Clause 186 of Bill C 10 proposes to replace section 76(2) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act by
changing the already existing legislation to provide that a young offender, under the age of eighteen,
will serve their sentence at a youth custody facility, in all cases and regardless of the crime committed.

Abstract
The projects purpose was to determine the effects of alcohol and caffeine on the heartbeat rate in
Daphnia Magnus. Our hypothesis is alcohol causes a decrease in heart rate, whereas caffeine causes an
accelerated heart rate, predicting that the more caffeine we give the daphnia the faster it heartbeat rate
will become and the heartbeat rate will decrease as we give the Daphnia alcohol. After doing the
experiment we found that the more caffeine we added to the Daphnia Magna the faster its heartbeat

We Placed 1 drop of a 1% caffeine solution on the Daphnia. After waiting for a few seconds we began
to count the heart beats and recorded the results on our data sheet.
Next we removed the excess solution from the Daphnia and flushed it with aquarium water. Using the
same procedure we monitored the effects of 1 1/2% and 2.0% caffeine solutions and recorded our
results and placed the Daphnia in the recovery tank. After completing the caffeine series, we obtained
a the second set of drugs. This time instead of using caffeine we used varied concentrations of alcohol
2%, 4% and 6% using the same method as the caffeine procedure. Again recording our results and

Results
The original purpose of this experiment was to determine how alcohol and caffeine
effected the heartbeat rate of a Daphnia. The results of the experiment were that the
higher percentage caffeine and alcohol placed onto the Daphnia the higher the heart rate.

Conclusion
After completing the experiment we found that when we gave the Daphnia caffeine the heartbeat rate
did show an increase. However, we also found that alcohol also increased the number of times the

random times making the form sound choppy. For example, in the first stanza she uses the trochee
certain and winter . Both of these create a rough sentence. The poem goes into pause at many times
throughout the poem, thus bringing out the dissatisfaction and difficult time the poem is describing.
There is no way to tell who is speaking in this poem. Dickinson generally wrote as if the narrator was
somebody parallel or close to herself; however, in 320 there are no signs of if it is Dickinson or one of
her other popular characters. The narrator seems to be speaking as if they are part of a group, as the
only pronouns mentioned are us and we . This us could be up for interpretation; it could be a small
group experiencing death or even the entire human population as a whole and their view of God.
Dickinson uses strong imagery in the first stanza. The reader imagines the booming sounds of large
cathedral organs and the way the bass of them shakes your soul. She adds a negative connotation to
these shakes by stating it oppresses the narrator. Following, Dickinson uses the metaphor of a slant of
light on a winter afternoon to the opening her internal pain. As the slant of light opens, it is essentially
opening up a seal of despair. Nothing external has affected the body; however, the heartbreak from the
pain the narrator is dealing with leaves behind marks on her soul. She follows this theme through the
entire poem that the slant of light has brought pain upon her. Dickinson starts with a relatively positive
tone. When stating There s a certain Slant of light / Winter Afternoons the reader has the visual of a
small light shining through on a white surface. This tone quickly changes when it is followed by That
oppresses, like the Heft / Of Cathedral Tunes giving off the interpretation of a light that hits

Sports should not be co ed, due to the differences in the capability levels of athleticism between
females and males. Sports are based off of age and skill, but the female and male genders each have
major differences in athleticism. Sports such as football include factors such as size, strength and
quickness. The male and female bodies are developed differently creating an unfair advantage to the
men. Men are born stronger than women due to their production of testosterone which helps build
muscle. Women do produce testosterone, but very little of it making the men naturally stronger. Men

All genocides that have occurred in human history include various stages that are usually present;
however, extermination, the 7th stage of genocide, is one that is present in all genocides. From the
Armenian genocide and Darfur genocide, to the Rwandan and Jewish genocides, extermination is ever
present in all of these.
Extermination is explained to be mass killings of people, which defines the legal term genocide , and
is caused when the killers do not consider their victims to be fully human (Stanton, 8 Stages).

Among the dead were children and pregnant women. Rape in villages by government officers and
local police was, like in the case of the Darfur genocide, an often occurrence. Victims were disposed
of and often their identifiable information, were burned (Spalding 29 33). The torture, mutilation, and
disturbing murders of neighbors by average citizens, in addition to the governmental militia acts of
ethnic cleansing show extermination throughout the course of the Rwandan genocide.
Lastly, one of the most horrific acts of extermination that occurred in any genocide was that of the
Holocaust. After Hitler gained power and began to secretly isolate, transport, and force Jews (among
other minorities) into concentration camps during World War II, the worst extermination acts were
committed. A prime example is the target practice and burning of babies at these camps, with no
exception on average men and women (Wiesel 32 33). In addition, people were hung, and thousands
of prisoners were forced to watch. This disgusting act of near inhuman hatred made this extermination
horrendous. The worst, as Elie Wiesel witnessed in a camp, was the hanging of a little boy, who was
too light to properly hang, and stayed alive for half an hour, slowly dying (Wiesel 65). Other things
