Siddhartha Gautama, Siddhartha And The Country Of Nepal
Buddha was born in a mountain kingdom, north of India, the country of Nepal. His Birth name is
Siddhartha Gautama; Siddhartha is a compound of Sanskrit words, sidd and artha. Sidd meaning
Perfection and Artha meaning to have a goal, so the overall meaning of Siddhartha is the one
whose goal is perfection. He was born in a second highest caste in a Hindu family. In Buddhism,
Siddhartha is not considered to be a god; he is just a person and only is considered to have
certain abilities, as an extraordinary human. He was kept inside the kingdom until the age of 29,
and at that time Siddhartha became very unsatisfied with his life despite having family and
wealth. Finally he figured out the problems that are happening in the world, and questions
himself why these things like illness, death, poverty are happening. He decided to leave the
palace in the middle of the night. When everyone was sleeping he went to his wife, gave her a
goodbye kiss and left the palace seeking the liberation from the cycle of rebirth. Him leaving
wealth, family and home is known as going for the Great Renunciation. For the next 6 years he
wandered around India studying with the greatest Hindu gurus, and mastered the Hindu practices
that normally leads to Renunciation. He is still dissatisfied with his life; he didn t find what he was
primarily looking for. He thought he is not putting enough efforts and stopped eating. That didn t
help him get what he wanted. He then sat on the bank of the river,

The United States And Communist Russia
The United States and Communist Russia endured a complicated relationship in the first half of
the 20th century. In the early 1940 s the U.S. had encouraged an alliance with the Soviets against
their common enemy, Nazi Germany. This short lived accord began to deteriorate as WW II
ended. By 1947 U.S. policy toward the Soviet Union had shifted from one of cooperation to a
policy of containment. In 1949, when the Soviets tested their first atomic bomb, it was a widely
held belief in the U.S. that the Russians were an untrustworthy enemy with plans to invade the
United States. America s mood turned on American Communists, labeling them traitors and
Russian spies. Underlying a domestic sense of well being in the United States in the 1950 s... Show

HUAC was created by the federal government in 1938 to investigate the subversive activities of
citizens belonging to Communist organizations. The Committee had powers to subpoena and
hold witnesses in contempt of congress, punishable by imprisonment. Following WW II, as anti
communist sentiment rose in the U.S., the Committee enjoyed strong popular support. Being a
Communist was not a crime so most of the people convicted served sentences for perjury or
contempt of Congress. Another tool used to punish citizens suspected of communist affiliations
was a practice called the Blacklist. Having one s name on the Hollywood Blacklist guaranteed
that person would be unable to find work in the motion picture industry. Hollywood screenwriter
Michael Wilson was called before the HUAC in 1951. When he refused to testify, his name was
added to the Hollywood Blacklist. Writing under a pseudonym, Wilson continued to write but
after 1951 never received credit, during his lifetime , for his screenplays including two Oscar
Winning movies, Bridge on the River Kwai and Friendly Persuasion. (King 2016) A young couple
living in Brooklyn, NY was about to get caught up in the anti communist hysteria with serious
consequences for them and their two young sons. The sons, Robert and Michael, would live their

Schindler s List vs Book Thief
The character Death, in Zusack s The Book Thief says: That s the sort of thing I ll never know
what humans are capable of.
Discuss the way this statement reflects one or more texts you have seen or read this year.
Adaptation is the ability to adjust for existence under environmental conditions. Like how
animals adapt in the wild, humans are also capable to be tolerant in difficult situations. We do
not know our limit of cruelty or kindness. Although most people choose to be kind and
sympathetic to others, there are also people who are cruel and cold hearted. Mark Zusack states
this idea in his book, The Book Thief from death s point of view, That s the sort of thing I ll never

The Athenian Golden Age
As all the states, the city state of Athens grew, flourished, entered its golden age and then fall. There
were three main circumstances, which led to the end of the Greek culture in common and the
Athenian Golden Age particularly. They are represented in the chronic warfare, the spread of
Greek culture outside of Greece, and the farmers are drawn to the cities. The arrogance of Athens
and its way in treating its allies in the Delian Leaguecould be reasons for the end of the Athenian
Golden Age. (Butler, 2007). I will choose the chronic warfare to discuss since I believe that wars
are the major reason, which led to the collapse of many if not all, nations and states through the
history. The city states in the ancient Greecewere tied to either

Richard Wagner Characteristics
We are still waiting for the man who can compose and write a genuine opera. (Furness 14). That
man was Wilhelm Richard Wagner he was known for his operas and other compositions which
influenced many other composers. Wagner wrote many amazing operas, compositions, and poetic
lyrics. Some think he wasn t so important, but some even think he was one of the best holding him
up to Beethoven for his compositions (Furness 7). Wagner s best composition from his career is a
composition called Der Rings Des Nibelungen, which is a composition that is eighteen hours long
and four operas which had reoccurring themes connecting them all together. Firstly, Richard Wagner
was born on May 22 ,1813 in Leipzig, Germany. Wagner had eight siblings, five sisters and three
brothers. He never had much talent in music when he was attending a school in Dresden,
Germany. He played the piano a horrible way and his teacher told him he wouldn t be much
because he couldn t manage to play properly (Newman 46). He had trouble understanding the
terms of the music as a child he knew what they use where he just didn t know how they were
announced. He also struggled in his life when it came to see who his father was even some
would say Richard s facial features resembled his father Carl Friedrich Wagner who passed away
just months after he was born, but an actor named Ludwig Geyer who married Wagner s mother
was on the list of whether he was the father or not. While the only thing they compared Richard

A Brief Note On Summative Assessment Of Unions
Summative Assessment of Unions Thesis statement For workers to create a viable union that will
represent their wishes in the best way possible, it s best they organize and lead the campaign
themselves. Introduction It is a common belief that the best organizers are the workers in a given
organization. It is emphasized that at every stage of organizing process, there should be active
participation of the workers who are seeking representation (Bronfenbrenner, 2013). It is very
essential to getting the contract that they deserve other than just winning an election. As the person
organizing, you have to talk to your co workers. Talking with them will enable you to know if you

It is recommended that the number of the employees in a committee should be around 10. How
do you build majority support? After forming a committee, you need to build support for the
union by talking to other employees. This begins the public phase of your campaign. The best
way to build support is by getting the workers to sign a public petition that supports the unions
key issue and goals. Most employers will, on the other hand, launch their camping against the
union at this point. How do you choose to go union? It largely depends on where you and your
co workers work. If it s private organization, workers, make a choice through elections that are
overseen by the National Labor Relations Board. In a public sector, you can make a union
either through majority sign up or a tradition union election. What about the employer s
campaign? Employers will use different techniques as a way of preventing the union. Some
techniques used are creating conflict between the workers so as to divide the union support and
to create an atmosphere of fear. The union I would choose to help us organize and why There are
so many unions that can help use, but the one that I will go for is the CWA. When we
successfully organize and get CWA representation, we will get a real voice at workplace and job.
The following are some of the benefits of joining CWA (Markowitz, 2014): We will get a legal

Brandy Breaking My Trust
The personal story which I told last week meant a lot for me because it is a story I have been
wrestling with because it was something I have been dealing with majority of my first year here
at UNC. The story of Brandy breaking my trust and our friendship caused me to re evaluate most
of my friendships and caused me to be angry with myself and those around me for some time. In
the last few weeks I grasp the idea in which I couldn t blame my previous friends because of a
betrayal of our friendship, but this betrayal did reshape any relationship I will create throughout my
life. I know now to trustwith ease and that if I don t want something so major to spread and cause
chaos in my life I must either keep it to myself or only share with people like Mahogany, whom I
have trusted for a while in my life. This incident in my life taught me a lot of lessons, which is

specifically going into detail and sharing the story surrounding and STD was important because
it is something that a lot of young people are oblivious to getting them and should understand
that they are easier to catch then they would expect because I sure didn t expect to get

college students allowed for them to see me, a student like themselves as a first year going

The Effectiveness of the Criminal Justice System in...
The reservation of the Convention on the Rights of a Child (CROC) had played invaluable role in
charging the way in which young offenders are dealt with within the Australia Criminal Process.
Including the introduction of the theory known as Doli Incapax meaning the age of criminal
reasonability, the Young Offender Act 1997 NSW as well new law regarding the rights of a child
once they have been arrested. It is evident that these while some of charges are still ineffective in
dealing with Young Offenders within the Criminal JusticeSystem the majority of them are in place
for the greater good and are assisting young offenders when it relates to the Criminal Justice System.
Doli Incapax is just one of the ways in which children are now treated more equally under the
law. According to the theory it is presumption that children are incapable of having criminal
intent which in terms means that children under the age of 10 are unable to be charge with any
criminal offence and when relating to children 10 to 13 the prosecution make be able to show
that the child at the time of the alleged offence actually know what they were doing was seriously
wrong. According to Section 6 of the Children (Criminal Proceedings) Act 1987 children have
rights equal to adult offender and have a right to be heard and participate in criminal proceedings
that affect them, children are responsible for their actions however require guidance and assistance

