Analysis Of David Vs. Goliath Decision-Making Strategies
It can be disheartening at times to produce content that will compete with massive industry leaders,
especially if you have a local market that is competing with a global business. More and more of
these massive corporations are seeing the value of content marketing and making it a part of their
digital strategy.
So that puts your content in a David versus Goliath situation. The industry leader has a wider reach,
is viewed as a more authoritative source, and probably ranks better on Google. It is possible to
outrank huge corporations and industry leaders. You can do it with some clever planning, creative
content and solid SEO work.

Different people prefer specific content types. If a person prefers a YouTube tutorial for a task,
but the industry leaders only have blogs articles about it, you can fill that need your target market
has. If you have a different content version than the rest, you ll be more likely to rank high on
search results. Google tries to have diverse content for answering inquiries to match what people
want.
Diversifying content is extremely helpful when trying to find what works best with your target
market. As you find what is the most effective, you can invest more time improving the SEO aspect

The Collapse Of The Minoan
One may ask, who are the Minoans? Well they are considered by many Historians and
Archeologists to be the first great European Civilization. Some people believed that this was the
mythical land of Atlantis. They were located near the Aegean Sea and lands such as Greece,
Troy and Asia Minor. One interesting fact is that these people never called themselves the
Minoans. There wasn t any name listed in the history books for these people but the Ancient
Crete Civilization. They were known as the Crete Civilization because they lived on the island
of Crete which is now part of Greece. It wasn t until a 19th century British Archeologist, Sir
Author Evans gave them the name, The Minoans. He gave them this name because he believed
he had found the legendary palace of King Minos. There has been many civilization collapses
over the World s history, but most can be explained in great detail. There are some that are very
mysterious and not definitively explained. The collapse of the Minoan people happens to be one
of those mysterious collapses which ranks 3rd in the top ten most mysterious collapses of the
world and is still to this day debated on what actually caused their demise. There are many factors
that go into the collapse of a civilization, but this kind of catastrophe doesn t just happen in a blink
of an eye this is something that happens over a long period of time. This paper will touch on the
climate and environment, the time period and culture, how they became

Vietnamese And American Culture Analysis
During her memoir, there are multiple instances where she displays herself being stuck between
Vietnamese and American culture, but on one instance she explicitly describes her realization of
being stuck in between cultures. There is a particular moment in her memoir when she talks about
herself and her sister, Anh attending a Vietnamese party (Nguyen 113). She and her sister had
attended multiple Vietnamese parties before but they eventually lost interest in them (Nguyen 113).
As they had not celebrated Tet, which is the Vietnamese New Year, in their usual manner, they
decided that they would tag along their father and Noi who were going to a Tet party (Nguyen

The Energy Content Of Solar
SOLAR PONDS
1.INTRODUCTION The energy content of solar radiation can be used as light, heat and electricity.
This diversity means that solar power is an option different power systems important food
worldwide. In fact, interest in solar power systems has been increasing in recent years worldwide.
This interest to several factors, such as environmental awareness, effort should be to minimize the
dependence on non renewable fossil fuels countries and international agreements that require the
reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere of the earth. Heat storage technologies, systems
and applications are studied in the field of solar energy. One way to collect and store solar energy
by using solar ponds can be used to provide thermal energy for various applications, such as
process and space heating, water desalination, refrigeration, drying and power generation. Thermal
energy storage has always been the most important energy storage option. Solar ponds are a classic
application of thermal energy storage and efficiency essentially depends on the storage capacity of
the fluid, Thermo physical properties of pond conditions and surroundings. Recently, attention has
been paid to friendly sources to the environment, sustainable energy, such as solar energy. In this
respect, solar ponds seem to be a potential for the application method. In this respect, solar ponds

Describe The Importance Of Road Safety Inspections
Road Safety Inspections
Road safety inspections are important. The material explicitly describes the importance of safety
inspections. Without road inspections, the streets and highways would be a chaos for commuters
(Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014). Just imagined if the overgrown shrubs and trees hid the traffic road
signs and directional signs pointing in the wrong way. This would be a recipe for disaster.
Additional lives would be at risk by this potential roadway hazards. Identifying potential roadway
hazards timely may reduce the mortality rate (Ward, Otto Linkenbach, 2014).
The Office of Traffic Safety and other similar agencies are working diligently to develop a remedial
measure to save drivers lives (DOT, 2011). To alleviate the road hazards in Minnesota, the road
safety inspector conducts routine safety inspections. The safety inspector examines the highways,
construction signs, bridges, and obstructions that may block the motorists view (DOT, 2011). The
State of Minnesota is vulnerable to various potential hazards. These hazards are associated with
man made and natural disasters that threatens the loss of life and property.
Inspector Role
An inspection is a critical element that detects and responds to potential hazards. For example, the
inspector ensures that the road signs are visible both day and night. In Minnesota, public safety
department encourages the citizens to report any potential road hazards like potholes and damaged
road signs.

Clackamas Child Service Complaint
The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge that this office has received your two customer service
complaints from the North Clackamas Child Welfare branch of the Department of Human Services.
The first complaint received on July 15, 2015 detailed the difficulty you had in reaching the STARS
team to schedule an assessment because you were provided the incorrect telephone number.
The second complaint, received on July 17, recorded your displeasure that the scheduled visit on
this date was delayed more than five minutes causing you to be late for your school classes. You
described that the Child Welfare program was nelegense .
We appreciate you taking the time to provide information on barriers that prohibit you from gaining

many individuals who evaluate the safety and welfare of children with the objective of keeping

Noah Compare And Contrast Essay
In this essay I will compare and contrast the movie Noah and the bible references of Noah in
Genesis 5 10. Sometimes when you read a book and then watch a movie about it, it s completely
different. But in the movie Noah and in the bible it basically follows his life the same, there aren t
really any differences. In the movie it describes about his life and his three sons Shem, Ham, and
Japheth. And in the bible it describes about his life and three sons.
Most importantly, in the movie Noah as young boy he witnesses his father Lamech get killed by
Tubal Cain. And years later as a young man Noah is living with his wife Naameh, and three sons
Shem, Ham, and Japheth. After witnessing a flower grow from the concrete and being haunted
by dreams of a flood, Noah takes time to visit his grandfather Methuselah. After meeting some
people that had recently died they find one survivor, so Noah and his wife decided to adopt her
a young girl named lla. Then Noah and his family are chased by Tubal Cain and his men seek
refuge with the fallen angels known as The Watchers . Methuselah gives Noah a seed from Eden

But in the bible it doesn t really go into detail about what happened with him before the great
flood . And his wife isn t really addresses her by her name Naameh. In the bible it continuously

Methuselah was when he died which he was 969 years old when he died. And it also says that
Noah was 500 years old when he produced his three sons. In the bible in chapter 7 it explains how
god told Noah that he would cause it to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. It also says that Noah was
600 years old when he followed gods command and the flood waters began and he took his wife
and sons and his sons wives and went into the ark. Because of the flood

