The Importance Of Suspension In Education
The most frequently used discipline practice amongst schools in America, is out of school suspension
(Lee, Cornell, Gregory, Xitao, 2011). Suspension is used as a consequence to correct a student s
actions or behavior on school ground. Periodically, this is an effective approach depending on the
student s mindset about their education. Socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and the environment the
students are raised in also tends to play a role in the student s behavior. Based on where an adolescent
is raised can be a critical factor because of the impact it can have on their achievement in school. The
dropout rates for urban students tend to be higher than students living in rural areas. Suspension can
lead to negative academic outcomes for students individually.
According to Gregory Ripski (2008), high school teachers frequently refer students for discipline
problems. Students suspended from school are more likely to be retained, get suspended again, and
have low achievement. Majority of the referrals for defiance occur in the classroom. The study
addressed the gaps within the relation among trust in authority and cooperation between discipline
referred students and teachers. Researchers suggest that cooperative behavior is the key for well
functioning high school classrooms, in which youth trust their teachers and engage in their academic
success. This study conducted 40 minute semistructured interviews and surveys regarding students
behavior and disciplinary approaches

The Terror Of Terror And Violence
In July of 2014, ISIS blew up a Muslim shrine as an act of terror and violence. Again they attempted
to terrorize the local people of Iraq when they blew up another ancient mosque later the same month.
The ISIS terrorist group is an extremist Muslim organization that is capitalizing off the fear and
confusion of the Syrian Civil War. For the past five years, ISIS has waged war on the Syrian
government as well as any other group that does not conform to their extreme ways of life. Their
tactics for control are aggressive and extreme; public beheading, fear mongering, and destruction of
local historical and religious sites. The destruction of these sites is done in an iconoclastic manor; yet,
they also use the destruction to push their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
ISIS is known for their hatred of religious and ethnic groups that do not conform to their extreme
ways. Christian and the Sunni Muslims are the two main targets for the ISIS terror attacks. Their
attacks have no limits. In Beirut, a fifth century Roman Catholic monastery was destroyed by ISIS
while in Mosul the suspected tomb of Jonah the prophet was blown up (). Also in Mosul, a mosque
and shrine devoted to Prophet Jirjis was also blown up as an act of terror. It s clear that ISIS has no
specific target other than those that disagree with their platform and extreme views. They use the
destruction of images as an attempt to scare locals into subjecting to their laws. ISIS recognizes the
power that these images hold on people and they are trying to exploit that. Similarly, the government
of France and Russia used images and their powers to spread propaganda. While ISIS uses the images
of destruction and violence more so than Russia and France, the similarities can be seen in the effort to
control the common people. What makes this form of iconoclasm so different is that it deviates from
the normal iconoclasm that took place early in religious history. Early forms of iconoclasm destroyed
images because of the fear and power that they have and create. As Freedberg states, It [iconoclasm]
opens realms of power and fear that we may sense but cannot quite grasp. When the iconoclast

Speech On Pickled Eggs
If you ve never tasted a pickled egg you are missing out! For vinegar lovers, hard boiled egg lovers
and pub goers, pickled eggs are the perfect snack. Pickled eggs are hard boiled eggs that are preserved
in vinegar and seasonings for at least two days.
It was thought that the British brought pickled eggs to America, but others are certain that it was the
Germans. Whoever brought them, thank you! These sweet and sour eggs have become popular in
pubs, taverns and bars all over the world due to their harmonious pairing with beer.
Many early recipes came from the Pennsylvania Dutch, including several recipes for pickled beet eggs
where whole beets, onions, vinegar, sugar, salt, cloves, and a cinnamon stick are used as the brine.

Second Industrial Revolution Essay
An Industrial Revolution is the change in social and economic organization that resulted from the
replacement of the hand tools with machines and from the development of large scale industrial
production (Danzer R50). The Second Industrial Revolution happened nearly one hundred years later
after the First Industrial Revolution in England during the 1760s (Fagnilli 7). The Second Industrial
Revolution was the cause of new inventions, government support for business, common natural
resources, and increasing population (Fagnilli 7). The Industrial Revolution in the United States had

descent (Fagnilli 7). In the Union Pacific, factories workers were mostly Irish, African American, or
Civil War Veterans (Fagnilli 7). The Chinese workers that worked in the west made around thirty
dollars per month (Fagnilli 7). The average white worker would make around forty to sixty dollars per
month with meals includes (Fagnilli 7). The factory owners would discriminate against people by their
race. The conditions inside the factories were horrible, they called them sweatshops. A sweatshop is a
shop or factory in which employees work for long hours at low wages and under unhealthy conditions
(Merriam Webster). The poor work conditions and low wages in the workplace is what caused many
strikes throughout the nation, leading to union s. In the Second Industrial Revolution there was a great
deal of work being done but the workers had to go through poor work conditions to be able to have a

Real Estate Market Analysis
Ch.1. Real estate space and asset markets.
Space market ( the market for the usage of (or right to use) real property (land and built space); also
referred to as the real estate usage market or rental market. Demand side: individuals, households and
firms that want to use space for either consumption of production purposes. Supply side: real estate
owners who rent space to tenants. 1. Segmentation of space markets.
Both the demand and supply side are location and type specific. Therefore, real estate markets are

