The Pathophysiology Of Pina Ossicles
1.Pinna
Pinna is the outer ear it is made of cartilage that have a ridged surface. The main purpose of the pinna
is that; it funnels sound into the external auditory canal. This sound wave then hits the tympanic
membrane (Mohua, 2016).
2. External Auditory Canal
The auditory canal is the tube like structure just before the tympanic membrane. The task of the
auditory canal is to transport sound waves to the tympanic membrane (Mohua, 2016).
3.4.9. Ossicles
The ossicles are three little bones, which are located in the middle ear. The names of the bones are in
order; first is the malleus this bone is attached to the tympanic membrane. Next is the incus this the
second bone and is attached to the malleus. Last but not least the stapes is after the malleus but before
the oval window (Debara, T.I 2016). The main role for the ossicles are that they receive vibrations
from the tympanic membrane. When the ossicles receives the vibrations they then amplify
automatically; enabling them to transmit these vibrations to the oval window (Debara, T.I 2016). ...

Essay On My Brother Sam Is Dead
War: The Real Price To Be Paid In war the dead pay the debts for the living, (Collier and Collier 167).
The real cost of war is so great that the thought of paying the price is rather unfathomable. In My
Brother Sam Is Dead by James Lincoln Collier and Christopher Collier we get a glimpse into the lives
of not only the Meekers but the people of their town and we observe the price they paid for one of the
biggest and most powerful wars of our American history, The American Revolution. In this historical
fiction, Tim Meeker must choose whether he wants to be a loyal subject to the king of England or a
rebellious and freedom yearning American Patriot like his role model and brother, Sam Meeker. By 13
year old Tim Meeker and ten year old ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Something as simple as perspective among Eliphalet and Sam tears the Meeker family apart. In My
Brother Sam Is Dead by Collier and Collier talk about how people of all ages fought in the war. Yale
students did rush away to get weapons and join the war in 1775. (Collier and Collier 214). Sam was
one of those Yale students who went to fight and among him, as explained in the previous quote, were
many others. Although Sam thought highly of leaving school to fight Eliphalet Meeker felt otherwise.
Eliphalet Meeker says to Sam, Now take off that uniform and go back to your studies. We also see a
clash of generations with the adults in Redding who are also against war. Mr. Beach, the Pastor of the
Anglican church in Redding, says, God meant man to obey. He meant children to obey their fathers,
he meant men to obey their kings. The constant argument between the generations is whether or not
the younger generations should even have any input when it came to the war. This constant clash of
generations was not only causing issues between Loyalists and Patriots but also causing problems
between the generations that comprise each side.
In My Brother Sam Is Dead by Collier and Collier the general argument between Eliphalet and Sam
has to do with Sam ideals of war and Eliphalet s realities of war. Sam says, It s not the money, it s the
principle. (Collier and Collier 21). Sam fights for his principle of freedom and the glory of war.

Samuel Clemens/Mark Twain
1835 1910
Samuel Clemens was born on November 30, 1835 in Florida, Missouri, the sixth of seven children. At
the age of four, Sam and his family moved to the small frontier town of Hannibal, Missouri on the
banks of the Mississippi River. Missouri, at the time, was a fairly new state (it had gained statehood in
1820) and comprised part of the country s western border. It was also a slave state. Sam s father
owned one slave and his uncle owned several. In fact, it was on his uncle s farm that Sam spent many
boyhood summers playing in the slave quarters, listening to tall tales and the slave spirituals that he
would enjoy throughout his life.
In 1847, when Sam was 11, his father died. Shortly thereafter he left ... Show more content on

His writings were so popular that, upon his return, he embarked upon his first lecture tour, which
established him as a successful stage performer.
Hired by the Alta California to continue his travel writing from the east, Sam arrived in New York
City in 1867. He quickly signed up for a steamship tour of Europe and the Holy Land. His travel
letters, full of vivid descriptions and tongue in cheek observations, met with such audience approval
that they were later reworked into his first book, The Innocents Abroad in 1869. It was also on this trip
that Clemens met his future brother in law, Charles Langdon. Langdon reportedly showed Sam a
picture of his sister, Olivia, and Sam fell in love at first sight.
After courting for two years, Sam Clemens and Olivia (Livy) Langdon were married in 1870. They
settled in Buffalo, New York where Sam had become a partner, editor and writer for the daily
newspaper the Buffalo Express. While living in Buffalo, their first child, Langdon Clemens was born.
In an effort to be closer to his publisher, Sam moved his family to Hartford, Connecticut in 1871. For
the first few years the Clemenses rented a house in the heart of Nook Farm, a residential area that was
home to numerous writers, publishers and other prominent figures. In 1872, Sam s recollections and
tall tales from his frontier adventures were published in his book, Roughing It. That same

Wifi in Corporate Environments
Robby Miller
Mr. Carroll
NT1210 / Fri. Night
Wi Fi in the Corporate Environment Business is much different today than it has ever been. The
strategies incorporated in the success of a business can be quite complicated and requires more than
just a man or woman with a dream. Success in business is now reliant on the connectivity of their
business to their local area, as well as, the global market place. Wireless connectivity (Wi Fi) in the
corporate environment is making this possible and beyond possible as it improves. In this paper we
will see some pro s and con s of wireless connectivity in the corporate environment. Corporations are
looking to go wireless for many different reasons. These range from having less wire to ... Show more

This is a red flag and a green flag at the same time. If AT amp;T is charging for data and making
money, then the trend of provider s charging for data could take off and cause inflation of wireless
connectivity. The upside could be that user s jump ship and begin using other providers instead of one
or two major providers. AT amp;T charging for data is scary too, since it could flag that they are
reaching the limits of their bandwidth capabilities. It could be safe to say, AT amp;T has just figured
out a way to make more money without introducing new and innovative technology. In conclusion, the
use of wireless technology in the corporate environment is taking off. It seems from the research I
have done that companies are excited about the progress being made in wireless connectivity. Wi Fi is
the future for businesses. As more and more companies have traveling employees and work at home
employees the demand will grow for wireless connectivity. Productive mobility is where the corporate
environment has come and will continue to go.

