Culture Of India Essay
Crafting an essay on the cultural tapestry of India is a multifaceted endeavor that demands
careful consideration, extensive research, and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter.
India, with its rich history, diverse traditions, and multifarious customs, presents a vast and
intricate landscape for exploration.
The difficulty in writing such an essay arises from the sheer breadth of topics that fall under the
umbrella of Indian culture. From ancient philosophies and classical arts to modern Bollywood
influences and contemporary societal dynamics, attempting to encapsulate the essence of India's
cultural identity requires a delicate balance.
One must navigate through the labyrinth of religious diversity, linguistic variations, and regional
distinctions that define India. Each region unfolds its own unique cultural narrative, and
synthesizing these diverse elements into a cohesive essay poses a significant challenge.
Moreover, delving into India's cultural evolution over the centuries involves meticulous research
to avoid oversimplification or misrepresentation. The historical layers, cultural amalgamations,
and the dynamic nature of Indian society demand a nuanced approach to capture the essence
accurately.
Language itself becomes both a tool and a challenge. Selecting the right words to convey the
vibrancy of Indian culture without succumbing to clichГ©s or oversimplifications requires a
keen linguistic sensibility.
While the task is undoubtedly daunting, it is also rewarding. Unraveling the tapestry of India's
culture unveils a world of captivating stories, vibrant traditions, and a deep-rooted sense of
identity. However, it demands not only a profound appreciation for cultural diversity but also an
ability to distill complex information into a coherent and engaging narrative.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the culture of India is a formidable task that demands
diligence, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to presenting a holistic perspective. Despite its
challenges, the process offers a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the intricacies of
one of the world's most diverse and culturally rich nations.

The Role Of Centralized Policies On The State Capacities
This part explains the centralized policies with focus on the state capacities, which is
the vital factor of developmental states model, and emphasizes on implications of the
centralization for resource rich developmental states. The initial stage of the
extractive industry demands the centralization in which the governmentexerts the
strong state capacities, such as abilities to autonomously have its policyownership
(e.g. design and implement industrial policies), to efficiently mobilize resources and
to rationally allocate revenues from the resources to more productive sectors in a
given society (Arellano Yanguas and MejГa Acosta, 2014). Such a state led
development often results from political leadership based on a strong ideology called
developmentalism and requires the trained and efficient bureaucracy to devise
national development schemes and implement relevant legal frameworks (Reinert,
2010).
In addition to the capacities of setting up development plans, the successful
development in resource based economy depends on their ability to save all or part
of the revenues from the extractive industries (Lewin, 2011). Since the non
renewable resources are destined to be depleted in the future, the mineral wealth is
limited, and it means the state should save the revenues as much as possible to
prepare for the future depletion (Lange and Wright, 2002). Moreover, the natural
resources tend to have volatile prices, so the countries need to stabilize the income, for
Week One Study Guide Anatomy and Physiology Essay
WEEK 1: AN INTRODUCTION TO HUMAN ANATOMY PHYSIOLOGY
1. Define the terms anatomy and physiology, and explain their relationship using an
example of a human structure with its corresponding function. Anatomy: The branch
of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other
organisms, esp. as revealed by dissection. Physiology: The branch of biology that
deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts. Anatomy and
physiology are connected in the way of not being able to understand one without the
other. For example, to understand your lungs functions of breathing through
physiology, you have to understand the parts and structure of them (anatomy) such as

different body parts using these terms (i.e. the elbow is proximal to the wrist).
Anterior: (In front of, front) The toes are anterior to the heel when you look
straight at a body. Posterior: (After, behind, following, toward the rear) The lungs
are posterior to the ribcage. Distal: (Away from, farther from the origin) The skull
is distal from the pelvic bone. Proximal: (Near, closer to the origin) The nose is
proximal to the mouth. Dorsal: (Near the upper surface, toward the back) Your
spine is dorsal. Ventral: (Toward the bottom, toward the belly) The intestines have
a ventral location. Superior: (Above, over) The elbow is superior to the pelvic

Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis has been at the center of the film world long enough that there could
easily be twice this many interesting facts about the actor. That being said, here s part
two of the list...
Number Nine: He Had Some Strange Jobs Before Acting. While he tried to find
success in the acting world, Bruce Willis has a security guard, a factory employee
and even a private investigator.
Number Eight: He Was a Spokesperson for Seagram While He Struggled with His
Own Drinking. In the 80 s, the actor could be seen in advertisements for Seagrams
Wine Coolers of all the possible endorsements, why those? At the same time, the actor
was struggling to manage his own drinking habits.
Number Seven: Little Richard Was the Minister at His First Wedding.... Show more

It is hard to believe, since this is the role that made him who he is today. But he
might still be working as a private investigator if Arnold Schwarzenegger and
Sylvestor Stallone hadn t rejected the role.
Number Five: He Was Arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer. The officer came to
his mom in 1987 after the police were called in response to a noise complaint. All the
charges were eventually dropped.
Number Four: He s Done with Violence in Movies. After years as one of the
reigning stars of violent action films, Bruce Willis has renounced his gun toting past
and is swearing off acting in any violent movies.
Number Three: He Co Founded Planet Hollywood. The restaurant was started with
the money of himself, along with Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester
Stallone.
Number Two: He Supported the War in Iraq. Bruce Willis may not advocate violence
in movies any longer, but that didn t stop him from endorsing one of the most
unpopular foreign policy decisions in United States history.
Number One: He Offered $1 Million for the Capture of Saddam Hussein. Which, it
turns out, is not legal. Saddam was captured, of course, but no one got paid by Bruce

Butler County is a predominately Caucasian county, located north of Pittsburgh, in
Western Pennsylvania. The culture of Butler County is shaped by the limited
diversity of the area. Much of the population residing in Butler County are also
somewhere between the ages of 18 and 65 (Census Bureau 2015). The social conflict
approach is a framework for building theory that sees society as an arena of inequality
that generates conflict and change (Macionis). Even though society is becoming
more diverse and accepting towards other races and nationalities, Butler County, like
everywhere else, still has trouble with race issues. Comparing Butler County to
Allegheny County, Butler is composed of 96.3 percent white individuals, ... Show

The varying ages have different interpretations of symbols. Acknowledging the
broad age range of 18 to 65, one would realize that there would be different interests
of a young college student compared to a professor getting close to retirement. The
Symbolic Interaction Approach is a framework for building theory that sees society
as the product of the everyday interactions of individuals (Macionis 18). Every
human has symbols which they often associate with other certain objects or place.
One example of symbolic interaction is social media. Most adolescents use social
media to be cool, adults use it to keep in touch with acquaintances, and the elderly
think that social media is a waste of time. Another example could be going to
Alameda Park. Alameda is a park located in Butler Pennsylvania. Children go to
Alameda park for thrill and excitement, parents go to see the happiness their
children experience, while elderly people may reconcile the memories they had as a
child. Since a society is defined as a people who live in a defined territory and share a
way of life , different age groups could potentially be a part of separate societies
(Macionis 3). Eventually, the older generation will have disappeared in Butler
County and more liberal views will be installed upon. With the baby boomer

