Al Minor Associates, Inc. V. Martin Case Summary
Robert Martin was sued for misappropriation of trade secrets in the case of Al Minor
Associates, Inc. vs Martin, in the state of Ohio. The facts of the case are as follows: Robert
Martin, a former employee of Al Minor Associates, formed his own company in 2003, offering the
same services as Al Minor Associates. He did so while still employed at the company. This means that
Robert, who was hired in 1998, still had access to its customer files and sensitive account information
belonging to Al Minor .Associates, while forming his own business to compete with them. He
proceeded to memorize customer information, that he then used in his own business, once he resigned
from Al Minor Associates in 2004. Robert solicited fifteen of Al Minor s clients for business. ... Show

The trial court in Ohio ruled in favor of Al Minor .Associates and awarded them $25,973 for a
violation of the Trade Secret Act. The Franklin County Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court s
ruling stating that, a client list such as the one at issue fits the statutory definition of a trade secret
under R.C. 1333.61(D), AMA s memorized client list warrants trade secret status
(Strobel). Martin appealed to the Supreme Court of Ohio, claiming that his memory cannot be the
basis for a trade secret violation and that the appellate court s decision overly restricted his right to
compete in business against Al Minor .Associates (Strobel). The Supreme Court of
Perone 2
Ohio upheld the appellate court s decision stating that information that constitutes a trade secret
pursuant to statute does not lose its character as a trade secret if it has been memorized

Why Death So Much It Feels More Like A Memory
I consider my own mortality quite often. There is a lyric in the musical Hamilton that reads, I imagine
death so much it feels more like a memory. When is it going to get me? In my sleep, several feet ahead
of me? I remember first hearing this lyric and feeling that it was the only words outside of my own
thoughts I had connected with in a long while. Over the past few years, I have been forced to reckon
with my own mortality more than I believe useful. I have witnessed much death throughout these past
couple of years, and I have not always known what to do with it with the grief, the sorrow, the loss, or
the transience.
I constantly feel the impending doom that is my impermanence. I know death is a part of life I am
very painfully aware of this fact. I know that I will someday die, but what is it that I will leave behind?
Will I leave anything behind? I m a filmmaker, a photographer, a musician I have projects that I am
very proud of. But the question still rings in my ears: Have I done anything valuable? And what does
the world consider valuable? Is their value the same as mine? I find that I do not know how to shake
these questions from my attentions.
I grew up in a Christian community, believing that if you were baptized and maintained the Bible s
standards, then you were saved and being saved meant heaven after death. However, after one of my
best friends passed away, I began to question mortality, as well as death as a whole. Exactly how strict

Bronchogenic Cysts Research Paper
INTRODUCTION: Bronchogenic cysts are formed due to abnormal budding of bronchial tree. They
are lined by respiratory epithelium. They are not air filled as they do not commonly communicate with
the bronchial tree. They are filled with fluid containing proteins, blood products and calcium oxalate.
One third are located in the lung parenchyma and two third are located in the mediastinum. 40 to 50%
of all congenital cysts in the thorax are bronchogenic cysts. On CT scans they appear as round mass
with attenuation similar to soft tissue or water.
Symptoms arise only when the cyst compresses surrounding structures. Most cysts are asymptomatic.

The age of the patient, non‑smoker status, absence of emphysema or abnormality suggesting a
previous tuberculosis insult lessens the possibility of a bulla. Cystic bronchiectasis is unlikely
considering the solitary nature, lower lobe location and lack of recurrent lung infections.
Treatment for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients is surgical resection. Surgical resection is
the treatment of choice in all patients including those who are asymptomatic considering the risk of
recurrent infections. If CCAM is detected antenatally or at birth, surgical resection is done between 1
and 6 months of age as the scope for compensatory lung growth after resection is much better in
infants compared to adults.
The standard therapy has been a posterolateral thoracotomy or median sternotomy with
intrapulmonary cysts requiring segmental or lobar resection.
Histopathological Examination in this patient revealed hyalinised collagen tissue devoid of any lining
epithelium except a localized area having squamous epithelium and syncytium with multiple nuclei.
The underlying lung parenchyma showed dilated bronchioles, normal alveolar spaces and focal

Joe Johnston
Joe Johnston began his career storyboarding and creating concept art for Star Wars Episodes IV, V, and
VI.
He then transitioned into art direction, and then overall direction. Recently, he is best known for
directing Jumanji and Captain America; The First Avenger.
Droids C3PO and R2D2 look out the window of a space ship. Repeating circular shapes balance the
composition while drawing the viewer into the scene through framing the window. The focal point of
the image is the window. The darkness of outside the space ship weights the drawing in the center, and
the framing elements of the droids also draws the viewer to the center of the frame. The character s