Friday Night Light Comparison
The main characters in The Rules of the Game by Amy Tan and Friday Night Lights by H.G.
Bissinger, Waverly and Don are expected by their parents to do better than they did when they were
their age. There is a central idea of parental expectations developed by Waverly s Chess playing and
Don s football playing abilities. Although both characters participate in different activities, they are
both expected by their parents to do things in the same manner. The story The Rules of the Game
shows how Waverly s ability to play Chess well increases her mother s expectations throughout the
story. In the beginning Waverly wanted to play chess so much so that she was begging her brothers to

Good Will Hunting is a movie about a troubled young man abandoned by his parents only to be
severely abused by the foster parents entrusted to care for him. Due to his tormented childhood he
finds himself a young man unable to trust most people besides a few close friends. His prospects for a
future out of dead end jobs, in his poverty stricken neighborhood, seem slim. Despite being a natural

a janitorial position at MIT that a Field s Medal winning professor discovers Will s mathematical

questionable, it s unsure if the professor wants to manipulate Sean for his own good or even live

Should Books Be Banned
Almost everything in our world is censored. Movies, TV, video games and even the music we listen
to. Most people know that books are banned from schools but, people seem to overlook the fact that
books have been banned in countries, especially the middle east.
Should books be rated using some type of appropriateness scale? Would such a system be an
inappropriate type of censorship? To properly answer this question we need to understand what
censorship is. Oxford Dictionaries defines censorship as The suppression or prohibition of any parts of
books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. (
). Basically all that means is to remove or otherwise alter sections of media that are considered
confirmatory to social norms. In my opinion books should not be rated on some sort of
appropriateness scale that is currently set up. This feels like an inappropriate form of censorship for a
form of media such as a book. One reason I believe this to be true is that not unlike in other forms of
media, the rating system would be one size fits all. This doesn t translate well into the world of books.
Books are so diverse and so ranging in ideas and mentality that a rating system for them would be
arbitrary. Everyone s mind develops at a different rate. Even when you are the same age your level of
maturity can be drastically different person to person. So a if a book is banned because, a select few

A Research Study On Forensic Psychology
Through the submission of my statement I am willing to share my personal abilities, declare my
academic competence and provide motives and causes which led me to pursue a Postgraduate degree
in the field of Forensic Psychology. Obtaining a PsyD in Forensic Psychology will not only provide
me with more specific knowledge and research opportunities at the graduate level, but it will serve as
a foundation for a career in Psychology.
The reason which led me to apply for a DForPsy degree in Nottingham university rather than a Ph.D.
is mostly because I m particularly interested in practising psychology rather than exclusively
conducting research and work in academia. However, the fact that the top up programme in Forensic
Psychology is focused on clinical skills but also placed an emphasis on research it provides me with
the advantage of flexibility in my future career.
A particularly important factor in choosing this career path has been my undergraduate experience
when under my dissertation I conducted a study in the field of cyberbullying assessing the
psychological characteristics of perpetrators and victims within a sample of 453 junior high school
students. This gave me the chance to contribute in teaching about cyberbullying in an audience of
students, parents and teachers. During this experience I was required to take an active leadership role
in terms of preparing lecture materials, providing a series of certain lectures for the public and

The Health Status Of The United States
The health status of the population in the United States is a national priority. The Healthy People 2020
outlines priorities and to improve the health of individuals and communities across the country.
Healthy People 2020 is defined as a comprehensive set of national objectives for improving the health
of all Americans (Healthy People 2020, n.d, para. 1). The Healthy people 2020, is aimed at improving
the health of individuals and communities and envisions a society in which all people live long,
healthy lives (Healthy People 2020, n.d, para 4). A short priority list was developed and contains
twenty six objectives knowns as Leading Health Indicators (LHI). The list of objectives was created to
prioritize health issues that must be addressed and to find appropriate actions to take in order to
improve the health of the population.
During the evaluation of the objectives in the (LHI) and the analysis of the perceived health of the
community, three key factors were identified as potential health problems including children exposure
to a second hand smoke, obesity among adults, and limited access to dental care. The identification of
the LHI perceived as problems was based on personal observation and perception from community
members.
An observation was made during It is not uncommon in the community to observe drivers smoking

Good Versus Evil In Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This...
Emma Begley Wilson Pre Ap Ela 09 October 2017 Something Wicked This Way Comes Have you
ever had a feeling someone or something is coming well in the novel Something Wicked This Way
Comes by Ray Bradbury this is what happens. In a little town called Green Town, Illinois two boys get
approached by a man holding a stick and the boys get persuaded about this stick. The man tells them
that it keeps lightening away and one boy falls for it while the one does not. As the story progresses
the theme Good versus Evil really becomes apparent to the reader. This is supported by the title, the
time, and the characters. The theme of this text is good versus evil. This novel has many different
components to support the theme. The title of the novel even supports this theme because it is
implying that something evil is coming and the good in the world is going to be attacked. As the story
develops the characters and the setting helps develop the theme. The Freaks and its carnival really
help you get the idea that evil is not really a feeling or action but more of a figure or form because the
carnival is all evil. He wanted to be near and not near them, he saw them close, he saw them far.
Suddenly they were awfully small in too large a room in too big a town and much too huge a world. In

Similarities Between Metropolis And Dystopiar Cities
MODULE : METROPOLIS AND NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR ESSAY Dystopian societies illustrate
how historical contexts can influence the political and social values of the time, exploring the extent of
the potential for exploitation of power. Fritz Lang s German expressionist film, Metropolis (1927) and
George Orwell s satirical novel Nineteen Eighty Four (1949) dramatise the impact of oppressive
controlling forces upon the individual illustrating an abuse of power, emphasising the potential of its
exploitation of the populist. Lang reflects the anxieties of the Weimar Republic, under the
hyperinflation after World War I, highlighting the consequences of rapid industrialisation and the
subsequent disunity between the working and upper classes, whilst ... Show more content on

This expresses the reality of post World War I as the film s introductory sequence draws upon German
Expressionist elements presenting a low angle of towering skyscrapers in Bauhaus design and abstract
machinery. This artistic vivid and opulent setting contrasts with extreme close up of machines
suggesting the collective power of movement parallel to the workers, as they operate machinery
beneath the city in synchronicity. This disparity creates a defined hierarchical structure that juxtaposes
the heightened sense of power experienced by the ruling elite with the worker s sense of loss of
identity in the face of technological expansion. This extreme dichotomy exposes the innate fear of
abuse of power within a capitalist framework as audiences perceived the potential of conformity to a
totalitarian corporation, leading to dehumanisation of humanity. Further explored in the creation
scene, the political perspective reveals how the over development of technology for progress,
consequently results in abuse of power. This is developed as the machine man is displayed in a low
angle shot underneath upside down pentagram, the religious motif symbolic of how Rotwang proves
to be usurping the powers of god, emphasising that through the abuse of power, technology has the
ability to create a loss of identity leading to dehumanisation. Through the technological expansion
made apparent through Lang s dystopic world the potential of the exploitation of power is

