Wineburg, Ohio Essay
Wineburg, Ohio
Winesburg, Ohio, also known as the Book of Grotesque is a modern American classic by Sherwood
Anderson. He came to be known as the Father of Realism , as he left his mark on literature, being the
first one to portray authentic moments in American life. He tells the stories of many faces he saw in
his dreams, describing their deeply moving lives filled with secrets. The twenty one stories in the
novel are united through the setting, Winesburg, and the main character, George Willard. The novel is
character driven, and the stories have very weak plots. Winesburg is a small town, full of lonely
characters whom Anderson calls grotesques because of their inability to express themselves and
communicate with others. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the long years of his residence, he never considers himself as a part of the community. The
only person with whom he develops a kind of friendship was George Willard. During a conversation
with him, Biddlebaum leaves saying, I can t talk no more with you, (15) because the anguish from the
tragic memory overtook him. However, he still hungered for the presence of the boy, who was the
medium through which he expressed his love of man (15). He runs away from George, but he still
wishes his company; this manifestation makes him lonelier and more isolated.
Wing Biddlebaum is gifted with a quality that cannot be seen in most of (us) the people. During the
flash back, when the story goes back to the past and looks at the days when he used to be a teacher at
Pennsylvania, Biddlbaum was one of those rare, little understood men who rule by a power so gentle
that it passes as a lovable weakness (14). These fragment reveals that he was one of the few people
who can not only perceive other people s feelings, but can also teach them how to dream. Biddlbaum s
voice and hands, the stroking of the shoulders and the touching of the hair were a part of the [his]
effort to carry a dream into the young minds. He understood his students doubts and disbelief.
Knowing that the only way to start dreaming is by forgetting all negative thoughts, he was able to get

The History And Transitions Of Music
The history and transitions of music has had many talented persons that have influenced music but
none are so well known as Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van
Beethoven. All three of these great composers performed during the Classic period and it would act as
the base of classic music for the next one hundred and fifty, to two hundred years. The names of
Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are so well known that people who have little to no knowledge of
music will recognize their names. The urban communities of Austria and Germany would find the
settings from 1750 1820 that would become known as the classical period. The Classic period had
many developments such as the sonata, symphony and string quartet along with a growth of opera
houses and concert halls were abundant during the classical period. The Golden Age will later refer to
this time of classical music. The works of Franz Joseph Hayden, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and
Ludwig van Beethoven will be everlasting in the world of classical music. There are many opinions of
the three big composers that do not include Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, furthermore everyone is
entitled to their own opinion.
Franz Joseph Haydn was born in Austria March 31st 1732 and died May 31st 1809 at age seventy
seven. Haydn s parents who neither one could read music but his father had been a folk musician had
noticed his son had a musical talent. They arranged for him to start apprenticing to Johann Mathis

Argumentative Essay On Identical Twins
Twins have a special claim upon our attention; it is, that their history affords means of distinguishing
between the effects of tendencies received at birth, and those that were imposed by the special
circumstances of their after lives. says Sir Francis Galton, 19th century behavioral genetics pioneer.
Researchers have used twin studies to try to figure out the genetic backgrounds of an abundance of
traits, from determination to intelligence to bizarre to alcohol dependence.
The study of twins relies on studying teens raised in the same family environments. Identical twins
(Monozygotic) share all of their genes, while fraternal (dizygotic) only share 50% of their genes.
Researchers use this method to estimate the heritability of traits.

In 1918 the Representation of the people Act 1918 was passed permitting the vote to women over the

granting women the right to vote in all state. [ii] Second wave feminism is a feminist movement
beginning in the early 1960s and continuing to the 20th and it coexists with third wave feminism.
Second wave feminism is largely concerned with issues of equality not only suffrage, but things like

main purposes that to be deal with. During this period, feminist encourage women to understand

Use Of Mask As A Believable And Consistent Character For...
With reference to your own process, discuss and analyse how the use of mask affected your approach
to creating character. Compare how it differs from working without mask, assessing benefits and any
perceived drawbacks. Discuss its potential effect, if any, on your work in non mask theatre.
In this essay I will argue that the use of mask is vital in creating a believable and consistent character
for performance. The techniques used in masks not only help to define a character but also help an
actor improve their improvisation techniques.
Jacques Lecoq wanted to explore the hidden gestures, emotions and underlying states of a character,
which we express through mimages [109: 2002, Bloomsbury] I incorporated both the mimages and his

Draco would then scoff before dropping it elsewhere.
When making my mask, I wanted to create one that oozed authority with a hint of smarminess. I was
ultimately surprised by the outcome, my end product was a trickster. The raised eyebrow however led
to a smirk which ultimately led to the name Draco; a genus of reptiles, very apt for my character.
However, the eviller Draco became the more drastic a counter mask had to be. As our piece was
dedicated to stealing a picture of Zefron Zac Efron , when ripped, Draco had to flip suddenly.
I drew upon the counter mask exercises we had developed in rehearsals. Changing everything that
made Draco who he was. His ever present sneer faded into a frown and a wail.
To achieve Draco s mannerism and voice I charged my mask. Copying the arched eyebrow on the
mask I found a nasally voice with an added scoff at the end. I then began to work on my inner
dramatic monologue.
I wanted to keep in mind that Draco thought himself above everyone else hence a simple inner
monologue; I am surrounded by idiots...peasants, they should be quivering in my mere presence.
Getting the temperament of Draco however was difficult. Despite embodying the arlecchino mask I
wanted Draco to keep an air of authority, the temperament I chose for Draco was Choleric This way
follow me, follow me this way now! .
All the exercises and techniques I used to develop Draco greatly helped me in perfecting his character,
from Lecoq s 7 states to chekov s centres.

Separating Mixtures And Its Effect On The Body
Separating a mixture can be either very simple, or greatly complex. For example, a heterogeneous
mixture, such as a bowl of different types of candy, can be easily sorted by the color, size, or shape of
the individual candy. But homogenous mixtures, such as air, steel, or sugar water, takes sometimes
complicated procedures to break the mixture or solution down into its original form. Separating
mixtures can be done by using the differences in their properties, such as the color, size, shape, boiling
point, or density of a specific element (Brown et al., 2014, p. 13). There are many types of methods to
separating mixtures, which includes sublimation, crystallization, and simple or fractional distillation.
Sublimation is the process that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
465). The process of sublimation is sometimes used by chemists to purify compounds by placing any
solid into a vessel and then heating it ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). The heated vessel is then
placed under a vacuum, a place that is empty of all matter, which evaporates the solid into a vapor and
then condenses it as a purified compound. This process is useful when trying to purify a substance
because it leaves the impurities of said substance behind ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). Another
type of sublimation is called dye sublimation which is used in color printing on different types of
materials like paper, t shirts, hats, mugs, metals, puzzles and other different types of surfaces. The
process consists of heating a solid die material, which then solidifies onto the given surface. Even with
a low printer resolution, dye sublimation allows extreme control of the color ratios that results in a
good quality picture ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). Another process that separates mixtures is
crystallization. Crystallization is the construction of solid crystals from a homogeneous solution.
(Haslego, 2010). For any solution to start the crystallization process, it must first be supersaturated.
Supersaturation is a state of any solution that contains more solute that is needed to create a saturated
solution under normal conditions. (Brown et al., 2014, p. 537). For

