Politics And Politics In Shakespeare
Shakespeare treats politics and politicians in a derogatory way as we can see that Lear sees them
as being abject tricksters and Hamlet thinks that they are evading God. The first political manual
was Machiavelli`s The Prince believed to written in 1513 and it set the way people viewed
politics and politicians, which was impossible to be a favorably way. His pragmatic book
exhibits the consolidation of power and the gain of it, and also promotes the idea that politicians
would do just about anything in their power to secure a strong state. The Prince describes what
men do, and it was banned by the Tudor politicians because it promoted politics in a vicious way.
Richard III is the vicious he pursues Lady Anne in a brassy way as she was grieving after her

The credibility stood in their accents and impressive acting background. Richard (Sir Laurence
David) is seen contemplating after his brothers coronation and addresses the audience as he
talks about the jealousy he feels when it comes to Edward (Sir Cedric Hardwicke). He fuels
rivalries and disorders in the court, because his sole purpose is to take the throne. The house of
York and Lancaster engage into battle, as Richard managed to, somehow, remove all obstacles
and ended with a very well seen public image. The famous scene come before the eyes of the
audience: knocked down from his horse, Richard yells the line that everyone knows A horse! A
horse! My kingdom for a horse (5.4) The fact that the battle scene was filmed on location, gave
the audience a taste of Richard`s despair as they can see him bloody and surrounded by his
enemies in a place that is more familiar than a theatre

Essay on Sail Away
How many people are tired of vacationing in the same DRAB place? How many people are
looking for some excitement, new experiences, and a chance to travel the world without
depleting your life savings? Cruise ships have always been a luxurious get away from the daily
CLUTTER of society. Since, the first transatlantic cruise in the 1900 s, over 1 billion passengers
have set sail for the high seas and half of those passengers are frequent ones. Today, I want to
share the insider secrets to why cruising is the best vacation ever and only an experienced cruiser

Additionally, having a state issue ID is also important in proving your identity as well as your
residency. You should always have your passport and an ID with you when going to foreign
countries and planning a cruise. In order to even step aboard a cruise line you have to show
your state ID as well as your passport. Immigration is also a security issue all over the world. It
would be an expensive mistake to misplace your passport and ID, because you can be detained in
a foreign country. Secondly, some people assume in order to plan a luxurious cruise you need a
travel agent, but truly all you need is a destination and internet. A rule of thumb is to start planning
for a cruise six months in advance and collect as much knowledge and tips from websites that
specializes in the cruise ship industry. The internet is a vast collection of information just waiting
for you to access it. You don t want to wait until the last minute to research, because that is when
careless mistakes happen and your dream cruise should be spectacular. For this reason, you should
access websites such as cruisecritic.com and cruise reviews.com. These website have pools of
knowledge that could make your cruise planning an easy endeavor instead of a confusing one. With

Solar Power And Solar Energy
Solar energy is capable of providing a cleaner energy than most forms of energy generation, and
solar energy is able to be generated economically. Solar energy reduces the amount of harm to
the environment from energy generation, by providing a cleaner alternative. Solar energy also
provides jobs for construction and installation of solar powered technologies. The cost of
installing solar panels can vary greatly, but its long term benefits outweigh the costs. Typically a
solar panel system is a three kilowatts to eight kilowatts system that cost fifteen thousand to forty
thousand dollars to install, total cost depends on circumstances of installation. However tax
credits and incentives help recoup a portion of the cost in the first year, the savings of electricity
cost makes installing the system profitable in under 10 years (Maehlum). Purchasing the system
requires a large loan, however paying the loan can be substantially better than paying utility bills
when the investment will eventually be paid for. If the system is large enough to handle the
requirements of the household, the only payment for electricity will be the cost of the loan.
Making loan payments instead of paying utility bills is predictable, and any excess energy will
be used as a credit for months were the owner s energy use may exceed the generated amount.
Within10 years of financing the solar panels, the cost of the solar panels will already made up by
the cost savings from not paying for utility

Dale Messick Women
Sequential art, better known as comics has long been a male dominated industry where
mainstream comics are known for their action adventure stories. Although a minority, women have
been a part of the sequential art industry since the late 1800s working as writers, artists, editors, and
publishers. Dale Messick (11 April 1906 5 April 2005) was one of the best femalesequential artists
in the industry. Ms. Messick broke the glass ceiling with her creation of the comic strip Brenda

They appealed to a limited audience because they focused on women and minorities.
When Messick introduced Brenda Starr the comic strip was different from its predecessors. The
strip had an action adventure theme which was first introduced in the 1930s. Messick s use of the
action adventure theme provided her with the opportunity to create extraordinary adventures for her
character that were set in exotic places. As a result, her comic strip appealed to both women and
men.
The action adventure theme is predominately used by male artists. Messick s use of the theme
meant that she was crossing over into a male dominated area and making her work open to
assessment by her male peers. When Messick s work was assessed by her male counterparts
much of the criticism was negative. Messick s character, Brenda Starr always received the best
assignments and traveled the globe in pursuit of a story. This resulted in Messick being criticized
for her unrealistic portrayal of female reporters, who were often delegated to covering social
events for their newspapers. Also, when she talked with male interviewers they didn t take her

Sexism Against Women
Sexism is prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, commonly towards women, on the basis of
their sex. Sexism is still present in today s society, especially against women. There are many
ways as to how people are sexist towards women. The three places that sexism against women is a
big issue: the media, pop culture and the sports industry. Some people do not allow women the
same opportunities that men have just because they are women. By creating sexismin these places,
people are treating women unfairly and with disrespect. The stereotypes that are created by women
paints a certain image of women that people believe to be true. The media is especially known for
creating unrealistic images of women.
One place where sexism against women is present is in the media. Women are portrayed a
certain way in advertisements, like TV commercials. The author of the book, book title, stated
that, according to advertisers, women drink iced tea and eat yogurt, salads, chocolate and cake ,
(DiAngelo and Sensoy, 86). This statement paints a certain stereotype of women based on the
things that they eat. It is a known fact that all women do not have the same diet and do not eat all
the same foods, so it is weird that advertisers say that all women eat the foods that they mentioned.
In today s society, social media is now a big part of the category media. An article was written on
the topic of sexism involving Twitter. The article mentions how hashtags that are used on twitter are
sexist.