Using the scale of the moon and details of the surface of the planet, it was successfully communicated
how far the ship was from the ground. This sequence could have easily been shot straightforward and
would lack any excitement or dynamic. Johnston successfully create an interesting sequence through
varying the camera height and angle throughout the decent. The light colored Millennium Falcon is
always overlapping with some part of the dark void of space in each frame, causing it to be the focal
point of all shots. The texture of the planet becomes more recognizable as the ship moves closer to the
surface, communicating the changing distance between the ship and the planet. In addition to lack of
surface detail in the first 4 frames, the shape repetition changes from circular to organic and abstract.
This is a successful sequence due to the use of shape, value, and detail to communicate to the viewer
the story of the Millennium Falcon landing on a planet.
Two different sequences of two frames each, use similar techniques to communication the story. Both
sequences use the framing element of foreground environment and foreground figures to push focus to
what characters are looking at in the middle and backgrounds.
In the top set, the figures are looking at the vehicle in the bottom right corner of the first panel. The
camera is then taken closer to the vehicle to introduce the character driving it; Luke Skywalker, the

Abdul Kalam
President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Dreams float on an impatient wind, A wind that wants to create a new order. An order of strength and
thundering of fire. from a poem written by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the undisputed father of India s missile program. He has breathed life into
ballistic missiles like the Agni and Prithvi, which put China and Pakistan well under India s missile
range. It is too exhausting to track Dr Abdul Kalam s achievements to date. In the 60s and 70s he was
a trail blazer in the space department. In the 80s he transformed the moribund Defence Research and
Development Laboratory in Hyderabad into a highly motivated team. By the 90s Kalam emerged as

After that, he undertook a preliminary design study on Human Centrifuge. He designed and developed
a vertical takeoff and landing platform, and Hot Cockpit. Three years later, the Aeronautical
Development Establishment(ADE) was formed in Bangalore and he was posted there.
At ADE, Kalam served as a senior scientific assistant, heading a small team that developed a
prototype hovercraft. Defence Minister Krishna Menon rode in India s first indigenous hovercraft with
Kalam at the controls. But for reasons never explained, the project which would have been a
considerable international achievement in those days, was not encouraged. This was probably one of
the reasons why he moved out of ADE in 1962 and joined India s space program.
During 1963 82, he served the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO) in various capacities. Here
Kalam initiated Fibre Reinforced Plastics(FRP) activities, then after a stint with the aerodynamics and
design group, he joined the satellite launch vehicle team at Thumba, near Trivandram and soon
became Project Director for SLV 3. As Project Director, he was responsible for carrying out the
design, development, qualification and flight testing of 44 major sub systems. The project managed to

Analysis Of Cornelia De Lange s Syndrome
Abstract
Cornelia de Lange is a syndrome defined as a genetic birth defect and effects 1 in every 10,000 births.
A genetic mutation of gene has been identified as the cause although research and testing continue.
There is no cure and treatment is based on each individual s severity of the syndrome. The classic
signs are long eyelashes, eyebrows that meet in the middle, low ear placement, and missing fingers or
arms. A large amount of those diagnosed with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome also have slowed physical
and cognitive development, with approximately 60% exhibiting self injurious behavior. CORNELIA

The exam completes and the obstetrician enters the room with a small smile along with concern
showing in her eyes. Long eyelashes that are visible in an ultrasound have been linked to a genetic
condition known as, Cornelia de Lange. While there are many more classic characteristics, that will be
discussed later in this paper, this one feature along with the baby s small size has the doctor concerned
and is cause enough to recommend genetic testing for an exact diagnosis.
CORNELIA DE LANGE Diagnosis for Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLs) consists of genetic
testing, as well as findings made from physical and developmental observations. As with most
syndromes, CdLs has a range from mild to severe. There are classic signs like small size, long
eyelashes, eyebrows that meet in the middle, and missing fingers or arms. Other children are so mildly
affected, the condition goes unnoticed and undiagnosed. Many individuals diagnosed with CdLs have
a majority of physical, medical, and developmental disabilities. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, a
battery of tests will follow. With the results, a better picture of needed treatments, education, and
useful resources can be provided. Educating families and caregivers has been shown to increase the
quality of life for the individuals diagnosed with CdLs. Providing information as to

Application Of The Library Management System
Abstract The Library management system is the application software that is developed to make a
record of Book purchasing, book searching, book issuing and rent, book returned, catalogs, stock
creation, all other fine books, popular and bestsellers and other Library related works. The aim of the
project is to make the manual handling of Library system into computerized system which includes all
above features. The scope of this software application is to generate the automatic process of manual
handling of Library records and to handle the stock as well as book issues related information.
Maintaining records of application for estates, the annual system is too complex cumbersome. Since
time and resources available we have been proposed to developed an inventory system
.All the outset the application requirements were studied and analysis and design were carried out. The
development platform and software tool were identified as visual basic 6.0 and access database. Using
visual programming, object are manipulated directly and also due to the feature of fast and easy
prototyping and GUI building visual basic 6.0 as used.

The Habits Of Highly Effective People By Stephen R. Covey...
7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey
When I went through professor s required book list, I recognized the book, 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People, at my first glance. I do remember that I read its Chinese version which was a present
from my grandfather almost ten years ago when I was a teenager. Shortly after feeling excited, I was a
little embarrassed because I barely remember the 7 habits. Now as an adult almost a decade later, after
finished the book, the original work, I was impressed. The immaturity made me believe that most of
the points of Covey were too obvious and trite to make sense. But now those things Covey talked
about are actually tough challenges in my life. The precondition of the Covey s theory is that a lot of
people fix the problems in a scattershot approach which will eventually lead to chaos or
disappointment for the most time. The author s answer to this is to be an effective person. People
needs to learn to solve problems from personal life, study and work with an approach based on a same
core values. The book is about how to develop the core values basically through the seven habits in
order to be a more effective person. The seven habits also help to achieve greater insights into
leadership and management in people s personal and professional life in the effective way.
The seven habits are: 1. Be proactive 2. Begin with the end in mind 3. Put first things first 4. Think
win win 5. First understand, then be understood 6.

