Immigration Argumentative Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of immigration can be a challenging but rewarding task. The
difficulty lies not only in the extensive research required to present a comprehensive argument
but also in navigating the sensitive nature of the subject. Immigration is a multifaceted issue that
encompasses economic, social, and political dimensions, making it crucial to approach the topic
with a balanced perspective.
Crafting a strong argumentative essay on immigration demands a thorough understanding of the
various perspectives surrounding the issue. Researchers must delve into historical contexts,
analyze statistical data, and explore the socio-cultural implications to develop a well-informed
stance. Moreover, the essay should be grounded in credible sources, adding complexity to the
task as the field of immigration studies is constantly evolving.
Additionally, one must carefully consider the emotional aspect of immigration, as it involves
human lives and diverse experiences. Striking the right tone to convey empathy while
maintaining objectivity can be challenging. The writer must be sensitive to the struggles of
immigrants while addressing the concerns and fears that some may have about immigration
policies.
Structuring the essay is another aspect that adds to the complexity. Balancing the introduction,
body, and conclusion while ensuring a logical flow of ideas requires meticulous planning. The
thesis statement needs to be strong and clear, guiding the reader through the essay's
argumentative trajectory.
In conclusion, writing an argumentative essay on immigration is a demanding task that requires
in-depth research, careful consideration of multiple perspectives, and a nuanced approach to a
complex and emotionally charged topic. However, with the right resources and a structured
approach, it is possible to create a compelling and well-rounded essay that contributes
meaningfully to the ongoing discourse on immigration.

The Ottoman Empire and Judaism
The reason the Jews went to the Ottoman Empire was because the Christians
persecuted them because of their different beliefs. The Jews were so scared of what
the Christians might do they wanted to settle in a safer place which the Ottomans
offered them. The Ottomans offering them land was the best thing the Jewscould have
asked for. The Ottomans offered the Jews protection, offered them communal
autonomy and tolerated their religious practices. The Ottomans at the time had a rule
about non Muslims having to pay a tax, which is called the Jitza. The Muslims
considered Jews and Christians dhimmi or the people of the pact. The dhimmi we
issued to pay the jitza, and where forced to follow these rules; prohibition against
carrying fire arms, against riding horses, against building new houses or worship or
even repairing old ones, against proselytism, against building homes higher than
Muslim ones, and they must wear distinctive clothing. Even after all of these rules the
Jewish community still thrived in the Ottoman Empire. The population of Jews in the
Ottoman Empire was very distinct and was coming from different places. The most
noticeable and most studied among the Jews in the Ottoman Empire were the
Sephardim. The Sephardim had great political and cultural influence on the Ottoman
Empire. The Jews became very valuable to the Ottomans because of the ties they had
with Europe. Europeans brought new languages and technologies including the
newest forms in medicine,

The Benefits Of Oleuropein, A Diet Rich On The Compound
Considering all the benefits of oleuropein, a diet rich in the compound is definitely
recommended for companion animals as well as livestock and a great candidate to be
considered by Acidophil. Currently a lot of alternatives for chemotherapeutic and
antibiotic substances being used as growth promoters in livestock are being explored
due to the problems associated with them. There is an obvious risk of consuming
residues antibiotic substance by humans. Also, there is an increased risk of
consuming antibiotic resistant microorganisms through products derived from
animals that were given antibiotic growth promoters. Using natural products can
provide the same benefits without risks while promoting weight increase and feed
conversion in livestock.
The quality of products acquired from livestock will be improved as well due to the
addition of oleuropein. According to Elgaard, et.al (2004), the inventive additive
reduces the usage of other antioxidants such as vitamin E and selenium in production
animals and pets, has antimicrobial and antiviral characteristics, improves nitrogen
utilization, and improves the nutrient substance utilization generally.
Resveratrol
Resveratrol belongs the compound class stilbene that exists naturally in a variety of
plants. However, high concentrations are observed in the skin of grapes and peanuts.
In plants resveratrol works by protecting against bacterial and fungal attacks (Naylor

Social Psychological Barriers Of Violence On Youth And...
Youth in today s society are faced with numerous social psychological barriers that
get in the way of healthy development. Urban youth are faced with even more of
these barriers such as homelessness, mental health issues, negative influences,
poverty, racism, stereotypes and exposure to violence. Table 1 addresses these social
psychological barriers, defines them and provides sources from current journal
articles that speak about them. Many of these barriers do not happen in isolation
alone, but are connected and intertwine. For instance students living in poverty often
have to deal with homelessness and students faced with racism often come face to
face with stereotypes in their culture. This paper will examine in depth the social
psychological barrier of violenceand analyze how it impacts students performance and
achievement. Exposure to violence (from hearing about to witnessing or even being
victimized by) can be very traumatic for children and youthand affect brain
development leading to lasting effects that can continue well into adulthood. Students
living in urban neighborhoods are often exposed to more violent crime, murder,
stabbings, shootings, rape, robbery, and assaults than students living in suburban or
rural neighborhoods. Studies show that over 85% of urban youth report witnessing
some form of community violence in their lifetime and almost 70% report direct
victimization (McDonald, Deatrick, Kassam Adams, Richmond, 2011, p. 925).

Symbolic Interactionism In Sociology
Social Theory Essay Sociology views and analyzes people in multiple aspects as
well as at a macro and a micro level. There are three main theories that sociologists
have formulated which, when used together, help to explain our social lives and the
different facets of it. Symbolic interactionism is one of these theories, and will be
the focus of this essay. Each theory is a lens in which we can view social life, and so
each theory differs in their interpretation of it. In order to evaluate and analyze how
symbolic interactionismis utilized within sociology, there will be a focus on how it is
applied to a certain aspect of U.S. culture. This aspect will be the symbols of fitness
and muscle reflecting masculinity and femininity. However,... Show more content on

Symbols are defined as things that we attach meaning to such as: school, love, and
cellphones. Understanding symbols is key to how we view the world and
communicate with one another . Symbols have meaning attached to them, so
without them, we would not be able to distinguish our relationships. There is no
distinction between police officers from criminals, mothers from teachers, or
brothers from sisters. In defining our relationships, we know whom to respect and
whom we owe our obligations to, as well as who gives us our privileges (p. 23).
And so, symbols allow people to define how they will behave and perceive others.
Symbols do not necessarily have to be designated to humans. They can also be
designated to other things as well. Symbols give meaning to books, pets, as well as
time of day, such as afternoon or midnight. These symbols allow for the coordination
of planning and actions as people can plan get togethers, blueprints, and classroom
discussions. Symbol meanings and ideas can also change over time, whether it be
overnight, or over generations. One can change from friend to boyfriend overnight,
but ideas of equality have changed and been modified throughout history. And so,
symbols are not essential to only individual people, but to society as well. Symbols
have meaning not only in the now, but have had meanings in the past and the future,
although the meaning may not have been the
Crime Bail Research Paper
When a person has been arrested, it can help to learn all about the process for
getting them released. Having knowledge makes the entire experience less
frightening for everyone involved from the person who was arrested to their loved
ones.
What is Bail?
When officials talk about bail, they are referring to the money the defendent or
loved one pays to get the arrested person released from jail. A defendent who is
released from jail has to return for all court appearances. The bail is used as an
incentive to ensure the person returns for those court dates in the future.
Bail might be denied in some cases depending on the details of the crime as well as
the person s history. If they ve been released on bail and not returned for their court ...

If the defendant fails to appear in court, the bail agent will attempt to collect the
money owed from the defendant. If the agent is unable to do so, he or she will

A bail bond agent can walk a loved one through the process of releasing an
individual from jail. Most bail agents are familiar with how confusing and upsetting
it is for those who are trying to secure bond for another. They ll be able to
Psychological Effects Of Cocaine Use
Psychological Effects of Cocaine Use
Richard Estes
Caledonia Mumford High School
Abstract In this paper the many physical and psychological effects of Cocaine use
will be presented to the reader. The reader will be able to see the rough timeline of
Cocaine use and how it has evolved into the narcotic that is seen today. It will be
clear to see just how much the theories on the drug has changed throughout history
as a one point Sigmund Freud himself promoted the drug as healthy and could see
no fault within its effects (UXL Encyclopedia of Science, 2015). In today s world it
is clear that cocaine is in fact dangerous and it is up to the reader to decide whether
the physical effects or psychological effects are more drastic.
Psychological Effect Caused by Cocaine Use Coke, C, Toot, Flake, Snow, Booga
Suga, the list of names goes on and on but one thing that all these have in common
is that they all refer to one drug, cocaine (Feinberg 1984). Cocaine is a very
addicting drug and contrary to early belief can and will cause gross psychological
and some physical effects. The wonder drug as it was so affectionately called has
turned out to not be wonderful at all. Cocaine use began roughly around the late
fifteenth century, majorly anyway, when the Spanish began giving raw coca leaves
to their workers as it enabled them to do massive amounts of work in their gold and
silver mines (UXL Encyclopedia of Science, 2015). It was not
Ronald Reagan And Terrorism Essay
Ronald Reagan was fond of quoting John Adams, who famously said: Facts are
stubborn things. So when Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif made public
pronouncements about fighting extremism, the facts show that his comments are
ironic at best and little more than insincere propaganda.
The fact is that Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism, with government
officials directly responsible for numerous terrorist attacks since 1979. These include
suicide bombings of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and the Marine barracks at Beirut
International Airport; the bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia in 1996;
attacks against more than a dozen embassies in Iran, including those of Britain, the
U.S. and Saudi Arabia; and the assassination of diplomats ... Show more content on

last year, Iranian leaders have taken to pointing fingers at others to assign blame for
the regional problems that they helped create. But before buying into their rhetoric,
consider a few questions: Which country issues a fatwa for the execution of author
Salman Rushdie, a death threat that is still in force today? (Iran.) What country has
attacked more than a dozen embassies inside its own territory in violation of all
international laws? (Iran.) What country managed, planned and executed the 1996
attack in Khobar Towers against the American Marines? (Iran.) Do these answers
describe a country that is serious about combating terrorism and extremism?
The rest of the Islamic world has unanimously condemned Iran s behavior. In Istanbul
in April, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation formally rejected and deplored Iran
s policies of sectarianism, interference in the affairs of others and support for
terrorism.
Saudi Arabia is a leader in the war against terrorism. My country brought the world
together for an international conference in 2005 to align nations in the fight against
terrorism. The kingdom contributed more than $100 million to create a global center
for counterterrorism at the United Nations and established a 40 member Islamic
Military Coalition to combat terrorism and extremism. It also is a member of the