The Threat Of Network Security
There are threats to network security that can compromise your computer systems. Viruses are one of
the top security threats in the technology industry. A virus is a program or a code that is loaded into
your computer system without your knowledge will run against your wishes (Beal, n.d). Viruses can
also replicate themselves. All computer viruses are manmade and a virus can make a copy of itself
several times and easy to create (Beal, n.d). Mark Vernon wrote that 72% of all companies have
received infected e mails or files last year and for larger companies the percentage was 83% (Vernon,
2004). The top viruses in malignancy are Worms and Trojan Horses (Vernon, 2004). Another threat to
network security is malware. Malware (malicious software) is a annoying or harmful type of software
that is intended to secretly access a device without a user s knowledge. There are different types of
malware, which include spyware, phishing, viruses, adware, Trojan horses, worms, ransomware,
rootkits, and browser hijackers ( What is Malware and how to remove it | Cyber security, n.d.).
Malware gets access to your device through the internet, email, hacked websites, toolbars, music files,
free subscriptions, toolbars and anything downloaded from the web ( What is Malware and how to
remove it | Cyber security, n.d.). Spam is also another threat to network security. Spam is a unsolicited
message that advertises a service or product. Spammers target email accounts but can also be found on

Inequality Between The Authoritarian Teacher And Students
2.22 Inequality of Intelligence
The hierarchical power relationship between the authoritarian teacher and students inherently stands in
opposition to the equality of intelligence. Probing further in the direction of intelligence, authority is
constructed on the ground of a certain form of inequality between who is intelligent and who is not
(Tocqueville et al., 2000). This premise of inequality in intelligence is enacted throughout the
educational process in traditional teaching. According to Rancière (1991), the pedagogical myth
divides intelligence into two, a superior intelligence and an inferior one (p.7). The superior
intelligence knows things by reason, proceeds by method, from the simple to the complex, from the
part to the whole , whereas the inferior intelligence registers perceptions by chance, retains them,
interprets and repeats them empirically, within the closed circle of habit and need (ibid.). An
authoritarian teacher may take this binary conception of intelligence for granted, maintaining that s/he
has a superior intelligence while students have an inferior one. S/he is likely to present him/herself as
the necessary opposite of the students. By considering the students as less intelligent beings with
immature minds, s/he claims his or her own superior intelligence: s/he is the one being capable of
opening the curtains that hide the true meaning of the knowledge. S/he attempts to convince his or her
students that s/he has direct access to the knowledge.

Captain Toad Essay
The bite sized Captain Toad stages in Super Mario 3D World were a wonderful side dish, offering a
very different type of challenge from the rest of the game. Little did we know at the time that the
compact, puzzle like levels would eventually find new life in a full fledged game, Captain Toad:
Treasure Tracker. Now, Captain Toad and Toadette, his partner in plunder, have hit the road on a quest
of their own, and it s one of the most charming and enjoyable games to grace the Wii U. The two tiny

occasionally to rescue each other from danger. While it has a gleeful exterior, Captain Toad: Treasure
Tracker s also a deceptively challenging romp, especially if you attempt to uncover all of the game s

The Toads outing is distinct from other adventures in the Mario universe for many reasons, but one in
particular stands out: their abilities are pared down to the basics. They can t jump, and they don t take

My Porch Description
There was a tiny home invader on my porch. I came home from school to find a very large and
intimidating spider spinning a web on the side of my porch. Naturally, I quickly ran inside, i was about
to get a tissue to deposit it far, far away, from anywhere near me, but I stopped. Why was there a large
spider on my porch? It was just sitting along the side of it, completely exposed. It was probably a good
place to catch flies since it was near the trash can, but it was left completely exposed. The side of my
back porch was right by the door to go inside, Wouldn t it build a web somewhere safer? Why here?
Curious, I went out to look again, staying well apart in case it tried to jump. The web stood out, a
gossamer orb against the pale yellow of my porch. In the center the spider a she, I suppose rested. ...

The War Powers Resolution Of 1973
Who has the power to go to war? Most people would say the President while others would say
Congress. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 may shine some light on who or whom can declare
war. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 also know simple as the War Powers Act states the President
must notify Congress within a 48 hour time frame that he is sending troops into military combat. The
act does not allow military solders from remaining in a state of conflict for more than 60 days. After
60 days the President must ask Congress again for authorization. The act was made to restrain the
President strength to send U.S. military overseas by requiring the executive branch to discuss with
Congress before involving U.S. troops in overseas combat. Before the Wars Power Act the
Constitution was used to see who could declare war however it was contradictory. In Article I of The
Constitution the power to declare war as well as have the power to raise an army and navy, and fund
war efforts was given to Congress however in Article III of The Constitution the President is named
Commander In Chief of the armed forces. It is meant to control the Presidents power over the U.S.
armed forces because it requires him to have Congress consent. The War Powers Act was also made to
avoid another Vietnam mishap where Nixon secretly sent U.S. troop to invade Cambodia which
caused public rage against an invasion of a neutral country. If you were told you told you had to ask

Effects Of Social Media On Mental Health
Effects of social media on mental health Overview Social media is described, by the Merriam Webster
dictionary (2015), as forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and
microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal
messages, and other content (as videos) . As few as 10 years ago the term social media was yet to be
coined, but within that decade the use of these blogs, websites and sharing platforms has increased
exponentially with no plateau in sight. From creating Instagram accounts for household pets, to
sharing Halloween themed baking ideas over Pinterest, people today have access to social media
outlets for almost everything. Today about 74% of people ages 18 65 use some form of a social
networking site (Pew, 2014). Facebook takes the lead in social media usage with about 71% of those
adults. LinkedIn and Pinterest are tied for second at 28% of users, 26% use Instagram, and Twitter
falls last in the top 5 most used social medias with 23% of users (Pew, 2014). In September of 2013
the Pew Research Center measured that 90% of adults ages 18 29 used these social media outlets on a
daily basis, which is an astonishing increase from the 9% that was measured in February 2005 (Pew,
2014). Due to the fact that young adults are increasingly involving themselves in these online
platforms, it is very important to understand the long term and psychological effects (such as