The southeast quadrant links the rate of construction to the total stock of built space available in the
usage market. The line relates the average rate of space construction per year to the total stock of
space that can be indefinitely maintained in the market.
On average over the long run, a certain amount of new construction per year is necessary just to
maintain a given stock of space available in the market.
The 4Q picture depicts a long run steady state equilibrium.
Property prices in the real estate asset markets, along with liquidity and volume of sales transactions in
that market, often appear to go through extended periods of rise and fall, related to the ups and downs
in the space market.
Chapter 6: Real Estate Market Analysis.
Objective:
The goal of market analysis is to characterize (both qualitative and quantitative) the supply and
demand of a specific space market.
6.1 General Features.
Practical market analysis needs to be simple and based upon realistic data so that it can be used
quickly and inexpensively. Also, this way it can be easily communicated and understood in business.
Thus, most analysis stems from direct and common sense procedures. There are different kinds of
analysis; whereas some market analysis focuses on specific micro level decisions, others focus on a
broader and more general characterization of a broader market. The first type focuses mainly on

Descriptive Essay On A Day At The Beach
Traveling the distance for a day of no school, work and responsibilities for a quick getaway, is the
medication to a happy lifestyle. So we set off a trip to a destination that is worry free. The long car
ride is spent singing to our favorite throwback songs and arguing about the dumbest of things, like
who ate the last slice of pizza the night before or maybe even who left the seat up last. All of which
are moments worth a chuckle. When we finally arrive at the wonderful place, the first breath of fresh
air is taken as the door to our white suburban is opened and we come into contact with the grounds of
Pismo Beach. With the help of the seven individuals that poured out of the cramped car; we start to
unpack the trunk with gadgets that are needed for the day to begin. Ice chests, sand buckets, shovels,
foldable chairs, towels and a radio, all come along with us in our journey for a day at the beach.
Immediately it is noticed that there is a drastic change in temperatures as it dropped a couple degrees
from how it felt back home. The breeze here fills my skin with goosebumps that the short hairs on my
arms stand up as it is too cold for normalcy. The wind also elevates the grainy sand to reach the height
of my head, and the particles become a part of my tangled brunette hair, where later it will almost
become impossible to get every single sand bit out of the barkish stands. Heading down to the
oceanside, we choose a section to set up. Towels are thrown on the surface of the beach. Sandwiches
are in the factory of Momma s kitchen being prepared for the hungry stomachs of my siblings and I.
After filling out human gas tanks, it s time to get a feel of the finest, Pismo Beach. Buckets are filled
with sand because it is time to build unstable castles and mansions that is a representation of our ideal
home when we grow up. My dad will think it s cool acting like the hulk, stomping around our
masterpiece and burning it down to the core, smooshing together the damp sand, with the only thing
left is the stamp of his size thirteen foot. And us. rolling in the sand laughing at the character he played
so carelessly. The scene he created, the laugh we felt in our stomachs, are all just part of why we love

Companies fitting a certain archetype have benefitted from greater financial success and have been
able to build more dominant global brands relative to brand with less defined, if not confused
archetypes.
The purpose of this exploration is to examine the origins of archetypes and their relevance in the
context of global branding. In doing so, the paper will present literature that supports the importance
of archetypes and imprints in consumers perceptions and global branding, as well as the benefits both
financially and competitively to companies that utilize them. By its conclusion the discussion attempts
to build an argument substantiating the importance of archetype consciousness in global branding in
order to gain a competitive advantage beyond product attributes or pricing and distribution strategies..
The Importance of Imprints to Branding
The author Graeme Newell in the article Marketing Without Words The Power of Emotional
Attachment to Branding discusses the importance of brands in creating an emotional attachment and
relationships with their consumers. By creating these relationships we make it easier for customers to
recognize and imprint the brands into their psyche: Most brands are easy to describe. Lexus is about
opulence. Harley is about rebellion. Krispy Kreme is about indulgence (Newell, 2011). These

Italian Immigration And New Immigration
From 1890 onward became a part of what is known as New Immigration, which became known as the
third and largest wave of immigration to America from Europe. This wave consisted of Slavs, Jews,
and Italians. Three million Italians, which was the largest new immigrants, immigrated to America.
These immigrants represented all regions of Italy most of them being from Southern Italy. Italian
immigrants were driven from their homelands for the many hardships they faced and hoped that
America would benefit to their cause only to find that they were faced with new struggles.
Many Italians were often referred to as birds of passage because they had only planned on staying in
the United States temporarily just until they could gain enough money to support their life back in
Italy. Poverty, overpopulation, politics, and natural disasters have had Italians packing but only
temporarily. Poverty was the main reason that Italians felt the need to leave. With northern Italians in
control of the government high taxes and protective tariffs on northern industries hurt southern
Italians. Along with that, roughly eighty percent of Italians lived off of agriculture. Many farming
tools were inefficient due to the lack of modern technology, which did not allow for improvement.
Farmers often lived in a one room house with no plumbing or even privacy which were harsh
conditions in comparison to others. These people were isolated being that there were no roads, making
it extremely hard to make

Buck V. Bell Case Study
Module 3 Activity: Buck v. Bell Since the time of the court s decision, what changes have been made
in the lives of individuals who are intellectually disabled? There have been widespread societal
changes in the way in which individuals with intellectual disabilities are treated since the court made
its decision in the 1920s. These changes lead to those with disabilities being able to participate in
more areas of normal life. This movement to remove barriers for people with disabilities is called
normalization (Hallahan, Kauffman, Pullen, 2015). Prior to the 1970 s, those with intellectual
disabilities were placed in institutions, but after this time there was an effort to keep people with
intellectual disabilities in their own communities. This change has both positive and negative
implications. While this brought people with intellectual disabilities back to their communities and
helped them integrate into a more normal way of life, many are now in jails or homeless. A second
piece of normalization that is particular to education is inclusion. This is the practice in which students
with exceptionalities are included in a general education classroom with their peers (Hallahan,
Kauffman, Pullen, 2015). This practice is also controversial, as there are a myriad of opinions