The Role Of Culture And Its Influence On Culture
Topic 3 Role of Culture
Culture can be defined as customs, attitudes and beliefs that is shared throughout a group of members
that is part of society. These attitudes, customs and beliefs are passed down from generation to
generation (Ali Abadi 2015). However, as time progress some cultures may change slightly, but still
keep the most distinctive aspects that are unique to a particular culture.
Culture is important because, it defines our values and beliefs, and that is, essentially, what guides the
decisions we make (Kumar 2012). Culture plays a big role in how we behave in specific situations and
how we perceive the world around us. Culture determines how its members interact with each other.
According to Griffin and Pustay (2007) the global environment is impacted by the elements of culture.
These elements includes social structure, religion, communication methods, language, norms and
attitudes. Cultures can also be collectivist, which is when the needs and goals of the culture as a whole
is placed above the needs and goals of an individual, or individualist, which is when individual needs
take priority over collective needs of a group (Cherry 2015).
For this reason it can be said that one s culture influences one s drive to work, what one would expect
the work place to be like and how the workplace operates on a daily basis as well how to treat co
workers or what treatment to expect from co workers (Ali Abadi 2015). For example, there are some
cultural differences

The United States Presidential Elections
The United States presidential elections are this year, 2016, in November. As a student, a citizen, or an
aspiring politician, it is a good idea to know a little something about the presidential candidates. At
this point in the race there are only five people left that are running, Donald trump (R), Bernie Sanders
(S), Ted Cruz (R), Hillary Clinton (D), and John Kasich(R). One might want to know the issues of
each candidate, which party they are affiliating with, how they plan to go about fixing these issues that
we have, and the ultimate question will they be best suited for presidency. I narrowed which
candidates I want to research more on, down to Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. Donald Trump, the
very well known business man, the republican. The candidate that Speaks his mind and tells the truth
no matter whose feelings get hurt. The man no one thought would be this far along in the race. Donald
Trump is no politician, he is merely a business man that one day decided he could Make America
Great Again. He has made clear all of his opinions on various different issues. He has been known
through this race as the person who tells it like it is, but also one that contradicts most of his proposals.

immigration, health care, trade reform, veterans administration reform, tax reform, and second

Maya Angelou Eulogy For Coretta Scott King Rhetorical...
Born of Flesh and Destined to Become Iron: Analyzing Rhetorical Moves in Maya Angelou s Eulogy
for Coretta Scott King When Coretta Scott King, civil rights activist and wife of Dr. Martin Luther
King Jr., died in 2006, her friend, author and activist Maya Angelou, eulogized her. In her eulogy,
Angelou employs anaphora, personal anecdotes, and connotative diction in order to strengthen her
pathos and memorialize and celebrate Mrs. King s long and illustrious life. Throughout the eulogy,
Angelou utilizes anaphora to emphasize Mrs. King s beliefs and commitments to various important
humanitarian causes. The audience, in turn, feels a more profound grief for her death as result. For
instance, in the second paragraph, Angelou writes, She believed religiously in non violent protest. She
believed it could heal a nation mired in a history of slavery and all its excesses. She believed non
violent protest religiously could lift up a nation rife with racial prejudices and racial bias (Angelou).
Repeating of the phrase, She believed gives the passage a rhythmic feel that suggests the
reader/listener to reflect on the importance of Mrs. King s views and fully comprehend them as
important and those of a caring and understanding Christian woman. She additionally expands on this
while on the topic of what Mrs. King cared about: She loved her church...loved and adored her
husband and her children...cherished her race...cherished women...cared for the conditions of human
beings, of native Americans and...Latinos and Asian Americans...cared for gay and straight people
Reiteration of verbs such as cared, loved, and cherished function to force the audience to listen to what
Mrs. King loved and causes she found significant and urgent. Listeners then begins to view Mrs. King
as a compassionate person; they feel mournful that the world has lost such a kindhearted woman.
Likewise, Angelou applies the idea of the worldwide loss of Mrs. King to her advantage as she tells
the audience, I stand here today for her family which is my family and for my family and all the
families in the world who would want to be here, but could not be here. The concept of Mrs. King
surrounded by adoring loved ones echoes through Angelou s

Major Differences Between A Command Economy And A Market...
1.1 Market Economies
There are many major differences between a command economy and a market economy. To start out
with, a command economy is planned, where the government decides the main economic decisions.
Next, a market economy is when individuals are free to make their own decisions as they buy and sell
products. So between both economies, the command economy is planned and the market economy is
free. In conclusion a command economy and a market economy, are two completely different things.
I believe that the Private Enterprise is the most important. To begin with, individuals have rights to
own their own business. However, the individuals might have their freedom but they also have to
follow the laws. It, also let s the business owners produce goods with limited government decisions or
directions. In conclusion, Private Enterprise let s individuals work, how they would like, while
maintaining the laws.
There are many reasons to why the market economy has been adopted in many countries that formerly
had a command economy. One reason is that the market economy has the freedom to pick what type
of business they would like to run. With a command economy the government chooses what type of
business they get. So, the market economy has more freedom to run their business the way they like,
while following the laws. In conclusion the countries that formerly had a command economy didn t
have as much freedom as the market economy does.
There are many changes I would find,

Stainless Steel Tips
Stainless steel is a type of metal made by combining a small amount of chromium with a larger
amount of iron. It has a smooth, shiny surface that looks polished and professional. And it also
conducts heat very well. So many restaurants use tableware made from it. The stainless steel tableware
sold by Seating Expert is sturdy and strong. It easily resists most types of damage that other more
fragile metals can t withstand. However, it still has to be cared for properly to keep it looking great. So

Rinse it Off
Use more hot water to rinse the stainless steel tableware. If you are washing a large stack of tableware,
don t reuse the rinse water. Run it straight from the tap instead. Otherwise, the dishes will keep getting
covered in soapy residue.
Drying and Polishing
Don t let the stainless steel tableware sit with water on it in a draining rack. It should always be dried
off immediately to prevent it from rusting. Use a clean, soft cloth for this. After all the tableware is
dried, it has to be polished. Since most polishes are toxic, it helps to use a food product like olive oil
for this. Simply dip another soft cloth in a bit of the oil, and rub it all over the metal. Only use enough
to make it sparkle. There shouldn t be a heavy coat of oil left behind on the dishes. A food grade polish

The Architecture Elements Of Roman And Roman Architecture
Italy was founded on 21April 753 BC by two brothers, Romulus and Remus. Rome has been a

Comparing Wide Sargasso Sea and Jane Eyre Essay
Authors, Jean Rhys and Charlotte Bronte constructed their novels in completely different time periods
and came from different influences in writing. Jean Rhys s fiction book, Wide Sargasso Sea is an
interesting relation to Jane Eyre. The female character of Jane Eyre forms into a furiously, passionate,
independent young woman. The female character of Jean Rhys s illustration is a character that Jane
will know further on as Rochester s crazy wife who is bolted in an attic. Jean Rhys further studies this
character, where as Charlotte Bronte approved that it was left explained (Thorpe 175). Antoinette,

These two novels are both feminist works, although each book leads to feminist problems somewhat
differently. Jane has a strong foundation in what woman deserve, as well as achieve specific goals for
how she portrays her spot in society being a woman; Antoinette has no knowledge where to start to
change herself. In Wide Sargasso Sea, Rhys poses the likelihood that maybe; the gap between women
and men can t be penetrated. Possibly, the unbalance is so great that Antoinette cannot have a feeling
of cheerfulness and pleasure that Jane discovers near the end of the novel. Wide Sargasso Sea portrays
the fluctuating position of woman in the twentieth century. Wide Sargasso Sea and Jane Eyre can
single handedly be looked at as signs of feminist texts, however, Wide Sargasso Sea presents itself
with more description on post modern shape of feminism.
An interesting insight into grasping the un similarities of how Antoinette and Jane portray their roles
as woman are by noticing their spiritual beliefs. Growing up, Jane would often show signs where she
would leave her insecurity in the faith and power of religion.

