the first act. Thus, make the first act more exciting and move up the inciting event.
Rick appears to be the protagonist. However, he needs to be more proactive. First, he needs to be
developed as a more relatable character with depth. His motivation for making the film seems to be
money, but the audience knows very little about him. When the killings begin, Rick never comes up
with a plan of action to try and defeat the foe. He feels too passive. He needs to come up with a plan,
it fails, and then he tries again. It s only at the

Christianity Of Religion Essay
Religion: the best thing to ever happen to humanity or the one thing that is holding us back? While
there are many arguments and testimonies that support either side, there is a clear answer. Religion,
specifically judeo christianity, in the western world has an array of disastrous issues ranging from bias
teachings to abuse and hate crimes. There are countless examples of ways in which religion has, and is
continuing to regress society s views and morals. Ignorance and disdain from scientific fact, fear to act
upon natural human impulse, innumerable human rights violations and of course wars on religion, are
topics rarely discussed due to the concern of offending those who have a relationship with the creator.

Stephen Hawking, one of the greatest minds of our time said Before we understood science, it was
natural to believe that God created the universe, but now science offers a more convincing
explanation. He is absolutely correct. It is human nature to seek explanations for life s big questions.
Therefore, back when there was no understanding of much at all, the concept of God provided all the
answers. Now, however, with research and evidence to back up discoveries, it is irresponsible to
completely reject them. In history, an example of this is Galileo s theory of Heliocentrism. Because
society was ruled by a theocracy at the time, it was said that the earth was the center of the universe
and the sun revolved around it. Galileo s theory that the earth revolves around the sun and the sun was
the center of the universe, although not entirely correct, was an important breakthrough for science.
Galileo was convicted for having opinions that challenge scripture and was sentenced to house arrest
until he died. Although nothing this extreme occurs in the western world today, not much has changed
in terms of belief. Today, most churches have realized how ineffectual it is to fight science, and have
claimed that there are in fact no contradictions between science and religion. This is a case of telling
rather than showing. If churches still continue to believe in events such as God creating the universe in

How Does David Bowie Use Irony In Labyrinth
In Labyrinth , David Bowie s character, Jareth, the goblin king, was originally supposed to be a
puppet, but instead decided to make him a human. In Labyrinth Jim Henson uses the literary device,
irony, to create surprise in the viewer. One type of irony is verbal, which is a sentence a character says,
but doesn t mean. Dramatic irony is when we know something a character doesn t. Lastly, situational
irony is when something happens when you don t expect. In general, there are three types of irony that
authors use as a literary device to create the element of surprise.
Furthermore, there s verbal irony, when a character says something, but really means the opposite. For
example, when Sarah tells Jareth, the Goblin King, It s a piece of cake .

Car Prowls
After taking a look at all the data for the past and more current information I have noticed an increase
in car prowls in northeast Portland. This includes the area from I 205, Airport Way to 122nd and
including Sandy Blvd and Marine Drive. Gathering information on the statistics of this location it
appears that larceny and motor vehicle theft are the most commons types of property crimes in this
area. I personally know this location and is mostly made up of business complexes, poor
neighborhoods surrounding this location and a lot of homeless people that camp or stay around these
areas especially at night. During the day this location is very busy and a lot of people are in this area,
however at night it s like a ghost town with very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is also the case in this Portland location and the focus should be on the location and the victims
because as they discussed in Texas if they arrested on offender another will take its place, it would not
be very effective. After looking at the PSU crime data I have noticed that car prowls occurs throughout
the year, overall declining in Portland overall, but in the area between 122nd Ave and I 205 around
Airport Way based on the heat map from 1995 to 2013 car prowls have increased or well above
average at this location(PSU, 2017). Also overall these crimes occurred after dark mostly every day
between 6pm to 2am(PSU, 2017). Focusing on victims would also be important even though we don t
have any data in Portland about victims, in the Texas model they identified that were part of the
problem because they left cars unlocked, left windows open and often left valuables in plain site
where offenders could see inside. This could also be applied to Portland because if offenders don t see
anything of value worth while in your car and if it s secure they would be less likely to break into that
car.
In response to this problem the Texas Police Department first focused on the victim side of the Crime
Triangle. In an effort to educate and make it aware to the victims that they are possible targets. What

Sara Lee Corporation Essay
Sara Lee Corporation (Case study)
1. Executive Summary
This case study provides an evaluation of Sara Lee Corporation and particularly its operations of
product lines available through the Wal Mart stores. To begin with, an effective SWOT analysis of the
company was conducted where strengths and opportunities are identified while addressing possible
threats and improving its weaknesses to avoid giving the competition an aggressive advantage.
Marketing requires effective identification of issues as a key factor in devising the best methods of
addressing them. Therefore, Kirk Nelson identifies the BasicHipster style to be a major problem in the

Threats
Notably, Sara Lee had one key threat to its operation in its Wal Mart Account, the Fruit of the Loom
brand. Global competition was fast emerging in regions such as Eastern Europe, South East Asia and
the Middle East powered by technology and cheap labor. Due to this global atmosphere, Fruit of the
Loom rose as the main competition in the underwear category (Case 426).
4. Case Analysis
Sara Lee Wal Mart account division analysis was the most effective at marketing as it provided a
crosscutting evaluation of the product s performance. Kirk Nelson was deeply involved in generating
the most recent information before meeting his boss (Case p.425). As a result, it acted as a critical
organization in promoting sales at the stores at low prices and sustainable supplies (Case 427). As a
result, this relationship promoted the internal sales at Wal Mart while creating the needed impression
in other external Sara Lee branches. In addition to that, the corporation had an effective supply from
its widespread supply chain by maintaining distribution centers for its products (Case 427).
To ensure that the products, promotion, and pricing were perfect, the analysts recommendations were
subjected to extra scrutiny and further refinement. This reduced possible cannibalization and provided
more effective recommendations on aspects such as replacements of less performing products. Even

Metal Band Misconceptions
Misconceptions about Rock and Metal Bands.
Only talks about death? Screams all the time? Lyrics mean nothing? If the first thing you thought of
was a band you believe all those common misconceptions. How would you know if you refuse to try
and listen to it? Most people choose not to go out on a limb and give this music a chance because they
have a paranoia that it is evil. Kids who wear black and listen to rock music aren t all satan
worshippers or terrible people. ~Andy Biersack. There is no reason that this music shouldn t be
respected by society.
Where did the misconception that rock and metal bands have meaningless lyrics come from? In fact,
rock and metal bands tend to have deeper and more relatable lyrics than some(not all)songs that
everyone seems to enjoy. An example is that one set of lyrics in a black veil brides song called never
give in is Never give in, Never back down. When your life seems lost, fight against all odds.