Carpe Diem
Both, To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick and A Psalm of Life , by Henry
Wadsworth Longfellow, conveys, through a persona, a matured perspective of Carpe Diem. Both poets
communicate their individual opinion, Longfellow s 19th century poem discusses the importance of
creating a legacy and leaving an impact on time, whereas Herrick s 17th century cavalier style poem
implies the significance of retaining the prime years of your life, and portrays the brevity of the life
cycle. These main aspects of Carpe Diem are expressed through various visual and auditory features to
manifest an idea to readers about how to seize the day.

Herrick discusses the inevitability of death but the tone maintains the positive and cheerful nature. The
tone promotes optimism to us readers and reflects how Herrick views life. Herrick uses alliteration
throughout the poem, such as in stanza 1 with same and smiles , or stanza 2 with higher and he s .
These examples of alliteration create focus on the importance of the ideas the poet presents on Carpe
Diem. The auditory features cooperate to communicate Herrick s main ideas on the notion of how to
seize the day.
In A Psalm of Life , Longfellow develops ideas on Carpe Diem through visual representations. The
poet, using a powerful extended metaphor in stanza 5, expresses life as a battle using striking visual
imagery with the phrase, In the world s broad field of battle . A military battle negatively connotes
hardship and unpredictability , reflecting the nature of suffering in life. The metaphor continues
throughout the stanza conveying to readers not to be dumb, driven cattle whereas to be a hero in the
strife! . This compelling idea supports the theme of creating a legacy and promotes being courageous.
Longfellow reinforces his agnostic ideas, which are disagreed with by Herrick, about religion several
times in the poem, suggesting religion holds people back from seizing the day. In stanza 6, the

What Is The Mood Of The Count Of Monte Cristo
Just like every great story The Count of Monte Cristo has its own particular and mesmerizing settings.
Alexandre Dumas not only amazes us with breathtaking and exotic places but he also takes us to the
darkest and goriest corners that you could ever imagine, places that could even alter the emotional
state of the strongest man. This novel begins at a French seaside town called Marseilles, Edmond s
hometown and home for all his loved ones and all his enemies. The Chateau d If is a prison
completely surrounded by water which is really conventional since it makes it impossible for the
prisoners to escape from it. This is the place where our main character spent fourteen years of his life
incarcerated and where he met old Abbe Faria. Then, we have The Island of Monte Cristo, despite
being a fictional setting, this place is one of the most important ones in the whole book. This is the
place where our dear Edmond finds Abbe Faria s treasure and where he builds up his mini castle and
becomes what we now will know as The Count of Monte Cristo . Then the book keeps on ... Show

The Manhattan Project Pros And Cons
The Manhattan Project is recognised as one of the most ethical, legal and military controversies
surrounding the United States of America. The research and developments produced by the project
had led to the first atomic bombs, during World War II in order to cause Japan s surrender; this being a
justification for many scholars.
This discovery of the process of fission in uranium was made in 1938 by German radiochemists Otto
Hahn and Fritz Strassmann. The enormous energy released when uranium atom splits was enough to
power a bomb and two other findings in 1940 and 1941 had established the bomb was achievable and
practical and the building of the bomb was made a priority by the United States. Investigation and

The Life of Carl Friedrich Gauss
Mathematicians have always formed a very important role in history. From the Greeks to the modern
era, mathematicians have made spectacular discoveries and critical contributions to the world of
mathematics. Because of great mathematicians, the human race is exploring and discovering unknown
boundaries of space and technology. The life of Carl Friedrich Gauss was full of phenomenal
adventures and discoveries. He was born in Brunswick, Germany on April 30th, 1777 to poor working
class parents. Gauss father was known as a hard worker and an honest man but heavily discouraged
Gauss from attending school to follow a family trade. On the other hand, Gauss mother and uncle
recognized his remarkable intelligence at an early age. Gauss intelligence was so powerful that one
day at the age ten solved the problem that his arithmetic instructor gave him with one number, 5,050.
The simple math problem for Gauss was to write all whole numbers between one and 100 and add up
their sum. Furthermore, he first went to college at the age of fourteen and was financially sustained by
Carl Wilhelm Ferdinand who was the Duke of Brunswick. While studying language at Caroline
College, he discovered that a regular polygon with seventeen sides could be drawn with a compass
and a straight edge. He was so impressed with his discovery that he turned to study mathematics.
Mathematics composed a vital part of the life of Friedrich Gauss. All of his contributions and

The Importance Of Mentoring
Criminologist James Fox of Northeastern University predicts that murders committed by teens will