The Copper Sun Character Analysis
People talk about change as if it is a bad thing. Change can often be a good thing, especially when it
comes to people. In the book The Copper Sun Polly meets Amari and isn t exactly friendly with her.
But through the duration of the book, Polly starts to care for Amari and even admits they re friends.
This is a major transition from when we first meet her. Polly emotionally and psychologically evolved
from an emotionally closed, racist, aloof character to a friendly protagonist who starts to appreciate
and care for Amari, by not doubting her, befriending her, and her self realization of her friendship and
of the delicate idea of freedom.
By the end of the novel, Polly stopped doubting Amari s skill as a person, something she did before.
On page 193, Polly says She glanced at Amari, a girl who just a few months ago had seemed so dirty
and disgusting. Now they were caught up together in a situation... (Draper, 193). Also, on page 94,
Polly says Either I m a very good teacher, or you re not as stupid as you look (Draper, 94). For the first
quote, Polly is fully aware that she thought of Amari as Dirty and Disgusting , but she is able to look
past her previous thoughts and doubts about her work together with her in the situation . The second
quote is very early into the novel, but very strongly shows her change. Polly, in a sense, admits she
doubts Amari s intelligence. But Polly very quickly takes back the doubt, not without complimenting
herself. After Polly quits

Deforestation is clearing the land of trees in order to grow or the use of something. Many thing
contribute to deforestation and are ruining the home of thousands of animals. The first road to be built
is one that connects to the capital of Brazil called Brasilla to the port city of Belem, that is in the north,
runs 250 miles long and has caused deforestation in order to build this road. Transcontinental Roads
have been built in this area since urbanization is on the rise and people need transport in order to get
from one place to another and since the Amazon is a huge chunk of land that has to be crossed over,
railroads began to develop for the people to travel and for trade. A long railroad to connect from Brazil
s Atlantic Coast and a Pacific port in Peru has been proposed by Brazil, Peru, and China in order to
speed up transport of resources such a soy and phosphate rock (Amazonia, The Human Impact). This
railroad is 3,300 miles long and it is 10 billion dollars, this leads to a big deforestation that can kill
many species and can leave many people without homes. As of now, there are many roads created that
crisscross along the Brazilian Amazon and many are illegal, about 95%. Fires are another thing that
leads to deforestation. Fires are used in order to clear the land and burn trees

How Did Voltaire Criticize The Enlightenment
Voltaire once stated, God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well.
The three thinkers I picked to write about the Enlightenment was René Descartes, Baruch Spinoza,
and Voltaire. René Descartes was important to the Enlightenment because he used math and logic to
question religions and peoples belief in faith. Baruch Spinoza was important to the Enlightenment
because he questioned religion. Voltaire was important to the Enlightenment because he was the one
specialized in satire during the Enlightenment. The reason I chose Descartes, Spinoza, and Voltaire
because during the Enlightenment they had a big impact religiously during the Enlightenment.
Voltaire criticized religion because he felt that

Essay about Grunge
Grunge
In the isolated city of Seattle during the mid 1980 s a new sound and attitude was developing.
Although it didn t yet have a coined term it would later become know as Grunge, originally a tounge
in cheek term for the pungent guitar noise propagated by the cultish independent label Sub Pop (
Grunge ). This mix of 70 s metal and early 80 s punk blasted into mainstream America and brought
the hard rock sound of the 70 s back to life, but the sudden, unexpected and to some unwanted, fame
and popularity would prove to much for it and like so many pop culture movements before, it would
fade away under the pressure( History ). Grunge owes it s start in part to the area in which it was
created, Seattle was isolated, untouched by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Grunge wasn t a produced sound, the independent record labels that started to pop up where usually
friends of the band members or the band s themselves. No one signed contracts, a shake of a hand and
the band and label were now in business together. Unlike the large rock bands of the 70 s or the pop
bands of today Grunge bands didn t go seeking major record labels, they played to crowds of drunken
friends and locals. They would play in clubs and bars where the crowd would get drunk and thrash
about wildly. The Seattle phenomenon wouldn t have been possible without the network of college
radio, fanzines, and indie contributors that sprang up in the wake of punk rock ( Grunge City ). The
bands never expected to get big, most had a tight following of fans who were all that kept them going.
The local fans had a lot to do with the development of Grunge. Grunge fans were the first fans to
create fanzines. Fanzines were cheaply created magazines used to spread news about their favorite
band, where they would be playing next, what their message was or just about the band members
themselves. This small following of fans didn t put any pressure on a band, when they got up to
perform it was to have fun and see how wild they could get the crowd. This lack of pressure and
knowledge of how corporate America worked was a key factor in the quick downfall of Grunge. In
1991 Michael Jackson and Paula Abdul were at the top of the

Summary Of Mere Christianity By C. S. Lewis
C.S. Lewis in Mere Christianity, defends the religion from the critics that believe that it is a religion
that does not have foundation. He further goes to show the type of life that a Christian live. The book
is divided into four different sections. In each section, there are things that Lewis touches on. In the
beginning, he talks about natural law and how it needs to exist since humans did not invent, but they
respond to it. He states that God exists and that it is made of three parts: The Father, the son and the
Holy Spirit. Lewis goes on to describe what a Christian believes and how a Christian should behave.
He highlights that one of the steps in being a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ and try to be like him.
He goes on to also point out that non believers should not know how Christians have differences
within the faith because then there is where the notion that the religion is not well put or that its
foundations are not strong become faulty.
Book one deals with human nature law and the laws that apply to that. It talks about some of the
objections that there are and moral law. In the first chapter from this section, he goes on to state that
there is a universal right and wrong and that God is the only one that can instill that in us. He talks
about the law of nature and how that makes one behave in a certain manner that one would not
otherwise act like. Chapter two deals with moral law and how that is directed to the way that we are

How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Child Beauty Pageants
JonBenet Ramsey, Honey Boo Boo,: both famous child beauty pageant stars, both tragic outcomes.
More common in the South, child beauty pageants have become a national and commercial spectacle.

A war economy is reliant on three things man power, land and natural resources to function
effectively. Although there is no doubt of Germany s ground military forces capabilities the question
of the existing economy, infrastructure behind it and its effectiveness in driving this force forward is
what takes the focus of this essay. Social stability underpins these factors as a foundation to which
they can thrive and in this nature takes just as much importance if not more in a war economies

The Potential Rebound Of Hemp
The Potential Rebound of Hemp in Agriculture
Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is an ancient crop, and one of the oldest domesticated plants known to
man, traditionally valued for its tough bast fibres as well as its medicinal properties. Though it is
related to commonly known marijuana, typically ingested to achieve a high in the user, hemp has
extremely low concentrations of the active chemical in marijuana, THC, and is thus not deserving of
the cultivation ban it has endured as a result of this relation. Hemp has in the past been used widely for
textiles and cordage as well as paper, with almost all historically significant documents printed on
hemp paper. With the invention of techniques for creating paper from tree pulp, and the powerful ...

