Inhumane In Nazi Germany
In this photo, you see the bodies of innocent Jews who were brutally murdered by Nazi s. They
were then carried to a certain disposal point. Once at this point, they were thrown into massive
piles and either buried or burned. The people carrying the bodies were also Jews forced to do this
job. At least they were lucky to be alive. These people will be scarred for the rest of their lives.
These memories will be burned into their brains forever. What these Jewswere put through is
inhumane and should never happen to anyone no matter what they ve done. To be put through
carrying dead bodies, but not only dead bodies, dead bodies of your own race would be
tremendously agonizing and brutal. Forced labor played an important role in the Nazi regime s...

They entered Auschwitz and there found hundreds of sick and exhausted prisoners. The Jews
that survive will have to live out the rest of their lives constantly thinking of what has happened
to them or their families. They will never forget the tragedies, and will probably always
remember it like it happened yesterday. I feel sorrow for these Jews, and what they had to go
through in there troublesome past. They did nothing to deserve it, but dealt with it strongly and
struggled through it. They survived, and live today to tell the stories of it. Some Jews are very
successful as they live the lives of normal human beings. Like Martin Greenfield, an American
master tailor, based in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in men s suits. He s successful, has
money, and works alongside his two sons, Jay and Tod. He is also married to his wife Arlene, in
which he married in 1956. These people have learned to put the past behind them, and make the best
out what life they have left. They may have thoughts about the past and their personal tragedies, but
instead of grieving, they use it as motivation putting the next foot forward and carrying on with the

Hans Zimmer s Life And Accomplishments
Hans Zimmer is one of the most famous composers in the world. One can hear his music in a
multitude of video games, movies, and television shows. He has composed for movies like The
Lion King, The Prince of Egypt, Pearl Harbor, Batman Begins, and Gladiator. He is best known
for his work with electronic synthesizers and keyboards. His works are well renowned around the
world, and will be remembered throughout the ages. Hans Zimmer was born in Germany, but
was raised mostly in England (AllMusic). By the time he was six, he knew he wanted to be a
composer, despite having no formal musical training. When he was a teenager, he began to
compose advertising jingles for television commercials (Encyclopedia). He met British musicians
Geoff Downs and Trevor Horn when he was in his early twenties. Together, they formed the rock
group The Buggles. With their world wide hit Video Killed the... Show more content on

The score for this movie took him about three and a half weeks to compose, but was the score that
earned him a Golden Globe, Chicago Films Critic Awards, two Grammys, and American Music
Award, and his only Academy Award to date (Encyclopedia).
Zimmer s next big hit was Gladiator, which garnered an Oscar nomination, as well as Golden
Globe and Broadcast Film Critic Awards nominations (Hans Zimmer). The album for Gladiator
soon became one of the best selling film score albums of all time (FilmTracks). His popularity grew
even more, and he also became the composer for films such as The Road to El Dorado, The Prince
of Egypt, Pearl Harbor, and Pirates of the Caribbean (Hans Zimmer).
Hans Zimmer is different than other film composers in that he does not perform live very often. In
fact, he did not perform live until the 27th Annual Flanders International Film Festival in 2011.
Zimmer performed with a 100 piece orchestra and 100 piece choir. The concert was recorded and

With The Recent Election Being Highly Controversial And
With the recent election being highly controversial and contested the United States finds itself with
an incredibly volatile and inclement political climate. While the United States continues to face
social and political issues rap music and its artist have been a source to document the oppression
that is still occurring within the country. Documenting racism and oppression by using politically
charged lyrics is a method the rap community is particularly familiar. As time went on rap artists
began to become more politically informed and began to shine through their lyrics to become
sources to start a national dialogue. Rap artists like Tupac Shakur, Chuck D, Chance the Rapper,

Price: Comparison of Culture and Work The historical parallel of culture and how both received
criticisms is remarkable comparison between the two art forms. In the scholarly article,
Hegemony, Hope, and the Harlem Renaissance: Taking Hip Hop Culture Seriously author,
Robert Price, offers an excellent depiction of the similarity between the two art forms and
provides the reader with several examples of how both groups of artists had the same beginnings
and culture. Price offers a comparative analysis of the two cultures by demonstrating how both
groups faced criticism from outside sources but even faced criticism within the African
American community. Price builds upon the idea by describing the paradigm shift that both the
rap artists and the protest poets had faced. Price uses Bill Cosby as an example of a critic of the
culture rap music created and truly does not believe in the use of rap music as a political beacon
to start a national dialogue for the oppression of the African American community. After offering
Cosby as an example as a critic of rap culture Price begins to offer an analysis of a paradigm shift
between the new and old generation. Price offers an example of the paradigm shift by stating, The
generational shift at work in hip hop culture as the new ideological nexus for black culture has
implications for adult educators and administrators who need to take these cultural shifts seriously.

Conjuring Spells
Conjuration Noun: 1.A magic incantation or spell. 2. The performance of something supernatural
by the means of a magic incantation or spell. Origin: Latin conjurare, or conjuratio. For example
the preposterous claim that he could raise the spirits of the dead with a mystical conjuration.
There are two main types of conjuring spells. Those which conjure objects and those which
conjure spirits. Spells which conjure objects are relatively simple to cast and rarely have negative
consequences to casting. Those spells which conjure spirits are some of the most powerful spells
in existence. When these spells are cast incorrectly the caster is usually haunted for the rest of their

Pepsi in the Twenty First Century For over a century, Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola vied for throat
share of the world s beverage market. The most intense battles of the cola wars were fought over
the $60 billion industry in the United States, where the average American consumed 53 gallons
of carbonated soft drinks (CSD) per year. In a carefully waged competitive struggle, from 1975

tC CSD consisted of a flavor base, a sweetener, and carbonated water. Four major participants were
involved in the production and distribution of CSDs: 1) concentrate producers; 2) bottlers; 3) retail
channels; and 4) suppliers.3 Concentrate Producers The concentrate producer blended raw material
ingredients (excluding sugar or high fructose corn syrup), packaged it in plastic canisters, and
shipped the blended ingredients to the bottler. The concentrate producer added artificial sweetener
to make diet soda concentrate, while bottlers added sugar or high fructose corn syrup themselves.
The process involved little capital investment in machinery, overhead, or labor. A typical
concentrate manufacturing plant cost approximately $25 million to $50 million to build, and one
plant could serve the entire United States. No A concentrate producer s most significant costs were
for advertising, promotion, market research, and bottler relations. Marketing programs were jointly
implemented and financed by concentrate producers and bottlers. Concentrate producers usually
took the lead in developing the programs, particularly in product planning, market research, and
advertising. They invested heavily in their trademarks over time, with innovative and sophisticated
marketing campaigns (see Exhibit 2). Bottlers assumed a larger role in developing trade and

