Colour is...
a powerful tool
tied to LIFE to CULTURE.
They are the only hues that can’t be
created by mixing any other colors
together.
In pigments painting are pure red,
pure yellow, and pure blue.
Printer inks and digital primaries are
referred to as cyan, yellow and magenta.
In our classroom we are going to use
these colours.
When you combine any two of the
Primary Hues, you get three new
mixtures called Secondary Colours.
Blue/Cyan + Yellow = GREEN
Yellow + Red = ORANGE
Red + Blue/Cyan = VIOLET or PURPLE
It is an abstract
illustrative
organization
of hues around a
circle, which shows
the relationships
between them.
Cool colours include different
shades of blue, green and purple.
Blue is in their composition.
On a colour wheel, cool colours
are on one side of it.
They emite a calming effect.
Warm colours include different
shades of yellow, orange and
red/magenta.
On a colour wheel, warm colours
are on the other side of it.
They emite a energizing effect.