Limewater Test Lab Report
1. Limewater Test: As we exhaled CO2 in the limewater solution, the CO2 reacted
with Ca(OH)2 and changed the clear colorless limewater solution to precipitated
white solution. The precipitation was caused due to the calcium in the limewater
solution. It took us 5 attempts to turn the clear colorless limewater solution to a milky
white solution. 2. Phenolphthalein Indicator Test: As phenolphthalein indicator was
added to NaOH and H2O solution, it made the solution turn clear pink. The
phenolphthalein indicator detects the presence of the base in the solution by
changing the color of the solution from clear colorless to clear pink. As we exhaled
into the pink solution, the CO2 reacted with the NaOH and H2O solution. This
makes the solution... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Phenolphthalein Indicator Test: CO2 (g) + H2O(l) H2CO3(aq) H2CO3(aq) +
2NaOH(aq) Na2CO3(aq) + 2H2O(l) How would the results of both tests be
affected if you performed the tests immediately after vigorously exercising for
several minutes? Explain. Performing vigorous exercise requires a high demand of
energy in order to be accomplished, the body adapts to this change by increasing the
rate of aerobic cellular respiration which would produce more energy to meet the
needs. As a result there would be much more carbon dioxide being exhaled from
the body as it is one of the waste products produced during aerobic cellular
respiration. CO2 is specifically formed during the Pyruvate oxidation and Kreb
Cycle stage of the cellular respiration. To exemplify during pyruvate oxidation one
of the steps is a decarboxylation reaction in which the carboxyl group of pyruvate
is removed to from CO2. Overall for one glucose molecule two molecules of CO2
is released during pyruvate oxidation as glycolysis yields two pyruvate molecules.
Furthermore the Krebs Cycle also produces CO2 molecules during the oxidation
of isocitrate which produces a ketoglutarate. Another CO2 molecule is also
produced during the oxidation of a ketoglutarate. This reaction produces the
molecule succinyl CoA. As a result two CO2 molecules are produced for one
acetyl CoA. These points exemplify how the increase rate of cellular respiration
would increase the rate of CO2 being exhaled. In connection to the lab
investigation this would speed up the rate of reactions as there would be a much
higher concentration of CO2 being exhaled compared to when the body is at rest.
As a result this would increase the amount of product being produced because of the
increase of CO2 in the reaction. Due to which the lab experiment would occur at a
higher rate and it would be faster as
Business And Marketing Strategies Of Major Airways
Introduction Major Airways is a U.S. airline, headquartered in Pittsburg, PA. The
airline was established in May 2016. We are centrally located to service all major
east coast cities from Boston to Charlotte. Market factors favor inauguration of a
new airline to meet the demand for additional, higher quality passenger service
linking the East coast with the rapidly expanding markets. Major Airways will base
its business and marketing strategies on achieving high, and profitable, load factors
through absorption of unmet demand in three key air traffic categories: unserved and
under served routes on which high unmet demand currently exists or can be readily
developed; serving key niche markets where demand is either... Show more content

Gender Bending in Antony and Cleopatra
Antony and Cleopatra is a fable about the destructive duality of Antony s character.
Shakespeare uses gender bending as a device to portray Antony s transformation
from Roman to Egyptian. This transformation causes constant conflict between
Antony the Roman defined by empire and duty and Antony the Egyptian defined by
folly and lust. This duality finally proves to be fatal. Antony and Cleopatra is one
of Shakespeare s Roman plays. It is a tragedy about Antony one of the triumvirates
who rule the world who falls in love with, and has an affair with Cleopatra the
seductive queen of Egypt. Throughout the whole of the play Antony is caught in a
tug of war between Antony the lover and Antony the leader. The two different worlds

Knowing that Antony is stronger on land Octavius challenges him by sea and out
of pride Antony accepts the challenge, but then he makes a decision even more
foolish, he allows Cleopatra to join the battle of Actium. Cleopatra now gets the
masculine authority she has been seeking. Enobarbus knows how foolish this
decision is, but Cleopatra insists on staying. ENOBARBUS Your presence needs
must puzzle Antony, Take from his heart, take from his brain, from s time, Which
should not be spare d. (3.7.10 13) CLEOPATRA I will not stay behind (3.7.19)
Enobarbus knows that Cleopatra s presence at the battle will cloud Antony s
judgement. As soon as the two sides of the battle are closely matched, Cleopatra
flees and Antony follows. This costs him the battle. Antony has once again
neglected his duty and dishonoured himself by surrendering to Cleopatra s force.
He is shamed and feels that his reputation has been destroyed: O, wither thou has
led me Egypt? See, how I convey my shame out of thine eyes, by looking back
what I have left behind; Story d in dishonour (3.11.51 4). Antony admits that he lost
himself in his lust for Cleopatra by saying: You did know how much you were my
conqueror, and that my sword, made weak by my affection, would obey it on all
cause (3.11.65 8). Again there is a reference to his sword a symbol of his lost Roman
identity. After this disastrous battle Antony realises that

Trauma On Personality Development
General Overview
There is a need to examine the literature to grasp a better understanding how trauma
can impact the development of personality disorders, as well as how people who
have personality disorders respond to trauma. However, research on Posttraumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD) comorbidity has usually been retrospective and focused
mainly on the prevalence of other primary psychiatric (Axis I) diagnoses and not
personality disorders (Axis 2) (according to the DSM IV), even over ten years later
(Dunn, Yanasak, Schillaci, Simotas, Rehm, Souchek, Hamilton, 2004; Bollinger,
Riggs, Blake, Ruzek, 2000). The purpose of our project is to examine how trauma
impacts the development of personality disorders and how individuals with
personality disorders respond to trauma. Thus we pose two research questions:
How do personality disorders develop from trauma?
How do people with different personality disorders respond to trauma?
Limitations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The limited research regarding PTSD and personality disorders has primarily focused
on individuals with military experience, classifying as veterans. Important to note, the
present research has only shown how personality disorders develop from this
population, not how these individuals who had a personality disorder responded to
trauma (our second research question). One could assume, that s because research
and literature has not diagnosed active military personal with a personality disorder

The Ethical Concepts Of Northrop s Total Quality
Management
It is unpromising to comprehend the total quality management phenomenon,
emerging in the twentieth century, and to acknowledge its competitive advantages
and obstacles, unless the underlying philosophy of quality is examined.
Since the time of ancient Greece, quality has been a subject of ethical discussions.
The main contemplator of quality is the first genuine scientist known in the history
Aristotle (Gribbin,2008). The fundamental concepts, enduring the TQM, are cultural
heritage from the contemplators of quality Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas
(Schoengrund, 1996). Although, the epochal difference is fifteen centuries, both
contemplators define quality as goodness (Aristotle, 1967).
Accordingly, Northrop defines quality as an aesthetic continuum , which cannot be
described rather immediately perceived (1947). Aristotle defines also quality as static
and dynamic, therefore the dynamic quality endures Northrop s aesthetic continuum .
The notion of dynamic quality is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This view implies that any change in already established requirements and design
lead to reduction in quality. In that sense, quality is focused to the internal production
control and particularly how to simplify the engineering process. Consequently, this
concept has led to the emerging significance of reliability engineering (Boehm, 1963)
and statistical quality control (Feigenbaum, 1961). To summarise, both techniques are
concentrated on the same goal cost reduction from repairing or reworking defects.
The approach aims to set apart deviations by examining the basic attributes enduring
the product and in that manner to determine any possible failure models. The
examination of possible failure models aims to propose an alternative construction in
order to enhance the reliability, which is measured later by means of statistical
Our Ability to Connect with Nature
Nature is a reality of life. The definition of reality could be everything that cease to
exist in an individual s life. Because reality means something that is neither derivative
nor dependent but exists necessarily, nature should be a part of every individual s
life. As individual human beings, we tend to forget the beauty that naturehas given us
and only see objects and subjects we want to see. Nature has existed since the
beginning of time and the bible story of Adam and Eve may suggest that an
individual came from nature. In the Genesis 2:7, Adam was created by God from
the Earth s dust and Eve was created from Adam s rib. An individual should be able
to connect with nature, because the individual was first created by Earth s dust....