Symbolism In Jane Eyre
In Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre spends her childhood, along with part
of her adulthood, trying to find a true family. The Victorian novel is narrated by
Jane, past and present, and lets the reader in on what Jane is thinking and how she
reacts internally. Jane begins narrating her life at Gateshead and ends the novel at
the manor house of Ferndean. Jane visits several places in between and encounters
many people, good and bad. As Jane meets new people, she assesses them,
checking to see if they are worthy of being the family she has been searching for.
Bronte conveys that Jane s pursuit of family is impacted by her self respect by
utilizing the symbol of fire and ice. Jane s quest begins at Gateshead with her aunt,
Mrs. Reed, and her cousins. Gateshead is a cruel place with cruel people. John
Reed, one of Jane s cousins, taunts her and engages in physical attacks on Jane. The
day on which the novel opens is described as having a cold winter wind [that] had
brought with it [sombre clouds] and [penetrating rain] (Bronte 9). Through the use of
the fire and ice symbol, Bronte foreshadows a cold unloving situation for Jane. The
coldness of the weathercorresponds with the cold heartedness of the Reed family.
One day, Jane gets into a fight initiated by John, Mrs. Reed fails to see what her
child has done wrong. Jane knows that she is worthy of a better family than this but
is unable to leave due to the fact that she cannot survive on her own. Luckily Jane is

Enzyme Catalase Activity

Abstract
Five different temperatures of enzyme (spinach extract) (5В°C, 20В°C, 35В°C,
45В°C and 65В°C) were added to individual measuring cylinders each filled with 7ml
of Hydrogen Peroxide (H202). The height of foam (oxygen + water) produced by the
reaction was recorded for each temperature of the catalase after 30 seconds, to find at
which degrees the enzyme activity had the fastest reaction rate. The data collected
from this experiment suggested that the enzyme extract had the greatest efficiency at
20 В°C, and the temperatures greater displayed a decline in rate of reaction.
Introduction
Background Theory:
Enzymes are proteins that act as a catalyst in bringing about specific biochemical
reactions when met with particular substrates. Substrates will merge into a suitable
area of the enzyme called an active site this becomes the enzyme/substrate complex.
Once the substrate is attached to the active site, the substrate will undergo a
procedure where the substrate is modified and released as a product. There are
different types of this that can occur, where either a chemical bond is broken in a
substrate to produce two separate products; as in the Induced Fit model illustrated in
figure 1.a. Chemical bonds can also be built between two substrates to produce a
single product.
Figure 1.b shows the Lock and Key model where two individual substrates meet the
active site where
Plane Crash Of A Cessna Citation 550
Introduction This paper examines the plane crash of a Cessna Citation 550 which
impacted into lake Michigan shortly after takeoff. We will examine the flight crew
involved, flight information, crash details, and the accident investigations about the
crash. On further analyzing crashes like this one, we should have a better
understanding on how CRM (crew resource management) and good flight practices
can make flights safer.
History of the Crew There are many factors to take into account when a plane crash
occurs, one of those is the crew and how they performed before the crash occurred.
Crashes can happen to a young pilot as well as a seasoned veteran, so we need to
find out if the history of the captain and the first officer can lead to more conclusions
as to how this crash occurred.
Captain
The captain of the aircraft, as many individuals know, is the person who is
ultimately responsible for the safety of the passengers, crew, as well as the
aircraft. That being said the captain or chief pilot should have a good overall
background to go along with many hours of flight time. The captain, age 59, was
hired by Marlin Air as a line pilot on February 21, 2005. Marlin Air designated him
as the company s chief pilot and then, on August 15, 2005, he was appointed by the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as Marlin Air s check airman in Cessna
Citation 500/550 airplanes. He held a multi engine airline transport pilot (ATP)
certificate with ratings in the Citation 500, 550,
The Female Characters Of Ophelia And Gertrude Within
The Text
This analysis of Hamlet will focus on the female characters of Ophelia and Gertrude
within the text. Ophelia is the daughter of Polonius, she is a kind, sweet natured girl
of who Hamlet has fallen in love with. However, due to the control of both her father
and brother Laertes, has been convinced that she should spy on young Hamletas to
what his intentions are. Whereas, Gertrudeis a shadowy character with little
involvement in the text; it is seen as though she has to live through Claudius in
order to function in society. Throughout the text we can see that both Ophelia and
Gertrude are oppressed by the male figures around them such as Claudius, Hamlet,
Polonius and Laertes who are pivotal characters in the text. She also becomes more
mentally unstable as the play progresses. Psychologically , gender can also be a
difficult subject to analyse as nowadays your gender is not solely based on
whether you are male or female, the terms of gender and sex are used
interchangeably and according to western cultures they are not purely connected to
physical anatomy. However, focusing on the female figures of Ophelia and
Gertrude in relation to the line Frailty, thy name is woman initially suggests that any
one woman is the same as all women in society suggesting that they will always be
seen as the weaker gender. On the other hand, looking at the Wordsworth classic text
of Hamlet, Ophelia can be seen to be being controlled by both her father and brother
which could be the reason

founded as a research and development firm. In the beginning, SIVMED performed
its own basic research, obtained patents on promising technologies, and then either
sold or licensed the technologies to other firms which marketed the products. The
firm has since then grown and is now contracted to perform research and testing for
larger genetic engineering firms, biotechnology firms, the US government, and is
now widely recognized as the leader in an emerging growth industry. SIVMED s

For this reason, new, or marginal, costs are used in its calculation. WACC is
calculated by multiplying the cost of each capital component by its proportional
weight and then summing then together. The capital components included in this
calculation are a firms after tax costs of debt, preferred stock, and common stock.
DebtThe first component of a firms WACC is its cost of debt. This is the effective
rate that a company pays on its current debt. Because interest expenses on debt are
deductible, the after tax cost is used in its calculation. Cost of debt is calculated by
multiplying the before tax rate by one minus the marginal tax rate. As given in the
Silicon Valley case assignment handout, SIVMED s long term debt consists of
9.5% coupon, semiannual payment bonds with 15 years to maturity. The bonds last
traded at a price of $891.00 per $1,000 par value bond. Given this data, SIVMED s
cost of debt is calculated at 6.6% .
It is often questionable as to whether flotation costs are included in the calculation of
a firms cost of debt. Flotation costs are the costs associated with the issuance of new
securities. These costs should be included in this calculation. For debt, however, this
value is usually ignored because it is very small and does not have a significant
affect on the outcome of the calculation. Also, when

Threat of Substitution (High to Medium) Threat of substitution does exist for
MediaTek because they are aimed at the 2G mobile phone market, thus consumers
can switch at any time to the high end 3G market. The 3G technology that is offered
by many other companies allows consumers to have a much faster product without
having to incur a huge price increase. With customers being able to switch markets
very easily MediaTek does face a relatively high threat of substitution.
Bargaining Power of Suppliers (Low) Bargaining power of suppliers is very low
because MediaTek produces the chipsets themselves and therefore they are the

Religion As A Cornerstone Of The Human Experience Essay
Religion has become a cornerstone of the human experience incorporating itself into
almost every aspect of modern life. It has brought understanding and security to
billions in a world where both are usually sparse. But, religious conflict has been the
source of countless wars, genocides, and overall repression. With thousands of
different variations of religions around the world, these times of religious conflict
caused each to withstand periods of difficulties allowing them to become what they
are today. For example, the Catholic Church faced some of its most prominent
changes in early modern Europe with the Reformation and the Age of Enlightenment.
These periods of struggle sparked doubt towards the Church and led to one of the
most perplexing times in the modern era: the witch craze. Upon the initial
presentation of witchcraft, religious leaders began turning to their faith to distinguish
between what was right and wrong in the eyes of God. It was quickly presumed to be
from the hands of the devil, and that something had to be done with those afflicted by
his charms. Spanning from the early fifteenth century to the late eighteenth century,
tens of thousands of people across Europe and North America were prosecuted for
witchcraft, many of whom were killed. Religious leaders amongst Catholicism and
some of its religious denominations such as Protestantism and Puritanism feared the
unknown that came with witchcraft and used their religious ideology to justify the

previous issue, SCE was in violation of the code by recognizing revenue in the
current period. Therefore, Gilmore would be associated with this violation by
staying in employment with SEC. This means she would potentially face fines or
disciplinary actions from the SEC as well as the State Board of Accountancy.
Solely based on this code section, Gilmore does have a reasonable case for walking
away and not whistleblowing. However, there are other pieces of literate that needs
to be addressed before coming to this conclusion in entirety. To start, one must first
address laws surrounding whistleblowing before looking at ethic based authorities.
While there is not a law that requires one to whistle blow, there are laws that have
been put in place to ensure that
Themes Of Necttar In The Village
Modernisation to the Village
The way of living of people in villages is the culture of a society. Village way of life
in India is considered to be full of cultural rituals and beliefs. People mostly work on
plantations to earn a living for themselves and the family. Whereas modernization is
the current term for an old process, the process of social change whereby less
developed societies acquire characteristics common to more developed societies.
This essay will discuss a theme of Nectar in a Sieve which is the tension between
modernization and traditional ways of life. It will also discuss how different
characters respond to elements that represent the coming of the modern world to the
village.
To begin with, Rukmani s curiousness on the arrival of the men to build tannery,
changed to anger as she saw the effect of tannery on the village s way of life.
Rukmani and some of the onlookers are somewhat taken aback when the newcomers
boldly told them what to do in their own village. When at long last the tannery is
finished, some people are unhappy to see the workers go, but Rukmani is not. She
says, They had invaded our village with clatter and din, had taken from us the maidan

