Family Structure Of The Family
Family is defined as a group of people related to each other or lives together under the same roof
and a place to foster and develop both physical and mental. Family structure can be varied by each
family. The family is the fundamental unit and micro structure of society. The level of development
of the familyreflects the state of social existence both physical and cultural and based on trust and
shared experiences that define how individual members interact and relate to each other and the
world outside the family. However, family structures today s society has changed in the family
traditional or non traditional.
It is common knowledge that the culture seems to have different kinds of family system. In the
United States, nuclear families, fathers, mothers and children, seems to prevail. In almost all of the
rest of the world, extended family, grandparents, parents, children, but also aunts, uncles, cousins,
and other relatives are considered family . Family type in America and has been changed with the
rise of the nuclear family and the extended family reduced, and with the rise of the family has not
married, divorced families, single mothers, and gay/lesbian families.
When I grew up, my family had two identities. A public identity has been shaped by the
expectations of society and rule. From a public perspective we were a middle class family tradition
complete with a married couple and children. We lived in a modest house, attended schools, and
were financially

The New Wembley Stadium
Description of the project
The New Wembley Stadium was envisioned as the one of the most ambitious projects in the
world. It was called the home of football and considered to be one of the largest and glorious
stadiums in the world. The 133m arch looks breathtaking when lit up at night shining
magnificently across London. Wembley is known as England s icon of football. Football
Association (FA) was the client of the project and its subsidiary was the Wembley National
Stadium Ltd (WNSL). The main contractor involved in the project was Multiplex Constructions
with Mott MacDonald being the Lead Designers who designed it as a state of the art stadium
with a seating capacity of 90,000. The project had two main project advisors; Tropus at the initial
stages (1997 2001) and Capita Symonds (2001 2006). The primary material supplier for steel and
truss was Cleveland Bridge (Lewis, 2007).
Project successes
Now in the world the Wembley stadiumis known for one of the best innovative stadium even
having lot of hindrances related to different segment of the project. The stadium has inbuilt
retractable roof which can be adjusted to allow sunlight to reach every inch of the pitch and cover
the seats during a bad weather. It not only host football games but also concert and Rugby game.
Moreover, it consists 2618 toilets ,34Bars,688 snacks bar and 250 types of grass.
Project issues
Lot of issues cropped up during the construction of the Wembley Stadium.
Indecisiveness of the management before the project began caused a lot of delays. The
construction was delayed for two years due to political and financial issues. It was supposed to get
completed by May 2006 for hosting the FA Cup finalbut was later transferred to Cardiff as per what
Multiplex had advised them.
Multiplex also sued the stadium designer Mott McDonald for ВЈ253m statin that he denied access
to the design information which led to the increased steelwork costs.
Initially during the construction and execution some minor problem arises which later on become
major hurdle in the project. Initially the problem started with the conflict between multiplex and
steel contractor company Cleveland Bridge. Focus Areas and Key Learnings.
The first focus area is Time

The Catholic Church
A. Rationale and Preliminary Research I investigated Satan in the Catholic church; who he is
and how he is described. I have a previous knowledge of the Catholic faith because I used to
attend mass as a child, and because most of my family is catholic and practicing. Satan is a very
popular symbol talked about in society, yet what is said does not seem very educated, so I wanted
to learn more about who Catholicism states Satan is, from the people who follow the faith.
Firstly, I researched the Catholic church broadly. I found a very dependable source from the official
Vatican Church, The Holy See website, which had the Catechism of the Catholic Church using
scriptures. The source contained verses from the bible descripting Satan. This ... Show more content

Finally, the final article is an online website of easy to find bible verses, called Bible Tools. I
searched for Satan a Murderer to find bible verses concerning that, and it also contains explanations
of those verses coming from the Church of the Great God.
B. Plan for Study
This investigation will seek to examine how Satan is perceived in the adherents of the Catholic
faith. The scope of this investigation will include how Satan is described in Catholicism, by his
different names. The plan will be to use different online sources that explain Satan. The Catholic
faith has specific names for Satan that will be researched and examined. The names tell how
Catholics see Satan and how they view his actions. Many of the online sources will be written by
well known adherents of the Catholic faith (two of Christian faith, but correspond to that of
Catholic teachings.) The sources researched and analyzed will explain how Satan is viewed in
Catholicism, answering my research question.
C. Summary of Significant Findings In the beginning, Satan was created good by God and to be
an angel, known as Lucifer. Satan led other angels to turn against God to have more power over
his kingdom. But, the power of God will always triumph over that of Satan, (Saunders, Rev.
William, 2003). So, God cast the demons and Satan to hell; also found that they were cast back to
earth. The reason the Son of God appeared was to

What Is Josiah Strong s Ideology
Josiah Strong and his ideology compared to Nazi ideology Josiah Strong s and Hitler s (Nazi)
Ideology have many similarities and differences. Both ideologies subscribe to some of the same
social and political theories and have many points of comparison and interest. First of all, both
Strong and Hitler subscribed to theories of racial hierarchy and social Darwinism. Interestingly,
although both believed their races to be the superior there was some mutual respect between the
two. Hitler admiring the British empire and having good relations with the royal family and
Strong referring to the German Race as one of the noblest (even though living at different times
in history) Strong believed Protestant Christianity was the most powerful force for civilizing
peoples all over the world, and he believed that people of Anglo Saxon origin were the best
positioned to civilize the rest of the world. This race is destined to dispossess many weaker ones,
assimilated others, and mold of the remainder until... it has Anglo Saxonized mankind. (Josiah
Strong). Strong believed that the Anglo Saxons were being trained by god for the... Show more

New York Stock Exchange Essay
On May 17, 1792 24 stock brokers signed the Buttonwood Agreement on Wall Street in New York
City under a Buttonwood tree. The agreement formed a centralized exchange that eliminated the
need for auctioneers. It also set up rules for the trading of public bonds that were used to pay for
the American Revolution. In 1817, a formal organization was setup and named the New York Stock
Exchange Board. In 1863 it was renamed the New York Stock Exchange and in 1903 it moved to its
present headquarters at 18 Broad Street. During the 19th century, most of the things traded in the
Stock Exchange were government bonds. Few corporations were in existence during this time but
they were primarily banks that people could buy and sell stocks. Over the centuries more companies
joined the exchange with the railroad industry dominating the market through the 20th century. The
invention of the telegraph allowed for easier trading and membership expansion. The current
membership is limited to 1,300. The organization is a nonprofit organization that minimizes
fraudulent offers and providing a safe investing environment. The market works by investors
buying and selling shares of a company. The value of the shares depends on the value of the

public s investments. Some of the security measures in place are requiring companies to provide

The Creator Of Star Wars
In the George Lucas film, the creator of Star Wars, has very strong Hindu beliefs. Similar to
Hinduism affecting our lives, so has it affected his to an extent, which can also be seen by the fact
that he has incorporated Hindu themes throughout the Star Wars film. This essay will explain,
through different examples, the way Lucas has pushed Hinduism into this movie. In the movie, The
Empire Strikes Back, it seems to portray some type of Hinduism in the first parts. Moreover, In the
scene when Luke Skywalkergoes to find Yoda. As he arrives, Skywalker finds himself in a swamp
or forest, trying to find an old and wise master Yoda to learn the ways of the force. Later in that
scene Luke gets a vision that his friends are in great danger. Luke then prepares to departure to
go save his friends. Yoda persuades him not to go by saying that he must finish his training first
because it is more important. This specifies on the Hindu concept of job over blood. The duty
over blood lesson can be looked as examples in readings found in the Bhagavad Gita, where
Krishna tells Arjuna to battle his cousin in spite of his emotions for them, it is his job to do so.
Towards the end of the training session, as Luke begins to leave, Ben Kenobi tells Luke to never
give into anger and hatred. This lesson is also taught by Gandhi, which is explained in Hinduism.
Aside from the training sessions, there are several parts of Star Warsthat portray examples of
Hinduism. An example of this would be