In Selections From Into The Wild, Krakauer speaks about Chris McCandless who
tried to dissociate from society and anything that made life easy. McCandless went in
to the Alaskans wilderness to explore the inner country if his own soul... [But] an
extended stay in the wilderness inevitably directs one attention outward as much
as inward, and it is impossible to live of the land without developing both a subtle
understanding of, and a strong emotional bond with, that land and all it holds
(Krakauer 220). McCandless goal was to create an identity with nature.
McCandless goal was to learn about himself, learn about the land, and form a bond
with it. It was clear that he would feel a strong bond with nature seeing that he was
away from civilization. McCandless was alone with nature and free to make a new
identity. McCandless new identity with nature would be a hunter, brave soul and
courageous. In all three author s writing, they all mention how in order to create an
identity with nature, one must first dissociate themselves from their comfort zones.
Creating an identity with nature is easy but the willingness and determination to
do it is hard. In order to create an identity with nature, an individual has to be
prepared. The comforts of our modern world will not be able to help an individual
understand the struggles of living in the wild. Many people will say that
McCandless was an idiot for going in to the wild, because he was not prepared.
Taking a Look at Molecular Cuisine
Molecular cuisine, a relatively new style of cooking, is taking the world by
surprise and changing the way food is prepared, cooked and looked at. People are
asking a lot of questions such as Is it safe?, What kinds of chemicals are used?,
Who decided to start this whole thing?, How did it start, and when?, and What kind
of equipment do the cooks use? These are all very good questions and the answers
are out there, they just have to be found. Food and science have been combined to
create something extraordinary called molecular cuisine. The question that is
probably going through the reader s head by now is What is it? Well, molecular
cuisine is physics and chemistry applied food to create different flavours, textures
and to amaze the five senses. It is also another way of preparing food to provide
other ways of cookingand to create more possibilities for cooking food. There are
many other names for molecular cuisine such as molecular gastronomy, avant garde
cuisine, experimental cuisine, modern cuisine, and modernist cuisine. The now late
oxford physicist Nicholas Kurtiand French chemist HervГ© This came up with the
term molecular gastronomy for the new style of cooking/science they started
experimenting with back in the 1980 s. People are definitely interested in molecular
cuisine but don t know whether it is safe or not. Some of the chemicals that are used
in molecular cuisine come from natural origins. The material origin in typically plant,
Essay about Dreams Their Analysis
Dreams Their Analysis
The assignment is to recall a dream and analyze it from one or two theoretical
perspectives we ve learned thus far in dream analysis. Dreams have been a vehicle to
express emotions, thoughts and feelings. Sometimes they pose questions which have
been rooted in our conscious. Dreams are personalized works which we have
consciously directed and created in our minds and no one interpretation is right or
wrong. Weeks later upon receiving this assignment I had an incredible dream of my

begging me to help her, but I just stood there frozen in silence and feeling no

Top 10 Major Record Labels Nowadays Essay
Top 10 Major Record Labels Nowadays. Music and Business Music has several
functions in the society, such as the expression of emotions; creation of joy;
communication; entertainment; integration of a society; and the continuity of
culture. These functions of music make music a human need, which results in
humans demanding for music. The human need or demand for music makes music
a valuable item (good). Therefore, humans (artists) create music as a good that can
be sold for revenues and profits. This is how music relates to business. Music is a
good that many people (artists) and business (record labels) are involved in its
production, distribution, and sale for profits. In fact, musicians have to acquire
business skills that will help them manage their public image, organize for tours
and shows, design their merchandise, and build a loyal fan base. This is how music
and business are related. Main Problems Faced by Musicians Music is an industry
that has a number of aspiring artists wishing to be mainstream musicians. The road
from aspirations to the establishment as a mainstream artist is often marred with a
lot of problems. These problems are failure to attract record labels with demos;
failure to have one s songs reviewed in local and national newspapers and
magazines; failure to attract people to one s show; meeting con promoters, who are
not serious about developing one and one s work, and running out of money in the
course one s struggles. Successful aspiring artists
A Streetcar Named Desire Dysfunctional Family
The study spotlights on the familial dysfunctionality as presented in the plays of
Tennessee Williams. The families presented in most of his plays are dysfunctional
because of multiple incompatibilities. A family whose interrelationships serve to
detract from, rather than promote, the emotional and physical health and well being
of its members. Dysfunctional families are characterized by following characteristics
which are blaming or failure of responsibility, loose or rigid rules or relationships,
and set familyrules. Sexual or physical abuse, addiction to alcohol or drugs,
behavior problems, mental diseases, and aggression can all attribute to
dysfunctional families, physical evidence found in The Glass Menagerie, A Cat on

families, and overpowering coincides with psychological symptoms and
characteristics. Like a physical disease, the mental and emotional disease shows
common symptoms, and with these symptoms psychologists can diagnose and chart
the severity of the disease. The most common symptoms are rigid discussion which
may be confused or chaotic, disagreements that offends the members of family, a
disagreeable environment, tight and unshared emotion, a lack of good humor and the
nature to laugh at one s self and disrespect for privacy. The pursuit for a better world

Essay about Gang Leader for a Day
In the book, Gang Leader for a Day, a rogue sociologist passionately dives into the
lives of one of Chicago s toughest housing projects in an attempt to develop an
insight as to how the urban impoverished lived. Throughout the text it becomes clear
that a conflict paradigm is being reflected. A conflict society is based on social
inequality, in which some individuals benefit and thrive more than others, which
tends to lead to conflict and thus change. This is evident both in the housing projects
where a gang known as the Black Kings take over and also in the surrounding
neighborhoods where the more elite citizens, including persons from the authors
university, shy away from associating with the nearby poor black nearby public, thus

Another flawed institution was the Chicago Housing Authority, which demolished
public housing to replace it with recreation (262). Not only did they take away the
only homes the poor had, but also ineffectively relocated them to a community
where they could thrive. One of the main economic problems that many people,
particularly gangs, in Robert Taylor faced was the fact that they didn t want to
trade in their status for entry level jobs because in many cases, gang leaders made
far more than they would have if they worked minimum wage jobs (72). Many of
the gang leaders such as J.T. held the false belief that the drug economy was useful
for the community, since it redistributed the drug addict s money back into the
community via the gang s philanthropy (115). However, the drug economy is not a
stable or lucrative economy compared to your average jobs because it was clearly
very hard for people to get ahead in gangs, thus no one ever had a fair shot of
earning more money in their life span. Nevertheless, the situation can tend to be a
grey area of debate since a lot of the residents did attempt to hold blue collar jobs
but continued to get laid off (60). In this case, the underground economy of drug
sales may have been the only choice for residents looking for an income. Another
way the gangs play into the economic situation is when there are drive by shootings,
in which case parents
Existentialism Essay example
In his 1946 essay Existentialism, Jean Paul Sartre undertakes the task of defending
existentialism against what he defines as charges (341) brought against it. Sartre
begins to outline the charges brought against existentialism and further,
existentialists. Following the medieval quaestio form, Sartre begins with the
statement of the objection, a short discussion, and then his reply to each. The first of
the charges is that of quietism. First, it has been charged with inviting people to
remain in a kind of desperate quietism because, since no solutions are possible, we
should have to consider action in this world as quite impossible (341). Historically,
quietism was a Christian philosophy that advocated withdrawal from worldly... Show

Before I begin to discuss the replies Sartre provides for each objection raised, it is
important to establish what Sartre believes existentialism to be. That is, it is
important to understand exactly what Sartre is defending. Sartre begins his
definition by defining the two groups of existentialists: Christian existentialists and
atheistic existentialists. Sartre aligns himself with the atheistic existentialists for
the remainder of the essay. What the existentialist philosophers have in common,
and where Sartre begins his definition, is the idea that existence precedes essence.
The reader is provided the example of a paper cutter. A designer has a plan for a

