Style Analysis Essay
Crafting a Style Analysis Essay can prove to be a challenging endeavor, demanding a delicate
balance between analytical prowess and eloquent expression. The inherent difficulty lies not only
in dissecting the intricate nuances of a writer's style but also in articulating these observations
with clarity and coherence.
To embark on this journey, one must possess a keen eye for detail, delving into the author's
choice of words, sentence structure, and rhetorical devices. This requires a deep understanding
of literary elements and an ability to connect these elements to the overarching theme or purpose
of the text.
The complexity further intensifies as one navigates the subjective nature of stylistic
interpretation. What may resonate profoundly with one reader might elude another, making it
imperative to substantiate claims with concrete evidence from the text. This calls for a
meticulous examination of passages, often necessitating multiple readings to unearth subtleties
that might escape a casual glance.
Moreover, the essayist must grapple with the challenge of weaving together a cohesive narrative
that not only explicates the identified stylistic elements but also elucidates their impact on the
overall meaning of the work. Crafting a seamless transition between analysis and interpretation
demands a deft touch, as the essay should not read like a disjointed enumeration of literary
devices but rather as a unified exploration of the author's unique voice.
In essence, the difficulty of composing a Style Analysis Essay lies in the intricate interplay
between subjectivity and objectivity, between the artistry of the writer under scrutiny and the
analytical acumen of the critic. It is a task that requires a fusion of literary insight, linguistic
proficiency, and persuasive writing skills.
And, should the endeavor prove too daunting, one might find solace in the fact that similar
essays and more can be readily commissioned on platforms like HelpWriting.net, where skilled
writers stand ready to navigate the complexities of stylistic analysis on your behalf.

The Cotton Gin
The institution of slavery in the southern states of the United States of America was
primarily based on economics rather than some type of natural admiration of the
practice itself. When the Mason Dixon line was created in the 1760s, Eli Whitney s
revolutionary cotton gin, which would eventually set slavery in the South, had not
been created yet. However, there were still lines being drawn between the more
industrial based economy of the North and the more agricultural economy of the
South. Slavery shaped the economic backbone of the South, and as it became more
widespread after Eli Whitney s invention of the cotton gin, it became as strong as the
political and social foundation of Southern character as well. Although there were
times... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This production led to an economic strength that made these states even more
determined to defend the right to practice slavery. Despite the freedoms demanded
in the Declaration of Independence and the freedoms reserved in the Constitution
and the Bill of Rights, such as Amendment X (Document 1), slavery was both
tolerated and classified in the Constitution. The South was also able to withstand
the growing number of revolts, rebellions, and northern political opposition that
was rising. Proclamations such as the Fugitive Slaves Law were established to
provide for the return of slaves who escaped from one state into another state or
territory, and the Underground Railroad became a serious threat to Southern
plantation owners who needed more slaves to maintain their economic power. The
Nat Turner revolt and the writings and speeches of the former slave Frederick
Douglass were contributors to the growing conflict, but the South defended their
claim to economic security through the practice of slavery until it became legally
impossible to do so after the Civil War. Frederick Douglass vividly described his
past years as a slave in the first of three autobiographies, Narrative of the Life of
Frederick Douglass, An American Slave, which was published in 1845. He later
wrote the two autobiographies, My Bondage and My Freedom, and The Life and
Times of Frederick Douglass, which mark his greatest contributions to southern
culture. In The Life and Times of Fredrick Douglass, he
The Qin Dynasty And Its Impact On The Culture Of China
Essay
Throughout its history, China has gone through transformations that have left their
mark; certain central aspects have endured while others have remained the same.
Regardless of what changed and what endured, the events that took place from the
Qin to the Tang Dynasties shaped the philosophies, religions, governments, and the
culture of China. The Qin dynasty was perhaps one of the most revolutionary
governments in the ancient world, but not in the modern progressive connotation of
that concept. The Qin Emperor, Shi Huangdi, and his court executed an
unprecedented departure from the Confucian ideals of the Benevolent and
unobtrusive ruler and established a much more autocratic and centralized
government. This new method of rule and philosophic thought was known as
Legalism, which surfaced as a response to a time of great political instability.
Therefore, Legalism promoted values that opposed those championed by Confucian
thought, such as decisiveness, a lack of trust, and severe punishment, qualities that
are reflected in The Legalist Teachings. Changing the Laws in one such passage in
this document that stresses the importance of acting with confidence stating how
those who hesitate to act accomplish nothing ВЁ (Ebrey, Legalist Teachings, pg. 32).
In addition to promoting decisive action, the text also seeks to justify such a massive
departure of how an ideal government should act by arguing stating the sage does not
stick to ancient laws if he can strengthen his state
Society Needs Architects . Buildings Are Apart Of Everyday
Society Needs Architects
Buildings are apart of everyday life for humans. There are buildings in the world that
are for staying in, or there are buildings for tourist attractions. These buildings
provide many uses for humans. In other words buildings are important to everyday
meaning we couldn t live without them. The people who are in charge of these
buildings are architects. In order to become an architect there are many things that
come into account like the preparation, pay, or need for them also with all this they
also leave a impact on people.
Architects are planners of buildings due to this there is a need for them in society
and they get paid for doing these types of vital things. Architects map out and sketch

If the people complete this program this shows how dedicated they are to becoming
an architect and showing they might do something big for the world. After the
program has been completed people get to move onto their next step getting licensed.
Architects have to get a bachelor s or master s degree in architecture which has been
approved by the National Architectural Accrediting Boardand certified for a state
licensure (Study.com). After this final step of being certified in architecture, the
people can become an architect and possibly innovate the world. They might also
introduce something that people everywhere can benefit from. Also possibly making
their dreams turn into reality.
Everywhere in the world an architect have some sort of personal impact on their
career. According to Inhabitat INHABITAT: Are you concerned about environmental
and social sustainability in your buildings? If so, what role does green building play
into your work? Steven: The 21st century presents us with one third of the earth