To be a good mentor you have to have great qualities like being helpful and being really good at
giving good constructive criticism. Whomever you re mentoring should receive information that is
both positive and negative. You want to makes sure you give pros and cons so that your mentee can
learn from them. (Patterson) Some social activities that you can do in mentoring programs include
talking about life experiences, having lunch together, and visiting the mentor s home for a bonding

to be a waste of money, they are beneficial to girls because they prevent peer pressure, diseases, and
pregnancies; encourage girls to be more mannerable, respectful, and ladylike; and results in kids being
more likely to graduate high school and attend college. Mentoring is necessary to a healthy society

The, The American Academy Of Environmental Medicines Essay
Breck Erickson Based on animal research with GM (genetically modified) foods, the American
Academy of Environmental Medicines (AAEM), an international organization of physicians, says that
there are serious health risks associated with eating GM foods. for these reasons we should not allow
farmers to use GM products (2011, Smith). Based on many studies there are very many reasons to ban
GMOs (Genetically Mortified Organisms). Although there are a few positive effects to GMOs like not
having to spray the fields with different herbicides and pesticides, there are also many unfavorable
reasons to use and ban GMOs. These include slight differences in yields, the inability to track GMOs
in sugars, and the negative health effects. On reason to ban the use of GMOs is because they don t
make much of a difference in yields of the crops that are being grown. According to Melissa Diane
Smith (2011) an expert in nutrition and known for her work in the Better Nutrition magazine Despite
20 years of research and 13 years of commercialization, genetic engineering has failed to significantly
increase the U.S. crop yields, according to a 2009 Union of Centered Scientists report. (2011). Smith
says that with years of research and studies there has been little increase in the yields of the GM
products compared to non GM products. The lack of increase is not worth the side effects of these GM
products (para 11). Patrick B. Massey (2014) a MD, and PH.D at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network

College Is Not For Everyone
College Is Not for Everyone
Joseph G. Valencia
Hudson County Community College
April 24, 2015 Bibliography with Summary
Many people believe that education is the key to success. Hoping that if people finished college, they
will land a good and stable job. Precisely, college degree has a huge positive impact for most people
because employers will look at employees education and experience in their resumes to exceed their
expectations. However, college is ineffective to some people yet many of them become successful in
life. Typical example is the governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker who was re elected twice from 2010
and 2014. He deliberated the top tier potential presidential candidate despite not having college degree
(Koplowitz, 2014). Furthermore, he is currently using his life experience and ability to take advantage
in the campaign. Talent, skill, and intellect are among the most important characteristics of individuals
to become successful. Moreover, many young people join the military after high school to serve the
country and save up money for future references such as going back to school or starting it as a career.
Therefore, it is very significant for everyone if college is really for them or not because college can

Essay about Coyote And Don Maclean
Allegory of American Pie by Don McLean
A Piece of the quot;Pie quot;
Ask anyone what was the defining moment in the rock history of the 1960s was and all you will get is
a one word answer: Woodstock. The three day rock festival that defined an era was only one of many
music festivals of the
60s. But Woodstock has come to symbolize, quot;an era of peaceful, free loving, drug taking hippie
youth, carefree before harsher realities hit... quot;
(Layman 40). The Woodstock festival ended a century filled with many metamorphoses of rock n roll,
from the era of pop music to the rebirth of folk music to the invention of acid rock. But some cynics
say that rock n roll died with the death of Buddy Holly before the 60s even began.
One such ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Holly was on tour with a collection of performers, and he wanted to fly to the next stop instead of
taking the bus.
He chartered a plane and a pilot to fly him and two others to Fargo, North
Dakota (Verse 1). Originally it was to be Holly, Waylon Jennings, and
Tommy Allsup. But J.P. Richardson ( quot; The Big Bopper quot;) talked Jennings into giving him his
seat and Allsup lost his seat to Richie Valens ( quot;La
Bamba quot;) on a coin toss (Jordan). The pilot, Roger Peterson, was a visual pilot, and not certified to
fly an instrument plane flight. But on the night of
February 3, 1959 the plane when up during a flurry. The pilot lost control and while he believed he
was steering up, the plane went straight down.
When the plane crashed all four men died instantly (Jordan). The day that the plane crash henceforth
became known as quot; The day the music died quot;.
The chorus in American Pie is the main theme of the song. American Pie is the pure American art of
rock and roll. The Chevy is the icon of America.
The levee is the source of music and since the decline of original rock and roll, there is no water (or
talent) in the levee: it s dry. quot; This ll be the day that
I die, quot; was taken from a Buddy Holly song entitled quot; That ll be the Day quot; and a line in the
chorus read, quot; That ll be the day that I die, quot; (Kulawiec).
The next verse of American Pie, McLean demonstrates what happened after Holly s death. The birth
of teen idols such

Analysis Of The BBC Real Estate Programme
The BBC started in 2001 a programme aimed to reduce the size of its property estate, in line with their
strategy to offer the licence fee payers better value for money. This report seeks to analyse how the
BBC managed its real estate programme and if the management benchmarks with the framework for
large capital programme management offered by ____. Lessons learnt from this programme will be
extracted, and it will be assessed whether the BBC is ultimately working towards its Value for Money
and Quality First Strategy, through the implementation of its estate programme.
1. INTRODUCTION (335)
The British Broadcasting Corporation also known as the BBC, is one of the oldest public broadcasting
companies in the world. Funding its operation mainly through licence fees paid by the public
(Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2016), the BBC and its Trust have the responsibility of spending public
funds efficiently and ensuring public value and appeal (BBC Trust, 2016).
Throughout its history the BBC has attempted to become more cost effective. Since the launch of the
producer choice strategy in 1993 (Felix, 2000), it has been argued that to achieve this they have
battled not only the issues of managerial bureaucracy (Harris et al., 2006), but also the inherent costs
of adapting its infrastructure to new broadcasting technologies (Wegg Prosser, 2001).
In a more recent stride and following the guidance from the BBC Governors and internal auditors, the
BBC set new strategic objectives in