Animal Poaching In Zimbabwe
Poaching in Zimbabwe has been a major issue in Zimbabwe since the mid 1800 s. Many of
Zimbabwe s wild animals have suffered a massive decline in population due to poaching. The
best way to stop the decline of wild animals in Zimbabwe is drones. Using drones will give
rangers an upper hand against animal poachers by monitoring and tracking different animals and
poaching zones. For the past 2 decades, Endangered animals are being killed for simple body
parts tusks, bones, or pelts illegally for money. Many poaching laws have been established in
Zimbabwe but none of these laws have been effective.
Poaching Вhas been illegal for hundreds of years, but it was during the Late Middle Ages that
poaching became a punishable offense. During this time, the right to hunt was limited to
landowners and nobility. Peasants usually did not have weapons, skills or the extra time to hunt,
so in order to provide food for their families they devised another way to bring meat to their
tables ( How Poaching works ). Since the middle ages people have always been buying and
selling animals but as life got tougher for the poor they had to resort to killing and selling body
parts of animals to gain money. In the mid 1800 s hunting was only for the wealthy and privileged
but as poverty increased poaching levels did too. While hunting was reserved for the privileged, it
was illegal to buy and sell wild animals. It remained illegal to do so until the mid 1800s. Gangs of

Person Centred Approaches to Counselling- Creating a Safe...
Introduction A safe space for a client could be described as a place or space in which a client
feels secure and free to express him/herself in a real, true and open way. This could mean a
number of things to different clients, it is very individual. What makes a person feel safe? The
list could include some or all of the following; Not feeling judged or criticised by the counsellor or
that the counsellor is likely to not accept you if you share something bad Feeling that the counsellor
accurately understands you, what you are saying or trying to say and what you are feeling or
experiencing Feeling that the counsellor is true and genuine in the relationship, his/her real self

Many people will go to therapy because they have had previous bad or traumatic relationships
which have left them damaged or traumatised in some way, quite often these relationships were
with their parents when they were children. They have learned the danger and not to trust the very
people they believed should most be trusted. I believe it can be even more fundamental and
damaging than this still, they have also learned not to trust in themselves to have the ability to
know who is safe to trust or not. The relationship with the therapist then can become something like
a re parenting or a re learning of how a trusting relationship should/could have been with one s
parents. Most people will agree that parents should (in a perfect world) give their children
unconditional positive regard, empathy and be relatively non judgemental with them, also show
them respect and allow them to keep their dignity. Unfortunately this is not always the case. It is
therefore even more important that the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client show
all these things to the highest of degrees. However, if this aspect of trust and safety is not present
it can actually do more harm than good to clients that are already vulnerable and anxious. It can, in
fact be retraumatising and compound their possible views of themselves as being unlovable or
unworthy etc,

How Does Larry King Change In To Kill A Mockingbird
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a novel set in the 1930s, a time of many hardships and
depression. While we think we have moved on from those times, there are still issues in our
modern day society that mirror those in Lee s novel. The killing of Larry King is an instance
that is similar to the death of Tom Robinson in the book. Larry King was a 15 year old student at
Oxnard Middle School in California before he died on Valentine s Day in 2008. He was shot by
his 14 year old classmate, Brandon McInerney two days before and was put on life support.
According to their friends, Brandon and Larry were drastically different. Brandon and a typical
eighth grade boy, a jock. He was tall, athletic and popular. Larry was small, immature, and was on
third grade reading level. But this bloodshed was not caused by their personality differences, but
something they couldn t change. Larry King was homosexual, while Brandon McInerney was
heterosexual. The school allowed Larry to wear heels and makeup to school, deciding to let him
express himself. Before his death, King had walked onto the basketball court in the middle of a
game and asked McInerney to be his Valentine in front of the team, who then made fun of
McInerney. This shows that King had provoked McInerney, but the... Show more content on

Faint Memories Of Visiting My Motherland
Faint memories of visiting my motherland linger in my thoughts and dreams. My visit to
Bangladesh was filled with celebrations, feasts, adventures, and treacherous journeys! Many of
these memories have been forgotten for several years. Faces and locations lost in my head. Yet, it
was on one of these perilous journeys that I had discovered a treasure so grand, that it has been
embedded in my thoughts ever since. A treasure so grand that it couldn t be found anywhere else.
A treasure so valuable that it could never be taken elsewhere to be cherished forever.
My breath was frozen in the air as a dead silence surrounded me. A light fog covered the muddy
trail since I began my hike. The drizzling rain only added to the gloomy and haggard feeling. My
boots were pressed against the ground, slowly sinking into the damp earth. The faint knocking of
bamboo could be heard growing louder. Someone or something was approaching me. Being the
curious and careless child I was, I left the trail to approach the patch of bamboo. The rugged terrain
of the trail pulled at my sore feet, and the wind whistled and whispered in my ears, as it was
warning me not to leave. But, I continued to trudge forward into the unknown. The bamboo was
bendy enough for my weak arms to push as I approached the knocking noise. Slowly I took
cautious steps to avoid the broken and fallen pieces of bamboo scattered across the ground. As I
was about to take my next step, a person s foot came slamming down into the ground! I stumbled
backward, crashing onto the ground! Suddenly, a figure broke through the cluster of bamboo.
As I looked up, out stepped a figure familiar to me. It was my father! His confusion expression
became that of relief as he helped up from the ground. He told me to follow him back to the trail
he was on. My dad and I cut through the stalks of bamboo once again until we reached a trail
similar to previous. We continued to follow the trail was a maze of lush greenery and foliage.
The trail twisted and curved. It was unknown to me, yet so familiar to my dad, I thought as I
continued hiking in amazement. Trees towered over us as the skyscrapers in the city would. The
trees were castles of wood protecting a hidden treasure. Flowers and

Beetroot Essay
The reason why we got these results can be explained, when alcohol interacts with the cell
membrane is affects the normal formation of the lipid chains that form in a bilayer, it is believed
that alcohol binds underneath the charged head of the lipid and displaces water that is originally
there [1] this breaks up the membrane allowing more of the red pigment to diffuse out of the
beetroot. [2] The ethanol forms temporary bonds with the phospholipid heads in the bilayer as
they are opposite dipoles causing the phospholipids to move out of place causing gaps to form
which allows large molecules such as betalain to diffuse out of the cell. As well proteins, like
enzymes, can become denatured by the ethanol due to the same affect as with the phospholipids
this can disrupt the hydrogen bonds, which maintain secondary structure. The negative ethanol
molecules cause the bonds between the amino acid chains R groups to... Show more content on

Cholesterol in the membrane is not soluble in water but in ethanol it is soluble, at high
concentrations it actually begins to dissolve, as the cholesterol is no longer present and is used to
hold the phospholipids together, the bilayer comes more fluid, cholesterol helps provide stability
so once removed there becomes larger gaps in between the phospholipids causing larger molecules
to be able to diffuse out, such as betalain, therefore the cell membrane is increasingly more
permeable [3]. This is what caused the results that we got, as the concentration increased so did the
gaps in the membrane in size increase, allowing more pigment to diffuse out, especially at higher
concentrations when cholesterol too dissolved, then as the concentration got higher at 60% the
results leveled off as the effect stayed

Cultural Revolution Mao
A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall
Evaluate the accuracy of this statement in relation to the causes of the Chinese cultural revolution
A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall. This statement by
Che Guevara suggests that in order for a revolution to occur, the leaders must not hesitate, but
rather, they should take immediate and effective actions. This quote is particularly accurate for the
Chinese Cultural Revolution, because the main leader of the Revolution Mao Zedong was able to
manipulate the public, thus enabling him to bring about a revolution. The Cultural Revolution
occurred as a result of the failures in the Great Leap Forward, and officially, Mao claimed that the
goal of the Chinese Cultural Revolution is to build a society surrounding the proletariats by
bringing back revolutionary spirit. However, it became increasingly clear that Mao s real intentions
were rather personal, as he used the Cultural Revolution to re establish his power as the Chairman
of the Communist Party of China.
The Cultural Revolution was Mao s response to the disasters of the Great Leap Forward, during
which at least 30 million Chinese people starved to death in the span of 5 years (Ben Walsh). In
1959, Mao admitted that I also have an indirect share of the blame... I don t want other people to
shirk their responsibility. (Phillip Short). This suggests that even though Mao was aware that his

For the first part of my observation I noticed that the environment was not in the best shape that it
could be, so I asked the program supervisor John why the environment looked like it was under
repair and he explained that the whole school was under construction. Through my observation I did
notice that for the most part the environment was safe, but it did have major hazards that concerned
me. The environment had safe ratios, for example, in the specific class that I observed there was
seven infants and two adults the caretakes informed me that it is regularly eight infants in the
classroom four infants per adult, but a child was out sick with the flu. In addition, I noticed that in
the front part of the classroom where the door entry and fire extinguisher are located there was a
fire and emergency plan that includes emergency information and a plan to get the infants to safety.
The classroom also had emergency numbers posted by the phone area and I was told that all
emergency cards were stored in a file card holder that is easy to access. Furthermore, throughout my
observation I noticed that children could take risk opportunities like running around, climbing, and
playing in tent areas without injury and with constant supervision. The classroom I observed was
accepting of constant interactions, but they always made it clear to the children that it was not
appropriate to hurt one another. However, although the program had many good qualities that

Drug Testing In Schools
Drug Testing in Schools Drug testing in schools is a very controversial issue with strong opponents
and proponents. The controversy comes down to legality, safety, and privacy, with both sides of the
argument having different perspectives on each. Drug testing for schools is a fairly recent
development in the educational system, supposedly aimed at fighting an evolving drug problem in
the United States. One side of the argument concludes that random drug testing is harmful,
infringes on students rights, and is ineffective at solving the drug problem. The first large scale
national study on student drug testing found no difference in schools that have drug testing
programs and those that do not (Appel). Side A claims that drug testing... Show more content on

the application of these programs, or not having them at all. Overall, the main goal of this proposal
is to come up with a plan that both satisfies the need for a drug testing program, and alleviates the
concerns of those who are wary of drug testing for the reasons of legality and effectiveness. In order
to solve the drug problem, there must be compromise in order to further our understanding of the
issue at hand, and this proposed solution allows for compromise that all can agree on. Works Cited

such a way as to give as to give us certainty about what it true in a given situation. The conclusions
certainty is established when deductive arguments contain true premises reasons stated in the
correct form (Diestler 2012). So basically, deductive reasoningis taking some set of data or facts
and using that to come up with other deducting facts. When using deductive reasoning its
sometimes knows as the top down approach which is sometimes used for research... Show more