Case Study Booth House
An assessment is the evaluation of what a client s needs and issues are. Assessments are more in
depth than screening. A screening is brief and aims to get a quick understanding of the problem
that is affecting the client, and the severity of the problem. Booth House does a screening
process in the form of their Hotline call, and an assessment when they do their Intake. A Hotline
Call is the screening process that will inform those looking for shelter if they can receive shelter
at Booth House. The first question aims to get the name, age and sex of the individual who is
seeking shelter. It than askes about who is making the call and the reason why the individual or
the person who is calling needs to receive shelter. This question is important because if factors
into the decision of if the youth will receive shelter or not. The other questions during this
screening process that is a deciding factor is if the teen has a medical illness, is a firer starter, or
has a mental health diagnosis.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Upon arriving housekeeping policies have to be met before completing the assessment. Once those
are done the assessment must begin. The assessment is a continuation of the Hotline call but is
more in depth. The question in the assessment are geared more toward getting a better
understanding of what the teen s problem is, why they are seeking shelter and what they are feeling
about the process. This always the staff to get a better understanding of the issue in the words of the
teen. Unfortunately, the assessment does not take into account the youths strength. It would be
beneficial for the youth to know that someone saw a strength on them. Many of the youth that come
to Booth House have low self esteem and do not believe in themselves. Just asking them what they
think their strengths are and then reaffirming that thought would help to give them a boost of

Privatization of Russian Industries
For some, the privatization of Russian industry has been one of the great success stories of Russia
s painful economic transition: quick, firm and radical action was taken to shift the great bulk of
Russian industry out of state hands, thereby laying the basis for a radical restructuring of
enterprises and improvements in their performance. Others see privatization as a best a failure, at
worst a catastrophe. Not surprisingly those opposed to the market and economic reform as a whole
sharethis view. But many commentators who see themselves as supporters of reform find plenty in
Russian privatization to criticize: the process led to the transfer of ownershipto inappropriate people
and as a consequence no beneficial restructuring of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Collective ownership derives either from a natural alliance between managers and rank and file
employees, probably based on Soviet traditions of paternalism and the В‘social contract , or from
the need of managers to pander to workers who control a majority of voting rights at shareholder
meetings. Although some observers might find a collective ownership outcome desirable, on the
grounds that it provides for workplace democracy and high incentive work habits, reform oriented
commentators generally find it a form of ownership likely to lead to the maintenance of excessively
high levels of underemployed staff and an over concentration on consumption at the expense of
investment.
The management ownership outcome derives from the ability of management to totally dominate
divided, demoralized or indifferent rank and file employees. The argument that they do so by
bribing employees with promises of secure employment and the maintenance of social welfare
provisions is essentially the same as that presented in the previous paragraph on collective
ownership. However, there is an increasing awareness among commentators that any Soviet
paternalism and coincidence of management worker interests that might have once existed have not
survived the rigors of the transition and the self interest of managers. As A.S. Bim puts it:
Given serious В‘positional differences between managers and other employees, it seemed
reasonable as early as

Fight Club American Dream Essay
The capability of all Americans to achieve the American dream is what many believe to have made
this country great. Perhaps this is why more immigrants flock to the United States than any other
nation, because they view America as the land of opportunity , because here anyone can achieve the
American dream. Generally, the American dream is the belief that anyone, even one at a low
income level, can achieve success and make themselves content if they work hard enough and are
determined. Unfortunately, when looking at certain aspects of society, it s apparent that nothing
can be further from the truth. For example, a person can pursue and live the American dream and
still be unhappy. Also, the lifestyle that one may live to pursue the American dream can be
dehumanizing. Both of these examples are flaws in the American dream that can be seen in the film
Fight Club. Furthermore, rising levels of income inequality and the crushing debtpeople face also
shows flaws in the idea of the American dream. When analyzing the evidence, it s clear that in the
modern United States, the American dream is non existent.
An example of how the American dream is extinct is how one can live in the state of the typical
American Dream and still live an unhappy life. An example of this would be in the movie Fight
Club. In this movie the narrator is unhappy despite living the American Dream. He has a successful
corporate job as an automobile recall specialist and owns a home. Despite his success the

The family dynamics stated, his privacy and mine had been exclusive (Wideman 674). So for
them to open up to each other about the mistakes they have both made was hard but eventually
all the pieces fell into place. In order to develop their bond they needed to open up and express
to each other their issues. If they were to avoid each other John would have never fully
developed his writing skills. The first topic they covered was the lies Robby has told over the
years. Like how he staged a robbery in his own house and stole a TV to pawn for money for
drugs. John still feels as though he can relate with his brother on a new level of trust and respect.
But where was I? Who was I? How did I miss so much (Wideman 687)? John admits to himself
here that the situation with Robby had gotten so out of hand for him and his family most of the
time they chose to look away. He has blocked so many wrongful actions from his mind that
Robby s confession made him realize all that he had been suppressing for years. John feels like a
hypocrite because when the TV was stolen his father in law bought him and his wife a new one.
With their homeowners insurance though they were refunded 100 dollars. Instead of giving it to
his father in law he chose to keep it. When the truth came out his father in law was hurt and felt that
John had manipulated the situation. Though this is a small mistake compared to Robby and his
crimes, Wideman begins to feel

Example Of Premium Pasta Maker
Premium Pasta Maker:
Instructions on How to Use:
You first need to mix up your ingredients for the dough, of course. Make sure that the dough is not
so moist that it will stick to your pasta maker. Also, make sure that the dough is not too dry, or it
will fall apart when it comes out. Mother thing that makes it easier when using this pasta maker is to
have two people working it. One will need to hold on to the dough and feed it in while another
turns the crank to make sure that the dough does not try to bunch up and get clumpy. Do this a
little at a time so that you can straighten the dough as it comes out so that there is not just a big
lump of clay at the end of the process. All in all, it is a very simple process even though it is a bit

Body Composition Lab Report
Introduction In the laboratory body composition measurements were taken in a practice setting.
Body composition is just describing what the body is made up of. These measurements were
taken from men and women, 21 to 25 years of age. Today many people have different health
problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and more. Body composition
matters when it comes to this, because being overweight and unhealthy makes a difference.
Knowing where a person weight needs to be to stay and feel healthy is important. (However note
just because a person looks a certain way does not always mean they are unhealthy or healthy)
Therefore measurements must be as accurate as possible. The hypothesis is that humans are more
likely to come upon errors more likely than a machine, especially if measurements are taken by

Effects of Surfactants on Suppository Absorption Essay...
Suppositories are the frequently used dosage forms prescribed through rectal route. However,
suppositories have the limitation of prolonged onset of action which can be attributed to poor drug
release properties of suppository base. Surfactants can increase the drug release to aid absorption by
reducing the interfacial tension between rectal fluids and the suppositorybase. The objective of this
study was to examine the effect of different concentrations of sodium lauryl sulphate and tween 80
on the drug release of paracetamol from suppositories of palm kernel base (HAMINВ®). Sodium
lauryl sulphate (SLS) and tween 80 were used in this study to examine their effect on the drug

