The article I chose to write my assignment on is Attitudes to Practice: Adoption Obstacles. It was
written by Claire Kimberly and Alexa Moore and published in the Journal of Gay Lesbian Social
Services on November 16, 2015. The authors investigated how attitudes towards same sex couples
could influence their adoption process and how it is handled by adoption professionals and

dictionary.com is lacking moral principles, and unwilling to adhere to proper rules of conduct. When
you decide to cheat you have lacked your moral principles. You are no longer a person to trust. You
have decided to not play by fair rules, and therefore have lost your integrity. Cheating is unethical
because it s not fair that you take advantage of another person s intelligence for you to take it as your
own. During an exam there should never be cheating, that is why they tell you in advance about the
day of the test so you can study. So, it is inappropriate and illegal to cheat on your exam.
Cheating oversteps on the rights of other people because while another person is doing their best to
finish a paper right, another person is cheating. The right person spent hours studying for an exam, if
not days studying. They went to sleep late to learn the material taught in class to be able to do an exam
and get an A. While the wrong person doesn t study. They do all tons of other stuff but, open a book,
or their notes. Then they go to do an exam, and they cheat all over it. That is wrong because while a
person spent their time, studying or worked hard to learn the material, then the cheater student comes
without studying and decides to cheat. They both might get an A. But, the studied student deserves the
A because that person put the time, and dedication to earn it. While the other student got an A but they
know in the bottom of their heart that they didn t deserve the A. Also, a common type of cheating is
when in an exam a person is doing their test, and a student close to them starts copying them.
Cheating also oversteps on the rights of others by simply not being loyal, or not playing by the rules.
In a business, there might be 2 business partners. The one that sees the triumph of the business, and

I joke that he is a dead mentor to me, because when I read his writings there is a longing in me to
imitate his faith, his passion for God, his conviction about being holy, his understanding about the
grace of God. I admire just how plainly and affectionately he wrote about heavenly things as though
he truly understood them. I just sit amazed at what God revealed to him and wonder if I will ever truly
know without a shadow of a doubt the things he speaks about. His writings are not just fluff, but are
the meat and potatoes of Christianity. If you read them you will not be disappointed, but you will be
challenged and inspired to believe you really can be godly through Jesus Christ. This is one of my
favorite books, perhaps because it provoked such thoughts of what true surrender is in the life of the
Christian. Should you ever find yourself driven to know the truth about the surrendered life, select this

As designers our role is to make a space not only aesthetically pleasing but functional. However
countless spaces to this day do not function properly because every person who enters it cannot use it.
Accessibility is often not considered in many interior space designs, which excludes people with
difficulties of mobility, vision, hearing, or dexterity. This exclusion or added difficulty means the
design has failed. As we have continued to learn about human factors with a focus on accessibility, I

For example weakness, arthritis or low stamina, adding the wheelchair radius of 1700 mm eliminates
more of the complications. The next design feature and ergonomic consideration for the Assisted
Living Centre was an accessible two level reception desk. This design can and should be a feature that
comes with all reception desks. Having a two level reception desk allows people to either be served
standing, or served in a wheelchair. It also ensures children to be seen and helped. Having an obstacle
free desk where a wheelchair can fit underneath so the person can seek the assistance they need is
optimal universal design. There was also a lot of thought that went into the flooring choices for not
only the common areas but the retirement suites. Dealing with seniors there is a higher concern for
falls or slips. Choosing a floor that allowed a wheelchair or walker to pass over it as well provide
traction and grip was a must. There also had to be considerations of the hardness of the floor to
eliminate any chance of injury steering clear of unforgiving hardwoods was the decision that had to be
made. Flooring can be aesthetically pleasing as well contribute to the safety and ease of use in a space.

The purpose of the immune system is to prevent and minimize infections; this is how the body
protects us from microbes that would otherwise make us ill or kill us (Dugdale, 2013). The immune
system works by differentiating between our own cells (self antigens), foreign cells (antigens), and
pathogenic microbes (Dugdale, 2013). When our cells discover anything unfamiliar, our immune
system works to destroy it(Dug dale, 2013). If the immune system cannot activate to kill foreign cells,
we can get infections (Dugdale, 2013). Conversely, if it is activated without any foreign cells present it

attack the skin, kidneys, lungs, blood vessels, joints, and other organs (Hunt, 2014). Lastly, Cell
mediated (Type IV) ,or Delayed, Hypersensitivity happens over 48 72 hours and sometimes 21 28
days after exposure (Hunt, 2014). A prime example would be a tuberculin test, where after 48 hours,
the lesion can become inflamed and erythematic (Hunt, 2014).
Immunodeficiency and Affect on the Body WHO recognizes more than 220 immunodeficiency
diseases (Specific Disease Type, 2015). These diseases are also chronic and happen when part of the
immune system is defective, missing, or not functioning the way it should ( Specific Disease Type,
2015). These type of disease can be an antibody deficiency, a cellular immunodeficiency, or an innate
immune disorder (Specific Disease Type, 2013). One innate immune disorder is HIV (Pagana, 2015).
This is a type of retrovirus that contains a protein and depresses the immune system (Pagana, 2015).
Antibody deficiencies affect the upper respiratory, sinuses, or lungs (Specific Disease Type,
2013).Finally, cellular immunodeficiency can cause viral, fungal, and bacterial infections in humans
(Specific Disease Type, 2013).
