din Aibak in 1206. It is a fluted red Indo-
islamic style sandstone tower of 72.5
metres height and covered with intricate
carvings and verses from the Quran.

Agra to Delhi. Within 8 years, it was
ready in all its magnificence to receive
the Emperor.
