an average American family. Miller wrote Death of A Salesman easily showcasing
the elements of drama. I was easily able to follow the plot, identify with his
characters, and picture the setting.
The main theme of the plot seemed to be Willy reaching for the American Dream .
Financial success, business success, outwardly perfect family, revered by your peers,
and in general respected by all. Early on in the play two things are evident to the

patriarch of the family, Willy Loman was portrayed as the tragic hero. I believe his
character did indeed possess some character flaws that inevitably led to his death.

never achieved the self realization or self knowledge to be labeled a true tragic hero

Despite the realized dangers, each actual dollar value of derivatives at present
supports between $35 and $70 of notional value. This means that minimal losses
from the face value would suffice to destroy even the best capitalized derivatives
traders (Sivy, 2013). Now, Asian economies begin to tap into the wealth of
opportunities provided by derivative transactions as well. Singapore and Malaysia
are leaders in the region with dedicated derivatives exchanges through the Singapore
Exchange and the Bursa Malaysia respectively. These exchanges facilitate the
increase of derivatives transactions with the SGX s derivatives daily average
volume growing 59% year on year during 2011 (JCN Newswire, 2013). Figure 1
illustrates the trend in volume of the derivatives exchange in terms of the number of
contracts.

As these established exchanges continue to prosper, neighboring developing countries
such as the Philippines are also beginning to consider the creation of fully operational
exchanges. With steady growth maintained at around 6% during 2013 (Magtulis,
2013), Philippine sectors such as in finance continue to welcome new innovations.

When the pardoner is through with his tale, he does not forget to remind the
congregation about making their offering to him, so that they may protect themselves
from avarice and against sin. The pardoner shows no sign of sympathy or remorse
towards his acts upon those whom he cheats. This is one of the many greedy tricks
that the pardoner performs to fool and steal from the people. Besides being a great
storyteller and speaker, the pardoner is also a wonderful actor, complete with
convincing props to deceive the congregation with. He preaches and tells the
people about the power of his relics, which in fact are fakes. Many of his relics
were actually the bones of dead animals, such as pigs, which he claimed to be the
bones of dead saints, and gloves, which, he claimed, would help crops grow if
worn when planting them (Pichaske, 131). The pardoner claims that his relics
have the power to forgive sinners of both the punishment due to sin and the guilt of
sin itself (Hussey, 177). The people believe the pardoners words and quickly pay to
be pardoned, in return the pardoner hands them one of his fake relics. The pardoner
quickly and happily accepts their offerings without first seeing if there is any

My First Day Vacation Essay
Vacation an extended period of recreation, especially one spent away from home or
in traveling. This vacation i ll definitely be far away from home.
We first packed our bags for the trip. Then we drove to the airport. Although we got
there a little late the line wasn t that big We also had special tickets which had us go
to the front of the line.
It was my first time ever riding an aircraft my mom said to chew gum for, my ears so
they won t pop. well the first plane I rode was a little smaller than the other aircraft I
would ride but it was still fun. Then we reached our next airport this time the plane
was a bigger plane and, way nicer than the other one. All the window covers were
down the whole flight because it had tv s built into the seats so I got my headphones
and watched movies. My third flight of the day was going to Florida,which was our
destination.

The October Crisis was a crisis that involved the kidnapping and murder of Pierre
Laporte, and kidnapping and later release of James Cross. James Cross was a
British Trade Commissioner, while Pierre Laporte was the Deputy Premier and

Socialism In The United States
The logistical system through which all goods and services are distributed and
carried out is of concern to everyone within it. In the United States, through our
esteemed representative democracy, we stifle this concern by giving the citizen a
choice between two right wing, capitalist parties. As a nation our propaganda
attacks one party states, but is this only to accentuate the difference between us and
them? Is it truly better to be given the choice between two parties over just one to a
citizen whose policies do not fall anywhere between, or is it an example of a failure
of our education system to curtail the free thought of an individual to the extent
where their political ideals cannot be labeled as liberal or conservative? Socialism...
More recently it seems that most profit lies in company wide specialization, and the
avant garde of most industries lies entirely in individual companies working
towards their own goals. In fact, recently competition has been avoided amongst
very large companies, as it is more profitable to exploit the consumer by limiting
their options. When the consumer has few to no options, there is little incentive to
invest in the improvement of services. Capitalism can be both a catalyst and a
hinderance for improvements, and it would be disingenuous to assume socialism
couldn t at least match capitalism in this regard. For example in socialistic societies,
financial sustainability wouldn t be a concern for freelance or employed thinkers.

Susan B. Anthony was born on February 15, 1820 in Adams, Massachusetts. She
was one of the leaders of the Women s Suffrage Movement. The Women s Suffrage
Movement was the struggle for the right of women to be able to vote and hold office.
The Women s Suffrage Movement officially began in 1848, when the first women s
rights convention was held in Seneca Falls, New York.She also was the founding

Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Matilda Joslin Gage published Volume 1 of
the History of Women s Suffrage, followed by Volume 2, 3, and 4 in 1882, 1885, and
1902. They published a total of six volumes from 1881 to 1922. These volumes had
more than 5700 pages, and were the major source for primary documentation about
the Women s Suffrage Movement to the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the
U.S Constitution.
In 1905, Susan B. Anthony met with President Theodore Roosevelt in Washington

In this essay, I will be explaining Erving Goffman s social concept called
dramaturgy, primarily focusing on the element of stage theory. I will also
incorporate Peter Borger s social construction of reality within the essay as it also
relates to stage theory. I will be describing what these concepts mean it my own
words, based off experiences in my own life, research that I have done, as well as
using the information that we gathered in class. Then we will be looking at college

greatest war novels of all time. It is a story that realistically depicts the American
Civil War through the eyes of Henry Fleming, an ordinary farm boy who decides to

Henry is very determined to become a hero, and the story tells Henrys voyage from
being a young coward to becoming a brave man. This voyage is the classic trip from

Tom and Henry talk about how they are not going to run away from war, and how
they want to become big time war heroes. This is weird because in the end of the
book you will find that their wishes come true. When the battle starts, all the
soldiers get very anxious and nervous. Tom and Henry don t turn out to be as brave
as they think that they could be. While hiding, Tom finds Henry, and gives him an
envelope of letters for his family. Tom believes that this will be his first and his last
battle.
Henry ends up fulfilling his worst nightmare. Instead of sticking out the battle with
the rest of his regiment, he hides behind some brush in order to spare himself from
getting shot.
He listens in on the battle, and to much of his surprise, he hears cheering from what
s left of his regiment. He then takes off into the woods in anger. While running
through the woods his conscience begins to speak to him. He keeps telling himself
that he is a coward and a deserter. Out of guilt, Henry runs back to the battle site, and
meets again with his regiment. These actions showed Henry s maturity and desire to
be a war hero.
When Henry meets back up with his regiment an older man begins to have a
discussion with him. The old man asks Henry where yuh hit, ol boy? . With
massive feelings of guilt, Henry shrugs away from the man and runs back into the
woods. From behind a tree, he can see all the wounded soldiers on the battle field. At
