E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial, is an example of how editing and special effects have changed drastically
since 1982 and even before that. Watching a movie from this year compared to a movie from the
1930s, you would notice many differences. In the beginning, there was no digital technology to edit
films. There have also been important contributors to help evolvement in film editing. In the process
of editing film, there are some common editing techniques that have been used ever since film started.

The differences between Separation Anxiety Disorder (SAD) and the similar disorder, Attachment
Anxiety Disorder, were examined to show that the disorders are alike. The causes of Separation
Anxiety Disorder and the symptoms in which a child could be diagnosed were discussed. Following
that, the treatments that were presently available and ways parents could do to counter the onset of this
disorder were observed. Lastly, examples presented of the research studies were observed on a thirteen
year old boy and a two year old pointer cross. Both examples showed how both mother and owner of
the dog could figure out how the son and the dog were diagnosed and how they were treated.

The poem is much more innocent than what the modern reader may think. We can start off by looking
at the title of the poem My Papa s Waltz. A waltz is a ballroom and folk dance. Clearly, the speaker of

The waiting room reeked of diseases and exhaustion. I have been waiting for the last two hours as I
watched the overhead clock turn 10:30pm. The room was still packed with patients and crying babies.
As I sat there waiting, I started to notice how each patient s face would slightly relax after walking out
of the doctor s room. As six years old, I knew that it was not possible for everyone to receive good
news after seeing a doctor, but somehow each patient had a relief look with a hint of hope in each of
their faces. There had to be more to medicine than just prescribing pills.
As I became older, I started to understand that medicine embodies many roles that I wish to fulfill:
scientist, artist, and communicator.
These roles might not seem directly related to medicine, but these are the things that initially ignited

have developed bad relations these days. The media continuously portrays the Middle East as nation
filled with terrorist whilst the West are portrayed as the nation that is trying to make peace. There have
been so many misconceptions that have made both cultures create a barrier between them because of
how both cultures are portrayed through the media.
Many in the West, view Muslims as fanatical, violent and as lacking tolerance. Muslims in the Middle
