specific genome for different purposes.
• The first person accredited with making a cell
bank for widespread use was Kral,
a Czechoslovakian scientist who created his
cell bank collection in the late 1890s.
• Cryo-Cell International is the world's first private cord
blood bank. In 1992, the company was the first in the
world to separate and preserve stem cells.