The Relationship among Islam and Human Rights
The relationship among Islam and human rights shapes a significant feature of modern
international human rights debates. In present international events there is more relevant topics
made about Islam than in international law discourse. Professor Abdullahi An Na im is a scholar on
this topic who have written journals and books related to this subject. Muslims support that
governments have a responsibility to enforce law. In Islamthe people are not independent; God
alone is sovereign. Human rights, therefore, are to be enforced only as they reflect divine law.
Rights approved by God in the Koran are seen as unquestionable. There is a major similarity
between the rights proclaimed through international law. But where there is a difference, then
Islamic law is to be obeyed. On the other hand, few Muslims argue that the standards of Islam
encourage gender equality, but governments that have required effecting Islamic law have
distinguished between the rights of men and women. Moreover, Islamic teaching justifies this
distinction by arguing that men and women have rights equal with their different roles and
responsibilities in society.
First, the reason that Muslims argue for cultural legitimacy in debates addressing international
human rights law is because international human rights laws are not comprehensive of the values
and organizations of non Western societies and so these societies are less likely to apply with these
laws. Islamic thought on human rights are apart from

Pentheus Death In Euripides The Bacchae
sexual love, is actually the god he says he is. This is Pentheus demise. Dionysus chooses to
castigate the willful young king by driving the women of the city into a bloodthirsty turmoil,
including Pentheus own mother. In an intense and violent scene, she leads the other women in
ripping him limb from limb, too deranged to see that it is her own son being killed. However, the
story that leads up to this is full of encounters that show where Pentheus went wrong. To avoid a
tragic demise according to Euripides, one must know their own limits and be aware of the
finiteness of human life, on top of obeying the gods. Pentheus did none of these. Euripides uses The

Whether you believe in God or gods, fate, karma, or even just the forces of nature, you are
imprudent to not acknowledge that there are powers in this world greater than you. If one
begins to believe that they are above the influence of these forces, they may be seduced into
ignoring the reality of their own human limitations. We are unlikely to come across a mortal
embodiment of a god, yet Euripides begs us to consider the frailty of our own mortality. It does
not to do to dwell on whatever human power we may consider important. Even Teiresias begs
Pentheus to not be so certain that power is what matters in the life of a man (lines 333 334). It
does not do to swell on the now we must be wise in our thinking and consider the short time we

Black Friday Consumerism Minus Civilization Analysis
Insane in the Membrane: Rhetorical Strategies in Leonard s Black Friday: Consumerism Minus
Civilization
As a country, America has forced the holidays to become a marketing technique. Valentine s Day,
Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas seem like just another way for companies to make even
more money than before. In the essay, Black Friday: Consumerism Minus Civilization by Andrew
Leonard published on wwnorton.com/write/fieldguidelinks, he argues the point that Black Friday
and Black Friday advertisements are taking away from Thanksgiving. Leonard s argument was
somewhat effective. He may have influenced American shoppers to focus less on the deals of black

of the best things to use when trying to convince people to believe something. With this specific
quote he is trying to show people just how drawn in they are. They waiting in line outside on a
holiday just to save a little bit of money, while on their cellular phones. He then declares these
acts as insanity, which makes the reader question themself on their sanity. Most of the article

The Grain of the Voice
The Grain Cinema audience often finds the connection to a film by experiencing what actors or
actresses are portraying, mainly through relating with the emotions being projected on screen.
These emotions can be presented in many forms in the realm of acting, but the voice plays the
biggest role in all of this. This could be the reason why many stars are being hailed for their
voices throughout the history of film. When discussing about voices, one could only come to
the conclusion of defining it as the spoken language; words that are released from one s mouth.
However, voices are more than just language, in fact voices and language are so different that
Barthes seeks to find and explore the gap between these two elements in his essay The Grain of
the Voice. It is this displacement that I want to outline, not with regard to the whole of music
but simply to a part of vocal music (lied or melodie): the very precise space (genre) of the
encounter between a language and a voice. I shall straightaway give a name to this signifier at
the level of which, I believe, the temptation of ethos can be liquidated (and thus the adjective
banished): the grain, the grain of the voice when the latter is in a dual posture, a dual production
of language and of music. (1977: 181) As the statement above suggest, the grain is a place where
language and voice meet, the place where both intertwine creating a new space, as Barthes would
explain, the fringe of contact between voices and language.

Management Skill Builder
Introduction
Strong management and leadership is very crucial for business success. It helps in driving
innovation, unlocking the potential of employees, as well as enabling the manager to drive growth
and productivity. It is never fast, and it is not always simple to build up depth and strength in
management or leadership capabilities. However, the possible benefits are vivid: increased
performance and profitability, improved rates of survival, and better employee wellbeing and
motivation. It is important to keep in mind that entrepreneurs are creative and innovative thinkers
who are always passionate about latest ideas (Ellis, 2005). However, in a business, management
skills are most essential for creation of a successful business that acts on ideas. Management skills
building is an ongoing process. Therefore, as a manger identify various ways of enhancing his or
her management or leadership capability, the manager should be cautious not to try changing a lot
too fast. Steady, consistent, and gradual building of management skills with one new idea
implementation at a time will most likely result to a sustained improvement and change.
Key skills that every manager should have

Drink spiking occurs when a person deliberately adds alcohol or another drug to a drink without
the knowledge of the person who will be drinking it. This means the person could become
intoxicated unexpectedly. Drinks are spiked for a number of reasons. These include amusement
or to facilitate sexual assault, rape or theft (Lievore). The couple was facing an eviction from
their landlord regarding loud noises and chaos caused on a weekend night. The couple had no
idea about the scene they caused and woke up to a complete blur. I had bruises and cuts on my
body. Everything was upside down, clothes were outside of cupboards, pictures had been thrown
on the floor. The fiancГ© who experienced identical memory gaps, was asked by his landlord to
leave the apartment because of what he feared to assume was a domestic violence case. Sexual
assault is also commonly linked with drink spiking. Estimates suggest that one third of drink
spiking incidents are associated with a sexual attack (Lievore). This couple was at a local bar on
the Gold Coast called Waxy s. They believed that their drinks were spiked and took tests to find out
for sure. The blood tests confirmed that they had been drugged and showed that they both tested
positive to methamphetamine and tranquillizer benzodiazepines. The landlord then let the couple
stay trusting that something like this would not happen again. Chances are the couple was drugged
to either sexually assault the female, or to violently assault the male. Crime is evidently a problem
on the Gold Coast. About a week before this incident the Gold Coast paramedics were called to a
large spate of drug overdoses and incidents involving 21 people who had taken synthetic
hallucinogen called N Bomb (Womens weekly). The Gold Coast most categorically faces a
problem with crime. Schoolies was approaching,

Axon Brain Case Study
An arriving action potential depolarizes the axon terminal of a presynaptic neuron. Calcium ions
enter the cytosol of the axon terminal, which results in acetylcholine release from the synaptic
vesicles by exocytosis. Ach diffuses across the synaptic cleft and binds to receptors on the
postsynaptic membrane. Sodium channels open, which produce a graded depolarization. Ach is
broken down into acetate and choline by AChE, which causes depolarization to end. The axon
terminal reabsorbs choline form the synaptic cleft and uses it to resynthesize ACh. B. Differentiate

Federalism Essay
Federalism
The Constitution of the United States was drafted at a time when our country was in dire need of
many answers to political and social questions. In addition to many other things, the drafters of the
Constitution were concerned with solidifying our central government and the Constitution was
intended to provide a solid structure from which our burgeoning nation could grow. The
Constitution gave explicit powers to the federal government and provided the states with the Tenth
Amendment which states , Powers not delegated to the United States, nor prohibited to the states,