Healthy Weight Level Research Paper
I am at my healthy weight level. I am 6 feet tall (a little taller according to my doctor) and weigh
at 140 lbs. My frame size is small. I don t have a problem with my body weight because a lot of
my family members are tall and slim. When I am not at school or have homework, I am always
doing something, such as hanging out with friends and/or family, kickboxing, going to dance,
going to workout classes, traveling, at work, etc.
I don t have any eating disorders. I love to eat! Before college, sometimes, well a lot of times, I didn
t choose the right types of food. The top three things I ate were fried chicken, fries, and cereal. I ate
cereal so much that my godparents called me cereal baby. Now, I eat a lot more baked chicken and

Obamacare Tragedy
Obamacare uses federal subsidies make health care premiums more affordable for people with
lower incomes. People closer to the poverty line receive extra subsidies which reduce the cost of
deductibles greatly and can even reach thousands of dollars. However, the case for many of the
middle class Americans is very different. For a person earning more than $47,520 or a four person
family earning $97,200, the premiums and deductibles are very pricey making healthcare coverage
unaffordable. The middle class doesn t receive the subsidies like the lower income does.
Obamacare isn t making health care more affordable a crossed the board, rather it focuses on
helping people with lower incomes by reducing deductibles prices. This makes Obamacare

The Financial Meltdown Of 2008
The Lehman Brothers scandal is what many consider to be the catalyst that started the financial
meltdown of 2008. This paper is meant to look at what took place during the start of the
meltdown and what caused Lehman to fail. Who was involved? What caused one of the largest
banking institutions in history to fail? What could have been done differently? These are a few of
the questions I d like to address in the next few pages. In the Fall of 2008 things were starting to
look bad for Lehman Brothers. Much of their investments were in the housing market which was
beginning to fall, and fall hard. On Friday September 12, Hank Paulson the US Treasury Secretary

Fulds goals were essentially to overtake rivals like Goldman or Merrill who had been in the
game for a long time, using borrowed money was his solution to this. In 1994, right around when
Dick Fulds was appointed CEO, Lehman shares were valued at $4/share, by 2007 at Lehman s
peak, shares were valued at a staggering $84/share. This massive growth was primarily attributed to
Lehman s expansion into other more complex investments, including credit default swaps. As
defined by Investopedia, A credit default swapis a particular type of swap designed to transfer the
credit exposure of fixed income products between two or more parties. In a credit default swap,
the buyer of the swap makes payments to the swap s seller up until the maturity date of a contract.
In return, the seller agrees that, in the event that the debt issuer defaults or experiences another
credit event, the seller will pay the buyer the security s premium as well all interest payments that
would have been paid between that time and the security s maturity date. At the time this was seen
as a normal practice, but firms began to speculate with these swaps and this is what ultimately
caused many large financial firms like AIG to collapse. Risk was the name of the game and was
how Lehman began to operate under Fuld. It was believed that the firms creating these complicated

Lessons Learned Report On Iranian Culture

Abstract
This paper shows cultural differences between Iranians, Chinese and Indians in business
negotiations based on interviews with three businessmen: an American citizen who set up a general
trading company in China, an Iranian Canadian citizen who has a trading company in Iran, and an
Indian America who set up a business in India. The interview questions focused on cultural
elements based on Hofstede s research: power distance, low high context, and general business
behavior in these countries.
Lessons Learned Report
Knowledge of other cultures is one of the keys to being successful in business dealings. This paper
reports on real experiences in cross cultural business interactions from three different perspectives. I
interviewed three successful businessmen, one who worked with Iranians, one with Chinese, and
one with Indians. I interviewed them independently, and my questions covered four different
elements: cultural behavior in business negotiations, management as symbol of high power distance
in the companies, knowledge of high context or low context culture, and finally knowledge of each
of culture to have better business negotiation in future.
An Iranian Canadian Citizen
My first Interview was with an Iranian Canadian citizen, Mr. P. Danesh, who has lived in Canada

Break-Up Ice Dams
There s no denying Winter is the harshest season for a roof to endure. Temperature fluctuations,
ice, freezing rain, sleet, snow and wind take their toll on your shingles. It is essential to protect
your roof from Winter s elements so it can keep you and your family protected.
There is more to inspecting your roof than checking it out from your driveway or backyard.
Follow these suggestions for keeping your roof in tip top shape after a heavy snow, high velocity
winds or ice storm.
Look at your gutters, downspouts, and shingles for damage
After high winds, shingles can be torn or blown off completely, leaving you roof deck exposed to
moisture. Damaged shingles need to replaced immediately. Remove leaves, sticks and ice buildup
in your gutter and downspouts. By not removing the ice or debris, ice and water can back up and
get underneath your shingles. Once underneath the deck, moisture infiltration can cause major
damage to walls and cells. Moisture infiltration can lead to mold and bacteria growth which can
lead to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The melting and refreezing cycle places an enormous amount of stress on the shingles and the entire
roof system. It causes shingles to rip, tear, and crack, which allows moisture to enter the inside of
the home.
An inspection of your roof for damage prior to Winter is not an annual event. Your roof is the key
to protecting your family and your most important investment, your home. That s why it is essential
that you inspect the roof for possible damage after every major weather event. Investing some time
and having patience while conducting a roof inspection, after a Winter storm, can save you money
in the long run.
If you aren t sure of what to look for during your pre Winter and in season roof inspections,
consider hiring a trained and knowledge roofing contractor or roof inspector. They know where to
look, advise you of potential problems, and how to fix

Argumentative Essay On Electoral College
Electoral College The most important time of the year in the USA is when all the citizens gather
together and cast a vote for their elect president. During this process most people would say this
when Americans really show out for their democracy. Many times we have seen the electoral
college not work in favor of the people.. Or maybe it does. The arguments to maintain the Electoral
College system are all derived from the notion that it has worked fine thus far. There have been
many attempts to reform the electoral system but none of them have been successful. This is due to
the fact that no electionsystem is perfect, but the current system has stood the test of time. It has
never rejected the winner of a popular vote majority. It always produces clear and immediately
known winners, so far. Getting rid of the Electoral College system would be profoundly dangerous.
Especially with the way modern... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The electoral college began in 1964 with the constitution of the United States in Article II, Clause
II. The total number of electors are 538 and the required number of electoral votes for the
candidates running for president to win the presidency is 270. Along the years, many people
have argued that the electoral college is not a fair. Twice with the running candidates we have
seen elect presidents win due to the electoral college. For example, back in 2000 with Gore vs
Bush, Gore had won the popular vote but did not win the amount of electoral votes to win
presidency, therefore Bush had won and became president. A second example of this happening is
in the recent president election with Clinton vs Trump, Clinton had won the popular vote by
nearly 2 million more votes than Trump. In the end, Trump was the first to receive all 270
electoral votes needed to win and therefore won and became our elect president. When electoral
votes happen it leaves many to question does our vote really