The Campylobacter Report
It is believed that the first report about Campylobacter was back in 1886 by Escherich who observed
and described non culturable corkscrew shaped bacteria isolated from the colonic contents of infants
who had died as a result of cholera infantum (Escherich, 1886; Skirrow and Butzler, 2000; King and
Adams, 2008; Vandamme et al., 2010). Campylobacter identified for the first time in 1906 by John
McFadyean and Stewart Stockman, who reported the presence of large numbers of a peculiar
organism in the uterine mucus of a pregnant sheep (Skirrow, 2006; Zilbauer et al., 2008). After this in
1913, McFadyean and Stockman isolate these microorganisms from aborted bovine fetuses and
successfully cultured for the first time (McFadyean and Stockman, ... Show more content on

Later in 1947, Vicent and his associates isolate the bacteria from pregnant women (Vincent et al.,
1947; Zilbauer et al., 2008).It was not until the 1950 s that Elizabeth King first suggested these vibrios
could be associated with the human enteric disease. King cultured them from the blood of infected
individuals and was the first to study this human disease causing Vibrio species in depth (King, 1957).
She observed that they grew at a distinctly higher optimum temperature than the other vibrios they
were grouped with and referred to this subgroup as related vibrios (King, 1957). Sebald and Véron
formally separated these related vibrios from the Vibrionaceae family and proposed the genus name
Campylobacter (Greek meaning, a curved rod) in 1963 (Sebald Véron, 1963). The differences which
lead to this separation were their requirement for microaerophilic growth conditions, the DNA being
of a low guanine and cytosine base composition, their non fermentative metabolism and their elevated
optimum growth temperature (Sebald Véron,

Abe Lincoln Research Paper
Abraham Lincoln was considered by many American s as one of the greatest Presidents of the United
States. Having come from humble beginnings it could be said that Abraham Lincoln rose up to meet
all the challenges that would greet him, and it could be argued that at the time the only person who
could successfully guide the United States through the Civil War was Abraham Lincoln. At the time of
his presidency, the United States was falling apart, with the South trying to secede from the North,
creating much chaos that Lincoln had to deal with. He worked slowly and throughly, which sometimes
got people agitated but he was a very careful working man and knew that it was better if he took his
time. Abraham Lincoln was not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2 Lincoln felt as though African Americans were not equal to the white people, but he believed that all
men were created with certain rights. In 1857, the Supreme Court issued its controversial decision
Scott v. Sanford, declaring African Americans were not citizens and had no inherent rights. 3 This act
influenced Lincoln to stand up and speak out to what he thought was right and wrong, and in 1860,
Abe Lincoln became the President of the United States. Lincoln stands out as a great war president,
probably the greatest in our history, and a great natural strategist, a better one than any of his generals.
4 Lincoln was not a natural strategist, he worked hard to master the subject, just as he had done to
learn how to read and study to become a lawyer, nothing came easy to him and he had to work hard to
achieve whatever he wanted. He had no time to prepare becoming commander in chief, he had to learn
it on the job. Tried By War showed the dilemmas Lincoln had to overcome like, generals disobeying
orders, and the south trying to secede from the north. Lincoln wasn t a master of war, and did a lot of
studying to help him become a great commander in chief. Tried By War tells us how Lincoln had to
gradually overcome the slave issue because if he abolished slavery all at once, he would lose many of
the border states that had slaves, but were on the Union side.

Stojanowski states that he uses a biological approach and population genetic analysis to reconstruct
the biological changes from the 16th and 17th century in La Florida. He says that his approach is
based on the potential contributions to an anthropological study in order to better identify and

Alison Bechdel Sparknotes
I believe that Alison Bechdel used this book as a platform to highlight the various challenges and
issues that some homosexual individuals among others in the LGBTQ community face. She wanted to
allow to the audience to empathise with this community in a different light. In some cases, when
people don t understand the unfamiliar, the tend to fear it. So, with this book, people from a variety of
backgrounds might have discussed the underlying issues in the LGBTQ community using her book.
With this being the starting point, some individuals, such as myself, were able to do some indepth
research about the LGBTQ community and understand it better. I am not really fond of graphic

parents didn t act like a married couple, he trusted her enough to tell that deep of a secret to her. I feel
like she betrayed him even though he also betrayed her multiple times. That is not a secret a mother
should tell her children about their father. However, it also seems like the mother was blaming the
homosexuality on the molestation. Maybe that was her way of dealing with his unfaithfulness
especially with young men.
There are many instances where they show Bruce looking at young teenagers, or even interacting with
them. Her mother ignored the behavior and Alison, in the future, just didn t fully address his behavior.
The first instance was when Bruce looked at the altar boy and her mother just rolled her eyes at him.
Then Alison had a narration stating But would an ideal husband and father have sex with teenage
boys? (pg.17). It was quite a telling scene about her mother s attitude towards her father. She was
willing to let her husband prey after young boys instead of protecting them. It also surprised me how
hypocritical Bruce was. On their trip to New York, when John wandered off, Bruce was extremely
alarmed and he mentioned a phrase Chickenhawks . Elly defined them as men that prey on boys. This
shows that Alison was aware of his pedophilic ways but in a way chose to ignore them.