Dual Federalism also relies on the notion that in a court of law, the Tenth Amendment gives the
states enough support to declare unconstitutional any act of the national government that infringes
on the reserved powers given to the states. Cooperative Federalism provides an entirely different
view of the relationship between the federal and state governments. Federal supremacy is the
hallmark of this ideology. Supporters of the cooperative federalist view prefer to employ a broad
interpretation of the Constitution. The legal basis on which cooperative federalism has been
argued is threefold: (1) Enumerated powers (e.g. Commerce Clause) should be interpreted in light
of an expansive Necessary and Proper Clause (2) The Supremacy Clause, as prescribed in Article 6,
paragraph 2, gives federal actions supremacy over state laws when made in pursuance of the
Constitution and when they are made using implied and enumerated powers (3) The Tenth
Amendment does not give states the power to contest federal laws. To suggest that that these two
ideologies are contradictory is an understatement. To understand which theory best identifies with
the correct interpretation of the Constitution, it is necessary to understand the circumstances that
created the necessity for a Constitution and the political circumstances that motivated decisions
contrary to the correct interpretation of the Constitution. The

Determinism And The Part It Plays With Free Will
Determinism is an idea that states that everything can be explained because it has an adequate
reason for being the way it is rather than a different way, meaning that the world has natural laws
and everything happens for a reason. This is important as many philosophers have argued between
the extent of determinismand the part it plays with free will, taking the claim that if our behavior is
governed by natural causes, we are not morally free. Everything will happen due to reasons that
have built upon themselves and bringing forth an effect, which then brings about more causes.
This is taking the case of hard determinism. This issue is very significant when talking about
ethics, as blame and morality surround free will, and if we do not have free will can we be held
responsible for our actions? Before we blame a person we must decide if they could have
refrained from what they did or if it was inevitable due to causal determinism. I believe that free
will and fatalistic/ determinism both have an effect on our human lives and the way we make our
choices, contributing to our moral freedom.
Determinism does not necessarily mean we make no choices; simply put, it is that we make our
own choices and decisions and they are part of the causal process whereby we create further effects
in the world, leading to inevitable causes. Leucippus believed that nothing occurs randomly;
everything has a specific reason. An argument for the claim is that determinism deprives us of the
power

The Red Tent By Anita Diamant
The Red Tent An Unforgettable Testimony to Women s Strength and Power
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant illuminates one of the greatest testimonies to women s strength:
childbirth. On a creative level, Diamant did something extraordinary. She took a small passage
from the Bible about the character Dinah, and made her story into an unforgettable testimony to
women s strength and power. Overlooking women s role in Biblical life is easy because there is
practically nothing written by or about women. Even though Diamant s story is fictionalized, there
is truth in showing that women did exist, that there was a very important role played by women of
that time period, and in showing the power and strength of women in a way that can never be ...

In the midst of labor, she anguishes over a secret of womanhood revealed only in childbirth; a
secret that inspired my piece of visual art, Dinah:
Why had no one told me that my body would become a battlefield, a sacrifice, a test? Why did I
not know that birth is the pinnacle where women discover the courage to become mothers? But of
course, there is no way to tell this or to hear it. Until you are the woman on the bricks, you have
no idea how death stands in the corner, ready to play his part. Until you are the woman on the

A pregnant woman is thrown into this other realm, where her strength is tested. No woman can

ETHICAL CODES AND PARTICULAR CASES2 The Florida Bar v. McAliley was a case of a
husband who is a member of The Florida Bar fighting with his wife over final order regarding
modification of custody, visitation, parental responsibility, and other issues. He claimed that their
minor child was being harmed by second hand smoke, and was told by his mother how to act
when he was with him. He filed numerous claims to the appellate court ranging from not being

overboard only thinking about himself and not considering the consequences this all had on his
ex wife and minor child. He was definitely unprofessional and even one of the judges said if
someone asks me what vexatious litigation looks like, the former husband s various filings in this
divorce case, especially his antics in these post judgment proceedings, are an excellent example
(Judge Farmer, 1997). Judges and lawyers have a higher standard to go by, if this type of action is
not tolerated when representing a client, then it definitely should not be tolerated by a lawyer in his

I Have This Nagging Feeling We Missed Something
In recent weeks all of us have been introduced to the essay What is Literacy written by Linguist
James Paul Gee in 1987. Within this document we learn Gee is going to employ his learned
linguistic skills to provide a useful definition for the word literacy. Prior to providing us this
insight, however, Gee must educate the reader on various definitions, ideas and numerous theories
in an effort to provide support for his conclusions and ultimately woo the reader into believing the
postulations he makes. Initially this is all fine and well, as Gee does an admirable job of laying out
these foundations, up and until he begins to explain how an individual obtains knowledge. It is here

savants I have seen is that they clearly know things they never learned . Treffert s belief the
knowledge these savants have obtained has always been with them is clearly evidenced as he
uses terms like factory installed , genetic memory , racial memory and ancestral memory when
attempting to explain the phenomena he has witnessed first hand. During the course of the
article Treffert goes on to cite additional studies and books written by himself as well as his peers
verifying the fact that there is no way possible for the individuals to have learned or acquired
their respective talents through normal conventions. Savants remind us there is so much about the
brain and knowledge that we still have yet to learn and this scares me. Within the article Treffert
writes about acquired savants and accidental genius and further explains at times of severe head

that should scare us all. Regardless, the savant clearly does not meet the guidelines of obtaining

Sociological Perspectives on Religion Essay example
Religion is a ritualized system of beliefs and practices related to things defined as sacred by an
organized community of believers. (Basirico et.al. 379). Religion is an important element in the
society because it influences the way individuals act and think. It has shaped the relationship and
bonding among families as well as influenced the decision made in economics and politics. Religion
in general has contributed to shape a society and a government structure which will influence the
way the individuals under certain governmental structure behave. Sociologists are interested in
religion mainly because religious belief is heavily rooted in individuals lives and it helps
sociologists to interpret human s actions, expression, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, no matter how sociologists and scientists view religion, there are a lot of people who
will still believe in their own religion and that there exists a power that science cannot explain. For
example, in an Islamic country such as Indonesia, government is organized base on what is
appropriate according to Islam. Even though, there are a lot of people questions the existence of
supernatural power and hundreds of books publish that study the scientific view of religion,
government and people in that country still believe in their religions. Students at school also
study about science and sociological perspective toward religion and almost every student still
believe in their religion and practice it in their societies. Moreover, in US where freedom of
speech is allowed and knowledge can be shared quickly by internet, every person in US knows
about scientific study of religion but Christianity is still emphasized in everyday life. People
may only view sociological and scientific perspective of religion as one of the knowledge that
need to be known but doesn t have to be practiced. Overall, the sociological study in religions
does not undermine nor strengthen one s faith. Other factors such as people who use religion to
abuse people or control over people that may have made a person to change their view toward

Nobody s Son Quotes Analysis
In nobody s son are many quotes that make you think deeply. Reading the book Nobody s son, I
found a quote that caught my eye, at first it seems complicated to understand but when I reread
it, it made sense. Home isn t just a place, I have learned. It is also a language Luis Alberto Urrea.
It is a powerful quote and it imparts a great meaning. This quote is in the first section of the
book. Urrea is talking about an interview he had in MГ©xico City. In the firsts years of his life,
Urrea did not know what a home was until Mama Chayo took care of him. Was there when he
feel like home, because in that place Urrea received the love and care that his parents could not
give to him. Where is home? What is home? It is incredible how a quote can change the way we
think. I had not thought before what a home is, until I read this quote. What a home is? Literally
thinking a home is a building, dorm or apartment where we reside, and we share with our family,
relatives or friends. A place where you spend most of your days and nights. These does... Show

reflect what would you do without your home? That was how Urrea feel when he haven t had a

