Analysis Of Leslie Bricusse s Feeling Good
An anthem of triumph, Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse s Feeling Good, has traversed the
generations with its inspirational and timeless lyrics. Since its debut in the 1960s musical The Roar of
the Greasepaint The Smell of the Crowd, the song Feeling Good has been covered by dozens of
notable artists. Among them are Nina Simone and Avicii featuring the vocals of Audra Mae. The song
originates from a scene in the musical sung by the character The Negro after he wins the game [of life]
in spite of the abuse and racism he experiences at the hands of the musical s main characters. In the
same year of its Broadway premiere, Nina Simone recorded her own version of the song for her album
I Put a Spell on You. Simone s iconic rendition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like Grant, Simone uses vibrato throughout the song. However, while Grant has a steadily low pitch,
Simone has an almost magical voice that manages to flawlessly fluctuate between both high and low
pitches throughout the song. It is this technique that gives the song a strong emotional texture. Where
Grant s voice sounded desperately triumphant over hardships, Simone s sounds eagerly hopeful for a
bright new future. Simone makes the song her own even more with her dynamic techniques. Unlike
Grant who built up a crescendo throughout the song, Simone keeps a relatively steady volume until
the climax when she concludes the song powerfully loud. Another way that Grant and Simone s
versions differ is the way the timbre is altered by their accompaniments. Simone has a typical jazz
band accompanying her that is very heavy in the brass department with its trumpet, trombone, and
tuba. It also is heavy with piano and a little bit of drums that all come together to create a bright and
energetic tone that helps one feel empowered just by hearing the song.
In one of the song s more recent covers, American singer Audra Mae has a steadily high pitch in
contrast to Grant s bass range and Simone s both low and high range vocals. Nevertheless, Audra Mae
s wavering voice pays a beautiful homage to both Grant and Simone s versions of the song. However,
it s the techno accompaniment performed by Swedish DJ Avicii that truly gives the song

Vincent Van Gogh And His Life
In essence of this twenty first (21st) Century, the life of Vincent Van Gogh; has become more of a
legend with a substantial figure among painters and western art in the society today. Vincent Van Gogh
is said to be a person with persevering characteristics due to all the failures he encountered in his
career path from being a minister like his father to dealing in arts like his uncle (Blumer,2002) before
becoming the successful painter, we all acknowledge in the world today. However, Vincent Van Gogh
is practically known to be the subject discussed in midst of artists, historians, and psychologists
worldwide based on his artworks, his mental health issues and cutting off his left ear.
In brief, Vincent Willem Van Gogh is a well known Dutch post impressionist painter, born to an
austere country ministering father, and an artistic mother on March 30, 1853, in Groot Zundert,
Netherlands, and died as a result of gunshot wound to the chest in the arms of his brother Theo on July
29, 1890 in Auvers sur Oise, France (Vincent, n.d.). In the wake of recent discoveries, there have been
speculations whether the death of Vincent Van Gogh was a suicidal or murderous act; which implies
whether Van Gogh shot himself or someone else did (Smith Naifeh, 2014). It is believed the death of
Van Gogh is yet a mystery basically lingering around to be solved. Nevertheless, Vincent Van Gogh
was the oldest of his siblings, three sisters and two brothers; despite the fact his mother lost her

The Civil Rights Movement from 1954 to 1968 Essay
It was a hard time, and for many black persons, it seemed as if all the broken promises of
Reconstruction were epitomized in the actions of the Supreme Court of the United States. Ever since
the 1870 s, the Court had been eviscerating the congressional legislation and constitutional
amendments that had been established at the height of Reconstruction to protect some of the basic
citizenship rights of black people. 1954 was a new time and more than tears and words were needed.
Just about everyone that was black and alive at the time realized that the long, hard struggles, led by
the NAACP, had forced the Supreme Court to take a major stand on the side of justice in the Brown v.
Board of Education of Topeka decision. We ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Martin Luther King Jr. becomes leader of the 12 œ month boycott. In November of 1956, the U.S.
Supreme Court rules the Montgomery s segregated bus system is unconstitutional. Although the
Brown ruling of 1954 was a unanimous decision, the American public s reactions to it varied greatly.
In the North, where segregated schooling was not a matter of public policy, blacks viewed the decision
as a victory for equality. Most whites in Northern states felt that the decision had little meaning for
them. In the South, however, many whites viewed the Court s decision as an intrusion of the federal
government into their way of life. Southerner s pointed out that the North, too, was segregated. Black
people in the South were profoundly affected by the court decision. Many felt for the first time that the
government might be on their side, and that it might now be possible to throw off years of oppression.
But a year passed before the Court delivered its instructions on just how school desegregation was to
be implemented. When the Court s directions in what has to be known as Brown II were summarized
in the phrase with all deliberate speed, many black people were disappointed and felt that the
government would not support desegregation. In 1957, the Little Rock School Board decides to admit
nine black students to its Central High School. The Governor calls out the National Guard

Write An Essay On Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (Brown, 2015). When he was at
the age of 8 he contracted Chorea, a disease that causes involuntary, unpredictable body movements,
so Warhol was confined to bed. During his recovery he was taught to draw by his mother (Brown,
2015). He developed a love for drawing, and he started to draw in his spare time. As soon as he got
healthy he decided to take up photography. He went on to graduate high school and enroll in Carnegie
Institute of Technology where he studied commercial art (Brown, 2015).
Warhol later became a leading figure in the 1950s visual art movement known as pop art. In 1961
Warhol revealed the concept of pop art (Brown, 2015). He showcased an art piece that focused on
mass produced commercial goods. It was an art form that no one had ever seen before. People became
fascinated with him and his artwork. In 1962 Warhol became most famous when he showcased his
ionic paintings of Campbell s soup cans (Brown, 2015). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

compelling way; it was something everyone could relate to. Campbell soup is universal its something
that everyone can have. From a king to an average person, everyone enjoys soup and its something
that s affordable. Some people don t understand why Warhol painted pictures depicting Campbell
soup. But the reason behind his painting is that he genuinely liked Campbell soup a lot, and he wanted
to paint it. When Andy Warhol was asked why he painted Campbell Soup cans he said, I used to drink
it. I used to have the same lunch everyday, for twenty years the same thing over and over again
(Miller, 2015). It was something he loved and wanted to paint which is why his Campbell soup cans

Essay on Achilles as the Hero of Homer’s Iliad
Achilles as the Hero of Homer s Iliad
When Homer lived, the stature of a hero was measured by the yardstick of fighting ability. In Homer s
Iliad, the character of Achilles represents the epitome of the Greek heroic code . Only Achilles fights
for pure heroics, while the characters of Diomedes and Hector provide good contrasts.
Prowess on the battlefield was ranked supreme, high above any considerations of morality (Martin
26). Nestor, for example, tells Agamemnon and Achilles that he has known much better men than
them meaning men who are better at fighting. Achilles refuses Lycaon clemency because Patroclus.
who is dead. was a much better man than he is by far i.e. a much better fighter. Achilles urges Hector

Diomedes suggests to Sthenelus that they should attack Aeneas with the hope of covering ourselves in
glory : they want to eclipse all of their companions in arms.
This desire is more apparent in Achilles than in anyone else. He will not let even Patroclus. his loved
friend. diminish his glory. He warns Patroclus not to be too successful while wearing his armour. In
the York Notes is a useful description of how Achilles motivation for fighting is a pure and simple
embodiment of the heroic code. In all of the other heroes it is complicated or diminished by their
characters in some way: in Agamemnon , for example, it is inseparably linked to a desire for revenge
and to reclaim what is his: in Diomedes it is moderated and restrained: in Odysseus and Nestor it is
amenable to practical and political considerations: in Aias it is largely unconscious to the extent that it
is comic brute force: in Paris it is set aside for a desire for pleasure: and in Hector it is complicated by
the needs of others.
Thus Achilles is the only character with a great love of battle and glory. He is just about the only great
hero who is on the trip for heroics.
His decision to return and fight and accept early death, moreover, is most admirable, rather than stay
out of the battle and live long. In the heroic world life expectancy was much shorter than it is today.
Of course , especially

Effects Of Dementia On The Brain Essay
Reckless behavior early in life can affect the rest of your life dramatically. Whether it is drinking too
much, use of illegal drugs, or even just a simple vehicle accident, it can cause brain damage which can
lead to dementia. Dementia isn t necessarily a disease but rather terminology to describe a set of
symptoms. Severe impairment in intellectual capacity and personality, often due to damage to the
brain (Gazzaniga, Grison, Heatherton, 2015). In other words, dementia comes with an inability to
process surroundings, a difference in character, and, depending in severity, complete memory loss.
This loss is because nerve cells in the parts of the brain that are responsible for cognition, like the
cerebellum (Molinari, 2002), have been damaged and can no longer function normally. There are
many types of dementia, such as, Alzheimer s, the most common, as well as many others that differ in
symptoms. Though many kinds of dementia normally end in pain, suffering and often death, there is
no cure. Dementia is a neurocognitive disorder that can affects one s life drastically, because of
memory loss, an inability to preform everyday activities, and personality changes.
When diagnosing an individual with dementia, doctors perform a series of tests that evaluate their
cognition ability as well as taking a MRI scan of the brain. Doctors also follow DSM 5, Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, guidelines. According to this manual dementia is
considered a major or