Therefore, you start to think out of the box and having different opinions it can allow you to have
better decision making skills in choosing better life choices for yourselves. In the video that was
shown during the lecture about decision making named How To Make Better Decisions (https:/
/youtu.be/QW AUTh6WOY) a mathematician believes he can solve complex human problems by
using math. In decision making mathematics share the same language, in you have problems that
need to be solved. Therefore, you look at the factors that you re going away against each other so
solve the problem with using math. In the example is trying finding a suitable girlfriend using
numbers. The experiment was to see if the math could predict the volunteers which consist of the
four nerdy science guys could get numbers from girls from a bar setting. The conclusion the
volunteers were a success. Also, something that was discovered was with this simply analyzing
the decision before hand seem to have given the guys more confidence to approach and talk to
girls at the bar. The only person who was not successful was one of the guys Levi who reject the
magic numbers and failed at the experiment in this performance. I don t always think that math can
always be used, but you can if you want to make a logical decision then you make choose math to
help you with the decision making. One thing that can helps me in making better decisions is

Why Fluoride Is Dangerous And Harmful
Rationale:
Most people would like to control what they consume, and even though this is becoming harder
with unmarked labeling and chemical additives, governments and councils all over the globe are
adding chemicals such as fluoride into city water supplies. The public is told that it is just to
conserve their health but we have created the illusion for ourselves that fluoride is added for other
reasons, I.E. population control and to lower our IQ. So why are governments doing this? I
thought that it would be interesting to find out why fluoride is added to our water and if it is really
necessary.
Intro:
Most people know fluoride as a chemical added to water and toothpaste to improve dental health.
Some people believe that fluoride is vital to the growth and maintenance of out teeth but others say
fluoride is dangerous and harmful even when diluted. So what are the reasons behind adding this
supposed poison to our water supply and do we really need it? Well I believe we need fluoride, and
this document should help to explain why.
What Is Fluoride:
Fluorine is an element in the many fluoride compounds that are commonly added to water supplies
and dental products to rebuild and reinforce the enamel on our teeth. There are over 10 different
fluoride compounds. This is because fluorine has the capability of forming compounds with nearly
all the elements. When fluorine is combined with something else, for example sodium, it becomes a
fluoride compound (Sodium Fluoride).

Black Men And Public Space Essay
There have been many stories about discrimination. It has affected people of color. Those stories
explained how bad it can be for outsiders. Stories like that have had a big impact on society. Two
stories that are an example of that are Black Men and Public Space by Brent Staples and The F
Word by Firoozeh Dumas. The stories, Black Men and Public Space and The F Word are similar
because both characters were discriminated against themselves, were not the only ones harassed,
and each went through a tough moment. One of the ways the two essays are similar is because
both characters were discriminated against themselves. For example, In Black men and Public
Space Staples was discriminated against for his skin color. He lived in a part of Chicago where it
was mostly white American people. Sometimes people would not look his way and ignored him
because they thought he was up to no good. The reason for that was because white peopledid not
want to associate with a black man. Staples was also discriminated because of the way he walked
at night. In the essay, an example of that was when Staples explained that he was walking behind
a woman. The woman turned around and saw him. The woman thought he was a mugger because
Staples was black. In his own words, Staples described After a few more quick glimpses; she
picked up her pace was soon running in earnest, within seconds she disappeared into a cross street
(pg195). That was the kind of discriminations he had

Mind Map Analysis
I found this activity very interesting because it was more creative than some of our other
discussion board assignments. The mind map expanded significantly just from one idea, which
shows the strength of the word Terrorism and the problems that have occurred because of it. It
was interesting to see a collective train of thought amongst many people. I noticed that a lot of
people mentioned the countless shootings that have been reported recently in the news. While
there were many shootings before this school year, I thought of Parkland while looking at the
mind map. One of my classmates graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and is
friends with many of the older siblings of the students that died in the shooting. His mother also
works at the school, and while she survived without any injuries, it must be terrifying knowing that
she was there. This was unfortunately the first time I had a connection to a school shooting I
could not imagine the stress and fear that my peer must have endured. I also saw a bubble with
KKK written inside of it. This stood out to me because I go to school in Charlottesville, which is

East when the word terrorism is in mind, it puts a negative connotation on the entire region. This
goes for other places that have had shootings and traumatic events. No one will ever hear the
words Columbine, Parkland or Charlottesville without thinking about violence and crime. Going
back to the events in Charlottesville, the riots made it slightly difficult to go back to school. I

Classroom Design Analysis
The studio classroom here at RPI is unique in the way that students and professors interact with it.
The room was set up to cultivate open and creative thinking in order to inspire design. Due to the
interactive nature of the studio classroom, both professors and students frequently use the white
board when teaching or explaining class concepts. When selecting my project 2 product, I
connected my experiences with the uses of the classroom whiteboard and thought of a Whiteboard
Squeegee . Now that I am at the point in the design process where I analyze the potential users and
stakeholders, I narrowed down the user group for the whiteboard to studio professors and students.

This issue is brought to light from Donald Norman s different perspective, for people themselves
are often unaware of their true needs, even unaware of the difficulties they are encountering
(Norman 9). I have been using whiteboard erasers for my entire academic career and have
always subconsciously noted the fact that using them, especially on a large board, comes with its
issues. They can be tiring and difficult to reach and clean the entire board, due to the small
handheld eraser that has been adopted and remained relatively unchanged. The whiteboard eraser
in the studio classroom seems to have been overlooked by the user group perhaps for multiple
reasons, which adds strength to my cause as a designer. The ability to design for a group of
individuals who thoroughly appreciate innovation allows for my project to have a strong potential
impact. Initially, I assumed that my user group would contain but not be limited to people who
interact in a classroom. The fault in this thinking comes into play when defining the unique
characteristics of the user group. A generic classroom doesn t necessarily need a larger ergonomic
whiteboard eraser because it doesn t hold much value to them outside of its function as an eraser.
My target user group is in constant need of products and scenery that enhance the classrooms design
identity. Though a white board eraser may seem insignificant, it could inspire the design of

Dam has on China. The Three Gorges Dam does not appear to outweigh the costs because of the
amount of people having to be relocated, lower water levels, and the loss of many ancient artifacts.
Some people might argue that the Three Gorges Damis good because it improves navigation,
advances electricity, and controls floods but the negative impacts are more harmful to China s
future. Along with the hardships that are brought along with the damChina had to relocate many

Over 1,000 sites and artifacts were lost or submerged under the water. One of the most famous
items that were buried was the Giant Buddha Statue. According to an Excerpt from the Great
Wall Across the Yangtze it says, A massive sculpture of the seated Buddha rests in the yellowish
sandstone cliffs at Single Pebble Village just east of Chongqing. When the tide is high, the
statue s base is flooded, and there are watermarks indicating various water levels on the Buddha s
feet, legs, and lower belly. Due to all this flooding this ancient statue might be lost if it is not

there is no need to worry about artifacts but that is incorrect. If many of the artifacts are lost, the
future generations of China will never have a primary learning experience of these items. They
will not have pictures of the artifacts, just words to describe them. Imagine how the children will

to another. These categories are as follows: The jokers, the snitches(AKA the teacher s pets), the
backgrounders, the friendlies, the suppliers, the losers(the name for the losers will be explained

everything into a joke and always try to get the teacher off track when in class. The jokers are
almost always getting into some kind of trouble, for they never know when to stop joking or

absolute polar opposite of the snitches(AKA the teacher s pets). Jokers are never be caught dead

The Cardiovascular System Responses During Submaximal...
INTRODUCTION
Information on cardiovascular differences between the sexes is necessary for allied health
professionals to best adapt rehabilitation exercises for the patients with cardiovascular diseases
(CVD). The cardiovascular system has to adjust in response to metabolic demands of working
muscles during exercise. Gender related differences on how the body meets the increased demands
while still maintaining homeostatic arterial blood pressure has been widely researched (CITE).
There is some support that vaso regulation differences are due to female sex hormones (estrogen,
in particular estradiol), and less sympathetic nervous system influence when compared to males
(CITE). Additionally, body composition (higher muscle mass in males) and substrate utilisation
(more lipid substrate utilisation in females) have been found to have significant effects on the
cardiovascular system responses during submaximal exercise (CITE). Upper body exercise has
been found to create more stress on the cardiovascular system compared to lower body exercise
(CITE). The primary causes of death in the Australian population are directly or indirectly related
to cardiovascular diseases (CVD) (CITE). Although, men are at greater risk for developing CVD,
women have been found to have a higher morbidity rate post surgery (CITE). Additionally, the
presentation of symptoms for female differs to that of their male counterparts (CITE). Thus, further
investigation to better understand the differences

Cardiovascular Conditioning Essay
Cardiovascular fitness shows how the heart and lungs supply oxygen rich blood to the working
muscle tissues and the ability of the muscles to use oxygen to produce energy for movement. The
ability to deliver oxygen to the muscles is affected by many physiological parameters, including
heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output, and maximal oxygen consumption. Cardiovascular
conditioning utilizes and transports the necessary oxygen and nutrients to body tissues. In order for
the body to deliver adequate oxygenated blood and nutrients to the muscles, the body has to be well
conditioned. By the body being well conditioned it improves the muscles capacity to use extra
oxygen. Cardiovascular training is the most important style of training both... Show more content on

The warm up is the most important part of cardiovascular conditioning. Warming up before an
intense exercise helps to gradually increase the heart rate and prevent abnormal heart rhythms.
Warming up also helps with preventing straining on the heart muscleand heart attacks from
abnormal heart rhythms. The warm up period should last about five to ten minutes. During this
time the body is preparing for the exercise activities.
Warm up exercises prepare the body for exercising by increasing the blood flow to the muscles
allowing them to loosen up, which can raise the flow of oxygen to the muscle cells. Doing this
gradually increases the body s temperature. This then increases the speed and force of muscular
contractions, because nerve impulses travel faster at higher body temperatures, and muscles
become less stiff or more pliable.
They also help to gradually increase the heart rate and ensure that the demand made on the
circulatory and metabolic systems is gradual as well. In a safe and gradual way they allow blood
to be diverted away from other parts of the body such as the digestive system to the muscles being
exercised. This initial part of your exercise session helps to improve neural function and co
ordination, protect major joints as it takes time to increase the supply of lubricating synovial fluid
and to thicken the articular cartilages the body s shock absorbers.