Last month I released an article highlighting Dreamville singer Ari Lennox. In my opinion, Ari is

Jones Blair Case
Problem/Issue
Jones Blair is a paint company headquartered in Dallas, Texas that sells architectural paint. Jones
Blair markets its paint to fifty counties in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and eleven
county Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) metropolitan areas. Jones Blair has branded itself as having a
high end paint product. Increased R D, material, and labor cost have allowed Jones Blair to have
the highest price among competitors in its service area and still obtain a great amount of business.
Jones Blair is focused on providing architectural paint to a market that is fifty percent segmented,
which half consists of do it yourself consumers and the other fifty percent spilt among professional
painters and government contracts. Jones Blair has enjoyed dollar sales rising at an annual rate of
four percent over the past five years. Even though Jones Blair has enjoyed a successful rise in
dollar sales, it has seen a decline in the gallon volumes in DFW areas due to a rise in competition.
Jones Blair is aware that it is approaching the threshold in its prices. Jones Blair is afraid that once
the threshold price is reached, then the decline in volume sales will lead to Jones Blair
unsuccessfully meeting its sales margins. Jones Blair needs to determine how and where to adjust
marketing efforts to raise sales volume amounts in the DFW and Non DFW areas. Jones Blair
currently spends approximately three percent of net

Minds Of Killers
Inside the Minds of Killers Around the world, several new cases of serial homicides are reported
every year. (Vronsky 15). Ninety seven percent of serial murders are committed by psychopaths:
someone who lacks a conscience, feels no remorse, cares exclusively for his own pleasures and
cannot empathize with the suffering of his victims (Levin and Fox 4). The psychopathic state is
not a mental illness but is a behavioral or personality disorder (Vronsky 245). When these
behavioral components are combined with the desire to kill, an addiction is triggered and rarely
broken. The psychology of a psychopathic serial killer produces specific character traits that cannot
be altered therefore rehabilitation and imprisonment will be unsuccessful in treatment.... Show more

They do not have the same morals and thought process as normal people. Psychopaths have a
diminished capacity for fear and anxiety (Vronsky 245). Serial killers are controlled and are
aware of what they are doing and know what the possible outcomes of the crimes will be
(Vronsky 11). They know what they are doing is socially disapproved of and has strong
consequences but they do it anyways to fulfill their twisted desires. Without feeling anxiety and
fear, serial killers do not feel threatened by police and repeat their crimes. Psychopathic serial
killers also have a lack of empathy for the pain of victims and a lack of remorse (Levin and Fox 4).
Since they cannot empathize to the suffering of others, they do not have guilt during and after their
crimes and will repeat them. Their objective is to satisfy themselves, not anyone else. While they

The Inferno And What Dante
Introduction
This paper critically analyzes the character Dante in the Comedia. The paper analyzes the nature of
the journey in the Inferno and what Dante needed to learn from it. The changes that were
experienced have been analyzed in addition to the important parts of the text that are related to the
changes. Moreover, the discussion has been keen to provide relevant illustrations as the case may
be in order to emphasize on the character and the changes that are being addressed.
Discussion
The Inferno within the context of this discussion refers to the first part of Dante Alighieri s poem.
This is a chronicle of a journey to God by the leading character in the form of Dante. It is worth
noting that the journey has been split into three classical parts, each depicting the changes that are
being portrayed throughout the journey of Dante. The first part is the inferno, which is a loose
interpretation of hell and with it comes the changes that are being portrayed in the character s
story journey. The second part is the purgatorio, which can be interpreted to refer to the purgatory
of the story and the changes that occur at this point are characterized by the ever present notion of
a sense of undertaking. In this part, Dante is confronted by a series of situations in which he has
to reach a mental decision ,while at the same time taking a purge of his internal thoughts. The last
and final part of the change is depicted in Paradiso, a reference to paradise. Here, Dante has

George Washington wrote this in a letter to John Jay (Doc 3). Even the man who is immediately

run our country by, the young country would eventually break apart and the fighting of the higher

citizens, and then say that we do not require a new, a protecting, and efficient federal nation
government if you can. (Doc. 1). The American Revolution had left the United States in debt to
many different Europe countries, and since the Articles of Confederation did not allow the
United States government to tax the states it was very hard for the United States to pay those
debts back. So, to keep the credit of the United States high the debt was needed to be paid back
quickly and also so that the U.S. could be trusted as good allies, a solution was needed. The
solution that was decided on was to form a new document of guidelines for the new country and a
new strong central government to tax the states, and citizens and not have the states be nearly their
own country but rather a whole unified country. The Constitution is a proposal as big as a change
as the document which separated us from Great Britain. (Doc. 4). The new proposal of the United
States Constitution came as a big to surprise to many people about how big of a change the new
document actually was, but a big change is exactly what the country needed to solve some of the
very important problems if faced. Since the country was in such a major debt and had no way to
pay it back, things were only going to get worse, the debt we still owed to Spain had left them still

ANS:
Each programming language uses a piece of software, called a compiler or an interpreter, to
translate your program code into machine language. Machine language is also called binary
language, and is represented as a series of 0s and 1s. The compiler or interpreter that translates
your code tells you if any programming language component has been used incorrectly. Syntax
errors are relatively easy to locate and correct because the compiler or interpreter you use
highlights every syntax error. If you write a computer program using a language such as C++ but
spell one of its words incorrectly or reverse the proper order of two words, the software lets you

The Important Beliefs Celebrated at Easter and How They are Celebrated
Easter Sunday comes at the end of holy week which consists of many days which have a
significant meaning. The six weeks leading up to easter is called lent and this is celebrated by
many people giving up one of their luxuries, for example, chocolates and sweets. They do this
because they are remembering when jesus was in the desert and was tempted by the devil and
how jesus rejected his offer. During the time of lent, comes a day called ash Wednesday which
certain churches have the ceremony of putting ash on to the foreheads of people as a symbol of

Good Friday remembers how jesus was crucified which is a serious and sombre occasion. It is
called Good Friday because people remember how jesus sacrificed his own life to save mankind.
The anglican, Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches are stripped of all colourful decorations,
crosses, candles and hangings. This is to remind the worshipers of the fact that jesus felt
deserted and desolate on the cross. On Good Friday, when people attend the church, the story of
The Passion is read, and in some churches the priest will enveil a crucifix and say this is the
wood of the cross on which the saviour of the world died. The people will then walk up to the
alter to kiss the feet of the carved christ as a mark of respect. Free churches will not have the
same ritual, but they will have a service in which the Passion story is read and thanks will be
given to Jesus for going on the cross and saving humanity from their sins.
Easter Saturday is when Roman Catholic, Orthodox and many Anglican churches keep an easter

Marketing Plan For Chipotle Mexican Grill
During the fourth quarter of 2015, Chipotle s sales were significantly declined due to an E.coli
outbreak, including 14.6% decline in comparable restaurant sales. As a result of the food safety
incidents, subsequent negative publicity adversely impacted on Chipotle s restaurant sales and
profitability. In response to these incidents on their sales, Chipotle s objective is to increase
comparable restaurant sales by 5% in three years. It also aims to win back the customers and
reverse negative sales trends through product development.
Table 2 shows that the addition of new items to the menu is an opportunity for Chipotle to attract
more customers. With the weakness of limited menu options combined with the opportunity,
Chipotle can increase sales by introducing new product categories. While Chipotle Mexican Grill is
focusing on Mexican based fast food, Chipotle opened a new restaurant in 2011 called ShopHouse
Southeast Asian Kitchen, serving Asian inspired cuisine. With this newly brand concept under
Chipotle, this related diversification strategy could be the key to the company s growth in the