Nathan s hopes are crushed when his son, Thambi points out that he never did, and
never will, own the land. However, Nathan was assuring Rukmani that the tannery
was there to stay. He encourages her to go with the flow, saying Bend like the grass,
that you do not break (Markandaya, 20). Seeing the negativity of Rukmani, Nathan
was only comforting her with the truth of life. Nathan bears the results of the strike at
the tannery more graciously than anyone. He declares that their children must do
what they do for their benefit, not for their parents. He quiets everyone with his

Oprah Winfrey s Impact On The World
Many people enter the talk show world, but not many people make it as easy as

Standardized Testing For Public School Systems
For decades I.Q. testing has been seen as: controversial, insufficient, errorful, and
unreliable when it comes to determining intellect. Used nowadays in standardized
testing for public school systems as a way to measure their student s intelligence in
school and determine the federal funding for each school on a yearly basis. Many
have seen this as unfair and wrongful of the government to try and measure
something so intricate and vital to everyday living into simple numbers and figures.
Then tell those who don t land within certain parameters that they are useless in the
real world.
Since 1904, when it was created by British Psychologist Charles Spearman who
collected data from several villages surrounding his home he concluded that the
correlations amongst the multiple variables could best be explained by assuming that
there was a single factor of mental ability that underlay them[12]. And thus the theory
of the g factor and model was born. One year later French Psychologist Alfred Binet
created the first usable I.Q. test that had the purpose to help identify learning
disabled children who needed special schools . Binet himself even warned that a
brutal pessimism would follow if his test was ever mistaken as a measure of a fixed,
unchangeable intelligence [13] In 1912, American psychologist and eugenicist, Henry
Goddard was hired by immigration authorities to do quality control [13] at Ellis
Island due to the massive amount of Eastern and Southern
Characterism In Alius Grace
Niederhoff says, In Alias Grace, the spirit of Mary also supports Grace. We should
not see the ghostly presence inside Grace in exclusively negative terms: as a demon
to be exorcised, a disorder to be cured. We should also see it as a survival strategy.
The person talking through Grace s mouth during the hypnosis scene quite literally
defends and protects Grace when she tells the audience that Grace is not guilty of the
murders because she knew nothing about them. This person also enables Grace to
insulate her mindagainst the memory of traumatic experiences, and provides her
with an outlet for her feelings of jealousy and rage, primarily against Nancy, that
Grace more or less represses in her own person. Moreover, the Mary inside Grace
turns the tables on the male victimizers with the help of her host s body. Grace can
maintain her own sanity and identity only at the cost of splitting in two, of
relegating some of her memories and actions to a second person, who turns out to
be a murderer. This person, intruding ghost or self created alter, is alias Grace ; she is
the same woman as Grace Marks in the sense that she shares some of the
experiences and motives of the latter, and she is a different person in the sense that
Grace Marks is not aware of her (Niederhoff 79). I also agree with Niederhoff s
viewpoint. The notion that Grace is possessed for the purpose of protecting herself
relates to Grace s wish of her mother to do so. As Grace recalls of her mother, She

Bicipital Tendinitis Research Paper
Bicipital Tendinitis Bicipital tendinitis, or biceps tendinitis, is inflammation of the
biceps tendon. The biceps muscle is located between the elbow and shoulder of the
inner arm. Strong bands of tissue (tendons) connect the biceps to the shoulder socket.
They are called short head and long head tendons because tendons of different lengths
connect the top (head) of the upper arm to the shoulder. If you have bicipital
tendinitis, the long head tendon is inflamed. The long head tendon may also be
thickened or partially torn. Bicipital tendinitis often happens with other shoulder and
arm problems, such as arthritis or complete tears in the tendons. CAUSES This

Unreliable Narrator In Poe s Works
In literature, one of the most critical concepts we are faced with is interpretation. A
reader must interpret what they have read to make sense of the story and can only
do so by using elements of the plot, typically presented by the narrator. A reliable and
unreliable narrator provide the reader with different, possible versions of the tale,
which makes narration a crucial part of the story. An unreliable narratoris a narrator
who s credibility is put into question due to them being either biased, obscure, or
unhinged. In most of Edgar Allan Poe s short stories, the narrator tends to be
unreliable as they are portrayed as insane, fanatic psychopaths. In The Tell Tale Heart
and The Black Cat , Edgar Allan Poe makes use of unreliable narration... Show more

At first, the narrator informs the reader that his tenderness of heart was even so
conspicuous as to make the jest [his] companions (1). According to the narrator,
during his childhood he was once so good natured that his friends mocked him. If
telling the truth, then the narrator s horrifying change of mood makes him
unpredictable. The abrupt shift in spirit makes us evaluate the narrator as he
declares, for what disease is like Alcohol!...even Pluto began to experience the
effects of my ill temper (1). Anyone under the influence is not at a right state of
mind, therefore the narrator s reliability is obviously questioned. The use of the
word even shows that the fact Pluto was subjected to his ill temper was out of the
norm, thus characterizing the narrator as unstable. As the story progresses, the
narrator confesses, And then came, as if to [his] final and irrevocable overthrow, the
spirit of PERVERSENESS (2). Poe capitalizes perverseness to create the abnormal
agitation and excitement expressed by the narrator when he discusses such deviant
concepts. The fact that the narrator acts out of perverseness implies that he does not
reason or use logic; he is portrayed as a twisted psychopath who should not be
Memory Foam
If you are thinking about purchasing a memory foam mattress and really do not
know anything other than what you have heard through television ads, then you
will first need to understand exactly what memory foam is and how it works to
ensure that you pick the best mattress for you. Memory foam, in its primitive stage
was first used by NASA in the 1970s for space missions. The prototypes were thin
in appearance and over time, cracked. But they served the purpose in providing
comfort to the astronaut while on space missions. Over time, memory foam has been
transformed and manufactured by several companies, all of which proclaim their
version to be the best. These mattresses are now quite durable and thick, yet very soft
and spongy to the touch.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not all memory foam mattresses are the same, though. There are certain aspects
that you have to look for, one being the density range. Since memory foam is a soft
surface you will need something supportive at the base. The entire mattress should
never be solely memory foam. Memory foam by itself is too soft and will not
provide adequate support. Added over a firm material, however, it creates the
perfect combination for a good nights rest. Two other features that you will want to
look for are temperature and filling. A lower temperature will result in a firm
surface while higher temperatures result in a softer surface. If you do not want to
buy a full mattress, you can buy a mattress topper that comes in a variety of
temperatures. Filler should be quality and not cheap. Some manufacturers fill the
mattress with sand so be sure to find out what the filler is prior to purchasing. The
best memory foam mattress should also have a depth of three to five inches as any
less or more will result in less support. Remember that cheaper is not always better.
Some of the cheaper models are filled with sand rather than a high quality filling,

Table Tennis And Ping Pong
Why is table table tennis so similar to ping pong? Well they are exactly the same
thing! Table tennis/ ping pong began in the 1880s, and was later trademarked in the
United states by Parker Brothers, the board game company. Like most other sports,
table tennis had humble beginnings as a parlor game but really it was open to
anyone with access to a table, paddle, and a ball. In 1922, The Ping Pong
Association was formed but got renamed to The Table TennisAssociation because
they are the same thing. Over the years table tennispopularity grew, table tennis
became so popular because In 1902 a visiting Japanese university professor took the
gameback to Japan, where he introduced it to university students. Shortly after, a
British salesman, Edward Shires, introduced it to the people of Vienna and
Budapest, [ . . . ]. Due to the popularity of table tennis and how successful it became
it in 1902 the sport ended up going to Japan due to a Japanese University professor
that was visiting. He liked the game so much that when he went back to Japan he
introduced it to his university students. The sport also ended up going to Britain
and spread pretty far to the Sunderland and Plymouth. In 1922, an All England Club

Alexander The Great Impact On The Biblical Word
The rise of Alexander the Great impact on the biblical word by making the Greek
language universal enabling the gospel to spread to other countries that did not
speak the Hebrew language. God uses the spread of the Greek and language to have
the New Testament translated into Greek so that everybody could read the bible and
not just Jews nor Greeks. (Galatians 3:28).
Alexander The Great is the son of Philip of Macedon. Who then later became the
one in Danial 11:3 A mighty king will arise, and he will rule with great authority
and do as he pleases. Prior to 322 B.C. the Greek state had never achieved a united