Abolish The Death Penalty Should Not Be Abolished

Composition 1
09 July 2015
Abolish the Death Penalty Since the state has no power to give life, it should not exercise its
power to take a life either. After all, the judicial system is not a fool proof system. The risk of
putting an innocent human being to death by capital punishment, cannot be ruled out. The only
purpose it serves is retribution or revenge. Therefore, the death penalty must be abolished. The
death penalty is prone to errors that may have led to the execution of wrongfully convicted people.
There have been 330 post conviction DNA exonerations here in the U.S (Innocence Project).
The Supreme Court should bring the United States in line with the rest of the world and hold that
death is a cruel and unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth Amendment. The death penalty
process consumes tremendous amounts of money and resources and fails to deter murders.
The average cost to put someone to death is 1.1 million dollars that Americans are paying for
(Huddar, Buzzle). That money can be used for a lot more things, such as, helping homeless
veterans, who served our country, or children who live in poverty right here in America. It is used
in an often arbitrary and racist manner. In a study commissioned by the governor of Maryland,
defendants who kill white victims were more likely to be sentenced to death than those who killed
a black (McElwee, Huffington Post) Not only does the death penalty

famous in large part due to UCLA coach John Wooden and consists of building blocks that lead to
greatness or success (Fifer, 2006). Dr. Steinberg stated that the pyramid of success or greatness has

Steinberg involves the use of personality and workplace fit tools to ensure increased efficiency (G.
Steinberg, personal communication, August 13, 2016). Dr. Steinberg spoke about the importance
of the corporate culture and individual supervisory leadership style needing to mesh well. He also
discussed the important of hiring the correct candidate based on personality fit so that resources are
not wasted with low efficiency and high employee turnover. The employee s ability to form good
working relationships with coworkers in the specific workgroup is extremely important, and strong
coworker relationships can at times mediate conflicts that arise between corporate and personal
values (Menguc, Auh, Katsikeas, Yeon Sung, 2016). Turnover rate is particularly important in the
nursing profession in which I am currently employed. The turnover cost for a nurse in the U.S. is
estimated to be at least $20,000, with many areas reporting even higher costs (Duffield, Roche,
Homer, Buchan, Dimitrelis, 2014). As nursing is typically one of the larger budget items for a
healthcare system, it is very important that the right nurses are chosen during the selection process.

Effect Of Innovation Within The Healthcare Industry
The effect of innovations within the healthcare industry leads to many scientific and technical
changes in healthcare delivery. To cope with these changes, there necessitate to prepare and train
healthcare workers to improve employees knowledge and the quality of care. Limited clinical
experience with new mode of mechanical ventilation, such as Airway Pressure Released
Ventilation mode, make its implementation difficult in real critical world. Adequate staff training
time, offsite support services, and backup from ventilator manufacturers are essential to improve
employees knowledge and skills. My research topic seeks to investigate the effectiveness of

Released Ventilation (APRV) was first introduced by Dr. Christine Stock and Dr. John Downs, in
the late 1980s. The APRV application was originally used as a rescue therapy to manage ARDS
patients who have difficulty in oxygenation.{40} The Drager Evita was the first ventilator provide
APRV. Other ICU ventilator manufacturers incorporated APRV mode with different terminology.
Such as, the Maquet Servoi refers to APRV as Bi vent; the Puritan Bennett 840 uses the term Bi

The idea of world government has not received a good press for many years. It tends to make most

there is a viable form of democratic world government which could bring many benefits.
A democratic world government that really worked would lead to a major increase in the freedom

The Importance Of Operant Conditioning
Operant Conditioning Within the early 19th Century, Edward Throne like conducted experiments
on dogs and cats to determine the way these animals behave under certain conditions. These studies
were conducted through replicating and standardizing the circumstances that the animals were in
through a controlled environment. As such, this model demonstrated that animals had the nature to
learn when they were presented with certain consequences. In 1938, Burrhus Friederich (B. F.)
developed the core idea of the Operant ConditioningSkinner, which claims that operant
conditioning, was brought about by the response from the operant under threat (Sakagami, Lattal,
2016). Some factors were involved in the increase of the operant conditioning especially when
Edward Thorndike was examining the behavior of cats and rats. It was necessary to consider the
problem solving abilities of these animals within puzzle boxes that would otherwise lead the
animals in a state of constraint. Moreover, there was a need to understand the relationship exhibited
between the appropriate reaction to the individual situation and the associated strengths to the same.
Moreover, other factors such as the ability of the animals to learn under the conditions presented as
was later proven by Skinner.
The core principles that are important in understanding the operant conditioning and how it may
result in the retention offer includes the operant variability where the individual may experience

Chronic Conditions That Can Not Be Cured
LTC s are chronic conditions that cannot be cured but can be maintained and symptomatically
controlled with medication and therapies (World Health Organisation [WHO], 2015; Department of
Health [DOH], 2005). The management of LTC s has been implemented due to the increase in the
ageing population which in turn produces an increase in the incidence of LTC s such as diabetes,
Parkinson Disease [PD], pernicious anaemia, chronicobstructive pulmonary disease, neurological
and heart conditions. Due to word restriction the author will discuss diabetes and Parkinson s
disease.
Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person s blood sugar to become too high or too low
as the pancreas no longer produces the right amount, or any, insulin (NHS Choices, 2014). Insulin
is a hormone which is released from the pancreas, working by moving sugar from the blood into
other body tissues enabling the liver to stop producing excessive glucose. There are two main
types of diabetes, type1 and type 2. Once known as childhood diabetes or insulin dependent
diabetes, type 1 is much rarer than type 2 diabetes which occurs when the body becomes resistant
to the effects of insulin (Mayo Clinic, 2016; MedlinePlus, 2016). Symptoms of diabetes include
excessive thirst, frequent urination, tiredness, long healing wounds and unexplained weight loss
which occurs due to glucose staying in the blood (Diabetes UK, 2016). If a patient develops
diabetes and diet change or medications are unable to control

Why Does Anjelah Johnson Use Humor
Is it ever funny to joke about how a certain race speaks? In a comedy routine by Anjelah Johnson
she jokes about an interview where there was a spanish and English one the movie My family
wedding they said that the Latino cast could do the Spanish interview and the black cast can do the
English interview. Anjelah couldn t do the interview because she didn t speak Spanish. Anjelah
effectively uses humor in this routine to get the audience to laugh about how funny it is that a
Latino can t speak Spanish. First, johnson effectively uses structure in her jokes in order to prepare
the audience for her punch lines.More members of the audience find her jokes funny. For example
for the setup for a later punch line she explains to the audience

The Study Of Fermentas Coli Origame
In the current study domain III of PE was deleted and replaced by STXA, by the recombinant DNA
technology. STXA was transferred across the cell membrane using domain IIof PE. This domain
facilitates the internalization of extracellular compounds into the cytosol, and can translocate
heterologous molecules into the target cells(15). Then PE II and STX are connected to fragment
variable (Fv) domains of herceptin and create a (single chain) scFv immunotoxin(16).
Material and Method
1.1. Material and Reagent
Restriction enzyme was obtained from Fermentas Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. (Massachusetts,
USA). Bacterial strain (E. coli Origami B), SKBR3 and MCF 7 cell lines were purchased from

166 amino acids of STXA (accession No. P09385) and the 143 amino acids of the PE ( accession
No. P11439) were selected and fused by ASGGPE linker to the C terminus of the vl. This chimeric
construct synthesized by Biomatic company (Wilmington, USA).
1.3. transformation and Expression of recombinant protein
The synthetic scFv(herceptin) PE stxa chimeric gene was cloned in a pET28a expression vector.
Recombinant vector pET28a scFv(herceptin) stxa was digested by BamHI and xhoI restriction
enzymes and 1683 pb DNA sequence was obtained. Then recombinant vector pET28a was
transformed into E. coli strain BL21(DE3) by elcteroporation. The transformed colonies were
cultured in 5 mL of Lysogeny broth (LB) containing 20 mg/mL kanamicyn at 37 В°C. When
OD600 reached 0.6 0.8, 1 mM IPTG was added. The culture was incubated at 37 В°C for 6 h. Then,
the cells were collected by centrifugation at 3,000Г—g/10 min. Then, expression of scFv(herceptin)
stxa) chimeric construct was analyzed by SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE).
Different IPTG concentrations (0.5, 0.6, 0.8, and 1 mM), and various induction duration (2, 5, 7,
16 H), at two separate culture temperature (30 and 37 В°C), were tested for optimization of protein
expression.
1.4. Purification of chimeric recombinant protein
The recombinant scFv(herceptin) PE stxa protein was purified using Ni NTA resin under native

these can only be made possible through the adoption and inception of electronic banking system in
a nation.Customers in developed countries enjoy faster and easier service but this modern banking
system has not been fully adopted in developing nations like Nigeria.
Another issue is the security challenges that electronic banking system is presently faced with in