J. B Priestley s Use Of Dramatic Irony In An Inspector Calls
J B Priestley uses a variety of theatrical and literary devices such as dramatic irony in this play to
present the characters to the audiences in a way that shows they are often deluded or false. The
play was set in 1912 but was not written and performed until after World War Two. Priestley s
intention was to make the point that everyone has social responsibilities and that they should
fulfil them too. J.B Priestley presents the Inspector as an unusual figure who is a catalyst on
stage, eliciting changes in the other characters. The Inspector enters during Birling s speech
where he is at his most arrogant. For example, in Act One the characters say I ve learnt in the
good hard school of experience and Everybody has to look after themselves . In lines such as
these, Mr Birling is portrayed as a self Confident and opinionated character to the audience.

An 11th Century Masterpiece Of The Middle Ages
An 11Th Century Masterpiece
What defines a masterpiece? A masterpiece can be defined as an enduring piece of work that has
been widely accepted, as both exceptional and groundbreaking, in a way that greatly influences
society. Masterpieces come in many varieties and forms such as art pieces, music, and architecture.
One of the greatest masterpieces of the Middle Ages, and one that is still standing today, is the Ely
Cathedral. Ely Cathedral s construction began in 1082 and took about three hundred years to be
completed (Clark, William W.). During this time, cathedrals arose out of towns and cities, which
were the natural centers of Christianity. The Middle Ages was a period of great volatility: a time of
invasions, conquering of lands, battles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ruling class of the day, consisting of kings, queens and their courts, was deeply intertwined
with the Catholic Church. Etheldreda, queen of East Angles who later became a nun, founded a
monastery in 673 on the grounds that would later become Ely Cathedral. Upon her death and
elevation to sainthood she was enshrined where Ely Cathedral would later rise from the place
of the former monastery at the decree of the Bishop of Bangor. The bishops of the Middle Ages
held high social status and had great influence because of the high roles they held in the state.
They were thus able to spend much of the church s wealth in and around the region of Ely on the
creation and construction of Ely Cathedral (Burton, Edwin). This spending greatly led to the birth
of Ely Cathedral as a social priority. This priority took the form of a broadening of the social
structure that included new trades such as stone cutting, masonry and other forms of skilled labor
that led to artistic endeavors such as sculpting and painting all directly impacted by cathedral
building ( Cathedral Building in the Middle Ages ). Held in very high spiritual and social regard,
the cathedrals throughout Europe, including Ely, commanded a kind of reverence that lasted for
hundreds of years much as the Catholic Church had before the church gradually began to lose hold
of its dominance as the Renaissance began to flourish. Once the Renaissance took hold many
cathedrals, including Ely, were diminished in influence and even damaged or destroyed. Ely,
however, withstood time ( The Cathedrals of

It s Time To Colonize Other Planets
Many space scientists have been theorizing the colonization of Earth s Moon, Mars, and some of
the farther planet s moons like one of Jupiter s moons, Titan. People on Earth have been consuming
an excessive amount each year, which is more than what our planet can handle. Plus, our population
is only bound to grow, but Earthwill unable to be as resourceful as it is now for future generations.
Not only is that a problem, but climate change is another large factor in the move from Earth to
Mars or the Moon. Scientists from NASA, European Space Agency, SpaceX, and Boeing space
explorationcompanies have been discovering numerous possibilities on how we can colonize
other planets in our solar system. Many of these ideas are focused around how we get out of our
atmosphere, ways to make the travel in a shorter time, and what kinds of people they d be sending

Colonizing other planets and moons could be beneficial to the world because it gives us a new
future and ensures a life for humans if anything happened to Earth, People argue that it is
expensive and hard to do, however after a lot of analyzing from space travel scientists, it is more
simple and less expensive than what critics claim.
Colonizing the moon would be beneficial because it could be cheap and done quicker compared to
the relative benefits to humanity. Fecht writes, Returning humans to the moon could cost 90
percent less than expected, bringing estimated costs down from $100 billion to $10 billion (Fecht).

A Research on Team and Group Communication Processes
Team and Group Communication Processes:
The systematic description on the nature of the processes of communication in several areas
including businesses and organizations is known as communication theory. Organizations and
businesses are required to understand the concept of communication theory because the
achievement of organizational and business goals is dependent on effective communication.
Communication theory focuses on examining the process of transmitting information from the
sender to the receiver. Furthermore, communication theory analyzed the various means for transfer
of information from one medium to the other. As people across the globe have been working with
several communication theories, these theories provide an abstract understanding of the process of
communication.
A theoretical explanation of communication processes is usually provided when professionals
across various fields talk about their communication strategies, types, and effectiveness (Dainton,
2004). In the healthcare sector, primary health care team members and other caregivers or service
providers are usually required to communicate effectively with one another in order to enhance the
quality of service. This is largely because there is a direct relationship between communication and
team or group effectiveness.

on teamwork, groups or teams work more effectively when all members actively

Post Retirement Issues Experienced By Athletes Essay
The previous sections highlighted post retirement issues experienced by athletes, (i.e., hardships,
future concerns, identity issues, career planning decisions, etc.). To summarize, the literature has
consistently supported that most athletes struggle with retirement (Warriner Lavallee, 2008;
McGannon Mauws, 2000; Reifsteck, 2011), and that athletes who are forced to retire may
experience more transition related difficulties than those who are not (Lavallee, Gordon, Grove,
1997; Heird Stienfeldt, 2013). Since the average age of athletic retirement is 33 years old (Hadavi,
2011), most retired athletes are required to obtain a new occupation; however, most athletes have
difficulty obtaining a job or feeling competent once they find a job (Stephan, Bilard, Ninot,
Deligniers, 2003). Furthermore, Stephan, Bilard, Ninot and Delignieres (2003) found that athletes
revealed feelings of incompetence towards their new occupation that lasted as long as 8 months.
Therefore, a review evaluating successful careerplanning models in general is necessary, as there
are few post retirement career planning models for athletes in existence (Lavallee, 2005; Morris
Cherry, 2007; Stambulova, 2010). Prominent career planning models that will be discussed include
Holland s theory of vocational personalities, organizational investment, narrative career counseling,
and social cognitive career theory.