Drugs are incorporated into suitable suppository bases which may be fatty base or water soluble
base to form suppositories into suitable shape to be inserted into the rectum. [3] In the rectum, the
suppositories release their drug content by melting at body temperature or dissolving in rectal
mucous secretion to be diffused across the rectal epithelium into the mucosa that is abundantly
vascularised. [4] The drug can be absorbed through the middle and inferior rectal veins into
systemic circulation by passing the hepatic first pass metabolism, which gives the rectal route of
administration an extra advantage. Paracetamol is a well known drug for its analgesic and
antipyretic activity. It is available in oral, rectal and intravenous dosage form. The most common
route of administration is the oral route as paracetamol is being absorbed well through this route
with the bioavailability of 63 89%. [5] The absorption half life through oral route is 4.5 minutes
with no lag time. [6] The rectal form of paracetamol is mainly intended to be used in children as
they have difficulty in swallowing oral medication. The bioavailability of paracetamol
administered through rectal route is in the range of 24 98%, depending on the suppositories
physical composition with 35 minutes of mean absorption half life and 40 minutes of lag time. The
rectal absorption of paracetamol is poor compared to oral route. [7] Studies showed that there is a

Free Tutoring Is A Great Thing For The End Of The Day Essay
Introduction
A lot of parents would love to get their child the help they need for school, or extra help to get
ahead if needed. Today there are a lot of tutoring programs out here, but all of them are not free.
So, where does that leave the children and the parents who cannot afford these programs? It can
leave that child at a lost because that child is not getting that extra help to become successful. Free
tutoring is a great thing for several reasons. At the HOPE Academy they offer free tutoring for
students who may cannot afford tutoring and are behind in their class. HOPE academy is making
a differences in their kid s lives because it is not just tutoring at the end of the day.
Social issues/challenges
There are several social issues that pertains to my service learning, but the main issue I would say
is getting the students the extra help that they need. Most of the students live in poverty or not the
best of areas and getting access to the extra help for school are slim to none. Most of the students
who come into the tutoring program at HOPE are not on their reading grade level or math grade
level. This is nothing to come to be a shock because there are a lot of kids every year that fall
behind their grade level. It seems to be the ones that do not live the best of areas.
This is a serious issue because once a child is behind especially at a young age it can be very
difficult to catch back up. Unfortunately, that child may never catch up to grade level if he or she

Leadership Behavior In Lao Tzu
Introduction Lao Tzu, the Father of Taoism, lived a large part of his life searching for an
individual s path of natural goodness. He is known for numerous inspirational quotes, such as Be
the Chief, but never the lord. This has been a source of encouragement throughout my Coast
Guard career. The title of lord is inherited or assigned as a positional power granted by
landowners. The Chief is chosen by the people to make the right decisions for their advantage. It is
an earned position of trust. Based on my interpretation of Lao Tzu s quote, my definition of
leadershipis to have others follow by choice not by mere power. A person cannot rule by force
granted to them by rank and expect subordinates to follow blindly. They must demonstrate leading
by example and be a role model for others to admire.
Leadership Influences As I reflect back, I recognize my definition of leadership in my mentors and
supervisors. A short list of the mentors I revered include: CWO4 Kenneth Hawko, MSTCM Judd
Reno, Commander John Humpage, Rear Admiral Joanna Nunan, and BMC Mike Hunt. Their
leadership naturally flowed from their personalities. I viewed these men and woman as my leaders

Twelve Angry Men Plot Essay
Plot: Twelve Angry Men is an interesting and exciting jury room confrontation in which an
quot;open and shut case quot; becomes strenuous as twelve strangers scuffle for answers. The trial
involves a nineteen year old boy, who is suspect of killing his father in a late night altercation with
an extraordinary knife. His fate now lies in the hands of 12 jurors, each with his own determination
to solve the case and reveal the truth. As the session takes its course, evidencebecomes scrutinised,
tempers rise, and the juryroom erupts in a shouting brawl because one such juror finds reasonable

Methods of Persuasion: The methods of persuasion used in the jury session consisted of Davis s

a real fight to the end, because Davis could have easily given up. He begins by saying that he

Edward had defeated Montfort s forces in the battle, this he thought. And he made a huge
mistake of following his enemies after they fled, because when he came back the rest of his

Edward managed to escape his enemy and joined the Earl of Gloucester, who had just become
Henry III s ally. He later took over Worcester and Gloucester, and Montfort had moved east to
join his son Simon. Edward had a surprise attack at Kenilworth Castle, right before he cut off
Montfort. The opposite side met him and they fought at the battle of Evesham on the August 4,
1265. Well in the end Montfort was killed and defeated, his body was buried secretly near
Evesham Abbey, while his head was sent over to Wigmore Castle. Later in December, Edward

After Watching the Documentary Food Inc.
Watching the documentary Food Inc, there were a few points that stood out most to me. I think one
of the most important concerns that were brought up is the consumers not knowing the truth behind
the food. Whether there is actual harm in our food or not, we still need to know what is going into
our food. The harm that may actually be inside our food can be caused by how easy it is to
produce crap food now days. Making mass produced food is a lot easier than it has been in the
past because genetics have changed animals into growing faster and fatter. This causes harm to the
environment by creating factories for these foods to be made, which causes pollution by emitting
many CO2 gasses. However this isn t a concern for the producer. The producer is mainly focused
on money they receive even if it causes harm to the environment or the consumers. The use of
pesticides and other substances are used in foods, whether it s in the production of corn growing or
in the food in general to help keep germs out. This also causes harm to the consumer and
environment that we should be aware of.
Throughout the film Food Inc, I noticed there were quite a few subtitles stating ... declined to
interview for this film. This made me ask myself to why they chose not to interview for this
documentary. This goes along the lines of point number one. All of the companies which preferred
not to interview for this film are hiding information from the consumers, information that would

each other continuously. This leads them to unexpected fights and deaths, causing things to not
go as planned.Ponyboy is caring because he is thoughtful, trustworthy, and brave. Ponyboy is
caring because he is thoughtful. Towards the end of the story Ponyboy went to see Johnny
while he was in the hospital. I think that Pony taking his time to visit Johnny while the brawl
was about to happen showed Pony s thoughtfulness. It is clear to see that Ponyboy cares about
other people more than himself. He went to go visit Johnny in the hospital taking up his own
time, Pony is being thoughtful. Maybe Johnny wanted someone to come visit because he felt
lonely. Next, Pony showed his thoughtfulness when he risked his life to save the kids in the fire.
On page 91 paragraph 8 Ponyboy said, I ll get them don t worry I started for a dead charge for the

Red Ryder Nails The Hammond Kid
For a screenplay writer, it can sometimes be hard to adapt a character in a way that stays true to
the character s original persona in the story. A character may not be fully developed in a story, or
they may be too much for a screenplay writer to undertake. They have to find the perfect balance of
motivation for the character that will appeal to the audience the most, yet still stay true to the
author s original character. Through the development of main character motivation, screenplay
writers are able to reveal more telling details and subtexts than a reader can grasp in a short story.
When analyzing an adaptation, it would take months to comb over every fine detail, but looking
into the motivation of the main character would allow one to better understand the short story and
the film. After reading Red Ryder Nails the Hammond Kid , a short story by Jean Shepherd, one