San Francisco 1915
San Francisco 1915 Palace of Fine Arts The Palace of Fine Arts was one of the finest buildings
constructed for the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. It was one
of the most important symbols of the fair, situated near its center, at the end of the axis on which
were located the Courts of the Four Seasons and of the Universe at the center, and the Court of
Abundance, with the Machinery Palace framing the other side. The Palace was designed by a
well known local architect, Bernard Maybeck (b. New York, New York 1882; d. Berkeley,
California 1957) who studied architecture at the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts. Maybeck then moved
to San Francisco, joined the firm of A. Page Brown, and established a private... Show more content

The center of the arch was placed behind the rotunda, so that the two were not aligned in
concentric rings. This allowed a wider arch to be built in the same space, giving it a grander
appearance. The pergola can be more closely seen in the next image, reprinted from the same
source and measuring 4 by 6 inches, as well as in the third and fourth images, which are
photographs from Souvenir Views of the Panama Pacific International Exposition San Francisco
California 1915 (7 in. x 11 in.) There were ochre columns, topped by boxes, mixed with pale
green ones. The boxes were originally meant to house small trees and hanging vines, but these
were not planted for budgetary reasons. At each corner of the boxes stood statues of women
looking inwards, sculpted by Ulric Ellerhusen. They were meant to represent the melancholy of
life without art. The colonnades stood along the side of the lagoon, as can be seen in the second
image, with the reflection of the tranquil water adding a pleasant element. Along the side of the
walkway in the pergola was a garden of small trees and shrubbery. Plants were present everywhere
in the Palace, along the pergola and the rotunda, befitting the theme of a decaying ruin, overrun by
nature. According to Maybeck, it is the water and the trees that people came to see (Macomber, 23).
The natural scenery was integral to his design. The combination of majestic

Effects Of Physical Abuse On Elderly
The Effects of Physical Abuse on Married Couples, Children, and the Elderly Physical abuse is a
kind of domestic abuse that deals with children, elderly people, and even married couples. About
4,000 women each year die due to physical abuse and approximately 75 percent of women who
are killed by their spouse are murdered when they attempt to leave or after they have left their
abusive relationship. Abuse is a pattern of behaviors; some are physical, mental, emotional and
they are even sometimes like episodes people go through every day. Around 1 in 10 Americans
matured 60 years old or more established have encountered some type of elderly mishandle and
the evaluated range is as high as five million older folks who are manhandled every year.... Show

One way is to learn what the situation is and how dangerous it can get trying to prevent it. It is
important to also know who the abuser is, because whoever keeps the is the one who most likely
is abusing the child. You should only have on stable babysitter, because you do not want anyone
watching your child. If you think your child is being abused, try talking about it with them. Try
to get the child to tell you what happened and who did it to them. Stay alert is also important,
because not only your babysitter can do the abusing;it could also be a close relative or a friend.
Most importantly you need to get involved and give the children who did not have the chance to
tell their parents, get that chance, because you never know when it is too

Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Diversity
As philosopher, Johannes Scotus Eriugena once said, Beauty is unity in the diversity. Diversity in
a society is akin to the local signature dish, rojak , where different ingredients are mixed together
in a bowl to produce a distinct taste. Similarly, in a diverse society, there are people from various
races, ethnicities and beliefs integrating to become a unique cultural identity. Diversity inculcates
acceptance and respect in a society. One has to understand that each and everyone is unique in his
own ways. There are many diverse societies in the world and Singapore is one of them. Being a
multi racial country, Singapore is home to various races, cultures and religions. A diverse society
does have its advantages and disadvantages. The former includes the promotion of humanistic
values and the improvement of productivity and profitability while the latter may result in social
tension.

One of the common disadvantages of a diverse society is that it can possibly trigger social
tensions and unrests. In instances where social tensions occur, there will be civil disorder or
disturbance that is usually caused by two opposing groups, which are made up of different races,
ethnicities or religions. This may be an impact of the rifts that are created over time due to the
imminent cultural and linguistic differences within the society. A good example is the divide and
rule policy. In 1822, Stamford Raffles devised a town plan with the purpose of remodeling
Singapore into a modern city. He set a divide and rule whereby ethnic zones were marked out for
each ethnic group for residential purposes. Such policies may result in the difficulty to maintain
social cohesion and understanding between the people of different backgrounds. It can then lead to
conflicts and disagreements as well as discriminations due to the lack of communication amongst

Aspirations In A Raisin In The Sun
In 1959 A Raisin in the Sun debuted on Broadway, marking the debut of the first black
playwright. Four years later in 1963 Martin Luther King Jr not only helped organize spoke
during the March on Washington which up to this point marked one of the largest gatherings of
non segregated people in peaceful protest ever. Both of these incredible and influential works of
writing were firsts in their respective media due to their focus in discussing how America has
given the Negro people a bad check; a check which has come back marked insufficient funds.
(King 2). A Raisin in the Sun has many important and progressive themes but one of the larger
themes in the book is dreams and people s aspirations, as the main characters struggle to deal
with institutionalized oppression that rules their lives. The title of the play is a reference to a
poem by Langston Hughes that he wrote about dreams that were forgotten or put off. He writes
about what will happen to people s dreams will they let them shrivel up like a raisin in the sun.

Madonna and Venus from Two Different Periods Essay
Madonna and Venus From Two Different Periods I have always been intrigued by the many
depictions of Madonna and Venus therefore I chose to compare and contrast Parmigianino s
Madonna of the Long Neck from the mannerist style of the later Renaissance and Titian s Venus of
Urbinofrom Venetian Renaissance. First I will tell you a little bit about the historical background of
both paintings, then I will prove my thesis by talking about exemplifies two artist s style and the
movement it represents, and considering the differences between two artwork in artistic styles,
subject matter, and formal approaches.
First, Madonna of the Long Neck was created at the Mannerist period in 1535 by Parmigianino
sized 7 x 4 . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When looking at Madonna with the Long Neck, the colors are subdued and dull but his use of
color with the High Renaissance formula the primary colors. In terms of mannerism, elongation was
thought to create a more elegant and graceful look, which may be one of the main reasons why
Mannerist art contained a lot of unnatural looking human figures. In the painting, I see a lot of
elongation being used in different areas as well as oddly proportioned bodies. Madonna herself
has a very extended neck, which holds up her smaller sized head making her look unusual and
abnormal. Below her neck, I see her unnaturally slanted shoulders and her elongated fingers
resting on her chest. Her legs also appear to be very long as they look much bigger than her
narrow upper body. This makes for Madonna being a very colossal and dominant figure.
Furthermore, when comparing Madonna to the women who stand beside her, Madonna is huge.
In Madonna s lap is her baby Christ who also has unnaturally long features. The body of baby
Christ is so long especially his legs. It looks like a much older boy. I think Pontormo wanted the
audience to focus more on the bodies and the drama, rather than the specific details.
In Venus of Urbino, Titian formed a good composition that balances somewhat the delicate static
character of the reclining Venus with a consistent dynamic component. The painting

and it was already on the side of maturity stage with declining growth.
The simple motive of the merger was to take advantages of each other s distribution networks

to Chrysler s distribution networks in North America, while Chrysler could reach out to Europe
market thanks to Daimler Benz s networks. Goldman Sachs was just brought in to make the deal

Moreover, Daimler Benz s and Chrysler s brand images were completely opposite, which makes
them lose their own intrinsic value if they would merge together. Again, the clash in cultures and
values took them apart and a harmony within the new company seemed to be impossible.
In addition, with the purpose of protecting sales of Daimler s luxury and uncompromising
quality products like Mercedes, some core vehicles of Chrysler, such as Dodge Neon and the
Jeep Grand Cherokee, were sidelined in favor of Daimler s products. Apparently, Chrysler s
products are always within cost control, while Daimler Benz s vehicles are less cost effective.
Merging with Daimler Benz, Chrysler hadn t earned as many benefits as expected, but already
faced a severe internal competition which harmed it business not only in the US market, but also
hindered Chrysler s plan of expansion in Europe.
Practically, from Chrysler s point of view, instead of benefiting from synergy savings and instead
of promoting its brand in new market, the merger with Daimler Benz actually put Chrysler into a
bigger chaos and

The World Trade Center Essay
When the world trade center was first opened in 1937, it was considered to be one of the greatest
construction projects in United States history. The twin towers, standing at 1,368 feet tall and
1,362 feet tall, were the two tallest buildings that the world had ever seen (The World Trade
Center). Not only was the World Trade Center an institute for office space and shopping, but it
also served as a tourist attraction that people from all across the globe would come to see. The
towers went on to became a part of the daily life of New York City. Consequently, no one could
have foreseen the horrendous events that would occur on September 11, 2001. Not even the
President of the United Statescould have expected something of this magnitude. It was just an
average Tuesday morning in New York when the unthinkable happened. American Airlines Flight
11 crashed into the World Trade Center s North Tower at precisely 8:46 AM (Ritter). The entire
city was instantly thrown into a frenzy of panic and disarray. No one knew what exactly had
happened and citizens were looking for answers. Many tuned into NBC as they began coverage of
the events at 9:52 AM (Wing). The network started off by interviewing a shocked Jennifer
Overstein over the phone. Apparently, Jennifer had witnessed the first explosion as it happened.
She didn t know what had caused the explosion, but she was frantically explaining what happened.
She gave descriptions of emergency vehicles, fearful citizens, and heavy smoke