Satire Analysis
The Power from Jokes
According to the psychologist, Daniel Goleman, People should be emotional intelligent. Goleman
is the author of Emotional Intelligence Why it can Matter More Than IQ formulates a different
definition of smart. The elements that create what it means to be emotionally intelligent are
incorporated to the figurative language, satire. Many comedians are using satire to expose flaws
and criticize the political system. Trevor Noah, a satirist, is a good example of how satire works
in comedy and how the audience reacts to it. The use of satire is so effective when it is
incorporated in comedy since it has the ability to challenge authority and have political influence.
First of all, the only difference between satire and criticism is that satire is implied and not
overtly stated. Satire is a form of being able to indicate human behavior disobedience and social
resistance. It derives from the Latin word satura meaning the involvement of basic principles of
stage show to the introduction of formal Latin comedy. Which is why satire is used mainly from
comedians. It also communicated in literature, internet, comics and cartoons. Comedians expose
most of work through the form of satire because it is a way to alert people by grabbing their
attention to something that they can laugh about instead of getting serious about it. It is not meant
to provoke any real change. Satire consists of a few characteristics like humor, irony, sarcasm,
critic, and implication. Satire

Wesleyan Quadrilateral Analysis
Wesleyanism derives from theology based upon the views of John Wesley, founder of Methodism.
The main themes of Wesley s theology are based on his letters, diaries, and journal. His sermons
and commentaries on the Bible, books, pamphlets, and the collections of hymns that he and his
brother Charles produced also had a great impact on Methodism. These memorabilia reveal a rich
collection of insights about John Wesley s viewpoints of Christianity, his personal life and activities,
and the origin and development of the early Methodist movement and its mission. After examining
the corpus of Wesley, Albert Outler, a 20th century American Methodist theologian and philosopher,
coined the phrase Wesleyan Quadrilateral. The Wesleyan Quadrilateral affirms four valid sources of
theology: scripture, reason, tradition and experience. Scripture is considered the primary source
and standard for Christian doctrine. Tradition is experience and the witness of development and
growth of the faith through the past centuries and in many nations and cultures. Experience is the
individual s understanding and appropriating of the faith in the light of his or her own life. Through

Flint Water Crisis Who knew that Flints water could be deadly? Everyone should be allowed to
have the same clean water to bathe in, drink, cook with, and to have fun in. Unfortunately,
residents in Flint could not do this for quite some time. These residents were bathing and
drinking from this water before the founding of high lead levels in it. Not only was it because of
the high lead levels, but the pipes were very old as well. Due to actions made by the city council
this caused a lot of problems for the residents in the city of Flint. This effected children, pregnant
women, and the elderly the most. Many lawsuits were filed against the city of Flint. It was so
serious to the point that Governor Snyder had to declare a state of emergency. This took place
January 5th of 2016. High levels of lead in the water and old pipes lead to lawsuits, the sickness of
Flint residents, and the city of Flint not doing their job. Before the water crisis, Flint was receiving
water from Detroit s water pipes which gave out very healthy water. Detroit had enough water to
share with other cities. Doing this was not free though and it was not very cheap. Flint had to pay
Detroit in order to use the water. After so long, Detroit s water system had begun to cost too much
for Flint. Flint then switched to another water system. The Flint city council voted to switch their

The Differences Of Alexander Hamilton And Thomas Jeffersons
Like many in their time, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were friends and on the same
side to absolve colonial ties with Great Britain. But once the war was over and independence was
documented in the Treaty of Paris, the new business of creating a new nation was at hand. During
this time, it became apparent that those who shared the same side during the revolution would now
find themselves at odds with one another. Both men had visions and desires for the new nation.
However, nearly one hundred years later and following the civil war, one vision in particular, was
closer to reality than the other. Both of these men were fundamental in the birth of this nation, but
their views on government, economics, and politics differ substantially. Economically speaking,
Hamilton wanted a growing and thriving society based on trade and large manufacturing
companies. In contrast, Jefferson envisioned a society that was based mainly on the presence of
many small farmers. Jefferson particularly did not want large amounts of manufacturing to be done
in the US. He argued that manufactured goods could be imported from Europe, while the US could
remain primarily agrarian. During the Reconstruction period, the South went through a major
reconstruction and rebuilding phase. Although farming was still a large part of the economy, large
manufacturing facilities emerged as well. The increase in large manufacturing facilities and
international trade mirrored the vision of Hamilton much more so than Jefferson s. Jefferson and
Hamilton differed widely in their views of politics and the structure of society. Jefferson
envisioned an egalitarian country vs Hamilton s aspirations of a more stratified society. Jefferson
wanted pure equality for everyone regardless of social, economic, or background. In contrast,
Hamilton wanted a growing manufacturing society were owners of factories and large industries
were politically more powerful than the people that worked for them. Although the Reconstruction
was designed to create a perfect equal rights society, other than freeing the slaves, it failed
miserably and was unlike Jefferson s vision of an egalitarian society. Although the slaves were free,
they still didn t receive equal

Analysis Of Pompeii In The Satyricon
The Satyricon has been dated to the first century CE, in which Pompeii was a Roman city and the
eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 CE. Due to the mentions of Pompeii in The Satyricon
without mention of the eruption, it can be assumed that the novel was written before the eruption
and that some of the Roman lifestyles can be applied to Pompeii as it still stood and was partially
Romanized during this text. Although this Roman work is a fictional satire, it still illuminates
what social parties, house design, slave relations, women s roles, religious beliefs, etc. may have
been like in the final days of Pompeii. The excerpt analyzed from The Satyricontells the events that

Punishment of slaves is evident throughout the section of Trimalchio s Feast for a slave who
dropped a dish and a chef who forgot to gut the pig (Petronius 25, 39). The roles these slaves
have are typical of those in a home according to George, and other slave tasks included personal
hygiene which is glimpsed the guests feet are cleaned when they enter the dining area (Petronius
23). George also explains how slaves were treated as inanimate objects and not fully human;
however, Trimalchio later exclaims, My dear people he said, slaves are human beings too... In
fact, I m setting them all free in my will (Petronius 58). This contradiction shows how slaves may