Sphinx Of Giza Essay
A lot of people become amazed when they see how majestic the pyramids of Giza
and the Sphinx are. Have people ever thought of how or why those huge
monuments were built? These structures, which had an important role in history,
now become a great form of tourism for Egypt. There are a lot of mysteries
regarding the pyramids and the Sphinx, and many humans may not understand some
of these things. Why is the peak of the Pyramid of Giza not completed? Or why isn
t Khufu s body in his burial chamber? Not all of those questions have a correct
answer. The Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Egypthave existed since thousands of
years ago and were built by Ancient Egyptian Kings mostly to honor and symbolize
themselves. Or do others believe someone else built them and for another reason?
The Great Sphinx of Giza, believed to be a national symbol of Egypt, was built to
honor and symbolize Egypt s King during those times. It was built in the Old
Kingdomnear Cairo in Egypt, during King Khafre s reign. The people believe that
the Sphinx s head contains their King s face, Khafre s. Still other theories suggest
that King Khufu might have been the one to build the Sphinx with his face on its
head. This fierce looking creature is really a combination of the head of a woman and

meant to be his tomb. A lot of underground passages are found inside, with the King

found in his tomb, but it was robbed a long time ago. The pyramid was not finished
since the peak is flat and not pointed. No one knows why, it remains a
Summary Of The Naked Brand By Amy Krajeski
The naked brand documentary highlights the fact that advertising can be more than
a company selling its product to the consumer, but a way to connect with the
consumer to deliver exactly what they want while still making profits. In 2011 there
was a major scandal, the United States Congress invested money in NASCAR army
racing and cut the budget set aside for homeless veterans. Corporations have become
some of the world s biggest economies consuming everything but they fall short in
advertising. Advertising cannot deceive anyone anymore, the trust and belief has
been lost because of social media and the ease of access and information from
consumer experiences. Amy Krajeski is an average consumer who rates everything
she buys. Her reviews
Integrated Marketing Communications Is The Exception...
One of the most talked about ideas in marketing during the 1990s was the notion of
integrated marketing communications (IMC). And while marketing managers still
clearly feel that it is a valuable concept and one that will play an increasingly
important role in their companies, there is unfortunately a great deal of evidence to
suggest that truly integrated marketingcommunications is the exception rather than a
rule
(Percy and Rosenbaum Elliott, 2012)
Introduction
Initial discussions on IMC were based on definitions and theoretical understanding,
and this discussion is still taking place. IMC or Integrated Marketing Communications
according to Schultz (1993) combine and evaluate strategic role of diverse
communications to produce a greater impact. It is a process that produces and applies
different communication programs starting with the customer and work back to
outline right approaches and procedures to progress throughout these influential
programs. Another source sees it as a business process that aims to plan, implement
and assess influential marketing communications over time. There isn t a clear
definition for it, each source rely on a different definition however according to all
found IMC is identified as a strategic process. It s composed of three main basics:
consumer, channels and evaluation of performances. Consumer gives an idea of how
an exchange of information affects message s form and content. Communication
channels analyze each channel in apart to
C. S. Lewis Miracles Essay
In the book Miracles C.S. Lewis discusses what miracles are and challenges the
reader, Christian or not, to think philosophically on how and why they happen. He
uses ideas such as naturalism and supernaturalism to help readers understand the idea
of miracles, but also makes sure to point out that miracles do happen, and they
happen for a reason. That reason being because Godintended them to happen to
maintain control on Earth as well as show his sovereignty. Some people may think
of things being out of control in the world to be riots, an uncontrollable plague, or
even a three year old kid throwing a tantrum, but in reality what if out of control is
anything that has resulted from the fall, anything that God had not intended? C.S.
Lewis states, By definition, miracles must of course interrupt the usual course of
Nature...in the very act of so doing, assert all the more the unity and self
consistency of total reality at some deeper level (97). Miracles are not always
prevalent at times, but are ways for God to bring the world closer to how He had

It seems that much more likely that human thought is not God s but God kindled
(44). Lewis explained before that God can interfere in the physical world and that it
may interrupt the usual course of nature all the while of asserting self consistency.
Humans may decide for themselves what they eat for breakfast on a day to day
basis, but in the big scheme of things it is actually God who makes their decisions
for them. to realize for the first time how majestically indifferent most reality is to
man, and who perhaps abandons his religion on that account, may at that moment be

For that s why I think at end Spike try to kiss Buffy. She was shocked and panic for
a moment. At one point I thought she is going to accept it but she make it clear that
it wouldn t be him by pushing him away and throwing money in his face and
purposefully using the same word which will hurt him most you are beneath me. Its
interesting to watch how she control herself.
I found interesting that at end of the episode Spike wanted to kill Buffy but ends up
with comforting her and he offer her that anything he do about it. That moment I
realize the perfect match of the title with episode.
My favorite part of these entire episode is when Spike describe how he killed second
Slayer at the subway. It s like a complete simulation for Buffy, same action but
different time and location and how the flashback fight scene and the present fight
scene merged together.
In this episode I notice that all previous Slayer are female. Joss Whedon in this

To Kill A Mockingbird Presence Of Animals Essay
With a lightning strike, the long, lance like bill of a white stork jabs through the
marsh grass and snatches up the singing frog. In an instant, the tireless music
maker becomes the dinner of a spy. White storks are master eavesdroppers. They
rely on the songs of moor frogs to guide them when they re hunting. The birds are
so skillful that they can stealthily follow frog sounds to within two or three strides
of an unsuspecting singer. Some spies can intercept signals sent by plants. Bright
flowers invite bees and other animals to come for a meal of pollen or nectar (and to
pollinate the plants at the same time). Scientists believe that the most symmetrical

They can tell the alarm from other songs and calls and will dash for cover when
they hear it. Some animal snoops are born recognizing the warning signals of
different creatures; others, such as bonnet macaques, have to learn. These monkeys
of southern India often pal around with langur monkeys. Langurs are good
lookouts, and macaques will quickly scramble up a tree when they overhear a
langur warning cry as long as the macaques have learned the correct langur
language. Scientists say bonnet macaques at one animal reserve[9] respond to
recorded Nilgiri langur alarm shrieks but are slower to flee after a similar cry by
Hanuman langurs which would rarely be seen there. Farther north, only Hanuman
langurs are common and bonnet macaques there have learned the opposite langur

Nilgiri cries. Eavesdropping on the alarm signals of other animals is useful, but
spying on predators directly also has advantages. Geometrid moths, for instance, are

their sluggish speed, the moths have espionage

I always assumed reading only meant picking up a book and reading the words on
the page in order to comprehend a certain concept, but I have come to learn that
there are so many other types of reading in the world, ones that many people do not
even realize. I argue that it is extremely imperative in life to be close to family
members and dearest friends, so that in the most awkward, sad, excited, and
nervous of times, one can know exactly how the other one feels by their
appearance and tone of voice. I for one never noticed the most important type of
reading one can learn to do, which is reading facial expressions and tones of voices of

I argue that going through life not being capable of reading facial expressions and
tones of voices is like going through life without any emotional connection to
anyone because being able to do so creates the bond that holds family and friends
together. Not only is it easier on me to be able to read my family members, but it is
also easier on them, so that even at the hardest times, they are able to save
themselves from speaking words that may be impossible to get out. Not only is
this in the saddest moments in life, but also in the most exciting, uncomfortable,
and endearing moments that it is essential to be able to read other people and
determine what they want to say. Overall, I argue that it is more imperative to be
close to family members and dearest friends, and to learn the capability of reading
their tones of voices and facial expressions no matter what the circumstance than to

In the modern times, bookkeeping has become an increasing need for any and every

The short half life of this isotope means that radiation levels reduce quickly. High
density shielding material should be used when storing F 18 but this is impractical
when handling the material. The predominant radiation emitted is gamma rays.
Therefore, field contamination monitors should use sensitive gamma detectors.

