The Positive Effects Of Stress On College Students
Stress plays a big part on the daily life of every individual. Stress is a natural by product of adapting
and then regaining internal homeostasis. Every individual will react differently to stressful situations.
There are positive ways that one can deal with stress. These positive ways are called coping, which is
the multitude of strategies one can use in response to a stressor. There are three different coping
strategies, those of which include problem focused strategies, emotion focused strategies, and avoidant
coping strategies, which can help oneself cope with the stress of everyday life. Stress indicates that
change requires an effort to adapt and then an effort to gain stability (Kato, 2017). In the article
written by Flynn and Chow, they conduct research on a rather large group of college students to see if
college really is the most stressful part of life (Hales, 2009). According to Kaisers (1974) terminology
the study conducted indicates that the data set is marvelous for factor analysis.
Stress on College Students Stress plays a huge role on everybody in everyday life. Being a college
student, I did my research article based on students in college and how stressful it is.
Definition of Stress and Coping Stress, as defined by Kato, is the general term describing the
psychological and bodily response to a stimulus that alters one s state of equilibrium. Coping, also
defined by Kato, is the multitude of strategies one can use in response to a stressor. Emotion focused
strategies change a person s emotional response to the stressor (Kato 2017) Problem focused strategies
focus on taking the stressor head on (Kato, 2017). Avoidant coping involves simply avoiding the
stressor (Kato, 2017).
Research on Stress and Coping In an article written by Deborah M. Flynn, she goes into depth about
self efficacy, self worth and stress. This study is important because the time spent in the post
secondary educational system is one of the most stressful periods of life that has been reported (Hales,
2009). As stated in her article, there are clear differences in how some students cope with stress, some
students view stress as a challenge and thrive, whereas others have difficulty coping (Stoliker and

A SWOT Analysis of the Changing Industry Marketplace
1.0 Introduction
The purpose of this report is to develop and understanding of the changing tourism marketplace and
alternatives to mass tourism and the different problems associated with the delivery of different types
of TL activities. Flowing from task 1, a Mystery Shop was completed on Skydive Ramblers
Caboolture and a case study has been developed based on the special interest activity undertaken.
The report has two parts; Part A, which is based on special interest tourism and management and
marketing implications that may be present, and Part B, which consists of the analysis of the data
found through using the mystery shopping instrument. 2.0 Part A
2.1 Background
2.1.1 Definition and Criteria
Adventure tourism has grown rapidly in the recent years and has become increasingly
commercialised. It can be defined multiple ways including when a participant is involved in an
outdoor activity and confronts nature in order to experience risk (Walle, 1997), or where the principle
attraction is an outdoor activity using specialised equipment (Swarbrooke et al.)
However, not all activities that occur in an outdoor setting constitute as adventure and adventurous
behaviour does not necessarily mean visiting exciting places.
According to Maslow s hierarchy of needs (Maslow, 1954), people seek higher needs of risk only after
lower level needs have been satisfied and are no longer a source of motivation. This means that
adventurers are predicted to willingly abandon

Disney Alligator Accident
Harambe vs. Disney Alligator There are many accidents in which children are involved, that occur
every day. Recently, there have been two that have made a strong impact throughout the country.
Many parents have made mistakes of letting their children wander free without double checking their
surroundings for anything that could potentially harm their child. In these cases, this wasn t
necessarily the problem. While the Harambe incident and the Disney Alligator incident both involved
children, a wild animal, and at least one death; they differ in enviroment, their animal species, and the
responses that came after the accident. To commence in contrasting the Harambe accident and the
Disney alligator accident, their different locations played ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people noticed that the parents of the boy that was attacked by Harambe were black. Some think
that the awful responses that the family of Isiah Dickerson received had to do with the parent s race.
Following the recent tragedy of a 2 year old white boy being killed by an alligator in Florida, the
popular Facebook page Love Life of an Asian Guy has written a viral post contrasting the public s
empathy for these white parents with the unbridled rage that was leveled at the black parents of the
toddler who fell into a Cincinnati gorilla enclosure. (Wellman). After being ridiculed and judged for
not keeping an eye on her child, Michelle Gregg, mother of Isiah Dickerson, had many tweets
indirectly made about her. @Guccitent on Twitter said They should execute the parents and the baby
#justiceforharambe . In direct contrast to the hashtag that trended worldwide about the death of
Harambe, an abundance of tweets and other social media posts supporting the family of Lane Graves
were made. Sabrina (@lovelycoannnn) tweeted The more I think about it the more my heart goes out
to the family who s son got dragged away by an alligator. Obviously, the reactions of the people
following the incidents were in dire contrast with each

Fair Time Is A Great Time For The City
Fair Time The Alabama National Fair in Montgomery, Alabama is a great time for the city. It provides
us residents with a good time that we don t reallt get to experience on the regular. Even though the
rides are broke down, and most of the time not even safe at all. It still can put a smile on someones
face to know that fair will be in town soon. Something that the fair can offer that s actually something
people run to the gates for is the wonderful greasy food. I have searched high and low, and the only
place that I can find a good foot long corndog is at the fair. The fair will always be one of the best
times in Montgomery. I have been going to fair for as long as I can remember. I still get somewhat
excited to here that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I am in the middle of the midway, I do not know where to go there are so many things to choose
from. I literraly need a full day to go to this fair because it is just that good. I could either go get a
wristband to have unlimited rides or I could just get tickets to ride a limited amount of times. It is
already known that the wristband is the best way to go if one wants to really enjoy themselves at the
fair. Who would not want to go on the these faboulous dangerous rides more than once? Definitely not
me. I always get the wristband. The first thing I always do is of course I go to the broke down rides
and test them out. One would look at these rides and make the quick assumption of, I would not dare
step a foot on this dangerous looking ride. But once that person does get on the ride they can have a
really fun time. When I see a person on one of these fair rides, I always see them smiling, and having
fun. Unless the ride is making them sick so I quickly turn away. So the sterotype of fair rides being
boring and not fun are completely false in my opinion. After the rides before I get to the food I have to
make it through the midway, and listen to the workers of the fair games yelling at me to play their
games. I m a competiotor so I have to give some of these games a shot. The games at the fair are
obviously rigged, prime example is the basketball shot. A regular standard basketball rim is not as