A camp prisoner s day began with an early morning wake up call, followed by a wash in dirty
water(Steele 52). They then had to quickly go outside and stand perfectly still while the Nazis

Sometimes they would do it a second time because when they were standing still for hours they
could pass out or even die from standing that long and those standing next to them couldn t do
anything about it until after roll call. After roll call the Jews would go straight to work without
anything to eat until lunch. At lunch time they would all line up with their bowls and wait to get
watery soup. Those who were at the back of the line get nothing but water. When they were
finished with their lunch they had to go back to work. They would work for the rest of the day
until dinner time. At dinner, the prisoners were lucky to even get a small piece of burned bread
and after dinner the Jews would go to bed. By the time that the

The Emotional And Criticism Of Romanticism By William...
Introduction Amongst the dogmatic religious past, which when confronted by the enlightened
present became more rigid in its practice and conformity, and enduringly factual and empirical
science lived a man called William Wordsworth, so sentimental and philosophic that even greater
minds couldn t solve completely the cipher that his word created, or rather couldn t completely
understand the legacy that he left for the modern era. Even when heard or looked upon different

  • 2. Siddhartha Gautama, Siddhartha And The Country Of Nepal Buddha was born in a mountain kingdom, north of India, the country of Nepal. His Birth name is Siddhartha Gautama; Siddhartha is a compound of Sanskrit words, sidd and artha. Sidd meaning Perfection and Artha meaning to have a goal, so the overall meaning of Siddhartha is the one whose goal is perfection. He was born in a second highest caste in a Hindu family. In Buddhism, Siddhartha is not considered to be a god; he is just a person and only is considered to have certain abilities, as an extraordinary human. He was kept inside the kingdom until the age of 29, and at that time Siddhartha became very unsatisfied with his life despite having family and wealth. Finally he figured out the problems that are happening in the world, and questions himself why these things like illness, death, poverty are happening. He decided to leave the palace in the middle of the night. When everyone was sleeping he went to his wife, gave her a goodbye kiss and left the palace seeking the liberation from the cycle of rebirth. Him leaving wealth, family and home is known as going for the Great Renunciation. For the next 6 years he wandered around India studying with the greatest Hindu gurus, and mastered the Hindu practices that normally leads to Renunciation. He is still dissatisfied with his life; he didn t find what he was primarily looking for. He thought he is not putting enough efforts and stopped eating. That didn t help him get what he wanted. He then sat on the bank of the river, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The United States And Communist Russia The United States and Communist Russia endured a complicated relationship in the first half of the 20th century. In the early 1940 s the U.S. had encouraged an alliance with the Soviets against their common enemy, Nazi Germany. This short lived accord began to deteriorate as WW II ended. By 1947 U.S. policy toward the Soviet Union had shifted from one of cooperation to a policy of containment. In 1949, when the Soviets tested their first atomic bomb, it was a widely held belief in the U.S. that the Russians were an untrustworthy enemy with plans to invade the United States. America s mood turned on American Communists, labeling them traitors and Russian spies. Underlying a domestic sense of well being in the United States in the 1950 s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... HUAC was created by the federal government in 1938 to investigate the subversive activities of citizens belonging to Communist organizations. The Committee had powers to subpoena and hold witnesses in contempt of congress, punishable by imprisonment. Following WW II, as anti communist sentiment rose in the U.S., the Committee enjoyed strong popular support. Being a Communist was not a crime so most of the people convicted served sentences for perjury or contempt of Congress. Another tool used to punish citizens suspected of communist affiliations was a practice called the Blacklist. Having one s name on the Hollywood Blacklist guaranteed that person would be unable to find work in the motion picture industry. Hollywood screenwriter Michael Wilson was called before the HUAC in 1951. When he refused to testify, his name was added to the Hollywood Blacklist. Writing under a pseudonym, Wilson continued to write but after 1951 never received credit, during his lifetime , for his screenplays including two Oscar Winning movies, Bridge on the River Kwai and Friendly Persuasion. Discuss the way this statement reflects one or more texts you have seen or read this year. Adaptation is the ability to adjust for existence under environmental conditions. Like how animals adapt in the wild, humans are also capable to be tolerant in difficult situations. We do not know our limit of cruelty or kindness. Although most people choose to be kind and sympathetic to others, there are also people who are cruel and cold hearted. • 5. The Athenian Golden Age As all the states, the city state of Athens grew, flourished, entered its golden age and then fall. There were three main circumstances, which led to the end of the Greek culture in common and the Athenian Golden Age particularly. They are represented in the chronic warfare, the spread of Greek culture outside of Greece, and the farmers are drawn to the cities. The arrogance of Athens and its way in treating its allies in the Delian Leaguecould be reasons for the end of the Athenian Golden Age. (Butler, 2007). I will choose the chronic warfare to discuss since I believe that wars are the major reason, which led to the collapse of many if not all, nations and states through the history. • 6. Richard Wagner Characteristics We are still waiting for the man who can compose and write a genuine opera. (Furness 14). That man was Wilhelm Richard Wagner he was known for his operas and other compositions which influenced many other composers. Wagner wrote many amazing operas, compositions, and poetic lyrics. Some think he wasn t so important, but some even think he was one of the best holding him up to Beethoven for his compositions (Furness 7). Wagner s best composition from his career is a composition called Der Rings Des Nibelungen, which is a composition that is eighteen hours long and four operas which had reoccurring themes connecting them all together. Firstly, Richard Wagner was born on May 22 ,1813 in Leipzig, Germany. Wagner had eight siblings, five sisters and three brothers. He never had much talent in music when he was attending a school in Dresden, Germany. He played the piano a horrible way and his teacher told him he wouldn t be much because he couldn t manage to play properly (Newman 46). He had trouble understanding the terms of the music as a child he knew what they use where he just didn t know how they were announced. He also struggled in his life when it came to see who his father was even some would say Richard s facial features resembled his father Carl Friedrich Wagner who passed away just months after he was born, but an actor named Ludwig Geyer who married Wagner s mother was on the list of whether he was the father or not. • 8. A Brief Note On Summative Assessment Of Unions Summative Assessment of Unions Thesis statement For workers to create a viable union that will represent their wishes in the best way possible, it s best they organize and lead the campaign themselves. Introduction It is a common belief that the best organizers are the workers in a given organization. It is emphasized that at every stage of organizing process, there should be active participation of the workers who are seeking representation (Bronfenbrenner, 2013). It is very essential to getting the contract that they deserve other than just winning an election. As the person organizing, you have to talk to your co workers. It is recommended that the number of the employees in a committee should be around 10. How do you build majority support? After forming a committee, you need to build support for the union by talking to other employees. This begins the public phase of your campaign. The best way to build support is by getting the workers to sign a public petition that supports the unions key issue and goals. Most employers will, on the other hand, launch their camping against the union at this point. How do you choose to go union? It largely depends on where you and your co workers work. If it s private organization, workers, make a choice through elections that are overseen by the National Labor Relations Board. In a public sector, you can make a union either through majority sign up or a tradition union election. What about the employer s campaign? Employers will use different techniques as a way of preventing the union. Some techniques used are creating conflict between the workers so as to divide the union support and to create an atmosphere of fear. The union I would choose to help us organize and why There are so many unions that can help use, but the one that I will go for is the CWA. Brandy Breaking My Trust The personal story which I told last week meant a lot for me because it is a story I have been wrestling with because it was something I have been dealing with majority of my first year here at UNC. The story of Brandy breaking my trust and our friendship caused me to re evaluate most of my friendships and caused me to be angry with myself and those around me for some time. In the last few weeks I grasp the idea in which I couldn t blame my previous friends because of a betrayal of our friendship, but this betrayal did reshape any relationship I will create throughout my life. • 10. The Effectiveness of the Criminal Justice System in... The reservation of the Convention on the Rights of a Child (CROC) had played invaluable role in charging the way in which young offenders are dealt with within the Australia Criminal Process. Including the introduction of the theory known as Doli Incapax meaning the age of criminal reasonability, the Young Offender Act 1997 NSW as well new law regarding the rights of a child once they have been arrested. It is evident that these while some of charges are still ineffective in dealing with Young Offenders within the Criminal JusticeSystem the majority of them are in place for the greater good and are assisting young offenders when it relates to the Criminal Justice System. Doli Incapax is just one of the ways in which children are now treated more equally under the law. According to the theory it is presumption that children are incapable of having criminal intent which in terms means that children under the age of 10 are unable to be charge with any criminal offence and when relating to children 10 to 13 the prosecution make be able to show that the child at the time of the alleged offence actually know what they were doing was seriously wrong. • 11. Animal Poaching In Zimbabwe Poaching in Zimbabwe has been a major issue in Zimbabwe since the mid 1800 s. Many of Zimbabwe s wild animals have suffered a massive decline in population due to poaching. The best way to stop the decline of wild animals in Zimbabwe is drones. Using drones will give rangers an upper hand against animal poachers by monitoring and tracking different animals and poaching zones. For the past 2 decades, Endangered animals are being killed for simple body parts tusks, bones, or pelts illegally for money. Many poaching laws have been established in Zimbabwe but none of these laws have been effective. Poaching Вhas been illegal for hundreds of years, but it was during the Late Middle Ages that poaching became a punishable offense. During this time, the right to hunt was limited to landowners and nobility. Peasants usually did not have weapons, skills or the extra time to hunt, so in order to provide food for their families they devised another way to bring meat to their tables ( How Poaching works ). Since the middle ages people have always been buying and selling animals but as life got tougher for the poor they had to resort to killing and selling body parts of animals to gain money. In