Characteristics Of Jimmy Carter
Why do we hear so much about the bad leaders, but so little about the good ones?
That s because none of our leaders are perfect, but what makes a good leader? A
good leader is someone who is honest, decisive under pressure, and can give
confidence in times of distress. Many leaders in our world, or in fictional worlds,
show that these qualities prove most important. An honest person is someone who
does not lie, and is not afraid of telling people the whole truth. As said by Michael
Bunting, Honesty is a leader s most valuable leadership quality; it serves as the
gateway for trust and inspiration ( Journal of business ethics, 113). This is very
true, if a leader is dishonest it is very hard to trust anything they say or do. Of real
world leaders, we don t honesty a lot, but US President Jimmy Carterdefinitely had
honest qualities. Jimmy Carter was arguably the most honest US president. While
his honesty cost him his 2nd term in office, it also saved us from a war in Iran
(Frank). Many lives and lots money would ve gone into a war, and so this shows
that honesty was truly the best thing in this situation. Another example of honesty
would be how the main character of Zootopia, Judy Hopps, wasn t afraid of telling
people off. When Nick touched the sheep s wool, which was referencing to
something that black women and men famously deal with all the time (Kois), Judy
was quick to tell him that what he was doing was considered rude. Another trait I find

The Consequences Of Youth Violence In High School
Youth Violence
One in twelve teenagers in High school are harmed or threatened with a weapon
each year (Teen violence statistics). Youth Violence may not seem like a big
problem, but we are from a small town where most get along. Your small town of
David city doesn t catch the big action like larger cities do. Schools within a bigger
city see a fight on a normal basis, that s normal to them, not realizing that shouldn t be
an everyday thing. The bullying and fighting in them schools is ignored because there
are so many students attending that view the violence as a minor thing.
Youth violence can come in many forms such as bullying, fighting, or even worse
robbery, or assault. Youth violence can be a very big problem but people are not
realizing how big it really is. Young adults can be a victim, an offender, or a
witness. The victim can be harmed in many ways, they could be physically harmed
or mentally. The victim could even lose their life, all because someone wanted to
hurt them. The victim could take their own life because they were repeatedly harmed
physically or mentally. There are so many ways youth violence can take place, youth
violence has gone unseen for too long
People do not realize how far a child that is being bullied will go to seek revenge on
the bully. In 1999 a shooting happened at Columbine High School, two students
walked in to the school with weapons they killed and injured many people before
they took their own lives. This happened because those two kids were bullied and
they felt that they should get revenge (Biscontini 14 15). This is an example of how
big of a deal youth violence is, and how far a child who is bullied will take it.
Youth violence goes back to the 1980s the United States noticed that the levels of
violence among the youth had risen a lot. Homicide is one of the leading causes
of death for people aged ten to twenty four. Youth violence all starts back to when the
child was young. A child is a bully once was a bully. When a kid is physically or
mentally bullied they can become unstable and seek revenge. They will go as far as
killing people or injuring them badly. If everyone was to help stop violence among
the young. Less and less kids will be involved in school

Country Rock History
COUNTRY AND JAZZ IN ROCK
At the end of the 1960s, when Rock and Roll were at its prime, two musical genres
that were originally considered its influences re imagined themselves through Rock
and Roll s prism Country and Jazz musicians started to mix their music with Rock s
relentless energy. The newfound genres, called Country Rock and JazzRock
respectively were accepted by the audience and critics alike, having a major impact
that is still traceable in today s music.
Musical genres can be often analyzed from two standpoints: the way the genre
approaches musical harmony and the genre s stylistics. There is Country with its
rudimentary melodic approach, which in a majority of times is merely a backdrop for
stories that cover themes such as love, freedom, religion, and, unsurprisingly, the
aspects of life in the countryside. A major part of Country s aesthetics is reached with
the use of very few recognizable instruments, such as fiddles and banjos. On the other
hand, we have Jazz, whose most renowned contributors were quite often creating
instrumental pieces exclusively, praising structural and melodic complexity as their
ultimate goals. Throughout its history, Jazz was moving in all directions,
experimenting with all sorts of instruments and musical movements.

The Treatment Of The United States
Andy was embarking on his second semester of his junior year in college. After a
long bout with a cold and the sudden emergence of a protruding mass on his chest, he
knew something was not right. Within a week, he received devastating news a
diagnosis of an aggressive form of bone cancer. The treatment regiment included two
years of chemotherapy and radiation. The extensiveness of his cancer made surgical
treatment impossible. After just his first dose of chemotherapy, he became septic and
spent six weeks in an intensive care unit followed by weeks of rehabilitation.
Although he had been optimistic about continuing to attend classes and staying
involved with campus organizations throughout the treatment course, a disabled
immune system and countless days in the hospital prevented this. His friends and
peers became distant because his appearance and prognosis made them
uncomfortable and speechless. He eventually relied on his mother and closest friends
to take him to appointments because of increasing weakness and chronic pain. When
his world was virtually turned upside down and he eventually lost much of his
independence, Andy started to display symptoms of major depressive disorder.
According to the DSM 5, individuals who have a major depressive episodewithout
history of mania are diagnosed with major depressive disorder (Comer, 2014, p.
175). Five or more symptoms of a major depressive episode must be present for a
diagnosis. Andy s symptom presentation included
Las Vegas Gambling History
Las Vegas or the meadows as its Spanish name translates is the largest city in the
state of Nevada. Las Vegas was born in 1905, when William Andrews Clark sold
110 acres of land adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks for $265,000.
Officially incorporated in 1911, over the course of just 100 years, the small railroad
town grew to become the most populous American city that was founded in the 20th
century. Today, Las Vegas has a population of 603,488 and a wider metropolitan
area of above 2 million, which makes it the 29th largest city in the USA. With 4,000
to 8,000 people moving here each month, it s also one of the fastest growing cities in
the country.
Mostly famous for its mega hotels and casinos, Las Vegas is considered to be the
gambling and entertainment capital of the world. The major events that shaped Las
Vegas as a gambling center occurred in 1931, when the construction of the Hoover
Damn began, bringing thousands of workers into the city. At the same time, the state
of Nevada decided to legalize gambling. Consisted solely of males from across the
country, the work force created a market for large scale entertainment.... Show more

In addition to its glamour, the desert metropolis is also home to many museums,
such as the Mob Museum, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, the
DISCOVERY Children s Museum, as well as the Neon Museum, which displays
many of the historical signs from Las Vegas old businesses and casinos. There are
over sixty parks in Las Vegas, with plenty of golf courses. Other outdoors attractions
include the Death Valley National Monument, Red Rock Canyon, the Hoover Dam
and Lake Mead, which is one of the largest man made lakes in America. With over
300,000 students enrolled in the school system, Las Vegas is also an important
education center, home to top rate universities such as the University of Nevada, the
Nevada State College, and the College of Southern
Naomi Wolf The Beauty Myths
Mythbusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman tackle the countless legends and
myths of the 21st century, but could they bust the Beauty Myth as well as Naomi
Wolf? Her novel, The Beauty Myth, takes a look at Western sexism during the
nineties, where the Beauty Myth is defined as an impossible beauty standard put
into place by men in power to continue the oppression of women. A decade later, the
context of this book is still relevant; though some things have changed, there is still
much to be done if women everywhere want to bust this myth for good. Throughout
the book, Wolf argues sexism is used as a tool of oppression, primarily to keep
women from moving into power. In the chapter, Work, the author used countless legal
cases to show the existence
Religious Persecution In Civil War
Religious Intolerance and Persecution mixed with political power struggles have
caused much pain and suffering to mankind. Today millions of refugees are pouring
out of the countries where ethnic and religious persecution has culminated into civil
war. If we look at history, there are many lessons to be learnt. However these lessons
are not learnt nor applied. Will you?
Middle age Europe saw one of the most devastating conflicts between Christians
(Catholics) and Christians (Protestants). This conflict is still evident in Northern
Ireland today. Take for instance what happened in France in the middle to late 1500
s between the Catholic and Protestants. At the St. Bartholomew s Day Massacre in
Paris, August 24, 1572. King Charles IX of France ordered the assassination of
Protestant leaders in Paris, this sets off a wave of violence which leads to the
massacre of tens of thousands of Protestants. It is estimated that 70,000 Protestants
were butchered by Roman catholic mobs proclaiming that the Protestants were
blaspheming God. This massacre marked the resumption of religious civil war in
France. It was estimated that a further 400,000 French Protestants fled to parts of the
New World in an attempt to avoid persecution.... Show more content on

