This case discusses a 23-year-old Mongolian woman who presented with recurrent syncope in the past 2 years. Tests revealed non-sustained ventricular tachycardia on Holter monitor and a prolonged QTc interval of 406 ms. Radiofrequency catheter ablation was performed and eliminated the daily attacks of non-sustained VT. However, spontaneous idiopathic ventricular fibrillation with near syncope occurred after ICD implantation, though it terminated spontaneously. The discussion notes that in 27 similar patients who underwent ablation of primary idiopathic ventricular fibrillation, 89% had no recurrence without drugs after ablation over 24 months on average.