When the male plants are removed from growth sites, females cannot be pollinated and continue to
produce resinous flowers. These flowers can then be harvested, dried and cured, and are valued for
their medicinal properties. If the male plants are allowed to remain in fields then this flowering period
is relatively short, with extremely low quantities of THC produced. These plants then produce large
amounts of seed and greater volumes of fibre, and are commonly referred to as hemp. Hemp plants are
hardy and drought resistant, reaching up to five metres tall, with taproots penetrating up to one metre
into the soil, and have dense canopies of leaves, which once established grow rapidly and shade out
competing weeds, making the use of herbicides unnecessary. Hemp has a natural insecticide called
terpene as well, which is responsible for the distinct smell which emanates from the plants and is
believed to repel insects (Benhaim, P. 2005). Hemp of the past was grown primarily for its stalk,
consisting of both fibre and core, which is also known as shiv. These fibres are among the strongest in
the natural world, with traditional nautical uses as cordage, canvas and clothing, as well as paper. The
shiv, with its insulative and absorbent properties was used primarily as animal bedding. In more recent
times, hemps shivs have also been used as building materials, with applications in anything from

Project Plan And Workflow For Complete The Final Video
Project Methodology:
In this chapter, I present the project plan and workflow I used to complete the final video. In the
last part I discuss other software programs used to accomplish other tasks in the post production
stage.
Production Workflow:
The process to complete the insertion of a CG into a life footage is the same as a media production
workflow. The matchmoving process is part of an animation workflow which is part of the production
workflow. To achieve the final footage there is need to incorporate inherit workflows together.
Video Production Workflow:
To create a film, the process need to follow the basis of the media production workflow.

I decided to combine the production workflow and the basic matchmoving workflow so as to
accommodate
changes during the project. In figure1 below it shows a basic animation production workflow with the
corresponding video production stages and figure2 is a basic matchmove workflow with the different

Figure 3: A basic Matchmove workflow showing production stages.
In a simple VFX scene, the animator is responsible for the 3D creation, a visual artist is
responsible for the composite and the key role is played by the matchmover who create the CG camera
from the real camera and ensure others have the generated CG scene to work with. The matchmoving
usually happens early in the production workflow.
Figure 4: Adapted Workflow for the project.

production is divided into 3 stages as a normal video production process.
Pre Production: I decided to have this into 2 stages. The first stage was a plan of the video

The key stakeholders of education include traditional four year non profit universities/colleges and for

increase in student population, increase in prestige, and thus consequently an increase in revenues. All
types of colleges are trying to increase their endowment by raising tuition charges, admitting more

Why Is The Stonehenge Important
The Stonehenge is a massive stone monument located on a chalky plain north of Salisbury, England. It
was built between 4,000 5,000 years ago and believed to be completed in 3100 BC. It is made up of
two main stones: Sarsens and Bluestones. The sarsen stones are considered the biggest stones, while

There are three theories that are thought to be the reason in creating the massive monument. One
theory is that it was used as a sacred burial site. Finds of skeletons and burial mounds and the
existence of a ceremonial route are evidence that it was used as a burial site. Another theory is that it
was used as a site Celestial and Astronomical Alignments. The only evidence to support this theory is
that the timings of the cermonies are significant. Lastly, there is a theory in which the Stonehenge was
used as a place for healing. Many ancient societies argue that the bluestones had healing properties.
Many sacred and significant stones make up the construction of the Stonehenge. The Trilithon

Other soldiers gave up sleeping, when it got to cold, to sit in front of roaring fires (Kennett, 1995).
The wind in the area sometimes combined with the rains and the cold air, nearly knocking over the
tents of the soldiers and making them freeze into the night. During Sherman s March to the Sea, he
made a stop at Georgia s then capital, Milledgeville. Sherman arrived in Milledgeville encountering
virtually no resistance from Confederate troops; for they were off defending Macon and Augusta and
various key bridges across rivers and gorges. The Georgia governor had fled the town and took
anything of value from the Executive Mansion, shortly before Sherman arrived. Sherman took note of
the bare house and its slim pickings and slept inside along with some equipment and other soldiers for
the next few days. News of Sherman s capture of Georgia s capital helped break apart the will of the
Confederate soldiers. After Sherman s short rest he continued his march to Savannah where he could
replenish his supplies. Sherman arrived on the outskirts of Savannah on December 11, 1864. The city
was occupied by Confederate troops, and they had the city locked down. To help seize the city
Sherman would have to capture Fort McAllister to be able to safely advance to Savannah. Sherman
sends 4,000 infantry to seize the fort. After a very brief struggle the fort is seized and is in control by

seeing his sister explain to the kids how careful they needed to be in his car, and his nephew getting
sick and throwing up in the backseat, Randy starts to pour a can of soda in the car. He did not care
much about the car getting dirty, but focused more on making sure his nephew did not feel
embarrassed that he was sick. The message he was trying to get through to the audience was that life is
too valuable to waste it chasing possessions. In today s society, it often seems that people are focusing
more on their possessions than one another or experiences. But these possessions steal time, energy,
and attention that can be used on ore valuable and meaningful in life. Materialistic things are
temporary, they constantly perish and fade. But memories and experiences are forever. The joy,
fulfillment and happiness that many look for in these possessions can be found in invisible things such
as love, peace, relationships and hope. The heart and the soul is what makes someone valuable. The
people who live their lives pursuing materialistic possessions are never happy. They are always
desiring newer or bigger things because their deepest heart desires are not satisfied through these
material possessions. Materialism is a distraction. People are spending so much time trying to have the

friendships, and one another. There is a huge difference between material happiness and spiritual
happiness and that is something Randy also wanted his kids to remember and understand as they were

approval. Another challenge to effective communication is part time employment. Waiting for a
response to something urgent, when the person concerned is not back at work for 2 days is frustrating.
It also means effective handover periods and staff communication is essential. This is when the
communication book, and minutes to meetings that have taken place, are vital. They support the lines
of communication. Staff sickness is a challenge, if short notice and agency staff has to be used, this
puts pressure on the permanent staff member, as they have to ensure the temporary staff is aware of

Professionalism And Health Care Practitioners
Professionalism in Dentistry
Profession sometimes is seen as a similar thing to the occupation . However, these two terms have
different definitions that are not interchangeable with one another. Professionalism in Grasekemper s
study (2011) defined as:
[a] collective of expert service providers who jointly and publicly committed to always give priority to
the existential needs and interests of the public they serve above their own and who, in turn, are
trusted by the public to do so
Generally, health care practitioners are considered professionals, and dentists, as one branch of health
professionals, need to meet the expectations as professionals. This review introduces what
professionalism is and aims for the future professionals and professionals who are looking for external
organizations help build their professional attitudes or behaviours.
The world is full of interactions, and professionals pose much more power than non professionals in
various fields: societal, political, and environmentally. From these aspects, professionals have to be
altruistic and seeking their benefit only, but community s benefit to be the most. From the societal
aspect, professionals need to push the community to the direction where the most benefit of the
community can be achieved. Politically, professionals need to show their altruistic behaviour for the
community as well. In case when some legislations disadvantage the professionals and benefiting the
community, the professionals