In Syria for instance Muslim is killing Muslim, this has lead to civil war. It is
estimated that 250,000 people have been killed as of August 2015 and that more
than 4.5 million people have fled Syria, as refugees, since the start of the conflict.
We see that the Jaysh al Islam and Jaysh al Fatah are fighting each other. If you
were to look deeper into it, it appears that this struggle between Muslim and Muslim
is related to the historic power struggle between the Turks and the Arabs. President
Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey seems to be backing the uprising against the
neighbouring Syrian President Bashar al Assad for his own political power
Analysis Of Rosie The Riveter
Rosie the Riveter In order to get more women to join the workforce during World
War II, the government used a variety of tactics to motivate them. Propaganda
posters of a character named Rosie the Riveter was one of the most successful ways.
Rosie the Riveter represented all the women who worked in defense industries, in
factories and shipyards, to fill the positions of men who were fighting in the war.
Rosie the Riveterwas used as an effective tool for propagandato get women into the
workforce. Yet, despite the fact that millions of women proved themselves to be
good workers, Rosie disappeared when the war ended, proving that she was regarded
as purely a recruitment aid by the government who never really wanted women in the
workforce.
Out of the six million women who joined the workforce, half worked in defense
industries. These women were all referred to as Rosies. Some of the most
significant Rosies were what inspired the creation of the strong Rosie the Riveter
character. One of these significant Rosies was Rose Bonavita who worked as a
riveter at the General Motors Eastern Aircraft Division in New York. She is known
for setting a production record by drilling 900 holes and driving 300 rivets in a
torpedo bomber in one six hour shift. Rosalind P. Walter was also a riveter, who
was the inspiration of the song Rosie the Riveter that was written in 1942 and
became very popular (Strobel). The first image of Rosie the Riveter was created in
1943 by Norman Rockwell. Mary Keefe, the model, was actually not a riveter, but a
dental hygienist. Norman s image was speculative and was based on Michelangelo s
Isaiah from the Sistine Chapel. The actual image is of a muscular Rosie who is
taking a lunch break which appeared on the cover of the Memorial Day issue of the
Saturday Evening Post (Strobel). Geraldine Hoff Doyle is probably the most well
known faces out of all the Rosies because she was the model for the We Can Do It!
poster. During her one week as a metal presser in a defense factory in Michigan, she
was photographed by an unknown journalist. J. Howard Miller, a graphic artist,
turned this photo into the famous We Can Do It! poster for the Westinghouse Electric
Company in 1942. The shop poster was

Culture Of India Essay. Essay on Indian Culture and Tradition for Students in 1200 Words

  • 1. Culture Of India Essay Crafting an essay on the cultural tapestry of India is a multifaceted endeavor that demands careful consideration, extensive research, and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. India, with its rich history, diverse traditions, and multifarious customs, presents a vast and intricate landscape for exploration. The difficulty in writing such an essay arises from the sheer breadth of topics that fall under the umbrella of Indian culture. From ancient philosophies and classical arts to modern Bollywood influences and contemporary societal dynamics, attempting to encapsulate the essence of India's cultural identity requires a delicate balance. One must navigate through the labyrinth of religious diversity, linguistic variations, and regional distinctions that define India. Each region unfolds its own unique cultural narrative, and synthesizing these diverse elements into a cohesive essay poses a significant challenge. Moreover, delving into India's cultural evolution over the centuries involves meticulous research to avoid oversimplification or misrepresentation. The historical layers, cultural amalgamations, and the dynamic nature of Indian society demand a nuanced approach to capture the essence accurately. Language itself becomes both a tool and a challenge. Selecting the right words to convey the vibrancy of Indian culture without succumbing to clichГ©s or oversimplifications requires a keen linguistic sensibility. While the task is undoubtedly daunting, it is also rewarding. Unraveling the tapestry of India's culture unveils a world of captivating stories, vibrant traditions, and a deep-rooted sense of identity. However, it demands not only a profound appreciation for cultural diversity but also an ability to distill complex information into a coherent and engaging narrative. In conclusion, composing an essay on the culture of India is a formidable task that demands diligence, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to presenting a holistic perspective. Despite its challenges, the process offers a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the intricacies of one of the world's most diverse and culturally rich nations. • 2. The Role Of Centralized Policies On The State Capacities This part explains the centralized policies with focus on the state capacities, which is the vital factor of developmental states model, and emphasizes on implications of the centralization for resource rich developmental states. The initial stage of the extractive industry demands the centralization in which the governmentexerts the strong state capacities, such as abilities to autonomously have its policyownership (e.g. design and implement industrial policies), to efficiently mobilize resources and to rationally allocate revenues from the resources to more productive sectors in a given society (Arellano Yanguas and MejГa Acosta, 2014). Such a state led development often results from political leadership based on a strong ideology called developmentalism and requires the trained and efficient bureaucracy to devise national development schemes and implement relevant legal frameworks (Reinert, 2010). In addition to the capacities of setting up development plans, the successful development in resource based economy depends on their ability to save all or part of the revenues from the extractive industries (Lewin, 2011). Since the non renewable resources are destined to be depleted in the future, the mineral wealth is limited, and it means the state should save the revenues as much as possible to prepare for the future depletion (Lange and Wright, 2002). Moreover, the natural resources tend to have volatile prices, so the countries need to stabilize the income, for

Define the terms anatomy and physiology, and explain their relationship using an example of a human structure with its corresponding function. Anatomy: The branch of science concerned with the bodily structure of humans, animals, and other organisms, esp. as revealed by dissection. Physiology: The branch of biology that deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts. Anatomy and physiology are connected in the way of not being able to understand one without the other. For example, to understand your lungs functions of breathing through physiology, you have to understand the parts and structure of them (anatomy) such as the bronchial tree and ... The culture of Butler County is shaped by the limited diversity of the area. Much of the population residing in Butler County are also somewhere between the ages of 18 and 65 (Census Bureau 2015). The social conflict approach is a framework for building theory that sees society as an arena of inequality that generates conflict and change (Macionis). Even though society is becoming more diverse and accepting towards other races and nationalities, Butler County, like everywhere else, still has trouble with race issues. Comparing Butler County to Allegheny County, Butler is composed of 96.3 percent white individuals, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The varying ages have different interpretations of symbols. Acknowledging the broad age range of 18 to 65, one would realize that there would be different interests of a young college student compared to a professor getting close to retirement. The Symbolic Interaction Approach is a framework for building theory that sees society as the product of the everyday interactions of individuals (Macionis 18). Every human has symbols which they often associate with other certain objects or place. One example of symbolic interaction is social media. Most adolescents use social media to be cool, adults use it to keep in touch with acquaintances, and the elderly think that social media is a waste of time. Another example could be going to Alameda Park. Alameda is a park located in Butler Pennsylvania. Children go to Alameda park for thrill and excitement, parents go to see the happiness their children experience, while elderly people may reconcile the memories they had as a child. Since a society is defined as a people who live in a defined territory and share a way of life , different age groups could potentially be a part of separate societies (Macionis 3). Eventually, the older generation will have disappeared in Butler County and more liberal views will be installed upon. With the baby boomer population becoming

The precipitation was caused due to the calcium in the limewater solution. It took us 5 attempts to turn the clear colorless limewater solution to a milky white solution. 2. Phenolphthalein Indicator Test: As phenolphthalein indicator was added to NaOH and H2O solution, it made the solution turn clear pink. Phenolphthalein Indicator Test: CO2 (g) + H2O(l) H2CO3(aq) H2CO3(aq) + 2NaOH(aq) Na2CO3(aq) + 2H2O(l) How would the results of both tests be affected if you performed the tests immediately after vigorously exercising for several minutes? Explain. Performing vigorous exercise requires a high demand of energy in order to be accomplished, the body adapts to this change by increasing the rate of aerobic cellular respiration which would produce more energy to meet the needs. As a result there would be much more carbon dioxide being exhaled from the body as it is one of the waste products produced during aerobic cellular respiration. CO2 is specifically formed during the Pyruvate oxidation and Kreb Cycle stage of the cellular respiration. To exemplify during pyruvate oxidation one of the steps is a decarboxylation reaction in which the carboxyl group of pyruvate is removed to from CO2. Overall for one glucose molecule two molecules of CO2 is released during pyruvate oxidation as glycolysis yields two pyruvate molecules. Furthermore the Krebs Cycle also produces CO2 molecules during the oxidation of isocitrate which produces a ketoglutarate. Another CO2 molecule is also produced during the oxidation of a ketoglutarate. This reaction produces the molecule succinyl CoA. As a result two CO2 molecules are produced for one acetyl CoA. These points exemplify how the increase rate of cellular respiration would increase the rate of CO2 being exhaled. In connection to the lab investigation this would speed up the rate of reactions as there would be a much higher concentration of CO2 being exhaled compared to when the body is at rest. As a result this would increase the amount of product being produced because of the increase of CO2 in the reaction. Due to which the lab experiment would occur at a higher rate and it would be faster as