Job Proverbs, Ecclesiastes And
The books of Wisdom : Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs are hugely
different from the preceding books of history. They focus on raising questions about God, creation
itself, humanity and the essence of evil and suffering. In Job, we see one of the most famous
individuals in the Old Testament. His continual struggles and trials cause him to call out to Godfor
answers, and he receives one in Job 40:2 Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct
Him?He who rebukes God, let him answer it. It s hard to read of Job s suffering and crying out
to God without questioning why God would let him suffer, but it does show us the peace that can
be found in recognizing God s sovereignty. In Psalms, we see a collection of lyrical poetry, songs
and prayers. Many of these were written by King David himself. The book covers almost the entire

For example, in Proverbs 10:4 5, we see that working hard will lead us to a better life, but slacking

Ecclesiastes 12:13 14 we get Solomon s basic lesson to those who are seeking a full and
abundant life Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His
commandments, For this is man s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including
every secret thing,Whether good or evil. In Song of Songs, we see another lyrical, poetic book.

how love, marriage and even sex are to be viewed and practiced in a loving Christian home. Some

Banning Alcohol From Mainstream Consumption
Let s travel back in time, for a second, to the 1840 s. Hundreds upon thousands of Americans
flocked to the western half of the country, fleeing their homes and risking their very lives for a
chance to strike it rich. Some were triumphant, others failed, and everyone learned a little
something along the way... Now, fast forward a few decades to the twentieth century. The United
States government just enacted an amendment into the Constitution, banning alcohol from
mainstream consumption. A collective of citizens grew irate and resisted, beginning a
movement that would effect the country for years to come. So what do the Gold Rush and
Prohibition have to do with the Internet? Well, they re essentially what the Internet has been like
for me. As both a creator and consumer, cyberspace has turned making and viewing art into both
a prospect and, in some instances, a protest. Five, even ten years ago, nobody could have
imagined the kind of force the digital age would usher. As information was exchanged, people
soon figured out that they had a virtual library at their fingertips. I don t even have to think
about leaving the house to find out which watercolor brand was the best money could buy a
quick Google search could yield plenty of answers to that question. (About 1,040,000 results, to
be exact!) I see myself a miner, and the Internet gives me the tools I need to create my works. It s

Airlines are known to take on contract employees such as cabin crew, ticketing and check in agents.
Variation in domestic foreign oil price
The time is not going well for airlines industry. It is suffering in a pity condition due to increase in
aviation turbine fuel (ATF). ATF accounts for 35 per cent of the total airlineexpenses. The price of
ATF is increased 3 times in last 3 years. Just in last 5 months it has increased by 65%. Interesting
thing is that in the market of Singapore Dubai, it is Rs.45 per liter but in India it has the 21%
higher price. First let s know why its price is higher.
In India the aviation companies have to spend more to purchase ATF. Airlines in India pay the
most for fuel when compared with other Asia Pacific hubs like Singapore, Hong Kong and
Colombo, mainly on account of higher tax rates. Aviation Turbine Fuel or jet fuel in Delhi, the
city that houses the nation s second busiest airport, costs USD 1,291 per kilolitre while the same
in Singapore is sold at USD 1,067 per kl. It costs USD 1,100 per kl in Hong Kong and USD 1,113
in Colombo. For airlines, refueling cost in Delhi is 21.73 per cent higher than that in Singapore.
Similarly, airlines in India pay 14.82 per cent and 13.87 per cent more than what those in Colombo
and Hong Kong pay respectively.
Over the past four months, cost of jet fuel in Delhi has risen from USD 1,023 per kl in April to

Controversy Between Theistic Evolution And Religion
As Francis Collins stated, Theistic Evolution is the belief that evolution is real, but that it was set in
motion by God (Collins). Theistic Evolution does not separate the ideas of Creation and Evolution,
and consider them as contrasting ideas. Instead, Theistic Evolution proposes that God s Creation
included Evolution. People with this belief argue that Evolution is a part of God s Plan. Instead of
interpreting the Bible literally, people of Theistic Evolution belief believe that the Bible should be
interpreted loosely, taking only certain amounts the Bible for truth. Theistic Evolution accepts all
scientific discoveries, or theories, such as the Big Bang, Evolution, and that the world began
millions of years ago. The controversy with Theistic Evolution, is that it is considered to contradict
itself, choosing to interpret only some portions of the Bible literally. The problem is that Christians
with this belief are accepting Humanistic world views, which contradict and are inconsistent with
the Bible and Christian religion. While the book of Genesis states that God created the Earth before
the Sun and the Moon, people of the Evolutionist belief say the opposite, claiming that the Sun and
the Moon came before the Earth (Mortenson).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One issue, is that if Christians believe that God rested after the six day creation of the Earth, when
do people that believe in Theistic Evolution believe He rested? Evolution is an ongoing process,
therefore, there has been no time for rest. Theistic Evolutionists are therefore discrediting Genesis
and the Word of God (Stewart). Theistic Evolution also contradicts the Creation of Adam. The
book of Genesis says that God created Man from the dust. God created Adam, a full human. He did
not create a sub human or anything else that developed into Adam, He just created Adam. Theistic
Evolution claims that man developed by evolving from a prior

The Effect of Hydrogen Peroxide Concentration on Catalase...
Introduction
H2O2 is commonly known as hydrogen peroxide and it is a strong oxidizer and a naturally
produced compound in humans as a by product of oxidative metabolism. Because of this, humans
also produce the enzyme catalase peroxidases in order to convert small amounts of H2O2 into
oxygen and water. It uses the following chemical formula:
2H_2 O_2в†’O_2+гЂ–2HгЂ—_2 O
This process is called decomposition as two hydrogen peroxide molecules are broken down into
oxygen and two water molecules.
Catalase is an important enzyme that protects cells from oxidative damage, which hydrogen
peroxide can cause. It is an incredibly efficient enzyme where one catalase molecule can convert
millions of hydrogen peroxide molecules each second.
This experiment looked at how substrate concentration can affect enzyme activity. In this case the
substrate was hydrogen peroxide and the enzyme was catalase. Pieces of meat providing the
catalase were added to increasing concentrations of hydrogen peroxide in order to measure the
effect of hydrogen peroxide concentrations on the enzyme s activity. The variable measured was
oxygen produced, as water would be too difficult to measure with basic equipment.
Research Question
What is the effect of the concentration of a hydrogen peroxide solution on catalase activity?
Hypothesis
The hypothesis is that catalase activity will increase exponentially with higher concentrations of
hydrogen peroxide until all catalase active sites are filled, in which case the