That misconception was caused when someone had mistaken death metal or deathcore for a metal or

Rock and metal has actually reduced suicide rates by 89% When people hurt you over and over, think
of them as sandpaper. They may scratch and hurt you now but in the end you end up polished and they
end up useless. Andy stands up against bullying as do most bands which helps assist them in the
feeling that they belong and can recuperate to make it better in the end. These bands reassure the pain

1. What is the difference between privacy law and information systems security? How are they
related?
Privacy law stipulates what is public and what is private data. IS Security is required to comply with
the laws, which is how they are related.
2. Was the employee justified in taking home official data? Why or why not?
Uncertain. The employee had taken the work home for 3 years, and being as this is very likely to have

Imperialism Spread Of China And The Opium War
When imperialism spread to China: Events leading to the Opium War
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if an event in history ceased to happen or the effect of
a slight change in the past and if it would drastically change the future? Like the butterfly affect? I
recently came across some historical text about China. During the time of imperialism, a major shift
had happened in China that caused an entire dynasty to fall. The collapse caused a half century long
recovery period and a change in world trade. This event was the Opium War.
The Opium War in China occurred in two time spans, 1839 1842 and 1856 1860, however, I am just
going to discuss the first one. During the 19th century, global trade had spiked interest in many ...

Would the country have collapsed on itself? Throughout history Britain consistently continued taking
over and or imperializing multiple countries to then rely on them for survival and wealth. Could this
have been a possible future for China? Today the United States is China s major agricultural source.
Yet, if this event had not transpired would China still be able to produce its own food? Would China
today even exist or would it have been consumed by another superior country?
During the reign of Qing Emperor Daoguang (1820 1850), foreign trade was only allowed in the
commercial port of Canton. Due to the foreign trade policy, for Britain to obtain Chinese goods they
would have to purchase them with silver. Silver was China s currency at that time. The English
speaking merchants were not allowed to learn Chinese and were to be harshly punished if they left the
port to enter China. This frustrated the British East India Company. They had very few restrictions
from foreign ports and companies. The reasoning behind this was they had already seized control of
them. This gave Great Britain a massive advantage: A monopoly system of the seas. A stem of related
problems began to emerge for Britain. They did not have their own supply of silver and would
purchase it from Mexico so it could be used to purchase large quantities of Chinese Tea. Tea and sugar
made a marvelous mildly addicting drug food... (qtd. Dunn) Years went by of accelerated

The theme, fate versus free will , originates when Alex volunteers for an experimental program, the
Ludovico Treatment (the combination of an illness inducing resolution and films of violence, rape,
murder and war), that will allow him to depart his imprisonment within two weeks (Newman, 1991).
During the Ludovico Treatment , Alex is classically conditioned to befall violently ill when observing,
or even thinking about, violence and sex. The Ludovico Treatment is triumphant and Alex is free to
leave (Newman, 1991). However, Alex is virtually helpless outside the prison because of his classical
conditioning, and the government, realising the danger Alex can pose for political revolutionaries,
deconditions him and assures him that he will receive a good job in exchange for his support. Alex, on
the other hand, realises I was cured all right (Burgess, 2011:132), and plans to recommence his life of
ultraviolence (Newman, 1991). The title, A Clockwork Orange , refers to the attempt to impose upon
man, a creature of growth and capable of sweetness, to ooze juicily at the last round the bearded lips
of God, to attempt to impose laws and conditions appropriate to a mechanical creation (Burgess,
2011:18), thus claiming that humans have free will. As soon as this free will is, one way or

The Psychological Phenomenon Of The Bystander Effect
Paragraph 1 (introduction and thesis) Thesis not included From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This
article is about the psychological phenomenon. For the bystander effect in radiobiology, see Bystander
effect (radiobiology). The bystander effect, or bystander apathy, is a social psychological phenomenon
that refers to cases in which individuals do not offer any means of help to a victim when other people
are present. The probability of help is inversely related to the number of bystanders. In other words,
the greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is that any one of them will help. No thesis

Henry Fleming In The Red Badge Of Courage
In The Red Badge of Courage, main character Henry Fleming displays various aspects of his
personality throughout the novel mainly through his actions rather than his words. He is easily
impressed and affected by his experiences, and in some cases, even allows them to shape him and his
decisions. The way Stephen Crane describes Henry s sentiments is fully expressed and thoroughly
articulated, allowing the reader to feel as if they were capable of identifying with Fleming himself,
heedless of any unfamiliarity. Crane s subtle use of Henry s reactions to events occurring throughout
the plot begs the question of whether or not he purposely attempted to display the youth s qualities and
rationalization for his actions through his experiences. Having already experienced battle in a negative
way sets the stage for Henry s reluctance to once again step onto the battlefield. Regardless of any
good intentions he may have entered war with, when Henry decides not to go into battle the second
time around, his choice reflects on his tainted knowledge of how horrible war was due to his first
experience in combat. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After his grim brush with danger, he begins to realize the terror and disdain he truly felt for war,
especially the looming cloud of death that lurked around it. His decision not to go into the red sickness
of battle (Crane 24)* the second time is characterized by this experience. Although he displays
tremendous amounts of courage at certain points during the story, Henry s preoccupation with the
worry of dying without being recognized, or known, so to say, also forms a large part of his character