UNESCO, biosphere reserves are sites of excellence where new and optimal practices to manage
nature and human activities are tested and demonstrated . However when an individual s actions are
expected to negatively impact the Niagara Escarpment, limitations must be imposed on the individual
in order to preserve the biosphere for the greater good of the world. Humans must respect and follow
the regulations of an UNESCO biosphere reserve in order to maintain it. Before one looks to expand
on the Niagara Escarpment, economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors should be
considered.
Economically, new land expansion is always viewed as beneficial. When companies or industries look
to build new factories or houses, their end goal is always to make a profit. However, individual
advancement in this case has to be sacrificed for the greater good of the rest of the stakeholders. For
example, mining industries and residential lots

The Opening Of The Imperial Ballet School
After the Romantic era ballet had died out in Paris and Russia became the new focus. In 1738, the
opening of the Imperial Ballet School in St. Petersburg attracted many great dancers and
choreographers such as Marie Taglioni. This school was controlled by an aristocrat named Czar. The
most well known 19th century choreographer, Marius Petipa, became the ballet master of the entire
school, shaping imperial and classical ballet. Ideas such as increased focus on technique, formulaic
choreography, mime and gesture, and lengthy ballets can be seen in Petipa s most famous ballets.
These famous ballets include The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In the 20th
century, Sergei Diaghilev introduced a traveling ballet company called Ballet Russes. Starting out in
Paris, this company brings together Russian and Western ideas with a spark of modernism. This
company brought together revolutionary collaborations between choreographers, dancers, composers,
artists, and fashion designers. Through the development of Russian ballet, there has been rejection and
embracement as well as changes in structure and choreography. Ballet master Marius Petipa moved to
Russia because he felt hidden in the shadows of his more famous brother Lucien Petipa. For three
decades, he was the ballet master of the Imperial Ballet School creating lavish, extravagant ballets
unlike the previous Romantic era had. Petipa had some new ideas for the ballet. For example,

Mario Milkuliencer s Trouble With Trust
Trust can be a controversial topic for many, however the natural positive vibe that humans receive
from the word tends to override any reservations of it. According to the online Merriam Webster
Dictionary, trust requires assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or
something. In today s society trust is slowly starting to disintegrate with the lack of face to face
communication within the age of electronic communication. Because of this we have the inability to
trust others as it starts to develop into trust issues, especially among the younger generation from the
lack of physical connection among individuals. The first foundation that comes with developing trust
is reliability. Possessing reliability in someone or something is important to begin a relationship.
According, to Mario Milkuliencer in the online article Trouble With Trust by Psychology Today there
are three basic foundations. The first one is to have the assumption that if you need a help you can turn
to someone you trust. The second foundation is to have an assumption that your closest companion
will always be there for you. The third and final foundation explains recognition that ... Show more

Having forgiveness in someone can show that your strength can outshine the darkest corners of the

So when you trust someone you don t trust their toned muscles and toned bodies on the outside, the
most important muscle you trust that you cannot perceive with your own eyes but with your own

My Experience At The Age Of Five
At the age of five, I experienced my first dentistry. As they d work on my teeth I would ask question
like What is that? , What does it do? This experience did not only trigger my career goal but made me
who I am. After my first experience I loved looking at people smile and going to the dentist every
month. I was bullied at the age of six for this very reason. As I grew older I developed three missions
in life. One, to finish school and earn my high school degree, two to start college , and three to earn
my degree and start working as a dentist. Soon these missions became goals. After I finished high
school I set new missions: one to start college, two to earn my Bachelor s degree and my doctoral
degree and three to get a good score on my Dental Acceptance test.
After I finished high school, I started to search for community college with dental classes. That s when
I heard of Tarrant County College (TCC) .I immediately ran to the school and applied as soon as
possible. After a month or so I got a letter allowing me to start college, as I read the words hope raised
up in my body. I asked my older sister Iftah, to help me get strategies for college because I was new to
the idea. During August, me and my sister Iftah created a strategy list. For me to be a dentist I first
need to complete a bachelor s degree. Getting a bachelor s required hard work and commitment.
Saying hard work did not mean just slacking off it meant I had to have good grades and a perfect
attendance.

The Political Terms Left And Right Were Devised During The...
The political terms left and right were devised during the French revolution to describe the seating
arrangement in the British parliament. Those who sat on the left were generally opposed the monarchy
and supported the revolutions, while those on the right supported the traditional institutions of the
British Empire. It was during the nineteen century that the word wing began following the term left
and right, usually with weary intent. Those considered left wing were unorthodox in their religious or
political view
A radical ideology of the left is defined as political positions or activities that accepts or supports
social equality, often in opposition to social hierarchy and social inequality. Often those of left wing
ideology involve in concern for those in society who are perceived at a disadvantage relative to others
and a belief that there are unjustified inequalities that need to be reduced or abolished. They propose a
view of human beings living together harmoniously without great disparities in wealth or social
classes. On the other hand, those of the right wing radical ideology are political positions or activities
that view some forms of social inequality as either inevitable, natural, normal or desirable and
typically defend this position based on natural law, economics or traditions.
On radical ideology that might take place in the United States is capitalism. The capitalist theory isn t
a new one, rather it has been a part of the economic industries around the

Persuasive Essay About Soccer
Soccer, also known as football is a sport played by millions all around the world. This is not only a
sport, but an activity available to anyone that offers valuable life lessons to those who play. Lessons
and skills such as leadership and teamwork, determination, and friendships are a few that I have gotten
out of playing soccer. Many people view soccer as a waste of two and a half hours because the game
becomes repetitive and predictable. The start off of the game is as follows, one team starts with
possession of the ball with the intention is to score a goal, while keeping it away from the other team
and vice versa. Watching the sport may seem boring to those who do not play because they don t
understand it. People who don t play soccer do not realize the amount of time and effort it takes to
excel in this sport, which comes down to the time spent practicing and conditioning. The more hours
spent on footwork and physical conditioning, the better you become. This sport can be extremely
physical, but it is also a mental game. It is important to be in the right mental state during a game
because distraction in the head leads to mistakes on the field. A strong mental state is extremely
important in soccer, as well as every day. The ability to multitask proves to be an advantage in the
game; when a player has the ball, they need to continue to move, look for open teammates on the
field, and maneuver around the opposing team simultaneously. People who understand this sport can