Polk County Health Improvement Plan Essay
Polk County Health Improvement Plan The surrounding and available resources in a
community are what influence the health of its residents. Health status will not
improve if a community does not have access to resources that will encourage
healthy living. In order to increase the health of a community it is important to
provide the environment to support a healthy lifestyle, such as having easy access to
healthy food and exercise. Obesity is a major population healthissue in Polk County
along with the remainder of the United States, which can be directly affected by
physical inactivity and eating an unhealthy diet. The implementation of a preventative
health improvement plan will help to provide greater access to healthy foods and
exercise to assist in decreasing the obese population in Polk County. Increasing the
available resources in Polk County that encourage healthy eating and exercise will
greatly reduce the prevalence of obesity and allow for a healthier community.
Background and Purpose
History of Polk County Polk County is labeled as one of the unhealthiest counties in
the State of Florida, ranking 38 out of 67 counties (University of Wisconsin
Population Health Institute [UWPHI], 2016). Ranking 38 out of 67 counties does not
seem terrible until learning that Polk County houses a population of nearly 650,092
residents, and is one of the top ten largest counties in the State of Florida (United
States Census Bureau, July 2015). Amongst the numerous health
The Safety Techniques And Management Strategies Essay
In today s world, coal is the most commonly used fossil fuel. The coal present in
the Pike River Coal Mine had some distinctive qualities. It was bright, lustrous
coking coal with several properties that was sought after by the international steel
makers. They used coke as a source of fuel for blasting furnaces and carbon was used
to bind with iron to produce steel. Therefore, Pike coals unique property of producing
low ash and high fluidity made it potentially valuable resource.
Underground mining is very hazardous due to some reasons like lack of fresh air,
poor ventilation, poor lighting and high level of poisonous gas. Thus, several safety
precautions should be taken for the well being of the miners. Due to lack of these
safety precautions and poor management strategies, on 19th November 2010 an
explosion at Pike River Coal Mine left 29 miners dead. This report will further
discuss on the safety techniques and management strategies taken by the three
protagonists of Pike River Coal Mine the managers, the state and the workers.
OUTSOURCING:
Outsourcing is one of the important management strategy that provides wider access
to world class capabilities and share risks with a partner company. Outsourcing in
mining industry depends on two factors: production factors and capacity based
factors. Production factors are mostly related to the strategic level of outsourcing
whereas capacity based factors related to the tactical level. The Pike River Coal

Asian Art Museum in San Francisco
During the first week of September, I made a trip with a friend to the Asian Art
Museum in San Francisco. Every first Sunday of the month, admission into the
museum is free. It is my first time to visit there and I was most impressed with the
huge number of Buddhas on display. Most of the pieces are in excellent condition.
It is amazing 600 year old pottery and all these stone statues of Buddha that looks
like it was made yesterday. What really brings this place to life for me are the
brilliant combination of social mixers and live performance events mixed with
cultural education. Asian Art Museum in San Francisco has a collection of about

Moreover, with origins in Pakistan, it is no wonder that their regional depiction of
Maitreya is much different than the Chinese Buddhist images I m used to. Over the
centuries, two main branches of Buddhism emerged: a transmission that traveled to
Southeast Asia, and a transmission that evolved in East Asia.
1. Theravada Buddhism
Theravada is believed to be the oldest form of Buddhism. The term itself comes into
use later, but the Theravada tradition upholds the monastic path and adheres to the
oldest surviving recorded sayings of the Buddha, collectively called the Pali canon.
These original texts were set down in the Pali language by monks in Sri Lanka in the
first century ce. Prior to this codification, teachings had been transmitted orally, and
concern arose that original texts must be preserved in light of the growing heterodoxy
that was developing in India. Theravada recognizes the primacy and humanity of the
historical Buddha. The Buddha was an exemplary figure. Enlightenment is an
arduous task, available only to monks who explicitly pursue the path of Shakyamuni
himself. Theravada is the dominant form of Buddhism today in Sri Lanka as well as
Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. The subject matter of Buddhist
art from these traditions focuses on life events of the Buddha.
2. Mahayana Buddhism
Mahayana is a philosophical movement that proclaimed the possibility of universal
salvation, offering
Picasso s World War II
Picasso s World War II Revolutionary Painting Right from the brink of World War II
in 1939, an abundant amount of distinguished artwork was created in response to the
events that took place before, during, and after the War. There is one painting in
particular that I am referring to. This painting is none other than, famous artist,
Pablo Picasso s painting of Guernica. Guernica is a famous piece of artwork created
in 1937. It depicts the bombings of a Basque Countryvillage in northern Spainby
German and Italian warplanes during the Spanish Civil War. The attack was
unsuspected and unavoidable. Nearly three quarters of the people s homes were
demolished and a large number of their population perished. In the following
paragraphs, I would like to talk briefly about Guernica in the sense of its content
and historical context that pertain to World War II. In the painting known as
Guernica, Picasso portrays a scene of endless violence, suffering, and of course
death. When one looks at the painting of Guernica as a whole, one can see that
there is a lot of conflict going on all at once in this painting. When breaking it down,
first one might notice that in the top left hand corner of the painting there is a bull.
The bull is a symbol for the Spanish rituals of bullfighting which than pertains to the
nature of death from how all these bulls are killed in these fights to the death. Next,
one can depict in the bottom left corner of the painting, a figure who is lying face up
Lord Jim, Heart Of Darkness And The Secret Agent Essay
Joseph Conrad was born on December 3, 1857 and educated primarily in Poland.
After a career at sea in the French and British waters, he wrote short stories and
books like Lord Jim, Heart of Darkness and The Secret Agent. His short stories and
books were mostly about his experiences in remote places with an interest in the dark
side of human nature. ().
Conrad was first taught by his father, but eventually he was placed in the private
schooling. When he was 16 he left Poland and traveled to the port city of
Marseilles in France, where he started his sailor career. After being on the sea for
many years, Conrad finally decided to stay on land for some time. In 1896 he
married Jessie Emmeline George and they had two sons.
Conrad began to write his short stories and books in 1895. The publication of his
first book, Almayer s Folly, an adventure tale set in the Borneo jungles. (). Before
the new century he wrote two of his most famous books. Lord Jim story is about an
outcast young sailor who comes to terms with his past acts of cowardice and
eventually becomes the leader of a small South Seas country. (). Heart of Darkness is
British man s journey deep into the Congo of Africa, where he encounters the cruel
and mysterious Kurtz, a European trader who has established himself as a ruler of the
native people there. ().
Conrad continued as an author and published more books such as Nostromo and The
Secret Agent. Many of his major works first appeared in magazines, followed by the