It is quite common for a home owner to be curious about a new building that they have acquired
or plan to acquire. Additionally several people tend to research about the building they are
working or living in. Some people also often set off on a quest to gain knowledge about other
buildings and monuments. The main areas of interest of such people is to find more information
about the previous owners and more details about the history of the building. Here are a list of main
factors that such people are usually interested in:
Date of construction of the building
The initial owner of the building and more details about him.
List of subsequent owners if any.
What the building was originally built for.
The original state of the building and the changes made there after.
Changes in the immediate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This person is likely to have access to a great deal of information of New York Census.
To get a brief idea of the architecture style and trends at the time the building was constructed, it is
possible to consult the Art and Architecture section of a library. For example, the New York Public
Library has such a division.
One of the best placed to find plenty of information regarding the history of a building is the Tax
Assessor s office. Since this office needs to keep records for official purposes they have a great
deal of information. The information available here includes the current owner, building
construction area, a list of past owners, the past and current uses of the building, material used in
construction of the building, list of building violations if any, any photographs associated with
building and much more.
The maps and surveyors office is a good place to get hold of old maps and surveys. It is possible
to trace back using information received from this office and put together the overall history of the
building and its

Narrative Of The Life Of Frederick Douglas
November 29, 2002
Problematic:
Why was it so important for slave owners that their slaves should remain ignorant and what
strategies did they use to achieve this goal?
If you give a nigger an inch, he will take an ell. A nigger should know nothing but to obey his
master to do as he is told to do , a sentence said by Mr Auld in the Narrative of the Life of Frederick
Douglas, written by himself (Boston 1845).
Since last year, I have been interested in slave narratives and I read some about them. And each
time, or almost, I noticed many common features in those books. As we already know, slaves were
generally ill treated, whipped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Otherwise, what could justify this condition of slaves? Once more, in order to justify their
ownership of other human beings, slave owners must constantly deny the humanity of their slaves.
To convince themselves that their slaves are not quite human, slave owners treat them inhumanely.
Even if some slaveholders were deeply convinced that black people were white men s equal, they
had to deny it or else slavery would stop. This is what Frederick Douglas called the evil of slavery
in his narrative when good natured slave owners had to forget their own feelings and to behave
very severely toward them for the continuation of slavery. In treating their slaves like beasts, the
masters became one themselves.
Then, slave owners separated young slaves from their family very early so as to avoid strong
alliances among the slaves which could be a serious threat to their hold on power. On the
contrary, they wanted to develop a sense of individuality and rivalry among slaves, they were
trying to divide them. For example, slave owners rewarded slaves for giving information on one
another. This is how they partially prevented slaves from forming organized rebellions. There is
an example which shows the efficiency of this practice in Frederick Douglas s narrative since he
is betrayed, probably by one of his closest friend on his first attempt to escape

Albert Fish Christened Hamilton Fish but referred to himself as Albert Fish, the name of a dead
brother. A prolific American serial killer in the early 1900 s. Albert Fish lived a disturbing and
traumatic past which would lead him to commit heinous acts of crime victimizing children. The
most known crime, due to evidence, included the abduction, strangulation, and cannibalization of
12 year old Grace Budd in 1928 (Bardsley, 2012; Ramsland McGrain, 2010; Vronsky, 2004).

on May 19, 1870 to a 75 year old father and 32 year old Scot Irish American mother, the case of
Albert Fish has been notorious for the aspect and studies on nature vs. nurture (Bardsley, 2012;
Reitwiesner, n.d). His father was an old Potomac River boat captain, and his mother suffered
from auditory and visual hallucinations, and had reportedly 5 children (Bardsley, 2012;
Schechter, 1990). Albert was the youngest. His family had a strong background of mental illness
and two of them allegedly died in asylums (Schechter, 2012). After the death of his father, Fish s
mother placed him in an orphanage where he was regularly abused and according to Fish, that s
where he got started wrong because he began to enjoy the physical pain that the whippings
brought (Bardsley, 2012; Wilson, 2004). Fish stated: We were unmercifully whipped. I saw boys
doing many things they should not have done (Wilson, 2004). Researchers have settled that the
abuse received by his teacher in the orphanage was a severe form shame punishment and influenced
Albert Fish s claims that he had always wanted to inflict pain on to himself and others (Schechter,
2003). It was in St. John s Orphanage that Fish would discover that feeling pain and witnessing
others being caused pain would sexually arouse him (Wilson Seaman, 2004). Learning to enjoy
watching his peers in pain could have contributed to his attraction to picquerism, and to castrating,

video games. That is an alarming rate, which concerns both the public and scientist. Through out
this paper three different articles will be analyzed and their view on the impact of video games on
children s and adolescents. The first article to be discussed is Prospective Investigation of Video
Game Use in Children and Subsequent Conduct Disorder and Depression Using Data from the
Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children. In this article research is done on how video
game violence have affect a child s behavior. They conducted this research by using self report
questionnaires; they started by asking children at age 8/9 years their game use. The type of video
game played was assessed with the question: Which types of computer games do you have at
home? Children were free to check any game that was applicable to them. Different game options
were included in the questionnaire, the options differed from violent games like those that include
firearms, blood and weapons, sport games, racing, puzzles, and other educational or learning
games. This questionnaire was designed this way to get the most precise results. The studies results
indicated that playing violent video games in childhood has a weak association with an increased
risk of conduct disorder in adolescence. They measured this by testing and investigating children

Liberal Party Reforms
The Conservatives did more than the Liberal Party to advance the cause of reform in the period
1866 to 1885 Explain why you agree or disagree with this statement. During the period from 1866
until 1885 the electorate widened significantly from 1.3 million voters to 5.5 million. There were
many factors in the rising demand for Parliamentary reform such as; an increasing population,
internal migration, Radical and Trade Union campaigns, American Civil War, an economic
depression and the visit of Garibaldi. Alongside the extension of the franchise the political voting
system became far less corrupt and therefore results were a better representation of the people s
beliefs. The Conservative and Liberal Parties were the most influential throughout... Show more

