Relationships that are not traditionally accepted result in negative consequences. Father Dowling
blindly goes into making a relationship with two street walkers without even thinking about the
consequences. The society he lives in does not see prostitutes as humans with rights. Father Dowling
felt more love for them than for any one he had known in his parish, a curious, new love that gave him
a strange contentment (18). He feels a new emotion when he meets these two girls and since he feels a
strange contentment, he could potentially be feeling a fleshy love, instead of a divine love. He keeps
fooling himself into thinking that his love is just divine, but he is hesitating on which type of affection
he is giving to the girls. The relationship between a priest and two prostitutes will not be accepted
within their society and leads to many negative consequences. In addition, the loss of rationality in
decision making is an effect of radical shifts in opinion. Father Dowling convinces himself that the
girls need his love the most because no one loves them for who they are. He decides to continue to
help them and has a different opinion on what the church believes to be correct. He only focuses on
the girls and their well being and completely forgets to send money to his mother who is also

networking sites, social media most often used by adults and a few interesting facts pertaining to age
and social media. With that being said, when it comes to targeting an audience through technology, it s