A Small Nips And The Bloody Chamber
Luce Irigaray in Women on the Market, put forth the theory that our own culture, is based upon
the exchange of women and that women are relegated to three social roles. Those roles are
mother, virgin, prostitute (807,8). She then states that the enigmatic character of women comes
from the form of the needs /desires of man (806). We are mother or prostitute determinate on man
s need. She also argued that man s libido is another name for the abstraction of energy in a
productive power (806). Men use their libido to control nature. She then argues that another name
for the subordination of the specific qualities of bodies to a neutral power that aims above all to
transform them, to possess them (806). Men transform women to his need, hence the role of mother
or prostitute, and thus possess them. In Frida Kahlo s painting, A Few Small Nips and in Angela
Carter s shorty story The Bloody Chamber, both share the theme of death as transformation for man
to possess the main characters.
In Frida Kahlo s painting, A Few Small Nips, a womanlies mostly naked on white sheets. She has
on one high heeled shoe, and a rumpled sock. She has been sliced and poked by the knife that
the man standing above her is holding. The sheets are covered in blood, her body is covered in
blood, and the floor is covered in the blood. The woman is clearly dead, and the man standing
above her is relaxed, pleased, with his left hand resting comfortably in his pocket. The expression

Deontology and Homosexuality Essay
If a faculty advisor censors an article written by a gay student, they are following their traditional
viewpoints against the homosexual lifestyle. Several researchers have addressed the issue of sexual
preferences and consequential discriminative beliefs. According to research by Herek (1987),
religion is one of the most important social agents in defining viewpoints against homosexuality,
and their intolerance reflects on both the academic community and the entire society. As a moral
realist, I cannot form prejudices because the main rule of moral realism states that the objective
truth is not related to subjective beliefs. The perlocutionary analysis will be used in evaluating and
responding to the issue because my goal is to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Roman Catholic Church did not accept the gay lifestyle at the time when the article had to be
published, so it was expected that they will censor it. According to the divine theory, God sets
the rules people follow and his rules are absolute in all circumstances (Wierenga, 1983). While
the Church argues for God s perfection, I would argue that the rules they follow are their own,
and I would point out the contradiction in their own rules. In the case of homosexuality, the
Church states that they are against homosexuality. On the other hand, the Church promotes love
and compassion for all living beings (Herek, 1987). Homosexuals are living beings, so it is not
possible to promote love for living beings and prejudice against homosexuals at the same time,
and the argument imposed by the Church displays a deductive fallacy. If God is the creator of the
world and loves all of his children, it is not possible to state that God is against the gay lifestyle
and gay people. In conclusion, despite the differences in sexual orientation, God equally loves all
people.
According to moral realism, statements can be true or false, and its status is defined by objective
factors that are unrelated to subjective beliefs and opinions. If I am a moral realist, I cannot accept
discrimination based on subjective viewpoints against other people. In that case, the letter would
display statements such as, It is unethical to separate

Biblical Theme Of The Old Testament V. New Testament

An Analysis of Son of Man perceptions in the Old Testament v. New Testament
Alejandro Londono
(Professor)
(University)
6 Nov 2014
The term Son of Man is translated differently by the prophets, apostles, and people of the Old
Testament when compared to how the term is viewed in the New Testament. In analyzing how the
terms are perceived during these times, it becomes possible to trace the theme of the Son of Man,
and how it was viewed in the Old Testament, to how the Son of Man has been viewed in the New
Testament. In observing these differences, one can clearly see the term had similar meanings, but
was represented in a different fashion, depending on the peoples and circumstances of the time
period. In analyzing these occasions in which the term Son of Man is used throughout the two
testaments, it will become clear as to their intended, and actual interpretations.
In the Old Testament, it is Ezekiel who is the protagonist, in a sense. This becomes apparent,
because Ezekiel plays such a vital role to the message behind the books of the Old Testament.
Ezekiel was a man as God had intended, and can also be viewed as the coming savior in the Old
Testament (Morris Henry, Ph.D., 1 3). The importance of Ezekiel is soon observed, and as
noticed in chapter 2, verse 1 of the book Ezekiel of the Old Testament, God commands Ezekiel to
stand, so that he may be commissioned as a prophet for the peoples of Israel (UcoG,

Analysis Of Alan Moore And Dave Gibbon s Gives Us A Peak...
In Watchmen, Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon s gives us a peak of what a world would be like
with costumed heroes. The story questions the definition of a hero and their limitations. The
graphic novel breaks down the genre by focusing on characters who only appear as heroes. The
idea of vigilantism, violence, sense of justice, and gender are all examined in the lens of this
apocalyptic and utopian world. When we think of superheroes, who do we normally picture? Most
of us will probably think of Superman who embodies the traits of a hero and even has the word
super in his name. These superheroes that we think of are often symbols of power, justice, and
freedom. Although not all heroes have these attributes, one of the key aspects of being a hero is
their virtue. These heroes were created with an immense sense of morality. Particularly, Watchmen
reverses this moral belief. It is consistently reminding us that in a real world with actual people
that they will make mistakes or considered as villains. This holds true for everyone, even for the
heroes in the book because under their costumes they are humans as well, with the exception of
Dr. Manhattan. For example, Edward Blake represents a lack of remorse and is often depicted as
someone who enjoys the act of killing. When he refuses to take responsibility for impregnating a
woman he met during his time in Vietnam, she slashes him across the face with a broken bottle
(Chapter 2, Page 15, Panel 2). Blake retaliates by shooting

The Importance of Dna Evidence
The Importance of DNA Evidence
What is DNA? Is it these winding strands that look like ladders or is it what gives a person
blonde hair and blue eyes? Actually, DNA is both of these things. DNA is a person s genetic
makeup their hereditary blueprint passed on by their parents. It is a part of almost every cell in the
human body. In each cell, a person s DNA is the same; it stays the same throughout their lifetime.
DNA is found in skin tissue, sweat, bone, the root and shaft of hair, earwax, mucus, urine, semen,
and vaginal or rectal cells. The DNA found in a person s saliva is the same as the DNA found in
their blood. Parts of the DNA determine our physical characteristics, such as eye and hair color,
height, and bone structure, but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Every State in the Nation has a DNA database that allows for the collection of DNA profiles from
offenders convicted of particular crimes. CODIS software enables State, local, and national law
enforcement crime laboratories to compare DNA profiles electronically, thereby linking serial
crimes to each other and identifying suspects by matching DNA profiles from crime scenes with
profiles from convicted offenders. The success of CODIS is demonstrated by the thousands of
matches that have linked serial cases to each other and cases that have been solved by matching
crime scene evidence to known convicted offenders.
Recent advancements in DNA technology have improved law enforcement s ability to use DNA to
solve old cases. Original forensic applications of DNA analysis were developed using a technology
called restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). Although very old cases (more than 10
years) may not have had RFLP analysis done, this kind of DNA testing may have been attempted
on more recent unsolved cases. However, because RFLP analysis required a relatively large
quantity of DNA, testing may not have been successful. Similarly, biological evidence deemed
insufficient in size for testing may not have been previously submitted for testing. Also, if a
biological sample was degraded by environmental factors such as dirt or mold, RFLP analysis may
have been unsuccessful at yielding a result (Turman).
Although DNA technology can be used in criminal cases