Attitudes To The Situation Of African Americans Essay
Give an outline of the different attitudes to the situation of African Americans presented in text 1,2
and 3
When Barack Obama became president of the USA in 2009, many saw it as the final evidence of the
Americans being susceptible and with no sign of racial prejudice. Still many Afro Americans of the
late modern society discuss whether the discrimination has ceased, or is still alive and kicking. In this
essay, is a great example of some of the most common views on the equality between races in the
USA.
In text 1 Yolanda Young describes her optimism towards the development of Americans perception
towards Afro Americans. She has witnessed, that the towards her is much nicer since the presidential
election in 2009. Now she gets complimented and compared to the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Young stresses the fact that a view that has been there for decades isn t changed in a day. It s a
process. So when a survey concludes that 51% of the participants have a preference of white people, it
is good news for Young. Only because it s 29% less than the last survey. She values patience and has
high hopes for the next generation.
In text 2, Eric Holder thinks that a bigger knowledge of Black history, will bring the people of the
USA together. If the white Americans understand what the Afro Americans have been through, they
will according to Holder, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the black community is still under several challenges, especially in the USA, but it can t be nice for
any part, to be split up in races because of the discontent. Maybe if the population stood up together as
a community things would be better. And history is truly important, but not if it has these kinds of
consequences. In addition, I think that Yolanda Young has a good point, when she says that this
adaption is a process, much more than a sudden swung with a magic

Essay Muscular Dystrophy
Muscular Dystrophy
Scientists have been struggling with the cause, treatment of, and cure for Muscular dystrophy since its
discovery in 1886, by Dr. Guillaume Duchenne. Muscular dystrophy is a hereditary disease, affecting
thousands of people every year, two thirds being children between the age of birth through
adolescents. Muscular dystrophy can also occur with no family history of the disease.
Muscular dystrophy is a degenerating disease, in which the skeletal muscles degenerate, lose their
strength, and cause increasing disability and deformity. Muscles attached to the bones through tendons
are responsible for movement in the human body, however, in muscular dystrophy the muscles
become progressively weak. As the muscle fibers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boys begin to have difficulty sitting up and standing, weakness that progresses to muscles in the trunk
and shoulder, and later affecting the heart muscle. By the age of twenty years individuals affected with
Duchenne dystrophy die.
While there is no known cure, scientists are certain of the genetic make up that causes muscular
dystrophy, an inherited faulty gene. This gene can be inherited in one of four ways: X linked or sex
linked recessive, when a man with X Linked muscular dystrophy has children, Autosomal Recessive
Inheritance, and Autosomal Dominant Inheritance.
The mother, who is a carrier, inherits an X Linked or sex linked faulty gene. The result is producing an
affected son and or a daughter being a carrier. The second way is an affected male producing children,
particularly daughters. All daughters born to fathers with x linked muscular dystrophy will be carriers;
on the contrary their sons will be unaffected. Scientists link this to a genetic mutation in the gene,
appearing most often for the first time in a family.
Autosomal recessive inheritance is the third type known to cause muscular dystrophy, whereas both
parents are carriers of the defective gene. For this reason the offspring have a 25% chance of being
affected with both malformed genes, resulting in them being affected. The chance increases with
cousin marriages.

The Godfather, The Exorcist, And The Silence Of The Lambs
The Godfather, The Exorcist, and The Silence of the Lambs are three films that are often given the
title greatest of all time in their respective genre, for very good reason. Each film consists of scenes
that are crafted so unforgettably that the scenes leave each viewer with a sense of awe, shock, and
horror when each scene is carefully examined. The Godfather, distributed in 1972 by Paramount
Pictures, was directed by Francis Ford Coppola who in an interview said in regards to his filmmaking
that If you don t take a risk then how are you going to make something really beautiful, that hasn t
been seen before? (1). The Godfather certainly presented cinema with iconic and memorable scenes
that were both beautiful and never before seen largely due to the new and risky ways Francis Ford
Coppola presented The Godfather s narrative. Similarly, The Exorcist chilled the bones of audiences
everywhere by shocking the world with grueling demonic possession in a tangible way that had never
been presented before by cinema. The scenes in The Exorcist were particularly memorable because
the scenes resonated with a large majority of American audiences who came from religious
backgrounds where demonic possession is a sincere possibility; never before had a film brought
Americans face to face with The Devil, Hell, and sin by means of horror. Horror was also a key
element in Jonathan Demme s 1991 classic The Silence of the Lambs. Horror made each scene very
memorable, particularly when

College Readiness Theory Essay
The facets of college readiness theory also insists that taking action, as a student, through developing
American style learning skills and study methods, will assist Chinese international students in taking
control of their academic success. Such significant educational skills include practicing excellent time
management, taking notes effectively, taking information to memory, possessing sufficiently well
developed reading skills, and the ability to conduct teamwork should all be part of preemptive
academic training that can keep Chinese international students focused and on task. Conley (2015)
wrote that all of the aforementioned skills are dependent upon Chinese international students having
an excellent understanding of the capability needed to transition into an American university setting.

Jaws Movie Review Essay
I was 13 years old. I was glued to my seat from start to finish. I screamed, I jumped, I held my breath,
and much more. In my 13 years old body, there were so many experiences emotions. Jaws was
probably the first film where I completely forgot everything around me. If this movie scares you to the
point where you cannot go back to the water, then Spielberg has done a job well done.
First thing, Jaws is not only about a shark. It is a film that flipped the standards for what we expect
when we watch horror films. It is important to look at the opening titles of any film because the
openings give you an idea of what you ll see in the movie. The simplicity is what makes Jaws such a
great film. Spielberg is showing us how people react, and the emotional response we have as an
audience comes because we have empathy for the characters feelings.
It is important to understand the characters to understand the film. Spielberg spend over half of the
movie developing characters and conflict. At it makes the audience even more attached to the
character. The three main characters are Brody (Roy Scheider), the police chief, who came to the
island from new york. He is much a family man and his determination to protect his family is what
drives him to kill the beast aka jaws. There s Quint (Robert Shaw), much more of a flawed character