Why Become A Nutritionist
Despite the fact that I have enrolled in DTC 101, I currently have no intentions on becoming a
registered dietitian nutritionist. Personally I would work in the Computer Science or in a Computer

the fall semester I have decided to enroll in DTC 101 as during the time it has peaked my interest and
curiosity. Hopefully by the end of this course, I will enjoy it and have a greater understanding towards

What Is The Purpose Of Abigail Adams Letter To Her Son
In the letter to her son, John Quincy Adams, Abigail Adams encourages him to use his experiences,
knowledge gained from his travels, and guidance brought forth by his own loving mother and father.
The intended purpose of the letter is to assure and remind John Quincy that he was fortunate to be
raised with many opportunities, benefits which he should apply to become a virtuous and well
regarded person. Abigail Adams implements an analogy and an allusion to historical figures to create
an inspiring and supportive voice to present to her son her expectations as well as her faith and
confidence in him to utilize what he had learned from the world and his own mother s nurturing to
fulfill those expectations and transform into the great man and ... Show more content on

She relays to Quincy Adams that his fortune of being born into a privileged family gives him
advantages that makes him all the more capable to do honor to [his] country, and render [his] parents

unknowingly to them will become the president of the United States, and the son of a tender and
attentive mother concerned of his well being and future. The quote describes her expectations of her
son, hoping that he will take her teaching and words of motivation and let them guide him through his
future actions. She alludes to Cicero, how he is known as this outstanding figure because he had been
roused, kindled, and inflamed by corrupt leaders like Verres, Catiline, and Mark Anthony. Abigail
Adams tells her son that he must become a Cicero , that in times of need, of great disaster, his courage
and other virtues will awaken. As a citizen of the United States, he carries the responsibility of
protecting the nation which his ancestors have worked hard to establish, and indeed he did honor to

Introduction
Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) is a compound present in every body tissue. It has a wide variety of
chemical structures. The structure diversity depends on the part of the body ALP occurs (University of
California San Francisco Medical Center, 2009). ALP contains three metal ions, two Zinc and one
Magnesium, on each active site. This makes it a very active enzyme (Department of Molecular
Biophysics and Biochemistry, Yale University, 1992). ALP fusion allows gene identification, based on

Cleaning A Car
Washing a Car for Idiots My car is always dirty from driving around in fields and dirt roads. I have
had my license for just over a year now, and have discovered a three step process to make your car
sparkle after you are done washing it. First you have to gather your materials, second you wash the car
with soap, and third you dry your car off. There are many different types of supplies you can use to
wash your car but i have found out that the basics do the same job as the fancy cleaning supplies. The
most important supplies are a bucket, a large sponge, hose with running water, and soap. The brand of
soap you use plays a big role in how shiny and clean your car will get. I have found that the best soap
to use that is fairly priced and gives ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Take the hose out of the bucket and start spraying your car. To ensure that your don t miss any areas
break your car up into five areas top ,two sides, front, and back. You start at the top of your car so that
the dirt on top does not run down onto parts of the car that you have already cleaned. On the top of the
car, first you wet the entire roof with water. Second grab you sponge that has been soaking in your
soap and bubbles and cover the entire roof with suds. Third rinse off the top of the car Making sure no
suds are left. After that re soak your sponge in the bucket and re apply to the roof. The reason you
apply the suds to the roof twice it to ensure all the dirt is removed and it is thoroughly cleaned. After
you finish the roof you can move on to the next section of your car. Repeat the same steps you did for
the roof on each of the other four sections. This will ensure that all the dirt and grime is removed from
the car. Once you have finished washing the body and windows of your car you can move down to the
rims and tires. The tires and rims are washed last so that the sponge doesn t get gravel stuck in it and
therefor the gravel will scratch the body paint on the car. The same process for washing the car is
applied to the rims and tires.
The third step for having a clean and sparkling car is to hand dry the car after you are finished
washing it. The reason you hand dry it is so no watermarks or soap stains are left behind. It usually
takes about two beach towels to dry the whole car. To dry the car properly use the wax on wax off
method that Mr. Miyagi taught in the karate kid. Once the car is wiped down take it for a sort drive
around your neighborhood so that the wind can dry any spots that were accidentally

Analysis Of All Can Be Lost By Nicholas Carr
The main central point of All Can Be Lost: The Risk of Putting Our Knowledge in the Hands of
Machines by Nicholas Carr, is about humans relying solely on A.I., artificial intelligence, to do their
job to point that human skills aren t needed. Thus, making humans unaware on how to properly
execute an action if the A.I. fails. Everyday, people use artificial intelligence in their daily task without
knowing it, for example: using a computer to do online research or shopping. A.I. helps the researcher
find what they re looking for specifically within minutes, better yet, even in seconds if properly done.
I agree with Carr s central point on humans relying on A.I., but to a certain point. Yes, A.I. may take a

Thus making them unaware of what to do when a situation occurs. Bewildered, the pilot flying the
plane, Pierre Cedric Bonin, yanked back on the stick. The plane rose and a stall warning sounded, but
he continued to pull back heedlessly... it lost velocity... The jet stalled and began to fall... All 228
passengers and crew member died (Nicholas Carr, All Can Be Lost Paragraph 3). Pierre, the pilot of
the plane was relying on the autopilot to fly through the storm, but a few hours after take off the storm
disengaged the autopilot. Therefore, forcing the pilot to fly it in manual. Pierre seemed to be
inexperienced on the situation because he yanked the stick the wrong way causing the plane to lose
speed, stall the jets, and then plummeting 35,000 feet in the air hitting the ocean. Due to the lack of
experience and relying on autopilot, Pierre has killed 228 passengers including crew members. If
people continue to rely on machines, the skills that they have gained and practiced will start to fail and
become useless. They won t know which type of action to do if the machine that they have relied on
fails. They may put innocent lives at risk, even themselves. People are just trying to find convenience,
speed, and efficiency for their job. This type of practice will cause people to make more errors when