Power Of Magic In A Midsummer Night s Dream
The Power of Magic in A Midsummer Night s Dream One of the most important elements of
Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is the contrast between the real world and a world lived
in by fairies, and other magical beings and forces. Magic is a powerful and useful tool for the
characters that can use it. Some characters abuse the power of magic, while others are more
responsible in how they use it. Shakespeare plays with the boundaries between fantasy and reality.
Like the reality and illusion and the mirrored world of fair and human. He looks at into man s conflict
with characteristics of human behavior. A Midsummer Night s Dream contains many supernatural
elements for example magic and transformation. Oberon is one of the characters that abuse the power
of magic. Oberon is the King of the Fairies, his magic affects his own life, and the lives of other
characters and everyone experience his magic differently. Oberon is married to Titania, Queen of the
Fairies, who got an Indian boy from her friend who passed away. Oberon desperately wants the Indian
boy to be one of his followers, but the boy is one of Titania followers and she will not give him up.
This is when Oberon decides to use magic so he could win the Indian boy. Oberon uses the magic of a

with low tariffs to ship products out.
Recommendation 2: To put in place job descriptions for employees. By doing this it will save Nucor
litigation fees and troubles if something arises in the workplace between the employee and Nucor
about job duties, injuries, etc.
Recommendation 3: Other than expanding internationally, Nucor should make joint ventures with

good idea for Nucor to utilize that to reduce costs of making their products.

Another recommendation that I have for Nucor is instead of buying existing plant capacity, make new
plants elsewhere or form a joint venture with a supplier to help save money. (Exhibit 3) This would
decrease cost of supplies so they would have the extra money to build elsewhere or build a ne plant.
By using the SWOT analysis (Exhibit 1) it let me break up Nucor into different parts to see what their
strengths and weaknesses are. Nucor is solid with technology and treating the employees correct but
the weaknesses that affect Nucor are more market based with some internal problems. Nucor has
products for many different industries including automotive and housing. This can cause issues for
Nucor if those industries take a fall, which they have over the last 5 years. It s a good idea to be in
these industries but Nucor has to realize what can happen to sales and revenues when one or both of
those industries take a fall. Nucor has been expanding more in the United States, recently just building
a plant in Louisiana (Exhibit 5). This plant will be a 750 million dollar purchase and will be a mill for
pig iron. Nucor is expanding all over the United States but needs more presence internationally plan

The Analysis of the Human Fingerprints Essays
Fingerprints begin to form in the tenth week of pregnancy. This process of fingerprint creation occurs
in the basal layer of the womb. The basal layer is the layer in which new cells are produced for the
fetus. To create the fingerprints, the basal layer crumples and folds in different directions. This is what
creates the different shapes in everyone s fingerprints. In addition, in this process, an outer layer of
skin is formed to protect the fingerprints. Because of this outer layer of skin, the pattern of the
fingerprint cannot be permanently destroyed or altered. The only exception to this is a lifetime of a
hobby or job, where your fingerprints are being affected. In addition, fingerprints are left on surfaces

Although the topic of the minimum points of similarity is often debated, the commonly used minimum
is eight to sixteen ridge similarities. This lack of a universal minimum can lead to many errors and
false positives in fingerprint analysis. Even though fingerprints are unique to the person, there have
been recorded similarities between people. For example, Israeli examiners found two different people
who shared different points of similarities in their fingerprints. Still, the FBI prefers to leave this
number up to the examiners because of the variety of conditions that the fingerprints are in. Based on
the surface, there can be many distortions made. These distortions can be made during the transfer of
the fingerprint or because of conditions that existed before hand. There are many different types of
conditions that can alter a fingerprint. Before being placed on the surface, a fingerprint can be altered
based on the health of the skin, the types of residues on the skin. In addition, the fingerprint can be
affected by things such as your age, gender, job, or even diseases. The surfaces conditions also come
into play when leaving behind fingerprints. The material of the surface affects the fingerprint, as well
as the temperature, surface residues, and the curvature of the surface. These effects can lead to false
positives and other errors in fingerprint analysis because these distortions make there be less of the

With research, one can find the demographic portrait of users throughout technology.
Popescu (2013) gives an easy to follow infographic that tells us the type of people who use certain
networking sites, social media most often used by adults and a few interesting facts pertaining to age
and social media. With that being said, when it comes to targeting an audience through technology, it s
possible to be approaching the situation from all the wrong angles. One could be using a site to target
men in their forties when it is primarily used by women in their teens and twenties.
Seniors have proven to be a growing demographic in the world of technology in which they find cell
phones and computers as beneficial ways of communication. And, of course, the demographic
contributes to the continued use of healthy, security and home safety technology
(Orlov, 2011). Technology isn t limited to a single specific demographic, it is constantly evolving

and becoming a primary source of communication for the community. Being able to connect to an
audience through technology is to be connecting to the world and all the different people it has to