Pillbug Research Paper
Introduction Armadillidium vulgare commonly known as pillbug is an isopod, a type of non
insect arthropod also known terrestrial crustacean. (Pillbug Armadillidium Vulgare). The pillbugs
roll into a pill form when threatened hence the name pillbug. Pillbugs are active during night but
can be found during the day in the soil or under debris or between rocks. Pillbugs can reach a
length of up to 18 mm when matured (Capinera, 2001). In this experiment, I investigated whether
pillbugs are attracted towards a specific or different food types? I think this is a significant
question because knowing what type of food pillbugs consume is very helpful in studying the
characteristics and nature of pillbugs. What lead me in asking this question is that I was studying
the nature of pillbugs and found that pillbugs feed on decomposing materials, and I thought what if
decomposing materials were removed, what food the pillbugs would consume. To find this out, I
set up behavior observation chamber (BOC) with 3 different foods; carrot, kale and tuna. I was

of pillbugs were attracted towards the chamber with the kale in it when compared to the other
chambers. My hypothesis that the greater no. of pillbugs will end in the tuna chamber was
rejected based on findings. One observation that I noticed was, the pillbugs were interested in kale
because it gave them a surface to hide under. Once the pillbugs were in the kale chamber, they
directly went under the kale and stayed there. One thing I could ve done better with the experiment
was break the kale into smaller bits so that the pillbugs had no chance of hiding underneath it.
Another factor to consider was, the amount of light that was present during the experiment,
pillbugs are nocturnal, which means that they are active night. If this experiment were to be
retested, I would strongly suggest to use the same size bits of food and for the test to be done at
night or a much darker

The Importance Of My Day
I start my day by walking in door number 2, walking through the lengthy Jr. High hallway, and
entering the cafeteria. When I get into the cafeteria, I usually see my buddy, Sami. After a few
minutes, my other pals, Bridget and Libby come, closely followed by Addie. The bell rings at
precisely 8:05 and there is a mad rush as the Jr. High students rush to their lockers. Everybody
starts hurriedly putting their belongings in their lockers to make it to their 1st period classes on
time. My first period is Language Arts. When I get to Mrs. Harrison s class I set my possessions
down on my desk, which is the first one next to the side white board. I then go talk with my
friends for the next 3 5 minutes. By this time, my other friend, Sophie, is there as well. She
arrives at school later than the rest of us because her brother drives her and refuses to get to
school any earlier than necessary. Usually around 8:14 and 30 seconds, I rush to my seat to be
their on time. You can hear the chime of the intercom coming on, and we all stand to say the
Pledge of Allegiance. The announcements continue with; events for the day, what is for lunch,
birthdays, and a joke of the day. As the intercom clangs off, Mrs. Harrison comes to the front of
the room to begin class. Depending on what we are doing, we might check an assignment from a

The World s Greatest Success Story
Samsung is perhaps the world s greatest success story. Started in 1938 in Taegu, Korea by Lee
Byung Chul, Samsung has sprouted from a small company under Japanese rule, into the one of the
world s leaders in technology and innovation. It is a result of the Confucian principles embraced by
the company and its presidents and executive decisions and eagerness to adapt to the rapidly
changing world. Principles including leading honorably and with strength, emphasising the ruler
subject relationship, Chun tzu, making personal relationships a priority in a business setting, in
addition to keeping accordance with Jen,a warm heartedness and compassion that allows to one to
want to better humanity (Lander). In addition to Confucianism, Samsung has learned to innovate,
create demand, and learn from other companies successes and failures. With this combination of
old world Confucian principles and the ability to diversify and evolve, Samsung has experienced
intense growth and success, beating out Apple and Panasonic and gaining a foothold in the digital
age(Park and Barjot). According to Park and Barjot, Samsung s success came from two areas:
Confucian ethics instilled into Samsung s workforce and strong executive leadership, specifically
LeeByung Chul and to a lesser degree Kun Hee Lee. Lee Byung Chul, the founder of Samsung,
came from an upper class family of landlord and due to this, Lee was able to receive a strong

The Secret Of Conspiracy Theory
However, Fenster fails to show the nature of politics in relation to culture that leads conspiracy
theories to arise in every historical event. This is due to his frustrating use of too much historical
detail on conspiracy theories in relation to culture (mass media and fictional writing). In contrast to
Fenster examination of conspiracy theory, Knight would critics his book, because of his excess
use of data on conspiracy. As Knight argues attempt to understand conspiracy from gold standard
of rationality views paranoid style of thinking. Melly s The Covert Sphere varies from the
authors discussed above in the method of study, as it studies the system that forced the creation
of conspiracy. Melly attempts to use this method on his first monograph but failed to show
system from broader perception. Marcus explains this in his book as a critical method in field of
conspiracy theory. Melly sweeps through Cold War era up to War on Terror post 9/11 in order to
reinterpret it in relation to the paradoxical epistemology. Melly asserts that the rise of National
intelligence caused major stimulus of postmodern epistemological skepticism. Melly demonstrates
this point by continuing on historians investigation and discussion of specific events and
presidential speeches to an analysis of broad trend that in his view reflected the emergence of
cultural conspiracy based on power of covert sphere. As he argues of his book, postmodern era has

Comparing Plato s Phaedrus, And Cicero
What is philosophy? It is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence.
Two men that spent their lives learning and then teaching philosophy were Plato and Cicero. In
this essay, I will look at Plato s, Phaedrus, and Cicero s, Selected Works, to show each of their
philosophies. The Phaedrus is a historical dialogue between the two characters, Socratesand
Phaedrus, about love. In this dialogue three distinctive speeches were given. The first speech
was a speech presented by Phaedrus; the original speaker was a man named Lysias. He claimed
that a man in love suffers from a kind of madness and you should not give yourself to one who is
in love. The second and third speeches were spoken by Socrates as a sort of challenge given to
him by Phaedrus. Phaedrus believed that Lysias speech was the best he d ever heard and that no
man could recite a better argument. Socrates took the challenge and spoke... Show more content on

Love is a feeling of closeness to some people and to others it s a feeling of being there for a lover.
For some, true love is where you would be willing to put your life on the line for another.
Socrates describes love as an irrational desire that over comes the tendency toward right
(Phaedrus, 238 B) . Love usually just hits you and there is no one reason as to why you love that
person. It doesn t exist without all the little day to day stuff. You could probably say that love
just doesn t come over night. Socrates goes off of Lysias argument by saying, There s no truth to
that story that when a lover is available you should give your favors to a man who doesn t love
you instead, because he is in control of himself while the lover has lost his head. That would
have been fine to say if madness were bad, pure and simple; but in fact the best things we have
come from madness, when it is given as a gift of the god (Phaedrus, 244A) . Socrates then goes on
to explain what madness