Matisse s Life And Accomplishments
Henri Emile Benoit Matisse, a well known French influential artist, was born on
December 31, 1869 in LeCateau Cambresis, France. He was a painter, sculptor,
printmaker, and draughtsman, but he was more successful as a painter. Most of the
time, his paintings are usually nudes, figures in landscapes, portraits, interior views,
and his exaggerated form to express emotions made him a successful artist in the
20th century. He had many other artists that influenced him like Vincent van Gogh,
Paul Gauguin, Edward Munch, Paul Signac, John Peter Russell, and Paul Cezanne.

using saturated colors, flattened pictorial space, and strong lines. After he found
his styles, he went to Germany, Italy, Spain, and North Africa to find more
inspirations. He had many famous paintings such as Dance, Blue Nude, The Open

represents a view from his window apartment in Collioure, and the sailboats on

The Circle By Dave Egger
Discussion the process by which The Circle persuades people to give up their right of
privacy
Introduction
Dave Egger s The Circle strongly attacks The silicon Valley Cult that advocates
forgiving people s right of privacy and absolute obedience with a story. In the novel, a
woman called Mae is recruited by a tech firm called The Circle. In the company,
Mae is encouraged and even commanded to sacrifice her right of privacy to
subordinate to the overall interest of The Circle. The essay aims to reveal the how
and to what extent does The Circle persuades its employees to give up their right
of privacy. And then, the nature essence of this behavior of The Circle would be
discussed. In fact, this behavior of The Circle is the ignorance of people s privacy
right and the reflection of interest first . What s more, the advantages and
disadvantages of The Circle s deprivation of its employees privacy right to both of
the firm and the people will be analyzed with several evidences in the novel.
The discussion of how and to what extent does The Circle persuade people to give up
their privacy right
In Dave Egger s novel The Circle , it narrates a real experience of a young woman
called Mae in the tech corporation The Circle . When she firstly entered into The
Circle, she was asked to show her data of her computer and her individual account
password to the superior. As described in the novel, It is astonishment to Mae. When
Mae just sat down on her seat, she was commanded to
Love Of Money In The Great Gatsby
In the Great Gatsby, the main character Nicks moves to New York to learn about
the bond business. He moves to a rich district in the state, where people tend to
show off their wealth and social status. Nick s neighbor Gatsby does this especially,
because he throws major parties every Saturday to display his riches. The real
reason Gatsby does this is because he is attempting to gain the attention of Daisy
whom Gatsby is in lovewith. Daisy, who is married to Tom who is wealthy himself,
lives a comfortable life but in reality she is not happy. Gatsby, with the help of Nick,
tries to win Daisy with his money instead of his heart. Fitzgerald utilizes his
characters through the text the Great Gatsbyand using their perspective to
demonstrate how the love of money brings people to believe that they re happy. In
the Great Gatsby, we see characters such as Gatsby show off their riches to people,
but the reason Gatsby does this is that he is trying to get Daisy s attention. Gatsby
is doing this because the basis of why he could not marry Daisy was because he did
not have much money. While talking with Nick about his previous encounters
with Daisy, Gatsby states that the only reason he believes Daisy fell in love with
another man was because Gatsby was poor. This man which Daisy married is Tom
and from his perspective, we see how the love of money causes Daisy to make
herself believe she has fallen in love with him. He had deliberately given Daisy a
sense of security....that he
Discrimination In America
Many people would say, So it is possible, members of the LGBT community can
successfully adopt children in South Dakota. But that is not my point here. The
fact that this community is being discriminated against in the first place is
disgusting. Someone so cruel and so unaccepting of other people just because they
are different than them, to so much of an extent where they are going to keep a
child from finding a home, is someone that needs to be stopped. Someone who
promotes this kind of behavior should not be able to be in office. They are the
main reason we can not get America to see each other as equals. Starting to accept
people for who they are is the first step in making America a better place to live for
everyone. There are certain
The Beer Industry Is A Competitive
The beer industry is a competitive, many faceted enterprise. In every industry, there
is competition as customers have a variety of product alternatives and every
competitor are collectively competing with one another (Ayub et al, 2013). In
2012, over 1,750 breweries operated in the United States (U.S.), with over 1,920
the following year (Brewers, 2015). The industry s 2013 total dollar retail value
was $7.6 billion dollars as pint consumption amount of 50 billion pints at an
average price of $3.87 per pint (Brewers, 2015). Overall, the industry claims $196
billion in yearly beer revenue, equal value to Columbia s Gross Domestic Product
(GDP (Brewers, 2015). By February 2015, over 28 million beer barrels have been
manufactured, compared against 29 million by February 2014 (DOT, 2015).
Companies are willing to spend capital to achieve a percentage of those returns. In
2012, beer companies spent more than $1 billion on TV ads, an increase from
$950 million in 2009 (Steinberg, 2013). Anheuser Busch averaged about $1.42
billion in advertising per year (Austin, 2012). Molson Coors, on the other hand,
spent over $486 million in advertising and promotion for 2014 (Molson Coors,
2015). As part of developing market strategies, a company should know where it is
strong or slack, as well as consider past experiences and future possibilities. One
such means is a SWOT analysis. The worth of this tool lies in its simplicity and
clarity by scrutinizing the internal
Motivation Of Animals In Mishka The Husky
Humans may be smart, but they wouldn t usually approach a crying person on the
street and try to comfort them. You know who would? A dog. Humans might be the
smartest animals on the planet, but they sure aren t the nicest. Dogs are one of the
nicest animals, and they provide lots of things we humans need. Dogs, and other
animals can provide motivation, protection, and support/comfort for their owners,
(and other animals!)
Animals can provide motivation in many ways. Mishka the Husky can say many
words which all are recorded and posted on YouTube. Just think how much training,
and practice that would take! Animals are very smart, and some could probably be
trained to do anything. Another extremely intelligent animal is the parrot. Everyone
knows parrots can talk, but they can only say certain things that they hear often, not
sing Old MacDonald had a Farm. A parrot went on America s Got Talent and spoke
in multiple languages, sang a variety of songs, and impersonated many animals. What
does this have to do with motivation you ask? Well just think if... Show more content

that aren t bred to protect their owners will try to. I say try because their are a
number of dogs that are incapable of protecting their owners. You think animals only