The Naked City Film Noir
During the era of film noir, which encompasses the time period of the early 1940s to the late 1950s,
featured numerous films that emphasized cynical attitudes and sexual motivations. However, Jules
Dassin s 1948 film, The Naked City, stood out amongst its competition. The film s style ignores the
usual expressiveness of noir characters, and replaces them with professional, dialed in detectives. In
comparison, another film noir movie, The Maltese Falcon, directed by John Hutson and released in
1941, casted a stereotypical noir protagonist Sam Spade (Humphrey Bogart), in the sense that Spade is
a tarnished hero who is not bound by the normal rules of morality. The Naked City was a truly unique

The cinematographer for the film, William Daniels, won an Oscar for The Naked City s revolutionary
cinematography. Daniels used new cameras with sharper lines, directional microphones, faster film,
and bright, portable lights that allowed for filming nearly anywhere. There was almost perfect editing,
which can be seen by the few continuity errors, which gives the viewer the impression that the action
unfolds with unparalleled consistency. According to IMDB, there are only three continuity errors that
occur throughout the film. The funniest one I thought was during the end pursuit, Garzah walks past
dark haired lady in a floral dress, pushing a baby in a stroller. As Donahue pursues Garzah in a
following scene, the same woman is walking without her baby carriage and her left hand bandaged. I
actually went back and watched this part of the movie. In addition, I think that the fact that the plot
was fairly straightforward, but progresses smoothly, it makes it entertaining. There were no complex
twists, allowing nearly audiences of all ages to follow what was going on. The most interesting parts
of the movie are when the police uncover facts and the sense that you are watching the murder scenes
unfold during the course of the film. Another aspect that may have caught the majority of the initial

While many individuals have made significant contributions to psychoanalysis and the field of
psychology, Sigmund Freud has consistently been referred to as the father of psychoanalysis.
Moreover, his contributions came at a time where mental health treatment was highly primitive and
clinicians lacked insight and awareness about mental health treatments. However, because Freud s
native language was German, some individuals would argue that the true essence of his theories, ideas,
treatments, and concepts were lost once his books, papers, etc. were translated into English and other

Education Deregulation
Deregulation of education in the United States aims to limit government presence within the education
system in order to achieve efficiency, equality, and equity throughout the entire nation. Education
policy is usually handled at a state and local level, raising the majority of the funds and regulating a
range of aspects including the length of a school day and how much funding each district will receive.
However, the national government still retains influence over the education system through funding,
filling in the gaps where state and local government cannot provide services, and intervening when
there is inequality. In order to go from the ongoing agenda to the governing agenda, the policy of
deregulation must be brought through a Congressional committee, specifically the Education and the
Workforce Committee, which concentrates on educational public policy and holds the power to bring
it to the Congressional attention.
The policy topic of deregulation in any sector proves to be controversial and highly debated,
especially in a sector as important as education. In regards to deregulation of education, this policy
aims to limit or loosen governmental presence over educational institutions. Specifically, deregulation
sets out to create a greater variety of choices for education in order to reach students of all
backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. An example of the variation of institutions needed are
charter schools, magnet schools, and vouchers, which are public

Tips for Good Print Design
Student Network Resources Inc. Some factors to consider for good print design are accurate use of
bleeds, edges, cropping, color, and elements of typography. Text should not be cut off or flowing over
into the folding of brochures or the next newsletter columns. Print layout and design elements must
meet in order to produce excellent advertising copy. Bleeding Bleeding occurs when a design element
such as print or an image extends further than the edge of the margins or page. Sometimes this can be
intended for effect, but is viewed as unprofessional if unintentional (Graphic Fetish, 2009). Cropping
Crop marks, cropping is an element used to trim off the unnecessary parts of a picture image, or page.
The crop marks are the cutting lines that are guides to setting areas being cut. Color Schemes Color
can draw or detract from a print design. Using complementary colors in print can give warmth and an
inviting feel to the print or it can bore the audience (Graphic Fetish, 2009). Understanding how to
properly use color is important in reaching an audience or highlighting the capture of an eventful
moment (Wildfire.com, 2012). Typography design refers to how the printed material is laid out. Is the
print copy effective in relaying the message to the audience or does it disrupt or interfere with the
message (Kyrnin, 2012). The lack of proper consideration of such factors will result in unattractive
spacing issues that show up when the design is flattened out or

The Jagged Edges of a Shattered American Dream in Death of...
The American dream is an ideal for all Americans to get the best out of life. It stands for an easy and
comfortable life, which makes you independent and your own boss. Historically, the American dream
meant a promise of freedom and opportunity, offering the chance of riches even to those who start
with nothing. This is something that Arthur Miller conveys in his play Death of a Salesman. Before
the Depression, an optimistic America offered the alluring promise of success and riches. Willy

Nevertheless, Willy has a waning career as a salesman and is an aging man who considers himself to
be a failure but is incapable of consciously admitting it. As a result, the drama of the play lays not so
much in its events, but in Willy s deluded perception and recollection of them. [1]
Miller uses many characters to contrast the difference between success and failure in the American
system. Willy Loman is a deluded salesman whose vivid imagination is far greater than his sales
ability. Linda, Willy s wife, honourably stands by her husband even in the absence of essential
realism. To some extent, she acknowledges Willy s aspirations but, naively, she also accepts them.
Consequently, Linda is not part of the solution but rather part of the problem with this dysfunctional
family and their inability to face reality. In restraining Willy from his quest for wealth in the Alaska,
the New Continent [2], ironically the only realm where the dream can be fulfilled, Linda destroys any
hope the family has of achieving greatness . Even so, Linda symbolically embodies the play s ultimate
value: love. In her innocent love of Willy, Linda accepts her husband s falsehood, his dream, but, in
her admiration of his dream, she is lethal. Linda encourages Willy and, in doing so, allows her sons,
Biff and Happy, to follow their father s misleading direction in life. [3]

looks at all levels of influence that need to be addressed to encourage healthy lifestyles. Addressing
obesity and other chronic disease begins with the individual. This involves assessing an individual s