Bilbo Baggins Opinion
In this essay I will be discussing my personal opinion on The Hobbit. The story unfolds about a timid,
fearful hobbit embarking on a journey with dwarves who are seeking revenge on a dragon named
Smaug. He took their home and whilst doing so killed many of their loved ones. This novel is about an
ordinary and common person who through strife and persistence becomes a hero and does
extraordinary things. This main character is Bilbo Baggins. Gandalf persuades him to set off on a great
journey in which they will face much peril. In the face of danger Bilbo overcomes his fear and finds
an inner strength which he has never encountered before. This helps him to finish the journey and
proves Gandalf s claim which he made at the beginning of the novel ... Show more content on

The Hobbit is set in Middle Earth, which is a fantasy land created by J R R Tolkien. In this particular
book the middle earth is restricted to the western lands. The story begins and ends in Hobbiton, a town
in the shire. This is a peaceful town where Bilbo is from and is usually untouched by troubles and
dangerous creatures such as trolls and goblins. As the book progresses the story guides us through the
forest of Mirkwood, the lonely mountains, ruins of Dale, Laketown and of course the Misty
Mountains where the dwarves rightful home is located inside the mountain. I really like the area where
this amazing story is set as the land is full of many interesting and magical places such as the forest of
Mirkwood and the elves palace. The land changes so much throughout the story, it goes through
mountains, forests, fields, lakes, rivers, palaces and kingdoms and this compelled me to read on
because I was so entranced by these amazing regions. The cultural climate is similar to that of England
in the Middle Ages as magic was a powerful force and many believed in the existence of goblins and
elves. Altogether England and middle earth have many parallels. This setting influences the story as it
provides an evil race, which opposes the dwarves, and it influences the magic involved within this
book which plays a massive part in the dwarves fight as without Gandalf s Magic they would not have
made it as far as the misty mountains. I really liked the setting as it enticed me to persist in reading the
book and it added many interesting aspects which influences the story and how the events played

Should Gaming Be A Sport Essay
Should Gaming Be A Sport?
I for one am for gaming be considered a sport. I am one of the guilty ones who can play them hours at
a time and maybe 8 hours straight but that s rare now. I ve had experience with gaming since I was
only three years old at which I had a gaming console, the Xbox 360. There are of course the people
who hate gamers and call them lazy then telling them to do something productive. Sure they could be
right in some aspect but what they don t realize what our brains are doing. That is a key point in which
this topic will be discussed.
Again with the people who hate gaming, most of them haven t even touched a game before and if they
have they most likely hated or didn t want anything to do with it. It s all about how you want to play
and getting better at it. Many people believe gaming is a useless effort which does no good for your
brains or body, while the body part can be true for those who don t actually do anything proactive as a
hobby can gain weight if they eat a lot while gaming or lose weight if they starve themselves to ...

In my opinion yes, in some, no. It s all personal preference. The thing is, gaming already is a sport
somewhat, it s something called an eSport (electronic sport). Sure you can argue about how it s not a
true sport but it s mainly a hobby that doesn t require much physique to do. There are tournaments all
over the world that take place every year and many years before now and those that will come after. In
July 2014, an outstanding 11,000 people stuffed themselves into a basketball arena in Seattle. They
were not there to watch a basketball game, but to watch gamers compete for $11 million in prize
money. These tournaments make gamers be competitive and sometimes rage induced for these kinds
of events for a good cause. Gaming takes an immense amount of practice, focus, and dedication which
is why gaming should be considered an official

Job Redesign For Expanded Health Information Management
In reading and analyzing the case study on Job Redesign for Expanded Health Information
Management (HIM) Functions by Elizabeth Layman I was baffled to see that someone could take
some rather fascinating and useful information and obscure it into such an annoyingly mind numbing
text so as to eradicate almost all of its intrinsic value to everyone except for the most vigilant and
persistent reader with a resilient constitution against sleep and boredom. Having arduously trudged
through it, I was able to glean a few things in relativity to goal setting and job enrichment. How are
the principles of goal setting applied in this case?
While she mentions company goals in a few instances there was nothing really that directly addressed
the principles of goal setting, unless you read in between the lines and apply them this way. One of the
very purposes of this paper was to outline how HIM can detect, identify, analyze, and solve problems
in the work environment which infers that they are trying to reach some form of a goal.
In relating this to the mnemonic of a SMART goal, the paper outlines Specific steps that can be taken
to help overcome Specific issues if your goal is Specifically to mitigate one of those issues then you
are in luck. For instance, if with the Health Information Services (HIS) Department and them having
issues with Logjams, gridlock, production delays due to illness or vacations then she outlines that you

Summary Of Carnegie By Peter Krass
Andrew Carnegie never wanted to move to America; with tears he reluctantly walked on the boat and

the free, petrified of what was to come. The trip and the new land would bring new opportunities that
he would impact his life forever. Carnegie by Peter Krass is one of the best historical books that
accurately portrays the events that have occurred over Carnegie s life. Classrooms all across the

The Visible And Invisible In Edo Japan
The Visible and Invisible in Edo Japan The Edo period in Japan was the result of strict social control
and economic growth resulting in a burgeoning artistic scene. Art was a way of expressing the feelings
and desires that was denied by social norms imposed by an authoritarian government. As a result,
there was a clash of ideas that pushed artists to focus on subtle refinement of traditional styles and the
values therein. This sentiment not only applied to religious art, but to secular art forms as well due to
the wealthy patrons being a part of the systems that restricted society. However, this restriction created
a unique environment that birthed art and ideas that are unique to their time and place as the lack of
outside influences forced all to turn inwards for inspiration. Therefore, the balance between the visible
and the invisible is represented in the design of the art. The first artwork is Pair of Phoenix Overdoor
Panels (Ramma) which was designed in the 19th century during the Edo period for a Buddhist temple.
The elaborate wooden carving derives its aesthetics from the ideas and symbolism that are attached to
the phoenix. Being a mythical creature, the phoenix brought over much of its symbolism from China
when Buddhism was introduced to Japan during the 7th century. This example is carved of wood that
is lacquered and painted with metal accent inlays. Buddhist temples of the time had architecture that
resembled their Chinese counterparts, but reinterpreted to

Response To Peter Singer
At any given moment, there are people around the world suffering and dying due to severe poverty.
According to Peter Singer, there is much more that we can do to help create a better life for these
people. He makes the obvious statement, in which most people agree with, that suffering and death
due to poverty are very bad. His second idea is that if we are able to prevent that from happening
without sacrificing too much for ourselves, we should. Essentially, we should prevent a bad thing from
happening if it is in our power to do so without causing harm to ourselves in any way. An example of
this that Singer points out is, if I am walking past a shallow pond and see a child drowning in it, I
ought to wade in and pull the child out. This will mean getting my clothes muddy, but this is
insignificant, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two of the objections are the blind and kidney examples. If a doctor were to come up to a perfectly
healthy person and tell them that he or she needs to give one eye to a blind person so they can see,
most often, they would immediately say no. The giver would be left with only one eye to see, while
the receiver would be gifted with one eye to see. It seems to be a negative outcome for the person
giving the eye and a positive outcome for the one receiving it. The same goes for the kidney, if
someone is asked to donate a kidney to a complete stranger, they would say no in this situation as
well. They do not believe they should be expected to give a kidney to a random stranger because it
only leaves them with one healthy kidney for themselves, but it also saves the receiver from possible
death. In both situations, it seems as though they are sacrificing too much of his or her self, which
goes against Singer s second premise of preventing something bad from happening without sacrificing
too much. Depending how we look at it, though, we are not necessarily sacrificing too much in those

A study by Hariharan M, Wheatley TA, and Price JC (1997) investigated controlled release on two
kinds of carrageenan, lambda carrageenan (Viscarin GP 209) and iota carrageenan (Gelcarin GP 379).
They analyzed their respective compression capabilities through the use of a Strokes single punch
machine. Yield pressure was calculated at 81.3 Pa for iota carrageenan and 105.2 MPa for lambda
carrageenan through the use of Heckel plots out of die tablet densities. The results proved linear. Both
carrageenan types yielded near zero order profiles in drug release tablet formulations. The tablet
compression pressures had little to no effect on the profiles from 70 to 175 MPa. It was found out that
while drug loading increased from 5% to 20%, the exponent of diffusion decreased from 1.056 to
0.678. From zero order release, the breakup of tablets during the dissolution and departure were the
result of 30% drug loading. To predict the time for 50% release as a function of the concentration of
both types of carrageenan, the researchers used multiple regression analysis, which was also used for
microcrystalline cellulose, a third filler material used in the setup. They concluded that the observed
values and the predicted values of the research were in good agreement and the R2 for the final cubic
model was 0.9984. (Hariharan M, Wheatley TA, Price JC., 1997)

Discuss The Relationship Between The HRM And CSR Relationship
1) THE HRM CSR RELATIONSHIP The correlation between HRM and CSR has recently been
acknowledged (Buciuniene Kazlauskaite, 2012; Pless et al., 2012) and while there are studies solely
focusing on the role of HRM in developing CSR practices (ref) there have been other studies
recognizing the two way relationship (ref). According to my understanding of the two distinct
disciplines, the relationship can be studied from the CSR to HRM perspective which enables the
development of HRM policies and practices under a moral and ethical lens, and from the HRM to
CSR link which focuses on the roles of HRM in the development and implementation of CSR strategy.
I believe that there are mutual beneficial aspects of constructing a two way HRM CSR relation,
however this study will maintain a realistic approach and HRM has a stronger grasp in corporate
affairs compered to CSR management. This is due to mainly two reasons: first, HRM has been widely
developed in research since early 1920s being therefore more utilized within corporations while CSR
is a concept taking momentum now and still broadly debated. Second, there is more evidence about
HRM acting as a corporate facilitator to reach positive a profitable outcomes compered to CSR
strategies which are still discussed among business and political parties. Therefore, in order to produce
a conceptual tool that can be substantially used the emphases will be given to the role of HRM in
developing CSR policies. 1.1 THE CROSS CULTURAL