How Technology Has Changed the Accounting Profession
1. Introduction
Thirty years ago, most financial accounting was done manually, leading to a great deal of
paperwork. Currently, most accounting information is recorded via computers and wide area
networks (Journal of Accountancy, 1994a). Technology has certainly changed the face of
accounting over the years. While it is unclear whether technology s impact on accounting has been
positive or negative, it is clear that technology has drastically changed the accounting profession.
Often a technological advance may be an asset to a business, but a liability to the firm s accountant.
For example, information can be provided in a timely and more accurate manner, but at the price of
confidentiality. Some of the impacts of technology are neither ... Show more content on

Expert systems and advanced accounting software that have recently been designed could be
perhaps one of the greatest assets of technology to accountants. Users of this recent development in
technology range from the smallest proprietorships to the largest of corporations. Expert systems
are a type of artificial intelligence that assists accountants in their decision making (Journal of
Accountancy, 1996). These systems are especially useful in both auditing and tax decision making
but can be developed to aid users in many different areas including inventory control and financial
statement preparation ( Pincus and Accounting). A software company called Intuit recently
developed a program called Quicken 4 for Windows. This software provides accountants with on
line documentation, multimedia tutorials, and even interactive advice from financial experts (
Byte, 1995). Visual Accountmate developed a program called Manufactures Inventory that posts
the goods to the appropriate accounts as the inventories move through the manufacturing process.
For the small privately owned business, Windows 95 has developed a program that helps
accountants to develop financial statements by presenting a series of specific questions (
Accounting Technology, 1997). These are just a few examples of how expert systems and

A Note On Sequential Game
Sequential Game I m currently employed in the health care industry, but before my career
began I worked for a major airline company for 5 years in various roles. Although I ended up
choosing a career in the health care field because of its stability, I still find the airline industry a
valuable and interesting market. To this day, I have many friends and acquaintances that still
are employed within the industry and are involved in contracts negotiations for their respective
companies. From experience and further research, I found two large companies, Boeing and
General Electric (GE) who are two major players in the airplane and parts manufacturing market.

Analysis Of Johnny Depp, By Edward Scissorhands
Johnny Depp, is one of the most talented physical actors of this age. His unique and often wacky
movements make each of his characters stand out. Most famous for his role as the ridiculous
pirate captain Jack Sparrow, form Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp is also widely known for a
number of other interesting characters in a number of other interesting shows, one of his earliest
being Edward Scissorhands, in Edward Scissorhands (1990). The expansion of Depp s use of
physical movement is tremendous between Edward Scissor hands ad Pirates of the Caribbean. And
though they both differ tremendously in personality and physicality, they still maintain the wacky
persona that is so characteristic of Johnny Depp. First let us analyze whether or not Depp centers
each character. And the answer is that he centers both, but each differently. Edward Scissorhands is
very centered, but definitely not comfortably centered. Although he stands erect, he stands with his
head pulled back and his back very stiff, and his adds to the bizarreness of his strange character.
Who stands like that? No one. It is interesting how just a little abnormality in posture can bring out
abnormality in the entire character. Additionally, the way that Depp centers Edward Scissorhands,
with his head constantly either pull back too far jutted forward in moments of interest add to the
emotions of curiosity and apprehension that are so strong in this character. Depp s second
character, the famous Jack Sparrow, is

India s Opinion On Indian Theatre
The aim of this essay is to explore how Indian theatre has developed within Britain, society s
opinion on Indian performers in theatre and how it is now becoming more acceptable and respected
in modern day British theatre. It is very clear that ethnical established ways of thinking have always
been challenged in Indian theatreperformance for several reasons. These consist of the
disadvantages faced by the ethnic groups on the British stage, the use of Indian languages, and how
Indian Theatre is looked upon by audiences Indian and non Indian. Tara Arts Theatre Company will
be used as a case study throughout this essay.
Firstly, in the report from, The Arts Britain Ignores it is highlighted that the historical disadvantages
faced by ethnic minority arts... (were) ... lack of premises to rehearse, lack of comparable back up
that is afforded to equivalent native British groups, lack of acceptance within the arts structure
(Khan, 1976, cited in Hingorani, 2010, p. 4). From this it is apparent hat earlier on even though the
Indian theatre community were producing great plays they still had to work and overcome the
barrier of not having any help, support or encouragement from the mainstream British theatre
industries and arts councils.
These boundaries all lead up to Tara Arts Theatre Company. The birth of Tara Arts was created
when a male Asian youth called Gurdip Singh Chaggar was killed in a racial responsive attack.
This took place in London on 4 June 1976. (Hingorani, 2010,

are limited by the answers provided. It is easy to lie or skirt the truth when self reporting data. In
my opinion, the Big Five questionnaire was a more accurate assessment of my personality than was

The LIFE survey was very similar to the Big Five in that it measures personality in multiple
dimensions and then gives a numerical score for each dimension. The dimensions on the LIFE
survey are suburbanite, cultured, slacker, and preppie. In the suburbanite dimension, I scored 8
out of 13. According to the survey, people who score higher in the suburbanite dimension live a
more conventional life style and tend to be more family oriented and conservative than those
who score lower. I agree with this score. I tend to be more of a homebody and I enjoy cooking,
which is a sign of a suburbanite. I scored 2 out of 13 in the cultured dimension which I disagree
with. The interpretation of my low cultured score contradicts the interpretation of my low
slacker score. Cultured people try to better the world around them by attending museums,
volunteering, and writing letters. People who score low in this dimension as I did, are assumed
to be the kind of people who eat too much junk food and watch too much TV. The discrepancy
probably arose due to my introversion tendencies, as cultured people are purportedly expressive
and vocal. I scored low, 3 out of 13, in the slacker dimension. I apparently relate better to other
humans than I do to computers, and I know that smoking and drinking in excess are bad for my
health. People who score high in the slacker dimension live unhealthy lifestyles, characterized by
their excessive use of TV, fast food, smoking, and drinking habits. I agree with my slacker score,
but this assessment of my personality in the slacker dimension directly contradicts the assessment
in the cultured dimension. I supposedly eat too much fast food and indulge in too much TV
according to my cultured score, but according to my slackers score I live a healthy life style
characterized by my infrequent indulgence in fast food, TV, smoking, and alcohol. The
contradictment of these two dimensions goes to show that it is