Mucha
Alphonse Mucha, an adept designer from the Art Nouveau movement, heavily inspired my art piece
Just Breathe . Mucha is renowned for his captivating feminine style. His works from Art Nouveau
often had a central female figure encircled in intricate design. The surrounding design ranged from
nature to themes inspired from cultures such as Moravian folk art.
Similarly, my poster contains a leading woman placed in the center. She is enclosed in a circle of
blues, greens, and teals with a unique texture. A smoky design also escapes her mouth to resemble
breathing. Much like Mucha; flowers, a peacock feather, and the colors are influenced by the
movement he partook in. He also created hand drawn typography in his prints and paintings. I was
decided to try the same with the words: just breathe. Outside the circle and type, it is illuminated by a
light blue. That shade is also used to create a border around the whole ... Show more content on

I took the information I already knew and what I learned and incorporated bits into my own piece. I
then made a sketch on 11x14 bristol paper. After that, I created the lineart with micron pens. Microns
have pigment ink which made it helpful to color the woman and flowers with copic markers. The
circle was painted with watercolor while the texture was made with paper towels and a paintbrush.
Around the girl and the smoky design is a white outline. That was done with white gel pen.
Overall, my intention for this poster was to create a serene image that reminds the viewer to a take a
step back and breathe from any stress they are enduring. I was influenced by my own personal
experiences with Anxiety to create this. I easily get anxious and suffer from panic attacks. A lot of the
time, I forget to breathe because of this. With this work, I could picture it in a counselor or therapist s
office. Possibly in someone s own room to give them that

Insurance Liability And Liability Insurance
There are many lines of different property and casualty insurances. Even though the general purpose
and utilization of these insurances is the same across the nation, prices fluctuate from state to state. We
will get into more detail in regards to Errors and Omission Insurance (E O) in the State of California.
Errors and Omission Insurance, also called Professional Liability Insurance or Malpractice Insurance,
is used to cover legal expenses caused by potential errors and omissions during operations and
stipulation of cases.
When a company or firm is sued for making a mistake, performing services in a negligent way or
misrepresenting or financially harming a client, the consequences can harm a company in an
irreversible way.
This is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since E O insurance is important to carry when running a business most professions have this type of
insurance to cover a potential lawsuit that would otherwise cause them to file for bankruptcy. It may
come as a surprise that some states do not require businesses to have E O insurance, but a large
portion of contracts with clients required insurance for the contract to be in effect. Having an E O
insurance policy may sometimes be a selling point for potential clients. When a client sees that a
business has this type of insurance it gives them peace of mind knowing that if there happens to be
any error or omission throughout the process they will be compensated. The same applies to the actual
company. It makes it easier to accept new clients and cases knowing that in case of any alleged
misunderstanding or disputes, the policy would bring in protection and coverage.
According to techinsurance.com about 70% of businesses raise prices or cut hiring when sued and yet,
$35 billion = annual out of pocket cost of lawsuits for small businesses. These numbers are a clear
indication of how important E O is for a business to operate.
Before getting into pricing, perhaps we should take a look at the overall market around the E O,
including how companies are hedging themselves against the possibility of a lawsuit.

man that always seemed to act in a polite manner even times where most would not. Siddhartha says,
Opinions mean nothing; they may be beautiful or ugly, clever or foolish, anyone can embrace or reject

wisdom. He kindly states that he could possibly learn from on of the teacher, but is better on his own.
He doesn t belittle the teacher, he goes about his actions like a gentlemen. This is an example of Right

Mediation and Peacekeeping Agenda in International Relations
MEDIATION AND PEACEKEEPING AGENDA In International Relations, mediation and
peacekeeping are the very essence of what are international relations itself, international organizations
and regional organization like the African Union. First established by the United Nations decades ago,
it has played an outstanding role in the peaceful aim and determination of armed conflict around the
world. It was at the end of the Cold War that it mostly reached its peak as many long term conflicts
were finally coming to an end due to the political negotiations which were often broken but were
successfully applied after strong mediation and peacekeeping effort. For this thesis of the Darfur
conflict, to assess and examine the African Union s mediation and peacekeeping agenda, we must first
understand and differentiate between peacemaking and peacekeeping. Then their role in the Darfur
conflict could be analyzed and if they have had an outstanding role as in many others armed conflict.
Definition of Mediation and Peacekeeping What is mediation? What is peacemaking? Peacemaking
and mediation are deeply intertwine and cannot be defined without one another. But what is
peacemaking? Peacemaking has been defined by many scholars and critics. For Douglas Noll, an
expert in peacemaking and mediation specialized in difficult and intractable conflicts; he defined
peacemaking as a complex concept as even peace can be defined in so many ways. But however he
described peacemaking as a concept