The Legalization Of Polygamy
The Legalization of Polygamy Sex is one of the most widely controversial topics in America. The
subject comes up in multiple situations: dinner parties, coffee dates, even when someone is
eavesdropping on a neighbor s endeavors with his mistress. Nowadays, it seems as if horror stories
about infidelity are more common than happy marriages. Cheating on a spouse is morally wrong, so
why not make it easy and legalize the act of polygamy? Polygamy is defined as willfully and
knowingly having more than one husband or wife. As unnatural as it seems, many successful people
have been in multiple marriages at once. The founder of the Mormons, Joseph Smith Jr., had up to
thirty three wives, all ranging from the ages of fourteen to sixty. One of ... Show more content on

Both men practiced polygamy, which was frowned upon greatly by the Republican Party during the
Civil War. In 1862, Senator Justin Morrill succeeded in passing the Morrill Act for the Suppression of
Polygamy, which punished bigamy in any territory under federal jurisdiction with a fine not exceeding
five hundred dollars, and . . . imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years (Duncan 318). This
angered the Mormons greatly and tried to gain the right for polygamy. After timeless efforts and
multiple failures, they started to practice underground. The final straw before underground families
was the Short Creek Raid in 1953. Police arrested the prophet, two men and three of their wives in a
little place known as Short Creek, right above the Grand Canyon. The two men were arrested for
cohabitation, which lead to government forces joining alliances with Utah, Arizona, and Idaho to raid
Short Creek again. The raid resulted in forty six arrests of men and women in the community (Duncan

inconspicuously as possible. There are four polygnist clans. Unfortunately, these families had a great
deal of hardships. Many children in the underground world of polygamy are home schooled, further
insulating them from the outside world. In 2000, the FLDS forced families on a wholesale basis to

How William Harvey Demonstrated Intellectual Honesty in...
Intellectual honesty is an applied method to present and discuss facts in unbiased, fair and open
minded manner. In the seventeenth century, William Harvey published his work The Circulation of the
Blood. His publication became revolutionary not only because of its scientific contributions, but also
because it demonstrated a great example of intellectual honesty, a valuable disposition required for all
scholars and scientists. Through his work The Circulation of the Blood, William Harvey expressed
intellectual honesty in three different ways: how conventional beliefs did not interfere with his search
of truth; how he acknowledged and accepted other relevant publications; and how he defended his
view in an unbiased manner. William Harvey was born in 1578 in Folkenstone, England. Like many
young scholars at the time, he went to Kings College, graduated, and then enrolled at Italy s famous
medical school, University of Padua. As he graduated with high honors, Harvey also accumulated
mixed experiences and knowledge coming from his predecessors and colleagues. Among such, the

Smoking Informative Essay
Smoking accounts for more than 440,000 deaths in the U.S. every year. There are many dangers when
you smoke. In fact, when burned, cigarettes create more than 7,000 chemicals, and around 70 of these
are known to cause cancer. The majority of smokers today started before they were 18, and still today,
4,000 kids try their first cigarette. These kids start because of peer pressure or because their parents
are smokers. Second hand smoke is also a problem. It accounts for 50,000 deaths per year and many
other health effects. Preventing this may seem easy, but it is not so. Fifty percent of high school
students have attempted to quit and around 70% of adults say they want to quit. What s keeping them
from quitting? The addictive chemicals in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Population Study Sample
The population sample for the 2011 12 Australian National Nutrition and Physical Activity survey
(NNPAS) was comprised of residents of private dwellings in urban and rural areas of Australia,
covering approximately 97% of the population. The dwellings were selected at random using a
multistage area sample of private dwellings.2
The survey excluded residents of non private dwellings which is around 2% of the population.1 This
may affect estimates of the number of people with some chronic health conditions which may require
periods of hospitalisation. Households in Very Remote areas of Australia and discrete Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander communities were also excluded. The only area where this is likely to skew

Although urine iodine samples have been shown to give reliable results for populations , they do not
provide usable measures of iodine intake for individuals due to large day to day variations.
Determining iodine intake via a 24 hour recall dietary record is not an accurate way to determine
habitual iodine intake. In order to determine an individual s habitual intake of iodine, it is estimated
that 20 50 days of dietary recall records would be needed. Data collection could be improved by using
a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) or a diet history interview that asks for usual intakes of iodine
containing foods. FFQ are more often used and preferred as they are more cost effective.
A major problem with dietary surveys is the likelihood of under reporting, where the participant either
changes their dietary behaviour because of survey participation or misrepresents their consumption to
appear healthier.2 It must also be considered that most young children are unable to recall their
intakes. Similarly, parents/carers of school aged children may not be aware of a child s total food
intake, which can lead to under reporting.

The Genocide Of The Rwanda Essay
In 1994, Rwanda was a situation of hatred and revenge tailored by European influence that mixed
together to form the recipe for Genocide. Classical control of third world nations and exploitation by
the west is nothing new. In Africa, the direction of the government is often manipulated by countries
that have had historical control over them. The Genocide of Rwanda was a transfer of position that
placed the Hutu people in a seat of power over the former rulers, which were the Tutsis elite. This shift
in power led to the division of a nation, evolving propaganda, and a psychological approach used to
create a genocide.
In the early history of Rwanda, there lie differences in people, but peace among the populace was
always upheld in the eyes of the Tutsis. In the opinion of the Hutu, they recall being subjugated
beneath the mwami , the Tutsis elite. In the precolonial times, the Hutu and Tutsis were called a
collective name, the Banyarwanda, which was the term for people of Rwanda. Germany gained
control of the region in 1885 and governed their region through the mwami . An English man named
John Hanning Speke gave a hardline separation of the two people that would be echoed by the
Belgians and the Hutus later into the 20th century. The term Hamitic hypothesis stated that the origins
of the Hutu and Tutsis were that of a leader and servant. It claimed that the origin of Tutsis had
descended from the Biblical King David out of Ethiopia and they were a superior race

The Cause And Effects Of The Mini Ice Age
The mini ice age, or Little Ice Age (LIA), was a period of time characterized by a decrease in
temperatures worldwide. Although there are no definite times for the start and end of the Little Ice
Age, it is generally accepted that it occurred from approximately 1300 CE to 1850 CE. The coldest
stage of this time lasted from around 1645 to 1715. Also, the expansion of mountain glaciers in several
locations was a distinctive feature of the Little Ice Age. The event had various effects and its origins
are disputable. Several causes of the Little Ice Age have been proposed. One of them describes a
decrease in sunspot activity, or times when dark spots form on the sun due to low temperatures. The
lack of sunspots during the LIA is known as the Maunder Minimum. Since it appeared to occur
concurrently with the coldest part of the ice age, from 1645 to 1715, it was considered a plausible
reason to explain the Little Ice Age. However, this theory has its flaws, because modeled simulations
point to the idea that temperatures would ve dropped to a maximum of 0.4ÂșC, when the world saw
actual decreases of 1 2ÂșC. Furthermore, the Little Ice Age started before the Maunder Minimum
happened, so additional information is needed to explain the original cause of the LIA.
Another idea for the catalyst of the Little Ice Age involves the North Atlantic Oscillation
(NAO), a circulation of atmospheric pressure in North America and northern Europe. Typical, or
positive NAO is shown when a

Quafe Ultra Essay
In the early days of YC106, the Quafe Corporation announced the launch of a new beverage in their
franchise known as Quafe Ultra. Promising a new twist on the familiar Quafe flavor, the product came
with a cluster wide advertisement campaign. Portrayed as a wonder tonic , the drink was rife with
controversy from the very first advertisements released. Accordingly, the marketing of the drink may
have directly invoked the attack on what was the largest gathering of celebrities at the time.
The first advertisement to cause a stir was released to the public of the Amarr Empire. Displaying St.
Junip s Cathedral in Dam Torsad, among Amarr Prime s oldest landmarks, the advertisement revolved
around a group of Amarr theology students. One of the students opens a can of Quafe Ultra and the

Delays And Congestion At Frontier s East
Passenger air travel has been forecasted to increase to over 1 billion persons annually by 2023. This
alone has a great likelihood of negatively impacting airport capacity at several of Frontier Airlines
major hubs due to inefficient runway use. This case study will focus on delays and congestion at
Frontier s east coast hub, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and how improvements can
effectively reduce the amount of delayed flights Frontier consistently experiences.
Background
Philadelphia Municipal Airport opened on June 20, 1940 along the banks of the Delaware River. By
year s end, approximately 40,000 passengers travelled through the airport. By 1945, the municipal
airport became Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) courtesy of transatlantic service by American
Overseas Airlines. In the 1960s and 1970s, expansion and modernization paved way for the airport
facility in use today.
Increased popularity of air travel, population growth, and urban development have all contributed to
the increase in congestion and decrease in capacity at PHL over the years. FAA records as far back as
1995 show that PHL ranked consistently as one of the most delayed airports (FAA, 2010). Many of
these delays at PHL have secondary and tertiary effects at the airports to which the originating flights
are destined. Hub and spoke carrier passengers depending on their on time arrival may miss
connecting flights and, at times, additional onward flights, cruises, or other important events.