Geologists have said that the deep granites are the roots of the mountains that were once here
more than two billion years ago (Belmont Mound State Park Geology). The sandstones and
limestones, that the mound is composed of, was originally deposited on top of the granite as the
sea bottom of the sea that once covered a major part southern Wisconsin (Belmont Mound State
Park Geology). Since Belmond Mound is in the Driftless area, the erosion patterns that carved
southwestern Wisconsin are what created the mound. Over the 400 million year erosion cycle,
streams removed the sandstone limestone, and dolomite from the southern part of Wisconsin
(Belmont Mound State Park Geology). The remains of these minerals in this region exist only as
tiny remnants on the tops of the Blue, Platte, Belmont and Sinsinawa mounds. If these mounds
were not capped by the Niagara dolomite in the area, they would have been cut down to the level
of the lands surrounding them (Belmont Mound State Park Geology). The Belmont Mound is an
example of the southern mesic and dry mesic forests in Wisconsin. The east central part of the
woods is more mesic with sugar maple being the dominant species while larger red oak, basswood,
and white ash dominate the remainder, with some black walnut mixed in (Belmont Mound Woods
No. 167). The areas of the mound that were the focus of the study were the Southern (day one) and

The Speech By Tony Porter
In class we were shown a recording of the speech, A call to men . The first thing I noticed was the

The Canada s Aging Population
The Canada s aging population, those 55 years and older, stands at 30.8% of the Canada s total.
This segment of Canada s population is growing due to demographic factors such as births and

Legacy System Essay
Introduction
The term legacy system has distinct meanings for different individuals. For numerous people, it
describes archaic mainframe or dumb terminal software programs from the 1970s and 1980s
(Weber, 2006). To other individuals, it may infer the client/server applications from the 1990s or
web applications from the late 1990s (Weber, 2006). The chief point is that each one of these
distinct architectures presents different risks that must be thoroughly understood and properly

English. It was the birth of America as a whole, but it also was the beginnings of two distinct ways
of life. The colonies were founded on Independence, but from the start there were two completely
different ideas of what that Independence was and what it would mean over time.
This paper will examine the two conceptions of Independence to the Virginian and to the New

How often have you heard the chant I L L I N I? Here on the campus I hear this chant a lot in
support of school sprit. This chant is widely used throughout the university at most sporting events
and I have personally heard the chant at highly populated social gatherings. This university
renowned chant when implemented at the sports aspect is a great crowd pleaser and I am pretty
sure it hypes up our home team to a certain extent. I ve recently attended the Men s basketball home
game against Wisconsin on March 2nd, 2013 to witness this chant first hand but primarily I
attended the game in regards to evaluating the event from a consultant s perspective.

deal, which consisted of four C level tickets for 50 dollars because of the 50th anniversary of
assembly hall. Once entering the building you have more ticketing attendants who rip off stubs on
both the main level and upper level of the arena.
Three different levels classify the seating in the Assembly hall. The first level is floor seating,
the second level seating is about the first 30 rows, and while the last and last highest level are
rows 40 going back towards the top of the structure. I think that the idea behind the seating
structure was to create the most possible seats for fans. There are over 16,000 seats at Assembly

The usher directed me towards my seat without me asking which were only a few rows before

She stated that she had been working at Assembly hall for years and really enjoys helping people.

Return Of The Jedi Analysis
Return of the Jedi was by far my favorite film out of all 6 movies. I found that watching them
backwards wasn t so bad at the end of Return of the Jedi because, it helped me connect all the
dots together. I must say that my favorite part would have to be when Luke finally tells Leia
about their connection. I was fascinated by her instant response of I know, somehow, I ve always
known because, I believe in the cognitive connection between siblings. While reading Bethke s
assessment I instantly connected to his statement of He gave us a stout hearted lad who was loyal
to his friends and uncompromising to his enemies; who, when faced with the choice between good
and evil, chose good; and who, in the final scene did not utter a pithy epigram as he... Show more

Instead of making the division between good and evil so concrete he allowed Luke to
demonstrate that it was possible for the good to become evil and evil to become good. While
although Obi Wan was correct in saying Vader was more machine than man, Lucas still
demonstrated that Luke was his own character within the Jedi s and truly believe in his
cognitive feelings towards his father. I find this scenario to be relatable on a lot of different
levels. First, emotions toward family members can always be difficult when there is division and
broken connections. Second, as humans we want to believe that there is always a solid cognitive
connection between family members just as we have seen between Leia and Luke. We see the
negative side to this argument between Luke and Vader because in the end Vader is too far gone.
Third, we can relate to the disappointment but strength it can provide within a family when
someone is lost. We can see this between Luke and Leia after their father was burned and
destroyed. I find that these 3 areas are a part of the movies greatest strengths because we can truly
learn about family and the dysfunction that can be

History Of Ostrich Farms Have Become An Extended Activity...
Introduction
Ostriches are one of the toughest and strongest birds on this planet. They can live in all kinds of
climates and easily adjust to them, whether they are tropical countries or northern ones. The ostrich
industry is considered as a multi processing business producing a number of commodities as
feathers, leather and meat (PITTAWAY et al., 2015). Ostrichfarms have become an extended
activity throughout the world and considered to be one of the most preferable agriculture project.
Ostrich meat is a wonderful , healthy red meat with all of the flavor and texture of beef ; it is rich
in protein and high in iron and lower in fat, calories and cholesterol than other meat sources . On
the other hand, ostrich feathers are used to clean fine machinery and equipment as well as for
aesthetics and in the fashion industry, furthermore tendons of ostrich leg are used to replace torn
tendons in human leg and a substance derived from ostrich brain is being studied for the treatment
of Alzheimer s disease and other types of dementia (SHANAWANY, 1994).
Ostriches live mostly in desolate desert climates, so they have to be flexible in their diet and eat
almost anythings like plants, lizards, seeds, locusts and stones, these make them susceptible to
many infections including parasitic ones. The later seem to be uncommon in ostrich all over the
world ( DINGLE, 1996 ; HUCHZERMEYER, 1998) inspite of some of these infections may lead to
the death of infected birds (NEL, 1980).

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner A baby was just born at 26 weeks gestation. Just over half the
normal 40 weeks a baby should stay inside the mother. The baby is immediately whisked away
and taken to be evaluated and prepared for a long journey ahead. Ever since I could remember
babies and the nursery at the hospital have fascinated me. Whenever we would go visit a friend
who had a baby, I would find myself peaking over the windows into the nursery. I have known for
a while that working in the neonatal intensive care unit is what I want to pursue. Recently I have
been looking into nurse practitioners and furthering my education beyond my BSN. Being able
to care for these infants in the most critical stages of their life, and being able to provide them
the support they need to survive outside the womb seems so satisfying . Neonatal nurse
practitioners have years of education, deep history, detailed job description, high demands and
some legal issues. Basic Information Education Requirements A n eonatal nurse practitioner is a
nurse practitioner that specializes in caring for neonates. Nurse practitioners are in the broad
category of advanced practice registered nurses, or APRN s. In order to become a neonatal nurse
practitioner, one must first be a licensed registered nurse and have a BSN. Many programs also
require nurses to have two years of clinical experience before starting the program to become a