Therapy Dogs
We always say, Dog is the best friend of human, but how many of us know the history of human
canine relation and things that dogs have done for us? Maybe the one who truly loves dogs will know
about these. There is no exactly record about how dogs came into our lives, but dogs have worked for
human for the last ten to twenty thousand years. Although many dogs work for human, it is not ethical
to treat every kind of animals as property. The animals are first independent living things, then they
are workers for human. Just like human, none of the employers would treat their employees as
property, because every one of us is equal. Working for someone does not mean that we are worse
than anyone else. One of our misunderstanding to animals is that we always think we are better than
animals mentally, but in fact, animals can feel, sense, and think more than human. Gus, a therapy dog

Also, avoid bleaching your hair. I know, we all want to know if blonde s really do have more fun, but
in the long run, your hair will hate you for it. I ve experienced it. The bleach dries out your hair
causing breakage and more frizz. The bleach also causes your hair to be so damaged that it won t
straighten as easy, thus causing you to turn up the degree of the straighter which will cause more
damage. Say no to bleach! Among avoiding bleach, have your hair trimmed on a regular basis;
roughly every six weeks or so. Everyone thinks if you don t trim your hair, then your hair will get
longer. well that is certainly not the case. If one doesn t trim their hair on a regular basis, then the split
ends will work their way up the hair strand, again causing more frizz. So ladies or gentlemen, spoil
your curls! Give them the love they deserve and avoid damaging them. Now your hair is silky smooth
and probably grew a few inches! Amazing what a little heat can do to your curls, right? Following the
steps above will give you beautiful movie star hair; however, avoid any humidity. Just a little water

Difference Between Administrative And Administrative Law
Constitutional and administrative law both govern the affairs of the state. Administrative law, an area
of law that gained early sophistication in France, was until well into this century largely unrecognized
in the United Kingdom as well as the United States. To the early English writers on administrative
law, there was virtually no difference between administrative law and constitutional law. This is
evident from the words of Keith: It is logically impossible to distinguish administrative from
constitutional law and all attempts to do so are artificial. Some jurists like Felix Frankfurter even went
as far as to call it illegitimate and exotic . Due to this lack of clarity, it will be vital to observe the
views of jurists and scholars on the difference between administrative law and constitutional law.
According to Holland, constitutional law describes the various organs of the government at rest, while
administrative law describes them in motion. Holland contends that the structure of the executive and
the legislature comes within the purview of constitutional law whereas their functioning is governed
by administrative law. Jennings puts forward another view, which says that administrative law deals
with the organization, functions, powers and duties of administrative authorities while constitutional
law deals with the general principles relating to the organization and powers of the various organs of
the State and their mutual relationships and relationship of these

Tangerine Paul Fisher Character Analysis
Secrets in Tangerine The definition of secret is something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or

Tangerine written by Edward Bloor. Tangerine is placed in Tangerine County Florida. Paul Fisher is

story as well. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have kept the secret of Paul s eyesight hidden for long enough that

The Rain Storm
Kate Chopin s short story The Storm represents lust and passion as emotional detachments from love
as a whole. It is made clear when the passionate affair shared between the the two married characters,
Calixta and Alcee, is just about sensual desiring and craving and not about the kind of intimacy that is
usually shared between two people desperate to live a happy life with one another.
On the contrary, the affair is depicted as a needed liberation from reality that needed to satisfy the
previously sparked lust felt between the characters in the past. The plot creates the atmosphere that the
affair needed to occur to uphold contentment within their separate marriages with their significant
others. Chopin s attitude in this story shows that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sexual scene that occurs begins with a strong image, crashing currents , that describes perfectly
what is happening both outside, with the storm, and inside, with the intense emotions. However, what
is interesting is Chopin s use of the color white. When one thinks of strong passion, one links the color
red to it, but that is not what Chopin uses. Instead, she uses the color white the color linked to purity
and innocence throughout the sexual scene. For example, she mentions how Her white neck and a
glimpse of her full, firm bosom disturbed him powerfully (Chopin), and that The generous abundance
of her passion, without guile or trickery, was like a white flame (Chopin). Describing her passion as a
white flame is quite interesting. Seeing as the color white is linked to purity, this is a strange way of
describing an adulterous

Theories Of Primary Language Acquisition
Two theories of primary language acquisition emerged from 1950s psychological research: B.F.
Skinner s behaviorist theory and Noam Chomsky s biological theory of language development.
Primary language acquisition addresses specifically the way in which an infant s native language is
beginning to form, starting at birth. Primary language acquisition continues to develop throughout the
rest of childhood within the critical period.
Skinner argued that children acquire and develop language based purely on the behaviorist theory,
which states behaviors are developed and focused around conditioning. If a certain behavior produces
a positive outcome, the individual is more likely to repeat that behavior. However, if a certain
behavior produces a negative outcome, the individual is less likely to repeat that specific behavior.
Conditioning, whether classical or operant, was the sole basis on which children acquired language. In
his Verbal Behavior, Skinner gives the following example: Out! Has the same ultimate effect as
turning the knob and pushing against the door. The explanation of both behaviors is the same.
(Skinner, 1949, p. 35) In this form of operant conditioning, Each response is acquired and continues to
be maintained in strength because it is frequently followed by an appropriate consequence. (Skinner,
1949, p. 35) Because Out! is followed by the appropriate consequence, i.e., successfully opening and
leaving through the door, the behavior is likely to be