Memoirs of a Geisha and the Bluest Eye Essay example
Comparison Essay of Memoirs of a Geisha and the Bluest Eye Memoirs of a Geisha by Aurthor
Golden and The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison are two thought provoking books with a unique style of
writing. Memoirs of a Geisha has a beautiful poetic grammar which captures readers imagination and
brings the story to life. Morrison on the other hand uses combined voices to give varied perspectives
with out resorting to authorial intrusion or preaching. Memoirs Of A Geisha and the bluest eye both
contain graphic realism combined with a dramatic flair, which is the key as to why both of these books
have been a great success.
Memoirs of A Geisha is an exotic fable is about a young, innocent girl named Chiyo (9 years old in
1929) who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sayuri envies Hatsumomo as she is a beautiful well known geisha. However Hatsumomo despises
Sayuri because she knows that Sayuri has the determination and beauty to become better than she is
and Hatsumomo does everything in her way to stop Sayuri from becoming a Geisha. Pecola however
envies Shirly Temple because she has blue eyes and is beautiful. All of the parents adore Shirly temple
because of the beauty she possesses. Both books involve hatred, selfishness, jealousy, love and
betrayal.
Memoirs of a Geisha has several different themes entwined in to the story, what I take to be the theme
of this memoir is that a person can accomplish anything in life if they have set their mind on it and if
they believe they can get there. Never giving up hope and always looking for a brighter day will
eventually lead you to what you re out there searching for. In Sayuri s case, she was a slave who won
the heart of a man and worked herself up to become one of the most successful geishas in all of Japan
and to be united with the man she loved who motivated her all her life. I feel people should learn to be
courageous from Sayuri and never give up dreaming because I believe that if you want something
badly, you can transform your dreams into realties. This theme that is illustrated in Memoirs of a
Geisha is most probably the opposite of what happens in The Bluest Eye. This however is not saying
that the

Racial Profiling Theory
Racial profiling is an ever growing issue in the world. Not growing in that it is becoming more of an
issue, but growing in that citizens who are not victims are finally seeing and understanding racial
profiling and its role in the criminal justice system, and also victims themselves are becoming more
outspoken and encouraged to fight back about the injustices they are facing. The two go hand in hand,
as there are more people willing to listen, there are more people willing to speak out. The first and
second section of this paper will dedicate itself to understanding and considering the social factors and
the legal factors that enable racial profiling to exist in Canada. The third section of this paper will
dedicate itself to the discussion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is is enabled not only by the government, government officials, police, lawyers and anyone else who
falls into a similar style of categorization, but it is also perpetuated by citizens themselves, through
their own racist ideologies or through their disinterest and lack of initiative to change the way society
and the legal system view minorities. There is also the factor of it being a very difficult task to address
the problem of racial profiling in the criminal justice system because small scale legal reforms do not
seem to be making an impact, and large scale legal reforms are very difficult to foster. These factors
are extremely essential to consider as the only way to determine the best course of action to avoid a
system such as racial profiling, is by acknowledging and deconstructing the very structures that keep
the practice in place in the first place. It is especially important to consider legal and social factors as
these factors would be so ingrained into our society and the comfort of our everyday lives that many
would not bother to give a second thought on the discussion. The only way to grow and evolve as a
society (with the inclusion of a growing and evolving legal system) is to continue to question what we
believe we know and to challenge the structures prevailing in our society that in any way seem unfair
or unjust. For this reason,

House Affordability Is A Perennial Issue
Tiny Houses in Australia and the increase interest in having them built.
House affordability is a perennial issue in Australia and has worsened drastically in the last 3 decades.
Several factors exist for the inadequate affordable housing. On the requirement side most are
population growth and also higher migration to urban places, simply reachable housing finance, tax
incentives as well as a strong cultural preference for owner occupied detached houses . On the supply
part, price level problems are exacerbated by inflexible and also poor responses to the demand for new
housing stock, inadequate infrastructure and generally poor organizing procedures and development
assessment by local governments.
The more and more popular tiny house movement had been mooted as a possible way out of some
housing price level issues. The movement started in the United States in the late 1990s, mostly due to
housing affordability problems, the global financial meltdown with the plans to live more sustainably.
At the time, the tiny house movement was early small and localized; previously decade, it has become
significantly mainstream.
Definitely, there is quite strong need for affordable housing and for alternative housing forms. Recent
study (an online survey, several interviews and social media research) has proven tiny houses appeal
strongly to a broad demographic, especially to single person or couple household.
As we grow and are getting handy, wise and skillful, we can easily refine

A Clean Well-Lighted Place Symbolism
In A Clean, Well Lighted Place, Ernest Hemingway uses light and dark imagery along with a young
vs. old motif to demonstrate that life has no meaning. The story is about a deaf old man who sits in a
cafe every night and gets drunk and the waiters that must serve him. One waiter is young and arrogant
while the other is a little older and is more humble and understanding of others. Throughout the story
the waiters converse back and forth about what should be done about this drunk old man as it gets
later and later in the night. The cafe is used as a place for those seeking quiet and the light instead of
the loud dark bars. The light is an escape from the nothingness of the world. In this story, it seems that
we can only see places that are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What does this Hemingway story have to do with anything in our lives? We aren t waiters or an old
men so why should we care. This story exposes a sad and hopeless viewpoint on life so why should
we read it? I believe that this story is a wake up call. It reminds me to enjoy every moment of my life
and to not rush through my everyday endeavors. We shouldn t live our lives like they are jobs and
thinking with a have to attitude. Like my football coach, Coach Lavorato says, live your life with a get
to attitude not a have to attitude. The waiter gets to get up every morning and go to work. He gets to
go home to his wife. This can be applied to our lives as well. For example, I get to go to a
extraordinary school everyday. I get to go to football practice everyday. I get to see my friends and
family everyday. I get to do homework every night. I think Hemingway s message is that he wants us
to be inspired by this story and to savor every moment of our lives. Don t be fooled by the rush and
timetables of life, take things slow and enjoy your Clean, Well Lighted

Effects Of Wetlands On The Environment Essay
WETLANDS
wetlands are defined as transitional land between terrestrial and aquatic systems where the water table
is usually at or near the surface or the land is covered by shallow water. (Cowardin et
al.,1979).Wetlands are one of the most productive life support systems in the world characterized with
waterlogged soils and recognized for their unique role in regulating global biogeochemical cycles
(Reddy and DeLaune, 2008). In the context of global biogeochemical budgets, it is the carbon (C)
cycle that wetlands influence the most. carbon density of wetlands are higher among all other
ecosystems due to its high productivity and slow decomposition rates, (Kayranli et al., 2010 ).
Recent works by the Ramsar Convention s Scientific and Technical Review Panel (STRP), states that
there are evidences showing importance and under estimated role of wetlands in both carbon storage
and the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere.(2) significant amount of carbon
dioxide is emitted through degradation of wetlands .
Wetlands play an important role in regulating exchanges of greenhouse gases (water vapour, carbon
dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and sulfur dioxide) to and from the atmosphere . They depending on
temporal ,spatial and typical features ,wetlands tend to be sinks for carbon and nitrogen and sources
for methane and sulphur compounds..3 (figre 1) fig 1
All types of wetlands have the capability of sequestering and storing carbon through photosynthesis

A Day At Oakleaf Junior High School
The alarm clock blared as six o clock struck. I groggily climbed out of bed to
begin what I thought was just another day at Oakleaf Junior High School. I followed my usual
routine which included brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and eating my bowl of
delicious Coco Puffs. I gathered my backpack and headed towards the door to begin my

to school today. We re going on vacation! I looked at them with disbelief as she hastily
ushered me out the front door into the already prepared Toyota Highlander. Next thing I

Life presents questions to every person that experiences it. Many of these question will forever remain
unanswered. The social and psychological problems and questions that life throws at it attendants are
stressed by one of the mid to late 1800 s best problem play authors, Henrik Ibsen. Ibsen spend most of
his writing career exploring the human mind. He had a passion for the truth, and due to this he
conveyed his thoughts through writing. His time period offered many scenarios for him to write about
which still apply to today s society. One of these scenarios is the societal roles that given to people.