Technology of all kinds are being used by the diverse people of today. From teens to seniors, the
ability to connect with such a wide range of people is something that can only be accomplished via
technology. It is something to utilize, something to take

Analysis Of Why Social Comparison Is Better Than Self-Esteem
comparison is not good if one is just trying to gain a sense of superiority or avoiding challenging
himself to do better. In order to be at a comfortable level of self esteem one must be able to uplift
himself without the influence of others. Also, one s reaction to social comparison can vary depending
if the person feels inferior or superior to the other person. Ergo, depending on one s own perception of
self worth is more reliable because it is always consistent. Mirroring the concept that self esteem
based off of social comparison is unreliable, Olga Khazan offers another solution for when one s self
esteem seems to be distorted in the article, Why Self Compassion Works Better Than Self Esteem

the negative impact of low self esteem, Hamblin recommends gratitude while Blackburn and Khazan
propose self compassion. I agree that encompassing both traits is important and believe that a blend of
these two work best instead of one standing alone, or viewing self esteem as unchangeable. I
understand Khazan s perceptive that self esteem may fail, but we can t rule it out as if it doesn t exist.
Perhaps, the better alternative is to constantly approach one s own self esteem with gratitude and self

  • 2. Al Minor Associates, Inc. V. Martin Case Summary Robert Martin was sued for misappropriation of trade secrets in the case of Al Minor Associates, Inc. vs Martin, in the state of Ohio. The facts of the case are as follows: Robert Martin, a former employee of Al Minor Associates, formed his own company in 2003, offering the same services as Al Minor Associates. He did so while still employed at the company. This means that Robert, who was hired in 1998, still had access to its customer files and sensitive account information belonging to Al Minor .Associates, while forming his own business to compete with them. He proceeded to memorize customer information, that he then used in his own business, once he resigned from Al Minor Associates in 2004. Robert solicited fifteen of Al Minor s clients for business. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The trial court in Ohio ruled in favor of Al Minor .Associates and awarded them $25,973 for a violation of the Trade Secret Act. The Franklin County Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court s ruling stating that, a client list such as the one at issue fits the statutory definition of a trade secret under R.C. 1333.61(D), AMA s memorized client list warrants trade secret status (Strobel). Martin appealed to the Supreme Court of Ohio, claiming that his memory cannot be the basis for a trade secret violation and that the appellate court s decision overly restricted his right to compete in business against Al Minor .Associates (Strobel). The Supreme Court of Perone 2 Ohio upheld the appellate court s decision stating that information that constitutes a trade secret pursuant to statute does not lose its character as a trade secret if it has been memorized ... • 3. Why Death So Much It Feels More Like A Memory I consider my own mortality quite often. There is a lyric in the musical Hamilton that reads, I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory. When is it going to get me? In my sleep, several feet ahead of me? I remember first hearing this lyric and feeling that it was the only words outside of my own thoughts I had connected with in a long while. Over the past few years, I have been forced to reckon with my own mortality more than I believe useful. I have witnessed much death throughout these past couple of years, and I have not always known what to do with it with the grief, the sorrow, the loss, or the transience. I constantly feel the impending doom that is my impermanence. I know death is a part of life I am very painfully aware of this fact. I know that I will someday die, but what is it that I will leave behind? Will I leave anything behind? I m a filmmaker, a photographer, a musician I have projects that I am very proud of. But the question still rings in my ears: Have I done anything valuable? And what does the world consider valuable? Is their value the same as mine? I find that I do not know how to shake these questions from my attentions. I grew up in a Christian community, believing that if you were baptized and maintained the Bible s standards, then you were saved and being saved meant heaven after death. However, after one of my best friends passed away, I began to question mortality, as well as death as a whole. Exactly how strict is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Bronchogenic Cysts Research Paper INTRODUCTION: Bronchogenic cysts are formed due to abnormal budding of bronchial tree. They are lined by respiratory epithelium. They are not air filled as they do not commonly communicate with the bronchial tree. They are filled with fluid containing proteins, blood products and calcium oxalate. One third are located in the lung parenchyma and two third are located in the mediastinum. 40 to 50% of all congenital cysts in the thorax are bronchogenic cysts. On CT scans they appear as round mass with attenuation similar to soft tissue or water. Symptoms arise only when the cyst compresses surrounding structures. Most cysts are asymptomatic. We present a case of a young lady who presented with an incidentally detected cavitory lesion on routine ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The age of the patient, non‑smoker status, absence of emphysema or abnormality suggesting a previous tuberculosis insult lessens the possibility of a bulla. Cystic bronchiectasis is unlikely considering the solitary nature, lower lobe location and lack of recurrent lung infections. Treatment for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients is surgical resection. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice in all patients including those who are asymptomatic considering the risk of recurrent infections. If CCAM is detected antenatally or at birth, surgical resection is done between 1 and 6 months of age as the scope for compensatory lung growth after resection is much better in infants compared to adults. The standard therapy has been a posterolateral thoracotomy or median sternotomy with intrapulmonary cysts requiring segmental or lobar resection. Using the scale of the moon and details of the surface of the planet, it was successfully communicated how far the ship was from the ground. This sequence could have easily been shot straightforward and would lack any excitement or dynamic. Johnston successfully create an interesting sequence through varying the camera height and angle throughout the decent. The light colored Millennium Falcon is always overlapping with some part of the dark void of space in each frame, causing it to be the focal point of all shots. The texture of the planet becomes more recognizable as the ship moves closer to the surface, communicating the changing distance between the ship and the planet. In addition to lack of surface detail in the first 4 frames, the shape repetition changes from circular to organic and abstract. This is a successful sequence due to the use of shape, value, and detail to communicate to the viewer the story of the Millennium Falcon landing on a planet. Two different sequences of two frames each, use similar techniques to communication the story. Both sequences use the framing element of foreground environment and foreground figures to push focus to what characters are looking at in the middle and backgrounds. In the top set, the figures are looking at the vehicle in the bottom right corner of the first panel. Based on many studies there are very many reasons to ban GMOs (Genetically Mortified Organisms). Although there are a few positive effects to GMOs like not having to spray the fields with different herbicides and pesticides, there are also many unfavorable reasons to use and ban GMOs. These include slight differences in yields, the inability to track GMOs in sugars, and the negative health effects. On reason to ban the use of GMOs is because they don t make much of a difference in yields of the crops that are being grown. Lincoln stands out as a great war president, probably the greatest in our history, and a great natural strategist, a better one than any of his generals. 4 Lincoln was not a natural strategist, he worked hard to master the subject, just as he had done to learn how to read and study to become a lawyer, nothing came easy to him and he had to work hard to achieve whatever he wanted. He had no time to prepare becoming commander in chief, he had to learn it on the job. Tried By War showed the dilemmas Lincoln had to overcome like, generals disobeying orders, and the south trying to secede from the north. Lincoln wasn t a master of war, and did a lot of studying to help him become a great commander in chief. Tried By War tells us how Lincoln had to gradually overcome the slave issue because if he abolished slavery all at once, he would lose many of the border states that had slaves, but were on the Union side. ... Christopher Stojanowski Summary The first article, The Bioarchaeology of Identity in Spanish Colonial Florida: Social and Evolutionary Transformation Before, During, and After the Demographic Collapse, by Christopher M. Stojanowski, Stojanowski states that he uses a biological approach and population genetic analysis to reconstruct the biological changes from the 16th and 17th century in La Florida. He says that his approach is based on the potential contributions to an anthropological study in order to better identify and construct transformations in La Florida (Stojanowski 2005: 417). I feel like she betrayed him even though he also betrayed her multiple times. That is not a secret a mother should tell her children about their father. However, it also seems like the mother was blaming the homosexuality on the molestation. Maybe that was her way of dealing with his unfaithfulness especially with young men. There are many instances where they show Bruce looking at young teenagers, or even interacting with them. Her mother ignored the behavior and Alison, in the future, just didn t fully address his behavior. The first instance was when Bruce looked at the altar boy and her mother just rolled her eyes at him. Then Alison had a narration stating But would an ideal husband and father have sex with teenage boys? (pg.17). It was quite a telling scene about her mother s attitude towards her father. She was willing to let her husband prey after young boys instead of protecting them. It also surprised me how hypocritical Bruce was. On their trip to New York, when John wandered off, Bruce was extremely alarmed and he mentioned a phrase Chickenhawks . Elly defined them as men that prey on boys. This shows that Alison was aware of his pedophilic ways but in a way chose to ignore them. Although she chose to ignore some things ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Power Of Magic In A Midsummer Night s Dream The Power of Magic in A Midsummer Night s Dream One of the most important elements of Shakespeare s A Midsummer Night s Dream is the contrast between the real world and a world lived in by fairies, and other magical beings and forces. Magic is a powerful and useful tool for the characters that can use it. Some characters abuse the power of magic, while others are more responsible in how they use it. Shakespeare plays with the boundaries between fantasy and reality. Like the reality and illusion and the mirrored world of fair and human. He looks at into man s conflict with characteristics of human behavior. A Midsummer Night s Dream contains many supernatural elements for example magic and transformation. By using the SWOT analysis (Exhibit 1) it let me break up Nucor into different parts to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. The basal layer is the layer in which new cells are produced for the fetus. To create the fingerprints, the basal layer crumples and folds in different directions. This is what creates the different shapes in everyone s fingerprints. In addition, in this process, an outer layer of skin is formed to protect the fingerprints. Because of this outer layer of skin, the pattern of the fingerprint cannot be permanently destroyed or altered. This lack of a universal minimum can lead to many errors and false positives in fingerprint analysis. Even though fingerprints are unique to the person, there have been recorded similarities between people. For example, Israeli examiners found two different people who shared different points of similarities in their fingerprints. Still, the FBI prefers to leave this number up to the examiners because of the variety of conditions that the fingerprints are in. Based on the surface, there can be many distortions made. These distortions can be made during the transfer of the fingerprint or because of conditions that existed before hand. There are many different types of conditions that can alter a fingerprint.