Genghis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte, And Attila The Hun
People can go down in history for a variety of reasons, whether it be protesting inequalities, being the
first to achieve an impressive task, or simply being successful. Among those remembered, conquerors
are often remembered by many, often in conflicting light. The greatest individual conquerors of the
world s past include Genghis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Attila the Hun. But alongside these
memorable names is the widely known Alexander the Great. His colossal empire spanned around two
million square miles, falling behind only Genghis Khan for having the largest conquered area ruled by
one individual (Jayne Notes). And, as with any person who did things along that line, Alexander the
Great is often conflicted on whether he was a hero or a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While that may sound cruel, it was by far the better of the two, and unfortunately not the one that
Alexander pushed the League to choose. The secondary option is a horrifying decision, as the city of
Thebes ended up being completely and utterly annihilated because of it, save for a few temples
(Thebes Conquered). While some may argue that it may have been completely necessary in order to
truly prevent any possible future uprisings from Thebes, they are only partially correct, as Alexander
the Great could have possibly put down the rebellion in Thebes with half as many casualties. During
the put down of the city, there was a woman named Timoclea, who killed one of the generals in
Alexander s army (Thebes Conqueror). But although she did do that, Alexander spared her life
because he admired her courage, even though she defied him to his face (Thebes Conqueror). This
does not make up for what Alexander the Great allowed his army to do, as Timoclea was raped and
abused by several Macedonian soldiers (Jayne Notes). As the story of Thebes being made into an
example spread, most people living in an area within the reach of the territory hungry hands of
Alexander the Great probably spent

Abstract
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present a model for values based service brands grounded in
values based service management. In undertaking this task, the paper addresses two research
questions: What is the role of values in creating customer value and corporate identity? and How can

(2) How can values and corporate identity be communicated to customers and thus contribute to
customer perceived service value? The paper is structured as follows. First, the study presents a
literature review and theoretical framework for describing and understanding values based service
brands. Second, the study presents ļ¬ve narratives describing how IKEA communicates company
values in creating total customer value. The paper then relates its empirical ļ¬ndings to previous
research and suggests a model for values based service brands, values based management, and
corporate image. Finally, the paper discusses the research contribution, managerial implications, and
suggestions for future research. 2. Theoretical framework To attract and retain customers, and thus
make a proļ¬t, companies are constantly searching for new and better ways of creating value for
customers and differentiating their market offerings (Shaw and Ivens, 2002; Bendapudi and Leone,
2003). However, it has been argued that technical and functional qualities are not enough; attractive
values also form part of a favourable customer experience (Cronin, 2003; Sherry, 1998). This view is
in accordance with Mano and Oliver s (1993) study of utilitarian consumption judgments and hedonic
consumption judgments. In a similar vein, the concept of value in use (Vargo and

Ketchup Colorblind
In Living Color; Glasses providing color to the colorblind
Can you tell the difference between ketchup and mustard without reading the bottle first? Many can
answer yes to this question but, what about those who would answer no? Color vision deficiency,
otherwise known as CVD or colorblindness, may soon be obsolete. CVD affects approximately 1 in
12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women in the world. EnChroma, a company that was developed in
Berkeley, California discovered glasses that enable those living with CVD to see color.

EnChroma glasses cost up to $450 per pair. Despite the fact that the product is expensive, they are
selling fast. We re selling these very quickly, McPherson said. As soon as we order 500 or 1,000 pairs,
they are sold.
Color Efficient???
In order to test the accuracy of the glasses, scientists administered color tests on participants before
and after wearing the glasses. For every participant, the results for both tests were similar. Dr. Mark
Fromer, an attending ophthalmologist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, doesn t believe these
glasses can change the color blind eye s ability to see true colors, according to ABC news. McPherson
and his team have been unable to prove that EnChroma glasses cure color blindness however, they
help people perceive colors better, said McPherson.
Aaron Williams Mele was gifted a pair Enchroma Color for the Colorblind glasses for his birthday.
The first time wearing his glasses at a beach in Norfolk, VA, was a tear jerking experience for him.
Immediately after putting them on, Williams Mele s smile melts right off his face. His bewilderment is

Description of Ambulatory Care and Hospitalization Care Essay
As early as the 1990 s, outpatient care only made up for 10 to 15% of a hospital s total profits,
compared to inpatient care. Since the start of the twenty first century, this figure has increased to
approximately 60%. This shift in healthcare has been occurring in different medical organizations
such as university medical centers, local hospitals, for profit chains, and not for profit suppliers. The
increase in outpatient services compared to inpatient has been showing no indication of slowing down.
The main reason for the development in outpatient care is because of all the medical advancements in
techniques and technology that allow for patients to be treated less invasively. Health care
organizations are now being compensated in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The development of walk in clinics at the local CVS Pharmacy or Wal Mart are part of the
freestanding facilities that provide people in communities easier access to treatment without going to a
hospital ED. Additionally, the evident convenience aspect of bringing full emergency services to
communities, freestanding centers may be less likely to resort to hospital admissions as an outlet to
drive throughput. The incentive for ASCs is to emphasize volume and higher rates, while hospitals are
considered to regulate utilization. Looking closely, the main purpose originates from ASCs lower cost
profile compared to hospitals with the additional benefit of the likely to evade inpatient expenditure.
Within ambulatory clinics, there are three levels of service that are preformed based on the type of
diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Level one ambulatory service is considered an option to
inpatient care with both patient and service parts that corresponds with the point of intensity. The role
of this level is to offer alleviation from acute symptom reducing mechanisms such as less severe
residential constituents such as the family treatment home for children. Level two ambulatory services
are set apart by effective treatment; regularly with a rehab or transitional process that is built in to the
care plan. This process is complete in a staff supported setting that expands past the care setting into
the important sections of the patient s district