The Works Of William Shakespeare And Sir Philip Sidney
Edmund Spenser was a notorious English poet known for writing the long
allegorical poem The Faerie Queen. Born into a family of very little wealth he was
enrolled into the Merchant Taylors grammar school. He later went on to study at
the University of Cambridge where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in
1573. The time he spent at Cambridge was undoubtly very crucial for the
acquisition of his wide knowledge not only of the Latin and some of the Greek
classics but also of the Italian, French, and English Literature of his own and earlier
times. Without the Roman epic poet Virgil s Aeneid, the 15th century Italian
Ludovico Ariosto s Orlando furioso, and, later, Torquato Tasso s Gerusalemme
liberata (1581), Spenser could not have written his heroic, or epic, poem The Faerie
Queene. The corpus of Spenser can be discussed in the context of the works of
William Shakespeare and Sir Philip Sidney. The three share an influence in the same
popular Renaissance literary genre, Pastoral, which can be depicted as an idealized
vision of a simpler, rural life and a longing for a lost world of innocence. Much
happened in the time of the Renaissance, including Reformation and an epidemic so
it made sense to want to write about less complex ways of living as a way to escape
reality.
In The Faerie Queen, Spenser writes with the intent to show young men what better
virtues to cultivate in their lives. He does an excellent job doing this by his use of
symbolism and descriptive imagery.
Van Der Poll s Do Hit Chair
In relation to the above question, I have selected Van Der Poll s Do Hit Chair
(2000 present) as a contemporary work that manifests rebellion in the
contemporary landscape. Physically and visually, I am deprived of any realistic
or actual representation of the artwork, as I can only analyse the 2D, virtual image
I have found on the internet. However, Do Hit Chair heavily involves internet
engagement, and this is the exact experience the audience has themselves when
purchasing the work. Thus, I have chosen to analyse the web page on which Do
Hit Chair is advertised. Demonstrated in the Description part on the web page, the
consumer becomes the co designer by creating their own, edited version of the art
work. This is further typified by the online sharing options at the top right hand
corner of the designers web page. The internet is significant to the artworks
interpretation, as the consumer/audience s usage of the internet allows them to
purchase the piece and enable them to publicise and even resell their own
creations. Accordingly, the artwork (or piece of furniture) becomes a cycle of
consumerism. The work ideally functions as a chair, which is presumed by the title,
however the artist is able to change/alter the object into whatever they please. The
spatial dimensions (100 x 70 x 75 cm) also indicate the objects purpose as the size is
generally similar to the standard sized chair dimensions.... Show more content on

Transfer to Adult Criminal Court
There are times where a juvenile may be eligible for transfer to adult criminal court.
There are certain criteria that must be met for this to happen, and there is a strong
belief that juveniles who commit serious offenses would be more appropriately dealt
with by criminal (or adult) courts (Elrod Ryder, 2011). Juveniles are capable of
committing the same serious offenses that adults do. Therefore, with the
requirements of a transfer being met, there are times that juveniles should be placed
in the adult criminal court system and tried through here, rather than the juvenile
court system. The juvenile court system may not have the same consequences or
sentencing guidelines as the adult criminal court; therefore, the proper punishment

With this message directed towards juveniles, as well as the likely chance that
juveniles whom are transferred to the adult criminal court system will result in some
type of incarceration, this may lead to a deterrence of violent or misbehaved actions
committed by juveniles in an attempt to avoid these prosecutions. These statements
conducted by Urbina and White (2009), are statements to consider on the issue of a
juveniles transfer to adult criminal court. Although there are strong facts to support
this type of transfer for juveniles, Urbina and White (2009) also found that this might
not be the best option in some cases. There have been studies that showed juveniles
whom were transferred to the adult criminal court system and sent to adult jails were
more likely to re offend and with more serious crimes than did their juvenile
counterparts (Urbina White, 2009). With this study that was conducted, it adds doubt
to the fact that juveniles should be transferred to the adult criminal court system.
Although, at times, this may be the best option for serious and violent repeated
offenders, it is not likely that this process will have a positive affect on the juvenile or
the community. Urbina and White (2009) continue to lack strong argumentative
evidence to show the exact times that transferring a juvenile to the adult criminal
court system is the
Life In Tropical Rainforests In The Tropical Rainforests
We may not realize it but many of our everyday necessities come from all sorts of
things that live in nature. Whether it s paper or beauty products, we rely on nature
for certain things we need and use. What we also may not realize is the demands
for certain necessities are the reason why all life within nature decreases. This is
primarily focused on tropical rainforests. Over the years we have slowly decreased
life within them. We have even cut down parts or entire rainforests to make space
for certain facilities we use. This is bad for us and for all life within rainforests.
We are destroying the homes of many plants and wild life as well as the air that we
breath. If we continue to harvest parts of rainforests it could destroy all the life that
inhabits it forever. Rainforests are in Brazil, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands and
West Africa. During the day, their average temperature within them is eighty eight
degrees Fahrenheit. Once it gets to be later in the evening, the temperature
decreases to an average of seventy two degrees Fahrenheit. At one point, they

The Different Gender Roles In The Salem Witch Trials
Salem Witch Trials was a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of
witchcraft in the Salem Village of the 17th century New England. The trials caused
executions of many people, mostly women. Salem Witch Trials exposed the
different gender roles during the seventeenth century. Women were supposed to
take on wifely duties such as, be mothers and housewives. Women were taught to
follow the men. There were strict religious norms during the seventeenth century.
There was rigid moral code believed that God would punish sinful behavior. Those
who were under the covenant by the church of the Salem Village believed that
Satan would select those to fulfill his work and those who followed Satan were
considered witches. Witchcraft was considered a punishable crime. Salem Witch
Trials revealed that gender played a role for the accused and accusers. The trials
also revealed that one s relationship with God will set deliverance from Satan s
attacks. Salem Witch Trials demonstrated how rumors, jealousy, and the idea of
male dominance affected people of the Salem Village. Seventeenth Century America
revealed there was male dominance over women. Men were in charge of the
Church. Samuel Parris was the ordained minister of the church. Parris was appointed
to bring God back to the Salem Village. Samuel Parris governed the Church by
remaining old fashioned and conservative, he did this by following the Old Covenant.

Every day I left for work she would be right there saying good bye. So far she hasn t
missed a single day. I see you are already heading out , she said. Well I want to earn
some extra money this BC , I replied. I know , she said a little upset, but I know
that you re just trying to help this family. The baby is on the way and you re right
on one thing, we need extra money. I knew she d understand. I sometimes thought
that me and Fabiana were a little peculiar because of the things we did. We were the
only ones that married for love ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was about half way through the day and we had already gotten half of the fields. I
still had half the day to go but when I d get home I d get one of the best meals I d
ever have when I ever I d get home. I started to notice that it was getting darker. I
looked up and I saw that the sky was 1 spontaneously darker and filled with clouds.
That s when somebody yelled at the top of their lungs, JUPITER IS ABOUT TO
STRIKE!!!!!!!!!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE IT S GOING TO HIT THE SPRING!!!
EVERYBODY RUUUUUUUN!!!!!!! That s when chaos broke loose. Everybody
was running to their homes, so they could get to cover, especially in the fields. But
I wasn t worried about getting to cover, I was worried about Fabiana. She was at
the spring and if she didn t get to cover, I don t know what I ll do. I was running to
the spring as fast as I could. I started to think that if I lost her, I wouldn t only lose
her, I d loose my new baby too. I wasn t going to lose her. I wasn t going to lose
everything. I had ran for a while until I finally saw the spring. There she was,
standing there. I yelled her name a couple of times until I caught her attention. She
started running towards me and I ran to her. We were so far away from each other,
but I just knew that we would make...BOOOOOOOM!!!!! The ground shook as I
flew to the ground. I woke up
Huxley Utopian Society Essay
Through the Novel Island by Aldous Huxley the possibility and attainability of what
makes a sustainable utopian society is explored. With the attributes discovered
through Huxley s writing the foundations and necessities of maintaining a utopia
are defined, and under the correct circumstances could be successful. In Island Will
Farnaby intentionally shipwrecks on the utopian island of Pala. His intentions are
to get oil rights for his boss from the ruler of Pala. The Palanese do not want their
oil exported, due to their ways of life. Throughout the novel Will evolves from his
cynical pessimistic self, into an islander. Will is not the only character that evolves
through the book Murugan does as well. With Murugan Island shows him evolving

Aldous Huxley s utopia, like all others in literature, end up being corrupted. Huxley s
utopia, Pala, is corrupted by external influences, rather than internal influences, which
are the most common in the process of corruption. Even though Pala ultimately ends
in destruction it is with Huxley s encouragement of individualism and self
enlightenment that without outside forces the utopian society of Pala could have
been preserved.
The influence of Aldous Huxley s family, beliefs, education, and the historical
movements during his lifetime heavily influence the characteristics and themes found
in his writing. Huxley was raised in a family heavily devoted to science, which
contributes to the prominence of scientific thinking in Island. The impact of science
on his family was leading him to become a physician, but due to his blindness he was
required to find another study. He resorted to studying english literature and
philosophy. His study of philosophy is evident in Island, through his considerably
opinionated comments made by characters in the novel. His studies were not the only
influence of his writing, Huxley was also influenced by the prominence of
Dea Is A United States Department Of Justice Enforcement...
The Drug Enforcement Administration also known as DEA is a United States
Department of Justice law enforcement agency. Their purposes is to enforce the law
to stop the sale of illegal drugs, drug trafficking, investigate major crimes within the
United States and internationally, and to secure and protect our communities from
ever confronting drugs. D.E.A. also cooperates with many major law enforcement
agencies such as federal, state, local, and overseas law enforcement agencies to stop
criminals from smuggling drugs in our territory and help the people from getting
involved with drugs. Other responsibilities include investigating major crimes,
carrying out mission, and detain drugtraffickers operations in interstate and