To Native Americans, some of the objects were created by their makers with the intent that the
objects would disintegrate naturally, so it is wrong to try to preserve those objects (67). Moreover,
Native Americans think that if the objects were to be return to them, then it is not right for
museums to tell them how to take care of the objects (72). A successful protest, for example, is the
protest against exhibits that were being set up in celebration of Columbus Quincentenary. While
Columbus is view as hero in many American s eyes, he left Native Americans with a painful
memory of enslaving and the bad treatment from the Colonists. In protesting to stop the celebration,
protestors also hoped to re educate the public about Columbus arrival in the Natives point of view

Ritualistic Ritual Abuse
Ritualistic child abuse is an extreme form of abuse that includes physical, mental, verbal, and
spiritual abuse which often includes forced sex, repeated practices, child prostitution and child
pornography (Bottoms, Shaver, Goodman, 1996). There are different forms of ritual abuse,
some containing aspects of mind control programming , hypnosis, and/or forced use of a victim
as a vessel for a malevolent demon or spirit. Ritual abuse (RA) consists of conditioning and
torture carried out in a ceremonial or calculated manner for the purpose of effecting control over
a victim s mind and behavior (Lacter, 2011). Although survivors have reported various forms of
abuse, Lacter (2011) offers a partial list of forms of ritualistic torture, including sexual abuse and
torture; electric shock; forced ingestion of offensive body fluids and matter, such as blood, urine,
feces, flesh, semen, etc.; sensory deprivation; drugs to create illusion, confusion, and amnesia;
forced to witness abuse, torture, and sacrifice of people and animals, usually with knives; forced
participation in child pornography and prostitution; spiritual abuse to cause victim to feel

The Number Four Components Of Successful Relationships
What is a relationship? A relationship is a way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people
are connected, or the state of being connected. Relationships are apart of our everyday lives. There
are professional relationships, intimate relationships, family relationships, etc. Overtime some
relationships grow stronger and some fall apart. In order to maintain or create a strong relationship,
you need communication, commonalities, respect, and trust.
While all four components of successful relationships are important, the number one key to a strong
relationship is communication. In a relationship you it s important to discuss your wants, needs,
feelings, etc. They are very important because if you hold everything in, the other person

The Lewis And Clark Expedition Crew
#14:Winter The lewis and clark expedition crew stopped for the winter along a small river, south
of the Columbia. They built a fort, fort Clatsop which was named after the closest tribe of native
Americans at that time. During the winter, they didn t have a lot of adventurous activities to fill
their time with, so they devoted their time to making moccasins, buckskin clothing, storing their
food, and wring out unfinished maps and journaling their thoughts and findings. Their everyday
life was filled with gloomy, wet, poor weather. Their food wasn t any better, bad stringy elk with
bitter indigenous roots. The Captains wanted to trade with an oncoming ship for food and
supplies. Ships from the U.S. ports and Britain frequently stopped at the mouth of the Columbia .
One actually did stop. They traded with the Indians but the Indians didn t tell the expedition team.

Comparative Essay
Pamela Speed Alison Teichgraeber English 1301 October 10, 2010 A Look into the Life of Hip
Hop The misunderstood subculture of music that many have come to know as hip hop is given a
critical examination by James McBride in his essay Hip Hop Planet. McBride provides the reader
with direct insight into the influence that hip hop music has played in his life, as well as the lives
of the American society. From the capitalist freedom that hip hop music embodies to the disjointed
families that plague this country, McBride explains that hip hop music has a place for everyone.
The implications that he presents in this essay about hip hop music suggest that this movement
symbolizes and encapsulates the struggle of various individual on... Show more content on

In his short overview of the origination of the Sugar Hill Gang in the mid 1970 s, the author
makes it apparent the hip hop grew out of necessity due to lack of funding in the art programs in
New York City school system. This neoclassical movement of the mid 1970 s grew like a
wildflower that sprouts through the cracks of a modern day concrete jungle. One of the more
interesting implications that are presented in the later parts of this essay is the economic
ramifications of the hip hop culture. McBride paints the picture of a lower income Caucasian
American teenager in Dayton, Ohio who finds truth in the story of hip hop. McBride notes:
Henry is a model American teenager and the prototypical consumer at which the hip hop
industry is squarely aimed, which has his parents sitting up in their seats. The music that was
once the purview of black America has gone white and gone commercial all at once. A sea of
white faces now rises up to greet rap groups as they perform, many of the teenagers like Henry, a
NASCAR fanatic and self described redneck (468) The connection that is drawn between the
formerly economically challenged rapper and the child whose parent works two jobs, and can t
pay his child s college tuition is paramount in making this point. The illusion of the American
dream is set through many hip hop songs. The picture of the evolution of the rags to riches story is
set by many rappers in current hip hop culture, this picture is the basic premise

Satire In Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles
Satire walks a fine line between funny and not. If the audience does not understand the true
intentions of a satirical film then it is often seen as being offensive. Satire is designed to bring
attention to serious issues by making fun of them. Due to the nature of subjects often broached in
satirical films people often mistake them for supporting the very ideals they are trying to bring
attention to. This can be seen in Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles as the characters will often say very
offensive things and if one did not understand that it was all meant to be taken with a few grains of
salt then they would interpret the movie as being extremely offensive. Due to satires ability to bring
attention to the difficult issues in societies it is

Essay on The Environments of the Earliest Australopithecus
Background and goals
The conditions in which bipedal locomotion emerged are still unresolved. However they are all
closely dependent on environment reconstructions. This project will contribute to the scientific
community s understanding of the environments of the earliest Australopithecine.
Australopithecus anamensis is the earliest species of the genus and the first indisputably bipedal
hominid. According to paleoecological analyses (isotopes, fauna, soils, etc) (2,3), these hominids
were generalists who lived in mosaic environments , e.g. a mix of habitat types. However, the
specifics of the exploitation of the environments by the hominids need to be further
explored.Understanding the conditions of local environments is essential ... Show more content on

Also, it has been reported that a number of bones of the Kanapoi collection show carnivore
induced damage . In addition, Allia Bay and Kanapoi yielded A. anamensis remains, but Mursi has
not. Does the Mursi collection differ from the two others, and if so how?
Methods
Because of the antiquity of the Pliocene environments, the only remaining witnesses of the
behaviours are the bones and the stones. One of the main approaches to this type of issue is using
the faunal remains. They are more abundant than the hominid fossils, and some indicator species
are excellent proxies for paleoecological inferences. In addition, we can study their taphonomic
signature, i.e. the processes that affect a bone between the death of the animal and its discovery as
a fossil, and how these processes affect information in the fossil record (6). By looking at the
different kinds of traces (grooves, cuts, abrasions, or any physical or chemical deformation) on a
bone, a researcher can study its individual history. By identifying these traces on all animal fossils
collected from a particular site, we can address the question of what the local environment was
like. To evaluate taphonomy, the researcher looks at the surface of each bone with a handheld
magnifying lens and records the type and intensity of the traces on each bone. Extant floral and
geological data will also be exploited.
Schedule and Materials
Taphonomy is unique among