Society is forcing these brothers to work against each other, ironically for one main shared purpose.
Both of these stories show the affect that society has on communities and individuals, alike. The need
for specific people, such as Torvald and the Stockman brothers, to be what society wants them to be
creates conflicts that are larger than themselves. It creates problems with others. This is the result of
human doing what they do best, make mistakes. The human race evolves over time, both mentally and
physically. With these changes come new responsibilities and decisions. When people fail to fulfill
their responsibilities, conflicts arise. That is seen in these stories. This is a similar pattern as that of the
gender role throughout history. Women were seen as the more submissive gender. This is because
human beings made it this way. All of these conflicts and problems that are still to this day present are
because of humans. As a race, humans create problems between each other because they feel some
sort of unearned privilege to be better than others. Henrik Ibsen understood this concept; he loved to
explore the minds of humans. That is what made his writing so

How To Legalize Marijuana
Legalizing and regulating marijuana has been long sought after by many individuals. It would bring
one of the nation s largest cash crops under the rule of law, changing many things in the criminal,
medicine, job/tax world. The criminalization of marijuana used disproportionately harms young
people and people of color, sponsors massive levels of violence and corruption, and fails to curb youth
access. There were 658,000 arrests for marijuana possession in 2012, according to F.B.I. figures,
compared with 256,000 for cocaine, heroin and their derivatives. With marijuana being regulated and

Federally legalizing marijuana would bring many new jobs and a very big new source of tax income.
Colorado s marijuana legalization is quickly turning the state into one of the most prosperous places in
the country. Not only has Colorado projected marijuana sales to be a billion dollar industry, but in
January of 2014 alone, the state pulled in over $3.5 million in tax revenue from legal pot sales. If that
trend continues, the state will enjoy an additional $40 million in tax revenue in the first year of
legalization. But that s not all you know those dismal unemployment figures plaguing the nation? Not
in states where pot is legal. Colorado is reporting 10,000 new jobs, all from the legalization of both
recreational and medical marijuana. 10,000 new jobs to each state in the United States would easily
improve the market, less unemployment. The state is now enjoying one of the lowest unemployment
rates in the nation 6% which is the lowest it has been since the recession started. So much for those
old sayings about pot heads being lazy. That s an additional 10,000 people in a labor force out
working, instead of collecting unemployment. That s good for everyone. Marijuana tax income in
Colorado and Washington have exceeded estimates made beforehand. Enforcing thousands of new
jobs, making lots of new money, helping the medical world, and reducing crime rate in the United
States it sounds as if marijuana should already be legal

the current online ordering system, and will generate orders within the system. Once the order is
downloaded into the system, it can be accessed by management or supervisors, and scanned for input
by employees. The bills of lading also function the same way on the receiving end. The current
ordering system allows vendors to send shipment contents electronically, and they can be accessed for

System Relationship With Organizational Mission The warehouse mission is to provide the right

Subject: Availability of Corporate Reorganization
Summary of Facts
Chris and Sue are 50 percent shareholders in BackBone personal service corporation. Backbone
provides chiropractic services in four separate offices, in four small towns: Troy, Union, Vista and
Willow. Chris is the main chiropractor in the Troy office, and Sue heads up the Vista office. Charlie,
the main chiropractor in the Willow office, does not see eye to eye with Chris and Sue on management
styles. Charlie is highly competent and well liked by patients and therefore indispensable in the eyes
of Chris and Sue. Chris and Sue may be willing to give Charlie control of the Willow office, ... Show

In addition, Chris and Sue will not have to worry about any loss of profits since the profits of the new
subsidiary corporation will flow through to the BackBone personal service corporation.
Issue and Conclusion 2
How should the corporate reorganization be structured?
The corporate reorganization should be structured as a divisive D reorganization and the restructuring
process should conform to section 355 of the tax law in order to minimize the tax consequences of the
reorganization.
Law and Analysis 2
Section 368(a)(1) of the tax code provides several options for corporate reorganizations. Section
368(a)(1)(d), also known as a divisive D reorganization , is the best choice for this particular situation.
In a divisive D reorganization, the controlling corporation (in this case, BackBone) will distribute
assets (the Willow office) to a newly formed subsidiary corporation, in exchange for the stock of the
new subsidiary corporation, in a transaction that qualifies under section 355 (Sec. 368(a)(1)(d)). After
the transaction is complete, the Willow office will be its own corporation which is wholly (or at least
mostly) owned by BackBone. BackBone will also still own and control the Troy, Union and Vista
offices after the reorganization.
Issue and Conclusion 3
What will be the tax consequences of the reorganization?
Section 355 of the tax code will drastically reduce, or even completely eliminate, any tax liability
caused by

My Personal Leadership Challenge Analysis
The new ways of thinking that will help me to readdress my personal leadership challenge involves
better understanding the concepts of values based leadership, situational leadership, and style, skills,
and trait approaches to leadership.
Values based leadership revolves around how the values that people have, influence the decisions they
make and the actions they take. Northouse mentions that because leaders usually have more power
and control than followers, they also have more responsibility to be sensitive to how their leadership
affects followers lives (2013, p. 428). Due to this strong statement, working to further understand the
major types of values that relate to leadership will be important for me to pin point which values my
supervisor distinctively displays and which values he does not. Being able to understand this
information is key as values are important to understanding leadership because they explain the focus
and direction of peoples actions (Fernandez Hogan, 2002) and in this case, my supervisor s actions.
Two values that are particularly interesting are the values of being just and being respectful. My
supervisor strongly portrays the value of equality as he make[s] it a top priority to treat all of [his]
subordinates in an equal manner (Northouse, 2013, p.433). He displays this when he gathers all
instructors for a talk before we go to teach swimming lessons. On the contrary, although my
supervisor has passion, he can come off as being ignorant