Miami Heat Argumentative Essay
Rumors are swirling around the web that the Miami Heat is eyeing 5 free agent players who can
helped them improve their 3 point shooting skills. Although, the Miami heat were doing better,
finishing 27th in the last season in 3 point field goal percentage at 33.6 percent. But for the Heat these
all figures are not enough, today s ballgames have evolved into something different where most NBA
teams value the 3 point shots more than ever. They now seeing the 3 point shots as a potential deadly
weapon, a kind of weapon that has the potential to win a game. So how can this South beach team like
the Miami Heat can improve their 3 point shooting season this offseason? The answer lies to the
players, the Heat needs something very good, something ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The 6 foot 8 inches Charlotte Hornets shooting guard has been regarded by many in the NBA as a
skilled defensive player, and one of the NBA s best executors of the chase down block. The chase
down block has always been a part of Batum s game and it s a terrible weapon for the Heat especially
when they are playing defense. Currently, there are only two players in the 2012 13 season who did
not play center or power forward had more blocks than Batum, its Houston Rockets Josh Smith and
Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder.[27]
The 27 year old shooting guard has a career 36 percent shooter from long range, but acquiring Batum
could be expensive for the Heat, though, as he could command a max contract this offseason due to
the increase in the NBA salary cap. Overall, it s still a smart move for the Heat.
Forward Ryan Anderson is another key player for the Heat. The 28 years old forward has been
considered by many as one of the most dangerous shooters in the NBA league, finishing 10th among
all NBA rookies in three point field goal percentage (.365 69 of 189). Anderson has a career 37.7
percent shooter from 3 point

History And Independence Of The United Kingdom
One of the richest countries, once ruled move then over half the world now outlines many countries
deep history and independence. The United Kingdom ran an empire that had it all. Our history dates
back to more than 800,000 years ago. The country had a charm to the unsullied land, with majestic
castles rich with liberty, breathtaking coastlines and undulating meadows for miles. Great Britain was
the land with a prosperous future; the power it held was overwhelming. At the peak of its power, the
phrase the empire on which the sun never sets was often used to describe the British Empire, because
its expanse around the globe meant that the sun was always shining on at least one of its territories. By
1922 the British Empire held sway over about 458 million people, one fifth of the world s population
at the time. This is a great deal for such a small nation. We were running our own country as well as
many others and essentially ruling the world.
As time goes on we are hit not with one war but two, collapsing the economy causing a recession,
inflation and strikes in 1973. At these desperate times looking across the English Channel, we see the
striving illusion of a booming economy with six westernized countries, Belgium, France, West
Germany, Italy, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. They called them selves the European Union. In a
moment of great despair we thought we were joining a growing market when in fact we were
confiding ourselves to a dwelling customs union. Joining

Andy Warhol Interpretation
The movie Superstar: The Life and Times of Andy Warhol describes his work as being focused on sex,
drugs, and beautiful people. All these of these aspects are a part of Andy Warhol s personal life and the
popular culture of the 1960s. Deeply rooted in the popular culture of the time were the ideas of
images,
power and politics, all of which are shown through his work.
Representation is, as described in Practices of Looking , is the use of language and images in order to
create a meaning and viewer interpretation. This interpretation is a way for the audience to either
better understand or alter their view of their world and reality. Many of Andy Warhol s artistic pieces
played off the same idea of representation that was present in Rene ... Show more content on

Andy Warhol s 32
Campbell s Soup Cans exemplifies the same ideas of representation. As Warhol explained, the soup
cans were a part of his previous personal life, they were something that he had for lunch every single
day as a child. The Campbell s cans relate to Magritte because both painting merely represent the
image
that is shown. Just as the pipe is not actually a pipe, the soup cans aren t actually soup cans. Both as
representations of aspects of the current culture. They create meaning, maybe evoke a memory.
One of Andy s pieces, The Nose Job illustrates the idea behind the myth of photographic truth. The
myth is the idea that while a photo is supposed to offer a truth , there are always several truths and
limitations that come with a photograph. This idea explains that the truth of a photo is actually a myth
and not a truth at all. The artistic piece by Andy depicts two images, one with a woman whose nose is
overhung, sort of like a witch nose. The second image is one with the American beauty nose. This was
a
time in history where physical appearance was becoming more emphasized and the beauty of

Behavioral, Social Cognitive, And Information Processing
Learning has become a central focus in this fast developing world. Education is becoming more and
more valuable due to economic advancements. According to text on page 307, Learning can be
defined as a relatively permanent influence on behavior, knowledge and thinking skills that comes
about through experience. Each person has a unique way of learning, and for a child, it is the teacher s
responsibility to understand how each child learns. There are several different learning theories.
However, we will be discussing these three main theories Behavioral, Social Cognitive, and
Information Processing. Behaviorism is everything that we can directly observe. According to the text
on page 308, For the behaviorist, behavior is everything ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Central to this approach is the cognitive process of memory and thinking. Information processing
theory usually gets compared with computer devices, in that it receives data( Sensory memory),
processes it(Short term memory), and delivers it(Long term memory). The brain collect information
from the senses(input), processes it(storage) and brings a behavioral response (output). Information
processing theory has been evolved and expanded over the years. Most well known at the beginning of
information processing models is Atkinson and Shiffrin s stage theory, exhibiting the following
method, as presented earlier, of input processing output. As an example, my son was having difficulty
in learning reading and counting, e.g., remembering alphabets shapes or sound and counting numbers.
He was notably behind from his first grade class. However, he could remember the shapes and would
count his tiniest Lego. To get his interest, I started playing with his lego while making words and
saying them and labeled his legos with numbers. As he progressed in remembering and sounding the
letters and numbers, presently he started reading books and is learning sight words and addition and
subtraction with the

I Ask For Peace Of Spirit And Prosperity By Sandra Cisneros
Min Zhan Lu and Bruce Horner are English professors at the University of Louisville, who are co
authors of Writing Conventions. In this textbook, Lu and Horner define genre characteristics as,
setting, aims, relations to other genres, medium, and effect on self and life (Lu Horner 69). They also
discuss tinkering with genre itself. Genre is the base model which is expected to take a particular
form. For example in the collection of writings, Little Miracles, Kept Promises, author Sandra
Cisneros has eloquently expressed how the diversity of ideas themes within the several writings can
all be thought of as the single genre of prayers. One of the prayers that adheres to the expected genre
is, ... I ask for peace of spirit and prosperity (Cisneros 271). When the idea of prayer is discussed, a
person thinks of a positive respectful conversation between a person and a higher power that can also
ask for the health and wellbeing of people in their daily lives, while refraining from overzealous
material demands. Therefore asking for peace of spirit and prosperity would adhere to the guidelines
of prayer as a single genre. Changing the expected genre can be beneficial, but also can change the
aims or effect of the genre making the purpose unsuccessful. The majority of the writings by Cisneros
follow the common standard for the genre of prayer. On the other hand many of the writings tinker
with the genre of prayer. Lu and Horner describe tinkering with a genre as