The Doctrine Of Free Trade
Historically, Republican Presidents have often been considered to be wholeheartedly dedicated to the
doctrine of free trade, with the common consensus being that Republican Presidents have championed
laissez faire foreign commerce since the end of the Second World War (Batra, 1996, p1).
Consequently the idea of protectionism under Republican governments has too often been reflexively
denounced by US trade analysts.
The purpose of this section is to explicate how even under supposedly neoliberal Republicans such as
Reagan, Bush JR and Nixon, domestic pressures have dictated that US Governments compromise their
commitment to free trade. Such domestic pressures essentially stem from industries that are relatively
uncompetitive; in that they tend to struggle to compete with foreign manufacturers and politically
sensitive; in that they have substantial voting power and representation in Congress. This juxtaposition
of a lack of competitiveness and political sensitivity has on a number of occasions proven to be
sufficient in forcing committed free traders into invoking protectionist policies.
The ultimate consequence of these pressures for both the Republicans and Obama has been defensive
protectionism , which as previously mentioned provides ad hoc import relief for specific industries on
a case by case basis. This section will thus tackle two key myths with regards to US trade politics:
firstly the notion that Obama s protectionism represents a new trade policy in the US

Plant Pollination In Plants
Every biotic and abiotic factor has a reason to coexist with the world. We can only live through
balance. When we are missing a factor it throws our system out of place. There is no exception with
how plants reproduce. Like the food chain, pollination happens in a cycle, but instead of what eats
what. It s more of the steps on how a plant sends off its seeds. Plants go through a process of
fertilization to produce seedlings. Most plants can not fertilize on their own. Plants can t just stand up
and walk to find a suitable mate like us humans. This does not mean that plants are not able to
reproduce. They have a special way to get their pollen onto their own or other plant s pistils. Plants
trade with pollinators. Pollinators are anything that transfers pollen to pistols. For example, bees are
the most common but they are not the only pollinators. Bats are pollinators, so are humans, even the
wind is considered a pollinator. Pollinators can be a living thing or and natural occurrence. Plants have
two major parts of their anatomy structure for reproducing. The anther, which is the male part that
contains the pollen. And the pistils, the female part of the flower. The goal is to get the pollen from the
anthers to the pistol. Pollinators have tasked this job. Pollinators visit plants for their own purposes, to
collect nectar, which is a sugary substance that can be used as food or to make honey, oil, or just to
hang out. When a pollinator visits a

Relations Between Iran and US Essay
In 1979, protests erupted across the nation against the government of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
This was triggered by the domination of foreign policy, the exploitation of Iran s resources and wealth
by foreign firms, corruption and oppressive regime. The Shah s government s close ties with the
United States and Israel, his oppressive methods and his program of Westernization were unpopular
with the Iranian people. They therefore turned to the ulama as an alternative. Ayatollah Ruhollah
Khomeini, in exile in Paris, distributed cassette tapes of his speeches to many of the partakers in the
protests. The protests were eventually included under the umbrella of Shiite Islam. The Shah was
eventually overthrown and sent to exile. Ayatollah ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The politicization of the concepts of Shi ism was first presented by Ayatollah Khomeini s concept of
velayat e faqih (the governance of jurisprudence). According to this concept, the Supreme Leader (vali
e faqih) is the legal leader of the Islamic community and, thus, he is equal to the imam. The velayat e
faqih has been the main principle of the Islamic Republic of Iran s political structure since the
revolution.
This Shiite component is a very important element of foreign policy as it is what forms Iranian
identity, along with Iranian nationalism. Shi ism is very different from Sunni Islam. It is infinitely
more religious and plays a much larger role in people s daily lives. It is because of this that even the
most secular of the political groups that partook in the revolution were still very much religious. After
the coup staged by the CIA against Mossadeq, who attempted to nationalize the oil industry, the
United States became highly unpopular with the Iranian people and was viewed as a counterforce to
Iranian nationalism. This strongly Shiite identity is also why the referendum resulted in the
establishment of an Islamic Republic. It is also important as it set one of Iran s major foreign policy
goals and has been a driving force for many of its strategic decisions in the region. Following the
establishment of the Islamic Republic, Iran severed ties with Israel, a far cry from what relations had
been like, and even ceased to recognize it as an