Why did the Federal Reserve fail in this fundamental task? The Federal Reserve s leaders disagreed
about the best response to banking crises. Some governors subscribed to a doctrine similar to
Bagehot s dictum, which says that during financial panics, central banks should loan funds to
solvent financial institutions beset by runs. Other governors subscribed to a doctrine known as real
bills. This doctrine indicated that central banks should supply more funds to commercial banks
during economic expansions, when individuals and firms demanded additional credit to finance
production and commerce, and less during economic contractions, when demand for credit
contracted. The real bills doctrine did not definitively describe what to do during banking panics,
but many of its adherents considered panics to be symptoms of contractions, when central bank
lending should contract. A few governors subscribed to an extreme version of the real bills doctrine
labeled liquidationist. This doctrine indicated that during financial panics, central banks should

Psychology of Interrogations
1) PSYCHOLOGY OF INTERROGATION
Interrogation questioning a suspect or witness by law enforcement authorities. Once a person being
questioned is arrested, he/she is entitled to be informed of his/her legal rights, and in no case may
the interrogation violate rules of due process. * Interrogation may be considered as accusatory,
which differentiates it from interviewing. * Context of interrogation is always coercive. Although
police powers may be small, psychological powers are very great * Some interrogation tactics use
physical coercion, as evidenced in US with Afghanistan non combatants e.g. water boarding. *

a.For the frequency table: students will use their previous knowledge of tally marks and build
on that by taking it one step further and making a frequency table using pretzel sticks. They are
going to use their desk to create a frequency table using their dry erase markers and pretzel sticks.
Walk them through how to draw it using the illustration below for clarity. They will need to fill
in the types of pies before being given the data; you can use the types of pies that are listed in the
book on page 12, or you can have the class fill it in with 4 different types of pies. After they have
drawn their table, they will need to fill it in. Give them the following data: First row (whatever
type of pie you decided) 8, second row 4, third row 11, fourth row 5. As you give them each
number, they need to fill in the tally section with that number of pretzel sticks; the fifth pretzel
stick should sit diagonally across the other pretzel sticks just like regular tally marks. Once they
have all their tally marks, have them write the numerical total for each row in the last column.

Examples Of Romanticism In The Victorian Era
The Victorian era of British history (and that of the British Empire) was the period of Queen
Victoria s reign from 2o June 1837 until her death, on 22 January 19o1. It was a long period of
peace, prosperity, refined sensibilities and national self confidence for Britain. Some scholars date
the beginning of the period in terms of sensibilities and political concerns to the passage of the
Reform Act 1832.Within the fields of social history and literature, Victorianism refers to the study
of late Victorian attitudes and culture with a focus on the highly moralistic, straitlaced language
and behaviour of Victorian morality. The era followed the Georgian period and preceded the
Edwardian period. The later half of the Victorian age roughly coincided with the first portion of the
Belle Г‰poque era of continental Europe and the Gilded Age of the United States.
Victorian literature is that produced during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837 19o1) or the
Victorian era. It forms a link and transition between the writers of the romantic period and the very
different literature of the 2oth century. The 19th century is often ... Show more content on

Nature, particularly wide open fields and sunny pastures, serve as Arnold s anchor in a constantly
changing world full of constantly changing people. Further, humans are able to rise above the
cluttered modern world by reflecting on the purity of nature. Sometimes, nature can cause
consternation, because it reminds the speaker that he can never quite transcend or leave society
to the extent that he desires. one good example of Arnold s use of nature is in A Wish, in which
the speaker s dying wish is to be placed by a window as he dies, so that he may look out at the
beautiful landscape that will be there long after he is gone. Natural metaphors are woven all
throughout Arnold s poetry, typically symbolizing beauty and purity, and the human ability to

Heathcliff Revenge Quotes
Wuthering Heights is a novel written by Emily BrontГ« and is considered by many to be a
straightforward and intense, love story. However, the story is truly about revenge and the

angry and sometimes malicious individual from childhood to his death in his late thirties. Heathcliff
becomes well loved by his dad in his adopted family, however after his adopted father s death, he is

Grange, Edgar really doesn t have much to worry about. Edgar seems to have a masochistic

servants and hits him. As Nelly puts it, he possessed the power to depart as much as a cat
possesses the power to leave a mouse half killed, or a bird half eaten (8. 87). Edgar seems to be
overly cautious around Catherine while Heathcliff continues to obsess about her. According to
Nelly, Edgar displays a deep rooted fear of ruffling her humour (10.13). Eventually, Catherine