Relationship Between Board Size And Firm Performance
.4 Discussion of Results
The results found in this study suggest that some of the relationships found during the literature
review can be confirmed. For example, the literature states that smaller boards of directors reduce
the coordination problems that lead to improved firm performance relative to larger boards of
directors (Kini et al, 1995; Yermack, 1996; Eisenberg et al, 1998). This study found significant
empirical evidence with the sample of FTSE 100 companies that this is the case which supports
these findings. It should be noted, that Haleblian and Finkelstein (1993) suggested sensibly that
boards of directors that are too small can also be hampered in their ability to monitor management
particularly in complex firms such as those ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This study instead found, in some cases when Tobin s q was used as the measure of firm
performance, that there could be a significant negative relationship between the proportion of
external directors and firm performance. No such relationship was found when ROA used as the
measure of firm performance. These results indicate that the significant relationship found might be
spurious.
Also, the review of the literature found evidence that there should be a positive relationship
between shareholder concentration in the hands of significant minority shareholders but no such
relationship was found in the sample of FTSE 100 companies used in this study. Even after this
study attempted to correct for some data problems by removing those companies within the dataset
where the shareholding was concentrated in the hands of significant majority shareholders and their
related parties, there was no statistically significant relationship between shareholder concentration
and firm performance.
There are several possible explanations for the lack of strong relationships in this study. The first
concerns the choice of variables to be used as proxies for measuring firm performance. This study
chose to use the return on assets and Tobin s q and found that the results differed significantly
depending on the choice

PART ONE What were the circumstances surrounding your servant evangelism encounters.
For example, where were you/what were you doing/what was going on when you began your
conversation with the unbeliever? Or, how did you begin the conversation?
PART TWO What was the reaction (questions/comments/statements) of the unbeliever?
For example, was he/she hostile, penitent, curious, confused, etc? Explain, offer examples,
paraphrased quotes, etc...If there was no reaction, what is your understanding of the encounter.
Was it easy? Was it difficult? Did other people around you show interest in what you did? Would

Example questions:
Is this type of evangelism more or less to your liking?
Would you recommend it to other believers or churches?

Character Development In Frances Goodrich s Diary Of Anne...
Throughout stories a lesson of some kind is taught and characters develop and grow. Diary of Anne
Frank takes place during the Holocaust in Amsterdam. Since Anne and her family are Jewish they
are hiding from the Nazis along with another family. Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett wrote the
play based off of the diary that Anne kept while they were in hiding. While they are hiding Anne
grows and changes. Anne Frank changes throughout the play because she matures and thinks about
the world differently.
Anne is childish in many ways at the beginning of the play. When they first start living together
Anne often listens to Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan when they argue. Anne commented, I have never seen
grownups quarrel before. I thought only children ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She told Peter what she thinks about the situation they are in and everything that s happening
and it s unbelievably sophisticated. Anne deliberates, If you d only look at it a part of a great
pattern... that we re just a little minute, (431). She has grown up so much that she is able to look
at all the horrible things being done and say that in the end, none of it matters. Her loved ones
and her are inevitably going to be killed or are already being killed. She disregards it as being
something that won t be important in a hundred or so years. Most kids her age would never
think that their lives don t matter because they think the world revolves around them and she is
incredibly mature to think the opposite of that. In another part of the play while Anne and her
family are being taken away to be killed by the Nazis, Anne writes in her diary, In spite of
everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart, (434). For someone who is so
young and who has been through what she has and still think that people really are good is
amazing. Adults look back at the Holocaust and thought Hitler and the Nazis were awful people yet
Anne lived through it and still believes that they really are good people. That is an amazing and
beyond incredibly mature thing to think. Anne has become so much more mature by the end of the

Come and See, directed by Elem Klimov
Those that engage in the activity of war can be noted as mad and insane, but some individuals
may also be considered brave souls, and that all depends on the select few that dare to go
through with the entire process of being involved in such a feat. The forces in the war who only
murder to get a rise out of and who continually toy with the on lookers can be portrayed as mad
and insane, while those who decide to join the noble partisans, despite perhaps even being
drafted, to play their part in war were considered to be brave young soldiers. This was exactly the
case in Russian director Elem Klimov s 1985 film Come and See. The main character, Florian, a
boy of fourteen years, is dragged into a war by the force of the Belorussian... Show more content on

The only thing that results from the act of war is endless violence and death, and that in itself
does not seem very kind to the average being, despite having to deal with it, and accepting the fact
that actions such as that would happen in society no matter what is a difficult task that not only the
average being, but also the everyday pacifist and everyone alike, no matter what the circumstance
or situation, all should know of the truth that goes on in the world, no matter how much it hurts,
because it must learn to be accepted by each and every individual sooner or later.
The ironic style of Crane s writing is an element that needs to be given closer and further
inspection and examination until one finally reads between the lines and sees what Crane is trying
to state. His last line of the second stanza of War is Kind , which is refrained a second time at the
end of the fourth stanza,
A field where a thousand corpses lie (Crane 11, 22) can reflect back to Come and See, with both
the bodies in the back of Florian s house and the villagers that were burned to death in the barn.
The way the brave army soldiers and noble partisans are portrayed in Come and See shows them
as serious individuals that would do anything to win what could be considered the most important
war of their entire lives, let alone, just a simple fight. They are portrayed as warriors that will
continue to strike until the bouts

Romanticism In Oliver Twist
Introduction:
In mid 19th century England, realistic literature came as a response to the preceding romantic
period. The romantic period was known to emphasize the experiences of the individual and was
regarded as a highly aesthetic period. It was related with the movement of sensibility or
sentimentalism, which stressed the importance of emotions and feelings of sympathy (Kitson 328
329). Contrarily, realism during the Victorian age aimed to address economic and social issues in
society by depicting the struggles in the developing society as accurately as possible (Redd).
Consequently, in the 1830s, when Charles Dickens was writing Oliver Twist, it is justifiable that
elements of both realism and sentimentalism can be found in the novel. This ... Show more content

Most notably, Dickens depiction of London (in particular the workhouses and other social
institutions) and his criminal characters have a very prominent realistic effect. However before
going into detail about the realistic setting and characters, it would be beneficial to take a look
at Dickens preface for Oliver Twist. In his preface for Oliver Twist, Dickens justifies his reasons
for writing about the criminals of London; he had the impression that real thieves and
pickpockets were not portrayed correctly in literature during that time. For that reason, he felt
that it was necessary to show these crooks as they really were, for ever skulking uneasily through
the dirtiest paths of life (7). He also believed that doing this would be a service to society , and
that he did it as best as [he] could . He explains that he won t be writing about appealing and
pleasant situations; ...no merry makings in the snuggest of all possibly caverns, none of the
attractions of dress, no embroidery, no lace... (8). In essence, this preface foreshadows the
realistic elements in the novel by telling the readers where to look. Clearly the characters and
setting will be portrayed as honestly and truthfully as possible, without overlooking even one
hole in the Dodger s coat, or one scrap of curl paper in Nancy s dishevelled hair (9) and describing
the cold wet shelterless midnight streets of London; the foul and frowsy dens, where vice is
closely packed and lacks the room to turn [...]