The Importance Of Premarital Sexual Intercourse
In an increasingly secular American society, the traditional value of sexual abstinence until marriage
has become obsolete. Movies, music, and media glorify promiscuous behavior, and people are putting
off marriage until later in life. As American culture continues to shift towards a romanticized view of
premarital sexual intercourse, one ought to ask his or herself if this is truly a morally permissible act.
Personally, I find this behavior alarming, and in this essay, I hope to persuade readers as to why
premarital sexual intercourse should not be accepted or encouraged. I will begin by criticizing a
typical modus tollens argument pro premarital sexual intercourse advocates often present. Next, I will
defend my claim that the presented argument is unsound by providing an equivalent example. I will
then address a possible objection to my stance, and I will overcome this objection by examining a few
of the numerous negative consequences to premarital sexual intercourse. The pro premarital sexual
intercourse argument is as follows:
1) If premarital sexual intercourse is morally impermissible for adults, then it is reasonable to prohibit
premarital sexual intercourse for adults (given what we know about the growth and development of
young men and women).
2) It is not reasonable to prohibit premarital sexual intercourse for adults (given what we know about
the growth and development of young men and women).
3) So, it is not the case that premarital sexual intercourse is

U.s. Healthcare Industry And Its History
I currently work in the U.S. healthcare industry. The U.S. healthcare industry, defined in its broader
sense for the purposes of this discussion, includes several other industries (Riggs ed., 2015). Industries
that compose the larger U.S. healthcare industry as a whole would include the U.S. hospital system,
the pharmaceutical industry, and various other suppliers of medical goods and services. Many of these
separately defined industries within the U.S. healthcare industry would be described as being at
different stages within the industry life cycle model. However, this discussion will focus on the U.S.
healthcare industry as a whole. Utilizing an industry life cycle model as described by Parnell (2014), I
would consider the U.S. healthcare industry in the maturity stage of the industry life cycle. This
conclusion was reached by examining key characteristics within the U.S healthcare system and its
history. Up until the early 20th century, the U.S. healthcare system was composed primarily of home
care rendered by providers without high levels of scientific or technical knowledge compared to today
s standards. This early stage of the U.S healthcare industry would be considered the introduction stage
of the industry life cycle. Parnell (2014) reports that the introduction stage of the life cycle is typically
fairly short. However, in the case of the U.S. healthcare industry, this introduction stage appears to be
prolonged comparative to the progression through the later

strike them down any minute. Percy then goes up to floor six hundred after going to the lobby and
goes to the plane and returns the lightning bolt without no problem. Poseidon tells Percy that his
mother is at home safe, and Zeus lets Percy return back home to his apartment. Percy then got home
from a taxi ride home, and spent the rest of the summer at camp half blood peacefully.

Where a is the molar absorptivity, b is the path length and c is the concentration of the analyte.
Spectrophotmetry is not only confined within the boundaries of chemistry. Its principles have several
applications in different branches of science. In biochemistry, it can be used to determine enzyme
catalyzed reactions, whereas in clinical application, it is used to examine blood and tissues. This
quantitative method of analysis can also be used in engineering, physics,etc.[2]
METHODOLOGY
The experiment was initially done by preparing standard solutions of different volumes of Cu(II) stock
solution of known concentration including a blank solution composed of ammonia and water. Each
volume of the solution was placed in volumetric flasks, and in each flask, same amount of
concentrated NH3 was added. The same procedures were also done in the preparation of the diluted
unknown Cu(II) solution. Addition of ammonia caused the formation of deeper blue copper ammonia
complex which allowed the spectrophotometer to detect the solution easily due to increase in its
absorbance. The formation of the complex is shown by the following chemical reaction:
Cu2+ + 4NH3 [Cu(NH3)4]2+ (4)
A deficiency in ammonia in the solution would cause the copper ammonia complex to turn into its
hydrated form which would eventually alter the accuracy of the data obtained because of its

Development of Aggression
Aggression is defined as the overt behavior of initiating hostilities or launching attacks. In psychology,
aggression relates to many different types of behavior. Originally, aggressive behavior is defined as
one person is intended to injure or irritate another people. However, it is difficult to know or to
measure if a person s behavior is intentional, especially in children. Hence, when researchers carry out
studies on aggression, the operational definition of aggression is often referred to the behavior that
injures or irritates another person. Aggression behaviors are caused by many factors, such as social
and environmental. People often associate aggression with the nature of human. There were two
arguments on this nature; one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shaw, Keenan, and Vondra (1994), showed that in the absence of parental responsiveness, children are
likely to develop aggressive behavior at age 3. Bates et al. (1998), also showed that preschoolers with
passive parents tended to have difficulty. By the late childhood, those difficult preschoolers with
passive parents tended to perform aggressive behavior in school.
Reinforcement refers to the contingent response from parents towards children s aggression. Children
who are rewarded for aggression tend to continue such aggressive behavior. On the other hand,
children who are punished for aggression tend to stop such aggressive behavior. A study if the
development and socialization of aggression done by Keenan (2002), revealed a gender differences on
aggression. He demonstrated that rates of aggression were higher in boys than in girls at the end of the
preschool period. Besides, Ross et al. (1990), reported that mothers of boys were likely to support
(reward) their sons when the children were in the peer conflicts. However, mothers of girls were not
likely to support (punishment) their daughters. Hence, the studies indicate that children are at greater
risk of developing aggressive behavior when parents do not reinforce in an appropriate ways.
Identification refers to model the adults behaviors. Children tend to learn behavior from their

The agency noted that the delays set off a number of quarrels between customers and low cost carriers
for failing to provide satisfactory explanations or solutions. At other times, the website reported, the
carriers didn t make staff available to answer questions.
The carriers were accused of being poor problem solvers, as they usually informed passengers of the
delays or cancellation at the last possible minute, and repeatedly changed flight times.
Many passengers complained to local media about a tendency for local airlines to only inform
passengers of cancellations a couple hours before the scheduled departure time or after they have
waited a couple hours at the airport.
When the carriers sent text messages to passengers about the delays, they did not apologize and failed
to provide an explanation or compensation for the inconvenience.
Worse still, many passengers at the airport were not provided with food while waiting for their flights
to be resumed.
Lack of proper punishments seems to be a problem in the country s aviation industry, which has seen
sharp increases in the rates of delays and cancellations recently.

It is impossible to collect data from the 16th and 17th centuries, but current religious revolutions are
still occurring. Tracking the religiosity of some countries can be difficult due to government
regulations. Syria, for example, would not be an easy place to obtain data concerning religiosity of the
contemporaries. Some places such as Turkmenistan consider data to be government secrets. In places
where government interference causes the inability to collect data, the religious markets hypothesis
becomes relevant. The religious markets hypothesis includes government control of religion. Because
governments would be obstructing access to data on religious affiliations, research can be done to
determine if that country is under a theocracy, dictatorship, or tyrannical regime. If so, it is possible
that the religiosity of that country is being determined by the culture formed by the government itself.
This can be tested by determining the predominant religion of the area. Surveying refugees or
migrants from that country can provide some data, but unfortunately, many contemporaries would
probably not respond truthfully or at all because of the fear of retribution against themselves or family
still within the country of origin. The evaluation of the major religion may have to be determined by

of cruelty. Animal testing can cause major injury, psychological damage, and even death; how ethical
is it, actually? The opposing side argues that there is not a safe alternative to animal testing. According
to the California Biomedical Research Association, studying cells in a petri dish does not produce an

chemicals, doses far too miniscule to be harmful, to living volunteers. This procedure allows scientists
to study how the body reacts and stores the chemicals without any damage or pain done to the

The Finances of Being an Artist
Finances for an artist can be one of the toughest topics to be brought into discussion when thinking
about starting their own business. This shouldn t be a shock to any artist since there are major finance
issues behind every field of being a successful artist. To put it into simple context, being an artist of
any kind is costly. First, there is a variety of how expensive a career can be to an artist all while
depending on the type of work you put in. While considering art, you have many issues to take into
account such as finding and paying for a workspace, supplies, and the time to be productive.
Searching for and affording a space to work in is an important topic for any artist. Artists need a
proper facility to house the right equipment such has being a designer, painter, sculptor, etc. Unless
you are wealthy right after art school moving into a big city where space is expensive isn t really the
smartest choice. Many artists have turned to New York after graduating and experienced financial
times very hard. It is quite common for many young artists to migrate into a large city, finding
themselves paying tons of money for a small studio or apartment. My advice to anyone starting in this
field would be to look elsewhere for work, in a much less expensive setting where you can start off
and be financially stable. Starting off elsewhere will be beneficial to any artist while gaining
experience while building up a professional body of artwork before they move into a big

Functional Behavior Assessment A Behavior Intervention Plan
Introduction Under Functional Behavior Assessment a Behavior intervention plan or a BIP is a
detailed outline designed for a specific behavior that a child may be experiencing. The detailed
outlined is used to change the behavior of concern examples are off task behaviors meaning; drawing
when the child is supposed to be working on an academic task or oppositional behaviors meaning;
child often argues with adults or people in authority. There are many reasons a child should have a
BIP. One reason is to reduce problem behaviors so that a child may learn to the best of his/her ability
and another is to keep themselves and others safe in the environment that they are in. For this
behavioral assessment I have chosen scenario # 1. A third grade student in a public elementary school
has been referred for behavior problems continuously for the past three months. This student is
demonstrating consistently disruptive behaviors in this classroom and in other settings within the
school (lunch, recess, specials, etc.). Disruptive behaviors have been termed aggressive and non
compliant by school staff. Kyle entered the Vanderbilt Elementary School in the third grade. He has
had a great deal of managing and regulating his behavior, cooperating with teachers directives, and
maintaining appropriate behaviors at various locations and times of the school day (lunch, recess,
specials, etc.) for the past three months. Not only does his behavior interfere with his own learning