Typically a solar panel system is a three kilowatts to eight kilowatts system that cost fifteen thousand to forty thousand dollars to install, total cost depends on circumstances of installation. However tax credits and incentives help recoup a portion of the cost in the first year, the savings of electricity cost makes installing the system profitable in under 10 years (Maehlum). Purchasing the system requires a large loan, however paying the loan can be substantially better than paying utility bills when the investment will eventually be paid for. If the system is large enough to handle the requirements of the household, the only payment for electricity will be the cost of the loan. Making loan payments instead of paying utility bills is predictable, and any excess energy will be used as a credit for months were the owner s energy use may exceed the generated amount. Within10 years of financing the solar panels, the cost of the solar panels will already made up by the cost savings from not paying for utility ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A masterpiece can be defined as an enduring piece of work that has been widely accepted, as both exceptional and groundbreaking, in a way that greatly influences society. Masterpieces come in many varieties and forms such as art pieces, music, and architecture. One of the greatest masterpieces of the Middle Ages, and one that is still standing today, is the Ely Cathedral. Ely Cathedral s construction began in 1082 and took about three hundred years to be completed (Clark, William W.). The ruling class of the day, consisting of kings, queens and their courts, was deeply intertwined with the Catholic Church. Etheldreda, queen of East Angles who later became a nun, founded a monastery in 673 on the grounds that would later become Ely Cathedral. Upon her death and elevation to sainthood she was enshrined where Ely Cathedral would later rise from the place of the former monastery at the decree of the Bishop of Bangor. The bishops of the Middle Ages held high social status and had great influence because of the high roles they held in the state. They were thus able to spend much of the church s wealth in and around the region of Ely on the creation and construction of Ely Cathedral (Burton, Edwin). This spending greatly led to the birth of Ely Cathedral as a social priority. This priority took the form of a broadening of the social structure that included new trades such as stone cutting, masonry and other forms of skilled labor that led to artistic endeavors such as sculpting and painting all directly impacted by cathedral building ( Cathedral Building in the Middle Ages ). Held in very high spiritual and social regard, the cathedrals throughout Europe, including Ely, commanded a kind of reverence that lasted for hundreds of years much as the Catholic Church had before the church gradually began to lose hold of its dominance as the Renaissance began to flourish. Once the Renaissance took hold many cathedrals, including Ely, were diminished in influence and even damaged or destroyed. Ely, however, withstood time ( The Cathedrals of ... Post Retirement Issues Experienced By Athletes Essay The previous sections highlighted post retirement issues experienced by athletes, (i.e., hardships, future concerns, identity issues, career planning decisions, etc.). To summarize, the literature has consistently supported that most athletes struggle with retirement (Warriner Lavallee, 2008; McGannon Mauws, 2000; Reifsteck, 2011), and that athletes who are forced to retire may experience more transition related difficulties than those who are not (Lavallee, Gordon, Grove, 1997; Heird Stienfeldt, 2013). Since the average age of athletic retirement is 33 years old (Hadavi, 2011), most retired athletes are required to obtain a new occupation; however, most athletes have difficulty obtaining a job or feeling competent once they find a job (Stephan, Bilard, Ninot, Deligniers, 2003). The elements that create what it means to be emotionally intelligent are incorporated to the figurative language, satire. Many comedians are using satire to expose flaws and criticize the political system. Trevor Noah, a satirist, is a good example of how satire works in comedy and how the audience reacts to it. The use of satire is so effective when it is incorporated in comedy since it has the ability to challenge authority and have political influence. First of all, the only difference between satire and criticism is that satire is implied and not overtly stated. Satire is a form of being able to indicate human behavior disobedience and social resistance. It derives from the Latin word satura meaning the involvement of basic principles of stage show to the introduction of formal Latin comedy. Which is why satire is used mainly from comedians. It also communicated in literature, internet, comics and cartoons. Comedians expose most of work through the form of satire because it is a way to alert people by grabbing their attention to something that they can laugh about instead of getting serious about it. The main themes of Wesley s theology are based on his letters, diaries, and journal. These memorabilia reveal a rich collection of insights about John Wesley s viewpoints of Christianity, his personal life and activities, and the origin and development of the early Methodist movement and its mission. After examining the corpus of Wesley, Albert Outler, a 20th century American Methodist theologian and philosopher, coined the phrase Wesleyan Quadrilateral. The Wesleyan Quadrilateral affirms four valid sources of theology: scripture, reason, tradition and experience. Scripture is considered the primary source and standard for Christian doctrine. These residents were bathing and drinking from this water before the founding of high lead levels in it. Not only was it because of the high lead levels, but the pipes were very old as well. Due to actions made by the city council this caused a lot of problems for the residents in the city of Flint. This effected children, pregnant women, and the elderly the most. Many lawsuits were filed against the city of Flint. It was so serious to the point that Governor Snyder had to declare a state of emergency. This took place January 5th of 2016. The Differences Of Alexander Hamilton And Thomas Jeffersons Like many in their time, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were friends and on the same side to absolve colonial ties with Great Britain. But once the war was over and independence was documented in the Treaty of Paris, the new business of creating a new nation was at hand. During this time, it became apparent that those who shared the same side during the revolution would now find themselves at odds with one another. Both men had visions and desires for the new nation. However, nearly one hundred years later and following the civil war, one vision in particular, was closer to reality than the other. Both of these men were fundamental in the birth of this nation, but their views on government, economics, and politics differ substantially. Economically speaking, Hamilton wanted a growing and thriving society based on trade and large manufacturing companies. In contrast, Jefferson envisioned a society that was based mainly on the presence of many small farmers. Jefferson particularly did not want large amounts of manufacturing to be done in the US. He argued that manufactured goods could be imported from Europe, while the US could remain primarily agrarian. During the Reconstruction period, the South went through a major reconstruction and rebuilding phase. Although farming was still a large part of the economy, large manufacturing facilities emerged as well. The increase in large manufacturing facilities and international trade mirrored the vision of Hamilton much more so than Jefferson s. Jefferson and Hamilton differed widely in their views of politics and the structure of society. Jefferson envisioned an egalitarian country vs Hamilton s aspirations of a more stratified society. Jefferson wanted pure equality for everyone regardless of social, economic, or background. In contrast, Hamilton wanted a growing manufacturing society were owners of factories and large industries were politically more powerful than the people that worked for them. We are mother or prostitute determinate on man s need. She also argued that man s libido is another name for the abstraction of energy in a productive power (806). The Roman Catholic Church did not accept the gay lifestyle at the time when the article had to be published, so it was expected that they will censor it. While the Church argues for God s perfection, I would argue that the rules they follow are their own, and I would point out the contradiction in their own rules. In the case of homosexuality, the Church states that they are against homosexuality. On the other hand, the Church promotes love and compassion for all living beings (Herek, 1987). Homosexuals are living beings, so it is not possible to promote love for living beings and prejudice against homosexuals at the same time, and the argument imposed by the Church displays a deductive fallacy. • 24. Biblical Theme Of The Old Testament V. New Testament Thematic Biblical Theme An Analysis of Son of Man perceptions in the Old Testament v. New Testament Alejandro Londono (Professor) (University) 6 Nov 2014 The term Son of Man is translated differently by the