Summary Of Watch Out
Watch out. She s in a bad mood again today sighed Mr. Hodge, who was one of the other 5th grade
teachers. Hearing this upon entering my class at the start of school is never a good way to start the
day. Especially if your teacher is Mrs. Stewart. It was in the middle of my last year in elementary
school, and I was already accustomed to Mrs. Stewart s tenacity. She pounced on any student when
she got the chance, and today was my lucky day. Mrs. Stewart not only hindered my love for
literature, but instead induced a phobia onto me of books. The way she treated my class would get a
teacher fired today. Her slender body with the complexion of a witch could scare any child, maybe
even some adults. She proused the classroom like a wolf, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

be thrilled with this. Now this wasn t my first rodeo with detentions, but with Mrs. Stewart they
always varied from cleaning the underbelly of the desks to cleaning her floor with a napkin or the best
option was being able to do homework. You would be surprised by the amount of gum found under
the desks even though gum is strictly prohibited. Hopefully my fate would be to finish the critical
reading questions she assigned.
It s after school the following day and I have prepared myself to face the wrath of the Stewart. In class
that day was rather laid back, so maybe I would get lucky. The thick tension in the air as I walked in
the class was enough to choke on. Sweat started to moisten my shirt from the inside. Waiting at her

My hand grasped the cold metal handle and swung open the big wooden door. A gust of warm air
immediately coaxed my face as I took a step into the building. I walked down a narrow hallway,
passing the concessions and the locker rooms, and made my way toward the arena. I walked through a
final set of doors and just like that, I was there. I heard the players blades carving up the ice, the
coaches preparing for battle, and the glorious sound of our student section. As I walked towards my

events. Although we cheered loudly, the cheers were dull and were not improving the morale of the
team. A few minutes into the game, the opposing team scored, and the atmosphere needed to be
resurrected. I attempted to teach the senior leaders some basic hockey cheers. Unfortunately, they
were not grasping the cheers very quickly, and every time they attempted to execute one; it failed. All

morale. The seniors huddled together, and when they broke, they invited me down to the front

The Thing Around Your Neck
The women show courage and intelligence even though they are culturally suppressed. Discuss. The
Thing Around Your Neck by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie highlights the often challenging lives of
Nigerian women living in Africa, but also abroad in the United States. It is however, not the
difficulties which Adichie is ultimately focusing on, but the courage and intelligence of women who
are able to make small victories , overcoming various attempts of cultural oppression. Adichie s
characters are subject to cultural suppression in several of the short stories. This is most pronounced in

This includes the courage shown by the unnamed narrator in Cell One to stand up and cause damage

Despite his various attempts to strip her of her cultural identity and not know[ing] him she returns and

1950s Country Music
From its birth in northern Mexico and southern United States in the early 1920s, country music has
continuously brought controversy to the music industry. During the 1950s country music was mostly
conservative in regards to politics. Other topics of country music include love, middle to lower class
life, and living in the south (Country Music). The country music of the 50s centered around
Rockability which was the combination of Rock n Roll music with Hill Billy music (Honky Tonk).
There were traits of nearly every music genre present in the country music of the 1950s. Those genres
ranged from rhythm and blues to jazz (Lagmen). Although country music was not the most popular
music genre in the 50s, the music still influenced the American music culture in the 50s and now.
Music during the 1950s time period had many recognizable name and faces. Some of the artists
included Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, and
Johnny Cash, just to name a few. From this amazing class of talented artist are the country music stars

Comparison Of Macbeth And Lady Macbeth
Contrast Comparison of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
While analyzing the two main characters in Shakespeare s tragic play Macbeth, critics have often
argued about their true nature and inner coherence. Despite the effort made, very rarely are the
characters presented as their true self, without the inclusion of psychoanalytical theories and other
studies. Consequently, this essay s primary goal is to analyze and discuss the main characteristics of
the Macbeth couple and how they relate with each other by using nothing but a careful reading of the
thoughts and actions of each of the characters and no external influence or studies whatsoever.
The first thing that the Macbeth couple share is the malicious influence exerted on them by the Weird
Sisters. On the one hand, Macbeth is directly faced with the witches, who tell him of his new title of
Thane of Cawdor (a fact that the audience already knows from what King Duncan said to the nobles
after hearing the bleeding captain s report) and more importantly, of his future kingship, with Banquo
being Lesser than Macbeth, and greater. /[Getting] kings, though thou be none (Macbeth I. iii. 66 68).
The immediate fulfillment of this prophecy in the arrival of Ross and Angus, bringers of Macbeth s
new title wrongly leads the newly crowned Thane of Cawdor to assess the witches intention as good,
therefore freeing from his mind the murderous thoughts that he supposes will allow him the Crown. In
light of these events, because of Malcolm s

The Positive Impact Of Technology And Its Impact On America
Our money is their money. Whether you like it or not, the government will receive their loot. Have
you ever thought about where your tax dollars were going? Whether it s used for sturdy or substandard
things, or in other words good or bad things? And how they are spent? It s the million dollar question
that Americans ponder over every day. Our tax dollars are distributed throughout the all Americans in
the United Stated. The constant changes of the technology in this world has a signifance impact on
Americans. Some may see technology as an easy way of doing things, but don t look at the bigger
picture. Not saying that technology is a bad this but it does have its negative and positive conditions
about it. Every penny that we make in the work force we have to pay a slight amount of money to the
United States government. Like I uttered before, whether we like it or not the government will receive

more than we may think they can, for example what if a self driving car hits another car and it s the

A Short Summary On Bad Habits
My Habits
I can definitely relate to Patsy, about the bad habits. If I could remember how I acted as a child, then I
would try to work towards that. I feel like I started my habits at a very young age because, my past
was difficult and I knew it was wrong with what I went through. I feel like I can tell people what I
went through as a kid which, I was sexually abused. But I know I have to drop it and move forward
because I feel like it is holding me back. I started to close off my happiness towards the males in my
family. I noticed that the people who hurt me, did not bother me anymore because my goal was to not
be around them anymore. That is when I started to feel comfortable with not talking to people about
how I was feeling because I felt embarrassed or ashamed. My bad habits started to kick in with me
being shy, not confident, not talking to boys, and trying to show I was happy. I stay quiet because I
feel safe and nobody will judge me on my voice or what I have to say or I have nothing to say. With
that, I do not know why my mouth is always closed. A lot of people say I look mad or sad which I can
understand but I cannot help it because its been a habit ever since I was able to understand my
feelings. Now that I am talking about all these habits, I wish we did not learn them because, they are
hard to let go. I am learning so much about myself in the first year of acting school! I am aware of my
habits and in the process of letting them go one step at a time. I use

Memory Vs Collective Memory
Memory is a very special thing to have, especially for the community. The people of the community
do not have memory. The citizens of the community do not have memories for very special reasons
and rules. If the world s history was all erased, then many people would think that many other people
and countries would be nicer to each other. There would be no racism and no different religions. There
would also be no war. Everything in the world would just be the same. It would be better to have
individual memory and instead of collective memory because there are worse things that can happen
with collective memory. The first thing that would be better in the world is that there would be no
wars between countries and within countries. Everyone would be nice to each other and nothing
would ever happen. Countries would not even have a military because they wouldn t even have to
fight each other. If people had only their individual memory, they wouldn t care just about other
countries. The person might not like the country, but they would have their own opinion about the
country and they would not just be told what countries the people should or should like and not like. ...