The Black Hole, An Area Of Spacetime
The black hole, an area of spacetime thats gravity is so strong that it can prevent
anything from escaping, even light. Contrary to popular belief, black holes are not
empty holes in space, but rather a massive amount of matter packed into a small area.
The graphic to the right shows the simulated view of a black holein front of a Large
Magellanic Cloud. The theory of these black holes was conceived in Einstein s
theory of general relativity. It predicts that a plentiful compact mass will contort
spacetime and create a black hole. The black hole acts like a perfect black body, in
the sense that it reflects no light. The area where the nothing can escape is the
event horizon. This event horizon has no features that can be detected from close
up, and has huge effects on what will happen to the object that crosses it. Also,
according to the to quantum field theory in curved spacetime, an event horizon
will emit a black body radiation, also known as Hawking radiation. The graphic to
the right shows where the event horizon, and the black hole itself, are located. It
also shows the accretion disk, which is formed when matter falls into a black hole
and is heated by friction. It is believed that black holes of extreme mass form when
giant stars collapse. After this event, its continues to grow by absorbing the mass
from its surroundings. The way scientists can tell the age of a black hole is by using
the orbits of stars around it. It is believed that supermassive black holes
Surprise Recognition Memory
A person s recognition memory indicates the ability to recognise something they
have seen before when you show it to them. Therefore its been suggested that
objects are ascribed more value because people simply own them (mere ownership
effect). Previous research has shown that our memory is better for objects we own
compared to those of a stranger. Thus the importance of the self relevance effect
shows the tendency for individuals to have better memory for information that relates
to oneself in comparison to material that has less personal relevance. Our experiment
has stemmed from an accumulation of prior literature and has been based off a study
by Cunningham, Turk, Macdonald and Macrae (2008), which was designed to test
ownership on memory performance. The participant s sorted cards into two baskets,
by matching the colour of the sticker to the relevant basket. The experimenter held up
the cards individually, named the item pictured on the card, then handed it to the
relevant participant to put in the correct basket. A surprise recognition memory test of
the item required participants to determine whether the item had previously been seen
or was new and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

in the post scan rating task than the pre scan rating. A whole brain analysis

overall pattern reflects greater deactivation in MPFC for processing unrelated to the

The Freedom Of Speech By The Bill Of Rights
While reading the chapter, The Law, I learned more about the amendments and what
the ones mainly pertaining to criminal justice actually meant. The First, Fourth,
Fifth,Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendment all provide a foundation for our
criminal justice system. There are also many particular protections in The Bill of
Rights. The First Amendment has many different clauses that make it up and I would
say that it is the most important out of the Amendments in regards to the criminal
justicesystem. First of all, the Establishment Clause ensures the individuals from
the administration so they can practice free decision of religion. It keeps the
United States from creating a national religion furthermore keeps the administration
from advertising one religion over an alternate(Fagin, 2014). The Free Exercise
Clause denies the government from meddling with the act of any religion,
including particular ceremonies, requests to God, practices, and convictions(Fagin,
2014). The Freedom of Speech says we are allowed to say or compose whatever
we wish, the length of we don t make an outlandish hazard or place others in harm s
way. Flexibility of discourse augments past verbal and composed correspondence to
different types of declaration like symbolic speech. Mottos on crusade catches,
challenge signs, guard stickers, and even boards are viewed as an authoritative
document of statement which is protected under our Constitution. The importance of

Curl Pattern Vs. Hair Texture
Knowing Your Hair Type: Curl Pattern Vs Hair Texture, What s the Difference? As a
natural hair enthusiast, or as I like to call myself, a Naturalista, I believe it is
important for all those who are considering making the transition, the big chop, or
who have transitioned (from relaxed to natural hair), or have made the big chop to
know the challenges you will face when it comes to making these, in many cases,
life altering decisions. I know this all sounds very dramatic, and for some it is. So,

with the drama. For those of you who have no clue on where to begin, let me say
this: The internet and blogosphere is saturated with naturalistas like myself who have
taken as much, if not more time to learn all there is to know about how to care for
our natural hair.
If you care enough to do the research yourself, you will find that the market for this

starting to make a little more sense? When I think of textures, I think of how
something feels to the touch, to the taste, and even to the sight. Some textures are
smooth and silky, while other textures are rigid and rough. Then, there s this whole

Yukio Mishima s novel The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea, represents the
conflicts between pre WW2 Japan and post WW2 Japan, the author constructs the
novel with characters whose lives are pulled into conflicting directions that portray
the changing culture of Japan during that era. In the novel Fusako, the mother of

many post WWII Japanese women would face, which take place in her life and are

It is said in Japan that a woman who drifts past thirty and remains unmarried will
become the topic of gossip and comment, the assumption being that there must be
something wrong with her to explain her marital status (Friedman), and since Fusako
is thirty three this might justify her desire for another husband. Since Fusako is the
one rushing to have intimate relations with the sailor, it is safe to say that she acting
somewhat like a man since they are usually the first ones to seek intimacy. All of this
represents the author s representation of Fusako as a woman with womanly needs but
also with the urge to get intimate quickly like a man, implying the use of gender
confusion in the novel. The years leading to the start of the world wars, many
women in the Japanese society, just like those of many other societies, were
assigned only to do work in the home, in the early years of the war, Japanese
women were relegated to various volunteer associations, which did not involve
direct factory work. However, by 1943, the loss of men required that able women
work in factories (Japanese Women). How those this pertain to the novel? Well, we
could assume that Fusako was one of those women that the Japan relied on to help
with the war. With that being said, it is implied that she was given a high
The War And Its Effects On The Middle East And Europe
Introduction
The crisis in Syria is seemingly endless. There are two main forces in Syria. Syrian
rebels against President Bashar al Assad s regime abruptly emerged due to the
discontent of the dictatorship and demand for democracy, and the government
forces has been tried to suppress the furious rebel in order to maintain Assad s
dictatorial regime. Because of the collision between two antagonists that seem to
never agree each other, people in Syrian are suffering from the devastating and
nonselective bombing. Approximately, 250,000 people have died from the conflict,
and over 4.5 million Syrians have migrated to different neighboring countries in
Middle East and Europe (BBC News 2016). The civil war has been gone for years
and years; however, the devastating war and inhumane government attack on people
do not seem to be terminated. Because of the enlarging scale of the civil war, the
global society considered the severity as one of the international affairs, and the
United Nations eventually came up with a plan for resolution.
Despite the effort of the United Nations on a draft resolution for Syrian war crisis,
passing the draft resolution through was not easy, and it has not been passed yet.
There were some countries who did not agree to pass the draft resolution for Syrian
civil war; the main countries who used veto power were Russia and China, the
permanent member of the UN. According to the resolution on the human rights