Atrial Fibrillation And Heart Failure
Introduction There are approximately 5.7 million people in the United States diagnosed with heart
failure and about half of those diagnoses will die due to causes related to heart failure within five
years ( Heart Failure , 2016). Heart failure related deaths vary by geographic locations; however, they
are most predominant among men and offer a greater risk to women if left untreated. Heart failure is a
serious medical condition, if diagnosed and treated early enough, the chance of preventing death
increase.
Heart failure is a syndrome where the heart lacks the ability to pump blood effectively throughout the
body for a prolonged period. It often co exists with other diseases or related illnesses that causes
damage to the heart, such as atrial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ECG is a test that connects wires to the chest and arms displaying the electrical signals of the
heart on a monitor. In atrial fibrillation, the monitor will display no discernable, independent P waves,
but rather replaced by evident F waves. The QRS complex will vary with R R intervals and result in a
rapid, narrow complex (Goralnick, 2015). The ECG can also provide other information such as
presence of bundle branch block, left ventricle hypertrophy, and prior myocardial infraction (Floyd,
2016). The holter monitor is a portable ECG that is carried around and records 24 hours or more of
heart activity to later be interrupted by the doctor. The event recorder is again the portable ECG that is
intended to record weeks to months of heart activity and records only if an episode of atrial fibrillation
occurs. The echocardiogram is a noninvasive test that shows a video image of the heart originated by
sound waves. These images can show if there is any structural damage of the heart. Blood tests are
completed to eliminate thyroid issues or other biomarkers in the blood that could be causing the atrial
fibrillation (Mayo Clinical Staff, 2015). Positive biomarker results are elevated C reactive protein and
B type natriuretic peptide