ABSTRACT
This study deals with the reliability, availability, and busy period characteristics of single unit system.
On failure of the system, if system can be repaired in short time then repair will be continued,
otherwise in order to improve availability another substitute system taken from outside is used, which
is guaranteed for failure free operation and an expert repairman is called for fast repair of the unit.
Assuming failure and repair times as exponentially distributed, expressions for the mean time to
system failure (MTSF), the steady state availability and busy period for system are derived using
linear first order differential equations. A particular case for the proposed system is discussed in which
substitute system was not considered. Also comparison is performed graphically to observe the effect
of the proposed system on Availability.
Keywords: Availability, Linear first order differential equation, Mean Time to System Failure,
Reliability, Steady State Availability.

The Importance Of Copper Abuse In Australia
Copper was the first metal used by man in 7000 BC. They used copper a lot in the bronze ages for
swords. They use copper now in TV wirings, charges and mobile phones. Copper ore is mined both
underground and on the surface. They dig large excavations formed called open pit mines. There are
about .5 oz. of copper in your mobile phone. That s more than all the other metals in your phone and
weighs 15% of your phone.
The biggest mine in Australia is the Olympic dam. It produces 55000 tonnes of copper. The Olympic
dam is in the centre of South Australia, and 550 kilometres in Adelaide.
Australia first discovered copper at Kapunda, South Australia in 1842. Copper is mined in Qld, Nsw,
SA, WA and Tasmania. Copper is only not mined in Vic and Nt. Nsw has the most mines in Australia
but Qld produce more copper because their mines are bigger .Copper is found mainly in the earth s
crust. Australia is one of the world s top 6 producers of copper, Australian mines about 6 billion

Abortion Literature Review
III. Literature Review:
Historical Background: Prior to the 1900s, abortion was not regulated in the United States. With the
rise of the medical profession and increasing immigrant population, doctors became more interested in
the reproductive health care process. The American Medical Association (AMA) began to advocate for
the criminalization of abortion, stating the need to protect women from the dangerous chemicals used
to induce abortion (Solinger, 2015). However, amongst members of the AMA, it was known that the
criminalization of abortion would work to correct declining white birth rates. Rickie Solinger (2015)
states:
Advocates of criminalization also stressed society s obligation to halt the declining birthrate among
white Americans. And many stressed the need to protect the sanctity of motherhood and the chastity of
white women; abortion, after all, supported the separation of sexual intercourse from reproduction.
For many physicians and others, all of these concerns were generally more trenchant in the nineteenth
century than the issue of fetal life. (Solinger, 2015, pg. 5).
The replacement for abortion was sterilization, which allowed for the control of groups seen as
undesirable (Solinger, 2015). Undesirable groups were decided by those in power, such as the
government, and ultimately subjected minorities, those with mental illnesses and disabilities, and the
poor to forced sterilization (Solinger, 2015). This continued until 1973, when the Supreme Court

Generation Gaps in Flannery s A Good Man is Hard to Find
The use of symbolism that emphasizes a major gap between the two generations, as well as religion,
theme, and imagery along with an intriguing story plot make Flannery s A Good Man is hard to Find
one of America s classic short stories. Imagery is widely used in O Connor s story, which makes the
characters and surroundings seem lifelike. In the depiction of the grandmother the reader can visual
see the woman sitting in the car waiting on the others to arrive. Her collar and cuffs were white
organdy trimmed with lace and at her neckline she had penned a purple spray of violets containing a
sachet. These are a few phrases of description that O Conner used to describe the old ... Show more

They both agreed that a good man is hard to find. The children and the ways of the grandmother
symbolized the division between the generations in the story. The children, June Star and John Wesley,
represent a new generation of unruly and disrespectful people. On the other hand, the grandmother
represents the strong, southern heritage and stubborn godly beliefs. The two conflict when they
discuss going to Tennessee rather than go to Florida, which is what the grandmother wants to do. June
Star, who can read the grandmother like a book, remarks after John Wesley told his grandmother to
stay at home if she did not want to go to Florida, She wouldn t stay at home for a million bucks.
Afraid she d miss something. She has to go everywhere we go. This is a prime example of the loss of
respect the children had for the grandmother. The grandmother does nothing but reply, Alright, Miss.
The generation gap creates a stir, but the outcome of the two coinciding might be positive. Religion is
a crucial point of the story. Coming to the end of the story, The Misfit and the grandmother are alone
together talking. The Misfit s responses to the grandmother s prayers advice reveal that these two
individuals are on two very different levels with concern to religion. The Misfit has a much deeper
understanding of religion and his belief system than does the grandmother. As the two continue in
conversion, the Misfit asks the grandmother if it seems right that Jesus was