Toronto Use Public Transportation
Everyday people in Toronto travel to places using public transportation. Without
public transportation, we wouldn t be able to go to places that are far away from us.
We needed them in our everyday life but there are key problems that surfaces when

it may not seem ideal for them from certain circumstances such as the cost, lack of
transportation in a certain area and the delays. These make people not want to ride a

another issue when it comes to waiting for a bus for twenty minutes. For a change,
we should have trains and buses come frequently in times of rush hours at popular
destinations. It saves people valuable time and they can get home earlier to their

Guidelines For Improving Hand Hygiene Compliance
Improving Hand Hygiene Compliance
Stan Tran
Gwynedd Mercy University
9/20/16
Abstract
Among all nursing students and the majority of healthcare professionals, hand
hygiene is understood to be a simple and important method of reducing nosocomial
infections among patients. The guidelines stated by the CDC delineate specific, step
by step recommendations in order to perform adequate handwashing. Though it may
be proven and well understood, the actual compliance demonstrated by healthcare
workers is severely lacking. The purpose of this literature review is to identify
methods that help ensure continued compliance in reducing the transmission of
communicable diseases via adequate handwashing. Approximately four research
articles were selected to provide an overview of various methods used to promoting
handwashing compliance. The methods used in selecting these articles were as
follows: hand hygiene, improve compliance, and nursing. Articles older than seven
years were excluded. An exception was made for an electronic publication detailing
the history of infection control and asepsis; this was strictly chosen for its content
despite being published in 2005. The following outcomes which may yield positive
results were identified: increased education, implementing friendly reminders
throughout the facility, installing additional handwashing stations or appropriate
substitutes such as alcohol based cleansers, and using student nurses as handwashing
ambassadors. Due to the lack

Essay on William Morris
William Morris
William Morris (1834 1896) was perhaps the most important British decorative artist
of the 19th century. A prolific designer, craftsman and decorator, his work and ideas
have had a major influence on the development of modern interior design.
William Morris was one of the most influential figures in the
Victorian and Edwardian art world. As a young man at Oxford he became involved
with the Pre Raphaelite movements, mixing with such artists as Dante Gabriel
Rossetti, William Holman Hunt and Edward Coley
Burne Jones.
Always a man of innovation, Morris soon tired of the subject matter and philosophy
of the Pre Raphaelites. His desire for social reform was also an important factor in
his artistic growth and he moved on

Instead of using a genuine shade of indigo, the design was printed in a Prussian blue,
the nearest to indigo that could be achieved using modern aniline dyes. This led
William Morris to speak out against the capitalist forces, which he considered had
brought his industry to a very bad state. Henceforward there is an absolute divorce
between the commercial process and the art of printing. Anyone wanting to produce
dyed textiles with any artistic quality in them must entirely forego the modern and
commercial methods in favour of those which are at least as old as Pliny...
In other words, William Morris ended his connection with Clarkson (who printed
the design) and abandoned production of Tulip and Willow. He also set up a tiny
dye house in the basement and scullery of his house in Queen Square, hoping that he
might find his own solution to the problem. In fact it was only in 1883, after he had
established himself at Merton Abbey, that he was finally able to produce a
satisfactory printing of Tulip and Willow.
Preliminary Design
Morris s intricate flower patterns, which seem so effortless and casual in their final
form, were achieved after long hours of patient designing and the production of
dozens of different designs. This preliminary stage was important, as Morris
recognised. In a lecture called Making the Best of It , delivered in 1879, he offered

Questions On English And Russian
In this essay, I will be discussing my experiences with modals in English and
Russian. The purpose of my project is to investigate the differences in the usage
and meanings of modals between the two languages. My focus will be on the
modal, must, and what contexts it is mainly used for. I will start by discussing
what was particularly challenging about this project. Modals are a highly complex
area of grammar both in English and Russian. Several of the texts I have consulted
for my project remark on the difficulty of teaching and learning modals. In English,
there is a certain level of ambiguity when it comes to the meanings of modals.
Depending on what context they are used in, modals can mean several different
things and fall into two main categories: epistemic of deontic (Haan, 1995). The
modal I am focusing on, must or dolЕѕen, corresponds semantically only to the root
or fictive modals in English. This fact is the very core of great pedagogical
difficulty in teaching these Russian modal auxiliaries to English speaking students
(Croft, 1975). Initially, it was challenging even finding articles about Russian
modals. The articles I discovered did not have a comprehensive list of Russian
modals which made it more difficult to understand. This area of grammar is widely
studied in English, but not so in Russian. Corpus investigations of modality in other
languages is lagging behind, (Haan, 1995) which is why it was difficult to find a
Russian corpus to analyze for

the reader lose interest and stop reading. Short storiesare stories told minimally

Reilly creates a connection between the reader and the people who are on the
plane, by remarking on who these people are and what they have done. For
example, Reilly puts, One was publicist Mark Bingham, 31, who helped Cal win the
1991 and 93 national collegiate rugby championship. (Reilly). This tells us about
Mark Bingham, and events that he took place in, while not going into detail on the
rugby championship, or how he won the championships. Reilly does this with a few
people giving background information, so that we can relate, and understand them.
After this, Reilly transitions to a sentimental way of writing, by explaining the calls
the passengers on the plane had to make. Calling parents, and a 12 week old
daughter to say goodbye to them, makes you feel for the passengers and the position
they are in, making you care for them even more. The pacing takes a steep turn as the
subject is brought back inside the plane, and people figuring out other planes have
been hijacked and that this plane was heading towards Washington. This shows that
the events inside the plane happened quickly, and Reilly gets straight to the point on
determining what happened. Coming from this, the next two paragraphs which also
have 4 sentences, determine the outcome of the people and the plane, which show the
pace of the author. Reilly put in the short story,