Gandhi s American Dream
Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. Quotes like this
come from the one and only, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, or what he s commonly known as
Mahatma Gandhi. He peacefully brought people together to boycott against British rule, and rebelled
against what he believed was wrong. Before all of his, Gandhi was born on October 2nd 1869, in
Porbandar, Kathiawar, India which was at the time apart of the British empire. He had what seemed to
be a short childhood, marrying at thirteen years old in an arranged marriage with Kasturba Makanji.
This soon caused his early rebel teen years which was, smoking, eating meat, and stealing change
from household servants. (Biography.com Editors 1). He had little interest in school, but kept average
grades due to his father s expectations in his academics. He went on to study western culture in
London, England for three years and struggled through his studies. While staying there he started
reading a variety of sacred texts about different religions, learning about the different cultures and
beliefs of the world. Although he had a hard and difficult early life, he still came through to only break
through bigger barriers in his future. Gandhi stood up for what he believed in multiple times in his
life. After his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Nixon Impeachment
Impeachment
With rumors of impeachment beginning to circulate, Nixon finally agreed to turn over the subpoenaed
White House tapes. The committee listened to the recordings and discovered an 18 minute gap on one
of the tapes. It was surmised that someone had erased part of the tape, but investigators were unable to
determine exactly what had happened. In March 1974, seven former presidential aides were indicted
on charges of conspiracy to hinder the Watergate investigation, and Nixon was named as an unindicted
co conspirator. On July 24, the Supreme Court voted unanimously to order Nixon to release the rest of
the White House recordings, considering them evidence in the case that came to be known as the
United States v. Nixon.

On August 8, 1974, President Nixon addressed the nation and announced that he would become the
first president ever to resign. The following day, Vice President Gerald Ford was sworn in as the 38th
president of the United States. Ford, a former House Minority leader, had been chosen by Nixon to
succeed Vice President Spiro Agnew, who was forced to resign due to earlier charges of bribery and
income tax evasion. Ford was the first man to become chief executive of the nation as a result of the
resignation of a president, and without having been elected president or vice president. He nominated
Nelson Rockefeller as his vice president.
Aftermath
On September 8, 1974, President Ford pardoned Nixon of all charges related to the Watergate scandal.
His political career destroyed, Nixon spent the remainder of his life attempting to repair his shattered
reputation. He died on April 22, 1994 at the age of 81.
During the course of the Watergate investigation, it was discovered that nearly forty different
corporations and individual executives had made illegal contributions to both parties during the 1972
presidential campaign. As a result, Congress enacted sweeping campaign finance reforms in 1974,
limiting the amount of contributions to political campaigns and establishing guidelines for the detailed
accounting and reporting of donations and

while volunteering at the Overlook Hospital I would find smiling faces waiting for me every time I

surgery, some of whom have recurring cancer. It takes a lot of courage to work in a field where there
are high chances of failure and sick patients everywhere. Yet to find the same peace of mind as the

Bias In The Media Bias
There are many different hidden truths in the media that people do not know about due to the fact that
the media emphasizes on just one particular point of view. Throughout the years, people have been
biased in the media and the reason as to why this happens is that people choose to lean on one side
such as republican, democrat, libertarian, or conservative. To be biased means to only be on one side
of an argument or situation and only favor more of what one person has to say. There are a variety of
different news channels in which they all tend to lean more on one side, there is not a single news
channel that is on the same side as another. There are many current events that have multiple

are so accustomed to getting the news online, many of them tend to believe what they just happen to

Information Technology Department s Plan Essay
Given that a major goal of the [HISD] Information Technology Department s plan is to ensure that
technology strategies and operations support the overall learning process (HISD, 2012), the hardware
and software to be installed and implemented in the district s standardized computer lab will serve as a
reflection of this goal. The standardized computer lab will support multiple computing clients,
including thin client Chromebooks, a tablet computer cart, and a student workstation with desktop
computers. In their 2016 Standards for Students, the International Society for Technology in
Education outlines six domains in which students should demonstrate proficiency so that they can be
prepared to thrive in a constantly evolving technological landscape (ISTE, 2016). Included in these
domains is that of the Creative Communicator, in which students choose the appropriate platforms and
tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication (ISTE, 2016). To provide
students opportunities to practice creating and collaborating across platforms and throughout the
elementary, middle, high school and adult stages of learning, multiple categories of computing devices
will be selected for installation in the HISD standardized computer lab: thin clients in the form of
Chromebooks, tablet computers, and desktop computers.
The majority of devices available for student use in the standardized computer lab will comprise of

There Will Come Soft Rains Literary Devices
In The Martian Chronicles, Ray Bradbury criticizes American society. He carefully compares the
Earth Men and the Martians to convey his disappointment with some of society s ideals. Bradbury
expresses his dismay at the exploitation of contrasting civilizations, and indicates one of the fatal
flaws of human beings in general, and Americans in particular: hubris. He utilizes both setting and
analogies in his critiques.
This hubris, in the aspect of American ethnocentrism, is criticized throughout his short stories in the
form of analogies. In many of his short stories, Bradbury relates the Martians to Native Americans
who had their land destroyed. Jeff Spender, in And The Moon be Still As Bright , points out that Earth
Men have a talent for ruining big, beautiful things (54) . Bradbury directly compares the Earth Men
who reached Mars to the settlers who reached the New World and violently pushed out Native
Americans already living on those lands. Bradbury is using the corruption of the Martian environment
by the Earth Men as an analogy to the destruction of Native American civilizations by the first settlers.
Bradbury utilizes this comparison to criticize the settlers notion that because they are the best race and
always right, the Native American land would be of better use ... Show more content on

In There Will Come Soft Rains, Bradbury uses a poem in which Nature will scarcely know if we[man]
has gone... (169) to say that without humans nature will continue to thrive. Although the setting is a
house (an advanced man made, technological object), the processes of nature eventually consume the
house. The dog dies (the idea that, in the end, nature will always win), the trees are still growing, and
the house eventually burns down to the ground. The poem and the setting are used to criticize the idea
of human invincibility, and show that humans are not superior to