  • 2. The Positive Effects Of Stress On College Students Stress plays a big part on the daily life of every individual. Stress is a natural by product of adapting and then regaining internal homeostasis. Every individual will react differently to stressful situations. There are positive ways that one can deal with stress. These positive ways are called coping, which is the multitude of strategies one can use in response to a stressor. There are three different coping strategies, those of which include problem focused strategies, emotion focused strategies, and avoidant coping strategies, which can help oneself cope with the stress of everyday life. Stress indicates that change requires an effort to adapt and then an effort to gain stability (Kato, 2017). In the article written by Flynn and Chow, they conduct research on a rather large group of college students to see if college really is the most stressful part of life (Hales, 2009). According to Kaisers (1974) terminology the study conducted indicates that the data set is marvelous for factor analysis. Stress on College Students Stress plays a huge role on everybody in everyday life. Being a college student, I did my research article based on students in college and how stressful it is. Definition of Stress and Coping Stress, as defined by Kato, is the general term describing the psychological and bodily response to a stimulus that alters one s state of equilibrium. Coping, also defined by Kato, is the multitude of strategies one can use in response to a stressor. Emotion focused strategies change a person s emotional response to the stressor (Kato 2017) Problem focused strategies focus on taking the stressor head on (Kato, 2017). Avoidant coping involves simply avoiding the stressor (Kato, 2017). Research on Stress and Coping In an article written by Deborah M. Flynn, she goes into depth about self efficacy, self worth and stress. This study is important because the time spent in the post secondary educational system is one of the most stressful periods of life that has been reported (Hales, 2009). As stated in her article, there are clear differences in how some students cope with stress, some students view stress as a challenge and thrive, whereas others have difficulty coping (Stoliker and ... • 3. A SWOT Analysis of the Changing Industry Marketplace 1.0 Introduction The purpose of this report is to develop and understanding of the changing tourism marketplace and alternatives to mass tourism and the different problems associated with the delivery of different types of TL activities. Flowing from task 1, a Mystery Shop was completed on Skydive Ramblers Caboolture and a case study has been developed based on the special interest activity undertaken. The report has two parts; Part A, which is based on special interest tourism and management and marketing implications that may be present, and Part B, which consists of the analysis of the data found through using the mystery shopping instrument. 2.0 Part A 2.1 Background 2.1.1 Definition and Criteria Adventure tourism has grown rapidly in the recent years and has become increasingly commercialised. It can be defined multiple ways including when a participant is involved in an outdoor activity and confronts nature in order to experience risk (Walle, 1997), or where the principle attraction is an outdoor activity using specialised equipment (Swarbrooke et al.) However, not all activities that occur in an outdoor setting constitute as adventure and adventurous behaviour does not necessarily mean visiting exciting places. According to Maslow s hierarchy of needs (Maslow, 1954), people seek higher needs of risk only after lower level needs have been satisfied and are no longer a source of motivation. This means that adventurers are predicted to willingly abandon ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Disney Alligator Accident Harambe vs. Disney Alligator There are many accidents in which children are involved, that occur every day. Recently, there have been two that have made a strong impact throughout the country. Many parents have made mistakes of letting their children wander free without double checking their surroundings for anything that could potentially harm their child. In these cases, this wasn t necessarily the problem. While the Harambe incident and the Disney Alligator incident both involved children, a wild animal, and at least one death; they differ in enviroment, their animal species, and the responses that came after the accident. To commence in contrasting the Harambe accident and the Disney alligator accident, their different locations played ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some people noticed that the parents of the boy that was attacked by Harambe were black. Some think that the awful responses that the family of Isiah Dickerson received had to do with the parent s race. Following the recent tragedy of a 2 year old white boy being killed by an alligator in Florida, the popular Facebook page Love Life of an Asian Guy has written a viral post contrasting the public s empathy for these white parents with the unbridled rage that was leveled at the black parents of the toddler who fell into a Cincinnati gorilla enclosure. (Wellman). After being ridiculed and judged for not keeping an eye on her child, Michelle Gregg, mother of Isiah Dickerson, had many tweets indirectly made about her. @Guccitent on Twitter said They should execute the parents and the baby #justiceforharambe . In direct contrast to the hashtag that trended worldwide about the death of Harambe, an abundance of tweets and other social media posts supporting the family of Lane Graves were made. Sabrina (@lovelycoannnn) tweeted The more I think about it the more my heart goes out to the family who s son got dragged away by an alligator. • 5. Fair Time Is A Great Time For The City Fair Time The Alabama National Fair in Montgomery, Alabama is a great time for the city. It provides us residents with a good time that we don t reallt get to experience on the regular. Even though the rides are broke down, and most of the time not even safe at all. It still can put a smile on someones face to know that fair will be in town soon. Something that the fair can offer that s actually something people run to the gates for is the wonderful greasy food. I have searched high and low, and the only place that I can find a good foot long corndog is at the fair. The fair will always be one of the best times in Montgomery. I have been going to fair for as long as I can remember. I still get somewhat excited to here that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When I am in the middle of the midway, I do not know where to go there are so many things to choose from. I literraly need a full day to go to this fair because it is just that good. I could either go get a wristband to have unlimited rides or I could just get tickets to ride a limited amount of times. It is already known that the wristband is the best way to go if one wants to really enjoy themselves at the fair. Who would not want to go on the these faboulous dangerous rides more than once? Definitely not me. I always get the wristband. The first thing I always do is of course I go to the broke down rides and test them out. One would look at these rides and make the quick assumption of, I would not dare step a foot on this dangerous looking ride. But once that person does get on the ride they can have a really fun time. When I see a person on one of these fair rides, I always see them smiling, and having fun. Unless the ride is making them sick so I quickly turn away. So the sterotype of fair rides being boring and not fun are completely false in my opinion. After the rides before I get to the food I have to make it through the midway, and listen to the workers of the fair games yelling at me to play their games. I m a competiotor so I have to give some of these games a shot. The games at the fair are obviously rigged, prime example is the basketball shot. A regular standard basketball rim is not as ... • 6. Memoirs of a Geisha and the Bluest Eye Essay example Comparison Essay of Memoirs of a Geisha and the Bluest Eye Memoirs of a Geisha by Aurthor Golden and The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison are two thought provoking books with a unique style of writing. Memoirs of a Geisha has a beautiful poetic grammar which captures readers imagination and brings the story to life. Morrison on the other hand uses combined voices to give varied perspectives with out resorting to authorial intrusion or preaching. Memoirs Of A Geisha and the bluest eye both contain graphic realism combined with a dramatic flair, which is the key as to why both of these books have been a great success. Memoirs of A Geisha is an exotic fable is about a young, innocent girl named Chiyo (9 years old in 1929) who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sayuri