The Natural World In Anne of Green Gables Essay examples
Both nature and the natural world in Canadian literature are viewed as significant themes in
representing an alternative composition to a landscape. It insists on painting a bigger picture and
changing the perspective on how we interpret the world. The natural world is diverse with the notion
that it can be seen through malevolency, in which it can instill fear or be seen as a threat. In addition, it
can be seen as nuanced and viewed in a more positive structure, where it is celebrated. In the coming
of age story, Anne of Green Gables, Montgomery represents nature in an optimistic standpoint and
therefore, establishes that nature is emphasized through the genre of romanticism. It can be argued that

What did that tree, leaning out from the bank, all white and lacy, make you think of? She asked. Well
now, I dunno, said Matthew. Why a bride, of course a bride all in white with a lovely misty veil.
(Montgomery, 65 66) It is identified here how nature pleases Anne s eye. The way in which she is able
to take a tree branch and bring it to life by imagining that is connected with something beautiful like a
bride. It doesn t only suggest her inquisitive imagination, but also her intellect. With using the
enjoyments of nature to foster a desire, and with her perceptive vision she is capable of imagining the
branch as something else. Through its beauty and emphasis on colour she can make a connection that
the tree branch can be compared to a bride. It is crucial how Anne doesn t take the natural sights of
Avonlea for granted, because she values the power of self expression in nature. Through her
imagination with nature she is able to seek comfort. This is seen on her first night in Avonlea, when
she s afraid no one will come for her, so she turns to a tree as her home, where she can sleep. She
states, I had made up my mind that if you didn t come for me and to night I d go down the track to that
big wild cherry tree at the bend, and climb up into it to stay all night. (Montgomery, 64) This scene
represents how Anne is reliant on nature. Instead of being afraid that no one has yet to pick her up she
uses nature to occupy her time. She is inspired by nature to

Evaluation Of The School District
Chapter Four The research around student choice in selecting their courses and teachers, will allow the
school district to build upon the relationships already established. When students are placed into their
preferred teachers class, it will reduce the discipline, improve attendance, decrease the loss of
instructional time, and improve the climate and culture within the school. If the proposed plan from
the previous chapter is implemented, the school district will be able to improve the classroom
experiences for each student. Implementation of this plan, along with the data currently provided,
would directly impact the students and the teachers.
Adjustments
As the Central DeWitt School District implements the planned program, the committee may develop
ways to make adjustments within the system. The changes in the procedure may evolve or change the
focus for staff development, which data is considered the most useful, how to apply the data, and what
to do if the plan does not improve the process. This may require the committee to review what
information is being shared by the students, but also which information is not being shared. The
school district will need to determine which method will allow the collection of the most important
data, to make the best decisions possible. The online program may allow for short answer, ranking, or
simply a selection option. Students may not understand the requirements to teach specific courses and
this may require the committee to

Field Programmable Gate Array ( Fpgas )
ABSTRACT:
Placements of logical blocks in FPGA use many optimization algorithms in heuristic manner. Main
objective is to provide minimization in wire length during the task placement inside Reconfigurable
FPGAs, which will decrease the area, power and delay and increase the speed of execution.
Optimization algorithms are applied in the Benchmark circuits and the results are compared. Due to
the technological advancement, density of the devices increases so that necessitates improvement in
minimization of wire length. Hence this project, proposes an optimum solution for wire length
minimization.
KEYWORDS:
FPGAs, Optimization algorithm
INTRODUCTION
Field Programmable Gate array (FPGAs) is becoming important implementation platforms for the
digital circuits. The main requirement is to utilize the FPGA s static resources in proficient manner.
Most of the commercial FPGAs will have the same structure. A 2D array of programmable logic
blocks that can implement multiplicity of bitwise logical functions bounded by channels of wire
segments to interconnect logic block I/O.
Fig 1: Basic Internal Structure of FPGA
There are two stage design in FPGA s are scheduling, Placement and Routing.
Scheduling
Determining sequence of executing the tasks with deadlines, i.e., real time Scheduling. The Worst case
Response time and feasibility analysis under scheduling algorithms of great importance.
Placement

How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Change The World
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication . Leonardo da Vinci was a quiet man, but is well known for
his intelligence. He was a man of few words, and never bragged about his intelligence. He let his work
do the talking for him. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the world s most incredible minds. He changed
the word with his scientific discoveries, many inventions, and beautiful art. Da Vinci was born on
April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He was born out of wedlock to Ser Piero and a peasant women. His
father was a well respected notary, but was never involved in Leonardo s life ( Renaissance Man ).
Leonardo only received a general education, which included reading, writing, and basic math. His
teachers and mother quickly realized his potential, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Renaissance was a new age in Europe. It means rebirth , which was a demonstration of what was
going on at the time. People began to explore the world, develop new artistic styles, and make
advances in math and science ( Renaissance ). Leonardo was the leader of the pack. He is the man
behind the brush of some of the most iconic paintings ever, including The Last Supper , Mona Lisa ,
and Vitruvian Man. He was commissioned by Ludovico in 1495 to begin the last supper. The painting
took da Vinci nearly three years, and shows the moment went Jesus notifies his Twelve Apostles that
one of them would soon betray him. Da Vinci does an incredible job of capturing the intensity of the
moment. He demonstrates his brilliance with his masterful strokes that portray the facial expressions
and body language of everyone in the room ( Leonardo da Vinci ). Leonardo spent a lot of time
examining the human body to try perfecting his art. He had an acute understanding of proportions and
movements of the human body. In his painting, Vitruvian Man , it is clear that he understands more
than most humans of that time period. Vitruvian Man states that the average man is nearly two meters
tall, and his outstretched arms are equal to the length of his body ( The Complete Works ). In the
Mona Lisa , uses some of his own techniques to make the painting extremely realistic. He treated
objects as 3 D figures, and used shadows, instead of lines, when outlining figures. Nobody knows who
Mona Lisa depicts, but that is beside the fact. It is easily one of the most famous paintings of all time.
Using his knowledge, da Vinci made his paintings more realistic and defined. He is also credited with
developed the techniques known as chiaroscuro and sfumato. These techniques involve using shadows
and subtle gradations in the paint. These techniques, along with his overall understanding

Speech Distracting Essay
In the informative speech, I didn t many things that were admired and distracting during the speech,
and I hope to improve on those distracting interrupting acts on my next speech. During the speech, I
did some items that were a little distracting through the speech. As I watched my speech I noticed I
had some awkward pauses, bad transitions, some um s, and a little stuttering throughout the speech. If
you look at the speech I tend to stutter which is a little distracting. Talking about the festival Diwali I
talk about Rangoli and its colored pattern I stutter and forget what I am explaining. Another thing I
could improve on is my transitions when hearing the speech, the transitions are a little rough and not
as smooth. During the transition when I switch from talking about the celebrations to the language I
say, with all these celebrations it tends to bring many religions and languages together doesn t really
make sense and could be spoken a little smoother. Stuttering is also a part of the speech I did during
the speech which distracting. Throughout the speech, I stutter during different parts and one of those
parts being when I am talking about the different traditions when eating Indian food. I say, some of the
traditions when people eat in India are well we all we eat on our hands, which is a little annoying.
During the speech, I also said um s during the speech. When citing my source on languages I said
some ums, repeating the citation from the notecard. During the speech I had a little tough time with
stuttering at moments, saying some um s, bad transitions, and some pauses in the future I tend to
improve it for the next speech. During the speech, I was also a good speaker in many ways. I had a
good voice projection, my hand moment was consistent, I was always facing the audience and held
eye contact, and had facial expressions to emphasize the importance of a topic. Right off the bat when
I was explaining my citation saying According to the U.S Census Bureau there are alone 5.7% Asian s
in the United States, I was pointing my hands to make sure everyone was paying attention to the
numbers. Another thing I did well during the speech was, that I kept eye contact with everyone during
the speech