  • 2. Analysis Of Leslie Bricusse s Feeling Good An anthem of triumph, Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse s Feeling Good, has traversed the generations with its inspirational and timeless lyrics. Since its debut in the 1960s musical The Roar of the Greasepaint The Smell of the Crowd, the song Feeling Good has been covered by dozens of notable artists. Among them are Nina Simone and Avicii featuring the vocals of Audra Mae. The song originates from a scene in the musical sung by the character The Negro after he wins the game [of life] in spite of the abuse and racism he experiences at the hands of the musical s main characters. In the same year of its Broadway premiere, Nina Simone recorded her own version of the song for her album I Put a Spell on You. Simone s iconic rendition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Like Grant, Simone uses vibrato throughout the song. However, while Grant has a steadily low pitch, Simone has an almost magical voice that manages to flawlessly fluctuate between both high and low pitches throughout the song. It is this technique that gives the song a strong emotional texture. Where Grant s voice sounded desperately triumphant over hardships, Simone s sounds eagerly hopeful for a bright new future. Simone makes the song her own even more with her dynamic techniques. Unlike Grant who built up a crescendo throughout the song, Simone keeps a relatively steady volume until the climax when she concludes the song powerfully loud. Another way that Grant and Simone s versions differ is the way the timbre is altered by their accompaniments. Simone has a typical jazz band accompanying her that is very heavy in the brass department with its trumpet, trombone, and tuba. It also is heavy with piano and a little bit of drums that all come together to create a bright and energetic tone that helps one feel empowered just by hearing the song. In one of the song s more recent covers, American singer Audra Mae has a steadily high pitch in contrast to Grant s bass range and Simone s both low and high range vocals. Nevertheless, Audra Mae s wavering voice pays a beautiful homage to both Grant and Simone s versions of the song. However, it s the techno accompaniment performed by Swedish DJ Avicii that truly gives the song ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Vincent Van Gogh And His Life In essence of this twenty first (21st) Century, the life of Vincent Van Gogh; has become more of a legend with a substantial figure among painters and western art in the society today. Vincent Van Gogh is said to be a person with persevering characteristics due to all the failures he encountered in his career path from being a minister like his father to dealing in arts like his uncle (Blumer,2002) before becoming the successful painter, we all acknowledge in the world today. However, Vincent Van Gogh is practically known to be the subject discussed in midst of artists, historians, and psychologists worldwide based on his artworks, his mental health issues and cutting off his left ear. In brief, Vincent Willem Van Gogh is a well known Dutch post impressionist painter, born to an austere country ministering father, and an artistic mother on March 30, 1853, in Groot Zundert, Netherlands, and died as a result of gunshot wound to the chest in the arms of his brother Theo on July 29, 1890 in Auvers sur Oise, France (Vincent, n.d.). In the wake of recent discoveries, there have been speculations whether the death of Vincent Van Gogh was a suicidal or murderous act; which implies whether Van Gogh shot himself or someone else did (Smith Naifeh, 2014). It is believed the death of Van Gogh is yet a mystery basically lingering around to be solved. Nevertheless, Vincent Van Gogh was the oldest of his siblings, three sisters and two brothers; despite the fact his mother lost her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Civil Rights Movement from 1954 to 1968 Essay It was a hard time, and for many black persons, it seemed as if all the broken promises of Reconstruction were epitomized in the actions of the Supreme Court of the United States. Ever since the 1870 s, the Court had been eviscerating the congressional legislation and constitutional amendments that had been established at the height of Reconstruction to protect some of the basic citizenship rights of black people. 1954 was a new time and more than tears and words were needed. Just about everyone that was black and alive at the time realized that the long, hard struggles, led by the NAACP, had forced the Supreme Court to take a major stand on the side of justice in the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka decision. We ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Martin Luther King Jr. becomes leader of the 12 Âœ month boycott. In November of 1956, the U.S. Supreme Court rules the Montgomery s segregated bus system is unconstitutional. Although the Brown ruling of 1954 was a unanimous decision, the American public s reactions to it varied greatly. In the North, where segregated schooling was not a matter of public policy, blacks viewed the decision as a victory for equality. Most whites in Northern states felt that the decision had little meaning for them. In the South, however, many whites viewed the Court s decision as an intrusion of the federal government into their way of life. Southerner s pointed out that the North, too, was segregated. Black people in the South were profoundly affected by the court decision. Many felt for the first time that the government might be on their side, and that it might now be possible to throw off years of oppression. But a year passed before the Court delivered its instructions on just how school desegregation was to be implemented. When the Court s directions in what has to be known as Brown II were summarized in the phrase with all deliberate speed, many black people were disappointed and felt that the government would not support desegregation. In 1957, the Little Rock School Board decides to admit nine black students to its Central High School. The Governor calls out the National Guard ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When he was at the age of 8 he contracted Chorea, a disease that causes involuntary, unpredictable body movements, so Warhol was confined to bed. During his recovery he was taught to draw by his mother (Brown, 2015). He developed a love for drawing, and he started to draw in his spare time. As soon as he got healthy he decided to take up photography. He went on to graduate high school and enroll in Carnegie Institute of Technology where he studied commercial art (Brown, 2015). Warhol later became a leading figure in the 1950s visual art movement known as pop art. In 1961 Warhol revealed the concept of pop art (Brown, 2015). He showcased an art piece that focused on mass produced commercial goods. It was an art form that no one had ever seen before. People became fascinated with him and his artwork. In 1962 Warhol became most famous when he showcased his ionic paintings of Campbell s soup cans (Brown, 2015). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From a king to an average person, everyone enjoys soup and its something that s affordable. Some people don t understand why Warhol painted pictures depicting Campbell soup. But the reason behind his painting is that he genuinely liked Campbell soup a lot, and he wanted to paint it. When Andy Warhol was asked why he painted Campbell Soup cans he said, I used to drink it. I used to have the same lunch everyday, for twenty years the same thing over and over again (Miller, 2015). It was something he loved and wanted to paint which is why his Campbell soup cans are ... • 8. Essay on Achilles as the Hero of Homer’s Iliad Achilles as the Hero of Homer s Iliad When Homer lived, the stature of a hero was measured by the yardstick of fighting ability. In Homer s Iliad, the character of Achilles represents the epitome of the Greek heroic code . Only Achilles fights for pure heroics, while the characters of Diomedes and Hector provide good contrasts. Prowess on the battlefield was ranked supreme, high above any considerations of morality (Martin 26). Nestor, for example, tells Agamemnon and Achilles that he has known much better men than them meaning men who are better at fighting. Achilles refuses Lycaon clemency because Patroclus. who is dead. was a much better man than he is by far i.e. a much better fighter. Achilles urges Hector to show ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Diomedes suggests to Sthenelus that they should attack Aeneas with the hope of covering ourselves in glory : they want to eclipse all of their companions in arms. This desire is more apparent in Achilles than in anyone else. He will not let even Patroclus. his loved friend. diminish his glory. He warns Patroclus not to be too successful while wearing his armour. In the York Notes is a useful description of how Achilles motivation for fighting is a pure and simple embodiment of the heroic code. In all of the other heroes it is complicated or diminished by their characters in some way: in Agamemnon , for example, it is inseparably linked to a desire for revenge and to reclaim what is his: in Diomedes it is moderated and restrained: in Odysseus and Nestor it is amenable to practical and political considerations: in Aias it is largely unconscious to the extent that it is comic brute force: in Paris it is set aside for a desire for pleasure: and in Hector it is complicated by the needs of others. Thus Achilles is the only character with a great love of battle and glory. He is just about the only great hero who is on the trip for heroics. His decision to return and fight and accept early death, moreover, is most admirable, rather than stay out of the battle and live long. In the heroic world life expectancy was much shorter than it is today. Of course , especially ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Effects Of Dementia On The Brain Essay Reckless behavior early in life can affect the rest of your life dramatically. Whether it is drinking too much, use of illegal drugs, or even just a simple vehicle accident, it can cause brain damage which can lead to dementia. Dementia isn t necessarily a disease but rather terminology to describe a set of symptoms. Severe impairment in intellectual capacity and personality, often due to damage to the brain (Gazzaniga, Grison, Heatherton, 2015). In other words, dementia comes with an inability to process surroundings, a difference in character, and, depending in severity, complete memory loss. This loss is because nerve cells in the parts of the brain that are responsible for cognition, like the cerebellum (Molinari, 2002), have been damaged and can no longer function normally. There are many types of dementia, such as, Alzheimer s, the most common, as well as many others that differ in symptoms. Though many kinds of dementia normally end in pain, suffering and often death, there is no cure. Dementia is a neurocognitive disorder that can affects one s life drastically, because of memory loss, an inability to preform everyday activities, and personality changes. When diagnosing an individual with dementia, doctors perform a series of tests that evaluate their cognition ability as well as taking a MRI scan of the brain. Doctors also follow DSM 5, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, guidelines. According to this manual dementia is considered a major or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Bilbo Baggins Opinion In this essay I will be discussing my personal opinion on The Hobbit. The story unfolds about a timid, fearful hobbit embarking on a journey with dwarves who are seeking revenge on a dragon named Smaug. He took their home and whilst doing so killed many of their loved ones. This novel is about an ordinary and common person who through strife and persistence becomes a hero and does extraordinary things. This main character is Bilbo Baggins. Gandalf persuades him to set off on a great journey in which they will face much peril. In the face of danger Bilbo overcomes his fear and finds an inner strength which he has never encountered before. This helps him to finish the journey and proves Gandalf s claim which he made at the beginning of the novel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Hobbit is set in Middle Earth, which is a fantasy land created by J R R Tolkien. In this particular book the middle earth is restricted to the western lands. The story begins and ends in Hobbiton, a town in the shire. This is a peaceful town where Bilbo is from and is usually untouched by troubles and dangerous creatures such as trolls and goblins. As the book progresses the story guides us through the forest of Mirkwood, the lonely mountains, ruins of Dale, Laketown and of course the Misty Mountains where the dwarves rightful home is located inside the mountain. I really like the area where this amazing story is set as the land is full of many interesting and magical places such as the forest of Mirkwood and the elves palace. The land changes so much throughout the story, it goes through mountains, forests, fields, lakes, rivers, palaces and kingdoms and this compelled me to read on because I was so entranced by these amazing regions. The cultural climate is similar to that of England in the Middle Ages as magic was a powerful force and many believed in the existence of goblins and elves. Altogether England and middle earth have many parallels. This setting influences the story as it provides an evil race, which opposes the dwarves, and it influences the magic involved within this book which plays a massive part in the dwarves fight as without Gandalf s Magic they would not have made it as far as the misty mountains. I really liked the setting as it enticed me to persist in reading the book and it added many interesting aspects which influences the story and how the events played ... • 11. Should Gaming Be A Sport Essay Should Gaming Be A Sport? I for one am for gaming be considered a sport. I am one of the guilty ones who can play them hours at a time and maybe 8 hours straight but that s rare now. I ve had experience with gaming since I was only three years old at which I had a gaming console, the Xbox 360. There are of course the people who hate gamers and call them lazy then telling them to do something productive. Sure they could be right in some aspect but what they don t realize what our brains are doing. That is a key point in which this topic will be discussed. Again with the people who hate gaming, most of them haven t even touched a game before and if they have they most likely hated or didn t want anything to do with it. It s all about how you want to play and getting better at it. Many people believe gaming is a useless effort which does no good for your brains or body, while the body part can be true for those who don t actually do anything proactive as a hobby can gain weight if they eat a lot while gaming or lose weight if they starve themselves to ... The thing is, gaming already is a sport somewhat, it s something called an eSport (electronic sport). Sure you can argue about how it s not a true sport but it s mainly a hobby that doesn t require much physique to do. There are tournaments all over the world that take place every year and many years before now and those that will come after. In July 2014, an outstanding 11,000 people stuffed themselves into a basketball arena in Seattle. They were not there to watch a basketball game, but to watch gamers compete for $11 million in prize money. These tournaments make gamers be competitive and sometimes rage induced for these kinds of events for a good cause. • 12. Job Redesign For Expanded Health Information Management In reading and analyzing the case study on Job Redesign for Expanded Health Information Management (HIM) Functions by Elizabeth Layman I was baffled to see that someone could take some rather fascinating and useful information and obscure it into such an annoyingly mind numbing text so as to eradicate almost all of its intrinsic value to everyone except for the most vigilant and persistent reader with a resilient constitution against sleep and boredom. Having arduously trudged through it, I was able to glean a few things in relativity to goal setting and job enrichment. How are the principles of goal setting applied in this case? While she mentions company goals in a few instances there was nothing really that directly addressed the principles of goal setting, unless you read in between the lines and apply them this way. One of the very purposes of this paper was to outline how HIM can detect, identify, analyze, and solve problems in the work environment which infers that they are trying to reach some form of a goal. In relating this to the mnemonic of a SMART goal, the paper outlines Specific