The Importance Of Motivation In Educational Psychology
Making connections to current knowledge as I learn new concepts.
Using reason to determine what notes to take in class.
Using memory and problem solving skills to determine a course of action regarding an assignment.
Processing information that is presented.
Analyzing and reorganizing notes that I took in class.
Observing different note taking techniques, processing that information, and eventually changing my
note taking behavior based on that knowledge.
Realizing that procrastination is causing me unnecessary stress and changing my behavior to eliminate
that stress.
Motivation can consist of internal and external motivators. Internal motivators are the more powerful
of the two because they are controllable and come from within.
Motivation is the reason why we decide to act and affects our behavior.
The field of Educational Psychology attempts to find effective methods for motivation to help
improve learning outcomes for students.
An example of this can be found in a journal article, in which researchers studied the effects on
students who were told stories of famous scientists failures, as opposed to those who were told stories
of famous scientists successes. This made the stories more relatable, thus improving the students
motivation (Lin Siegler, Ahn, Chen, Fang, Luna Lucero, 2016).
Envisioning a better future for my family because of my educational success.
Setting personal goals such as staying ahead of school assignments and striving to achieve said goals.

The main purpose of the pinna is that; it funnels sound into the external auditory canal. This sound wave then hits the tympanic membrane (Mohua, 2016). 2. The task of the auditory canal is to transport sound waves to the tympanic membrane (Mohua, 2016). 3.4.9. Ossicles The ossicles are three little bones, which are located in the middle ear. The real cost of war is so great that the thought of paying the price is rather unfathomable. In My Brother Sam Is Dead by James Lincoln Collier and Christopher Collier we get a glimpse into the lives of not only the Meekers but the people of their town and we observe the price they paid for one of the biggest and most powerful wars of our American history, The American Revolution. In this historical fiction, Tim Meeker must choose whether he wants to be a loyal subject to the king of England or a rebellious and freedom yearning American Patriot like his role model and brother, Sam Meeker. Sam was one of those Yale students who went to fight and among him, as explained in the previous quote, were many others. Although Sam thought highly of leaving school to fight Eliphalet Meeker felt otherwise. Eliphalet Meeker says to Sam, Now take off that uniform and go back to your studies. We also see a clash of generations with the adults in Redding who are also against war. Mr. Beach, the Pastor of the Anglican church in Redding, says, God meant man to obey. He meant children to obey their fathers, he meant men to obey their kings. The constant argument between the generations is whether or not the younger generations should even have any input when it came to the war. This constant clash of generations was not only causing issues between Loyalists and Patriots but also causing problems between the generations that comprise each side. In My Brother Sam Is Dead by Collier and Collier the general argument between Eliphalet and Sam has to do with Sam ideals of war and Eliphalet s realities of war. Sam says, It s not the money, it s the principle. (Collier and Collier 21). Sam fights for his principle of freedom and the glory of war. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At the age of four, Sam and his family moved to the small frontier town of Hannibal, Missouri on the banks of the Mississippi River. Missouri, at the time, was a fairly new state (it had gained statehood in 1820) and comprised part of the country s western border. It was also a slave state. Sam s father owned one slave and his uncle owned several. In fact, it was on his uncle s farm that Sam spent many boyhood summers playing in the slave quarters, listening to tall tales and the slave spirituals that he would enjoy throughout his life. His travel letters, full of vivid descriptions and tongue in cheek observations, met with such audience approval that they were later reworked into his first book, The Innocents Abroad in 1869. It was also on this trip that Clemens met his future brother in law, Charles Langdon. Langdon reportedly showed Sam a picture of his sister, Olivia, and Sam fell in love at first sight. After courting for two years, Sam Clemens and Olivia (Livy) Langdon were married in 1870. They settled in Buffalo, New York where Sam had become a partner, editor and writer for the daily newspaper the Buffalo Express. While living in Buffalo, their first child, Langdon Clemens was born. The strategies incorporated in the success of a business can be quite complicated and requires more than just a man or woman with a dream. Success in business is now reliant on the connectivity of their business to their local area, as well as, the global market place. Wireless connectivity (Wi Fi) in the corporate environment is making this possible and beyond possible as it improves. If AT amp;T is charging for data and making money, then the trend of provider s charging for data could take off and cause inflation of wireless connectivity. The upside could be that user s jump ship and begin using other providers instead of one or two major providers. AT amp;T charging for data is scary too, since it could flag that they are reaching the limits of their bandwidth capabilities. It could be safe to say, AT amp;T has just figured out a way to make more money without introducing new and innovative technology. In conclusion, the use of wireless technology in the corporate environment is taking off. It seems from the research I have done that companies are excited about the progress being made in wireless connectivity. Wi Fi is the future for businesses. • 8. Should Books Be Banned Almost everything in our world is censored. Movies, TV, video games and even the music we listen to. Most people know that books are banned from schools but, people seem to overlook the fact that books have been banned in countries, especially the middle east. Should books be rated using some type of appropriateness scale? Would such a system be an inappropriate type of censorship? To properly answer this question we need to understand what censorship is. Oxford Dictionaries defines censorship as The suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security. ( ). Basically all that means is to remove or otherwise alter sections of media that are considered confirmatory to social norms. In my opinion books should not be rated on some sort of appropriateness scale that is currently set up. This feels like an inappropriate form of censorship for a form of media such as a book. One reason I believe this to be true is that not unlike in other forms of media, the rating system would be one size fits all. This doesn t translate well into the world of books. Books are so diverse and so ranging in ideas and mentality that a rating system for them would be arbitrary. Everyone s mind develops at a different rate. Even when you are the same age your level of maturity can be drastically different person to person. So a if a book is banned because, a select few were offended by or otherwise ... A Research Study On Forensic Psychology Through the submission of my statement I am willing to share my personal abilities, declare my academic competence and provide motives and causes which led me to pursue a Postgraduate degree in the field of Forensic Psychology. Obtaining a PsyD in Forensic Psychology will not only provide me with more specific knowledge and research opportunities at the graduate level, but it will serve as a foundation for a career in Psychology. The reason which led me to apply for a DForPsy degree in Nottingham university rather than a Ph.D. is mostly because I m particularly interested in practising psychology rather than exclusively conducting research and work in academia. However, the fact that the top up programme in Forensic Psychology is focused on clinical skills but also placed an emphasis on research it provides me with the advantage of flexibility in my future