Alternative Dispute Resolution Processes
Contrary to that, some observers have argued that it is not at all clear that informal processes
like ADR may be a disadvantage to minority groups any more than formal processes like
settlement . Formality may influence people to be on the right side of the law and play by the
book, it risks imposing its own obstacles to justice . The concept of justice is essential to ADR
processes. In the framework of ADR, the concept of justice involves the consent of the parties to
play an active role in the resolution of their disputes; to assert some degree of control over the
aftermath of their disputes and to arrive at a satisfactory, if not excellent settlements of their
disputes, with regards to their interest. 3.3 Principles and Mechanisms of ADR 3.3.1 General
Principle Currently there is no particular ADR philosophy that can acknowledge that one
specific approach can best suit the true spirit of ADR . Nevertheless, by taking a look at the
main aim of ADR, one can establish whether there is one philosophy to ADR and to what extent
does it go to. Some of the main aims of ADR are; the principle of solving a problem collectively,
enabling of parties, avoiding delays and costs related to traditional litigation, conservation or
improvement of personal relationships; mainly business related and simplifying procedures. The
principle of solving a problem collectively is considered to be one of the main objectives of ADR
process, however it has been argued that some parties in

Bruce Tuckman s Stages Of Team Development
Grow your Team With Team Development Techniques
The team development model of:
Forming Storming Norming Performing was proposed in 1965 by American psychologist Bruce
Tuckman.
The Forming Storming Norming Performing model describes a set of stages in training that a group
must go through in order to be able to achieve maximum potential.
As the name implies, the Forming Storming Norming Performing model show the four ordered
stages a team must go through before they become like a well oiled machine.
Forming
The first stage of training, forming, is when the team is just getting to know each other. Each has
his or her own ideas, which are usually independent of the other. There is minimum cooperation and
integration of ideas. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This stage is when the concept of Forming Storming Norming Performing is introduced to the team.
Storming
This is the stage where the concepts of each member come together for the first time. This is where
members of the team experience their ideas being criticized, improved, and commented on by their
colleagues.
Storming not only refers to the concept of brainstorming , but also to the stormy stage of team
development.
Some immature members will not appreciate their ideas being criticized, and their behavior might
serve as a deterrent for the team to move on to the next stage of thier development.
It s up to the supervisor or team leader to decide how to deal with this kind of attitude.
Norming
Once the stormy phase is over the team reaches the stage where they start to work together
collectively. They re more familiar with each other s attitudes, work ethics, and tastes in terms of
ideas and work output.
What you should look out for in this phase, is the tendency for team members to completely lose
their individual tastes and ideas, and slowly become accustomed to agreeing with each other all the