  • 2. The Importance Of Suspension In Education The most frequently used discipline practice amongst schools in America, is out of school suspension (Lee, Cornell, Gregory, Xitao, 2011). Suspension is used as a consequence to correct a student s actions or behavior on school ground. Periodically, this is an effective approach depending on the student s mindset about their education. Socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and the environment the students are raised in also tends to play a role in the student s behavior. Based on where an adolescent is raised can be a critical factor because of the impact it can have on their achievement in school. The dropout rates for urban students tend to be higher than students living in rural areas. Suspension can lead to negative academic outcomes for students individually. According to Gregory Ripski (2008), high school teachers frequently refer students for discipline problems. Students suspended from school are more likely to be retained, get suspended again, and have low achievement. Majority of the referrals for defiance occur in the classroom. The study addressed the gaps within the relation among trust in authority and cooperation between discipline referred students and teachers. Researchers suggest that cooperative behavior is the key for well functioning high school classrooms, in which youth trust their teachers and engage in their academic success. This study conducted 40 minute semistructured interviews and surveys regarding students behavior and disciplinary approaches ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Terror Of Terror And Violence In July of 2014, ISIS blew up a Muslim shrine as an act of terror and violence. Again they attempted to terrorize the local people of Iraq when they blew up another ancient mosque later the same month. The ISIS terrorist group is an extremist Muslim organization that is capitalizing off the fear and confusion of the Syrian Civil War. For the past five years, ISIS has waged war on the Syrian government as well as any other group that does not conform to their extreme ways of life. Their tactics for control are aggressive and extreme; public beheading, fear mongering, and destruction of local historical and religious sites. The destruction of these sites is done in an iconoclastic manor; yet, they also use the destruction to push their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... ISIS is known for their hatred of religious and ethnic groups that do not conform to their extreme ways. Christian and the Sunni Muslims are the two main targets for the ISIS terror attacks. Their attacks have no limits. In Beirut, a fifth century Roman Catholic monastery was destroyed by ISIS while in Mosul the suspected tomb of Jonah the prophet was blown up (). Also in Mosul, a mosque and shrine devoted to Prophet Jirjis was also blown up as an act of terror. It s clear that ISIS has no specific target other than those that disagree with their platform and extreme views. They use the destruction of images as an attempt to scare locals into subjecting to their laws. ISIS recognizes the power that these images hold on people and they are trying to exploit that. Similarly, the government of France and Russia used images and their powers to spread propaganda. While ISIS uses the images of destruction and violence more so than Russia and France, the similarities can be seen in the effort to control the common people. What makes this form of iconoclasm so different is that it deviates from the normal iconoclasm that took place early in religious history. Early forms of iconoclasm destroyed images because of the fear and power that they have and create. As Freedberg states, It [iconoclasm] opens realms of power and fear that we may sense but cannot quite grasp. When the iconoclast ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pickled eggs are hard boiled eggs that are preserved in vinegar and seasonings for at least two days. It was thought that the British brought pickled eggs to America, but others are certain that it was the Germans. Whoever brought them, thank you! These sweet and sour eggs have become popular in pubs, taverns and bars all over the world due to their harmonious pairing with beer. Thus, most analysis stems from direct and common sense procedures. There are different kinds of analysis; whereas some market analysis focuses on specific micro level decisions, others focus on a broader and more general characterization of a broader market. So we set off a trip to a destination that is worry free. The long car ride is spent singing to our favorite throwback songs and arguing about the dumbest of things, like who ate the last slice of pizza the night before or maybe even who left the seat up last. All of which are moments worth a chuckle. When we finally arrive at the wonderful place, the first breath of fresh air is taken as the door to our white suburban is opened and we come into contact with the grounds of Pismo Beach. With the help of the seven individuals that poured out of the cramped car; we start to unpack the trunk with gadgets that are needed for the day to begin. Ice chests, sand buckets, shovels, foldable chairs, towels and a radio, all come along with us in our journey for a day at the beach. Immediately it is noticed that there is a drastic change in temperatures as it dropped a couple degrees from how it felt back home. The breeze here fills my skin with goosebumps that the short hairs on my arms stand up as it is too cold for normalcy. The wind also elevates the grainy sand to reach the height of my head, and the particles become a part of my tangled brunette hair, where later it will almost become impossible to get every single sand bit out of the barkish stands. Heading down to the oceanside, we choose a section to set up. Towels are thrown on the surface of the beach. Sandwiches are in the factory of Momma s kitchen being prepared for the hungry stomachs of my siblings and I. After filling out human gas tanks, it s time to get a feel of the finest, Pismo Beach. Buckets are filled with sand because it is time to build unstable castles and mansions that is a representation of our ideal home when we grow up. My dad will think it s cool acting like the hulk, stomping around our masterpiece and burning it down to the core, smooshing together the damp sand, with the only thing left is the stamp of his size thirteen foot. And us. rolling in the sand laughing at the character he played so carelessly. The scene he created, the laugh we felt in our stomachs, are all just part of why we love so much about ... Companies fitting a certain archetype have benefitted from greater financial success and have been able to build more dominant global brands relative to brand with less defined, if not confused archetypes. In doing so, the paper will present literature that supports the importance of archetypes and imprints in consumers perceptions and global branding, as well as the benefits both financially and competitively to companies that utilize them. By its conclusion the discussion attempts to build an argument substantiating the importance of archetype consciousness in global branding in order to gain a competitive advantage beyond product attributes or pricing and distribution strategies.. The Importance of Imprints to Branding The author Graeme Newell in the article Marketing Without Words The Power of Emotional Attachment to Branding discusses the importance of brands in creating an emotional attachment and relationships with their consumers. Italian Immigration And New Immigration From 1890 onward became a part of what is known as New Immigration, which became known as the third and largest wave of immigration to America from Europe. This wave consisted of Slavs, Jews, and Italians. Three million Italians, which was the largest new immigrants, immigrated to America. These immigrants represented all regions of Italy most of them being from Southern Italy. Italian immigrants were driven from their homelands for the many hardships they faced and hoped that America would benefit to their cause only to find that they were faced with new struggles. Many Italians were often referred to as birds of passage because they had only planned on staying in the United States temporarily just until they could gain enough money to support their life back in Italy. Poverty, overpopulation, politics, and natural disasters have had Italians packing but only temporarily. Poverty was the main reason that Italians felt the need to leave. With northern Italians in control of the government high taxes and protective tariffs on northern industries hurt southern Italians. Along with that, roughly eighty percent of Italians lived off of agriculture. Many