Jem Finch Character Development
To Kill a Mockingbird was written by Harper Lee and was published in 1960. This story occurs
in the 1930 s. The story is told in first person participant as told by Scout Finch. The story takes
place in Maycomb county Alabama. There are many impotent characters who play a crucial role on
the evolution in the story.
There are six main characters who play a role in the development of the story. These six
characters are Scout Finch, Jem Finch, Atticus, Tom Robinson, Calpurnia and Boo Radley. Scout
Finch is the daughter of Atticus Finch and she is a central character. She is controlling, a genius
and is a tom boy. The story would be radically different without her. Jem is Scout s older brother, he
is a teenager, loves football and he takes care ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The expedition starts with introducing Maycomb county to the reader. Next the book introduces
the reader to the Finch family. This is when Scout, Jem and Atticus become central characters.
After this the book tells the reader about the Ewell family, they are not such good news. Around
the same time Scout, Jem and Dill (their friend) play the Boo Radley game. Conflicts arise in the
story when Scout, Jem and Dill start to annoy Boo Radley, their quiet neighbor. Action picks up
when Tom Robinson (black man) is arrested for allegedly beating Mayella Ewell (white woman).
Atticus Finch is a lawyer in town and he takes on Tom Robinson s case. To Kill a Mockingbird
reaches a climax when Tom Robinson is wrongly convicted of the crime. Atticus made the jury
stay out for a while to think about their decision. Ultimately Tom gets convicted, he tried to
escape prison but he got shot by the guards. This is a turning point in the story because a lot of
people are mad at Atticus, specifically Bob Ewell. Atticus undermined Bob s character during
the trial accusing Bob of committing the crime. The falling action consists of a false sense that
things are calming down in the Maycomb community but that all changes when Bob Ewell
attacks Scout and Jem on a night near Halloween. He attacks them with a kitchen knife. Boo
Radley came to the rescue and killed Bob. During the scuffle, Jem s arm gets broken in this
ordeal. The story ends with an unexpected meeting between two characters. Bob gets stabbed by
Boo but Mr. Tate(sheriff) says that Bob fell on his own knife. Mr. Tate does this so Boo does not
need to go to court. After overhearing this conversation, Scout decides to walk Boo home and he

The Politics Of Mexico And China
Mexico has been a democracy for close to 100 years, however, in practice, it is only now going
through a democratic transition (ONSF). The dislodging of an authoritarian political party from
presidency in 2000 made many optimistic about Mexico s move towards democracy. Similarly,
China, a fractured authoritarian state, has been showing increasing signs of democracy. Due to its
economic and political trends, many argue that China is well on its way towards becoming a
democracy. However, despite these trends, there is a problem in that the politics in both Mexico
and China remain riddled with corruption. This complex issue raises the question of why corruption
persists in both Mexico and China despite their movements towards democracy. This... Show more

For over 70 years, Mexico was controlled by the PRI, an authoritarian regime that led with co
option, inclusion, and corruption (ONFS). A key element of their power was patron client
relationships, in which bureaucrats delivered services in exchange for support; in other words,
bureaucratic corruption was the norm. These relationships were allowed and perpetuated by weak
governmental laws. Although the PRI is no longer the dominating political party, the PRI maintains
enormous power at both state and local level (Carpenter). As a result, Mexico s government has put
in little effort toward improving the pseudo democratic foundations upon which its ability to rule
was established. Instead of reforming the structure of rule that promoted clientelism, they
focused on keeping certain people out of office (Corruption in Mexico). Because of this lack of
reform, structures that allow old style political machines are still effective, making corruption
still common place. An example of a structural flaw in the Mexican government is the law that
prevents re election (ONFS). Although this practice was recently reformed, without a chance at
re election, political leaders often felt like they had nothing to lose and were more likely to take
bribes in exchange for political favors (Agren). The source of the problem is that Mexico is still
recovering from a system that was based on

by helping them enhance their wellbeing and providing them with useful resources that
accommodated their needs. After my internship was complete, I have continued to volunteer each

For the last two weeks in class we have touched upon the topic of colonizing.we come to this
topic point by reading four different text to the virginian voyage , robinson crusoe , the white

the following text of class to concentrate on and to answer three questions that was given to us. In
which i pick to the virginian voyage by michael drayton to focus on. The questions given was 1.)
how do colonizers see themselves? , 2.) how do the colonizer see their mission in colonizing the

part after this it says where nature hath in store fowle, venison, and fish and the fruitfull st

s going to be more food and good weather for harvest. Another example to show that the
colonizer believed it was going to be a perfect land was in stanza nine it s where as the lushious
smell of that delicious land , above the seas that flowers, the cleere wind throwes, your hearts to
swell approaching the deare stand. to sum that up he believes that the land will have nice weather
and beautiful land fulled with flower. And with all of this they belive once they get there its all
theirs, which leads us to the third question. Third question that was given to us was how do the
colonizers think that the colonized see them? . I claimed that the colonized are not there but the
people from their old country are. I claim this because they think no one is there at all. For

Women s Role In Ancient Rome
Role of Women in Ancient Rome Women in ancient Rome played a vital role in the transition of
political power in the roman government. Although the Roman women were not allowed to
formally hold office or vote, they often were influencing their men in regard to political decisions.
These women were typically working in the background and although they may not get the explicit
mention they deserve in historical texts, without their actions Rome may have had a very different
outcome. In Livy s The History of Rome, three instances involving women had a significant impact
on the development of the Roman government. In Livy s first book of The History of Rome, he

The Wire And Not Plato
It s all in the game. Though these words belong to the nefarious Omar Little of HBO s critically

akin to Plato s allegory of the cave and the shadows that it casts. That being said, I will make the
argument that anyone who doesn t play by the rules of the game or tries to alter it, much like the
prisoner who sees the light and goes back to aid his fellow prisoners, will be rejected. The only
means of retaining a livelihood in the context of the Wire and its characters is to remain in the

History Of Wrestling Essay
Wrestling represents one of the oldest forms of combat. The origins of wrestling goes back 15,000
years through cave drawings in France. Here are the four old types of wrestling. Greco Roman
wrestling soon became prestigious in continental Europe and was the first style registered at the
modern Olympic Games, beginning in Athens in 1896 with one heavyweight bout, and grew in
popularity during the 20th century. Another form of wrestling is freestyle wrestling. Freestyle is a

Analysis Of James Joyce s Dubliners
Point of view (the perspective from which a story is told) has a significant role in how the
characters and events in a given story are analyzed. The readers response to the literature
depends greatly on the position of the author and/or narrator; whether he is on the outside
looking in, or vise versa. The use of point of view also allows the author to convey a certain
message or belief by allowing for other literary elements such as irony and sympathy . The point of
view in literature is one of the central focuses for interpretation. Dubliners, by James Joyce is an
outstanding example of how the use of point of view influences how characters and events are
interpreted. Joyce writes the first three stories of Dubliners in the first person point of view, the
rest are told in there person. Taking a look at a few of the short stories , Araby , Eveline , and Clay
, it is obvious that Joyce s choice of narration as well as the complexity of how he carries out those
narrations plays a significant role in the analysis of his work.
Araby is told in first person, from the point of view of the protagonist. Despite the first person
narration in Araby , Joyce does little to convince readers that the story is told from a boy s
perspective. On the contrary, actually, the narratorseemingly has the maturity of a man certainly
beyond the experience of the narrator of the story. Joyce s way of narrating this story gives readers
the ability to clearly identify the distress that

Politics Is The Practice And Theory Of Power And Resources...
Politics (from Greek: ПЂОїО»О№П„О№ОєПЊП‚ politikos, definition of, for, or relating to

common decision for a group of people, that is, a uniform decision applying in the same way to all
members of the group. It also involves the use of power by one person to affect the behavior of
another person. More narrowly, it refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance
organized control over a human community, particularly a state. Furthermore, politicsis the study or

Formal Politics refers to the operation of a constitutional system of government and publicly
defined institutions and procedures.[1] Political parties, public policy or discussions about war and
foreign affairs would fall under the category of Formal Politics.[1] Many people view formal
politics as something outside of themselves, but that can still affect their daily lives.[1]
Informal Politics is understood as forming alliances, exercising power and protecting and
advancing particular ideas or goals. Generally, this includes anything affecting one s daily life,
such as the way an office or household is managed, or how one person or group exercises
influence over another.[1] Informal Politics is typically understood as everyday politics, hence the
idea that politics is everywhere .[1]

