What is Objective type
test?
 An objective test is a test that has right or wrong
answers and so can be marked objectively.
 In this test the ability of student is judged through
filling the blanks or selecting the correct answer
among the multiple options.
Why objective test is applied
for testing and how it is
useful?
 Mcqs can measure all the level of student ability.
 It enables wide sampling of subject content.
 Quick and easy to score by anyone.
 The answer is unambiguous.
 The validity is better than subjective test.
 Writing skills, spelling and neatness is not a factor for
students.
 Can be assessed quickly.
 Easy to administer.

What is Subjective type
test?
 Subjective type test are also called essay type test.
 An essay test is one, which contains one or more
questions or other tasks that require lengthy written
responses from student.
Why Subjective type test is
being conducted?
 Subjective type test are used to test ideas, culture,
coherence and creativity.
 To give an overall evaluation of the student mastery of
language.
 Subjective type test are more challenging and
expensive to prepare, administer and evaluate
correctly, but they can be more valid.
 Teachers who ask subject questions must care about
whether you are gaining a deep understanding.