envies Hatsumomo as she is a beautiful well known geisha. However Hatsumomo despises Sayuri because she knows that Sayuri has the determination and beauty to become better than she is and Hatsumomo does everything in her way to stop Sayuri from becoming a Geisha. Pecola however envies Shirly Temple because she has blue eyes and is beautiful. All of the parents adore Shirly temple because of the beauty she possesses. Both books involve hatred, selfishness, jealousy, love and betrayal. Memoirs of a Geisha has several different themes entwined in to the story, what I take to be the theme of this memoir is that a person can accomplish anything in life if they have set their mind on it and if they believe they can get there. Never giving up hope and always looking for a brighter day will eventually lead you to what you re out there searching for. In Sayuri s case, she was a slave who won the heart of a man and worked herself up to become one of the most successful geishas in all of Japan and to be united with the man she loved who motivated her all her life. I feel people should learn to be courageous from Sayuri and never give up dreaming because I believe that if you want something badly, you can transform your dreams into realties. This theme that is illustrated in Memoirs of a Geisha is most probably the opposite of what happens in The Bluest Eye. This however is not saying that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not growing in that it is becoming more of an issue, but growing in that citizens who are not victims are finally seeing and understanding racial profiling and its role in the criminal justice system, and also victims themselves are becoming more outspoken and encouraged to fight back about the injustices they are facing. The two go hand in hand, as there are more people willing to listen, there are more people willing to speak out. The first and second section of this paper will dedicate itself to understanding and considering the social factors and the legal factors that enable racial profiling to exist in Canada. The third section of this paper will dedicate itself to the discussion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Is is enabled not only by the government, government officials, police, lawyers and anyone else who falls into a similar style of categorization, but it is also perpetuated by citizens themselves, through their own racist ideologies or through their disinterest and lack of initiative to change the way society and the legal system view minorities. There is also the factor of it being a very difficult task to address the problem of racial profiling in the criminal justice system because small scale legal reforms do not seem to be making an impact, and large scale legal reforms are very difficult to foster. These factors are extremely essential to consider as the only way to determine the best course of action to avoid a system such as racial profiling, is by acknowledging and deconstructing the very structures that keep the practice in place in the first place. It is especially important to consider legal and social factors as these factors would be so ingrained into our society and the comfort of our everyday lives that many would not bother to give a second thought on the discussion. The only way to grow and evolve as a society (with the inclusion of a growing and evolving legal system) is to continue to question what we believe we know and to challenge the structures prevailing in our society that in any way seem unfair or unjust. • 9. House Affordability Is A Perennial Issue Tiny Houses in Australia and the increase interest in having them built. House affordability is a perennial issue in Australia and has worsened drastically in the last 3 decades. Several factors exist for the inadequate affordable housing. On the requirement side most are population growth and also higher migration to urban places, simply reachable housing finance, tax incentives as well as a strong cultural preference for owner occupied detached houses . On the supply part, price level problems are exacerbated by inflexible and also poor responses to the demand for new housing stock, inadequate infrastructure and generally poor organizing procedures and development assessment by local governments. The more and more popular tiny house movement had been mooted as a possible way out of some housing price level issues. The movement started in the United States in the late 1990s, mostly due to housing affordability problems, the global financial meltdown with the plans to live more sustainably. At the time, the tiny house movement was early small and localized; previously decade, it has become significantly mainstream. Definitely, there is quite strong need for affordable housing and for alternative housing forms. Recent study (an online survey, several interviews and social media research) has proven tiny houses appeal strongly to a broad demographic, especially to single person or couple household. • 11. A Clean Well-Lighted Place Symbolism In A Clean, Well Lighted Place, Ernest Hemingway uses light and dark imagery along with a young vs. old motif to demonstrate that life has no meaning. The story is about a deaf old man who sits in a cafe every night and gets drunk and the waiters that must serve him. One waiter is young and arrogant while the other is a little older and is more humble and understanding of others. Throughout the story the waiters converse back and forth about what should be done about this drunk old man as it gets later and later in the night. Effects Of Wetlands On The Environment Essay WETLANDS wetlands are defined as transitional land between terrestrial and aquatic systems where the water table is usually at or near the surface or the land is covered by shallow water. (Cowardin et al.,1979).Wetlands are one of the most productive life support systems in the world characterized with waterlogged soils and recognized for their unique role in regulating global biogeochemical cycles (Reddy and DeLaune, 2008). In the context of global biogeochemical budgets, it is the carbon (C) cycle that wetlands influence the most. carbon density of wetlands are higher among all other ecosystems due to its high productivity and slow decomposition rates, (Kayranli et al., 2010 ). Recent works by the Ramsar Convention s Scientific and Technical Review Panel (STRP), states that there are evidences showing importance and under estimated role of wetlands in both carbon storage and the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere.(2) significant amount of carbon dioxide is emitted through degradation of wetlands . Wetlands play an important role in regulating exchanges of greenhouse gases (water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and sulfur dioxide) to and from the atmosphere . Now, both aspects of the conflict are in full blast. Society is forcing these brothers to work against each other, ironically for one main shared purpose. Both of these stories show the affect that society has on communities and individuals, alike. The need for specific people, such as Torvald and the Stockman brothers, to be what society wants them to be creates conflicts that are larger than themselves. It creates problems with others. This is the result of human doing what they do best, make mistakes. The human race evolves over time, both mentally and physically. With these changes come new responsibilities and decisions. When people fail to fulfill their responsibilities, conflicts arise. That is seen in these stories. This is a similar pattern as that of the gender role throughout history. Women were seen as the more submissive gender. This is because human beings made it this way. All of these conflicts and problems that are still to this day present are because of humans. As a race, humans create problems between each other because they feel some sort of unearned privilege to be better than others. The corporate reorganization should be structured as a divisive D reorganization and the restructuring process should conform to section 355 of the tax law in order to minimize the tax consequences of the reorganization. Law and Analysis 2 Section 368(a)(1) of the tax code provides several options for corporate reorganizations. Section 368(a)(1)(d), also known as a divisive D reorganization , is the best choice for this particular situation. In a divisive D reorganization, the controlling corporation (in this case, BackBone) will distribute assets (the Willow office) to a newly formed subsidiary corporation, in exchange for the stock of the new subsidiary corporation, in a transaction that qualifies under section 355 (Sec. 368(a)(1)(d)). After the transaction is complete, the Willow office will be its own corporation which is wholly (or at least mostly) owned by BackBone. BackBone will also still own and control the Troy, Union and Vista offices after the reorganization. Issue and Conclusion 3