The United States have declared that it is doing its best to combat the war on drugs.
The drug problem has not stopped and the people continue to buy drugs no matter
what circumstances they are obtained. With drugs prices rising, people are willing
do anything to get drugs even if it leads them to become involved in criminal
activities such as robbery. The money and military activity have not been enough, and
the urban problem, has not been resolved. The United States has the largest demand
of drugs in the world. While other countries also face the drug problem, the United
States has spent the most money and law enforcement; however, its effectiveness is
questionable. Consequently, now there is a great amount of drugs coming from
Mexico s borderline into the United States. The drug cartels have become more
violent, killing Mexican officers and innocent people in order to smuggle their drugs.
The United States needs more security control and better coordination between
agencies to fight the violent Mexican drug war spilling across the southern border.
There is not enough organization between the D.E.A and other groups such as the
Department of Homeland Security. The United States has little hope of winning the
war unless enough protection on the border and Border States are developed. The
agencies need better coordination between the federal, state and locals agencies in
order to prevent more drugs to cross
Langston Hughes s Poem, Negro Speaks Of Rivers
In Langston Hughes inspirational poem, Negro Speaks of Rivers, he expresses, My
soul has grown as deep like the rivers, (lines 4 and 13), describing how his
encounters with racial intolerance have made him stronger as a person in both
spiritual and emotional ways; rather than to just step down and submit to the cruelty
of racism. The quote could also be interpreted as a sign of perseverance and hope
for people who have experienced not only racial injustice, but other forms of
degradation in society, both past and present. Langston Hughes uses rivers in his
poem as an interpretation of life. At the moment Langston Hughes was inspired to
write this poem, he was looking out the window in the train in which he was
travelling. On his trip, the train was going across the Mississippi River during
sunset he witnessed the magnificence and beauty of nature. This was enough to
remind him of hope and all things positive, along with the motivation he needed to
compose the poem. I believe the author repeated the use of the word river because
it is symbolic. Rivers continue on the path they go; they never stop flowing forward
regardless of the circumstances. That is what Langston Hughes wanted the audience
to know, and himself as well. Everyone can look forward to a brighter tomorrow
even if there is something that holds them back. When everything seems like it is all
lost, the only last resort we have is hope. That is the key theme of the entire poem,
hope is strength and that
The Baroque Period Of Music
Unlike the Baroque period of music with its flourish and embellishments, the
Classical period of music had a more structured and formal format to its music.
Music of this time period, which lasted from 1750 to 1820, is distinguishable by its
high spirited and fast paced style. The most popular forms of musicat this time were
sonatas, symphonies, and string quartets. Although opera was still immensely
enjoyed, it did not maintain the stamina it had gained in the Baroque period.
Advances were being made in concertos, pieces where a soloist played the main
melody while accompanied by an orchestra, and also gained popularity. Also the
piano was being used more and utilized in these concertos as the solo instrument. Two

22 in E flat, Third Movement. This piece demonstrates the classical model of
structure and fluidity. The pianist gracefully moves through the pieces with recurring
themes playing trills and cadenzas. The second man who defined the Classical
period and also began the Romantic period of music was Ludwig van Beethoven.
Born and raised in Solzburg, Germany, Beethoven was also an accomplished
musician at a young age. However it was not under the caring supervision that
Mozart s father granted, but the harsh beating of Beethoven s father who would
treat him violently during music lessons after coming home late from a night of
drinking at a tavern. Despite this, Beethoven s passion for music was not
diminished and he moved to Vienna at age 22 where after Mozart himself praised
Beethoven s skills as a musician. In Vienna, he became very popular for his
emotional works of art. Composing did not come as naturally to Beethoven as he
was very self critical and would spend months dwelling on one piece. Additionally, he
was not a very personable man as he was passionate, emotional, and temperamental.
These personality traits showed through his music and were only increased when he
became deaf. But he did not let it inhibit his composing skills. Beethoven s Symphony
No 5, First Movement clearly depicted his frustration at the onset deafness that he
had developed. This piece is one of his most famous as it is unpredictable and
emotional. Eventually, in 1817, he had
Genetically Modified Organisms And Its Effects On
Humans...
GMOs Genetically modified organisms also known as GMOs are used to change
the DNA of animals and plants by using crossbreeding methods ( GMO Facts. The
NonGMO Project RSS. Web. 4 Mar. 2015.). These altered organisms are used to
improve our food and are thought to be a good way to feed the rest of the world,
especially undeveloped countries. But what most people don t know is that
GMOs are poorly tested, unsafe, and are found in most foods in the market.
Genetically modified organisms are not properly tested. In fact, the FDA abstains
from conducting a safe study of it s own. As a result, the United States
Government relies on a study conducted by the same company that created
genetically modified organisms and has approved the usage of GMOs to grow
this nations food. Not to mention, this study has only proven that consuming
GMO foods do not have an effect on humans within ninety days. This is not long
enough to see if it has a long time effect on humanity. This study can only benefit
GMO companies for profit purposes. ( GMO Facts. The NonGMO Project RSS.
Web. 4 Mar. 2015.) Since then, over one thousand seven hundred studies have tried
to prove that modified foods are safe. Sadly, most of these studies have proven
otherwise. ( Home Earth Open Source. Earth Open Source. Web. p. 102. 4 Mar.
2015.). As a result, over 60 countries have already required modified foods to be
labeled for example: Vietnam, Peru, Ecuador, and India ( Labeling Around the World

Hope Floats Essay
Hope Floats
The movie I decided to watch is called Hope Floats. This is a great movie, and it
not only should be about love, but it showed me about life. Do you think you can
fix your life and get it back on the right track all on your own? All you have to do is
just have to give hope a chance and believe that everything will get better someday.
There is always a time in everyone s life when something horrible happens.
Sometimes it something that changes your very course of life in an instant. Then
life becomes difficult and it seems all you can do is give up on everything. But it
does not have to be like that at all. Your life is not over, you just hit a rough spot
along the way, and things are bound to get ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Dottie, polka dot s real name, finds out Birdee loves to take pictures so she finds her
a job at the local photo store, which was nice of her for what Birdee did to her.
For Birdee s mother finding a job was not good enough. She wanted her to move on
with her live and maybe find a new boyfriend. This is where Justin Matisse comes
into the movie. He was not one of the popular kids in high school, but he s had a
crush on Birdee for the longest time, even thought she was not particularly nice to
him or interested him at all. Birdee s mother wants these two to get together and
date. But she even thought her husband hurt her very badly, she just can t seem to
get over it. Birdee has had two things in her life that she s cherished. One of them
being the man in her life and the other is being a mother, and now it seems like she
has neither. Now she does not have any of these things. Her husband cheated on her
and her daughter is extremely upset with the split of her parents and the fact that
Birdee is always depressed and always in bed, she soon thinks her mother is the one
to blame for the split.
Bridees daughter Bernice, does not like Justin very much, she wants what most kids
want, which is for her parents to get back together, but that s an unrealistic
expectation. She does not want to see her mom get into another relationship in fear of
the same thing happening twice. Bernice thinks her father is going
Predicting Performance Of Post Graduate Education
From...
Predicting performance in post graduate education from admissions information
comparisons of health professions with pharmacy
Richard E Wilcox, PhD* and Kenneth A Lawson, PhD ABSTRACT
Objectives. The goal of the present review was to assess the state of performance
prediction in health care programs generally, versus performance in pharmacy
schools, using didactic and non didactic admissions measures. This is important
because clinical success represents a combination of skills that are not fully predicted
by either type of measure alone.
Methods. PubMed searches were conducted focusing on work published from 2000
onwards, since it is during this period that non didactic admissions measures have
come to be incorporated into the applicant evaluation process. Relevant papers that
were available as free full text were used. When these papers were not available by
direct import into EndNote, we went directly to the journal to try to retrieve the paper.
Results. Published literature clearly showed that prediction of performance in the
didactic portions of health care programs is straightforward when based on pre health
care GPA and achievement testscores. The best predictions are achieved when both
measures are combined. While significant statistical prediction is achieved in
virtually every study, the percent of total performance variance accounted for is also
consistent and uniformly small in the order of 25%. Similarly, there is now an
emerging consensus that