Comparing Jamestown and the Plymouth Plantation
Massachusetts Plymouth Plantation and Virginia s Jamestown are two of the most

these colonies had very famous leaders: Captain John Smith was the leader of
Jamestown, and William Bradford from the Plymouth Plantation. Not only did each
of the colonies corresponding communities have differences grounded in their own
purpose for traveling across the waters, but both communities also displayed
similarities in their motivations for making America their new home. First, the
many people who headed towards Jamestown and Plymouth were people of status
and wealth. These people were the small percentile that could afford to travel and
pay the incredibly high fee for such a travel. Coming into America was a chance
for them to explore new found territory and experience life without the rules of the
monarchy that was held in England. As a first look at their leaders, Jamestown s
Captain Smith was a dangerous man and very powerful one, and so much so that
he authorized people to brutally murder his own soldiers and would threaten
people s lives if they did not want to be a part of his ship s crew. Fascinatingly
enough, Smith was a good leader to many Native tribes in different regions of the
world; he helped by supplying these communities with food and weapons.
Consequently, all of his good deeds would end up winning him the respect and

The Basics Of Mediation Between An Addict And A Victim
Of...
When I was nine years old, I was forced to learn the basics of mediation between an
addict and a victim of abuse. I think about the paths I could have taken, had I not
met the right people. The culture clichГ©s I could have so easily followed had I
chosen to conform rather than create an opportunity for myself. Through the use
of persuasive communication, I was able to guide my father away from violence. I
remember having trouble my early years of school as I soon became my father s
drinking partner. He needed someone to talk to at late hours of the night and I was
always available. I would like to say that I am motivated by the positivity in my
life, but that would be a lie. In return I do believe it that the negativity I
experienced early on and difficulties I faced in childhood that helped shape my
focus as I experimented with different careers and fields of study. I have
continuously battled the culture of patriarchy entrenched through my background
and authority figures. I had to battle my autocratic ruler mentally, verbally and in
unfortunate instances physically. Although my animosity for my mother s inability
to walk away from my father s dominance grew as an adult, I was enlightened by
her willingness to serve others. I grew up in a border city, known for its inability to
progress and recalled for its femicides. These femicides were an epidemic that
casually built up awareness through media but fizzled out against what news
producers believed to be more
Social Mobility In Mexico And The United States
Social Mobility is the ability of an individual s socioeconomic status to change from
one ranking of social class to another. Social mobility is different around and some
countries have less chances of the chances of social mobility than others due to many
different economic and educational factors. Whilst analyzing Mexico and the United
Statesof America, both countries socioeconomic mobility is very different. Economic
factors piece an important role in producing or stopping social mobility. Expansion of
the economy creates increased upward mobility. Mexico s economic factors and
other types of cultural means makes it difficult for people in Mexico to climb the
social ladder higher to another class, thus explains and includes other studies... Show

Based on the historical trend of the 20th century an increase in economic earnings
was observed from the first generation to the second generations by 5 10 percent
(Borjas, 2006). If the historical trend proceeds to continue for the future, present day
immigrants who face low wages will have children that are second generation
American labor workers in 2030 that could potentially face a wage disadvantage of
about 10 percent, but on average, the socioeconomic performance of offspring of
immigrants exceeds that of their parents. (Borjas, 2006). There is a larger variation in
socioeconomic status among ethnic groups in the first and second generations. Some
national origin groups, typically those originating in advanced economies, fare well
in the U.S. labor market, but on the other than other national origin groups, typically
originating in poorer countries face much
How Did Mali And Songhai Affect The West African Trade...
The rulers of Ghana controlled the trade of their kingdom and collected taxes on
salt from the north. From the south of the kingdom came gold that fed the king s
wealth. This gold came from the Senegal and Niger rivers and was in great demand
across the Sahara. Ghana was a sort of meeting place in which the north and the
south traded. From the north came ceramics, glass, oil lamps, and salt, from the south
came kola nuts, palm oil, copper, and gold. Ghana became a wealthy trading empire.
Maliand Songhai were also affected because they neighbored Ghana so they were in
similar circumstances. When they were at war and Mali took over the Ghana gold
mines, they tried to establish salt trades. Several kings later the Songhai took over the
gold mines... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Portuguese had no interest in the cowrie shells that the Kongo had previously
traded with the people around them. The Portuguese wanted gold, but the Kongo had
no gold, so they settled on trading slaves to the Portuguese in return for goods. The
slaves were treated by the Kongo like they were any other person in the world, while
the Portuguese treated them like they were monsters. The Portuguese started trading
something quite new: guns. The Portuguese guns could be used to protect the slaves
from slave raiders, but the only way to get this product was to trade slaves for it.
Eventually, the Kongo king agreed to trade his own enslaved people for the guns.
After a while, the Kongo king started supporting the slave trade because it increased
his own wealth and power.
The Kongo didn t mistreat their slaves. They kept the slaves with their families and
made sure that they could eventually earn their freedom. The Portuguese on the other
hand, treated the slaves so bad that some of them died from being worked so hard.
Slaves died from poor conditions and treatment so often that the Portuguese would
have to obtain more slaves. In order to get their hands on the slaves, the merchants
would do almost anything, even purposely start a war between
Western Themes In The Film Mad Max 2
The 1970 s and 1980 s was considered to be a golden period in Australian cinema,
with many classic Australian films, such as Crocodile Dundee, being released during
this era. One such film that helped develop Australia s reputation in the film industry
on an international level, was the Mad Max trilogy, specifically Mad Max 2, released
in 1981.
Despite being a post apocalyptic film, Mad Max 2 reflects themes of an old Western
movie, with Max, a former sheriff, mirroring a Western hero, with his car in place
of a horse, driving throughout a barren wasteland (Ratto, 2014, pp.78). After
rescuing a man having been attacked by a group of outlaws, knows as The
Marauders, Max returns the injured man to his settlement and goes on to help the
entire settlement escape from The Marauders. This resemblance to an old Western
film, gave Mad Max 2 the ability to break into the international film market, which
was at the time (and still today) dominated by American films, especially old
Westerns. The success of the first and second Mad Max films also resulted in a boom
in production of Australian films, resulting in more making it on an international
market. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A common theme in many post apocalyptic films, is that of technology being the
cause of the event that formed the post apocalyptic world, or else have, the
apocalyptic catastrophe often destroy the technology and infrastructures of the
modern world (Harris, 2016, pp.14). Whilst most technology in Mad Max 2 is non
existence, the emphasis on vehicles differs Mad Max 2 from other films in the post
apocalyptic genre, instead showing the power of technology as those with cars and
the skills to drive them, give them an advantage over those without, along with the
necessities of survival. The themes of Road Warrior are fundamentally based
on...technological might overcoming ugly savagery. (Harris, 2016,
Columbia University College Of Physicians And Surgeons
Essay
Columbia University had been my undergraduate dream school but despite a 4.00
high school GPA and a competitive SAT score, I thought it to be beyond my reach
and did not apply. I vowed to never doubt myself again and when it came time to
construct a list of medical schools to apply to, Columbia University was at the top.
If I said I expected an interview, I d be lying. There were plenty of me s around the
country who had probably applied to Columbia. Same MCAT score, same GPA,
extracurricular activities that were just as impressive. So why would I, of all
people, get an interview? When I got the interview invite, I felt a sense of
accomplishment. Here I was with an opportunity to go pursue the school of my
dreams. Now it was a matter of proving to the admissions staff that I d be a good
addition to their student body. Despite what happens, my interview experience at
Columbia UniversityCollege of Physicians and Surgeons is one I ll never forget for
two reasons: The Dean of Admissions was not just the Dean of Admissions
Ever been in a huge lecture hall for a college course? Can you say, without a doubt,
that your teacher could match every face in the class to a name? What about if your
teacher could recite significant fact about each student in the class? My answer to
these questions are no. Coming from an undergraduate school with about 40,000
students, most of my science/ prerequisite courses had a class size of at least 300. If
the professor knew anything about me, it