Trauma On Personality Development General Overview There is a need to examine the literature to grasp a better understanding how trauma can impact the development of personality disorders, as well as how people who have personality disorders respond to trauma. However, research on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) comorbidity has usually been retrospective and focused mainly on the prevalence of other primary psychiatric (Axis I) diagnoses and not personality disorders (Axis 2) (according to the DSM IV), even over ten years later (Dunn, Yanasak, Schillaci, Simotas, Rehm, Souchek, Hamilton, 2004; Bollinger, Riggs, Blake, Ruzek, 2000). The purpose of our project is to examine how trauma impacts the development of personality disorders and how individuals with personality disorders respond to trauma. • 12. The Ethical Concepts Of Northrop s Total Quality Management It is unpromising to comprehend the total quality management phenomenon, emerging in the twentieth century, and to acknowledge its competitive advantages and obstacles, unless the underlying philosophy of quality is examined. Since the time of ancient Greece, quality has been a subject of ethical discussions. The main contemplator of quality is the first genuine scientist known in the history Aristotle (Gribbin,2008). The fundamental concepts, enduring the TQM, are cultural heritage from the contemplators of quality Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas (Schoengrund, 1996). Although, the epochal difference is fifteen centuries, both contemplators define quality as goodness (Aristotle, 1967). Accordingly, Northrop defines quality as an aesthetic continuum , which cannot be described rather immediately perceived (1947). Aristotle defines also quality as static and dynamic, therefore the dynamic quality endures Northrop s aesthetic continuum . The notion of dynamic quality is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This view implies that any change in already established requirements and design lead to reduction in quality. In that sense, quality is focused to the internal production control and particularly how to simplify the engineering process. Consequently, this concept has led to the emerging significance of reliability engineering (Boehm, 1963) and statistical quality control (Feigenbaum, 1961). To summarise, both techniques are concentrated on the same goal cost reduction from repairing or reworking defects. The approach aims to set apart deviations by examining the basic attributes enduring the product and in that manner to determine any possible failure models. The examination of possible failure models aims to propose an alternative construction in order to enhance the reliability, which is measured later by means of statistical
  • 13. Our Ability to Connect with Nature Nature is a reality of life. The definition of reality could be everything that cease to exist in an individual s life. Because reality means something that is neither derivative nor dependent but exists necessarily, nature should be a part of every individual s life. As individual human beings, we tend to forget the beauty that naturehas given us and only see objects and subjects we want to see. Nature has existed since the beginning of time and the bible story of Adam and Eve may suggest that an individual came from nature. In the Genesis 2:7, Adam was created by God from the Earth s dust and Eve was created from Adam s rib. An individual should be able to connect with nature, because the individual was first created by Earth s dust.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Selections From Into The Wild, Krakauer speaks about Chris McCandless who tried to dissociate from society and anything that made life easy. McCandless went in to the Alaskans wilderness to explore the inner country if his own soul... [But] an extended stay in the wilderness inevitably directs one attention outward as much as inward, and it is impossible to live of the land without developing both a subtle understanding of, and a strong emotional bond with, that land and all it holds (Krakauer 220). McCandless goal was to create an identity with nature. McCandless goal was to learn about himself, learn about the land, and form a bond with it. It was clear that he would feel a strong bond with nature seeing that he was away from civilization. McCandless was alone with nature and free to make a new identity. McCandless new identity with nature would be a hunter, brave soul and courageous. In all three author s writing, they all mention how in order to create an identity with nature, one must first dissociate themselves from their comfort zones. Creating an identity with nature is easy but the willingness and determination to do it is hard. In order to create an identity with nature, an individual has to be prepared. The comforts of our modern world will not be able to help an individual understand the struggles of living in the wild. Many people will say that McCandless was an idiot for going in to the wild, because he was not prepared.
  • 14. Taking a Look at Molecular Cuisine Molecular cuisine, a relatively new style of cooking, is taking the world by surprise and changing the way food is prepared, cooked and looked at. People are asking a lot of questions such as Is it safe?, What kinds of chemicals are used?, Who decided to start this whole thing?, How did it start, and when?, and What kind of equipment do the cooks use? These are all very good questions and the answers are out there, they just have to be found. Food and science have been combined to create something extraordinary called molecular cuisine. The question that is probably going through the reader s head by now is What is it? Well, molecular cuisine is physics and chemistry applied food to create different flavours, textures and to amaze the five senses. It is also another way of preparing food to provide other ways of cookingand to create more possibilities for cooking food. There are many other names for molecular cuisine such as molecular gastronomy, avant garde cuisine, experimental cuisine, modern cuisine, and modernist cuisine. The now late oxford physicist Nicholas Kurtiand French chemist HervГ© This came up with the term molecular gastronomy for the new style of cooking/science they started experimenting with back in the 1980 s. People are definitely interested in molecular cuisine but don t know whether it is safe or not. Some of the chemicals that are used in molecular cuisine come from natural origins. The material origin in typically plant,

Music and Business Music has several functions in the society, such as the expression of emotions; creation of joy; communication; entertainment; integration of a society; and the continuity of culture. These functions of music make music a human need, which results in humans demanding for music. The human need or demand for music makes music a valuable item (good). Therefore, humans (artists) create music as a good that can be sold for revenues and profits. This is how music relates to business. Music is a good that many people (artists) and business (record labels) are involved in its production, distribution, and sale for profits. In fact, musicians have to acquire business skills that will help them manage their public image, organize for tours and shows, design their merchandise, and build a loyal fan base. This is how music and business are related. Main Problems Faced by Musicians Music is an industry that has a number of aspiring artists wishing to be mainstream musicians. Not only did they take away the only homes the poor had, but also ineffectively relocated them to a community where they could thrive. One of the main economic problems that many people, particularly gangs, in Robert Taylor faced was the fact that they didn t want to trade in their status for entry level jobs because in many cases, gang leaders made far more than they would have if they worked minimum wage jobs (72). Many of the gang leaders such as J.T. held the false belief that the drug economy was useful for the community, since it redistributed the drug addict s money back into the community via the gang s philanthropy (115). However, the drug economy is not a stable or lucrative economy compared to your average jobs because it was clearly very hard for people to get ahead in gangs, thus no one ever had a fair shot of earning more money in their life span. Nevertheless, the situation can tend to be a grey area of debate since a lot of the residents did attempt to hold blue collar jobs but continued to get laid off (60). In this case, the underground economy of drug sales may have been the only choice for residents looking for an income. Another way the gangs play into the economic situation is when there are drive by shootings, in which case parents
  • 19. Existentialism Essay example In his 1946 essay Existentialism, Jean Paul Sartre undertakes the task of defending existentialism against what he defines as charges (341) brought against it. Sartre begins to outline the charges brought against existentialism and further, existentialists. Following the medieval quaestio form, Sartre begins with the statement of the objection, a short discussion, and then his reply to each. The first of the charges is that of quietism. First, it has been charged with inviting people to remain in a kind of desperate quietism because, since no solutions are possible, we should have to consider action in this world as quite impossible (341). Historically, quietism was a Christian philosophy that advocated withdrawal from worldly... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before I begin to discuss the replies Sartre provides for each objection raised, it is important to establish what Sartre believes existentialism to be. That is, it is important to understand exactly what Sartre is defending. Sartre begins his definition by defining the two groups of existentialists: Christian existentialists and atheistic existentialists. Sartre aligns himself with the atheistic existentialists for the remainder of the essay. What the existentialist philosophers have in common, and where Sartre begins his definition, is the idea that existence precedes essence. The reader is provided the example of a paper cutter. A designer has a plan for a paper cutter in his/her mind and sets about creating it with the preconceived notion of its function. This preconceived notion is the essence of the object and thus for the object (a paper cutter) essence precedes existence. That is to say the paper cutters being is predetermined. It would follow that for essence to precede the existence in a person, there must be an individual to conceive of the beings essence and thus bring about its existence. However, Sartre declares that there is no God and