steps that can be taken to help overcome Specific issues if your goal is Specifically to mitigate one of those issues then you are in luck. Art was a way of expressing the feelings and desires that was denied by social norms imposed by an authoritarian government. As a result, there was a clash of ideas that pushed artists to focus on subtle refinement of traditional styles and the values therein. This sentiment not only applied to religious art, but to secular art forms as well due to the wealthy patrons being a part of the systems that restricted society. However, this restriction created a unique environment that birthed art and ideas that are unique to their time and place as the lack of outside influences forced all to turn inwards for inspiration. Therefore, the balance between the visible and the invisible is represented in the design of the art. The first artwork is Pair of Phoenix Overdoor Panels (Ramma) which was designed in the 19th century during the Edo period for a Buddhist temple. The elaborate wooden carving derives its aesthetics from the ideas and symbolism that are attached to the phoenix. Being a mythical creature, the phoenix brought over much of its symbolism from China when Buddhism was introduced to Japan during the 7th century. This example is carved of wood that is lacquered and painted with metal accent inlays. Buddhist temples of the time had architecture that resembled their Chinese counterparts, but reinterpreted to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Response To Peter Singer At any given moment, there are people around the world suffering and dying due to severe poverty. According to Peter Singer, there is much more that we can do to help create a better life for these people. He makes the obvious statement, in which most people agree with, that suffering and death due to poverty are very bad. His second idea is that if we are able to prevent that from happening without sacrificing too much for ourselves, we should. Essentially, we should prevent a bad thing from happening if it is in our power to do so without causing harm to ourselves in any way. An example of this that Singer points out is, if I am walking past a shallow pond and see a child drowning in it, I ought to wade in and pull the child out. This will mean getting my clothes muddy, but this is insignificant, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two of the objections are the blind and kidney examples. If a doctor were to come up to a perfectly healthy person and tell them that he or she needs to give one eye to a blind person so they can see, most often, they would immediately say no. The giver would be left with only one eye to see, while the receiver would be gifted with one eye to see. It seems to be a negative outcome for the person giving the eye and a positive outcome for the one receiving it. The same goes for the kidney, if someone is asked to donate a kidney to a complete stranger, they would say no in this situation as well. They do not believe they should be expected to give a kidney to a random stranger because it only leaves them with one healthy kidney for themselves, but it also saves the receiver from possible death. In both situations, it seems as though they are sacrificing too much of his or her self, which goes against Singer s second premise of preventing something bad from happening without sacrificing too much. • 16. Hariharan M, Wheatley TA, and Price JC s Study of... A study by Hariharan M, Wheatley TA, and Price JC (1997) investigated controlled release on two kinds of carrageenan, lambda carrageenan (Viscarin GP 209) and iota carrageenan (Gelcarin GP 379). They analyzed their respective compression capabilities through the use of a Strokes single punch machine. Yield pressure was calculated at 81.3 Pa for iota carrageenan and 105.2 MPa for lambda carrageenan through the use of Heckel plots out of die tablet densities. The results proved linear. Both carrageenan types yielded near zero order profiles in drug release tablet formulations. The tablet compression pressures had little to no effect on the profiles from 70 to 175 MPa. It was found out that while drug loading increased from 5% to 20%, the exponent of diffusion decreased from 1.056 to 0.678. From zero order release, the breakup of tablets during the dissolution and departure were the result of 30% drug loading. To predict the time for 50% release as a function of the concentration of both types of carrageenan, the researchers used multiple regression analysis, which was also used for microcrystalline cellulose, a third filler material used in the setup. They concluded that the observed values and the predicted values of the research were in good agreement and the R2 for the final cubic model was 0.9984. (Hariharan M, Wheatley TA, Price JC., 1997) B. • 18. Discuss The Relationship Between The HRM And CSR Relationship 1) THE HRM CSR RELATIONSHIP The correlation between HRM and CSR has recently been acknowledged (Buciuniene Kazlauskaite, 2012; Pless et al., 2012) and while there are studies solely focusing on the role of HRM in developing CSR practices (ref) there have been other studies recognizing the two way relationship (ref). According to my understanding of the two distinct disciplines, the relationship can be studied from the CSR to HRM perspective which enables the development of HRM policies and practices under a moral and ethical lens, and from the HRM to CSR link which focuses on the roles of HRM in the development and implementation of CSR strategy. I believe that there are mutual beneficial aspects of constructing a two way HRM CSR relation, however this study will maintain a realistic approach and HRM has a stronger grasp in corporate affairs compered to CSR management. This is due to mainly two reasons: first, HRM has been widely developed in research since early 1920s being therefore more utilized within corporations while CSR is a concept taking momentum now and still broadly debated. Second, there is more evidence about HRM acting as a corporate facilitator to reach positive a profitable outcomes compered to CSR strategies which are still discussed among business and political parties. Therefore, in order to produce a conceptual tool that can be substantially used the emphases will be given to the role of HRM in developing CSR policies. 1.1 THE CROSS CULTURAL ... The subject comes up in multiple situations: dinner parties, coffee dates, even when someone is eavesdropping on a neighbor s endeavors with his mistress. Nowadays, it seems as if horror stories about infidelity are more common than happy marriages. Cheating on a spouse is morally wrong, so why not make it easy and legalize the act of polygamy? Polygamy is defined as willfully and knowingly having more than one husband or wife. As unnatural as it seems, many successful people have been in multiple marriages at once. This angered the Mormons greatly and tried to gain the right for polygamy. After timeless efforts and multiple failures, they started to practice underground. The final straw before underground families was the Short Creek Raid in 1953. Police arrested the prophet, two men and three of their wives in a little place known as Short Creek, right above the Grand Canyon. The two men were arrested for cohabitation, which lead to government forces joining alliances with Utah, Arizona, and Idaho to raid Short Creek again. The raid resulted in forty six arrests of men and women in the community (Duncan 321). Following the raid, numerous families had to go into hiding and live their lives as inconspicuously as possible. There are four polygnist clans. Unfortunately, these families had a great deal of hardships. • 20. How William Harvey Demonstrated Intellectual Honesty in... Intellectual honesty is an applied method to present and discuss facts in unbiased, fair and open minded manner. In the seventeenth century, William Harvey published his work The Circulation of the Blood. His publication became revolutionary not only because of its scientific contributions, but also because it demonstrated a great example of intellectual honesty, a valuable disposition required for all scholars and scientists. Through his work The Circulation of the Blood, William Harvey expressed intellectual honesty in three different ways: how conventional beliefs did not interfere with his search of truth; how he acknowledged and accepted other relevant publications; and how he defended his view in an unbiased manner. William Harvey was born in 1578 in Folkenstone, England. Like many young scholars at the time, he went to Kings College, graduated, and then enrolled at Italy s famous medical school, University of Padua. As he graduated with high honors, Harvey also accumulated mixed experiences and knowledge coming from his predecessors and colleagues. Among such, the teachings of Claudius Galen regarding the heart s circulation proved most profound and vague to Harvey. According to Galen, A natural spirit promoting growth and nutrition was added in the liver and carried throughout the body by the veins (Silverman 245). Galen suggested that all pulmonary artery and veins were centered on the liver. His hypothetical assumption resulted in a flawed belief about the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Data collection could be improved by using a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) or a diet history interview that asks for usual intakes of iodine containing foods. FFQ are more often used and preferred as they are more cost effective. A major problem with dietary surveys is the likelihood of under reporting, where the participant either changes their dietary behaviour because of survey participation or misrepresents their consumption to appear healthier.2 It must also be considered that most young children are unable to recall their intakes. • 23. The Genocide Of The Rwanda Essay In 1994, Rwanda was a situation of hatred and revenge tailored by European influence that mixed together to form the recipe for Genocide. Classical control of third world nations and exploitation by the west is nothing new. In Africa, the direction of the government is often manipulated by countries that have had historical control over them. The Genocide of Rwanda was a transfer of position that placed the Hutu people in a seat of power over the former rulers, which were the Tutsis elite. This shift in power led to the division of a nation, evolving propaganda, and a psychological approach used to create a genocide. In the early history of Rwanda, there lie differences in people, but peace among the populace was always upheld in the eyes of the Tutsis. In the opinion of the Hutu, they recall being subjugated beneath the mwami , the Tutsis elite. In the precolonial times, the Hutu and Tutsis were called a collective name, the Banyarwanda, which was the term for people of Rwanda. Germany gained control of the region in 1885 and governed their region through the mwami . An English man named John Hanning Speke gave a hardline separation of the two people that would be echoed by the Belgians and the Hutus later into the 20th century. • 25. The Cause And Effects Of The Mini Ice Age The mini ice age, or Little Ice Age (LIA), was a period of time characterized by a decrease in temperatures worldwide. Although there are no definite times for the start and end of the Little Ice Age, it is generally accepted that it occurred from approximately 1300 CE to 1850 CE. The coldest stage of this time lasted from around 1645 to 1715. Also, the expansion of mountain glaciers in several locations was a distinctive feature of the Little Ice Age. The event had various effects and its origins are disputable. Several causes of the Little Ice Age have been proposed. One of them describes a decrease in sunspot activity, or times when dark spots form on the sun due to low temperatures. The lack of sunspots during the LIA is known as the Maunder Minimum. Since it appeared to occur concurrently with the coldest part of the ice age, from 1645 to 1715, it was considered a plausible reason to explain the Little Ice Age. However, this theory has its flaws, because modeled simulations point to the idea that temperatures would ve dropped to a maximum of 0.4ÂșC, when the world saw actual decreases of 1 2ÂșC. Furthermore, the Little Ice Age started before the Maunder Minimum happened, so additional information is needed to explain the original cause of the LIA. Another idea for the catalyst of the Little Ice Age involves the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), a circulation of atmospheric pressure in North America and northern Europe. This alone has a great likelihood of negatively impacting airport capacity at several of Frontier Airlines major hubs due to inefficient runway use. This case study will focus on delays and congestion at Frontier s east coast hub, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and how improvements can effectively reduce the amount of delayed flights Frontier consistently experiences. Background Philadelphia Municipal Airport opened on June 20, 1940 along the banks of the Delaware River. By year s end, approximately 40,000 passengers travelled through the airport. By 1945, the municipal airport became Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) courtesy of transatlantic service by American Overseas Airlines. In the 1960s and 1970s, expansion and modernization paved way for the airport facility in use today. Increased popularity of air travel, population growth, and urban development have all contributed to the increase in congestion and decrease in capacity at PHL over the years. FAA records as far back as 1995 show that PHL ranked consistently as one of the most delayed airports (FAA, 2010). Many of these delays at PHL have secondary and tertiary effects at the airports to which the originating flights are destined. As American culture continues to shift towards a romanticized view of premarital sexual intercourse, one ought to ask his or herself if this is truly a morally permissible act. Personally, I find this behavior alarming, and in this essay, I hope to persuade readers as to why premarital sexual intercourse should not be accepted or encouraged. I will begin by criticizing a typical modus tollens argument pro premarital sexual intercourse advocates often present. Next, I will defend my claim that the presented argument is unsound by providing an equivalent example. I will then address a possible objection to my stance, and I will overcome this objection by examining a few of the numerous negative consequences to premarital sexual intercourse. The pro premarital sexual intercourse argument is as follows: 1) If premarital sexual intercourse is morally impermissible for adults, then it is reasonable to prohibit premarital sexual intercourse for adults (given what we know about the growth and development of young men and women). 2) It is not reasonable to prohibit premarital sexual intercourse for adults (given what we know about the growth and development of young men and women). 3) So, it is not the case that premarital sexual intercourse is ... The U.S. healthcare industry, defined in its broader sense for the purposes of this discussion, includes several other industries (Riggs ed., 2015). Industries that compose the larger U.S. healthcare industry as a whole would include the U.S. hospital system, the pharmaceutical industry, and various other suppliers of medical goods and services. Many of these separately defined industries within the U.S. healthcare industry would be described as being at different stages within the industry life cycle model. However, this discussion will focus on the U.S. healthcare industry as a whole. Utilizing an industry life cycle model as described by Parnell (2014), I would consider the U.S. healthcare industry in the maturity stage of the industry life cycle. This conclusion was reached by examining key characteristics within the U.S healthcare system and its history. Up until the early 20th century, the U.S. healthcare system was composed primarily of home care rendered by providers without high levels of scientific or technical knowledge compared to today s standards. This early stage of the U.S healthcare industry would be considered the introduction stage of the industry life cycle. The same procedures were also done in the preparation of the diluted unknown Cu(II) solution. Addition of ammonia caused the formation of deeper blue copper ammonia complex which allowed the spectrophotometer to detect the solution easily due to increase in its absorbance. The formation of the complex is shown by the following chemical reaction: Cu2+ + 4NH3 [Cu(NH3)4]2+ (4) A deficiency in ammonia in the solution would cause the copper ammonia complex to turn into its hydrated form which would eventually alter the accuracy of the data obtained because of its