Music and Painting
During the study of 20th century Western music history in this class, I found out
there are may same movements of art and music. I took 20th century Art history as
well so there is always the comparison of them in my mind. Music and art appear to
be two different art forms. Music is both auditory art, but also an art of time and
movement. Music express musicians feelings through sound, it will create images in
the mind of the viewer for them to have a variety of feelings, and to elicit in the
viewer emotional resonance. Painting is a visual art, space art. It is static. Painters
use lines, shades and other forms to sketched out some figurative or abstract pattern.
It provide visually to the viewer a strong impression and cause them reflect a variety
of emotions, resulting in aesthetic stimulation. Music and painting each is done
through a different medium with different means of artistic expression. They both
convey people the author s expression of the content and emotion. Many artists
themselves are both musicians and painters, such as Kandinsky, Schoenberg,
Leonardo da Vinci and extra. One of the great examples is Wassily Kandinsky. He is
one of the representatives of Russian expressionism painter. He also was a man
versed in music. He is a friend of expressionist music composer, Schoenberg. By
listening to Schoenberg s works, he felt like a recklessly in front of the same lines in
countless dance. Since Kandinsky
Color Polka Dots
Another installation is called I m Here, But Nothing (Kusama, 2008). The viewer
would enter a dark room which was set up as a normal kitchen, or living room.
However, the room is drowned in black light. Covered the surface of the walls as
well as furniture were multiple color polka dots with fluorescent glow in the dark
paint. The author once again made used of the distinct colorwhile manipulating lights,
to create infinite pattern on a smooth color surface. The dots can be observed as
floating in the air, while defying the space within the room and still defining it.
Kusama illuminated the room only with ultraviolet fluorescent light; thus, the stickers
appeared without any sense of depth, which then is stuck in the viewer s eyes to create

  • 2. The Ottoman Empire and Judaism The reason the Jews went to the Ottoman Empire was because the Christians persecuted them because of their different beliefs. The Jews were so scared of what the Christians might do they wanted to settle in a safer place which the Ottomans offered them. The Ottomans offering them land was the best thing the Jewscould have asked for. The Ottomans offered the Jews protection, offered them communal autonomy and tolerated their religious practices. The Ottomans at the time had a rule about non Muslims having to pay a tax, which is called the Jitza. The Muslims considered Jews and Christians dhimmi or the people of the pact. The dhimmi we issued to pay the jitza, and where forced to follow these rules; prohibition against carrying fire arms, against riding horses, against building new houses or worship or even repairing old ones, against proselytism, against building homes higher than Muslim ones, and they must wear distinctive clothing. Even after all of these rules the Jewish community still thrived in the Ottoman Empire. The population of Jews in the Ottoman Empire was very distinct and was coming from different places. The most noticeable and most studied among the Jews in the Ottoman Empire were the Sephardim. The Sephardim had great political and cultural influence on the Ottoman Empire. The Jews became very valuable to the Ottomans because of the ties they had with Europe. Europeans brought new languages and technologies including the newest forms in medicine,

  • 4. The Benefits Of Oleuropein, A Diet Rich On The Compound Considering all the benefits of oleuropein, a diet rich in the compound is definitely recommended for companion animals as well as livestock and a great candidate to be considered by Acidophil. Currently a lot of alternatives for chemotherapeutic and antibiotic substances being used as growth promoters in livestock are being explored due to the problems associated with them. There is an obvious risk of consuming residues antibiotic substance by humans. Also, there is an increased risk of consuming antibiotic resistant microorganisms through products derived from animals that were given antibiotic growth promoters. Using natural products can provide the same benefits without risks while promoting weight increase and feed conversion in livestock. The quality of products acquired from livestock will be improved as well due to the addition of oleuropein. According to Elgaard, et.al (2004), the inventive additive reduces the usage of other antioxidants such as vitamin E and selenium in production animals and pets, has antimicrobial and antiviral characteristics, improves nitrogen utilization, and improves the nutrient substance utilization generally. • 5. Social Psychological Barriers Of Violence On Youth And... Youth in today s society are faced with numerous social psychological barriers that get in the way of healthy development. Urban youth are faced with even more of these barriers such as homelessness, mental health issues, negative influences, poverty, racism, stereotypes and exposure to violence. Table 1 addresses these social psychological barriers, defines them and provides sources from current journal articles that speak about them. Many of these barriers do not happen in isolation alone, but are connected and intertwine. For instance students living in poverty often have to deal with homelessness and students faced with racism often come face to face with stereotypes in their culture. This paper will examine in depth the social psychological barrier of violenceand analyze how it impacts students performance and achievement. Exposure to violence (from hearing about to witnessing or even being victimized by) can be very traumatic for children and youthand affect brain development leading to lasting effects that can continue well into adulthood. Students living in urban neighborhoods are often exposed to more violent crime, murder, stabbings, shootings, rape, robbery, and assaults than students living in suburban or rural neighborhoods. Studies show that over 85% of urban youth report witnessing some form of community violence in their lifetime and almost 70% report direct victimization (McDonald, Deatrick, Kassam Adams, Richmond, 2011, p. 925). Students living in
  • 6. Symbolic Interactionism In Sociology Social Theory Essay Sociology views and analyzes people in multiple aspects as well as at a macro and a micro level. There are three main theories that sociologists have formulated which, when used together, help to explain our social lives and the different facets of it. Symbolic interactionism is one of these theories, and will be the focus of this essay. Each theory is a lens in which we can view social life, and so each theory differs in their interpretation of it. In order to evaluate and analyze how symbolic interactionismis utilized within sociology, there will be a focus on how it is applied to a certain aspect of U.S. culture. This aspect will be the symbols of fitness and muscle reflecting masculinity and femininity. However,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Symbols are defined as things that we attach meaning to such as: school, love, and cellphones. Understanding symbols is key to how we view the world and communicate with one another . Symbols have meaning attached to them, so without them, we would not be able to distinguish our relationships. There is no distinction between police officers from criminals, mothers from teachers, or brothers from sisters. In defining our relationships, we know whom to respect and whom we owe our obligations to, as well as who gives us our privileges (p. 23). And so, symbols allow people to define how they will behave and perceive others. Symbols do not necessarily have to be designated to humans. They can also be designated to other things as well. Symbols give meaning to books, pets, as well as time of day, such as afternoon or midnight. These symbols allow for the coordination of planning and actions as people can plan get togethers, blueprints, and classroom discussions. Symbol meanings and ideas can also change over time, whether it be overnight, or over generations. One can change from friend to boyfriend overnight, but ideas of equality have changed and been modified throughout history. And so, symbols are not essential to only individual people, but to society as well. Symbols have meaning not only in the now, but have had meanings in the past and the future, although the meaning may not have been the

Having knowledge makes the entire experience less frightening for everyone involved from the person who was arrested to their loved ones. What is Bail? When officials talk about bail, they are referring to the money the defendent or loved one pays to get the arrested person released from jail. • 8. Psychological Effects Of Cocaine Use Psychological Effects of Cocaine Use Richard Estes Caledonia Mumford High School Abstract In this paper the many physical and psychological effects of Cocaine use will be presented to the reader. The reader will be able to see the rough timeline of Cocaine use and how it has evolved into the narcotic that is seen today. It will be clear to see just how much the theories on the drug has changed throughout history as a one point Sigmund Freud himself promoted the drug as healthy and could see no fault within its effects (UXL Encyclopedia of Science, 2015). In today s world it is clear that cocaine is in fact dangerous and it is up to the reader to decide whether the physical effects or psychological effects are more drastic. Psychological Effect Caused by Cocaine Use Coke, C, Toot, Flake, Snow, Booga Suga, the list of names goes on and on but one thing that all these have in common is that they all refer to one drug, cocaine (Feinberg 1984). Cocaine is a very addicting drug and contrary to early belief can and will cause gross psychological and some physical effects. The wonder drug as it was so affectionately called has turned out to not be wonderful at all. Cocaine use began roughly around the late fifteenth century, majorly anyway, when the Spanish began giving raw coca leaves to their workers as it enabled them to do massive amounts of work in their gold and silver mines (UXL Encyclopedia of Science, 2015). It was not
  • 9. Ronald Reagan And Terrorism Essay Ronald Reagan was fond of quoting John Adams, who famously said: Facts are stubborn things. So when Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif made public pronouncements about fighting extremism, the facts show that his comments are ironic at best and little more than insincere propaganda. The fact is that Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism, with government officials directly responsible for numerous terrorist attacks since 1979. These include suicide bombings of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and the Marine barracks at Beirut International Airport; the bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia in 1996; attacks against more than a dozen embassies in Iran, including those of Britain, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia; and the assassination of diplomats ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... last year, Iranian leaders have taken to pointing fingers at others to assign blame for the regional problems that they helped create. But before buying into their rhetoric, consider a few questions: Which country issues a fatwa for the execution of author Salman Rushdie, a death threat that is still in force today? (Iran.) What country has attacked more than a dozen embassies inside its own territory in violation of all international laws? (Iran.) What country managed, planned and executed the 1996 attack in Khobar Towers against the American Marines? (Iran.) Do these answers describe a country that is serious about combating terrorism and extremism? The rest of the Islamic world has unanimously condemned Iran s behavior. In Istanbul in April, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation formally rejected and deplored Iran s policies of sectarianism, interference in the affairs of others and support for terrorism. Saudi Arabia is a leader in the war against terrorism. My country brought the world together for an international conference in 2005 to align nations in the fight against terrorism. The kingdom contributed more than $100 million to create a global center for counterterrorism at the United Nations and established a 40 member Islamic Military Coalition to combat terrorism and extremism. It also is a member of the U.S. led Global Coalition to Counter ISIL and is part of the coalition s continuing military
  • 10. Symbolism In Jane Eyre In Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre spends her childhood, along with part of her adulthood, trying to find a true family. The Victorian novel is narrated by Jane, past and present, and lets the reader in on what Jane is thinking and how she reacts internally. Jane begins narrating her life at Gateshead and ends the novel at the manor house of Ferndean. Jane visits several places in between and encounters many people, good and bad. As Jane meets new people, she assesses them, checking to see if they are worthy of being the family she has been searching for. Bronte conveys that Jane s pursuit of family is impacted by her self respect by utilizing the symbol of fire and ice. Jane s quest begins at Gateshead with her aunt, Mrs. Reed, and her cousins. Gateshead is a cruel place with cruel people. John Reed, one of Jane s cousins, taunts her and engages in physical attacks on Jane. The day on which the novel opens is described as having a cold winter wind [that] had brought with it [sombre clouds] and [penetrating rain] (Bronte 9). Through the use of the fire and ice symbol, Bronte foreshadows a cold unloving situation for Jane. The coldness of the weathercorresponds with the cold heartedness of the Reed family. One day, Jane gets into a fight initiated by John, Mrs. Reed fails to see what her child has done wrong. Jane knows that she is worthy of a better family than this but is unable to leave due to the fact that she cannot survive on her own. Luckily Jane is