career. A particularly important factor in choosing this career path has been my undergraduate experience when under my dissertation I conducted a study in the field of cyberbullying assessing the psychological characteristics of perpetrators and victims within a sample of 453 junior high school students. This gave me the chance to contribute in teaching about cyberbullying in an audience of students, parents and teachers. • 11. Good Versus Evil In Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This... Emma Begley Wilson Pre Ap Ela 09 October 2017 Something Wicked This Way Comes Have you ever had a feeling someone or something is coming well in the novel Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury this is what happens. In a little town called Green Town, Illinois two boys get approached by a man holding a stick and the boys get persuaded about this stick. The man tells them that it keeps lightening away and one boy falls for it while the one does not. As the story progresses the theme Good versus Evil really becomes apparent to the reader. This is supported by the title, the time, and the characters. The theme of this text is good versus evil. This novel has many different components to support the theme. The title of the novel even supports this theme because it is implying that something evil is coming and the good in the world is going to be attacked. As the story develops the characters and the setting helps develop the theme. The Freaks and its carnival really help you get the idea that evil is not really a feeling or action but more of a figure or form because the carnival is all evil. He wanted to be near and not near them, he saw them close, he saw them far. Suddenly they were awfully small in too large a room in too big a town and much too huge a world. Similarities Between Metropolis And Dystopiar Cities MODULE : METROPOLIS AND NINETEEN EIGHTY FOUR ESSAY Dystopian societies illustrate how historical contexts can influence the political and social values of the time, exploring the extent of the potential for exploitation of power. Fritz Lang s German expressionist film, Metropolis (1927) and George Orwell s satirical novel Nineteen Eighty Four (1949) dramatise the impact of oppressive controlling forces upon the individual illustrating an abuse of power, emphasising the potential of its exploitation of the populist. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This expresses the reality of post World War I as the film s introductory sequence draws upon German Expressionist elements presenting a low angle of towering skyscrapers in Bauhaus design and abstract machinery. This artistic vivid and opulent setting contrasts with extreme close up of machines suggesting the collective power of movement parallel to the workers, as they operate machinery beneath the city in synchronicity. This disparity creates a defined hierarchical structure that juxtaposes the heightened sense of power experienced by the ruling elite with the worker s sense of loss of identity in the face of technological expansion. This extreme dichotomy exposes the innate fear of abuse of power within a capitalist framework as audiences perceived the potential of conformity to a totalitarian corporation, leading to dehumanisation of humanity. Further explored in the creation scene, the political perspective reveals how the over development of technology for progress, consequently results in abuse of power. This is developed as the machine man is displayed in a low angle shot underneath upside down pentagram, the religious motif symbolic of how Rotwang proves to be usurping the powers of god, emphasising that through the abuse of power, technology has the ability to create a loss of identity leading to dehumanisation. Through the technological expansion made apparent through Lang s dystopic world the potential of the exploitation of power is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A virus is a program or a code that is loaded into your computer system without your knowledge will run against your wishes (Beal, n.d). Viruses can also replicate themselves. All computer viruses are manmade and a virus can make a copy of itself several times and easy to create (Beal, n.d). Mark Vernon wrote that 72% of all companies have received infected e mails or files last year and for larger companies the percentage was 83% (Vernon, 2004). Malware (malicious software) is a annoying or harmful type of software that is intended to secretly access a device without a user s knowledge. There are different types of malware, which include spyware, phishing, viruses, adware, Trojan horses, worms, ransomware, rootkits, and browser hijackers ( What is Malware and how to remove it | Cyber security, n.d.). • 14. Inequality Between The Authoritarian Teacher And Students 2.22 Inequality of Intelligence The hierarchical power relationship between the authoritarian teacher and students inherently stands in opposition to the equality of intelligence. Probing further in the direction of intelligence, authority is constructed on the ground of a certain form of inequality between who is intelligent and who is not (Tocqueville et al., 2000). This premise of inequality in intelligence is enacted throughout the educational process in traditional teaching. According to Rancière (1991), the pedagogical myth divides intelligence into two, a superior intelligence and an inferior one (p.7). The superior intelligence knows things by reason, proceeds by method, from the simple to the complex, from the part to the whole , whereas the inferior intelligence registers perceptions by chance, retains them, interprets and repeats them empirically, within the closed circle of habit and need (ibid.). An authoritarian teacher may take this binary conception of intelligence for granted, maintaining that s/he has a superior intelligence while students have an inferior one. S/he is likely to present him/herself as the necessary opposite of the students. By considering the students as less intelligent beings with immature minds, s/he claims his or her own superior intelligence: s/he is the one being capable of opening the curtains that hide the true meaning of the knowledge. S/he attempts to convince his or her students that s/he has direct access to the knowledge. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The War Powers Resolution of 1973 may shine some light on who or whom can declare war. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 also know simple as the War Powers Act states the President must notify Congress within a 48 hour time frame that he is sending troops into military combat. The act does not allow military solders from remaining in a state of conflict for more than 60 days. After 60 days the President must ask Congress again for authorization. The act was made to restrain the President strength to send U.S. military overseas by requiring the executive branch to discuss with Congress before involving U.S. troops in overseas combat. In Article I of The Constitution the power to declare war as well as have the power to raise an army and navy, and fund war efforts was given to Congress however in Article III of The Constitution the President is named Commander In Chief of the armed forces. As few as 10 years ago the term social media was yet to be coined, but within that decade the use of these blogs, websites and sharing platforms has increased exponentially with no plateau in sight. From creating Instagram accounts for household pets, to sharing Halloween themed baking ideas over Pinterest, people today have access to social media outlets for almost everything. Today about 74% of people ages 18 65 use some form of a social networking site (Pew, 2014). Facebook takes the lead in social media usage with about 71% of those adults. LinkedIn and Pinterest are tied for second at 28% of users, 26% use Instagram, and Twitter falls last in the top 5 most used social medias with 23% of users (Pew, 2014). In September of 2013 the Pew Research Center measured that 90% of adults ages 18 29 used these social media outlets on a daily basis, which is an astonishing increase from the 9% that was measured in February 2005 (Pew, 2014). However when an individual s actions are expected to negatively impact the Niagara Escarpment, limitations must be imposed on the individual in order to preserve the biosphere for