In 1866 the Liberals failed to pass a very limited reform bill which would have enfranchised
400,000 men with no proposal to redistribute parliamentary seats. Although the bill was only
limited it would have still secured a change yet the Conservatives opposed it as it is still theirs,
and not ours, and will give them control of the boroughs for half a dozen years to come Disraeli.
Under Gladstone s Liberal Government there was a period of great electoral reform 1872 85.
Firstly, in The Ballot Act 1872 was passed. The Act made voting secret and therefore reduced
bribery and corrupt practices greatly, especially in Ireland, but not completely as there were ways
of buying votes e.g. buying a beer. However, it was not introduced by the Government, but by
Edward Aldam Leatham, brother in law of John Bright, in a Private Member s Bill, although we
cannot commend the Government for passing the bill Latham was a member of the Liberal Party.
In 1883 the Government introduced The Corrupt and Illegal Practices Act which was supported by
Gladstone. The Act removed corruption during general elections. Bribery and treating was
prohibited, limits were set on the amount of money candidates were able to spend daunting a
constituency election campaign and agents and candidates would be legally liable for any
violations of the law. This Act was

It didn t happen that way either. I m not sure how it happened; not exactly. p. 303 I really admire
Margaret Atwood for incorporating questions a reader has while reading the novel and somehow
answering it through this writing technique. Unlike other authors who tell their story without room
for the reader to question the story s reliability, Atwood does exactly that. Offred often brings up
that what this is a retelling, a reconstruction of events encouraging the reader to actually analyze
whether they believe her story or not. For me, this style of writing has influenced me into thinking

Years earlier, Offred had visited with Luke, cheating on his wife and here she was again with the
Commander, also cheating on his wife. The irony between the two times has really allowed me to
witness how little Offred has changed compared to the immense changes that have occurred in
society. Perhaps Margaret Atwood wanted to transfer this message to her readers or maybe she just
wanted to allow the reader to easily follow this devastating tale. In any case, this technique worked
well for me throughout the span of the novel.

Examples Of Escapism In The Vietnam War
During the Vietnam war in 1955, many American troops were affected both psychologically and
physically, both soldiers inside Vietnam and the friends and families on the outside. Upon being
thrust into this world of death and warfare, the issue arose of soldiers not being able to cope
resulting in many war side effects. To avoid this many of the soldiers developed and practiced
coping mechanisms to help them deal with the horrors of war. Common forms of coping
mechanisms were both controversial to the US army and despised by many Americans back home.
Examples of escapism used are prostitution, psychological escapism, drugs, and narcotics as well as
alcohol. As well as being controversial these coping mechanisms also affected soldiers performances

Life After High School
Life after high school can be one of the most difficult decisions in your life. And it is not just one
decision, the college you choose can alter many aspects of your life. When you attempt to
choose a school to go to you have to take into consideration many things. You have to know the
major you want to go for, the minors, location, tuition cost, et cetera. I have so many options for
the next step in my life. For this paper, however, I have narrowed it down to two options: Miami
University and the University of Cincinnati. It is a close race between the two, but based on my
recent visit to Miami going there for college would be the better option for my future. Money is
an issue for mostly all college students, everyone is always worried about the debt they will
obtain by going through schooling and how they are going to pay it off. Unless someone can get
a full ride scholarship, you are going to have to owe money to the university you go to. My
solution is that I will be making enough money after college to pay it off pretty quickly so I do
not have to owe too much money throughout my life. Miami tuition is around $15,000 and room
and board is around $13,000 so the total is somewhere close to $28,000 ( 2017 Cohort ).
Cincinnati tuition is $11,000 and room and board can be from $11,000 to $13,000, so between
$22,000 and $24,000 would be the total ( UC Facts ). I intend to get scholarships through various
companies or associations to bring the total price per year down.

The existence of sensory memory was proven by Sperling (1960), in this experiment Sperling
discovered that after showing the participants a series of letters for less than a second they
where then asked to recall as many letters as possible but on average they only could recall about
36%. According to Lloyd et al (1984) about 5% of all of a persons memories that are stored in their
sensory memory are transferred to their short term memory.
The short term memory allows a person to store the information for long enough for it to be used,
the short term memory can also be called the working memory however this term later came to
have a different meaning. The short term memory however only has a limited capacity to store
information; Miller (1956) claims that in order to save space in a person s short term memory they
chunk information together but despite this space saving the short term memory can only hold
seven plus or minus two of these chunks of information. According to Atkinson and Shiffrin (1971)
this information can be stored unaided for about 15 30 seconds, this time frame can be extended by
rehearsal.
It is commonly accepted that a person s long term memory has an unlimited capacity to store
information; this information can effectively be stored for the persons entire life if needed. Bower
(1975) claims that among other information that is stored within a person s long term memory are
five key pieces of information. A spatial model of the world

That debate rages on between sportsmen and environmental conservationists alike. There are two
big organizations when it comes to conserving waterfowl and wetlands, Ducks Unlimited and
Delta Waterfowl. Both groups are able to raise millions of dollars for waterfowl due to their
enormous amount of members. However, I feel that Ducks Unlimited is the better conservation
group because they can maintain and manage the landscape of an ecosystem effectively, and they

Ducks Unlimited tries to revert these watersheds back to their natural levels by draining the
wetlands that have extremely high levels of contaminants in the water. They then clean the soil
in the habitat and find a way to decrease the extra contaminates from entering the watershed. Next
they will pump healthy water back into the wetlands and install buffer strips that act like a filter
that will catch the extra nutrients and silt. The restoration of grasslands and forests is extremely
important when it comes to breeding grounds for ducks. Dabbling Ducks use the tall grass found
around ponds or in marshes to build nest and raise their young. Diving Ducks will flock to
flooded forest areas and build a nest inside the holes of a tree and they will raise their young from
above the ground. In recent years these habitats have been reduced significantly for farming and
other purposes. In order to restore these habitats Ducks Unlimited must first purchase the land from
the landowner. After they have the rights to the property they will begin to make changes to the
area so it can be a more suitable ecosystem for waterfowl. When restoring grasslands Ducks

This New GM emerged after the Chapter 11 Reorganization of the 100 year old Old GM in
2009. According to their company website, the unyielding mission of the New GM is to earn
customers for life. GM divides itself into the four automotive segments GM North America
(GMNA), GM Europe (GME), GM South America (GMSA), and GM International Operations
(GMIO) to serve the world s six populated continents. GMNA, GM s largest segment,
manufactures, develops, and markets vehicles under the brands Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and
GMC to meet the demands of wholesalers, retailers, and fleet customers in North America.
Elsewhere, the company provides the brands Holden, Opel, and Vauxhall as well as its North
American vehicle lineup. GM also maintains direct or indirect equity stakes in various regional
subsidiaries, mostly in Asia, and these companies extend the GM vehicle lineup to include Alpheon,
Baojun, Jiefang, and Wuling. One should note retail and fleet customers obtain a wide range of
aftersales vehicle services and products through the GM dealer network, such as maintenance and
collision repairs. Because GM manufactures standard, luxury, and hybrid cars as well as light trucks,
its customer base theoretically extends to all drivers throughout their lives. Reflected in the mission