  • 13. An Investigation Of Enzyme Catalase Activity Practical Investigation Enzyme Catalase Activity BrontГ« Smith C13 06|05|2015 Abstract Five different temperatures of enzyme (spinach extract) (5В°C, 20В°C, 35В°C, 45В°C and 65В°C) were added to individual measuring cylinders each filled with 7ml of Hydrogen Peroxide (H202). The height of foam (oxygen + water) produced by the reaction was recorded for each temperature of the catalase after 30 seconds, to find at which degrees the enzyme activity had the fastest reaction rate. The data collected from this experiment suggested that the enzyme extract had the greatest efficiency at 20 В°C, and the temperatures greater displayed a decline in rate of reaction. Introduction Background Theory: Enzymes are proteins that act as a catalyst in bringing about specific biochemical reactions when met with particular substrates. Substrates will merge into a suitable area of the enzyme called an active site this becomes the enzyme/substrate complex. Once the substrate is attached to the active site, the substrate will undergo a procedure where the substrate is modified and released as a product. There are different types of this that can occur, where either a chemical bond is broken in a substrate to produce two separate products; as in the Induced Fit model illustrated in figure 1.a. Chemical bonds can also be built between two substrates to produce a single product. Figure 1.b shows the Lock and Key model where two individual substrates meet the active site where
  • 14. Plane Crash Of A Cessna Citation 550 Introduction This paper examines the plane crash of a Cessna Citation 550 which impacted into lake Michigan shortly after takeoff. We will examine the flight crew involved, flight information, crash details, and the accident investigations about the crash. On further analyzing crashes like this one, we should have a better understanding on how CRM (crew resource management) and good flight practices can make flights safer. History of the Crew There are many factors to take into account when a plane crash occurs, one of those is the crew and how they performed before the crash occurred. Crashes can happen to a young pilot as well as a seasoned veteran, so we need to find out if the history of the captain and the first officer can lead to more conclusions as to how this crash occurred. Captain The captain of the aircraft, as many individuals know, is the person who is ultimately responsible for the safety of the passengers, crew, as well as the aircraft. That being said the captain or chief pilot should have a good overall background to go along with many hours of flight time. The captain, age 59, was hired by Marlin Air as a line pilot on February 21, 2005. Marlin Air designated him as the company s chief pilot and then, on August 15, 2005, he was appointed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as Marlin Air s check airman in Cessna Citation 500/550 airplanes. He held a multi engine airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate with ratings in the Citation 500, 550,
  • 15. The Female Characters Of Ophelia And Gertrude Within The Text This analysis of Hamlet will focus on the female characters of Ophelia and Gertrude within the text. Ophelia is the daughter of Polonius, she is a kind, sweet natured girl of who Hamlet has fallen in love with. However, due to the control of both her father and brother Laertes, has been convinced that she should spy on young Hamletas to what his intentions are. Whereas, Gertrudeis a shadowy character with little involvement in the text; it is seen as though she has to live through Claudius in order to function in society. Throughout the text we can see that both Ophelia and Gertrude are oppressed by the male figures around them such as Claudius, Hamlet, Polonius and Laertes who are pivotal characters in the text. She also becomes more mentally unstable as the play progresses. Psychologically , gender can also be a difficult subject to analyse as nowadays your gender is not solely based on whether you are male or female, the terms of gender and sex are used interchangeably and according to western cultures they are not purely connected to physical anatomy. However, focusing on the female figures of Ophelia and Gertrude in relation to the line Frailty, thy name is woman initially suggests that any one woman is the same as all women in society suggesting that they will always be seen as the weaker gender. On the other hand, looking at the Wordsworth classic text of Hamlet, Ophelia can be seen to be being controlled by both her father and brother which could be the reason

In the beginning, SIVMED performed its own basic research, obtained patents on promising technologies, and then either sold or licensed the technologies to other firms which marketed the products. The firm has since then grown and is now contracted to perform research and testing for larger genetic engineering firms, biotechnology firms, the US government, and is now widely recognized as the leader in an emerging growth industry. WACC is calculated by multiplying the cost of each capital component by its proportional weight and then summing then together. The capital components included in this calculation are a firms after tax costs of debt, preferred stock, and common stock. DebtThe first component of a firms WACC is its cost of debt. This is the effective rate that a company pays on its current debt. Because interest expenses on debt are deductible, the after tax cost is used in its calculation. Cost of debt is calculated by multiplying the before tax rate by one minus the marginal tax rate. As given in the Silicon Valley case assignment handout, SIVMED s long term debt consists of 9.5% coupon, semiannual payment bonds with 15 years to maturity. The bonds last traded at a price of $891.00 per $1,000 par value bond. Given this data, SIVMED s cost of debt is calculated at 6.6% . It is often questionable as to whether flotation costs are included in the calculation of a firms cost of debt. Flotation costs are the costs associated with the issuance of new securities. These costs should be included in this calculation. For debt, however, this value is usually ignored because it is very small and does not have a significant affect on the outcome of the calculation. Even though the artists were from different countries, there are certain aspects of their creations that connect them to one another (characteristics, era, culture and ideology). It has brought understanding and security to billions in a world where both are usually sparse. But, religious conflict has been the source of countless wars, genocides, and overall repression. With thousands of different variations of religions around the world, these times of religious conflict caused each to withstand periods of difficulties allowing them to become what they are today. For example, the Catholic Church faced some of its most prominent changes in early modern Europe with the Reformation and the Age of Enlightenment. These periods of struggle sparked doubt towards the Church and led to one of the most perplexing times in the modern era: the witch craze. Upon the initial presentation of witchcraft, religious leaders began turning to their faith to distinguish between what was right and wrong in the eyes of God. It was quickly presumed to be from the hands of the devil, and that something had to be done with those afflicted by his charms. Spanning from the early fifteenth century to the late eighteenth century, tens of thousands of people across Europe and North America were prosecuted for witchcraft, many of whom were killed. Religious leaders amongst Catholicism and some of its religious denominations such as Protestantism and Puritanism feared the unknown that came with witchcraft and used their religious ideology to justify the

The first option is for Gilmore to do nothing to address the issue and continue her employment with SCE. The second alternative is for her to resign from SCE. The final route she has is whistleblowing under the assumption she exhausted all internal options. As a spot check, the first alternative would be unethical. As stated in the final step of evaluating ethical conflicts, one should consider leaving the relationship with the given organization, so they are not in violation of the code. As determined in the previous issue, SCE was in violation of the code by recognizing revenue in the current period. Therefore, Gilmore would be associated with this violation by staying in employment with SEC. This means she would potentially face fines or disciplinary actions from the SEC as well as the State Board of Accountancy. Solely based on this code section, Gilmore does have a reasonable case for walking away and not whistleblowing. However, there are other pieces of literate that needs to be addressed before coming to this conclusion in entirety. To start, one must first address laws surrounding whistleblowing before looking at ethic based authorities. While there is not a law that requires one to whistle blow, there are laws that have been put in place to ensure that

We should not see the ghostly presence inside Grace in exclusively negative terms: as a demon to be exorcised, a disorder to be cured. We should also see it as a survival strategy. The person talking through Grace s mouth during the hypnosis scene quite literally defends and protects Grace when she tells the audience that Grace is not guilty of the murders because she knew nothing about them. This person also enables Grace to insulate her mindagainst the memory of traumatic experiences, and provides her with an outlet for her feelings of jealousy and rage, primarily against Nancy, that Grace more or less represses in her own person. Moreover, the Mary inside Grace turns the tables on the male victimizers with the help of her host s body. Grace can maintain her own sanity and identity only at the cost of splitting in two, of relegating some of her memories and actions to a second person, who turns out to be a murderer. This person, intruding ghost or self created alter, is alias Grace ; she is the same woman as Grace Marks in the sense that she shares some of the experiences and motives of the latter, and she is a different person in the sense that Grace Marks is not aware of her (Niederhoff 79). An unreliable narratoris a narrator who s credibility is put into question due to them being either biased, obscure, or unhinged. • 35. The Works Of William Shakespeare And Sir Philip Sidney Edmund Spenser was a notorious English poet known for writing the long allegorical poem The Faerie Queen. Born into a family of very little wealth he was enrolled into the Merchant Taylors grammar school. He later went on to study at the University of Cambridge where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1573. The time he spent at Cambridge was undoubtly very crucial for the acquisition of his wide knowledge not only of the Latin and some of the Greek classics but also of the Italian, French, and English Literature of his own and earlier times. Without the Roman epic poet Virgil s Aeneid, the 15th century Italian Ludovico Ariosto s Orlando furioso, and, later, Torquato Tasso s Gerusalemme liberata (1581), Spenser could not have written his heroic, or epic, poem The Faerie Queene. The corpus of Spenser can be discussed in the context of the works of William Shakespeare and Sir Philip Sidney. The three share an influence in the same popular Renaissance literary genre, Pastoral, which can be depicted as an idealized vision of a simpler, rural life and a longing for a lost world of innocence. Much happened in the time of the Renaissance, including Reformation and an epidemic so it made sense to want to write about less complex ways of living as a way to escape reality. In The Faerie Queen, Spenser writes with the intent to show young men what better virtues to cultivate in their lives. He does an excellent job doing this by his use of symbolism and descriptive imagery.