  • 2. Wineburg, Ohio Essay Wineburg, Ohio Winesburg, Ohio, also known as the Book of Grotesque is a modern American classic by Sherwood Anderson. He came to be known as the Father of Realism , as he left his mark on literature, being the first one to portray authentic moments in American life. He tells the stories of many faces he saw in his dreams, describing their deeply moving lives filled with secrets. The twenty one stories in the novel are united through the setting, Winesburg, and the main character, George Willard. The novel is character driven, and the stories have very weak plots. Winesburg is a small town, full of lonely characters whom Anderson calls grotesques because of their inability to express themselves and communicate with others. The ... However, he still hungered for the presence of the boy, who was the medium through which he expressed his love of man (15). He runs away from George, but he still wishes his company; this manifestation makes him lonelier and more isolated. During the flash back, when the story goes back to the past and looks at the days when he used to be a teacher at Pennsylvania, Biddlbaum was one of those rare, little understood men who rule by a power so gentle that it passes as a lovable weakness (14). The History And Transitions Of Music The history and transitions of music has had many talented persons that have influenced music but none are so well known as Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. All three of these great composers performed during the Classic period and it would act as the base of classic music for the next one hundred and fifty, to two hundred years. The names of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven are so well known that people who have little to no knowledge of music will recognize their names. The urban communities of Austria and Germany would find the settings from 1750 1820 that would become known as the classical period. The Classic period had many developments such as the sonata, symphony and string quartet along with a growth of opera houses and concert halls were abundant during the classical period. The Golden Age will later refer to this time of classical music. The works of Franz Joseph Hayden, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven will be everlasting in the world of classical music. There are many opinions of the three big composers that do not include Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, furthermore everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Franz Joseph Haydn was born in Austria March 31st 1732 and died May 31st 1809 at age seventy seven. Argumentative Essay On Identical Twins Twins have a special claim upon our attention; it is, that their history affords means of distinguishing between the effects of tendencies received at birth, and those that were imposed by the special circumstances of their after lives. says Sir Francis Galton, 19th century behavioral genetics pioneer. Researchers have used twin studies to try to figure out the genetic backgrounds of an abundance of traits, from determination to intelligence to bizarre to alcohol dependence. The study of twins relies on studying teens raised in the same family environments. Identical twins (Monozygotic) share all of their genes, while fraternal (dizygotic) only share 50% of their genes. Compare how it differs from working without mask, assessing benefits and any perceived drawbacks. Discuss its potential effect, if any, on your work in non mask theatre. In this essay I will argue that the use of mask is vital in creating a believable and consistent character for performance. The techniques used in masks not only help to define a character but also help an actor improve their improvisation techniques. Jacques Lecoq wanted to explore the hidden gestures, emotions and underlying states of a character, which we express through mimages [109: 2002, Bloomsbury] I incorporated both the mimages and his ... I was ultimately surprised by the outcome, my end product was a trickster. The raised eyebrow however led to a smirk which ultimately led to the name Draco; a genus of reptiles, very apt for my character. However, the eviller Draco became the more drastic a counter mask had to be. As our piece was dedicated to stealing a picture of Zefron Zac Efron , when ripped, Draco had to flip suddenly. I drew upon the counter mask exercises we had developed in rehearsals. Changing everything that made Draco who he was. His ever present sneer faded into a frown and a wail. To achieve Draco s mannerism and voice I charged my mask. Copying the arched eyebrow on the mask I found a nasally voice with an added scoff at the end. I then began to work on my inner dramatic monologue. I wanted to keep in mind that Draco thought himself above everyone else hence a simple inner monologue; I am surrounded by idiots...peasants, they should be quivering in my mere presence. Getting the temperament of Draco however was difficult. Despite embodying the arlecchino mask I wanted Draco to keep an air of authority, the temperament I chose for Draco was Choleric This way follow me, follow me this way now! . • 7. Separating Mixtures And Its Effect On The Body Separating a mixture can be either very simple, or greatly complex. For example, a heterogeneous mixture, such as a bowl of different types of candy, can be easily sorted by the color, size, or shape of the individual candy. But homogenous mixtures, such as air, steel, or sugar water, takes sometimes complicated procedures to break the mixture or solution down into its original form. Separating mixtures can be done by using the differences in their properties, such as the color, size, shape, boiling point, or density of a specific element (Brown et al., 2014, p. 13). There are many types of methods to separating mixtures, which includes sublimation, crystallization, and simple or fractional distillation. Sublimation is the process that ... The process of sublimation is sometimes used by chemists to purify compounds by placing any solid into a vessel and then heating it ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). The heated vessel is then placed under a vacuum, a place that is empty of all matter, which evaporates the solid into a vapor and then condenses it as a purified compound. This process is useful when trying to purify a substance because it leaves the impurities of said substance behind ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). Another type of sublimation is called dye sublimation which is used in color printing on different types of materials like paper, t shirts, hats, mugs, metals, puzzles and other different types of surfaces. The process consists of heating a solid die material, which then solidifies onto the given surface. Even with a low printer resolution, dye sublimation allows extreme control of the color ratios that results in a good quality picture ( Sublimation (chemistry), 2008). Another process that separates mixtures is crystallization. Crystallization is the construction of solid crystals from a homogeneous solution. (Haslego, 2010). For any solution to start the crystallization process, it must first be supersaturated. Supersaturation is a state of any solution that contains more solute that is needed to create a saturated solution under normal conditions. (Brown et al., 2014, p. 537). For ... • 9. The Role Of Culture And Its Influence On Culture Topic 3 Role of Culture Culture can be defined as customs, attitudes and beliefs that is shared throughout a group of members that is part of society. These attitudes, customs and beliefs are passed down from generation to generation (Ali Abadi 2015). However, as time progress some cultures may change slightly, but still keep the most distinctive aspects that are unique to a particular culture. Culture is important because, it defines our values and beliefs, and that is, essentially, what guides the decisions we make (Kumar 2012). Culture plays a big role in how we behave in specific situations and how we perceive the world around us. Culture determines how its members interact with each other. According to Griffin and Pustay (2007) the global environment is impacted by the elements of culture. These elements includes social structure, religion, communication methods, language, norms and attitudes. Cultures can also be collectivist, which is when the needs and goals of the culture as a whole is placed above the needs and goals of an individual, or individualist, which is when individual needs take priority over collective needs of a group (Cherry 2015). For this reason it can be said that one s culture influences one s drive to work, what one would expect the work place to be like and how the workplace operates on a daily basis as well how to treat co workers or what treatment to expect from co workers (Ali Abadi 2015). For example, there are some cultural differences ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Maya Angelou Eulogy For Coretta Scott King Rhetorical... Born of Flesh and Destined to Become Iron: Analyzing Rhetorical Moves in Maya Angelou s Eulogy for Coretta Scott King When Coretta Scott King, civil rights activist and wife of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., died in 2006, her friend, author and activist Maya Angelou, eulogized her. In her eulogy, Angelou employs anaphora, personal anecdotes, and connotative diction in order to strengthen her pathos and memorialize and celebrate Mrs. King s long and illustrious life. Throughout the eulogy, Angelou utilizes anaphora to emphasize Mrs. King s beliefs and commitments to various