the mid 1800 s hunting was only for the wealthy and privileged but as poverty increased poaching levels did too. While hunting was reserved for the privileged, it was illegal to buy and sell wild animals. It remained illegal to do so until the mid 1800s. Gangs of poachers formed outlaw ... Introduction A safe space for a client could be described as a place or space in which a client feels secure and free to express him/herself in a real, true and open way. This could mean a number of things to different clients, it is very individual. What makes a person feel safe? The list could include some or all of the following; Not feeling judged or criticised by the counsellor or that the counsellor is likely to not accept you if you share something bad Feeling that the counsellor accurately understands you, what you are saying or trying to say and what you are feeling or experiencing Feeling that the counsellor is true and genuine in the relationship, his/her real self Knowing that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many people will go to therapy because they have had previous bad or traumatic relationships which have left them damaged or traumatised in some way, quite often these relationships were with their parents when they were children. They have learned the danger and not to trust the very people they believed should most be trusted. I believe it can be even more fundamental and damaging than this still, they have also learned not to trust in themselves to have the ability to know who is safe to trust or not. The relationship with the therapist then can become something like a re parenting or a re learning of how a trusting relationship should/could have been with one s parents. Most people will agree that parents should (in a perfect world) give their children unconditional positive regard, empathy and be relatively non judgemental with them, also show them respect and allow them to keep their dignity. Unfortunately this is not always the case. It is therefore even more important that the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client show all these things to the highest of degrees. However, if this aspect of trust and safety is not present it can actually do more harm than good to clients that are already vulnerable and anxious. It can, in fact be retraumatising and compound their possible views of themselves as being unlovable or unworthy etc, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While we think we have moved on from those times, there are still issues in our modern day society that mirror those in Lee s novel. The killing of Larry King is an instance that is similar to the death of Tom Robinson in the book. Larry King was a 15 year old student at Oxnard Middle School in California before he died on Valentine s Day in 2008. He was shot by his 14 year old classmate, Brandon McInerney two days before and was put on life support. According to their friends, Brandon and Larry were drastically different. Brandon and a typical eighth grade boy, a jock. He was tall, athletic and popular. Larry was small, immature, and was on third grade reading level. But this bloodshed was not caused by their personality differences, but something they couldn t change. Larry King was homosexual, while Brandon McInerney was heterosexual. The school allowed Larry to wear heels and makeup to school, deciding to let him express himself. My visit to Bangladesh was filled with celebrations, feasts, adventures, and treacherous journeys! Many of these memories have been forgotten for several years. Faces and locations lost in my head. Yet, it was on one of these perilous journeys that I had discovered a treasure so grand, that it has been embedded in my thoughts ever since. A treasure so grand that it couldn t be found anywhere else. A treasure so valuable that it could never be taken elsewhere to be cherished forever. My breath was frozen in the air as a dead silence surrounded me. A light fog covered the muddy trail since I began my hike. The drizzling rain only added to the gloomy and haggard feeling. My boots were pressed against the ground, slowly sinking into the damp earth. The faint knocking of bamboo could be heard growing louder. Someone or something was approaching me. Being the curious and careless child I was, I left the trail to approach the patch of bamboo. The rugged terrain of the trail pulled at my sore feet, and the wind whistled and whispered in my ears, as it was warning me not to leave. But, I continued to trudge forward into the unknown. The bamboo was bendy enough for my weak arms to push as I approached the knocking noise. Slowly I took cautious steps to avoid the broken and fallen pieces of bamboo scattered across the ground. As I was about to take my next step, a person s foot came slamming down into the ground! I stumbled backward, crashing onto the ground! Suddenly, a figure broke through the cluster of bamboo. As I looked up, out stepped a figure familiar to me. It was my father! His confusion expression became that of relief as he helped up from the ground. He told me to follow him back to the trail he was on. My dad and I cut through the stalks of bamboo once again until we reached a trail similar to previous. We continued to follow the trail was a maze of lush greenery and foliage. The trail twisted and curved. It was unknown to me, yet so familiar to my dad, I thought as I continued hiking in amazement. Beetroot Essay The reason why we got these results can be explained, when alcohol interacts with the cell membrane is affects the normal formation of the lipid chains that form in a bilayer, it is believed that alcohol binds underneath the charged head of the lipid and displaces water that is originally there [1] this breaks up the membrane allowing more of the red pigment to diffuse out of the beetroot. [2] The ethanol forms temporary bonds with the phospholipid heads in the bilayer as they are opposite dipoles causing the phospholipids to move out of place causing gaps to form which allows large molecules such as betalain to diffuse out of the cell. As well proteins, like enzymes, can become denatured by the ethanol due to the same affect as with the phospholipids this can disrupt the hydrogen bonds, which maintain secondary structure. You have to make it fall Evaluate the accuracy of this statement in relation to the causes of the Chinese cultural revolution A revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall. This statement by Che Guevara suggests that in order for a revolution to occur, the leaders must not hesitate, but rather, they should take immediate and effective actions. This quote is particularly accurate for the Chinese Cultural Revolution, because the main leader of the Revolution Mao Zedong was able to manipulate the public, thus enabling him to bring about a revolution. The Cultural Revolution occurred as a result of the failures in the Great Leap Forward, and officially, Mao claimed that the goal of the Chinese Cultural Revolution is to build a society surrounding the proletariats by bringing back revolutionary spirit. However, it became increasingly clear that Mao s real intentions were rather personal, as he used the Cultural Revolution to re establish his power as the Chairman of the Communist Party of China. The Cultural Revolution was Mao s response to the disasters of the Great Leap Forward, during which at least 30 million Chinese people starved to death in the span of 5 years (Ben Walsh). In addition, I noticed that in the front part of the classroom where the door entry and fire extinguisher are located there was a fire and emergency plan that includes emergency information and a plan to get the infants to safety. The classroom also had emergency numbers posted by the phone area and I was told that all emergency cards were stored in a file card holder that is easy to access. Furthermore, throughout my observation I noticed that children could take risk opportunities like running around, climbing, and playing in tent areas without injury and with constant supervision. Why Fluoride Is Dangerous And Harmful Rationale: Most people would like to control what they consume, and even though this is becoming harder with unmarked labeling and chemical additives, governments and councils all over the globe are adding chemicals such as fluoride into city water supplies. The public is told that it is just to conserve their health but we have created the illusion for ourselves that fluoride is added for other reasons, I.E. population control and to lower our IQ. So why are governments doing this? I thought that it would be interesting to find out why fluoride is added to our water and if it is really necessary. Intro: Most people know fluoride as a chemical added to water and toothpaste to improve dental health. Some people believe that fluoride is vital to the growth and maintenance of out teeth but others say fluoride is dangerous and harmful even when diluted. So what are the reasons behind adding this supposed poison to our water supply and do we really need it? Well I believe we need fluoride, and this document should help to explain why. What Is Fluoride: Fluorine is an element in the many fluoride compounds that are commonly added to water supplies and dental products to rebuild and reinforce the enamel on our teeth. There are over 10 different fluoride compounds. This is because fluorine has the capability of forming compounds with nearly all the elements. When fluorine is combined with something else, for example sodium, it becomes a fluoride compound (Sodium Fluoride). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Stories like that have had a big impact on society. Two stories that are an example of that are Black Men and Public Space by Brent Staples and The F Word by Firoozeh Dumas. The stories, Black Men and Public Space and The F Word are similar because both characters were discriminated against themselves, were not the only ones harassed, and each went through a tough moment. One of the ways the two essays are similar is because both characters were discriminated against themselves. For example, In Black men and Public Space Staples was discriminated against for his skin color. He lived in a part of Chicago where it was mostly white American people. Sometimes people would not look his way and ignored him because they thought he was up to no good. The reason for that was because white peopledid not want to associate with a black man. Staples was also discriminated because of the way he walked at night. In the essay, an example of that was when Staples explained that he was walking behind a woman. The woman turned around and saw him. The woman thought he was a mugger because Staples was black. INTRODUCTION Information on cardiovascular differences between the sexes is necessary for allied health professionals to best adapt rehabilitation exercises for the patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The cardiovascular system has to adjust in response to metabolic demands of working muscles during exercise. Gender related differences on how the body meets the increased demands while still maintaining homeostatic arterial blood pressure has been widely researched (CITE). There is some support that vaso regulation differences are due to female sex hormones (estrogen, in particular estradiol), and less sympathetic nervous system influence when compared to males (CITE). Additionally, body composition (higher muscle mass in males) and substrate utilisation (more lipid substrate utilisation in females) have been found to have significant effects on the cardiovascular system responses during submaximal exercise (CITE). Upper body exercise has been found to create more stress on the cardiovascular system compared to lower body exercise (CITE). The primary causes of death in the Australian population are directly or indirectly related to cardiovascular diseases (CVD) (CITE). Warming up before an intense exercise helps to gradually increase the heart rate and prevent abnormal heart rhythms. Warming up also helps with preventing straining on the heart muscleand heart attacks from abnormal heart rhythms. The warm up period should last about five to ten minutes. During this time the body is preparing for the exercise activities. Warm up exercises prepare the body for exercising by increasing the blood flow to the muscles allowing them to loosen up, which can raise the flow of oxygen to the muscle cells. Doing this gradually increases the body s temperature. This