Some people believed that this was the mythical land of Atlantis. They were located near the Aegean Sea and lands such as Greece, Troy and Asia Minor. One interesting fact is that these people never called themselves the Minoans. There wasn t any name listed in the history books for these people but the Ancient Crete Civilization. They were known as the Crete Civilization because they lived on the island of Crete which is now part of Greece. It wasn t until a 19th century British Archeologist, Sir Author Evans gave them the name, The Minoans. He gave them this name because he believed he had found the legendary palace of King Minos. There has been many civilization collapses over the World s history, but most can be explained in great detail. There are some that are very mysterious and not definitively explained. The collapse of the Minoan people happens to be one of those mysterious collapses which ranks 3rd in the top ten most mysterious collapses of the world and is still to this day debated on what actually caused their demise. • 12. Privatization of Russian Industries For some, the privatization of Russian industry has been one of the great success stories of Russia s painful economic transition: quick, firm and radical action was taken to shift the great bulk of Russian industry out of state hands, thereby laying the basis for a radical restructuring of enterprises and improvements in their performance. Others see privatization as a best a failure, at worst a catastrophe. Not surprisingly those opposed to the market and economic reform as a whole sharethis view. But many commentators who see themselves as supporters of reform find plenty in Russian privatization to criticize: the process led to the transfer of ownershipto inappropriate people and as a consequence no beneficial restructuring of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Collective ownership derives either from a natural alliance between managers and rank and file employees, probably based on Soviet traditions of paternalism and the В‘social contract , or from the need of managers to pander to workers who control a majority of voting rights at shareholder meetings. Although some observers might find a collective ownership outcome desirable, on the grounds that it provides for workplace democracy and high incentive work habits, reform oriented commentators generally find it a form of ownership likely to lead to the maintenance of excessively high levels of underemployed staff and an over concentration on consumption at the expense of investment. The management ownership outcome derives from the ability of management to totally dominate divided, demoralized or indifferent rank and file employees. The argument that they do so by bribing employees with promises of secure employment and the maintenance of social welfare provisions is essentially the same as that presented in the previous paragraph on collective ownership. However, there is an increasing awareness among commentators that any Soviet paternalism and coincidence of management worker interests that might have once existed have not survived the rigors of the transition and the self interest of managers. • 14. Fight Club American Dream Essay The capability of all Americans to achieve the American dream is what many believe to have made this country great. Perhaps this is why more immigrants flock to the United States than any other nation, because they view America as the land of opportunity , because here anyone can achieve the American dream. Generally, the American dream is the belief that anyone, even one at a low income level, can achieve success and make themselves content if they work hard enough and are determined. Unfortunately, when looking at certain aspects of society, it s apparent that nothing can be further from the truth. For example, a person can pursue and live the American dream and still be unhappy. Also, the lifestyle that one may live to pursue the American dream can be dehumanizing. Both of these examples are flaws in the American dream that can be seen in the film Fight Club. Furthermore, rising levels of income inequality and the crushing debtpeople face also shows flaws in the idea of the American dream. When analyzing the evidence, it s clear that in the modern United States, the American dream is non existent. An example of how the American dream is extinct is how one can live in the state of the typical American Dream and still live an unhappy life. An example of this would be in the movie Fight Club. In this movie the narrator is unhappy despite living the American Dream. He has a successful corporate job as an automobile recall specialist and owns a home. Despite his success the ... John still feels as though he can relate with his brother on a new level of trust and respect. But where was I? Who was I? How did I miss so much (Wideman 687)? John admits to himself here that the situation with Robby had gotten so out of hand for him and his family most of the time they chose to look away. He has blocked so many wrongful actions from his mind that Robby s confession made him realize all that he had been suppressing for years. John feels like a hypocrite because when the TV was stolen his father in law bought him and his wife a new one. With their homeowners insurance though they were refunded 100 dollars. (However note just because a person looks a certain way does not always mean they are unhealthy or healthy) Therefore measurements must be as accurate as possible. The hypothesis is that humans are more likely to come upon errors more likely than a machine, especially if measurements are taken by different people. Methods... • 19. Effects of Surfactants on Suppository Absorption Essay... Suppositories are the frequently used dosage forms prescribed through rectal route. However, suppositories have the limitation of prolonged onset of action which can be attributed to poor drug release properties of suppository base. Surfactants can increase the drug release to aid absorption by reducing the interfacial tension between rectal fluids and the suppositorybase. The objective of this study was to examine the effect of different concentrations of sodium lauryl sulphate and tween 80 on the drug release of paracetamol from suppositories of palm kernel base (HAMINВ®). Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and tween 80 were used in this study to examine their effect on the drug release from paracetamol suppositories prepared using HAMINВ® base... Drugs are incorporated into suitable suppository bases which may be fatty base or water soluble base to form suppositories into suitable shape to be inserted into the rectum. [3] In the rectum, the suppositories release their drug content by melting at body temperature or dissolving in rectal mucous secretion to be diffused across the rectal epithelium into the mucosa that is abundantly vascularised. [4] The drug can be absorbed through the middle and inferior rectal veins into systemic circulation by passing the hepatic first pass metabolism, which gives the rectal route of administration an extra advantage. Paracetamol is a well known drug for its analgesic and antipyretic activity. It is available in oral, rectal and intravenous dosage form. The most common route of administration is the oral route as paracetamol is being absorbed well through this route with the bioavailability of 63 89%. [5] The absorption half life through oral route is 4.5 minutes with no lag time. [6] The rectal form of paracetamol is mainly intended to be used in children as they have difficulty in swallowing oral medication. The bioavailability of paracetamol administered through rectal route is in the range of 24 98%, depending on the suppositories physical composition with 35 minutes of mean absorption half life and 40 minutes of lag time. The rectal absorption of paracetamol is poor compared to oral route. [7] Studies showed that there is a significant longer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. Free Tutoring Is A Great Thing For The End Of The Day Essay Introduction A lot of parents would love to get their child the help they need for school, or extra help to get ahead if needed. Today there are a lot of tutoring programs out here, but all of them are not free. So, where does that leave the children and the parents who cannot afford these programs? It can leave that child at a lost because that child is not getting that extra help to become successful. Free tutoring is a great thing for several reasons. At the HOPE Academy they offer free tutoring for students who may cannot afford tutoring and are behind in their class. HOPE academy is making a differences in their kid s lives because it is not just tutoring at the end of the day. Social issues/challenges There are several social issues that pertains to my service learning, but the main issue I would say is getting the students the extra help that they need. Most of the students live in poverty or not the best of areas and getting access to the extra help for school are slim to none. Most of the students who come into the tutoring program at HOPE are not on their reading grade level or math grade level. This is nothing to come to be a shock because there are a lot of kids every year that fall behind their grade level. It seems to be the ones that do not live the best of areas. He is known for numerous inspirational quotes, such as Be the Chief, but never the lord. This has been a source of encouragement throughout my Coast Guard career. The title of lord is inherited or assigned as a positional power granted by landowners. The Chief is chosen by the people to make the right decisions for their advantage. It is an earned position of trust. Based on my interpretation of Lao Tzu s quote, my definition of leadershipis to have others follow by choice not by mere power. A person cannot rule by force granted to them by rank and expect subordinates to follow blindly. They must demonstrate leading by example and be a role model for others to admire. Leadership Influences As I reflect back, I recognize my definition of leadership in my mentors and supervisors. A short list of the mentors I revered include: CWO4 Kenneth Hawko, MSTCM Judd Reno, Commander John Humpage, Rear Admiral Joanna Nunan, and BMC Mike Hunt. • 27. After Watching the Documentary Food Inc. Watching the documentary Food Inc, there were a few points that stood out most to me. I think one of the most important concerns that were brought up is the consumers not knowing the truth behind the food. Whether there is actual harm in our food or not, we still need to know what is going into our food. The harm that may actually be inside our food can be caused by how easy it is to produce crap food now days. Making mass produced food is a lot easier than it has been in the past because genetics have changed animals into growing faster and fatter. This causes harm to the environment by creating factories for these foods to be made, which causes pollution by emitting many CO2 gasses. However this isn t a concern for the producer. The producer is mainly focused on money they receive even if it causes harm to the environment or the consumers. The use of pesticides and other substances are used in foods, whether it s in the production of corn growing or in the food in general to help keep germs out. This also causes harm to the consumer and environment that we should be aware of. Throughout the film Food Inc, I noticed there were quite a few subtitles stating ... declined to interview for this film. This made me ask myself to why they chose not to interview for this documentary. This goes along the lines of point number one. A character may not be fully developed in a story, or they may be too much for a screenplay writer to undertake. They have to find the perfect balance of motivation for the character that will appeal to the audience the most, yet still stay true to the author s original character. Through the development of main character motivation, screenplay writers are able to reveal more telling details and subtexts than a reader can grasp in a short story. When analyzing an adaptation, it would take months to comb over every fine detail, but looking into the motivation of the main character would allow one to better understand the short story and the film. Pillbugs are active during night but can be found during the day in the soil or under debris or between rocks. Pillbugs can reach a length of up to 18 mm when matured (Capinera, 2001). In this experiment, I investigated whether pillbugs are attracted towards a specific or different food types? I think this is a significant question because knowing what type of food pillbugs consume is very helpful in studying the characteristics and nature of pillbugs. What lead me in asking this question is that I was studying the nature of pillbugs and found that pillbugs feed on decomposing materials, and I thought what if decomposing materials were removed, what food the pillbugs would consume. To other individuals, it may infer the client/server applications from the 1990s or web applications from the late 1990s (Weber, 2006). The chief point is that each one of these distinct architectures presents different risks that must be thoroughly understood and properly managed (Weber, 2006). The aim of this research is to assess security risks with legacy systems. OMH s legacy EMR application was developed with Microsoft Visual Basic version 6, which has been sunsetted by Microsoft. In house conversion of this application would be a colossal. To reduce this burden, OMH is leveraging the open source system used by the United States Veteran Administration (VA), VistA, and then customizing it for their needs (NYS Office of Mental Health, 2014). The result is an approach that should save millions versus starting from scratch or using a large scale commercial product that could cost in excess of one hundred million dollars (NYS Office of Mental Health, 2014). I find this scenario to be relatable on a lot of different levels. First, emotions toward family members can always be difficult when there is division and broken connections. Second, as humans we want to believe that there is always a solid cognitive connection between family members just as we have seen between Leia and Luke. We see the negative side to this argument between Luke and Vader because in the end Vader is too far gone. Third, we can relate to the disappointment but strength it can provide within a family when someone is lost. We can see this between Luke and Leia after their father was burned and destroyed. For example, the literature states that smaller boards of directors reduce the coordination problems that lead to improved firm performance relative to larger boards of directors (Kini et al, 1995; Yermack, 1996; Eisenberg et al, 1998). This study found significant empirical evidence with the sample of FTSE 100 companies that this is the case which supports these findings. Also, the review of the literature found evidence that there should be a positive relationship between shareholder concentration in the hands of significant minority shareholders but no such relationship was found in the sample of FTSE 100 companies used in this study. Even after this study attempted to correct for some data problems by removing those companies within the dataset where the shareholding was concentrated in the hands of significant majority shareholders and their related parties, there was no statistically significant relationship between shareholder concentration and firm performance. • 52. Romanticism In Oliver Twist Introduction: In mid 19th century England, realistic literature came as a response to the preceding romantic period. The romantic period was known to emphasize the experiences of the individual and was regarded as a highly aesthetic period. It was related with the movement of sensibility or sentimentalism, which stressed the importance of emotions and feelings of sympathy (Kitson 328 329). Contrarily, realism during the Victorian age aimed to address economic and social issues in society by depicting the struggles in the developing society as accurately as possible (Redd). However before going into detail about the realistic setting and characters, it would be beneficial to take a look at Dickens preface for Oliver Twist. In his preface for Oliver Twist, Dickens justifies his reasons for writing about the criminals of London; he had the impression that real thieves and pickpockets were not portrayed correctly in literature during that time. For that reason, he felt that it was necessary to show these crooks as they really were, for ever skulking uneasily through the dirtiest paths of life (7).