important humanitarian causes. The audience, in turn, feels a more profound grief for her death as result. For instance, in the second paragraph, Angelou writes, She believed religiously in non violent protest. She believed it could heal a nation mired in a history of slavery and all its excesses. She believed non violent protest religiously could lift up a nation rife with racial prejudices and racial bias (Angelou). Repeating of the phrase, She believed gives the passage a rhythmic feel that suggests the reader/listener to reflect on the importance of Mrs. King s views and fully comprehend them as important and those of a caring and understanding Christian woman. She additionally expands on this while on the topic of what Mrs. King cared about: She loved her church...loved and adored her husband and her children...cherished her race...cherished women...cared for the conditions of human beings, of native Americans and...Latinos and Asian Americans...cared for gay and straight people Reiteration of verbs such as cared, loved, and cherished function to force the audience to listen to what Mrs. King loved and causes she found significant and urgent. Listeners then begins to view Mrs. King as a compassionate person; they feel mournful that the world has lost such a kindhearted woman. Likewise, Angelou applies the idea of the worldwide loss of Mrs. King to her advantage as she tells the audience, I stand here today for her family which is my family and for my family and all the families in the world who would want to be here, but could not be here. The concept of Mrs. King surrounded by adoring loved ones echoes through Angelou s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To start out with, a command economy is planned, where the government decides the main economic decisions. Next, a market economy is when individuals are free to make their own decisions as they buy and sell products. So between both economies, the command economy is planned and the market economy is free. In conclusion a command economy and a market economy, are two completely different things. I believe that the Private Enterprise is the most important. To begin with, individuals have rights to own their own business. However, the individuals might have their freedom but they also have to follow the laws. It, also let s the business owners produce goods with limited government decisions or directions. In conclusion, Private Enterprise let s individuals work, how they would like, while maintaining the laws. There are many reasons to why the market economy has been adopted in many countries that formerly had a command economy. One reason is that the market economy has the freedom to pick what type of business they would like to run. With a command economy the government chooses what type of business they get. So, the market economy has more freedom to run their business the way they like, while following the laws. This mix of 70 s metal and early 80 s punk blasted into mainstream America and brought the hard rock sound of the 70 s back to life, but the sudden, unexpected and to some unwanted, fame and popularity would prove to much for it and like so many pop culture movements before, it would fade away under the pressure( History ). No one signed contracts, a shake of a hand and the band and label were now in business together. Unlike the large rock bands of the 70 s or the pop bands of today Grunge bands didn t go seeking major record labels, they played to crowds of drunken friends and locals. They would play in clubs and bars where the crowd would get drunk and thrash about wildly. The Seattle phenomenon wouldn t have been possible without the network of college radio, fanzines, and indie contributors that sprang up in the wake of punk rock ( Grunge City ). The bands never expected to get big, most had a tight following of fans who were all that kept them going. The local fans had a lot to do with the development of Grunge. Grunge fans were the first fans to create fanzines. Fanzines were cheaply created magazines used to spread news about their favorite band, where they would be playing next, what their message was or just about the band members themselves. This small following of fans didn t put any pressure on a band, when they got up to perform it was to have fun and see how wild they could get the crowd. This lack of pressure and knowledge of how corporate America worked was a key factor in the quick downfall of Grunge. In 1991 Michael Jackson and Paula Abdul were at the top of the ... He further goes to show the type of life that a Christian live. The book is divided into four different sections. In each section, there are things that Lewis touches on. In the beginning, he talks about natural law and how it needs to exist since humans did not invent, but they respond to it. He states that God exists and that it is made of three parts: The Father, the son and the Holy Spirit. Lewis goes on to describe what a Christian believes and how a Christian should behave. He highlights that one of the steps in being a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ and try to be like him. He goes on to also point out that non believers should not know how Christians have differences within the faith because then there is where the notion that the religion is not well put or that its foundations are not strong become faulty. Book one deals with human nature law and the laws that apply to that. It talks about some of the objections that there are and moral law. In the first chapter from this section, he goes on to state that there is a universal right and wrong and that God is the only one that can instill that in us. When the male plants are removed from growth sites, females cannot be pollinated and continue to produce resinous flowers. These flowers can then be harvested, dried and cured, and are valued for their medicinal properties. If the male plants are allowed to remain in fields then this flowering period is relatively short, with extremely low quantities of THC produced. These plants then produce large amounts of seed and greater volumes of fibre, and are commonly referred to as hemp. Hemp plants are hardy and drought resistant, reaching up to five metres tall, with taproots penetrating up to one metre into the soil, and have dense canopies of leaves, which once established grow rapidly and shade out competing weeds, making the use of herbicides unnecessary. The Manager would then need to send a copy of the proposed change to both the CQC and local commissioner for approval. Another challenge to effective communication is part time employment. Waiting for a response to something urgent, when the person concerned is not back at work for 2 days is frustrating. It also means effective handover periods and staff communication is essential. This is when the communication book, and minutes to meetings that have taken place, are vital. They support the lines of communication. Staff sickness is a challenge, if short notice and agency staff has to be used, this puts pressure on the permanent staff member, as they have to ensure the temporary staff is aware of their duties as well as carrying out their own ... • 40. Professionalism And Health Care Practitioners Professionalism in Dentistry Profession sometimes is seen as a similar thing to the occupation . However, these two terms have different definitions that are not interchangeable with one another. Professionalism in Grasekemper s study (2011) defined as: [a] collective of expert service providers who jointly and publicly committed to always give priority to the existential needs and interests of the public they serve above their own and who, in turn, are trusted by the public to do so Generally, health care practitioners are considered professionals, and dentists, as one branch of health professionals, need to meet the expectations as professionals. This review introduces what professionalism is and aims for the future professionals and professionals who are looking for external organizations help build their professional attitudes or behaviours. The world is full of interactions, and professionals pose much more power than non professionals in various fields: societal, political, and environmentally. From these aspects, professionals have to be altruistic and seeking their benefit only, but community s benefit to be the most. From the societal aspect, professionals need to push the community to the direction where the most benefit of the community can be achieved. Politically, professionals need to show their altruistic behaviour for the community as well. In case when some legislations disadvantage the professionals and benefiting the community, the professionals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. The Natural World In Anne of Green Gables Essay examples Both nature and the natural world in Canadian literature are viewed as significant themes in representing an alternative composition to a landscape. It insists on painting a bigger picture and changing the perspective on how we interpret the world. The natural world is diverse with the notion that it can be seen through malevolency, in which it can instill fear or be seen as a threat. In addition, it can be seen as nuanced and viewed in a more positive structure, where it is celebrated. In the coming of age story, Anne of Green Gables, Montgomery represents nature in an optimistic standpoint and therefore, establishes that nature is emphasized through the genre of romanticism. It can be argued that in the novel, Anne of Green Gables by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What