My Personal Leadership Challenge Analysis The new ways of thinking that will help me to readdress my personal leadership challenge involves better understanding the concepts of values based leadership, situational leadership, and style, skills, and trait approaches to leadership. Values based leadership revolves around how the values that people have, influence the decisions they make and the actions they take. Northouse mentions that because leaders usually have more power and control than followers, they also have more responsibility to be sensitive to how their leadership affects followers lives (2013, p. 428). Due to this strong statement, working to further understand the major types of values that relate to leadership will be important for me to pin point which values my supervisor distinctively displays and which values he does not. Being able to understand this information is key as values are important to understanding leadership because they explain the focus and direction of peoples actions (Fernandez Hogan, 2002) and in this case, my supervisor s actions. Two values that are particularly interesting are the values of being just and being respectful. My supervisor strongly portrays the value of equality as he make[s] it a top priority to treat all of [his] subordinates in an equal manner (Northouse, 2013, p.433). Comparison Of Macbeth And Lady Macbeth Contrast Comparison of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth While analyzing the two main characters in Shakespeare s tragic play Macbeth, critics have often argued about their true nature and inner coherence. Despite the effort made, very rarely are the characters presented as their true self, without the inclusion of psychoanalytical theories and other studies. Consequently, this essay s primary goal is to analyze and discuss the main characteristics of the Macbeth couple and how they relate with each other by using nothing but a careful reading of the thoughts and actions of each of the characters and no external influence or studies whatsoever. I started to close off my happiness towards the males in my family. I noticed that the people who hurt me, did not bother me anymore because my goal was to not be around them anymore. That is when I started to feel comfortable with not talking to people about how I was feeling because I felt embarrassed or ashamed. My bad habits started to kick in with me being shy, not confident, not talking to boys, and trying to show I was happy. I stay quiet because I feel safe and nobody will judge me on my voice or what I have to say or I have nothing to say. With that, I do not know why my mouth is always closed. A lot of people say I look mad or sad which I can understand but I cannot help it because its been a habit ever since I was able to understand my feelings. Now that I am talking about all these habits, I wish we did not learn them because, they are hard to let go. I am learning so much about myself in the first year of acting school! I am aware of my habits and in the process of letting them go one step at a time. I use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Memory Vs Collective Memory Memory is a very special thing to have, especially for the community. The people of the community do not have memory. The citizens of the community do not have memories for very special reasons and rules. If the world s history was all erased, then many people would think that many other people and countries would be nicer to each other. There would be no racism and no different religions. There would also be no war. Everything in the world would just be the same. It would be better to have individual memory and instead of collective memory because there are worse things that can happen with collective memory. The first thing that would be better in the world is that there would be no wars between countries and within countries. Everyone would be nice to each other and nothing would ever happen. Countries would not even have a military because they wouldn t even have to fight each other. If people had only their individual memory, they wouldn t care just about other countries. The person might not like the country, but they would have their own opinion about the country and they would not just be told what countries the people should or should like and not like. ... • 35. Availability Improvement For Single Unit System With Two... AVAILABILITY IMPROVEMENT IN SINGLE UNIT SYSTEM WITH TWO TYPES OF REPAIR FACILITIES Gurvindar Kaur and pooja vinodiya School of Studies in Statistics Vikram University Ujjain (M.P.) Email:gkbhatti2289@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study deals with the reliability, availability, and busy period characteristics of single unit system. On failure of the system, if system can be repaired in short time then repair will be continued, otherwise in order to improve availability another substitute system taken from outside is used, which is guaranteed for failure free operation and an expert repairman is called for fast repair of the unit. Assuming failure and repair times as exponentially distributed, expressions for the mean time to system failure (MTSF), the steady state availability and busy period for system are derived using linear first order differential equations. A particular case for the proposed system is discussed in which substitute system was not considered. Also comparison is performed graphically to observe the effect of the proposed system on Availability. Keywords: Availability, Linear first order differential equation, Mean Time to System Failure, Reliability, Steady State Availability. 1) INTRODUCTION Competition exists in every field, to keep ahead a major challenge is availability improvement of a system, as less availability has negative impact. People often use availability and reliability interchangeably. In fact, however, the two terms are related but have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Importance Of Copper Abuse In Australia Copper was the first metal used by man in 7000 BC. They used copper a lot in the bronze ages for swords. They use copper now in TV wirings, charges and mobile phones. Copper ore is mined both underground and on the surface. They dig large excavations formed called open pit mines. There are about .5 oz. of copper in your mobile phone. That s more than all the other metals in your phone and weighs 15% of your phone. The biggest mine in Australia is the Olympic dam. It produces 55000 tonnes of copper. The Olympic dam is in the centre of South Australia, and 550 kilometres in Adelaide. Australia first discovered copper at Kapunda, South Australia in 1842. Copper is mined in Qld, Nsw, SA, WA and Tasmania. Copper is only not mined in Vic and Nt. Nsw has the most mines in Australia but Qld produce more copper because their mines are bigger .Copper is found mainly in the earth s crust. Australia is one of the world s top 6 producers of copper, Australian mines about 6 billion dollars worth of copper. Copper is often found in other metals like zinc, lead, gold and silver. ... You then mix it with other materials called fluxes. Then heat it up, after a while it turns into ingots. Open cut mining Open cut mining is when the mineral (cooper) is close to the surface. An example of a mine that uses open cut is Ernest Henry they use open cut mining to receive the copper. Open cut mining remove the soil and put it aside and put down pipes and receive the mineral. Underground mining In underground mining uses the process of the stopping process. The ore body ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Abortion Literature Review III. Literature Review: Historical Background: Prior to the 1900s, abortion was not regulated in the United States. With the rise of the medical profession and increasing immigrant population, doctors became more interested in the reproductive health care process. The American Medical Association (AMA) began to advocate for the criminalization of abortion, stating the need to protect women from the dangerous chemicals used to induce abortion (Solinger, 2015). However, amongst members of the AMA, it was known that the criminalization of abortion would work to correct declining white birth rates. Rickie Solinger (2015) states: Advocates of criminalization also stressed society s obligation to halt the declining birthrate among white Americans. And many stressed the need to protect the sanctity of motherhood and the chastity of white women; abortion, after all, supported the separation of sexual intercourse from reproduction. For many physicians and others, all of these concerns were generally more trenchant in the nineteenth century than the issue of fetal life. (Solinger, 2015, pg. 5). The replacement for abortion was sterilization, which allowed for the control of groups seen as undesirable (Solinger, 2015). Undesirable groups were decided by those in power, such as the government, and ultimately subjected minorities, those with mental illnesses and disabilities, and the poor to forced sterilization (Solinger, 2015). This continued until 1973, when the Supreme Court ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Generation Gaps in Flannery s A Good Man is Hard to Find The use of symbolism that emphasizes a major gap between the two generations, as well as religion, theme, and imagery along with an intriguing story plot make Flannery s A Good Man is hard to Find one of America s classic short stories. Imagery is widely used in O Connor s story, which makes the characters and surroundings seem lifelike. In the depiction of the grandmother the reader can visual see the woman sitting in the car waiting on the others to arrive. Her collar and cuffs were white organdy trimmed with lace and at her neckline she had penned a purple spray of violets containing a sachet. The children and the ways of the grandmother symbolized the division between the generations in the story. The children, June Star and John Wesley, represent a new generation of unruly and disrespectful people. On the other hand, the grandmother represents the strong, southern heritage and stubborn godly beliefs. The two conflict when they discuss going to Tennessee rather than go to Florida, which is what the grandmother wants to do. June Star, who can read the grandmother like a book, remarks after John Wesley told his grandmother to stay at home if she did not want to go to Florida, She wouldn t stay at home for a million bucks. Afraid she d miss something. She has to go everywhere we go. This is a prime example of the loss of respect the children had for the grandmother. The grandmother does nothing but reply, Alright, Miss. The generation gap creates a stir, but the outcome of the two coinciding might be positive. Religion is a crucial point of the story. Coming to the end of the story, The Misfit and the grandmother are alone together talking. The Misfit s responses to the grandmother s prayers advice reveal that these two individuals are on two very different levels with concern to religion. The Misfit has a much deeper understanding of religion and his belief system than does the grandmother. As the two continue in conversion, the Misfit asks the grandmother if it seems right that Jesus was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