prophets, apostles, and people of the Old Testament when compared to how the term is viewed in the New Testament. In analyzing how the terms are perceived during these times, it becomes possible to trace the theme of the Son of Man, and how it was viewed in the Old Testament, to how the Son of Man has been viewed in the New Testament. In observing these differences, one can clearly see the term had similar meanings, but was represented in a different fashion, depending on the peoples and circumstances of the time period. In analyzing these occasions in which the term Son of Man is used throughout the two testaments, it will become clear as to their intended, and actual interpretations. In the Old Testament, it is Ezekiel who is the protagonist, in a sense. This becomes apparent, because Ezekiel plays such a vital role to the message behind the books of the Old Testament. Ezekiel was a man as God had intended, and can also be viewed as the coming savior in the Old Testament (Morris Henry, Ph.D., 1 3). The story questions the definition of a hero and their limitations. The graphic novel breaks down the genre by focusing on characters who only appear as heroes. The idea of vigilantism, violence, sense of justice, and gender are all examined in the lens of this apocalyptic and utopian world. When we think of superheroes, who do we normally picture? Most of us will probably think of Superman who embodies the traits of a hero and even has the word super in his name. These superheroes that we think of are often symbols of power, justice, and freedom. Although not all heroes have these attributes, one of the key aspects of being a hero is their virtue. These heroes were created with an immense sense of morality. Particularly, Watchmen reverses this moral belief. It is consistently reminding us that in a real world with actual people that they will make mistakes or considered as villains. • 26. The Importance of Dna Evidence The Importance of DNA Evidence What is DNA? Is it these winding strands that look like ladders or is it what gives a person blonde hair and blue eyes? Actually, DNA is both of these things. DNA is a person s genetic makeup their hereditary blueprint passed on by their parents. It is a part of almost every cell in the human body. In each cell, a person s DNA is the same; it stays the same throughout their lifetime. DNA is found in skin tissue, sweat, bone, the root and shaft of hair, earwax, mucus, urine, semen, and vaginal or rectal cells. The DNA found in a person s saliva is the same as the DNA found in their blood. Parts of the DNA determine our physical characteristics, such as eye and hair color, height, and bone structure, but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Every State in the Nation has a DNA database that allows for the collection of DNA profiles from offenders convicted of particular crimes. CODIS software enables State, local, and national law enforcement crime laboratories to compare DNA profiles electronically, thereby linking serial crimes to each other and identifying suspects by matching DNA profiles from crime scenes with profiles from convicted offenders. The success of CODIS is demonstrated by the thousands of matches that have linked serial cases to each other and cases that have been solved by matching crime scene evidence to known convicted offenders. Recent advancements in DNA technology have improved law enforcement s ability to use DNA to solve old cases. Original forensic applications of DNA analysis were developed using a technology called restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). Although very old cases (more than 10 years) may not have had RFLP analysis done, this kind of DNA testing may have been attempted on more recent unsolved cases. However, because RFLP analysis required a relatively large quantity of DNA, testing may not have been successful. Similarly, biological evidence deemed insufficient in size for testing may not have been previously submitted for testing. Also, if a biological sample was degraded by environmental factors such as dirt or mold, RFLP analysis may have been unsuccessful at yielding a result (Turman). • 27. How Technology Has Changed the Accounting Profession 1. Introduction Thirty years ago, most financial accounting was done manually, leading to a great deal of paperwork. Currently, most accounting information is recorded via computers and wide area networks (Journal of Accountancy, 1994a). Technology has certainly changed the face of accounting over the years. While it is unclear whether technology s impact on accounting has been positive or negative, it is clear that technology has drastically changed the accounting profession. Often a technological advance may be an asset to a business, but a liability to the firm s accountant. For example, information can be provided in a timely and more accurate manner, but at the price of confidentiality. Some of the impacts of technology are neither ... Users of this recent development in technology range from the smallest proprietorships to the largest of corporations. Expert systems are a type of artificial intelligence that assists accountants in their decision making (Journal of Accountancy, 1996). These systems are especially useful in both auditing and tax decision making but can be developed to aid users in many different areas including inventory control and financial statement preparation ( Pincus and Accounting). A software company called Intuit recently developed a program called Quicken 4 for Windows. This software provides accountants with on line documentation, multimedia tutorials, and even interactive advice from financial experts ( Byte, 1995). Visual Accountmate developed a program called Manufactures Inventory that posts the goods to the appropriate accounts as the inventories move through the manufacturing process. For the small privately owned business, Windows 95 has developed a program that helps accountants to develop financial statements by presenting a series of specific questions ( Accounting Technology, 1997). Most famous for his role as the ridiculous pirate captain Jack Sparrow, form Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp is also widely known for a number of other interesting characters in a number of other interesting shows, one of his earliest being Edward Scissorhands, in Edward Scissorhands (1990). The expansion of Depp s use of physical movement is tremendous between Edward Scissor hands ad Pirates of the Caribbean. And though they both differ tremendously in personality and physicality, they still maintain the wacky persona that is so characteristic of Johnny Depp. First let us analyze whether or not Depp centers each character. Although he stands erect, he stands with his head pulled back and his back very stiff, and his adds to the bizarreness of his strange character. Who stands like that? No one. It is interesting how just a little abnormality in posture can bring out abnormality in the entire character. India s Opinion On Indian Theatre The aim of this essay is to explore how Indian theatre has developed within Britain, society s opinion on Indian performers in theatre and how it is now becoming more acceptable and respected in modern day British theatre. It is very clear that ethnical established ways of thinking have always been challenged in Indian theatreperformance for several reasons. These consist of the disadvantages faced by the ethnic groups on the British stage, the use of Indian languages, and how Indian Theatre is looked upon by audiences Indian and non Indian. Tara Arts Theatre Company will be used as a case study throughout this essay. Firstly, in the report from, The Arts Britain Ignores it is highlighted that the historical disadvantages faced by ethnic minority arts... These boundaries all lead up to Tara Arts Theatre Company. The birth of Tara Arts was created when a male Asian youth called Gurdip Singh Chaggar was killed in a racial responsive attack. Self reported data is very beneficial to researchers in that it allows them to gain knowledge only known by the individual. According to the survey, people who score higher in the suburbanite dimension live a more conventional life style and tend to be more family oriented and conservative than those who score lower. I agree with this score. I tend to be more of a homebody and I enjoy cooking, which is a sign of a suburbanite. I scored 2 out of 13 in the cultured dimension which I disagree with. The interpretation of my low cultured score contradicts the interpretation of my low slacker score. Cultured people try to better the world around them by attending museums, volunteering, and writing letters. People who score low in this dimension as I did, are assumed to be the kind of people who eat too much junk food and watch too much TV. The discrepancy probably arose due to my introversion tendencies, as cultured people are purportedly expressive and vocal. I scored low, 3 out of 13, in the slacker dimension. I apparently relate better to other humans than I do to computers, and I know that smoking and drinking in excess are bad for my health. People who score high in the slacker dimension live unhealthy lifestyles, characterized by their excessive use of TV, fast food, smoking, and drinking habits. I agree with my slacker score, but this assessment of my personality in the slacker dimension directly contradicts the assessment in the cultured dimension.