Frannie s Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Analysis
A thorough analysis of Frannie s indications presents that she is displaying symptoms of
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a condition in which an
individual has reoccurring, obsessions and compulsions (The National Institute of Mental Health,

is prevalent in her fear of dirt and germs, and her preoccupation with neatness. It is also apparent
in her fear of embarrassing herself and her family ( The Case of Frannie n.d). The symptom of
repetitive rituals such as checking locks, excessive cleaning, also indicates obsessive compulsive
disorder being Frannie s condition. The fact that these thoughts and behaviors consume a... Show

Exposure and response prevention will allow Frannie to be exposed to situations that provoke her
anxiety and compulsive behavior as well as her rituals Gorrindo Parekh, 2017). This form of
therapy allows for her to learn how to stop her rituals, and decrease her anxiety ( Gorrindo
Parekh, 2017). This therapy method will provide benefits to Frannie because it is one that can be
easily recreated. During her sessions, she will, with her therapist, develop guidelines to follow to
prevent her typical responses to the given exposures (Gorrindo Parekh, 2017). Introducing Frannie

Canadian Constitution Act of 1982
I found myself thinking sociologically when I realized that equality in Canada is less practiced as
what the Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 claims. In this constitution, it is stated that every
individual should be treated equally regardless of their race, ethnicity, colour, religion, sex, age, and
any disability; however, in reality, individuals experience inequality in the form of racism
throughout the Canadian society. For instance, a few months ago, a black male was asked to leave
the St. Laurent shopping centre by the mall securities as the position of his pants were viewed as
not family friendly but this type of fashion is normal for teenagers who are influenced by the hip
hop culture. As the man did not want to cause any trouble,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Moreover, in 1940s, Canadian born, black students were not admitted in Canadian nursing schools
because of the idea that Canadian hospitals would not hire them. Thus, the author concludes that
Black nurses face racism today because of the historical exclusion and segmentation in the labour
market.
The authors, Gillian Creese and Tania Das Gupta, both demonstrate that equality is less pronounced
than the Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 states. Although these two articles were written on
different time periods in history, both articles display racism in the Canadian society, specifically
at a workplace. Creese focuses on the experiences of Chinese workers whereas Gupta investigates
the experiences of Black nurses. However, Creese s description of racism is more extreme than
Gupta s, which could indicate that there has been an improvement in equality in Canada.
Regardless, these articles prove that there is a difference between the promise made by the
constitution and reality.
Canada is known as a multicultural nation and is praise internationally for its immigration policy.
However, there has been an issue of racial profiling in the criminal justice system. The article The
Usual Suspects: Police Stop and Search Practices in Canada by Scot Wortley and Akwasi Owusu
Bempah, explores the existence of racial profiling. The authors argue that racial discrimination has
existed throughout the Canadian society,