the greater good of the world. Humans must respect and follow the regulations of an UNESCO biosphere reserve in order to maintain it. Before one looks to expand on the Niagara Escarpment, economic, social, cultural, and environmental factors should be considered. Economically, new land expansion is always viewed as beneficial. When companies or industries look to build new factories or houses, their end goal is always to make a profit. However, individual advancement in this case has to be sacrificed for the greater good of the rest of the stakeholders. For example, mining industries and residential lots ... • 23. The Opening Of The Imperial Ballet School After the Romantic era ballet had died out in Paris and Russia became the new focus. In 1738, the opening of the Imperial Ballet School in St. Petersburg attracted many great dancers and choreographers such as Marie Taglioni. This school was controlled by an aristocrat named Czar. The most well known 19th century choreographer, Marius Petipa, became the ballet master of the entire school, shaping imperial and classical ballet. Ideas such as increased focus on technique, formulaic choreography, mime and gesture, and lengthy ballets can be seen in Petipa s most famous ballets. These famous ballets include The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In the 20th century, Sergei Diaghilev introduced a traveling ballet company called Ballet Russes. Starting out in Paris, this company brings together Russian and Western ideas with a spark of modernism. This company brought together revolutionary collaborations between choreographers, dancers, composers, artists, and fashion designers. Through the development of Russian ballet, there has been rejection and embracement as well as changes in structure and choreography. Ballet master Marius Petipa moved to Russia because he felt hidden in the shadows of his more famous brother Lucien Petipa. For three decades, he was the ballet master of the Imperial Ballet School creating lavish, extravagant ballets unlike the previous Romantic era had. Petipa had some new ideas for the ballet. This is not only a sport, but an activity available to anyone that offers valuable life lessons to those who play. Lessons and skills such as leadership and teamwork, determination, and friendships are a few that I have gotten out of playing soccer. Many people view soccer as a waste of two and a half hours because the game becomes repetitive and predictable. The start off of the game is as follows, one team starts with possession of the ball with the intention is to score a goal, while keeping it away from the other team and vice versa. Watching the sport may seem boring to those who do not play because they don t understand it. People who don t play soccer do not realize the amount of time and effort it takes to excel in this sport, which comes down to the time spent practicing and conditioning. The more hours spent on footwork and physical conditioning, the better you become. This sport can be extremely physical, but it is also a mental game. It is important to be in the right mental state during a game because distraction in the head leads to mistakes on the field. A strong mental state is extremely important in soccer, as well as every day. The ability to multitask proves to be an advantage in the game; when a player has the ball, they need to continue to move, look for open teammates on the field, and maneuver around the opposing team simultaneously. Muscular dystrophy can also occur with no family history of the disease. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Boys begin to have difficulty sitting up and standing, weakness that progresses to muscles in the trunk and shoulder, and later affecting the heart muscle. By the age of twenty years individuals affected with Duchenne dystrophy die. While there is no known cure, scientists are certain of the genetic make up that causes muscular dystrophy, an inherited faulty gene. This gene can be inherited in one of four ways: X linked or sex linked recessive, when a man with X Linked muscular dystrophy has children, Autosomal Recessive Inheritance, and Autosomal Dominant Inheritance. The mother, who is a carrier, inherits an X Linked or sex linked faulty gene. The result is producing an affected son and or a daughter being a carrier. The second way is an affected male producing children, particularly daughters. All daughters born to fathers with x linked muscular dystrophy will be carriers; on the contrary their sons will be unaffected. Scientists link this to a genetic mutation in the gene, appearing most often for the first time in a family. Autosomal recessive inheritance is the third type known to cause muscular dystrophy, whereas both parents are carriers of the defective gene. For this reason the offspring have a 25% chance of being affected with both malformed genes, resulting in them being affected. The chance increases with cousin marriages. The ... The Godfather, The Exorcist, And The Silence Of The Lambs The Godfather, The Exorcist, and The Silence of the Lambs are three films that are often given the title greatest of all time in their respective genre, for very good reason. Each film consists of scenes that are crafted so unforgettably that the scenes leave each viewer with a sense of awe, shock, and horror when each scene is carefully examined. The Godfather, distributed in 1972 by Paramount Pictures, was directed by Francis Ford Coppola who in an interview said in regards to his filmmaking that If you don t take a risk then how are you going to make something really beautiful, that hasn t been seen before? (1). The Godfather certainly presented cinema with iconic and memorable scenes that were both beautiful and never before seen largely due to the new and risky ways Francis Ford Coppola presented The Godfather s narrative. Similarly, The Exorcist chilled the bones of audiences everywhere by shocking the world with grueling demonic possession in a tangible way that had never been presented before by cinema. The scenes in The Exorcist were particularly memorable because the scenes resonated with a large majority of American audiences who came from religious backgrounds where demonic possession is a sincere possibility; never before had a film brought Americans face to face with The Devil, Hell, and sin by means of horror. Horror was also a key element in Jonathan Demme s 1991 classic The Silence of the Lambs. Horror made each scene very memorable, particularly when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In my 13 years old body, there were so many experiences emotions. Jaws was probably the first film where I completely forgot everything around me. If this movie scares you to the point where you cannot go back to the water, then Spielberg has done a job well done. First thing, Jaws is not only about a shark. It is important to look at the opening titles of any film because the openings give you an idea of what you ll see in the movie. The simplicity is what makes Jaws such a great film. Spielberg is showing us how people react, and the emotional response we have as an audience comes because we have empathy for the characters feelings. Using memory and problem solving skills to determine a course of action regarding an assignment. Processing information that is presented. Analyzing and reorganizing notes that I took in class. Observing different note taking techniques, processing that information, and eventually changing my note taking behavior based on that knowledge. Realizing that procrastination is causing me unnecessary stress and changing my behavior to eliminate that stress. Motivation can consist of internal and external motivators. Internal motivators are the more powerful of the two because they are controllable and come from within. Motivation is the reason why we decide to act and affects our behavior. The field of Educational Psychology attempts to find effective methods for motivation to help improve learning outcomes for students. An example of this can be found in a journal article, in which researchers studied the effects on students who were told stories of famous scientists failures, as opposed to those who were told stories of famous scientists successes. This made the stories more relatable, thus improving the students motivation (Lin Siegler, Ahn, Chen, Fang, Luna Lucero, 2016).