then increases the speed and force of muscular contractions, because nerve impulses travel faster at higher body temperatures, and muscles become less stiff or more pliable. They also help to gradually increase the heart rate and ensure that the demand made on the circulatory and metabolic systems is gradual as well. In a safe and gradual way they allow blood to be diverted away from other parts of the body such as the digestive system to the muscles being exercised. This initial part of your exercise session helps to improve neural function and co ordination, protect major joints as it takes time to increase the supply of lubricating synovial fluid and to thicken the articular cartilages the body s shock absorbers. Abolish The Death Penalty Should Not Be Abolished Wiggins Amanda Professor Laudani Composition 1 09 July 2015 Abolish the Death Penalty Since the state has no power to give life, it should not exercise its power to take a life either. After all, the judicial system is not a fool proof system. The risk of putting an innocent human being to death by capital punishment, cannot be ruled out. The only purpose it serves is retribution or revenge. Therefore, the death penalty must be abolished. The death penalty is prone to errors that may have led to the execution of wrongfully convicted people. There have been 330 post conviction DNA exonerations here in the U.S (Innocence Project). The Supreme Court should bring the United States in line with the rest of the world and hold that death is a cruel and unusual punishment prohibited by the Eighth Amendment. The death penalty process consumes tremendous amounts of money and resources and fails to deter murders. The average cost to put someone to death is 1.1 million dollars that Americans are paying for (Huddar, Buzzle). That money can be used for a lot more things, such as, helping homeless veterans, who served our country, or children who live in poverty right here in America. It is used in an often arbitrary and racist manner. In a study commissioned by the governor of Maryland, defendants who kill white victims were more likely to be sentenced to death than those who killed a black (McElwee, Huffington Post) Not only does the death penalty ... The pyramid of success was made famous in large part due to UCLA coach John Wooden and consists of building blocks that lead to greatness or success (Fifer, 2006). Dr. Steinberg stated that the pyramid of success or greatness has been used successfully by numerous head coaches in various athletic fields and has also been adapted to use in the business field (G. Dr. Steinberg spoke about the importance of the corporate culture and individual supervisory leadership style needing to mesh well. He also discussed the important of hiring the correct candidate based on personality fit so that resources are not wasted with low efficiency and high employee turnover. The employee s ability to form good working relationships with coworkers in the specific workgroup is extremely important, and strong coworker relationships can at times mediate conflicts that arise between corporate and personal values (Menguc, Auh, Katsikeas, Yeon Sung, 2016). Turnover rate is particularly important in the nursing profession in which I am currently employed. The turnover cost for a nurse in the U.S. is estimated to be at least $20,000, with many areas reporting even higher costs (Duffield, Roche, Homer, Buchan, Dimitrelis, 2014). The Importance Of Operant Conditioning Operant Conditioning Within the early 19th Century, Edward Throne like conducted experiments on dogs and cats to determine the way these animals behave under certain conditions. These studies were conducted through replicating and standardizing the circumstances that the animals were in through a controlled environment. As such, this model demonstrated that animals had the nature to learn when they were presented with certain consequences. In 1938, Burrhus Friederich (B. F.) developed the core idea of the Operant ConditioningSkinner, which claims that operant conditioning, was brought about by the response from the operant under threat (Sakagami, Lattal, 2016). Some factors were involved in the increase of the operant conditioning especially when Edward Thorndike was examining the behavior of cats and rats. It was necessary to consider the problem solving abilities of these animals within puzzle boxes that would otherwise lead the animals in a state of constraint. Moreover, there was a need to understand the relationship exhibited between the appropriate reaction to the individual situation and the associated strengths to the same. Moreover, other factors such as the ability of the animals to learn under the conditions presented as was later proven by Skinner. Insulin is a hormone which is released from the pancreas, working by moving sugar from the blood into other body tissues enabling the liver to stop producing excessive glucose. There are two main types of diabetes, type1 and type 2. Once known as childhood diabetes or insulin dependent diabetes, type 1 is much rarer than type 2 diabetes which occurs when the body becomes resistant to the effects of insulin (Mayo Clinic, 2016; MedlinePlus, 2016). In terms of mannerism, elongation was thought to create a more elegant and graceful look, which may be one of the main reasons why Mannerist art contained a lot of unnatural looking human figures. In the painting, I see a lot of elongation being used in different areas as well as oddly proportioned bodies. Madonna herself has a very extended neck, which holds up her smaller sized head making her look unusual and abnormal. Below her neck, I see her unnaturally slanted shoulders and her elongated fingers resting on her chest. Her legs also appear to be very long as they look much bigger than her narrow upper body. This makes for Madonna being a very colossal and dominant figure. Furthermore, when comparing Madonna to the women who stand beside her, Madonna is huge. In Madonna s lap is her baby Christ who also has unnaturally long features. The body of baby Christ is so long especially his legs. It looks like a much older boy. American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center s North Tower at precisely 8:46 AM (Ritter). The entire city was instantly thrown into a frenzy of panic and disarray. No one knew what exactly had happened and citizens were looking for answers. Many tuned into NBC as they began coverage of the events at 9:52 AM (Wing). The network started off by interviewing a shocked Jennifer Overstein over the phone. Apparently, Jennifer had witnessed the first explosion as it happened. She didn t know what had caused the explosion, but she was frantically explaining what happened. She gave descriptions of emergency vehicles, fearful citizens, and heavy smoke ... • 53. How Did Josef Mengele Use Medical Experiments During The... Dr. Josef Mengele was a doctor in the Auschwitz concentration camp. He conducted many medical experiments during the Holocaust. One of his experiments consisted on taking baby twins and sew them together to make Siamese twins, he would see if they could still live while doing these experiments. Another thing he did to twins was that he would inject different types of drugs into them and see what would the drug do to them and also see if they could last through all of the injections. If he messed up one on of the twins he would always have another one to test on. Freezing people was also another experiment that he conducted to people and especially men. He would stick the men into a freezer which was at zero degrees. If they didn t put them... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A camp prisoner s day began with an early morning wake up call, followed by a wash in dirty water(Steele 52). They then had to quickly go outside and stand perfectly still while the Nazis called out their numbers. It would take the Nazis several hours to call out everyone s numbers. Sometimes they would do it a second time because when they were standing still for hours they could pass out or even die from standing that long and those standing next to them couldn t do anything about it until after roll call. After roll call the Jews would go straight to work without anything to eat until lunch. At lunch time they would all line up with their bowls and wait to get watery soup. Those who were at the back of the line get nothing but water. When they were finished with their lunch they had to go back to work. They would work for the rest of the day until dinner time. At dinner, the prisoners were lucky to even get a small piece of burned bread and after dinner the Jews would go to bed. By the time that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 54. The Emotional And Criticism Of Romanticism By William... Introduction Amongst the dogmatic religious past, which when confronted by the enlightened present became more rigid in its practice and conformity, and enduringly factual and empirical science lived a man called William Wordsworth, so sentimental and philosophic that even greater minds couldn t solve completely the cipher that his word created, or rather couldn t completely understand the legacy that he left for the modern era. Even when heard or looked upon different meaning and various analogies appear into the mind of people to which it soothes. And this allegory of expression was there in his poem, with coloring with shades of Indian philosophies and taste of scented breeze collecting and distributing the knowledge of life and death.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wordsworth, like other Romantic Poets, with his overwhelming mind observed life with greater suction and fundamentality; his partaking in the working of life was keen and so minute that when he did finally caught up with the philosophy of life his poems became more and more sublime and transcendental in feelings. In his Preface to the Lyrical Ballads republished in 1800 described a Poet and his working which in a way popularized self expression connecting an object of little importance to the infinite vision of the Creator. His grew as a poet gradually with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 55. Redesign and Rebuilding of the Repulsine Engine Page |1 CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION Since the beginning of the industrial age, the scientific enquiry has largely been limited to a materialistic understanding of natural and technological processes. At one stage, science comprised the spiritual sciences of Alchemy and Metaphysics. With the taking of the industrial path, the spiritual enquiry was neglected by the mainstream scientific establishment. Technology has become increasingly complex without questioning its basic foundations and long term effects, and has moved further and further away from the simple basic workings of nature. Environmental, pollution, exploitation and dereliction have intensified with the increase in sophistication of technology. 1.1 EXPLOSION Today s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From Implosion Magazine, No. 36, written in Vienna, 1944. The Repulsine is a germinal matter generator with which humanity can once more be returned to Paradise and hence all wearers of mitre boards, gowns, cassocks and cowls will have been expelled by fire and sword. Fig 1.3 Schematic Diagram of Repulsine Engine 1.4 WORKING OF REPULSINE ENGINE The working of Repulsine engine can be explained by the combination of the Water Jet Pump and De Laval Nozzle techniques in Molecular Level. 1.4.1 WATER JET PUMP In the fig 1.4.1, the mainstream Flow A exists within a pipe. Aside of the pipe a side stream B exists, where additional air flows into pipe. At first, molecules of influx B just ВґstandВґ locally and represent no stronger resistance than main stream is affected by friction on inner faces of pipe. Particles of that ВґrestingВґ air at B are trembling, based at normal molecular movements, thus are flying into all directions from one collision to next. Just by pure chance, any particle will be pushed into direction of main stream. That particle moves ahead within main stream, and will not come back to influx area. Page |5 At its original location, that particle no longer is available as collision partner, so is leaving some empty area there, into which following particles will fall. As many particles behave likely, flow C comes up within side influx. That pipe downside at D ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