Once at this point, they were thrown into massive piles and either buried or burned. The people carrying the bodies were also Jews forced to do this job. At least they were lucky to be alive. These people will be scarred for the rest of their lives. These memories will be burned into their brains forever. What these Jewswere put through is inhumane and should never happen to anyone no matter what they ve done. He has composed for movies like The Lion King, The Prince of Egypt, Pearl Harbor, Batman Begins, and Gladiator. He is best known for his work with electronic synthesizers and keyboards. His works are well renowned around the world, and will be remembered throughout the ages. Hans Zimmer was born in Germany, but was raised mostly in England (AllMusic). With The Recent Election Being Highly Controversial And With the recent election being highly controversial and contested the United States finds itself with an incredibly volatile and inclement political climate. While the United States continues to face social and political issues rap music and its artist have been a source to document the oppression that is still occurring within the country. Documenting racism and oppression by using politically charged lyrics is a method the rap community is particularly familiar. As time went on rap artists began to become more politically informed and began to shine through their lyrics to become sources to start a national dialogue. Price: Comparison of Culture and Work The historical parallel of culture and how both received criticisms is remarkable comparison between the two art forms. In the scholarly article, Hegemony, Hope, and the Harlem Renaissance: Taking Hip Hop Culture Seriously author, Robert Price, offers an excellent depiction of the similarity between the two art forms and provides the reader with several examples of how both groups of artists had the same beginnings and culture. Price offers a comparative analysis of the two cultures by demonstrating how both groups faced criticism from outside sources but even faced criticism within the African American community. Price builds upon the idea by describing the paradigm shift that both the rap artists and the protest poets had faced. Price uses Bill Cosby as an example of a critic of the culture rap music created and truly does not believe in the use of rap music as a political beacon to start a national dialogue for the oppression of the African American community. After offering Cosby as an example as a critic of rap culture Price begins to offer an analysis of a paradigm shift between the new and old generation. Price offers an example of the paradigm shift by stating, The generational shift at work in hip hop culture as the new ideological nexus for black culture has implications for adult educators and administrators who need to take these cultural shifts seriously. YOFFIE tC Cola Wars Continue: Coke and Pepsi in the Twenty First Century For over a century, Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola vied for throat share of the world s beverage market. The most intense battles of the cola wars were fought over the $60 billion industry in the United States, where the average American consumed 53 gallons of carbonated soft drinks (CSD) per year. In a carefully waged competitive struggle, from 1975 to 1995 both Coke and Pepsi achieved average annual growth of around 10% as both U.S. and worldwide CSD consumption consistently rose. Four major participants were involved in the production and distribution of CSDs: 1) concentrate producers; 2) bottlers; 3) retail channels; and 4) suppliers.3 Concentrate Producers The concentrate producer blended raw material ingredients (excluding sugar or high fructose corn syrup), packaged it in plastic canisters, and shipped the blended ingredients to the bottler. The concentrate producer added artificial sweetener to make diet soda concentrate, while bottlers added sugar or high fructose corn syrup themselves. The process involved little capital investment in machinery, overhead, or labor. A typical concentrate manufacturing plant cost approximately $25 million to $50 million to build, and one plant could serve the entire United States. This paper is meant to look at what took place during the start of the meltdown and what caused Lehman to fail. Who was involved? What caused one of the largest banking institutions in history to fail? What could have been done differently? These are a few of the questions I d like to address in the next few pages. In the Fall of 2008 things were starting to look bad for Lehman Brothers. Much of their investments were in the housing market which was beginning to fall, and fall hard. In 1994, right around when Dick Fulds was appointed CEO, Lehman shares were valued at $4/share, by 2007 at Lehman s peak, shares were valued at a staggering $84/share. This massive growth was primarily attributed to Lehman s expansion into other more complex investments, including credit default swaps. As defined by Investopedia, A credit default swapis a particular type of swap designed to transfer the credit exposure of fixed income products between two or more parties. In a credit default swap, the buyer of the swap makes payments to the swap s seller up until the maturity date of a contract. In return, the seller agrees that, in the event that the debt issuer defaults or experiences another credit event, the seller will pay the buyer the security s premium as well all interest payments that would have been paid between that time and the security s maturity date. At the time this was seen as a normal practice, but firms began to speculate with these swaps and this is what ultimately caused many large financial firms like AIG to collapse. The interview questions focused on cultural elements based on Hofstede s research: power distance, low high context, and general business behavior in these countries. Lessons Learned Report Knowledge of other cultures is one of the keys to being successful in business dealings. During this process most people would say this when Americans really show out for their democracy. Many times we have seen the electoral college not work in favor of the people.. Or maybe it does. The arguments to maintain the Electoral College system are all derived from the notion that it has worked fine thus far. There have been many attempts to reform the electoral system but none of them have been successful. This is due to the fact that no electionsystem is perfect, but the current system has stood the test of time. It has never rejected the winner of a popular vote majority. Along the years, many people have argued that the electoral college is not a fair. Twice with the running candidates we have seen elect presidents win due to the electoral college. For example, back in 2000 with Gore vs Bush, Gore had won the popular vote but did not win the amount of electoral votes to win presidency, therefore Bush had won and became president. A second example of this happening is in the recent president election with Clinton vs Trump, Clinton had won the popular vote by nearly 2 million more votes than Trump. In the end, Trump was the first to receive all 270 electoral votes needed to win and therefore won and became our elect president. Theistic Evolution does not separate the ideas of Creation and Evolution, and consider them as contrasting ideas. Instead, Theistic Evolution proposes that God s Creation included Evolution. People with this belief argue that Evolution is a part of God s Plan. Instead of interpreting the Bible literally, people of Theistic Evolution belief believe that the Bible should be interpreted loosely, taking only certain amounts the Bible for truth. Theistic Evolution accepts all scientific discoveries, or theories, such as the Big Bang, Evolution, and that the world began millions of years ago. The controversy with Theistic Evolution, is that it is considered to contradict itself, choosing to interpret only some portions of the Bible literally. The problem is that Christians with this belief are accepting Humanistic world views, which contradict and are inconsistent with the Bible and Christian religion. • 22. The Effect of Hydrogen Peroxide Concentration on Catalase... Introduction H2O2 is commonly known as hydrogen peroxide and it is a strong oxidizer and a naturally produced compound in humans as a by product of oxidative metabolism. Because of this, humans also produce the enzyme catalase peroxidases in order to convert small amounts of H2O2 into oxygen and water. It uses the following chemical formula: 2H_2 O_2в†’O_2+гЂ–2HгЂ—_2 O This process is called decomposition as two hydrogen peroxide molecules are broken down into oxygen and two water molecules. Catalase is an important enzyme that protects cells from oxidative damage, which hydrogen peroxide can cause. It is an incredibly efficient enzyme where one catalase molecule can convert millions of hydrogen peroxide molecules each second. This experiment looked at how substrate concentration can affect enzyme activity. In this case the substrate was hydrogen peroxide and the enzyme was catalase. Pieces of meat providing the catalase were added to increasing concentrations of hydrogen peroxide in order to measure the effect of hydrogen peroxide concentrations on the enzyme s activity. The variable measured was oxygen produced, as water would be too difficult to measure with basic equipment. Research Question What is the effect of the concentration of a hydrogen peroxide solution on catalase activity? Hypothesis The hypothesis is that catalase activity will increase exponentially with higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide until all catalase active sites are filled, in which case the ... Once more, in order to justify their ownership of other human beings, slave owners must constantly deny the humanity of their slaves. To convince themselves that their slaves are not quite human, slave owners treat them inhumanely. Even if some slaveholders were deeply convinced that black people were white men s equal, they had to deny it or else slavery would stop. This is what Frederick Douglas called the evil of slavery in his narrative when good natured slave owners had to forget their own feelings and to behave very severely toward them for the continuation of slavery. In treating their slaves like beasts, the masters became one themselves. Then, slave owners separated young slaves from their family very early so as to avoid strong alliances among the slaves which could be a serious threat to their hold on power. On the contrary, they wanted to develop a sense of individuality and rivalry among slaves, they were trying to divide them. For example, slave owners rewarded slaves for giving information on one another. This is how they partially prevented slaves from forming organized rebellions. And it is not just one decision, the college you choose can alter many aspects of your life. When you attempt to choose a school to go to you have to take into consideration many things. You have to know the major you want to go for, the minors, location, tuition cost, et cetera. I have so many options for the next step in my life. For this paper, however, I have narrowed it down to two options: Miami University and the University of Cincinnati. It is a close race between the