Style Analysis Essay

  • 1. Style Analysis Essay Crafting a Style Analysis Essay can prove to be a challenging endeavor, demanding a delicate balance between analytical prowess and eloquent expression. The inherent difficulty lies not only in dissecting the intricate nuances of a writer's style but also in articulating these observations with clarity and coherence. To embark on this journey, one must possess a keen eye for detail, delving into the author's choice of words, sentence structure, and rhetorical devices. This requires a deep understanding of literary elements and an ability to connect these elements to the overarching theme or purpose of the text. The complexity further intensifies as one navigates the subjective nature of stylistic interpretation. What may resonate profoundly with one reader might elude another, making it imperative to substantiate claims with concrete evidence from the text. This calls for a meticulous examination of passages, often necessitating multiple readings to unearth subtleties that might escape a casual glance. Moreover, the essayist must grapple with the challenge of weaving together a cohesive narrative that not only explicates the identified stylistic elements but also elucidates their impact on the overall meaning of the work. Crafting a seamless transition between analysis and interpretation demands a deft touch, as the essay should not read like a disjointed enumeration of literary devices but rather as a unified exploration of the author's unique voice. In essence, the difficulty of composing a Style Analysis Essay lies in the intricate interplay between subjectivity and objectivity, between the artistry of the writer under scrutiny and the analytical acumen of the critic. It is a task that requires a fusion of literary insight, linguistic proficiency, and persuasive writing skills. And, should the endeavor prove too daunting, one might find solace in the fact that similar essays and more can be readily commissioned on platforms like HelpWriting.net, where skilled writers stand ready to navigate the complexities of stylistic analysis on your behalf. • 2. The Cotton Gin The institution of slavery in the southern states of the United States of America was primarily based on economics rather than some type of natural admiration of the practice itself. When the Mason Dixon line was created in the 1760s, Eli Whitney s revolutionary cotton gin, which would eventually set slavery in the South, had not been created yet. However, there were still lines being drawn between the more industrial based economy of the North and the more agricultural economy of the South. Slavery shaped the economic backbone of the South, and as it became more widespread after Eli Whitney s invention of the cotton gin, it became as strong as the political and social foundation of Southern character as well. Although there were times... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This production led to an economic strength that made these states even more determined to defend the right to practice slavery. Despite the freedoms demanded in the Declaration of Independence and the freedoms reserved in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, such as Amendment X (Document 1), slavery was both tolerated and classified in the Constitution. The South was also able to withstand the growing number of revolts, rebellions, and northern political opposition that was rising. Proclamations such as the Fugitive Slaves Law were established to provide for the return of slaves who escaped from one state into another state or territory, and the Underground Railroad became a serious threat to Southern plantation owners who needed more slaves to maintain their economic power. The Nat Turner revolt and the writings and speeches of the former slave Frederick Douglass were contributors to the growing conflict, but the South defended their claim to economic security through the practice of slavery until it became legally impossible to do so after the Civil War. Frederick Douglass vividly described his past years as a slave in the first of three autobiographies, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave, which was published in 1845. He later wrote the two autobiographies, My Bondage and My Freedom, and The Life and Times of Frederick Douglass, which mark his greatest contributions to southern culture. The Qin Dynasty And Its Impact On The Culture Of China Essay Throughout its history, China has gone through transformations that have left their mark; certain central aspects have endured while others have remained the same. Regardless of what changed and what endured, the events that took place from the Qin to the Tang Dynasties shaped the philosophies, religions, governments, and the culture of China. The Qin dynasty was perhaps one of the most revolutionary governments in the ancient world, but not in the modern progressive connotation of that concept. The Qin Emperor, Shi Huangdi, and his court executed an unprecedented departure from the Confucian ideals of the Benevolent and unobtrusive ruler and established a much more autocratic and centralized government. This new method of rule and philosophic thought was known as Legalism, which surfaced as a response to a time of great political instability. Therefore, Legalism promoted values that opposed those championed by Confucian thought, such as decisiveness, a lack of trust, and severe punishment, qualities that are reflected in The Legalist Teachings. Changing the Laws in one such passage in this document that stresses the importance of acting with confidence stating how those who hesitate to act accomplish nothing ВЁ (Ebrey, Legalist Teachings, pg. 32). In addition to promoting decisive action, the text also seeks to justify such a massive departure of how an ideal government should act by arguing stating the sage does not stick to ancient laws if he can strengthen his state

