Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

In precedenza ha lavorato a migrazioni e corsi di formazione su LibreOffice per diverse amministrazioni pubbliche e privati. Da gennaio 2020 lavora in SUSE come Software Release Engineer per Uyuni e SUSE Manager e quando non segue la sua passione per i computer e per Geeko coltiva la sua curiosità per l'astronomia (da cui deriva il suo nickname deneb_alpha).

Color intro
- 1. The spectrum is the colors of the rainbow arranged in their natural order: Red - Orange - Yellow - Green - Blue - Purple - Indigo.
- 2. Red, Yellow and Blue are the primary colors. These are the three basic colors that are used to mix all hues. Orange, Green and Purple are the secondary colors. They are achieved by mixing two primary colors together.
- 3. Tertiary colors are more complex hues that are achieved by mixing primary and secondary colors that are adjacent on the color wheel.
- 5. Complimentary colors: Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel (red and green for example).
- 6. When using pastels, avoid using brown and black as much as possible. Mix your dark values on your drawing with your primary or secondary colors. Mixing complimentary colors creates brown. The areas of shadow in this pastel drawing are achieved by mixing hues, not by adding black or brown.
- 7. Unlike charcoal, excessive blending with your fingers or paper towel will dull the effect of the colors!
- 8. Our first step in-class is to make our own color wheels.