The amendment has three sections. The first one states equality of rights under the law should not be denied by the U.S on the account of one s sex. Section two says that congress has the power to enforce this law. Last but not least, section three says the amendment will take effect two years after ratification. The ERA is a proposed amendment made to guarantee equal rights to all U.S. citizens no matter the sex. In 1872 when the issue was introduced to congress it was quickly sent out to the states to get the opinion of the amendment. Many states ratified the amendment shortly after it was sent out. She has impacted many people in this world from the struggles and hardships she went through to try to make things right for women. Paul was a very intelligent women, she graduated at the top of her class. Congress gave the amendment seven years for ratification when it was submitted in 1972. Many states ratified the amendment quickly, other states refused the ratification. A big debate in the time of the amendment ratification was that women were just different then men. Women would never hold the same powers and fulfill the same things as men. Women began to form many organizations to support the amendment. Women tried everything in their power to get the law passed. The constitution s 14th amendment is to protect the right of all citizens, but that does not guarantee the discrimination of the sex. The equal rights movement would make a better standard for deciding on cases of sex discrimination. The 14th amendment does not protect anyone from sex discrimination. The ERA would provide legal defense to women s rights. This amendment would help all humanity, not just women. Still today, sex discrimination is still an ongoing event. We still need the passing of the ERA. Although, since then women s rights have improved. Women are still not equal to men. If it came down to it men would still be chosen over a women. It can be a place to escape reality, to relax, to learn, or to philosophize all we have to do is look. In this case the 2000 film Memento by ... can also act as a gateway to understanding John Locke s memory theory of personal identity. Locke s theory, in summary, states that one s identity exists as far back as one can consciously remember. Whether it was your fourth birthday party or your high school graduation, as far back as you can remember is where your identity begins. Which is where the dilemma of Leonard Shelby comes into play. Leonard Shelby suffers from a condition of anterograde amnesia, where he cannot create new memories, however, long term memories from before his accident remain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, instead of the photo becoming clearer, the photo fades, just as our own memories fade. Which leads to the question: are Leonard s memories even reliable? At the end of the film Teddy tells Leonard that it was actually his wife that was the diabetic, not Sammy Jankis and that he killed his wife by injecting her with insulin. The film then shows Leonard injecting his wife on the bed, but then switches quickly back to him pinching her. This could actually be a way of telling the audience that Leonard is suppressing his memories so that he can create another mystery/puzzle to figure out. He might not only be suppressing his memories but altering them as well. There is a moment in the film where Sammy is sitting in a chair in what appears to be a mental institution. For a short moment Sammy is replaced by Leonard, who is then replaced by Sammy, further proving that Leonard s memories may not be as reliable as were let on. His story might have instead combined with that of Sammy s morphing his memories into something he believes. Teddy even touches on this when he says that Leonards story of Sammy Jankis, Gets better every time you tell it. Which indicates some alteration of the story. Which brings the question again, who is Leonard? Teddy sums this up very well at the end of the film when he asks Leonard You don t know who you are...That s who you were. That s not...what you ve become. If this speculation happens to be true then Leonard Shelby as he once was before the accident no longer exists. He is now a hybrid between Sammy and his previous self. As Locke mentioned, so that whatever has the consciousness of present and past actions, is the same person to whom they both belong (Locke). According to Kolb (1984), a person learns through experience and discovery. This theory is built around a learning cycle that involves 4 principles: 1) concrete experience, 2) reflective experience, 3) abstract conceptualization, and 4) active experimentation. Educators initially provide learners with opportunities to use concrete resources in learning about new concepts. Students then review their learning and reflect on the experience. This is followed by the opportunity to form abstract ideas using the new concepts and finally testing the concepts in new circumstances and situations. The following is an example of my application of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In support of the Kolb learning cycle, I employ the principles of Mayer s Multimedia Cognitive Theory (2014) and provide my students with a wide variety of resources that support the fourth grade curriculum. According to Mayer (2015), students learn better with multimedia messages designed to reflect the workings of the human mind. The theory is based on 3 principles: 1) we receive messages best when they are delivered through two channels (audio/visual), 2) each of these channels has a limited capacity for delivery, and 3) learning is a process that takes place through filtering, organization, integration of knowledge based on prior knowledge. Our school has a subscription to IXL, an online math program that provides extensive opportunities for practice through effective and engaging audio visual activities. Each student has an individual account. The program follows Nova Scotia math outcomes and is divided by grade level and math strand. I assign specific activities within the corresponding math strand. I am able to track student achievement levels in successfully demonstrating understanding of determining area through this program. • 5. Truman s Speech In The Truman Doctrine By Harry S. Truman Harry S. Truman was very much involved in war. He wanted to help join the fight and even though his eyesight was poor, he still enlisted in the National Guard and in World War I, he became and artillery commander. Throughout his life, Harry S. Truman was always a go getter. He always wanted to help in wars and make sure America came out on top. This go getter attitude he expressed is very plainly visible in his speech: The Truman Doctrine . The purpose, tone, and subject of this speech all points toward what President Truman wanted to do with Greece and Turkey. The speaker, audience, and occasion also help Harry S. The whole speech was his tone toward this subject because it was about how he wanted to try and fix the problems in Greece and Turkey. It is necessary only to glance at a map to realize that the survival and integrity of the Greek nation are of grave importance in a much wider situation. If Greece should fall under the control of an armed minority, the effect upon its neighbor, Turkey, would be immediate and serious. Confusion and disorder might well spread throughout the entire Middle East. Moreover, the disappearance of Greece as an independent state would have a profound effect upon those countries in Europe whose peoples are struggling against great difficulties to maintain their freedoms and their independence while they repair the damages of war. Here President Truman was talking about what would have happened should America have failed to help Greece and Turkey. The diction he used made each sentence even more horrible and when combining all of those sentences together, you had a paragraph that would have made people turn their heads. This is a serious course upon which we embark. I would not recommend it except that the alternative is much more serious. The United States contributed $341,000,000,000 toward winning World War II. This is an investment in world freedom and world peace. The assistance that I am recommending for Greece and Turkey amounts to little more than 1 tenth of 1 percent of this investment. It is only common sense that we should safeguard this investment and make sure that it was not in vain. The seeds of totalitarian regimes are nurtured by misery and want. They spread and grow in the evil soil of poverty and strife. They reach their full growth when the hope of a people for a better life has died. President Truman tried to make his point clear in helping Greece and Turkey. He tried to defend his points and make them just. From this paragraph alone, it is very distinct ... The concept is familiar in which a group of young adults are trapped inside a building with a masked killer, who stalks them one by one and kills them. This type of premise is considered tried and true, but because there have been so many films with the same concept, to be successful the story and/or the characters needs to offer the genre something new and refreshing. Thus, the script needs to find a more unique hook to stand out from other similar films. With that said, the script would benefit from further development, as there are several elements that are worth discussing. First, the story opens setting the tone. Right now, his murder blends in with the others and doesn t stand out. Also, if the killer is after Arthur, it s not understood why the killer would go after the other crewmembers, but doesn t kill the security guard. If the killing is not related to Arthur, this needs to be clarified. The pace of the first act also feels slow. There are non essential scenes that do not move the script forward, such as the picking up of the van and several of the conversations are not compelling enough in the first (and throughout the script). In addition, there s very little real character development crafted in the first act. Thus, make the first act more exciting and move up the inciting event. Rick appears to be the protagonist. However, he needs to be more proactive. First, he needs to be developed as a more relatable character with depth. His motivation for making the film seems to be money, but the audience knows very little about him. When the killings begin, Rick never comes up with a plan of action to try and defeat the foe. While there are many arguments and testimonies that support either side, there is a clear answer. There are countless examples of ways in which religion has, and is continuing to regress society s views and morals. Stephen Hawking, one of the greatest minds of our time said Before we understood science, it was natural to believe that God created the universe, but now science offers a more convincing explanation. He is absolutely correct. It is human nature