It was bright, lustrous coking coal with several properties that was sought after by the international steel makers. Over the centuries, two main branches of Buddhism emerged: a transmission that traveled to Southeast Asia, and a transmission that evolved in East Asia. 1. Theravada Buddhism Theravada is believed to be the oldest form of Buddhism. The term itself comes into use later, but the Theravada tradition upholds the monastic path and adheres to the oldest surviving recorded sayings of the Buddha, collectively called the Pali canon. These original texts were set down in the Pali language by monks in Sri Lanka in the first century ce. Prior to this codification, teachings had been transmitted orally, and concern arose that original texts must be preserved in light of the growing heterodoxy that was developing in India. Theravada recognizes the primacy and humanity of the historical Buddha. The Buddha was an exemplary figure. Guernica is a famous piece of artwork created in 1937. It depicts the bombings of a Basque Countryvillage in northern Spainby German and Italian warplanes during the Spanish Civil War. The attack was unsuspected and unavoidable. Nearly three quarters of the people s homes were demolished and a large number of their population perished. In the following paragraphs, I would like to talk briefly about Guernica in the sense of its content and historical context that pertain to World War II. In the painting known as Guernica, Picasso portrays a scene of endless violence, suffering, and of course death. When one looks at the painting of Guernica as a whole, one can see that there is a lot of conflict going on all at once in this painting. When breaking it down, first one might notice that in the top left hand corner of the painting there is a bull. The bull is a symbol for the Spanish rituals of bullfighting which than pertains to the nature of death from how all these bulls are killed in these fights to the death. In 2012, over 1,750 breweries operated in the United States (U.S.), with over 1,920 the following year (Brewers, 2015). The industry s 2013 total dollar retail value was $7.6 billion dollars as pint consumption amount of 50 billion pints at an average price of $3.87 per pint (Brewers, 2015). Overall, the industry claims $196 billion in yearly beer revenue, equal value to Columbia s Gross Domestic Product (GDP (Brewers, 2015). By February 2015, over 28 million beer barrels have been manufactured, compared against 29 million by February 2014 (DOT, 2015). Companies are willing to spend capital to achieve a percentage of those returns. In 2012, beer companies spent more than $1 billion on TV ads, an increase from $950 million in 2009 (Steinberg, 2013). It predicts that a plentiful compact mass will contort spacetime and create a black hole. The black hole acts like a perfect black body, in the sense that it reflects no light. The area where the nothing can escape is the event horizon. This event horizon has no features that can be detected from close up, and has huge effects on what will happen to the object that crosses it. All of this represents the author s representation of Fusako as a woman with womanly needs but also with the urge to get intimate quickly like a man, implying the use of gender confusion in the novel. The years leading to the start of the world wars, many women in the Japanese society, just like those of many other societies, were assigned only to do work in the home, in the early years of the war, Japanese women were relegated to various volunteer associations, which did not involve direct factory work. However, by 1943, the loss of men required that able women work in factories (Japanese Women). How those this pertain to the novel? Guidelines For Improving Hand Hygiene Compliance Improving Hand Hygiene Compliance Stan Tran Gwynedd Mercy University 9/20/16 Abstract Among all nursing students and the majority of healthcare professionals, hand hygiene is understood to be a simple and important method of reducing nosocomial infections among patients. The guidelines stated by the CDC delineate specific, step by step recommendations in order to perform adequate handwashing. Though it may be proven and well understood, the actual compliance demonstrated by healthcare workers is severely lacking. The purpose of this literature review is to identify methods that help ensure continued compliance in reducing the transmission of communicable diseases via adequate handwashing. Approximately four research articles were selected to provide an overview of various methods used to promoting handwashing compliance. The methods used in selecting these articles were as follows: hand hygiene, improve compliance, and nursing. Articles older than seven years were excluded. An exception was made for an electronic publication detailing the history of infection control and asepsis; this was strictly chosen for its content despite being published in 2005. The following outcomes which may yield positive results were identified: increased education, implementing friendly reminders throughout the facility, installing additional handwashing stations or appropriate substitutes such as alcohol based cleansers, and using student nurses as handwashing ambassadors. A prolific designer, craftsman and decorator, his work and ideas have had a major influence on the development of modern interior design. William Morris was one of the most influential figures in the Victorian and Edwardian art world. As a young man at Oxford he became involved with the Pre Raphaelite movements, mixing with such artists as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Holman Hunt and Edward Coley Burne Jones. Always a man of innovation, Morris soon tired of the subject matter and philosophy of the Pre Raphaelites. Instead of using a genuine shade of indigo, the design was printed in a Prussian blue, the nearest to indigo that could be achieved using modern aniline dyes. This led William Morris to speak out against the capitalist forces, which he considered had brought his industry to a very bad state. Henceforward there is an absolute divorce between the commercial process and the art of printing. Anyone wanting to produce dyed textiles with any artistic quality in them must entirely forego the modern and commercial methods in favour of those which are at least as old as Pliny... In other words, William Morris ended his connection with Clarkson (who printed the design) and abandoned production of Tulip and Willow. He also set up a tiny dye house in the basement and scullery of his house in Queen Square, hoping that he might find his own solution to the problem. In fact it was only in 1883, after he had established himself at Merton Abbey, that he was finally able to produce a satisfactory printing of Tulip and Willow. Preliminary Design Morris s intricate flower patterns, which seem so effortless and casual in their final form, were achieved after long hours of patient designing and the production of dozens of different designs. This preliminary stage was important, as Morris recognised. In a lecture called Making the Best of It , delivered in 1879, he offered these words of advice to potential designers: no amount of
  • 34. Questions On English And Russian In this essay, I will be discussing my experiences with modals in English and Russian. The purpose of my project is to investigate the differences in the usage and meanings of modals between the two languages. My focus will be on the modal, must, and what contexts it is mainly used for. I will start by discussing what was particularly challenging about this project. Modals are a highly complex area of grammar both in English and Russian. Several of the texts I have consulted for my project remark on the difficulty of teaching and learning modals. In English, there is a certain level of ambiguity when it comes to the meanings of modals. Depending on what context they are used in, modals can mean several different things and fall into two main categories: epistemic of deontic (Haan, 1995). The modal I am focusing on, must or dolЕѕen, corresponds semantically only to the root or fictive modals in English. This fact is the very core of great pedagogical difficulty in teaching these Russian modal auxiliaries to English speaking students (Croft, 1975). Initially, it was challenging even finding articles about Russian modals. The articles I discovered did not have a comprehensive list of Russian modals which made it more difficult to understand. This area of grammar is widely studied in English, but not so in Russian. Corpus investigations of modality in other languages is lagging behind, (Haan, 1995) which is why it was difficult to find a Russian corpus to analyze for

This tells us about Mark Bingham, and events that he took place in, while not going into detail on the rugby championship, or how he won the championships. Reilly does this with a few people giving background information, so that we can relate, and understand them. The pacing takes a steep turn as the subject is brought back inside the plane, and people figuring out other planes have been hijacked and that this plane was heading towards Washington. This shows that the events inside the plane happened quickly, and Reilly gets straight to the point on determining what happened.