This is further typified by the online sharing options at the top right hand corner of the designers web page. The internet is significant to the artworks interpretation, as the consumer/audience s usage of the internet allows them to purchase the piece and enable them to publicise and even resell their own creations. Nothing else shielded him from the rough wind while he sat in the middle of the sidewalk. The gloves that were supposed to protect his hands were completely useless, as they had an abundant amount
  • 38. Transfer to Adult Criminal Court There are times where a juvenile may be eligible for transfer to adult criminal court. There are certain criteria that must be met for this to happen, and there is a strong belief that juveniles who commit serious offenses would be more appropriately dealt with by criminal (or adult) courts (Elrod Ryder, 2011). Juveniles are capable of committing the same serious offenses that adults do. Therefore, with the requirements of a transfer being met, there are times that juveniles should be placed in the adult criminal court system and tried through here, rather than the juvenile court system. The juvenile court system may not have the same consequences or sentencing guidelines as the adult criminal court; therefore, the proper punishment may... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With this message directed towards juveniles, as well as the likely chance that juveniles whom are transferred to the adult criminal court system will result in some type of incarceration, this may lead to a deterrence of violent or misbehaved actions committed by juveniles in an attempt to avoid these prosecutions. These statements conducted by Urbina and White (2009), are statements to consider on the issue of a juveniles transfer to adult criminal court. Although there are strong facts to support this type of transfer for juveniles, Urbina and White (2009) also found that this might not be the best option in some cases. There have been studies that showed juveniles whom were transferred to the adult criminal court system and sent to adult jails were more likely to re offend and with more serious crimes than did their juvenile counterparts (Urbina White, 2009). With this study that was conducted, it adds doubt to the fact that juveniles should be transferred to the adult criminal court system. Although, at times, this may be the best option for serious and violent repeated offenders, it is not likely that this process will have a positive affect on the juvenile or the community. Urbina and White (2009) continue to lack strong argumentative evidence to show the exact times that transferring a juvenile to the adult criminal court system is the
  • 39. Life In Tropical Rainforests In The Tropical Rainforests We may not realize it but many of our everyday necessities come from all sorts of things that live in nature. Whether it s paper or beauty products, we rely on nature for certain things we need and use. What we also may not realize is the demands for certain necessities are the reason why all life within nature decreases. This is primarily focused on tropical rainforests. Over the years we have slowly decreased life within them. We have even cut down parts or entire rainforests to make space for certain facilities we use. This is bad for us and for all life within rainforests. We are destroying the homes of many plants and wild life as well as the air that we breath. If we continue to harvest parts of rainforests it could destroy all the life that inhabits it forever. Rainforests are in Brazil, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands and West Africa. During the day, their average temperature within them is eighty eight degrees Fahrenheit. Once it gets to be later in the evening, the temperature decreases to an average of seventy two degrees Fahrenheit. At one point, they covered about fourteen percent of the earth s surface. After years of them being harvested, currently they now only cover roughly six percent of the earth s surface. They receive anywhere from one hundred and sixty to four hundred inches of rain a year. Rain itself occurs about two hundred and fifty days a year. The rainforestis one of the earth s best recyclers, because seventy five percent of the water

The Different Gender Roles In The Salem Witch Trials Salem Witch Trials was a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in the Salem Village of the 17th century New England. Witchcraft was considered a punishable crime. Salem Witch Trials revealed that gender played a role for the accused and accusers. The trials also revealed that one s relationship with God will set deliverance from Satan s attacks. Salem Witch Trials demonstrated how rumors, jealousy, and the idea of male dominance affected people of the Salem Village. Seventeenth Century America revealed there was male dominance over women. Aldous Huxley s utopia, like all others in literature, end up being corrupted. Huxley s utopia, Pala, is corrupted by external influences, rather than internal influences, which are the most common in the process of corruption. Even though Pala ultimately ends in destruction it is with Huxley s encouragement of individualism and self enlightenment that without outside forces the utopian society of Pala could have been preserved. The influence of Aldous Huxley s family, beliefs, education, and the historical movements during his lifetime heavily influence the characteristics and themes found in his writing. Huxley was raised in a family heavily devoted to science, which contributes to the prominence of scientific thinking in Island. The impact of science on his family was leading him to become a physician, but due to his blindness he was required to find another study. He resorted to studying english literature and philosophy. His study of philosophy is evident in Island, through his considerably opinionated comments made by characters in the novel. His studies were not the only influence of his writing, Huxley was also influenced by the prominence of

The money and military activity have not been enough, and the urban problem, has not been resolved. The United States has the largest demand of drugs in the world. While other countries also face the drug problem, the United States has spent the most money and law enforcement; however, its effectiveness is questionable. Consequently, now there is a great amount of drugs coming from Mexico s borderline into the United States. Langston Hughes s Poem, Negro Speaks Of Rivers In Langston Hughes inspirational poem, Negro Speaks of Rivers, he expresses, My soul has grown as deep like the rivers, (lines 4 and 13), describing how his encounters with racial intolerance have made him stronger as a person in both spiritual and emotional ways; rather than to just step down and submit to the cruelty of racism. The quote could also be interpreted as a sign of perseverance and hope for people who have experienced not only racial injustice, but other forms of degradation in society, both past and present. Langston Hughes uses rivers in his poem as an interpretation of life. At the moment Langston Hughes was inspired to write this poem, he was looking out the window in the train in which he was travelling. On his trip, the train was going across the Mississippi River during sunset he witnessed the magnificence and beauty of nature. This was enough to remind him of hope and all things positive, along with the motivation he needed to compose the poem. I believe the author repeated the use of the word river because it is symbolic. Rivers continue on the path they go; they never stop flowing forward regardless of the circumstances. That is what Langston Hughes wanted the audience to know, and himself as well. Everyone can look forward to a brighter tomorrow even if there is something that holds them back. When everything seems like it is all lost, the only last resort we have is hope. That is the key theme of the entire poem, hope is strength and that

Born and raised in Solzburg, Germany, Beethoven was also an accomplished musician at a young age. However it was not under the caring supervision that Mozart s father granted, but the harsh beating of Beethoven s father who would treat him violently during music lessons after coming home late from a night of drinking at a tavern. Despite this, Beethoven s passion for music was not diminished and he moved to Vienna at age 22 where after Mozart himself praised Beethoven s skills as a musician. In Vienna, he became very popular for his emotional works of art. Composing did not come as naturally to Beethoven as he was very self critical and would spend months dwelling on one piece. Additionally, he was not a very personable man as he was passionate, emotional, and temperamental. These personality traits showed through his music and were only increased when he became deaf. But he did not let it inhibit his composing skills. Beethoven s Symphony No 5, First Movement clearly depicted his frustration at the onset deafness that he had developed. This piece is one of his most famous as it is unpredictable and emotional. Eventually, in 1817, he had

Predicting performance in post graduate education from admissions information comparisons of health professions with pharmacy Richard E Wilcox, PhD* and Kenneth A Lawson, PhD ABSTRACT Objectives. The goal of the present review was to assess the state of performance prediction in health care programs generally, versus performance in pharmacy schools, using didactic and non didactic admissions measures. This is important because clinical success represents a combination of skills that are not fully predicted by either type of measure alone. Methods. PubMed searches were conducted focusing on work published from 2000 onwards, since it is during this period that non didactic admissions measures have come to be incorporated into the applicant evaluation process. Relevant papers that were available as free full text were used. When these papers were not available by direct import into EndNote, we went directly to the journal to try to retrieve the paper. Results. Published literature clearly showed that prediction of performance in the didactic portions of health care programs is straightforward when based on pre health care GPA and achievement testscores. The best predictions are achieved when both measures are combined. While significant statistical prediction is achieved in virtually every study, the percent of total performance variance accounted for is also consistent and uniformly small in the order of 25%. Similarly, there is now an emerging consensus that

Music And Painting From 20th Century Western Music History Yaojun Song Mus114 Sam Music and Painting During the study of 20th century Western music history in this class, I found out there are may same movements of art and music. I took 20th century Art history as well so there is always the comparison of them in my mind. Music and art appear to be two different art forms. Music is both auditory art, but also an art of time and movement. Music express musicians feelings through sound, it will create images in the mind of the viewer for them to have a variety of feelings, and to elicit in the viewer emotional resonance. Painting is a visual art, space art. It is static. Painters use lines, shades and other forms to sketched out some figurative or abstract pattern. It provide visually to the viewer a strong impression and cause them reflect a variety of emotions, resulting in aesthetic stimulation. Music and painting each is done through a different medium with different means of artistic expression. They both convey people the author s expression of the content and emotion. Many artists themselves are both musicians and painters, such as Kandinsky, Schoenberg, Leonardo da Vinci and extra. One of the great examples is Wassily Kandinsky. He is one of the representatives of Russian expressionism painter. He also was a man versed in music. He is a friend of expressionist music composer, Schoenberg.