  • 4. The Catholic Church A. Rationale and Preliminary Research I investigated Satan in the Catholic church; who he is and how he is described. I have a previous knowledge of the Catholic faith because I used to attend mass as a child, and because most of my family is catholic and practicing. Satan is a very popular symbol talked about in society, yet what is said does not seem very educated, so I wanted to learn more about who Catholicism states Satan is, from the people who follow the faith. Firstly, I researched the Catholic church broadly. I found a very dependable source from the official Vatican Church, The Holy See website, which had the Catechism of the Catholic Church using scriptures. The source contained verses from the bible descripting Satan. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Finally, the final article is an online website of easy to find bible verses, called Bible Tools. I searched for Satan a Murderer to find bible verses concerning that, and it also contains explanations of those verses coming from the Church of the Great God. B. Plan for Study This investigation will seek to examine how Satan is perceived in the adherents of the Catholic faith. The scope of this investigation will include how Satan is described in Catholicism, by his different names. The plan will be to use different online sources that explain Satan. The Catholic faith has specific names for Satan that will be researched and examined. The names tell how Catholics see Satan and how they view his actions. Many of the online sources will be written by well known adherents of the Catholic faith (two of Christian faith, but correspond to that of Catholic teachings.) The sources researched and analyzed will explain how Satan is viewed in Catholicism, answering my research question. C. Summary of Significant Findings In the beginning, Satan was created good by God and to be an angel, known as Lucifer. Satan led other angels to turn against God to have more power over his kingdom. But, the power of God will always triumph over that of Satan, (Saunders, Rev. William, 2003). So, God cast the demons and Satan to hell; also found that they were cast back to earth. The reason the Son of God appeared was to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. What Is Josiah Strong s Ideology Josiah Strong and his ideology compared to Nazi ideology Josiah Strong s and Hitler s (Nazi) Ideology have many similarities and differences. Both ideologies subscribe to some of the same social and political theories and have many points of comparison and interest. First of all, both Strong and Hitler subscribed to theories of racial hierarchy and social Darwinism. Interestingly, although both believed their races to be the superior there was some mutual respect between the two. Hitler admiring the British empire and having good relations with the royal family and Strong referring to the German Race as one of the noblest (even though living at different times in history) Strong believed Protestant Christianity was the most powerful force for civilizing peoples all over the world, and he believed that people of Anglo Saxon origin were the best positioned to civilize the rest of the world. • 6. New York Stock Exchange Essay On May 17, 1792 24 stock brokers signed the Buttonwood Agreement on Wall Street in New York City under a Buttonwood tree. The agreement formed a centralized exchange that eliminated the need for auctioneers. It also set up rules for the trading of public bonds that were used to pay for the American Revolution. In 1817, a formal organization was setup and named the New York Stock Exchange Board. In 1863 it was renamed the New York Stock Exchange and in 1903 it moved to its present headquarters at 18 Broad Street. During the 19th century, most of the things traded in the Stock Exchange were government bonds. Few corporations were in existence during this time but they were primarily banks that people could buy and sell stocks. Over the centuries more companies joined the exchange with the railroad industry dominating the market through the 20th century. The invention of the telegraph allowed for easier trading and membership expansion. The current membership is limited to 1,300. Similar to Hinduism affecting our lives, so has it affected his to an extent, which can also be seen by the fact that he has incorporated Hindu themes throughout the Star Wars film. This essay will explain, through different examples, the way Lucas has pushed Hinduism into this movie. In the movie, The Empire Strikes Back, it seems to portray some type of Hinduism in the first parts. Moreover, In the scene when Luke Skywalkergoes to find Yoda. As he arrives, Skywalker finds himself in a swamp or forest, trying to find an old and wise master Yoda to learn the ways of the force. Later in that scene Luke gets a vision that his friends are in great danger. Luke then prepares to departure to go save his friends. Yoda persuades him not to go by saying that he must finish his training first because it is more important. This specifies on the Hindu concept of job over blood. The duty over blood lesson can be looked as examples in readings found in the Bhagavad Gita, where Krishna tells Arjuna to battle his cousin in spite of his emotions for them, it is his job to do so. Towards the end of the training session, as Luke begins to leave, Ben Kenobi tells Luke to never give into anger and hatred. This lesson is also taught by Gandhi, which is explained in Hinduism. • 8. The Relationship among Islam and Human Rights The relationship among Islam and human rights shapes a significant feature of modern international human rights debates. In present international events there is more relevant topics made about Islam than in international law discourse. Professor Abdullahi An Na im is a scholar on this topic who have written journals and books related to this subject. Muslims support that governments have a responsibility to enforce law. In Islamthe people are not independent; God alone is sovereign. Human rights, therefore, are to be enforced only as they reflect divine law. Rights approved by God in the Koran are seen as unquestionable. There is a major similarity between the rights proclaimed through international law. But where there is a difference, then Islamic law is to be obeyed. On the other hand, few Muslims argue that the standards of Islam encourage gender equality, but governments that have required effecting Islamic law have distinguished between the rights of men and women. Moreover, Islamic teaching justifies this distinction by arguing that men and women have rights equal with their different roles and responsibilities in society. First, the reason that Muslims argue for cultural legitimacy in debates addressing international human rights law is because international human rights laws are not comprehensive of the values and organizations of non Western societies and so these societies are less likely to apply with these laws. Islamic thought on human rights are apart from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dionysus chooses to castigate the willful young king by driving the women of the city into a bloodthirsty turmoil, including Pentheus own mother. In an intense and violent scene, she leads the other women in ripping him limb from limb, too deranged to see that it is her own son being killed. However, the story that leads up to this is full of encounters that show where Pentheus went wrong. To avoid a tragic demise according to Euripides, one must know their own limits and be aware of the finiteness of human life, on top of obeying the gods. Pentheus did none of these. We are unlikely to come across a mortal embodiment of a god, yet Euripides begs us to consider the frailty of our own mortality. It does not to do to dwell on whatever human power we may consider important. Even Teiresias begs Pentheus to not be so certain that power is what matters in the life of a man (lines 333 334). In the essay, Black Friday: Consumerism Minus Civilization by Andrew Leonard published on wwnorton.com/write/fieldguidelinks, he argues the point that Black Friday and Black Friday advertisements are taking away from Thanksgiving. • 11. The Grain of the Voice The Grain Cinema audience often finds the connection to a film by experiencing what actors or actresses are portraying, mainly through relating with the emotions being projected on screen. These emotions can be presented in many forms in the realm of acting, but the voice plays the biggest role in all of this. This could be the reason why many stars are being hailed for their voices throughout the history of film. When discussing about voices, one could only come to the conclusion of defining it as the spoken language; words that are released from one s mouth. However, voices are more than just language, in fact voices and language are so different that Barthes seeks to find and explore the gap between these two elements in his essay The Grain of the Voice. It is this displacement that I want to outline, not with regard to the whole of music but simply to a part of vocal music (lied or melodie): the very precise space (genre) of the encounter between a language and a voice. I shall straightaway give a name to this signifier at the level of which, I believe, the temptation of ethos can be liquidated (and thus the adjective banished): the grain, the grain of the voice when the latter is in a dual posture, a dual production of language and of music. (1977: 181) As the statement above suggest, the grain is a place where language and voice meet, the place where both intertwine creating a new space, as Barthes would explain, the fringe of contact between voices and language. ... Drink spiking occurs when a person deliberately adds alcohol or another drug to a drink without the knowledge of the person who will be drinking it. This means the person could become intoxicated unexpectedly. Drinks are spiked for a number of reasons. These include amusement or to facilitate sexual assault, rape or theft (Lievore). The couple was facing an eviction from their landlord regarding loud noises and chaos caused on a weekend night. The couple had no idea about the scene they caused and woke up to a complete blur. I had bruises and cuts on my body. Everything was upside down, clothes were outside of cupboards, pictures had been thrown on the floor. The fiancГ© who experienced identical memory gaps, was asked by his landlord to leave