did that tree, leaning out from the bank, all white and lacy, make you think of? She asked. Well now, I dunno, said Matthew. Why a bride, of course a bride all in white with a lovely misty veil. (Montgomery, 65 66) It is identified here how nature pleases Anne s eye. The way in which she is able to take a tree branch and bring it to life by imagining that is connected with something beautiful like a bride. It doesn t only suggest her inquisitive imagination, but also her intellect. With using the enjoyments of nature to foster a desire, and with her perceptive vision she is capable of imagining the branch as something else. Through its beauty and emphasis on colour she can make a connection that the tree branch can be compared to a bride. It is crucial how Anne doesn t take the natural sights of Avonlea for granted, because she values the power of self expression in nature. Through her imagination with nature she is able to seek comfort. This is seen on her first night in Avonlea, when she s afraid no one will come for her, so she turns to a tree as her home, where she can sleep. She states, I had made up my mind that if you didn t come for me and to night I d go down the track to that big wild cherry tree at the bend, and climb up into it to stay all night. (Montgomery, 64) This scene represents how Anne is reliant on nature. Instead of being afraid that no one has yet to pick her up she uses nature to occupy her time. She is inspired by nature to ... • 42. Evaluation Of The School District Chapter Four The research around student choice in selecting their courses and teachers, will allow the school district to build upon the relationships already established. When students are placed into their preferred teachers class, it will reduce the discipline, improve attendance, decrease the loss of instructional time, and improve the climate and culture within the school. If the proposed plan from the previous chapter is implemented, the school district will be able to improve the classroom experiences for each student. Implementation of this plan, along with the data currently provided, would directly impact the students and the teachers. Adjustments As the Central DeWitt School District implements the planned program, the committee may develop ways to make adjustments within the system. The changes in the procedure may evolve or change the focus for staff development, which data is considered the most useful, how to apply the data, and what to do if the plan does not improve the process. This may require the committee to review what information is being shared by the students, but also which information is not being shared. The school district will need to determine which method will allow the collection of the most important data, to make the best decisions possible. The online program may allow for short answer, ranking, or simply a selection option. Students may not understand the requirements to teach specific courses and this may require the committee to ... • 43. Field Programmable Gate Array ( Fpgas ) ABSTRACT: Placements of logical blocks in FPGA use many optimization algorithms in heuristic manner. Main objective is to provide minimization in wire length during the task placement inside Reconfigurable FPGAs, which will decrease the area, power and delay and increase the speed of execution. Optimization algorithms are applied in the Benchmark circuits and the results are compared. Due to the technological advancement, density of the devices increases so that necessitates improvement in minimization of wire length. Hence this project, proposes an optimum solution for wire length minimization. KEYWORDS: FPGAs, Optimization algorithm INTRODUCTION Field Programmable Gate array (FPGAs) is becoming important implementation platforms for the digital circuits. The main requirement is to utilize the FPGA s static resources in proficient manner. Most of the commercial FPGAs will have the same structure. A 2D array of programmable logic blocks that can implement multiplicity of bitwise logical functions bounded by channels of wire segments to interconnect logic block I/O. Fig 1: Basic Internal Structure of FPGA There are two stage design in FPGA s are scheduling, Placement and Routing. Scheduling Determining sequence of executing the tasks with deadlines, i.e., real time Scheduling. The Worst case Response time and feasibility analysis under scheduling algorithms of great importance. Placement The FPGA s placement is to create a placed configuration ... • 44. How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Change The World Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication . Leonardo da Vinci was a quiet man, but is well known for his intelligence. He was a man of few words, and never bragged about his intelligence. He let his work do the talking for him. Leonardo da Vinci was one of the world s most incredible minds. He changed the word with his scientific discoveries, many inventions, and beautiful art. Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. He was born out of wedlock to Ser Piero and a peasant women. His father was a well respected notary, but was never involved in Leonardo s life ( Renaissance Man ). Leonardo only received a general education, which included reading, writing, and basic math. His teachers and mother quickly realized his potential, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Renaissance was a new age in Europe. It means rebirth , which was a demonstration of what was going on at the time. People began to explore the world, develop new artistic styles, and make advances in math and science ( Renaissance ). Leonardo was the leader of the pack. He is the man behind the brush of some of the most iconic paintings ever, including The Last Supper , Mona Lisa , and Vitruvian Man. He was commissioned by Ludovico in 1495 to begin the last supper. The painting took da Vinci nearly three years, and shows the moment went Jesus notifies his Twelve Apostles that one of them would soon betray him. Da Vinci does an incredible job of capturing the intensity of the moment. He demonstrates his brilliance with his masterful strokes that portray the facial expressions and body language of everyone in the room ( Leonardo da Vinci ). Leonardo spent a lot of time examining the human body to try perfecting his art. He had an acute understanding of proportions and movements of the human body. In his painting, Vitruvian Man , it is clear that he understands more than most humans of that time period. Vitruvian Man states that the average man is nearly two meters tall, and his outstretched arms are equal to the length of his body ( The Complete Works ). In the Mona Lisa , uses some of his own techniques to make the painting extremely realistic. He treated objects as 3 D figures, and used shadows, instead of lines, when outlining figures. Nobody knows who Mona Lisa depicts, but that is beside the fact. It is easily one of the most famous paintings of all time. Using his knowledge, da Vinci made his paintings more realistic and defined. He is also credited with developed the techniques known as chiaroscuro and sfumato. These techniques involve using shadows and subtle gradations in the paint. These techniques, along with his overall understanding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Speech Distracting Essay In the informative speech, I didn t many things that were admired and distracting during the speech, and I hope to improve on those distracting interrupting acts on my next speech. During the speech, I did some items that were a little distracting through the speech. As I watched my speech I noticed I had some awkward pauses, bad transitions, some um s, and a little stuttering throughout the speech. If you look at the speech I tend to stutter which is a little distracting. Talking about the festival Diwali I talk about Rangoli and its colored pattern I stutter and forget what I am explaining. Another thing I could improve on is my transitions when hearing the speech, the transitions are a little rough and not as smooth. During the transition when I switch from talking about the celebrations to the language I say, with all these celebrations it tends to bring many religions and languages together doesn t really make sense and could be spoken a little smoother. Stuttering is also a part of the speech I did during the speech which distracting. Throughout the speech, I stutter during different parts and one of those parts being when I am talking about the different traditions when eating Indian food. I say, some of the traditions when people eat in India are well we all we eat on our hands, which is a little annoying. During the speech, I also said um s during the speech. When citing my source on languages I said some ums, repeating the citation from the notecard. During the speech I had a little tough time with stuttering at moments, saying some um s, bad transitions, and some pauses in the future I tend to improve it for the next speech. During the speech, I was also a good speaker in many ways. I had a good voice projection, my hand moment was consistent, I was always facing the audience and held eye contact, and had facial expressions to emphasize the importance of a topic. Right off the bat when I was explaining my citation saying According to the U.S Census Bureau there are alone 5.7% Asian s in the United States, I was pointing my hands to make sure everyone was paying attention to the numbers. Another thing I did well during the speech was, that I kept eye contact with everyone during the speech ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