There are a lot of mysteries regarding the pyramids and the Sphinx, and many humans may not understand some of these things. Why is the peak of the Pyramid of Giza not completed? The Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Egypthave existed since thousands of years ago and were built by Ancient Egyptian Kings mostly to honor and symbolize themselves. And while marketing managers still clearly feel that it is a valuable concept and one that will play an increasingly important role in their companies, there is unfortunately a great deal of evidence to suggest that truly integrated marketingcommunications is the exception rather than a rule (Percy and Rosenbaum Elliott, 2012) Introduction Initial discussions on IMC were based on definitions and theoretical understanding, and this discussion is still taking place. He uses ideas such as naturalism and supernaturalism to help readers understand the idea of miracles, but also makes sure to point out that miracles do happen, and they happen for a reason. That reason being because Godintended them to happen to maintain control on Earth as well as show his sovereignty. • 32. Characteristics Of Jimmy Carter Why do we hear so much about the bad leaders, but so little about the good ones? That s because none of our leaders are perfect, but what makes a good leader? A good leader is someone who is honest, decisive under pressure, and can give confidence in times of distress. Many leaders in our world, or in fictional worlds, show that these qualities prove most important. An honest person is someone who does not lie, and is not afraid of telling people the whole truth. As said by Michael Bunting, Honesty is a leader s most valuable leadership quality; it serves as the gateway for trust and inspiration ( Journal of business ethics, 113). This is very true, if a leader is dishonest it is very hard to trust anything they say or do. Of real world leaders, we don t honesty a lot, but US President Jimmy Carterdefinitely had honest qualities. Jimmy Carter was arguably the most honest US president. While his honesty cost him his 2nd term in office, it also saved us from a war in Iran (Frank). Many lives and lots money would ve gone into a war, and so this shows that honesty was truly the best thing in this situation. Another example of honesty would be how the main character of Zootopia, Judy Hopps, wasn t afraid of telling people off. When Nick touched the sheep s wool, which was referencing to something that black women and men famously deal with all the time (Kois), Judy was quick to tell him that what he was doing was considered rude. Schools within a bigger city see a fight on a normal basis, that s normal to them, not realizing that shouldn t be an everyday thing. The bullying and fighting in them schools is ignored because there are so many students attending that view the violence as a minor thing. Youth violence can come in many forms such as bullying, fighting, or even worse robbery, or assault. Youth violence can be a very big problem but people are not realizing how big it really is. Young adults can be a victim, an offender, or a witness. The victim can be harmed in many ways, they could be physically harmed or mentally. The victim could even lose their life, all because someone wanted to hurt them. The victim could take their own life because they were repeatedly harmed physically or mentally. There are so many ways youth violence can take place, youth violence has gone unseen for too long People do not realize how far a child that is being bullied will go to seek revenge on the bully. In 1999 a shooting happened at Columbine High School, two students walked in to the school with weapons they killed and injured many people before they took their own lives. This happened because those two kids were bullied and they felt that they should get revenge (Biscontini 14 15). This is an example of how big of a deal youth violence is, and how far a child who is bullied will take it. Youth violence goes back to the 1980s the United States noticed that the levels of violence among the youth had risen a lot. Homicide is one of the leading causes of death for people aged ten to twenty four. Youth violence all starts back to when the child was young. A child is a bully once was a bully. When a kid is physically or mentally bullied they can become unstable and seek revenge. They will go as far as killing people or injuring them badly. If everyone was to help stop violence among the young. Less and less kids will be involved in school

Within a week, he received devastating news a diagnosis of an aggressive form of bone cancer. The treatment regiment included two years of chemotherapy and radiation. The extensiveness of his cancer made surgical treatment impossible. After just his first dose of chemotherapy, he became septic and spent six weeks in an intensive care unit followed by weeks of rehabilitation. Although he had been optimistic about continuing to attend classes and staying involved with campus organizations throughout the treatment course, a disabled immune system and countless days in the hospital prevented this. His friends and peers became distant because his appearance and prognosis made them uncomfortable and speechless. He eventually relied on his mother and closest friends to take him to appointments because of increasing weakness and chronic pain. When his world was virtually turned upside down and he eventually lost much of his independence, Andy started to display symptoms of major depressive disorder. According to the DSM 5, individuals who have a major depressive episodewithout history of mania are diagnosed with major depressive disorder (Comer, 2014, p. 175). • 43. Naomi Wolf The Beauty Myths Mythbusters Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman tackle the countless legends and myths of the 21st century, but could they bust the Beauty Myth as well as Naomi Wolf? Her novel, The Beauty Myth, takes a look at Western sexism during the nineties, where the Beauty Myth is defined as an impossible beauty standard put into place by men in power to continue the oppression of women. A decade later, the context of this book is still relevant; though some things have changed, there is still much to be done if women everywhere want to bust this myth for good. Throughout the book, Wolf argues sexism is used as a tool of oppression, primarily to keep women from moving into power. In the chapter, Work, the author used countless legal cases to show the existence
  • 44. Religious Persecution In Civil War Religious Intolerance and Persecution mixed with political power struggles have caused much pain and suffering to mankind. Today millions of refugees are pouring out of the countries where ethnic and religious persecution has culminated into civil war. If we look at history, there are many lessons to be learnt. However these lessons are not learnt nor applied. Will you? Middle age Europe saw one of the most devastating conflicts between Christians (Catholics) and Christians (Protestants). This conflict is still evident in Northern Ireland today. Take for instance what happened in France in the middle to late 1500 s between the Catholic and Protestants. At the St. Bartholomew s Day Massacre in Paris, August 24, 1572. King Charles IX of France ordered the assassination of Protestant leaders in Paris, this sets off a wave of violence which leads to the massacre of tens of thousands of Protestants. It is estimated that 70,000 Protestants were butchered by Roman catholic mobs proclaiming that the Protestants were blaspheming God. This massacre marked the resumption of religious civil war in France. It was estimated that a further 400,000 French Protestants fled to parts of the New World in an attempt to avoid persecution.... • 45. Analysis Of Rosie The Riveter Rosie the Riveter In order to get more women to join the workforce during World War II, the government used a variety of tactics to motivate them. Propaganda posters of a character named Rosie the Riveter was one of the most successful ways. Rosie the Riveter represented all the women who worked in defense industries, in factories and shipyards, to fill the positions of men who were fighting in the war. Rosie the Riveterwas used as an effective tool for propagandato get women into the workforce. Yet, despite the fact that millions of women proved themselves to be good workers, Rosie disappeared when the war ended, proving that she was regarded as purely a recruitment aid by the government who never really wanted women in the workforce. Out of the six million women who joined the workforce, half worked in defense industries. These women were all referred to as Rosies. Some of the most significant Rosies were what inspired the creation of the strong Rosie the Riveter character. One of these significant Rosies was Rose Bonavita who worked as a riveter at the General Motors Eastern Aircraft Division in New York. She is known for setting a production record by drilling 900 holes and driving 300 rivets in a torpedo bomber in one six hour shift. Rosalind P. Walter was also a riveter, who was the inspiration of the song Rosie the Riveter that was written in 1942 and became very popular (Strobel). The first image of Rosie the Riveter was created in 1943 by Norman Rockwell. Mary Keefe, the model, was actually not a riveter, but a dental hygienist. Norman s image was speculative and was based on Michelangelo s Isaiah from the Sistine Chapel. The actual image is of a muscular Rosie who is taking a lunch break which appeared on the cover of the Memorial Day issue of the Saturday Evening Post (Strobel). Geraldine Hoff Doyle is probably the most well known faces out of all the Rosies because she was the model for the We Can Do It! poster. During her one week as a metal presser in a defense factory in Michigan, she was photographed by an unknown journalist. J. Howard Miller, a graphic artist, turned this photo into the famous We Can Do It! poster for the Westinghouse Electric Company in 1942. The shop poster was