two, but based on my recent visit to Miami going there for college would be the better option for my future. Money is an issue for mostly all college students, everyone is always worried about the debt they will obtain by going through schooling and how they are going to pay it off. Unless someone can get a full ride scholarship, you are going to have to owe money to the university you go to. My solution is that I will be making enough money after college to pay it off pretty quickly so I do not have to owe too much money throughout my life. Miami tuition is around $15,000 and room and board is around $13,000 so the total is somewhere close to $28,000 ( 2017 Cohort ). Examples of Japanese Military Strategy Essay examples Operation Hawaii: Yamamoto had plans on neutralizing and sinking the U.S. Fleet in Hawaii Waters, this would allow japan the time to consolidate its empire. The war would begin with a massive blow against the U.S. Pacific Fleet. Americans were unaware of the plan and they see the Japanese to be inferior to them and unsuited as soldiers and aviators. On November 26, 1941, 6:00 am, the task force sailed to pearl harbor, staying undetected. There was no sun, moon nor stars so the weather was in their favor until the morning they launched their attack, which made navigation difficult. On December 2, they received the message, giving them authorization to attack their prey. By that time the Japanese government was convinced that war was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nearly all Japanese air power was destroyed and their eighteenth army was forced to retreat into the jungle. Battle for the Island of Biak ( May 27 1944 July 29 1944 ) This battle was a turning point in Japanese military Strategy. The Japanese practice is to meet the invaders beachhead, and if unsuccessful, they proceed to launch suicidal Banzai charges at the enemy s position in an attempt to drive them back to sea. The Americans started producing new planes; one of them was the Hellcat, which was one of the strongest planes made. The development of a new aircraft was not limited to fighters alone, there were other aircraft manufactured like the B 29 which was the largest plane ever built. For self defense the plane was armed with a .50 caliber machine gun and a 20mm cannon. During 1943 Admiral Nimitz was prepared to take the next step in his planned recon quest of the islands leading to Japan, The first of these landings, called, Operation Galvanic, which was to take place in the Gilbert Island Chain, a former, New Zealand colony. The islands of Betio and Makin were designated as necessary to control the Gilberts, which stood directly athwart the American supplyroute to Australia. The study was conducted to test the electromyography activity in connection with the scapular position. The limitations of the study are not clear to me. After reading the study though I would say that the bodies of the participants could be a limitation. Human individuals are able to withstand different things within the own comfort. The ADRET seemed to be the most changeling for the participants, due to the posterior pelvic tilt position. With the pelvic tilt creating and maintaining tension and posture within the body. When trying to build muscle or even doing common exercises, each individual s muscles are able to withstand a different amount. Finding something that works well for everyone can be challenging. I would recommend the ABRET for the standard plank position. This position allows the muscle within the body to work together to reach a common goal. With the dorsal section of the body being as flat as possible all the muscles and able to use the strength of those around it to maintain posture, to prevent tears or injury. • 36. Essay about Mulit-Store Model of Memory vs. Working Memory... Compare and contrast the multi store model of memory with the working memory model. This essay will firstly briefly describe the theories and important facts about the original multi store model of memory (MSM) and the working memory model (WMM). This essay will then evaluate the key studies within these two models and explain the strengths and weaknesses of the main theories. The final part of this essay will be to examine the similarities and differences between the two models. The first issue that needs to be addressed however is what exactly is memory? Without memory we would be servants of the moment, with nothing but our innate reflexes to help us deal with the world. There would be no language, no art, no science, no ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The existence of sensory memory was proven by Sperling (1960), in this experiment Sperling discovered that after showing the participants a series of letters for less than a second they where then asked to recall as many letters as possible but on average they only could recall about 36%. According to Lloyd et al (1984) about 5% of all of a persons memories that are stored in their sensory memory are transferred to their short term memory. The short term memory allows a person to store the information for long enough for it to be used, the short term memory can also be called the working memory however this term later came to have a different meaning. The short term memory however only has a limited capacity to store information; Miller (1956) claims that in order to save space in a person s short term memory they chunk information together but despite this space saving the short term memory can only hold seven plus or minus two of these chunks of information. According to Atkinson and Shiffrin (1971) this information can be stored unaided for about 15 30 seconds, this time frame can be extended by rehearsal. It is commonly accepted that a person s long term memory has an unlimited capacity to store information; this information can effectively be stored for the persons entire life if needed. Bower (1975) claims that among other information that is stored within a person s long term memory are five key pieces of information. A spatial model of the world ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Ducks Unlimited Vs. Delta Waterfowl Ducks Unlimited vs. Delta Waterfowl Even though there are many ways to conserve waterfowl, there technically are not any wrong ways. However, one could argue that there are better ways. That debate rages on between sportsmen and environmental conservationists alike. There are two big organizations when it comes to conserving waterfowl and wetlands, Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl. Both groups are able to raise millions of dollars for waterfowl due to their enormous amount of members. However, I feel that Ducks Unlimited is the better conservation group because they can maintain and manage the landscape of an ecosystem effectively, and they are a greater political force compared to Delta Waterfowl. Ducks Unlimited was founded by Joseph ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ducks Unlimited tries to revert these watersheds back to their natural levels by draining the wetlands that have extremely high levels of contaminants in the water. They then clean the soil in the habitat and find a way to decrease the extra contaminates from entering the watershed. Next they will pump healthy water back into the wetlands and install buffer strips that act like a filter that will catch the extra nutrients and silt. The restoration of grasslands and forests is extremely important when it comes to breeding grounds for ducks. Dabbling Ducks use the tall grass found around ponds or in marshes to build nest and raise their young. Diving Ducks will flock to flooded forest areas and build a nest inside the holes of a tree and they will raise their young from above the ground. In recent years these habitats have been reduced significantly for farming and other purposes. In order to restore these habitats Ducks Unlimited must first purchase the land from the landowner. After they have the rights to the property they will begin to make changes to the area so it can be a more suitable ecosystem for waterfowl. When restoring grasslands Ducks Unlimited will replant the local grasses and dig ponds in the area, these actions will help hatchlings survive to adulthood. After these properties have been restored Ducks Unlimited will donate the land to government agencies that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Touchscreens now become a fundamental tool which facilitates daily tasks, such as e mail, navigation and web browsing. Compared to traditional input devices such as keyboards and mice, touchscreens provide a more natural and direct way to interact with the digital world. However, one drawback of touch interactions in most current devices is that they are still two dimensional the interface feels like flat glass because it produces no tactile feedback, and our interaction is still highly dependent on a pattern of visual feedback. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a condition in which an individual has reoccurring, obsessions and compulsions (The National Institute of Mental Health, 2017). The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders has recently been updated to group together Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and trichotillomania together and redefined the diagnoses of excoriating disorder and hoarding disorder. • 43. Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 I found myself thinking sociologically when I realized that equality in Canada is less practiced as what the Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 claims. In this constitution, it is stated that every individual should be treated equally regardless of their race, ethnicity, colour, religion, sex, age, and any disability; however, in reality, individuals experience inequality in the form of racism throughout the Canadian society. For instance, a few months ago, a black male was asked to leave the St. Laurent shopping centre by the mall securities as the position of his pants were viewed as not family friendly but this type of fashion is normal for teenagers who are influenced by the hip hop culture. Moreover, in 1940s, Canadian born, black students were not admitted in Canadian nursing schools because of the idea that Canadian hospitals would not hire them. Thus, the author concludes that Black nurses face racism today because of the historical exclusion and segmentation in the labour market. The authors, Gillian Creese and Tania Das Gupta, both demonstrate that equality is less pronounced than the Canadian Constitution Act of 1982 states. Although these two articles were written on different time periods in history, both articles display racism in the Canadian society, specifically at a workplace. Creese focuses on the experiences of Chinese workers whereas Gupta investigates the experiences of Black nurses. However, Creese s description of racism is more extreme than Gupta s, which could indicate that there has been an improvement in equality in Canada. Regardless, these articles prove that there is a difference between the promise made by the constitution and reality. Canada is known as a multicultural nation and is praise internationally for its immigration policy. However, there has been an issue of racial profiling in the criminal justice system.