the apartment because of what he feared to assume was a domestic violence case. Sexual assault is also commonly linked with drink spiking. Estimates suggest that one third of drink spiking incidents are associated with a sexual attack (Lievore). This couple was at a local bar on the Gold Coast called Waxy s. They believed that their drinks were spiked and took tests to find out for sure. The blood tests confirmed that they had been drugged and showed that they both tested positive to methamphetamine and tranquillizer benzodiazepines. The landlord then let the couple stay trusting that something like this would not happen again. Chances are the couple was drugged to either sexually assault the female, or to violently assault the male. Crime is evidently a problem on the Gold Coast. About a week before this incident the Gold Coast paramedics were called to a large spate of drug overdoses and incidents involving 21 people who had taken synthetic hallucinogen called N Bomb (Womens weekly). Calcium ions enter the cytosol of the axon terminal, which results in acetylcholine release from the synaptic vesicles by exocytosis. In addition to many other things, the drafters of the Constitution were concerned with solidifying our central government and the Constitution was intended to provide a solid structure from which our burgeoning nation could grow. Dual Federalism also relies on the notion that in a court of law, the Tenth Amendment gives the states enough support to declare unconstitutional any act of the national government that infringes on the reserved powers given to the states. Cooperative Federalism provides an entirely different view of the relationship between the federal and state governments. Federal supremacy is the hallmark of this ideology. Supporters of the cooperative federalist view prefer to employ a broad interpretation of the Constitution. The legal basis on which cooperative federalism has been argued is threefold: (1) Enumerated powers (e.g. Commerce Clause) should be interpreted in light of an expansive Necessary and Proper Clause (2) The Supremacy Clause, as prescribed in Article 6, paragraph 2, gives federal actions supremacy over state laws when made in pursuance of the Constitution and when they are made using implied and enumerated powers (3) The Tenth Amendment does not give states the power to contest federal laws. To suggest that that these two ideologies are contradictory is an understatement. • 20. Determinism And The Part It Plays With Free Will Determinism is an idea that states that everything can be explained because it has an adequate reason for being the way it is rather than a different way, meaning that the world has natural laws and everything happens for a reason. This is important as many philosophers have argued between the extent of determinismand the part it plays with free will, taking the claim that if our behavior is governed by natural causes, we are not morally free. Everything will happen due to reasons that have built upon themselves and bringing forth an effect, which then brings about more causes. This is taking the case of hard determinism. This issue is very significant when talking about ethics, as blame and morality surround free will, and if we do not have free will can we be held responsible for our actions? Before we blame a person we must decide if they could have refrained from what they did or if it was inevitable due to causal determinism. I believe that free will and fatalistic/ determinism both have an effect on our human lives and the way we make our choices, contributing to our moral freedom. Determinism does not necessarily mean we make no choices; simply put, it is that we make our own choices and decisions and they are part of the causal process whereby we create further effects in the world, leading to inevitable causes. Leucippus believed that nothing occurs randomly; everything has a specific reason. An argument for the claim is that determinism deprives us of the power ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On a creative level, Diamant did something extraordinary. Overlooking women s role in Biblical life is easy because there is practically nothing written by or about women. Why did I not know that birth is the pinnacle where women discover the courage to become mothers? But of course, there is no way to tell this or to hear it. Until you are the woman on the bricks, you have no idea how death stands in the corner, ready to play his part. Machine language is also called binary language, and is represented as a series of 0s and 1s. The compiler or interpreter that translates your code tells you if any programming language component has been used incorrectly. Syntax errors are relatively easy to locate and correct because the compiler or interpreter you use highlights every syntax error. If you write a computer program using a language such as C++ but spell one of its words incorrectly or reverse the proper order of two words, the software lets you know that it found a mistake by displaying an error message as soon as you try to translate the program. This is to remind the worshipers of the fact that jesus felt deserted and desolate on the cross. On Good Friday, when people attend the church, the story of The Passion is read, and in some churches the priest will enveil a crucifix and say this is the wood of the cross on which the saviour of the world died. The people will then walk up to the alter to kiss the feet of the carved christ as a mark of respect. Free churches will not have the same ritual, but they will have a service in which the Passion story is read and thanks will be given to Jesus for going on the cross and saving humanity from their sins. As a result of the food safety incidents, subsequent negative publicity adversely impacted on Chipotle s restaurant sales and profitability. In response to these incidents on their sales, Chipotle s objective is to increase comparable restaurant sales by 5% in three years. It also aims to win back the customers and reverse negative sales trends through product development. Table 2 shows that the addition of new items to the menu is an opportunity for Chipotle to attract more customers. With the weakness of limited menu options combined with the opportunity, Chipotle can increase sales by introducing new product categories. While Chipotle Mexican Grill is focusing on Mexican based fast food, Chipotle opened a new restaurant in 2011 called ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, serving Asian inspired cuisine. With this newly brand concept under Chipotle, this related diversification strategy could be the key to the company s growth in the future. In his short overview of the origination of the Sugar Hill Gang in the mid 1970 s, the author makes it apparent the hip hop grew out of necessity due to lack of funding in the art programs in New York City school system. This neoclassical movement of the mid 1970 s grew like a wildflower that sprouts through the cracks of a modern day concrete jungle. One of the more interesting implications that are presented in the later parts of this essay is the economic ramifications of the hip hop culture. McBride paints the picture of a lower income Caucasian American teenager in Dayton, Ohio who finds truth in the story of hip hop. McBride notes: Henry is a model American teenager and the prototypical consumer at which the hip hop industry is squarely aimed, which has his parents sitting up in their seats. The music that was once the purview of black America has gone white and gone commercial all at once. A sea of white faces now rises up to greet rap groups as they perform, many of the teenagers like Henry, a NASCAR fanatic and self described redneck (468) The connection that is drawn between the formerly economically challenged rapper and the child whose parent works two jobs, and can t pay his child s college tuition is paramount in making this point. However they are all closely dependent on environment reconstructions. This project will contribute to the scientific community s understanding of the environments of the earliest Australopithecine. Australopithecus anamensis is the earliest species of the genus and the first indisputably bipedal hominid. According to paleoecological analyses (isotopes, fauna, soils, etc) (2,3), these hominids were generalists who lived in mosaic environments , e.g. a mix of habitat types. In addition, Allia Bay and Kanapoi yielded A. anamensis remains, but Mursi has not. Does the Mursi collection differ from the two others, and if so how? Methods Because of the antiquity of the Pliocene environments, the only remaining witnesses of the behaviours are the bones and the stones. One of the main approaches to this type of issue is using the faunal remains. They are more abundant than the hominid fossils, and some indicator species are excellent proxies for paleoecological inferences. In addition, we can study their taphonomic signature, i.e. the processes that affect a bone between the death of the animal and its discovery as a fossil, and how these processes affect information in the fossil record (6). By looking at the different kinds of traces (grooves, cuts, abrasions, or any physical or chemical deformation) on a bone, a researcher can study its individual history. By identifying these traces on all animal fossils collected from a particular site, we can address the question of what the local environment was like. To evaluate taphonomy, the researcher looks at the surface of each bone with a handheld magnifying lens and records the type and intensity of the traces on each bone. Extant floral and geological data will also be exploited. Schedule and Materials Taphonomy is unique among ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A key element of their power was patron client relationships, in which bureaucrats delivered services in exchange for support; in other words, bureaucratic corruption was the norm. These relationships were allowed and perpetuated by weak governmental laws. Although the PRI is no longer the dominating political party, the PRI maintains enormous power at both state and local level (Carpenter). As a result, Mexico s government has put in little effort toward improving the pseudo democratic foundations upon which its ability to rule was established. Instead of reforming the structure of rule that promoted clientelism, they focused on keeping certain people out of office (Corruption in Mexico).