farming tools were inefficient due to the lack of modern technology, which did not allow for improvement. Farmers often lived in a one room house with no plumbing or even privacy which were harsh conditions in comparison to others. • 12. Buck V. Bell Case Study Module 3 Activity: Buck v. Bell Since the time of the court s decision, what changes have been made in the lives of individuals who are intellectually disabled? There have been widespread societal changes in the way in which individuals with intellectual disabilities are treated since the court made its decision in the 1920s. These changes lead to those with disabilities being able to participate in more areas of normal life. This movement to remove barriers for people with disabilities is called normalization (Hallahan, Kauffman, Pullen, 2015). Prior to the 1970 s, those with intellectual disabilities were placed in institutions, but after this time there was an effort to keep people with intellectual disabilities in their own communities. This change has both positive and negative implications. While this brought people with intellectual disabilities back to their communities and helped them integrate into a more normal way of life, many are now in jails or homeless. A second piece of normalization that is particular to education is inclusion. This is the practice in which students with exceptionalities are included in a general education classroom with their peers (Hallahan, Kauffman, Pullen, 2015). This practice is also controversial, as there are a myriad of opinions regarding which students ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, Jules Dassin s 1948 film, The Naked City, stood out amongst its competition. The film s style ignores the usual expressiveness of noir characters, and replaces them with professional, dialed in detectives. In comparison, another film noir movie, The Maltese Falcon, directed by John Hutson and released in 1941, casted a stereotypical noir protagonist Sam Spade (Humphrey Bogart), in the sense that Spade is a tarnished hero who is not bound by the normal rules of morality. The funniest one I thought was during the end pursuit, Garzah walks past dark haired lady in a floral dress, pushing a baby in a stroller. As Donahue pursues Garzah in a following scene, the same woman is walking without her baby carriage and her left hand bandaged. I actually went back and watched this part of the movie. In addition, I think that the fact that the plot was fairly straightforward, but progresses smoothly, it makes it entertaining. There were no complex twists, allowing nearly audiences of all ages to follow what was going on. Education Deregulation Deregulation of education in the United States aims to limit government presence within the education system in order to achieve efficiency, equality, and equity throughout the entire nation. Education policy is usually handled at a state and local level, raising the majority of the funds and regulating a range of aspects including the length of a school day and how much funding each district will receive. However, the national government still retains influence over the education system through funding, filling in the gaps where state and local government cannot provide services, and intervening when there is inequality. In order to go from the ongoing agenda to the governing agenda, the policy of deregulation must be brought through a Congressional committee, specifically the Education and the Workforce Committee, which concentrates on educational public policy and holds the power to bring it to the Congressional attention. • 17. Tips for Good Print Design Student Network Resources Inc. Some factors to consider for good print design are accurate use of bleeds, edges, cropping, color, and elements of typography. Text should not be cut off or flowing over into the folding of brochures or the next newsletter columns. Print layout and design elements must meet in order to produce excellent advertising copy. Bleeding Bleeding occurs when a design element such as print or an image extends further than the edge of the margins or page. Sometimes this can be intended for effect, but is viewed as unprofessional if unintentional (Graphic Fetish, 2009). Cropping Crop marks, cropping is an element used to trim off the unnecessary parts of a picture image, or page. The crop marks are the cutting lines that are guides to setting areas being cut. Color Schemes Color can draw or detract from a print design. Using complementary colors in print can give warmth and an inviting feel to the print or it can bore the audience (Graphic Fetish, 2009). Understanding how to properly use color is important in reaching an audience or highlighting the capture of an eventful moment (Wildfire.com, 2012). Typography design refers to how the printed material is laid out. Is the print copy effective in relaying the message to the audience or does it disrupt or interfere with the message (Kyrnin, 2012). This is something that Arthur Miller conveys in his play Death of a Salesman. Before the Depression, an optimistic America offered the alluring promise of success and riches. [1] Miller uses many characters to contrast the difference between success and failure in the American system. Willy Loman is a deluded salesman whose vivid imagination is far greater than his sales ability. Linda, Willy s wife, honourably stands by her husband even in the absence of essential realism. To some extent, she acknowledges Willy s aspirations but, naively, she also accepts them. Consequently, Linda is not part of the solution but rather part of the problem with this dysfunctional family and their inability to face reality. In restraining Willy from his quest for wealth in the Alaska, the New Continent [2], ironically the only realm where the dream can be fulfilled, Linda destroys any hope the family has of achieving greatness . Even so, Linda symbolically embodies the play s ultimate value: love. In her innocent love of Willy, Linda accepts her husband s falsehood, his dream, but, in her admiration of his dream, she is lethal. Linda encourages Willy and, in doing so, allows her sons, Biff and Happy, to follow their father s misleading direction in life. [3] ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Doctrine Of Free Trade Historically, Republican Presidents have often been considered to be wholeheartedly dedicated to the doctrine of free trade, with the common consensus being that Republican Presidents have championed laissez faire foreign commerce since the end of the Second World War (Batra, 1996, p1). Consequently the idea of protectionism under Republican governments has too often been reflexively denounced by US trade analysts. The purpose of this section is to explicate how even under supposedly neoliberal Republicans such as Reagan, Bush JR and Nixon, domestic pressures have dictated that US Governments compromise their commitment to free trade. Such domestic pressures essentially stem from industries that are relatively uncompetitive; in that they tend to struggle to compete with foreign manufacturers and politically sensitive; in that they have substantial voting power and representation in Congress. This juxtaposition of a lack of competitiveness and political sensitivity has on a number of occasions proven to be sufficient in forcing committed free traders into invoking protectionist policies. The ultimate consequence of these pressures for both the Republicans and Obama has been defensive protectionism , which as previously mentioned provides ad hoc import relief for specific industries on a case by case basis. When we are missing a factor it throws our system out of place. There is no exception with how plants reproduce. Like the food chain, pollination happens in a cycle, but instead of what eats what. It s more of the steps on how a plant sends off its seeds. Plants go through a process of fertilization to produce seedlings. Most plants can not fertilize on their own. Plants can t just stand up and walk to find a suitable mate like us humans. This does not mean that plants are not able to reproduce. They have a special way to get their pollen onto their own or other plant s pistils. Plants trade with pollinators. Pollinators are anything that transfers pollen to pistols. For example, bees are the most common but they are not the only pollinators. Bats are pollinators, so are humans, even the wind is considered a pollinator. Pollinators can be a living thing or and natural occurrence. Plants have two major parts of their anatomy structure for reproducing. The anther, which is the male part that contains the pollen. And the pistils, the female part of the flower. The goal is to get the pollen from the anthers to the pistol. Pollinators have tasked this job.