Hence, when researchers carry out studies on aggression, the operational definition of aggression is often referred to the behavior that injures or irritates another person. Aggression behaviors are caused by many factors, such as social and environmental. People often associate aggression with the nature of human. There were two arguments on this nature; one ... By the late childhood, those difficult preschoolers with passive parents tended to perform aggressive behavior in school. Reinforcement refers to the contingent response from parents towards children s aggression. Children who are rewarded for aggression tend to continue such aggressive behavior. On the other hand, children who are punished for aggression tend to stop such aggressive behavior. A study if the development and socialization of aggression done by Keenan (2002), revealed a gender differences on aggression. He demonstrated that rates of aggression were higher in boys than in girls at the end of the preschool period. Besides, Ross et al. The agency noted that the delays set off a number of quarrels between customers and low cost carriers for failing to provide satisfactory explanations or solutions. At other times, the website reported, the carriers didn t make staff available to answer questions. The carriers were accused of being poor problem solvers, as they usually informed passengers of the delays or cancellation at the last possible minute, and repeatedly changed flight times. Many passengers complained to local media about a tendency for local airlines to only inform passengers of cancellations a couple hours before the scheduled departure time or after they have waited a couple hours at the airport. When the carriers sent text messages to passengers about the delays, they did not apologize and failed to provide an explanation or compensation for the inconvenience. Worse still, many passengers at the airport were not provided with food while waiting for their flights to be resumed. Lack of proper punishments seems to be a problem in the country s aviation industry, which has seen sharp increases in the rates of delays and cancellations recently. Governmental mandates that streamlined the board and that established accounting /reporting parameters have done little to modify the organizations operational culture. These re occurring incidents have shaken the confidence of stakeholders and have begun to have an adverse impact on donor perceptions of the integrity and validity of the efforts promoted by ARC (Welch, 2012). In March 2012, local leaders and the United Way demanded answers from Red Cross Panhandle Chapter regarding the distribution of $282K that was raised from wildfire relief donations. These funds were raised in 2010 and by the time the inquiries began many of the 2010 ARC staff in this chapter had been replaced under the government restructure. As such, new staff found itself in a quandary as it sought to address the questions and accusations being hurled (Welch, 2012). The tangible numbers that were eventually conveyed indicated that of the $282k raised, $119k was actually given to victims and $60K was used to restock inventories. This account still left $103K unaccounted for. The next speculation that surfaced was revolved around why the funds were not distributed for the purpose for which it was collected? A spokesperson for the local ARC chapter communicated that, personally, he [did] not like this [situation] and he acknowledged the top two previous chapter officials made errors. It was noted that these same two officials left the company in May of 2011 for what ARC labeled as personal reasons . The United States from its birth as the thirteen colonies has been relatively accepting of other Christian denominations. Norris and Inglehart try to make a similar point, but they mistakenly claim that the United States was formed as a religious refuge in their Religious Participation Hypothesis (Norris and Inglehart 2008, 225 226). Tracking the religiosity of some countries can be difficult due to government regulations. Syria, for example, would not be an easy place to obtain data concerning religiosity of the contemporaries. Some places such as Turkmenistan consider data to be government secrets. In places where government interference causes the inability to collect data, the religious markets hypothesis becomes relevant. The religious markets hypothesis includes government control of religion. Because governments would be obstructing access to data on religious affiliations, research can be done to determine if that country is under a theocracy, dictatorship, or tyrannical regime. If so, it is possible that the religiosity of that country is being determined by the culture formed by the government itself. This can be tested by determining the predominant religion of the area. Surveying refugees or migrants from that country can provide some data, but unfortunately, many contemporaries would probably not respond truthfully or at all because of the fear of retribution against themselves or family still within the country of origin. They are lying in a pool of their own blood, for they have accommodated the neurotic behavior of pulling their own hair out. This innocent hare has gone through the melancholy torture that is animal testing. Most people deem that animal testing is a form of cruelty. Animal testing can cause major injury, psychological damage, and even death; how ethical is it, actually? The opposing side argues that there is not a safe alternative to animal testing. According to the California Biomedical Research Association, studying cells in a petri dish does not produce an opportunity to study different reactions that can occur in the circulatory, nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. (source) By using petri dishes, a result of higher relevancy emerges because they are actual human cells. There are also methods such as microdosing. Microdosing is the distribution of the chemicals, doses far too miniscule to be harmful, to living volunteers. This procedure allows scientists to study how the body reacts and stores the chemicals without any damage or pain done to the volunteer. Others argue that computer models are only reliable if there has already been information gathered from animal testing. This shouldn t be a shock to any artist since there are major finance issues behind every field of being a successful artist. To put it into simple context, being an artist of any kind is costly. First, there is a variety of how expensive a career can be to an artist all while depending on the type of work you put in. While considering art, you have many issues to take into account such as finding and paying for a workspace, supplies, and the time to be productive. Searching for and affording a space to work in is an important topic for any artist. Artists need a proper facility to house the right equipment such has being a designer, painter, sculptor, etc. Unless you are wealthy right after art school moving into a big city where space is expensive isn t really the smartest choice. Many artists have turned to New York after graduating and experienced financial times very hard. It is quite common for many young artists to migrate into a large city, finding themselves paying tons of money for a small studio or apartment. My advice to anyone starting in this field would be to look elsewhere for work, in a much less expensive setting where you can start off and be financially stable. He carefully compares the Earth Men and the Martians to convey his disappointment with some of society s ideals. Bradbury expresses his dismay at the exploitation of contrasting civilizations, and indicates one of the fatal flaws of human beings in general, and Americans in particular: hubris. He utilizes both setting and analogies in his critiques. This hubris, in the aspect of American ethnocentrism, is criticized throughout his short stories in the form of analogies. In many of his short stories, Bradbury relates the Martians to Native Americans who had their land destroyed. Jeff Spender, in And The Moon be Still As Bright , points out that Earth Men have a talent for ruining big, beautiful things (54) . Bradbury directly compares the Earth Men who reached Mars to the settlers who reached the New World and violently pushed out Native Americans already living on those lands.
