This document discusses analyzing burr size in drilling processes for different alloys using image processing techniques. It aims to determine different burr dimensions and types using image processing. Researchers captured images of burrs produced from drilling various alloys and thicknesses. The images were processed in MATLAB to measure burr height, thickness, and type. The study found that image processing is an effective non-contact technique for burr analysis that can reduce costs and time compared to traditional measurement methods. The technique allows burr sizes to be predicted to aid manufacturing process planning and deburring operations.