to seek explanations for life s big questions. Therefore, back when there was no understanding of much at all, the concept of God provided all the answers. Now, however, with research and evidence to back up discoveries, it is irresponsible to completely reject them. In history, an example of this is Galileo s theory of Heliocentrism. Because society was ruled by a theocracy at the time, it was said that the earth was the center of the universe and the sun revolved around it. Galileo s theory that the earth revolves around the sun and the sun was the center of the universe, although not entirely correct, was an important breakthrough for science. Galileo was convicted for having opinions that challenge scripture and was sentenced to house arrest until he died. Although nothing this extreme occurs in the western world today, not much has changed in terms of belief. Today, most churches have realized how ineffectual it is to fight science, and have claimed that there are in fact no contradictions between science and religion. Would China today even exist or would it have been consumed by another superior country? During the reign of Qing Emperor Daoguang (1820 1850), foreign trade was only allowed in the commercial port of Canton. Due to the foreign trade policy, for Britain to obtain Chinese goods they would have to purchase them with silver. Silver was China s currency at that time. The English speaking merchants were not allowed to learn Chinese and were to be harshly punished if they left the port to enter China. This frustrated the British East India Company. They had very few restrictions from foreign ports and companies. The reasoning behind this was they had already seized control of them. I have had my license for just over a year now, and have discovered a three step process to make your car sparkle after you are done washing it. First you have to gather your materials, second you wash the car with soap, and third you dry your car off. There are many different types of supplies you can use to wash your car but i have found out that the basics do the same job as the fancy cleaning supplies. The most important supplies are a bucket, a large sponge, hose with running water, and soap. The brand of soap you use plays a big role in how shiny and clean your car will get. To ensure that your don t miss any areas break your car up into five areas top ,two sides, front, and back. You start at the top of your car so that the dirt on top does not run down onto parts of the car that you have already cleaned. On the top of the car, first you wet the entire roof with water. Second grab you sponge that has been soaking in your soap and bubbles and cover the entire roof with suds. Third rinse off the top of the car Making sure no suds are left. After that re soak your sponge in the bucket and re apply to the roof. The reason you apply the suds to the roof twice it to ensure all the dirt is removed and it is thoroughly cleaned. After you finish the roof you can move on to the next section of your car. Repeat the same steps you did for the roof on each of the other four sections. This will ensure that all the dirt and grime is removed from the car. Once you have finished washing the body and windows of your car you can move down to the rims and tires. The tires and rims are washed last so that the sponge doesn t get gravel stuck in it and therefor the gravel will scratch the body paint on the car. The same process for washing the car is applied to the rims and tires. The third step for having a clean and sparkling car is to hand dry the car after you are finished washing it. The reason you hand dry it is so no watermarks or soap stains are left behind. It usually takes about two beach towels to dry the whole car. To dry the car properly use the wax on wax off method that Mr. Miyagi taught in the karate kid. Once the car is wiped down take it for a sort drive around your neighborhood so that the wind can dry any spots that were accidentally ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Administrative law, an area of law that gained early sophistication in France, was until well into this century largely unrecognized in the United Kingdom as well as the United States. To the early English writers on administrative law, there was virtually no difference between administrative law and constitutional law. This is evident from the words of Keith: It is logically impossible to distinguish administrative from constitutional law and all attempts to do so are artificial. Some jurists like Felix Frankfurter even went as far as to call it illegitimate and exotic . Due to this lack of clarity, it will be vital to observe the views of jurists and scholars on the difference between administrative law and constitutional law. According to Holland, constitutional law describes the various organs of the government at rest, while administrative law describes them in motion. Holland contends that the structure of the executive and the legislature comes within the purview of constitutional law whereas their functioning is governed by administrative law. Jennings puts forward another view, which says that administrative law deals with the organization, functions, powers and duties of administrative authorities while constitutional law deals with the general principles relating to the organization and powers of the various organs of the State and their mutual relationships and relationship of these ... Skinner s behaviorist theory and Noam Chomsky s biological theory of language development. Primary language acquisition addresses specifically the way in which an infant s native language is beginning to form, starting at birth. Primary language acquisition continues to develop throughout the rest of childhood within the critical period. Skinner argued that children acquire and develop language based purely on the behaviorist theory, which states behaviors are developed and focused around conditioning. If a certain behavior produces a positive outcome, the individual is more likely to repeat that behavior. However, if a certain behavior produces a negative outcome, the individual is less likely to repeat that specific behavior. Conditioning, whether classical or operant, was the sole basis on which children acquired language. In his Verbal Behavior, Skinner gives the following example: Out! Has the same ultimate effect as turning the knob and pushing against the door. The explanation of both behaviors is the same. Most well known at the beginning of information processing models is Atkinson and Shiffrin s stage theory, exhibiting the following method, as presented earlier, of input processing output. As an example, my son was having difficulty in learning reading and counting, e.g., remembering alphabets shapes or sound and counting numbers. He was notably behind from his first grade class. However, he could remember the shapes and would count his tiniest Lego. To get his interest, I started playing with his lego while making words and saying them and labeled his legos with numbers. As he progressed in remembering and sounding the letters and numbers, presently he started reading books and is learning sight words and addition and subtraction with the ... • 44. I Ask For Peace Of Spirit And Prosperity By Sandra Cisneros Min Zhan Lu and Bruce Horner are English professors at the University of Louisville, who are co authors of Writing Conventions. In this textbook, Lu and Horner define genre characteristics as, setting, aims, relations to other genres, medium, and effect on self and life (Lu Horner 69). They also discuss tinkering with genre itself. Genre is the base model which is expected to take a particular form. For example in the collection of writings, Little Miracles, Kept Promises, author Sandra Cisneros has eloquently expressed how the diversity of ideas themes within the several writings can all be thought of as the single genre of prayers. One of the prayers that adheres to the expected genre is, ... I ask for peace of spirit and prosperity (Cisneros 271). When the idea of prayer is discussed, a person thinks of a positive respectful conversation between a person and a higher power that can also ask for the health and wellbeing of people in their daily lives, while refraining from overzealous material demands. Therefore asking for peace of spirit and prosperity would adhere to the guidelines of prayer as a single genre. Changing the expected genre can be beneficial, but also can change the aims or effect of the genre making the purpose unsuccessful. The majority of the writings by Cisneros follow the common standard for the genre of prayer. On the other hand many of the writings tinker with the genre of prayer. Lu and Horner describe tinkering with a genre as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Atrial Fibrillation And Heart Failure Introduction There are approximately 5.7 million people in the United States diagnosed with heart failure and about half of those diagnoses will die due to causes related to heart failure within five years ( Heart Failure , 2016). Heart failure related deaths vary by geographic locations; however, they are most predominant among men and offer a greater risk to women if left untreated. Heart failure is a serious medical condition, if diagnosed and treated early enough, the chance of preventing death increase. Heart failure is a syndrome where the heart lacks the ability to pump blood effectively throughout the body for a prolonged period. It often co exists with other diseases or related illnesses that causes damage to the heart, such as atrial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ECG is a test that connects wires to the chest and arms displaying the electrical signals of the heart on a monitor. In atrial fibrillation, the monitor will display no discernable, independent P waves, but rather replaced by evident F waves. The QRS complex will vary with R R intervals and result in a rapid, narrow complex (Goralnick, 2015). The ECG can also provide other information such as presence of bundle branch block, left ventricle hypertrophy, and prior myocardial infraction (Floyd, 2016). The holter monitor is a portable ECG that is carried around and records 24 hours or more of heart activity to later be interrupted by the doctor. The event recorder is again the portable ECG that is intended to record weeks to months of heart activity and records only if an episode of atrial fibrillation occurs. The echocardiogram is a noninvasive test that shows a video image of the heart originated by sound waves. These images can show if there is any structural damage of the heart. Blood tests are completed to eliminate thyroid issues or other biomarkers in the blood that could be causing the atrial fibrillation (Mayo Clinical Staff, 2015). Positive biomarker results are elevated C reactive protein and B type natriuretic peptide ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
